Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. On the card today, our 6 Man Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman will all be in singles action taking on The Ambassador’s trio of evil – Azrael, Barry Morningstar and Dr. Red Fang. Also, Pecs Stoddard gets into the ring against 5th Column member Baron von Blood. Former King (and World Champion) the Wicked Prophet meets up with Derek Deveraux. Texas Wildfire puts the Hardcore title on the line against Regulator Mammoth. Finally, in our Main Event, ‘the Ragin Cajun’ and King of HCW Rad Gumbo defends the US title against Smasher #2.
Pyro
goes off and our show is ready to get started and out comes former Ladies
Champion Korbi Kong. She power walks to
the ring and enters through the ropes.
She gets on a mic and calls out both Maxine DeVito and Chloe Parker for
costing her the Ladies title. Maxine and
Chloe come out. Maxine mocks Korbi for
losing to a newbie. Korbi says she wants
them right now and Maxine obliges but says it will have to be a handicap match
since no one wants to team with Korbi.
She and Chloe walk to the ring and climb in. They start to surround Korbi until music hits
and out rushes the Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie. Violet goes to Korbi’s side and says she will
team with her. Looks like we got
ourselves an impromptu tag team match. For the first 9 minutes, Maxine and
Chloe took the fight to Violet and Korbi but after that, the fan faves took the
fight to the challengers dominating the rest of the match. We join the match at the 18 minute mark.

The
Ambassador then makes his way out and enters the ring. He gets on the mic and says that the next
match will be the first of the domination of ‘the Squad’. Music hits and out comes Azrael who is booed
heavily. As he makes his way to the
ring, the Ambassador boasts that once his team wins all their matches, the
world will never be the same. Once in
the ring, the music changed and the fans pop as Buzz Steel makes his way
out. He shakes hands with the fans as he
makes his way to the ring. He gets in
and is attacked by Azrael. The bell
rings starting this one off. The ref
walks over to the Ambassador who hands him a wad of cash.

Ambassador raises Azrael’s arm and the fans boo heavily. Azrael goes to hit Buzz with the Darkness
again but out comes Biceps Bannerman.
Azrael drops him and stares as Biceps enters the ring. The Ambassador backs Biceps up and says his
next match is against this man. The
loudspeakers blare out “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY” and out comes Dr. Red
Fang. Fang heads to the ring and he gets
right into Biceps’ face. The bell ring
and our ‘crooked’ referee is still in the ring.
Fang take control early but Biceps begins using his power and starts to
dominate the evil vampire. We join the
match at the 9 minute mark.

Ambassador’s gang are now 2-0. Will his
prediction come true? I guess we’ll have
to wait and see. Azrael joins Fang in
the ring and they dump Biceps out of the ring with Buzz. The Ambassador handcuffs Biceps to the
ringside barrier with Buzz.
Our
next match begins with Barry Morningstar making his way out again to massive
booing from the crowd. He gets in the
ring and flexes and stretches waiting for his opponent. The music changes and out comes Starbuck
Steel. Starbuck gets on the mic and says
that there is no way he losing tonight.
Just then, he is blindsided by Azrael and Fang who snuck around while Starbuck
was distracted. They beat him down and
drag him to the ring and roll him in to Barry whose waiting. The bell rings. Starbuck dominated Barry to the point it was
just plain silly however, Barry did have his ace in the hole…his teammates and
his manager.

