Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW newsletter. Our show begins almost immediately with the return of former Ladies Champion Catalina Harper who walks down to the ring and asks for a mic. Catalina says that she made a mistake and that mistake was underestimating the fans. She now realizes that with fans backing you, you can achieve anything you strive for including the top championship. She has come out here to ask the fans for forgiveness. They begin to cheer her. She continues saying that the fans of HCW are the greatest anywhere. The pop intensifies. She finishes off by saying that once the opportunity presents itself, she will be making a run for whatever title she can get her hands on. The pop continues until the music changes and out comes Violet Valkyrie. Violet says that Catalina has it all wrong. She says the fans SUCK the life out of you leaving you a shell of your former self. The fans take and take and give nothing in return. Violet says that if Catalina wants to cow-tow to the fans, she can. She (Violet) knows better. She then turns to leave without any further incident. Catalina goes to shake hands with the fans and departs also.
Pyro
goes off and our first match is ready to get underway. The
fans pop as Hayley Hailstorm’s music hits.
The small but powerful superstar makes her way out and down to the
ring. She shakes hands with fans and
high fives a few at ringside before entering the ring. She climbs the corner turnbuckle and the fans
pop for her. Her music is abruptly
changed and out comes her opponent for this evening – Lady Hermann. Her Ladyship makes her way to the ring and
the fans boo her mercilessly. After
threatening to break Hayley in half, the match begins. Right off the bat, Hayley stuns Lady Hermann
with a roundhouse kick. Lady Hermann
goes for the Natural Selection Cutter but Hayley reverses it and nails a Death
Valley Driver. Hayley goes for the pin
but Lady Hermann kicks out at 2. Hayley
picks her up and hits a second DVD. This
time she securely hooks the leg and gets the 3 count in just 3 minutes. The fans pop huge for the Hailstorm. Lady Hermann leaves without saying a
word. Hayley celebrates with the fans
before leaving.
Backstage,
‘the flannel wearing lumberjack’ Jack Lumber has some words for Drew the
Canadian Love Machine. “Drew, no one
realized you were such a sore loser. You
lose the tag team titles to, of all people, Apollo and Dash and you say you
hold me responsible? Man, you have a few
screws loose or the cold up in the Great White North has frozen your
brain. You want to take me on? Fine.
I’m not a hard man to find. “
Up
next on the card is Maximillian Redbeard vs Tommy Lightning. Tommy comes out first to massive booing from
the crowd. He flips them off and yells
at them as he makes his way to the ring. He continues the verbal onslaught
until the music changed and the fans pop as Maximillian Redbeard makes his way
out. He powerwalks down to the ring and
enters by stepping over the top rope.
Tommy exits the ring quickly trying to play mind games. The bell rings and Redbeard chases Tommy
around the ring. Tommy slides back in
and attacks as Redbeard tries to enter.
Tommy surprisingly gave Redbeard a hard time and Maximillian had trouble
staying on his feet long enough to mount any type of offense. At the
24th minute mark, Tommy drops a leg drop (ala Hulk Hogan) but
Redbeard no-sells it and is on his feet and nails Tommy with the Mac
Attack. He makes the cover and gets the
1-2-3. Maximillian gets the win and
leaves. Tommy struggles to his feet and
slowly makes his way to the back.
Backstage,
Davis Hoffmeister prepares for his match.
He is asked about the change of attitude from his former tag team
partner. “Drew is dealing with something
only he can. That’s all I can really say
on this.”
Next
up we have a Hardcore title match.
First, Phat Sol comes out to a nice pop from the crowd. Once in the ring, the music changes and we
hear “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY” and out comes the evil, diabolical Dr. Red
Fang and his manager the Ambassador. The
Ambassador gets on a mic and complains “This is the best HCW has for the
greatest Hardcore Champion ever? Come
on.” Phat asks for a mic and asks if
Fang and his manager are afraid of losing.
This gets Fang riles up and rushes to the ring. The Ambassador states that the rules for this
match will be “Lights Out”.

Phat rolls out of the ring clearing his eyes and grabs a chair. He then enters the ring and begins
swinging. Fang and his manager bail and
rush to the back being chased by a chair-wielding Phat Sol.
5th
Column members Baron von Blood and Oswald Zimmerman state that they are getting
a shot at the tag team titles tonight.
Tonight, Germany’s greatest athletes reign supreme when they win and
take the belts back to their home country.
Next
up, Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister comes out to a deafening pop from the
crowd. He interacts with the fans as he
makes his way into the ring. His music
is cut short when creepy music begins to play and out comes Madman Mason. Mason is staring into nothingness and the
look in his eyes is like no one is home minding the store. He slowly walks to the ring and enters;
almost like in a trance. Then, almost
like a switch being flipped, he comes to life and goes right after Davis immediately
hurling him shoulder first into the steel post.
He exited the ring and grabbed Davis’ extended arm and smashed it
repeatedly into the post. This nullified
most of Davis’ moves for the first 5 minutes of the match. 6 minutes in, Davis catches Mason with a
roundhouse kick that stunned the madman and then hurled him out of the ring. Just then, through the crowd, the Ragin Cajun
Rad Gumbo came through and grabbed a chair.
Mason saw him coming and decides to get the ‘H.E. double toothpicks’ out
of there. Gumbo continued chasing Mason
screaming “WHERE IS SHE?” Mason ends up
getting counted out and Davis Hoffmeister gets the win via countout. He interacts with the fans briefly before
heading to the back. (7 min)
The
World Tag Team Champions – Dash Woodbrick and Apollo Gyze - are backstage. Dash says that the Column are out of their
minds if they think they are taking the belts out of the good ol’ USA. (Dash was hoping to get a pop from the crowd
being patriotic and all but it didn’t work).
Apollo says they will turn away another team and will be victorious…and
they will not apologize for hurting anyone in the process.
It’s
time for our main event. First, 5th
Column members Baron von Blood and Oswald Zimmerman make their way out to
massive booing from the crowd. They know
that the fans dislike them but HATE the champs more. Baron gets on the mic and says that even
though they are German born, they wrestle in the US and they will honor that as
they look to defend the titles all over the world. The fans’ settled down a little bit then but
as soon as “APOLLO GYZE (and Dash Woodbrick) DON’T APOLOGIZE” blared through
the loudspeakers, they got riled up once again.
Dash and Apollo made their way out to the loudest booing of the
evening. As they were walking to the
ring, Dash tripped and it appeared he twisted his ankle. He hobbled down to the ring where the ref
checked on him. They were asked if they
wanted to continue and Apollo chimed in “I got this”.
