HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2016 #529 – Final house show before the PPV

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  This is the final show before our PPV this weekend.  As a reminder, the PPV will actually take place on Friday and Saturday and Sunday will be the final show of the year.  The owners and GM Max McGillicutty have been gracious in giving the roster time off during this family oriented holiday and they (including Masked Gentleman) deserve the time off.

The show kicks off and as the pyro goes off, our first match is immediately underway.  Pulling opening duty is Ivan Dragovich vs The Crocodile Hunter.  Ivan comes out to a good pop.  Croc comes out second and he too is well received by the fans.  Ivan was definitely the more aggressive right from the get go but things went sour when Karl Braun from the 5th Column came out on stage and began taunting Ivan.  Ivan took off out of the ring to confront Braun (who left) and Ivan got counted out.  Crocodile Hunter wins this one in 6 min via CO decision.  Ivan keeps heading to the back to find Braun.

We cut to the back in Max’s office and standing there with him is none other than the Stache.  The fans pop when they see him there.  The Stache asks Max to let him be in the PPV.  Max says he has a spot but questions if he should put him in a match.  The Stache requests a match against the Wraith.   “You know a match between he and I would be golden but if you’re concerned about putting asses in seats, I can bring a special guest and then not only will the PPV be a sellout, it will break all PPV records and be the highest rated show ever.  He is no stranger to these fans.  He will put even MORE asses in seats…the show will sell out but he will get you the extra views on PPV.”  He writes the name down on a piece of paper and hands it to Max.  His eyes go WIDE and he immediately agrees.  Max says “I’ll let the Wraith know that he has a match at the PPV.”

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, the Fiend comes out and he’s looking like he’s in a better mood now that he’s back on a winning streak.  His opponent tonight is Jesse California.  The Fiend looked sharp and owned the match against Jesse but the longer it went on, the Fiend began running out of steam.  The Fiend went for the Devil’s Reign but Jesse reversed it and nailed a superkick out of nowhere.  Jesse immediately hooked the leg (and maybe a bit of the tights) and got the surprising win over the Fiend.  Jesse gets his arm raised and he leaves.  The Fiend looks disappointed and slowly makes his way to the back.  (15 min)

Max tells the Wraith that the Stache is back and wants a match at the PPV.  At first, the Wraith scoffs until Max shows him the piece of paper of who will be in Stache’s corner.  The Wraith’s eyes go all wide and he says he’s in but first he needs to make a phone call.  Wraith calls ??? and asks him to be in his corner.  At first there is hesitation until the Wraith (turning from the camera) tells him who the Stache will have as his partner and we DISTINCTLY hear the reply over the phone but we won’t print that here as to keep up the suspense.  If you really want to know, order the PPV now (the event is SOLD OUT).

Our third match begins with Outback Oscar coming our first and then followed by Pete the PUN-isher.  Pete tries to lay out some puns but the mic gets shut off before he can start.  Compounding that, Magnum Kone and his helpers Haagen & Daas make their way out and distribute ice cream to the fans at ringside.  This of course infuriates Pete.  For about 7 minutes, Pete was aggressive and barely gave Oscar time to catch his breath.  He then stopped and jaw jacked with Magnum but as soon as he turned around, Oscar leveled him and when on an offensive tear.  Now it was Pete’s turn to have his ass handed to him.  Pete almost had an opportunity after connecting with the Combing the Desert (Spaceballs reference) but seeing Magnum hand out his FAVORITE flavor ice cream (PB&J), he got irate and yelled at Magnum.  Oscar turned him around and hit a spinning elbow drop.  Oscar hooked the leg and got the 3 count.  Outback Oscar gets the win.  Magnum, feeling he accomplished what he wanted, left with his team.  (19 min)

HCW forensic analysist Gardinia Blue approached Max and told him she found out what was going on and took him to the Masked Gentleman’s locker room.  After knocking (rather hard) on the door, MG came out and asked what they wanted.  Max and Gardinia Blue began questioning MG why he was putting all these charges on Max’s cc.  Turns out MG is “using” Max’s cc to cover incidentals that were supposedly spelled out in his contract but Max had yet to provide.  Max tells him the gravy train has ended.  MG says you can’t talk to the Hardcore champ that way.  Max says he’ll do one better…if MG loses at the PPV, not only will he lose the title but will have to pay back all the charges he made.  MG counters and says that if he retains, he wants his setup re-established.  Max agrees but he has to pin or make TW submit; the deal is off if MG skates out on a DQ or countout.   Max then produces the new M&M’s MG asked for but they are mislabeled.  They say "#BlackNBlueSucks" on some and the others say "Says TW".  MG sees this and gets all huffy and storms back into his dressing room…without his candy.