The
Ambassador is joined by his army and they stand over the beaten form of
Starbuck Steel. The Army dumps Biceps
and Buzz in the ring with Starbuck. The
Ambassador says that singly his team is unbeatable; as a team, they will be
Destruction. He says that his team, now
known as Devastation, Inc, will challenge for the 6 Man titles and they will
walk away victorious. Devastation Inc
then leave the ring. Refs and medics
rush out to check on Buzz, Starbuck and Biceps and take them to the back for
evaluation.
Believe
it or not, we are only half way through today’s show. Even though the average card has 5-6 matches,
tonight, we have an astonishing 8 matches.
Let’s keep the action going.
Next
up, we have ‘Perfect’ Pecs Stoddard who comes out first. He tells us that he’s come to the realization
that he is not Perfect and therefore wants to just be called Pecs Stoddard now. He gets a nice pop from the crowd as he makes
his way to the ring. His fan interaction
is cut short when 5th Column member Baron von Blood comes out. Baron makes his way to the ring amid booing
from the crowd. He gets in the ring and
calls Pecs ‘soft’. The match
begins. It is a short one. Baron punches Pecs in the face and Pecs hits
a fallaway slam. Baron then locks in the
Brain Klaw and Pecs taps out. Baron gets
the quick win. He leaves just as quickly
as this match went. (90 seconds)
Backstage,
Hardcore Champion Texas Wildfire comments that the Ambassador’s new
Devastation, Inc is going to destroy the world of wrestling as we know it if
they are not stopped. He’s afraid for
HCW’s future if they get by the Six Man Tag Team Champions, he knows HCW will step
up to stop them.
It
is time for our next match and the Hardcore title is on the line in this Street
Fight rules match. First, Regulator
Mammoth comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd. He’s not despised (like Dash Woodbrick is)
but the fans are waiting on the champ.
Once Mammoth was in the ring, the music changed and the fans pop huge
for Hardcore Champion Texas Wildfire. TW
makes his way to the ring and enters.
The match starts pretty quickly with Mammoth taking control of the match
from the get-go. At the 8 minute mark,
Mammoth hit a piledriver through the time keeper’s table. He should have gone for the pin right away
but instead rolled TW back into the ring.
When he went for the pin, Wildfire was able to get his foot on the rope
after a 1 count. Wildfire came back by
choking Mammoth with a microphone cord but he wouldn’t quit. At the 20 minute mark, Mammoth went for a
Regulator Smash but TW reversed it and hit a leaping DDT. He went for the cover and with a hook of the
leg, he got the 1-2-3. Texas Wildfire is
victorious. His victory is cut short
when the Ambassador came out and stood on stage. Over the mic, he told Wildfire to stay out of
Devastation, Inc’s way or he will once again feel their wrath. He left without further interaction.
We
cut backstage with Wicked Prophet. He
says that Jack Lumber is living on borrowed time with his title but first, he
deals with this schmuck tonight and then he will ensure Casper Wyoming gets
his. He storms off screen.
We
head back to the ring as Derek Deveraux makes his way out to a nice pop from
the crowd. He shakes hands with the fans
and then climbs into the ring. Next,
the Wicked Prophet comes out and he is booed and ridiculed by the fans for
losing the crown and the World title.
Prophet ignores them for the most part.
He climbs in the ring and attacks Derek. For the first three minutes, each time
Prophet tried to get his hands on Derek, Derek would slip away. This frustrated Prophet even more. Prophet then hit the Unrighteous Dominion and
went for the pin but Derek kicked out.
Prophet kept the pressure on and then locked in the Crucifix
Clutch. Derek first made it to the ropes
but Prophet pulled him back to the middle of the ring. With nowhere to go, he had no choice but to
tap out. Prophet gets the win but he
looks up at the stage and he sees Casper Wyoming standing there. Prophets mood went from a high to a low. Casper smiled and walked away. Prophet ended up storming out of the
ring. (8 min)
After
a momentary pause, our main event was ready to go. First, the challenger Smasher #2 comes out to
massive boos from the crowd. He flips
them off and makes his way to the ring.
He climbs in and then begins jaw jacking with the crowd riling them
up. The music changes and the fans pop
as the King of HCW and the US Champion ‘the Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo makes his
way out with his manager Ms. Alexandria.
He nods and raises his hand to the fans as he makes his way to the
ring. He removes his crown and cape and
hands them to his manager. He enters the
ring wiping his feet on the outside before entering. The bell rings starting the match.
