HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #704 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder Show.  After the pyro goes off to kick off the show, Emmett Millbarge and Cushmann Armitage come out and the fans boo them.  Cushman warns the crowd.  They booing intensifies.  It gets even louder.  “Fine.  You brought it on yourself.  Emmett…”  Emmett takes the mic.  “You fans here are a bunch of ingrates and can’t seem to appreciate anything.  Well, just remember that you brought this on yourself.  You’ve given us no choice but to move the PPV location from Tacoma to Seattle as you people are not deserving of a show of this magnitude.”  Now THAT got the fans even more riled up than before.  “We will take the show not only where it will bring more appreciative fans (yeah right) but make more money for US.  Ha Ha.”  The fans got so upset that they began throwing things at Emmett and Cushman on the stage.  Cushman warned them that if they do not cease this abhorrent behavior, he will have no choice but to cancel the show.  The threat had little effect.  “Ok, fine.  You unworthy fans…”  He doesn’t finish his threat as music hit and out comes GM Max McGillicutty.   The fans popped so loud that it was deafening.  Max walks over and forcibly takes the mic from Cushman.  “You will do no such thing.  In fact, why are you even here?  Your hostile takeover attempt was thwarted and now all your hopes and dreams are relying on one match.  I’m here now and the two of you can just leave.”  The fans pop turned to once of concern and warning as Master Bull came from the back wielding a chair and he blasted Max in the back with it.  The Tacoma GM hits the floor.  Master Bull, Emmett and Cushman all have one last hurrah before hurrying off stage.  Medics came out and after a cursory glance, they called for a stretcher.  Max was loaded up on it and taken to the back as the concerned fans looked on.

We head backstage where ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher is with the Hardcore Champion Hardcore Hensen and “future Ladies Champion” Vanilla Zombie.  Tonight, Hensen defends the hardcore title against Ghee Buttersnaps.  Hensen laughs at the name and says that he’ll plow through Ghee like a hot knife through butter.  Preacher then says that Vanilla has a shot at Ravishing Raquel’s title and like the “Thanos Snap”, Raquel’s title run comes to an end and the FUTURE of the Ladies division takes the reigns.

Our first match of the night kicks off with an explosion of sorts as Bob ‘Powder’ Keg makes his way out to the ring.  The crowd gives him an ok reception but when his opponent Protocide comes out, the fans pop huge for him.  Protocide makes his way down to the ring and does some posing (ala Hulk Hogan) before the match finally begins.  Bob started off strong really taking the match to Protocide but it wasn’t until the super soldier decided he’d had enough that the tide turned and the strong man began to battle back hard.  Protocide used his strength to wear down Bob until Protocide locked in the Super Soldier Test of Strength and brought Bob to his knees.  With his hands otherwise preoccupied, Bob had no choice but to yell out “I submit”.  Protocide releases him and the crowd pops for the super soldier as he poses and shows off for the fans.

Regulation (making their way up from Phoenix) approach Cushman and Emmett and ask for a match at the PPV.  Emmett asks what they had in mind and after not being able to make up their minds, Emmett throws out that they will take on Texas Wildfire, Sonic Blade and ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger.  Ruth Heartless tried to interject that they wanted someone else but before she could, Emmett told them to go back to Phoenix and showed them to the door and closed it behind them.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First Felicia Cummings comes out to booing from the crowd.  Her twin sister Betsy doesn’t appear to be around but never count them out for the old switcheroo.  Next, Ruby Rose comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.  Ruby makes it into the ring and immediately warns Felicia to stay away from the shenanigans.   Felicia has this look that says “Who me?” and the match begins.  The match started with Felicia taking control and wouldn’t you know it, her twin Betsy was there all along hiding under the ring. 15 minutes into the match, Felicia rolled out of the ring and did the switch with her twin but complain as she might, the ref never saw it so he did nothing about it.  Ruby did however and started to beat the tar out of Betsy.  21 minutes in and Ruby drops Betsy with an inverted DDT.  Betsy rolled out of the ring and Felicia came back in.  Ruby had had enough and then dropped Felicia with the inverted DDT also and hooked the leg (and maybe a foot on the ropes for payback)  and she got the 1-2-3.  Ruby Rose gets the win and pulls one over on the twins.  The crowd pops huge for her as she makes her way to the back.  (22 min)

Backstage, TV Champion Nix Anderson agrees to a rematch at the PPV however if the Unknown Assassin wants it bad enough, he should put his career on the line.  UA attacks him and says he’ll keep attacking until Nix accepts.  And by the way, he’s not stupid enough to put his career on the line.  The Unknown Assassin walks away.  Some people try to help Nix up but he pushes them away.  He’s steaming.