It’s time to head back to the ring for more action.  First, Ant Graham comes out and introduces 5th Column member Oswald Zimmerman.  Next, music hits and out comes the Hashtag King CJ.  He gets a huge pop.  CJ glares at Graham and tells him to stay out of his business.  At the insistence from his manager, Oswald attacks CJ to kick off the match.  CJ let Oswald get is 30 seconds of fame and then the Hashtag tore right into Oswald.  Graham tried to interfere but ended up getting a fist to the face from his royalness.  CJ toyed around and finally finished off Oswald with a bulldog.  Just as he got up to celebrate, the rest of the 5th Column (Baron von Blood, Karl Braun & Wendell Hammerschmidt) hit the ring and began to beat CJ down.  CJ battled back like the champ he is and got some assistance when the Muscles Trio (Thorpe, Weasley & McGuire) hit the ring at went after the 5th Column.  This allowed CJ to go one on one with the Baron and showed him the exit after hitting the Baron with a flying dropkick.  The Muscles also disposed of their PPV opponents and CJ looked at the Trio and shook their hands before leaving.  The Muscles trio ran around acting all goofy and eventually left.  (8 min for the match; 12 min total)

The main event tonight will have World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine teaming with the Axe and Magnum Kone to take on S.H.I.T champion the Savior, Dr. Red Fang and (after demanding it from Max) Pete the Pun-isher.

Next on the card, it is announced that this next match will be a specialty rules match.  First, former Ladies champion The Duchess comes out to a decent pop.  He opponent tonight is her former manager Southern Belle.  It is determined that this will be an ECW rules match.  Belle started off by hitting the Duchess with the Moonshine and then tossing her out of the ring.  The Duchess caught Belle with a sucker punch.  Belle rammed the Duchess’ head into the ringside barrier before smashing her with a DVD player.  Duchess blasted Belle with a cookie sheet but Belle kicked out before the 1 count.  Belle then sprinkled thumbtacks on the mat and tried to suplex Duchess onto them but she nullified the move.  Duchess bodyslammed Belle on the thumbtacks and she writhed in pain.  Belle eye raked Duchess to gain her composure.  She grabbed a chair and brought it into the ring.  Belle then hit Duchess with the Southern Swing right on the chair!  The fans chanted “This is awesome”.  Belle goes for the pin but gets a 2 count.  Duchess then smacks her in the head with the cookie sheet and tries for a pin with her feet on the ropes but the ref makes her break the hold.  Belle then hits a victory roll and (without the ref seeing), she grabs the ropes for leverage and the ref counts 1…2…3!.  Southern Belle has stolen a win here tonight.  She leaves and walks to the back with her arms raised.  Duchess tries to complain but the ref leaves her to stew in the ring.  (11 min)

Gardinia Blue points out to Max that based on Article 18C, sub article K- Paragraph 3, Max can deny demands of one person and can give the “perks” to someone else.  Max deems Texas Wildfire worthy so he gives TW a bag of the “altered” M&M’s and TW says he will share them with the locker room.  TW says that MG assaulted his family.  They are fine but instead of pressing charges like any normal person would do, he says he will get even…how far is he willing to go to save the honor of his family?

Also backstage are the World Tag Team Champs – the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel).  Buzz addresses Phat Sol & Red Hot Lucas Johnston telling them playtime is over and now it’s time to get down to business.  Starbuck says P&L are not worthy of this match and with it being Christmas time and all, they’ll give them a present…an ass whooping they’ve never experienced before and P&L will leave empty handed.  Buzz leans in and looks like he’s going to end it with “Word” but instead he nods and says “What he said”.

It is time for our Main Event:  Drew the CLM, The Axe and Magnum Kone vs the Savior, Dr Red Fang & Pete the PUN-isher.  Pete comes out first followed by Fang and his manager Ant Graham and finally the S.H.I.T. champion the Savior.  Next, Axe comes out first followed by Magnum and finally the World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  The 6 men wasted no time in beating the snot out of each other.  The faces had complete control over the match and Pete was left to fend on his own quite a bit as the Savior sat on the outside of the ring and was reluctant to get involved.  Fang brawled with the Axe on the outside of the ring.  After a grueling 40 minute battle which saw the Savior be involved for a whopping 3 minutes, Fang got caught by the La Casita and Drew made the cover for the 1-2-3.  The “good guys” secure a win right before the PPV.   All of a sudden, the Masked Gentleman made his way out looks disgusted and is holding something behind his back.  He is wearing a wireless mic (I wonder if he charged THAT to Max’s credit card) "TW, I didn’t go after your family, they were trying to climb into the ringside area to get MG's Autograph!, AND as far as your Dad is concerned......Let's just say I was giving him a...(raises his father’s prosthetic arm)...hand up.!" MG Laughs.   Texas Wildfire came out…like a wildfire and went right after MG.  TW had a lot of anger pent up and began taking it out on MG until the Masked Gentleman decided he’d had enough and after tossing TW into the steps, he took off through the crowd (claiming he wanted to be with “his” fans and that he wasn’t running away).  The show came to an end with TW starring daggers at MG.

The PPV card has been finalized and this is what it will look like:
