Hello fans and
welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder. The Meltdown PPV on Wednesday was a huge
success and we even had a surprise show up at the end. After digging into it, we find out that one
of the men is a Billionaire by the name of Cushman Armitage and with him is his
right hand man Emmett Milbarge.
Apparently, Cushman has made a play to do a hostile buyout of HCW. As I write this, HCW owners and (what amounts
to) the board of directors have begun the fight to retain ownership of their
property. Even GM’s Max McGillicutty and
Master Bull have been (temporarily) sidelined with Millbarge, err, “barging” in
trying to manage HCW as a whole. The first thing Millbarge does is to bring in
the “face” who will represent what will be their new institution…a “superstar”
who goes by the name of “Big Money” Nathan Edward ‘Ned’ Rhyerson III. Emmett
feels that one thing that surfaced at the PPV was the “true story” into the
background of the Undisputed World Champion ‘the Ragin Cajun’ King Rad
Gumbo. Millbarge says that someone with
that background cannot be champion but he is not going to just strip people of
their belts just because he doesn’t like “the cut of their jib”; he’ll just
make sure that the people he wants in control will be the ones representing in
the future.
The show begins,
not with pyro but with Millbarge making his way onto the stage. He, of course, is booed. “Listen you punks, HCW is now under new
management and this laxidaizy way business has been done in the past is over. Billionaire Cushman Armitage will take HCW to
all new heights but in the process, he’ll want to be getting rid of dead weight
he feels that is dragging the company down.”
He says that he’s had numerous conversations with managers Ant Graham,
the manager of Graham’s Ghouls and “the Singapore Sensation” Matt Preacher
(managing Hardcore Hensen and Nix Anderson) and feels that both teams have been
forced into the background and he is not going to let that stand. They do have a show to put on tonight and
he’s going to let this one and the next Phoenix card stand as they were
advertised however tonight, we will be introduced to “Big Money” in a match
tonight. Emmett, before leaving, reminds
us that even the owners will “pay the price to the Billion Dollar Man.” He laughs and walks off stage.
Our show kicks off
with Ovaltine Jackson making his way down to the ring to a pop from the
crowd. Once in the ring, the music
changes and we hear in a very deep voice “Big Money” and out comes the new guy
“Big Money” Nathan Edward ‘Ned’ Rhyerson III.
The fans boo the crap out of this guy.
He flips them off as he makes his way to ringside. He climbs in the ring and (mockingly) does
the “Hogan Finger Point” at Ovaltine and that only gets the fans riled up all
the more. Ned takes off his jacket and
the bell rings. Ovaltine rushes in
hitting a diving hurricanrana but Ned immediately hurls him to the
outside. He follows him out and
repeatedly throws him into the steel steps.
Rhyerson rolls back in beating the count and Ovaltine ends up getting
counted out. Ned Rhyerson III gets the
(cheap) win via countout in his first outing in HCW. (1 min)
The fans boo him as he makes his way to the back. Ovaltine is helped up by the ref and taken to
the back.
It is announced
that the Duchess is being moved to the Phoenix Roster and returning to Tacoma
is the British Crippler. She will be
taking on the latest addition to the HCW roster. That is up next.
Our next match
begins with the British Crippler coming out and she makes her way to the ring to
a mixed reaction from the crowd. Next,
the newcomer comes out and as pyro and smoke fill the stage, she emerges from
it and we get to see Violet Valkyrie zip lining her way down to the ring. Wings from her costume expand and she slows
down as she approaches the ring. She
then drops into the center of the ring and the fans pop for this. She shows off a bit and then removes the
wings and after nodding to her opponent, it looks like this one is ready to
go. 2 minutes in, Violet locked in a
triangle choke on the British Crippler but she stood up and carried her (pretty
damn impressive) to the ropes to break the hold. They traded blows and 4 minutes later, Violet
tried for the triangle choke again but the Crippler once again made it to the
ropes to break the hold Both ladies
traded suplexes and then needed a moment.
We join the match at the 8 minute mark.

Violet Valkyrie
gets the win and the fans pop huge for her.