Our next match is a go.   First, the Smashers led by their manager MJ make their way out to booing from the fans.  They flip the fans off and that seems to feed into the frenzy.  Next, Adam Jameson and Billy Robbins make their way out to a nice pop from the crowd.  The two high five the fans as they make their way down to the ring.  The Smashers attack them on the outside of the ring and then throw them in to get this match moving.  The Smashers were definitely the dominant team but they could not keep anyone’s shoulders to the mat for more than a 2 count.  AJ and Billy showed a tremendous amount of intestinal fortitude in just being able to go the distance with these monsters.  In the end, the bell rang bringing this action packed match to it’s conclusion.  The match ends in a draw and the Smashers tried to continue beating on their opponents but the ref threatened them with fines and suspensions if they did not cease.  MJ got them to cool off and they left immediately.  AJ and Billy shook it off and celebrated with the fans briefly before leaving.  (30 min draw)

Backstage, the newest member of the HCW roster Haylee Hailstone is cutting a promo about how something so small could be so powerful but she is interrupted by the visiting (from Phoenix) Sarona Reiher.  Sarona mockingly welcomes her to HCW and tells her it’s not the small who prevail but the big and strong and Hayley is neither.  Hayley stands on her tippy toes and looks Sarona in, well the chin, and tells her that if she’s feeling up to it, there is a ring that she can show what she’s got.  Sarona accepts and walks off.  Hayley smiles.

Up next is our Hardcore title match. First, the challenger Ghee Buttersnaps comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.  Next, ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher comes out and the crowd boos but gets even louder when he brings out Hardcore Hensen – the champion.  The two walk down to the ring and then Preacher goes to sit at ringside.  Henson immediately goes on the warpath.  For 12 minutes though, Ghee owned the champ and there were a couple of times it looked like he was going to get the pin but Preacher would make the save.  Henson then rammed Ghee’s head into the exposed turnbuckle bracket and Ghee was busted open.  The ref began to count but Ghee made it back up to his feet.  5 minutes later, Henson would try for a hard bodyslam and a pin but Ghee got his foot on the bottom rope.   Henson then tried to throw Ghee out of the ring but it was neutralized so Henson settled for a stiff forearm shot.  Ghee stunned the champ with a belly to back suplex.   Ghee grabs a chair and went to hit Henson with it but Henson ripped it out of his hands dropping it on the mat.  He throws Ghee to the ropes and hits a powerslam right on top of the chair.  Henson makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Hardcore Henson gets the win and another successful title defense.   (22 min)  Henson picked up the chair and Ghee and was going to hit him with it again until Protocide ran out for the save.   Protocide tells Henson that if wants to pick on someone, why not try him.  Henson scoffs at him and tries to walk away.  Before Henson could take off, Protocide attacks him up the ramp but before Henson would leave, Protocide removes his mask (only Henson could see who it was) and Henson’s eyes go all wide.  He mumbles “No, it can’t be...” and rushes to the back.  Protocide slips his mask back on, poses for the crowd and then leaves.   Hmm, I wonder what that is about.

Backstage, lounging in “their” office, Emmett and Cushman are talking about the PPV when Max McGillicutty storms in.  They are surprised to see him (upright).  Max orders them out of “his” office and as they begin to leave, Emmett makes a snarky comment (NSFW) and Max shoves Cushman out of the office and slams the door shut before Emmett could leave.   Cushman thinks about if he wants to go back in there and “save” his right hand man but he shrugs his shoulders and leaves as high pitched screams emanate from behind the door.

