Hello fans and welcome back to the HCW wrestling newsletter. Now that we’re back in the swing of things, action has begun to pick up. Tonight, Nix Anderson will defend the TV title against Davis Hoffmeister. We will also see ‘The Ragin Cajun’ King Rad Gumbo defend his World Title against the Axe. Both men will be commenting on their matches later on tonight.
Before the show
kicked off, we cut backstage where El Chango has shown up and he is saying his
goodbyes to the Tacoma Roster. Just
before he leaves, he turns and sees his former tag team partner Davis
Hoffmeister (back then was known as the Stache). The two shake hands and embrace and then El
Chango says his final farewells and walks out the door.
Pyro goes off and
our show kicks off in a strong way.
First on the card will be the defense of the TV title. The challenger Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister
makes his way out to a deafening pop from the crowd. He is wearing his protective face gear to
prevent any further damage to his nose.
Next, the music changes and out comes the TV Champion Nix Anderson and
his manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher. The duo make their way out and are booed as
they head down to the ring. Nix holds
the TV title over his head like a boxer would.
He gets in the ring alongside his manager and holds the title high while
pumping a fist into the air. He sneers
as the booing intensifies. He hands over
his title to the ref who holds it up and then takes it out of the ring. Preacher has some last minute words for Nix
and then departs as the bell rings kicking this one off. Nix goes right on the offensive taking the
match to Davis taking cheap shots at Davis’ face. Davis would continue to fight back but
Preacher’s interference kept Davis relegated to the defense vs offense. Davis had just started a comeback when the
bell rang bringing this one to a time limit draw. Nix bailed out of the ring and grabbed his
title and left. As soon as he did, Ivan
Dragovich hits the ring and attacks Davis.
Ivan uses his chain and hits Davis in the face again trying to further
injure him. The ref got Davis out of
there pretty quick to avoid any further damage.
Ivan snarled at the ref.
From up on the
ramp, Nix and Matt were watching laughing until Nix was attacked from behind by
Scooter J. The attack didn’t last long
as Nix and Preacher both bolted to the back.
Scooter J gets a small pop. Davis
seems to be ok and makes his way to the back solo.
Backstage, TNT
tells the Axe that he has forgiven Scooter J and that the Axe needs to
also. Axe says he’s not totally
convinced and tells TNT to go back and watch the video where Dusty Rhodes got
conned into trusting Ric Flair and ended up with a broken arm in the
process. Axe tells him to “Keep one eye
open” and walks away just as Scooter J walks in. Scooter J acknowledges that the Axe may not
trust him and says he’ll work to regain that trust.
We head to the
ring for our next match. This one has a
career on the line. First, Wolfman Keg and
his manager Ant Graham come out to booing from the crowd. Graham
and Keg yell obscenities at the crowd and that only riles them up all the
more. Next, music changes and out comes
TNT. The crowd pops for him as he makes
his way down to the ring. Keg
immediately attacks TNT before the bell trying to get the early advantage. It doesn’t work as TNT immediately takes the
fight to Keg and begins throwing him around the ring like a ragdoll. Graham gets worried and in an attempt to stop
a pin, he attacked the ref hoping to cause the disqualification. The ref however had been prepared to expect
this tactic from Graham but instead of disqualifying Keg, he told the match to
continue. Graham was beside
himself. Not one minute later, TNT hits
Keg with the Townsend Driver and he makes the cover getting the 1-2-3. Wolfman Keg is now out of a job. TNT gets a big pop and leaves right
away. Wolfman Keg and Ant Graham head to
the back to surely get an earful from the GM.

Hayley Hailstone
is backstage just minding her own business when Felicia Cummings makes her way
over and starts to mock Hayley’s height.
Hayley tells her that if she really think she’s that much better, then
Felicia should put her top 10 spot on the line tonight. Felicia tries to laugh it off saying Hayley
is not in her league but after enough taunting from Hailstone, Felicia relents. It looks like we have ourselves another match
tonight.
We head to the
ring for our next match. First, Vanilla
Zombie comes out with her manager ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher. The duo are booed as they make their way down
to the ring. They don’t have much time
to jawjack with the fans as her opponent comes out to a pop from the
crowd. Ruby Rose makes her way out and
it’s apparent who the fans are backing in this match. The match begins pretty quick and Ruby had
control for the first 3 minutes but then after interference from Matt Preacher,
the tide turned and stayed with Vanilla for the rest of the match. 12 minutes in, Vanilla dropped Ruby with the
Soul Crusher but didn’t go for the pin due to a commotion on the outside of the
ring. Violet Valkyrie ran in from the crowd
and hit Preacher with a flying dropkick taking him out. While the ref was checking on Ruby, Violet
jumped up on the apron and bounced Vanilla’s head off the turnbuckle. She then dropped down and hopped back over the
ringside barrier and disappeared back into the crowd. Ruby climbed to the top turnbuckle and hit
the Coast to Coast dropkick onto Vanilla.
She then dragged her back into the middle of the ring and hooked the leg
for the 1-2-3. Ruby gets the win as the
fans pop huge for her. She looks out
into the crowd and nods to Violet. She leaves as Vanilla gets up and sneers at
Violet and leaves with her manager. (13