She walks over and extends a hand to her opponent and the British
Crippler looked up at her, sneered and then rolled out of the ring. Violet stayed and celebrated with the fans
briefly before leaving.
Backstage, ‘Red
Hot’ Lucas Johnston says that as of late, he’s been sidelined with some nagging
injuries but now he’s back to 100% and he’s ready to show the new guy Protocide
some new moves and maybe he’ll continue his winning streak…or maybe not.
Our next match is
ready to go and we hear “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!” and out comes Dr. Red
Fang accompanied by his manager Ant Graham.
The two make their way down to the ring and the fans boo the crap out of
them. Next, the music changes and out
comes the Axe. The fans pop for him as
he makes his way down to the ring. As soon as he entered the ring, Fang tried to
attack but Axe scooped him up and held him waiting for the bell to ring. As soon as it did, he delivered a devastating
backbreaker. Fang would battle back
locking in a spider web lock but Axe wouldn’t tap. Axe then rattled Fang’s teeth with a forearm
uppercut. Graham then got involved
tripping Axe and he crashed head first into the steel post. Fang dragged him towards the post where he
wrapped Axe’s leg against the post. Axe
crawled back to the center of the ring but Fang was waiting for him and once
again locked in the spider web lock.
This time, Axe couldn’t hold off and he ended up tapping out. Dr. Red Fang gets with win via submission and
Graham immediately calls for the rest of the Ghouls to come out (Mason the
Mangler and Wolfman Keg) and they try to attack Axe but TNT and Superstar Chic
Monroe come out for the save. Graham and
his Ghouls eventually leave the ring.
Axe is helped to his feet and is taken to the back to get that knee
looked at. (4 min)
Emmett Milbarge
posted a notice on a board and then walked off.
Jacques Beannot and the US Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine walk
over and see that Drew’s next US title opponent has been named but it is not
Jacques. Jacques questions why, when
he’s the #1 contender, why he’s not getting the next shot. Drew tells him that it is not his call but
HCW management. Jacques questions Drew
on if it is that or if he’s hiding from him.
Jacques walks off.
Our next match on
the card has Nix Anderson challenging Davis Hoffmeister for his spot in the TV
title lineup. Nix is making a run for
that belt and Davis is standing in his way.
First, Nix Anderson comes out accompanied by his manager ‘The Singapore
Sensation’ Matt Preacher. Preacher is
promising change in altitude when Nix skyrockets past Davis for the next
coveted spot in the TV title top 10.
Next, the music changes and out comes Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister. The fans pop loud for him as he makes his way
down to the ring. Nix waited patiently
(at the insistence of his manager) for Davis to do his thing. Once the match began, Davis owned and
controlled the tempo of the match until Preacher stepped up and bludgeoned
Davis with a foreign object. Nix then
took over dragging Davis’ face across the ropes giving him a rope burn. Nix tried a few times to go for a pin but
Davis kept kicking out. 23 minutes in,
Davis goes for a roundhouse kick but Nix reverses it and stops the action so
that he can sing. Oh boy. Davis finally had enough and drove Nix back
into the corner choking him. Nix bounced
back hitting the Nixinator. Davis got
back to his feet only to receive another ring rope face burn. He then rolled Davis up and the ref counted
(fast in our honest opinion) 1-2-3. Nix
Anderson gets the win and with that, he moves up in the TV title rankings and
Davis moves down. Nix and Preacher leave
laughing showing that they outsmarted Davis once again. (25 min)
We head backstage
where Vanilla Zombie and Ruby Rose are having a heated conversation on who gets
to challenge Ravishing Raquel next for the Ladies title. Ruby suggests they settle it in the ring
tonight. Vanilla tilts her head and asks
“why?” but Ruby shakes her head and walks off.
Vanilla cracks the ever so slightest of smiles.