We have our cross promotional match up next.  First, visiting from Phoenix is Sarona Reiher.  The fans give her a mixed reaction as she makes her way down to the ring.  She doesn’t seem to care if the roster cheers or boos her.  Next, the Omegatron lights up with images from hail storms and out comes Hayley Hailstone to a huge pop from the crowd.  She eventually makes her way to the ring and an impatient Sarona taps her foot waiting for the match to begin.  Sarona controls the first few minutes but then after slapping Hayley across the face, Hayley ran roughshot all over Sarona beating her from pillar to post.  17 minutes in, Sarona began to turn things around and the two of them were basically trading shots back and forth.  In the final minute of the match, Sarona bodyslammed Hayley on the mat and then went to the top rope to deliver the superfly splash.  She launched but Hayley was quick to her feet and caught Sarona mid-air with a roundhouse kick that knocked Sarona into next week.  Hayley went for the pin and got the 3 count.  Hayley gets the win and celebrates with the fans briefly before leaving.  Sarona had to be helped to the back by the ref.  (21 min)

Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister says that he’s taking a break from tagging with Magnum Kone to keep up his game.  He says that he was giving the choice on who he wanted to fight tonight and he picked Ivan Dragovich.  Davis tells Ivan that this isn’t “Rocky 4” and reminds Ivan of the ending “The bigger they are, the harder they fall.”  He walks off.

Our next match begins when Ivan Dragovich came out to booing from the crowd.  After he made it to the ring, the music changed and out comes Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister.  The fans pop HUGE for this guy.  He high fives with some of the fans but then is in the ring and he puts on is “all-business” face.  Ivan meets him in the middle of the ring and says “I’m going to break you.”  Hoff responds with, yep…”Go for it”.  Davis had the slight advantage but the rowdy Russian was right there with him.  Ivan took Davis down with a spinning heel kick but then Davis threw him out of the ring.  Ivan, frustrated, grabbed a steel chair.  He tried to get into the ring with it but the ref struggled to get it away.  Ivan won the tug of war and blasted Davis with it resulting in a disqualification.  Davis recovered fairly quickly and hurled Ivan out of the ring.  He then stayed a few moments to celebrate with the fans before heading to the back.

Backstage, Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel says that she is the foundation that the Ladies division is built upon.  She says that out of all of the opponents she’s ever taken on, her opponent tonight – Vanilla Zombie – has to be the wackiest of them all.  At the end of the day, she is a WRESTLER and not a Zombie so we know who’s going to win.  “If conventional methods don’t work, there’s always the ‘double tap’” (a reference to the movie Zombieland).

It’s time for our Main Event.  First, ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher comes out and introduces “the next Ladies Champion” Vanilla Zombie.  Vanilla still has her group of fans wearing zombie-like make up but the rest of the audience is booing her.  She looks around quizzically and then proceeds to the ring.  Next, the music changes and out comes the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel.  She comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  The match begins right away.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #703 – Phoenix Heat

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  Things are definitely heating up as we close the gap on our PPV Reign of Champions.   Typically, this PPV is supposed to be just champions defending their titles but stooge Emmett Millbarge basically turned it into ‘just another (expensive) show’.

The show began with a backstage segment of former TV Champion the Unknown Assassin and his manager J C Dykes storming into Emmett Millbarge’s office.  Dykes complains that Preacher and Nix Anderson used some illegal tactics (they’re not exactly innocent either) and because Nix cheated to win, he demanded that the Unknown Assassin be given an immediate rematch.  Emmett said that he totally agreed that UA will get a rematch but questioned if he should be first.  UA leaned over Emmett’s desk and got into his face and ‘explained’ how successfully he was at defending the TV title ever since defeating the joke that is Texas Wildfire.  He tells Emmett to make it happen or things will get nasty.  UA and Dykes stormed out of the office leaving Emmett quaking in his boots.  He then adjusted his shirt, picked up the phone and told someone “We may have ourselves a problem…”  The segment ended before we could get any other information.

Pyro goes off and our show kicks off.  J C Dykes and the Unknown Assassin make their way out to the ring first.  Dykes gets on the mic calling Nix Anderson a coward for not showing up here and says that the Assassin needs to take his frustrations out on someone and demands a match.  Muscles Thorpe comes out to a pop from the crowd.  He is wearing his rainbow colored bull horns and is carrying his box of ‘Booty-O’s’ cereal.  As soon as he gets into the ring, UA attacks him spilling cereal everywhere.  Thorpe put up a good fight but he just wasn’t a match for a pissed off Assassin.  At the 7 minute mark, UA began laying some stiff forearm shots to Thorpe and knocked him silly.  UA went for the pin and got the easy 1-2-3.  The Unknown Assassin gets the win and hurls Thorpe out of the ring.  He then yells (without a mic) that he wants his TV title back.  The segment finally ends after UA and Dykes left the ring.  (7 min)

