Hello
fans and welcome back to our newsletter.
The show begins backstage in GM Max McGillicutty’s office. Max says that the Steel Curtain are pushing
the envelope and tonight he reminds them who’s in charge. He announces he will be the special guest
referee for the tag team title match.
Our
opening bout kicks off with Outback Oscar making his way down to the ring. The fans give him a good welcome. Next, ScooterJ comes out and his is still
mixed but the fans are becoming more accepting of him. The two had some good back and forth and
after Oscar hit some chops to the chest (and the fans would respond with WOOOOO
each time), ScooterJ fell to the mat.
Oscar went for the pin but only got a two count. ScooterJ would battle back attempting a pin
of his own 3 times with Oscar kicking out each time. Finally, ScooterJ got Oscar in the corner
and delivered the 10 punches. ScooterJ
then rolled him up and got the 1-2-3.
ScooterJ gets the win at 17 minutes.
All of a sudden, Master Bull came out with TNT. ScooterJ saw them, exited the ring, grabbed a
chair and then re-entered the ring.
Master Bull told TNT to attack ScooterJ but TNT pointed out that he was
armed with a chair. Bull yelled at him
to “go” but TNT looked at ScooterJ, then to Bull and then walked to the
back. Bull, surprised, turned and went
after TNT. ScooterJ eventually left the
ring.
The
Ambassador says that with the implosion of his last team (Pete the PUN-isher
and Magnum Kone), he needed to find a new team to manage and he says he’s found
himself a tag team worthy of his managerial skills. He says he’ll be introducing them soon.
We
move on to our next match. First, the
Fiend comes out to a good pop. He is
followed out by the Crocodile Hunter who gets an even bigger pop. The two shake hands and the match
begins. This one was another very close
match with both men going for pin attempts and the other kicking out or making
it to the ropes. At one point, tempers
began to flare but they eventually settled down and got back to entertaining
the fans. The Fiend noticed the time was
running out fast and Croc went for a falling overhead kick but the Fiend
neutralized it. He then cinched up Croc
and nailed the Last Caress (swinging DDT).
He went for the cover only getting a 1 count before the bell rang
signaling the end of the match. This one
ends in a draw. Both men shook hands and
Croc left first. As soon as he was out
of the ring, Dr. Red Fang ran in from the crowd and attacked the Fiend hitting
him with a Vampire Lunge. Croc ran back
to the ring but he too got hit by a Vampire Lunge. Fang leaned on the ropes snarling at the
fans and didn’t notice Croc and the Fiend both make it to their feet. Fang turns around and Croc and the Fiend
begin peppering him with lefts and rights going back and forth. Fang finally had enough and slid out of the
ring. Fang went to the back and Croc and
the Fiend both shook hands one last time and then left at the same time.
Figaroa
‘Figgy’ Newton is backstage with his team – Hoff n’ Spicy and Taylor
Bella. Figgy tells Taylor that since
Hoff and DJ have debuted as a team, they are undefeated. She, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to
listen to his advice and her record is not nearly as good. Figgy says Taylor has a match today and if
doesn’t get her head on straight, there will be changes in their immediate
future.
We go
back to the ring for our next match.
Jesse California comes out first to a decent pop. Next, his opponent Otto Ruthless comes
out. Ruthless doesn’t have the best
record when it comes to win/loss so he’s hoping for a win here. Otto started off strong but Jesse had the
endurance to keep the match going even after Otto ran out of steam. Otto had eye raked Jesse in hopes of catching
a breather but Jesse recovered faster and locked Otto in with a bodyscissors
sleeperhold. Otto, out of gas, tapped
out. Jesse California gets the win. (19 min)
Magnum
Kone shows up backstage and the fans pop.
He’s being interviewed by Clarkus Kentus. Magnum begins “Covfefe or whatever your name
is…I don’t know why you have a beef with me but the fans know I don’t back down
from any challenge and anytime you want to get in the ring with me, guess
what…I’ll be ready.”
“Figgy”
Newton comes out with Taylor Bella and he is still trying to give her
advice. He attempts to explain the
situation but Taylor seems stubborn.
Next, Scarlett Phoenix makes her way out and the fans pop. We can see that it clearly irritates
Taylor. Taylor heeded Figgy’s advice
right off the bat and went ape-shit on Scarlett. We cannot remember the last time Taylor was
this aggressive. Figgy applauded but
eventually Scarlett started her own comeback and Taylor began to falter. As the match reached the end, Taylor was
completely on the defensive and struggled to kick out of pin attempts. Finally, the bell rang bringing this one to a
draw. Taylor and Figgy left and he
seems to feel she’s finally gotten the message.

Max
arrives back at his office and has his ref gear. He enters the office to change. Buzz and Starbuck Steel roll up on a forklift
carrying a bunch of pallets. They drop
them off and park the forklift right in front of the office door. Max looks out through a window and shakes his
head. “Don’t these morons realize the
door opens from the inside?” He goes to
open the door and notices the way is completely blocked. He curses as he realizes he’s been outsmarted. Looks like he won’t be able to ref tonight’s
main event.
It’s
time for the main event. This match will
be for the World Tag Team titles. First,
two members of the Muscles Trio – Muscles McGuire and Muscles Weasley. They come out dressed with their rainbow
colored bullhorns and they run around acting all goofy. Next, the champs the Steel Curtain make their
way down. Buzz and Starbuck are now
totally being booed. They don’t
care. The champs beat down on the
Muscles for 5 minutes before the action spilled out of the ring. Starbuck and Weasley (the two legal men) were
brawling on the outside. Neither of the two were able to respond to the 10
count so both teams ended up getting counted out. The champs retain the belts on the countout
win.
All of
a sudden, the Desperados (El Chango and Leon Teremoto) came out and they said
that with them next in line, what just transpired would not happen. They are interrupted by Figgy Newton and Hoff
n Spicy. Davis Hoffmeister took the mic
and questioned El Chango on their win/loss record as compared to his and DJ CJ’s. Hoff says they are undefeated in tag team
action and should get the next title shot.
El Chango gets into Hoff’s face and offers to have the two teams settle
it next show. Hoff n’ Spicy vs the
Desperados with the winning team facing the Tag Team “schmucks” at the
PPV. All four men shook hands and that
is how the show ended.
Thanks
for reading. More action to continue.