The next match is
ready to go and Protocide comes out first to a pop from the crowd. He makes his way down to the ring and begins
to psyche up the crowd. Next, ‘Red Hot’
Lucas Johnston comes out and the crowd flips out. He gets such a red hot reaction from this
crowd that it’s just unbelievable. He
makes it to the ring and does his own thing getting the crowd psyched up. After that was all done, the two men met in
the middle of the ring and after a brief stare down, shook hands. The bell then rings. Lucas owned the entire match barely letting
Protocide get in any offense (which is odd because in his previous matches, he
controlled it all. Protocide gets in two
offensive moves before Lucas strapped in a reverse chinlock and turned it into
a pin. Lucas gets the 3 count and wins
the match. Lucas did his pop for the
crowd and then walked over and extended his hand to Protocide. Protocide accepted the offer and was helped
to his feet. He nodded to Lucas and then
left. Red Hot stayed and interacted with
the fans for a few moments and then eventually left. (8 min)
Hardcore Champion
Hardcore Hensen is backstage with his manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt
Preacher and Hensen spoke up before his manager could. “This title is only granted to those who can
prove they are worthy…and hardcore. If
you can’t handle the heat, you don’t enter the kitchen. This maggot thinks he can take my title…he
will be mistaken.” Preacher reminds him
that hardcore rules prevent him from being at ringside. “So that means Graham won’t be either” Hensen
responded. “It will make things that
much easier to show him why I’m HARDCORE!”
We head back to
the ring for our next match. Before the
match could begin, Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel comes out and she is
booed. She ignores them and goes to sit
at commentary. Vanilla Zombie comes out
first and she gets a huge pop from the fans.
She passes by a growing group of fans wearing zombie-like makeup. She makes it down to the ring and slides
under the bottom rope. She looks
quizzically out at the fans. The music
changes and out comes Ruby Rose. She
gets a good pop from the fans and she high-fives them as she makes her way down
to the ring. She enters the ring and
walks by Vanilla climbing the turnbuckles to louder and louder pops from the fans. Finally, she’s ready to kick this one off to
see who gets the next title shot at Raquel.
The two both glance over at Raquel and her title before locking up. Ruby
held the slight advantage over Vanilla but she persevered. Two minutes in, Ruby is whipped into the
ropes and Vanilla hits a huge powerslam but only gets a 2 count. Ruby battled but a few minutes later, Vanilla
hit a huge chokeslam and got another 2 count.
The two kept duking it out until 9 minutes in, Ruby hits an inverted DDT
and goes for a pin but Vanilla makes it to the ropes. Vanilla makes it to her feet and hits Ruby
with a headbutt. Ruby comes back and
hits the Red Wedding Facebuster. She
hooks the leg and gets the 3 count. Ruby gets the win and is now the next in
line for a shot at the ladies title.
Raquel climbs in the ring and gets right in Ruby’s face holding the
title a mere few inches from it. As Ruby
is distracted by Raquel, Vanilla blindsides her and hits her with the Soul
Crusher. Vanilla looks quizzically at
Raquel and then backs off and leaves the ring.
Raquel leaves next and Ruby makes it to her feet and shakes the cobwebs
away and makes her way to the back. (10

Emmett Millbarge
is back in GM Max McGillicutty’s office.
He is joined by billionaire Cushman Armitage. Armitage asks how Emmett thought the card
went and he says that McGillicutty has a grasp on how to run a show but he’s
lacking backbone to make the really tough decisions. Armitage tells him that the two are heading
to Phoenix mid-week to evaluate the Heat show.
Millbarge says he’s looking forward to running the whole kit and caboodle.
It’s time for our
main event. First, the challenger
Wolfman Keg makes his way out accompanied by his manager Ant Graham. They are booed as they make their way to
ringside. Next, we hear blaring over the
loudspeakers “BECAUSE I’M HARDCORE!” and out comes Hardcore champion Hardcore
Hensen accompanied by his manager Matt Preacher. The champ is also booed but he ignores
them. The ref announces that this will
be Brawl Games rules and then he sends both Preacher and Graham to the
back. Graham bitched and moaned but
Preacher walked up behind him and bitch-slapped him across the head. Graham stood there shocked and then
eventually made his way backstage. The
match then began. For ten minutes, the
match had some back and forth but they were mostly evenly matched. Keg then got in a few lucky shots but after
that, Hensen controlled it all. We join the
match now at the 13 minute mark.