US Champion Jacques Beannot arrives in Phoenix and comments how hot it is there (even in the indoor air conditioned building).  He makes his way to Emmett’s office.  “You said you wanted me here?”  Emmett stands up.  “Sure did.  You see, you’ve been the US Champion now for almost a month and have yet to defend the title.”  Jacques replies “Yeah, I have to defend the title against Drew in a week.  So?”  Emmett shakes his head.  “You’re new so you must have not gotten the memo.  All Champions are required to defend their titles 2x a month.  Since you haven’t done it yet, you get to tonight.”  Jacques is shocked.  “Hang on.  I’m set to defend it in less than 2 weeks and you want me to defend it NOW?”  Emmett smiles.  “Now you get it.  You’re in the main event so you have some time but I suggest you go get ready.”  Emmett shows Jacques to the door and then slams it behind him.

Our next match is ready to go. First, 2 members of the Snake Pit – Leiton and Tobias Snake come out to a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, the Ambassador comes out and introduces Elitism (The Elitist Reid Rothchild and Rowdy Roderick Rothchild).  This match is basically family vs. family.  We know that there is bad blood running through the Snake Pit with Niven Snake having turned on his brothers.  We are sure that will come to a head sooner rather than later.  The match began and was about as expected with both teams taking turns controlling the tempo of the match.  18 minutes into the match and the ref took a bump and was out of commission.  Niven Snake then came out and jawjacked with Leiton.  Tobias had to get between them before the fisticuffs began.  Niven got out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair.   Reid went to whip Leiton into the ropes but Leiton saw what was coming and reversed it sending Reid to the ropes just as Niven was blindly swinging the chair.  Niven was pissed that he hit the wrong guy and threw down the chair and stormed off.  Reid had fallen out of the ring.  The ref was now recovering and began to count Reid out.  Roderick went over to help Reid up and helped him back into the ring.  Reid had made it to his hands and knees before Leiton hit him with the curb stomp.  He immediately made the cover and got the 3 count.  The Snake Pit gets the win but the fans were pretty “meh” about it.  The Ambassador complained to the ref about Niven’s outside interference but the ref said he was out of it and didn’t see anything.  The Ambassador and Roderick helped Reid to the back.  (21 min)

Backstage, Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel is with Taylor Bella.  Raquel says that she was put into a match tonight and was told to pick a partner to take on Madame Jade and Lavender Gooms.  Raquel says she picked Taylor as she is probably the only other trustworthy person on the roster.  Taylor says that Raquel is the top Lady in their division and has accomplished more than any other person and it’s her honor to team with her and she will have her back.  However, she says that once this is all done, Taylor wants to have a serious conversation about getting a shot at that title.  Raquel tells her that once they defeat their opponents, she will be open to having that discussion.

The team of ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger, Sonic Blade and Texas Wildfire make their way down to the ring to a huge pop from the crowd.  Wildfire says that they are one win away from getting a title shot for the 6 Man tag team titles.  Sonic says that they are ready and ready to represent the fans as their champions.  Winger begins with talking about what brought them together when they are interrupted by an annoying sound coming from the speakers…”VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE” and out comes Ant Graham and his Ghouls (Dr. Red Fang, Wolfman Keg and Mason the Mangler).  Graham tells them “not so fast” and says that the Ghouls are being overlooked by the committee to screw over his wrestlers and demands that the Ghouls get a shot right here to prove they should be the ones getting the title shot next.  Winger looks to his teammates and then accepts on their behalf.  Looks like we have a spur of the moment match up.

This one went the distance with the Ghouls getting a leg up because of their manager’s constant interference.  Winger finally got tired of him sticking his nose in and hit him with the Steamroller taking him out.  Even with Graham down and out, the Ghouls continued to hold their own.  Just as the match was nearing the time limit, Wolfman Keg locked Sonic Blade in the torture rack and just before he could tap out, Texas Wildfire came in for the save.  They then hit Keg with a double dropkick that sent him out of the ring.  The bell then rang bringing his one to a draw finish.  Wildfire, Winger and Blade stood in the ring while the Ghouls gathered up Graham and took him to the back.  The good guys celebrated with the fans briefly before heading to the back themselves.  (30 min draw)

Madame Jade and Lavender Gooms are asked if they heard what their opponents said about them.  Jade said that both Taylor and Raquel are full of hot air and they will deflate them.  Lavender says that Jade is the top ladies wrestler in HCW and not Raquel as she is honest and trustworthy as opposed to the cheaters who will occupy the other side of the ring from them.  The better team will prevail.