GM Max
McGillicutty is back in his office with Graham and Keg and he hands Wolfman Keg
his pink slip. Max says that since Dr.
Red Fang is also on the card tonight, he won’t put Fang’s career on the line
but Graham’s will be if Fang loses.
Graham asks who Fang’s opponent will be and Max responds with Drew the
Canadian Love Machine. The wind goes out
of Graham’s sails.
The action
continues with our next match. First, Hayley
Hailstone comes out first and the fans pop for her. Tonight, she challenges Felicia Cummings for
her spot in the Ladies Top 10 line up.
Next, Felicia makes her way out and the fan boo. She doesn’t care. Felicia gets in the ring
and walks up to Hayley towering over her.
She begins to push Hayley around but with every shove, you could tell
Hayley was getting angrier. With the
last shove, Hayley went off on Felicia like a hailstorm. Felicia managed partial control of the match
but it was apparent that the little bundle of fury was more than Felicia could
handle. She tried to leave but Hayley
wouldn’t let her. At the 14 minute mark,
Hayley hit Felicia with a Shimmering Wizard Enzuiguri and then hooked the leg
for the 3 count. Hayley gets the win and
with that, she skyrockets up the rankings while Felicia drops to the
bottom. She left the ring to a pop from the
crowd. Felicia followed shortly
thereafter.
The Axe is
backstage and he says that TNT is a big boy and will do what he wants and, if
he trusts Scooter J, well, he trusts TNT.
Tonight, he gets a shot at a title he hasn’t held in quite some time and
there is no time like the present to make changes. He tells King Rad to polish that belt up nice
and shiny as it’s coming home with him tonight.
We head back to
the ring for the next match. First, over
the loudspeakers blares “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE” and out comes the
diabolical evil vampire bot Dr. Red Fang and his manager Ant Graham. Graham is walking behind Fang and he’s
sweating up a storm. Next, the fans pop
huge as Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes out. The fans just love him. He gets into the ring and there is no time
for pleasantries as the match begins right away and was practically even for
the entire match with neither man (or bot) getting a serious advantage. In fact, the two battled right up until the
time limit. As we rolled into the final
moments of the match, Fang hits Drew with a Transylvania piledriver and goes for
a pin but Drew somehow kicked out at 2.
Drew struggled to get to his feet only to get hit by a Vampire Lunge. Fang went for the pin as Graham was outside
the ring on pins and needles. Just has
Fang made the cover, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw. It looks like Graham will be around to fight
another day. Drew left the ring but then
commotion turned his attention back to the ring as the Unknown Assassin took
out Ant Graham and then attacked Dr. Red Fang.
He hit Fang with a foreign object rendering him unconscious. The Unknown Assassin stood over Fang briefly
before leaving. (20 min for the match and
5 min for the aftermath).
We head backstage
one more time and we get to hear from the World Champion ‘the Ragin Cajun’ King
Rad Gumbo. Gumbo is accompanied by Queen
Alexandria. Gumbo says that Axe had one
thing right and that he is a former Champion.
What he had wrong was thinking he was leaving with the King’s gold. Sorry, but that isn’t happening. Gumbo is enjoying himself at the top of world
and will not be leaving anytime soon. King and Queen then leave.
It’s time for our
main event. First, the Axe comes out to
a loud pop from the crowd. He high fives
with the fans as he makes his way to the ring.
Once there, he climbs the turnbuckle to get the crowd psyched up. Next, we hear “Gumbo 7:30 says its suppa
time, bitch” and out comes the World Champion King Rad Gumbo accompanied by
Queen Alexandria. The two walk down to
the ring regally all the while the fans booed them. Gumbo flipped off a couple of fans who he
felt disrespected his Queen. He gets in
the ring and holds his title high. He
hands it to the ref and he meets the Axe in the middle of the ring. The two have a staredown until the bell
rings. King Rad stayed in control for
the majority of the match but things got dicey when Axe hit ‘the Axe’ and went for
a pin. Queen Alexandria got Rad’s leg on
the bottom rope at the last moment.
After that, Rad started taking Axe to town.

King Rad Gumbo
gets the win and retains his title. As
the show comes to an end, Rad takes his title from the ref and holds it over
his head while Queen Alexandria raises his arm as the victor of the match.