Our next match begins with Talon McFrost coming out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, the Banker and his manager Ruth Heartless come out and are booed.  The Banker, one third of the 6 man champions, holds his title high as he makes his way to the ring.  Just as the bell rang, Talon left the ring to confront Ruth.  He surprised her by taking out a pair of handcuffs and cuffed her to the ringside railing making her a non-factor in this match.  That move totally took the Banker off his game and it was Talon who was in control of this match.  Things started to go the Banker’s way when he hit Talon with a Deposit Diving DDT but Talon shook it off and locked in the Yukon Cloverleaf.  The Banker almost made it to the ropes but Talon pulled him back to the center of the ring.  Trapped with no hope of escaping, he tapped out.  Talon McFrost gets the win via submission.  The Regulators then hit the ring and Talon bailed but it was too late.  Regulator Mule got Ruth freed from the handcuffs and then they all went to the back together.  (19 min)

One half of the World Tag Team Champions El Chango says that tonight he gets a shot at singles glory when he gets to take on US Champion Jacques Beannot.  He promises the fans he’ll do whatever it takes to be the first person this year in HCW to hold two titles.

Our ladies tag team match is up next. First, Madame Jade and Lavender Gooms come out to a nice pop from the crowd (the fans care more about Jade than Lavender).  They make their way down to the ring and enter it starting to psyche up the crowd.  Next, Taylor Bella and the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel come out to boos from the crowd.  These two have some serious heat going against them but they don’t seem to care.  Taylor and Raquel attack Jade and Lavender before being forced out of the ring.  Raquel and Taylor stormed around the ring ignoring the prompts from Jade and the ref to re-enter the ring.  Finally they did and this one began.  The match was a close one with Raquel and Taylor keeping the other fresh in the ring with constant tagging in and out.  Almost all pin and submission attempts were done on Lavender who was looked at as the weaker link.  At the 15 minute mark, Raquel hits a beautifully executed moonsault catching Lavender totally unaware.  She would have gotten the 3 count but Jade was able to get in there and break the pin attempt.  After some more double teaming, Lavender began to battle back and caught Raquel with an Electric Chair Drop but before she could capitalize on it, Taylor blind tagged herself in and nailed Lavender with the sitout facebuster.  She hooked the leg and got the 3 count.  Taylor Bella and Ravishing Raquel get the win however Raquel wasn’t happy that Taylor took the cheap way to get the pin.  The two had words but they ended up leaving at the same time.  (18 min)

US Champion Jacques Beannot is backstage and he says that it’s not really fair that he has to defend his title so close to the PPV but he says there is a reason the belt is around his waist and tonight he will walk out with his arm raised.

It’s time for our main event.  First, the challenger – one half of the Desperados who just so happen to be the World Tag Team Champions -  El Chango – makes his way out to the ring first.  The fans pop for him.  Once in the ring and he does his thing, the music changes and out comes the US Champion Jacques Beannot.  The pop for him is equal to that if not better but Jacques looks around disappointed like he thinks it needs to be louder.  He high fives a few of the fans on his way to the ring.  He gets in, shows off his title and then meets El Chango in the center of the ring.  The two shake hands but before the the bell could ring, ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher comes out and walks over to have a discussion with the referee.  We can’t be sure but it seems that Matt may have slipped something to the ref.  The bell rings and this one is off.

Referee is 'Slow-Count' Sam (-1)

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #702 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  We have a hell of a show lined up today.  On the card, Drew the Canadian Love Machine takes on his tag team partner and US Champion Jacques Beannot.  If Drew gets the win, he gets a shot at the title at the PPV.  Also, the Mexicali Flyers are in action.  Nix Anderson gets his shot at gold when he challenges the Unknown Assassin for the TV title.  Can Nix derail the Assassin’s momentum and bring his winning streak to an end?  I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Today’s show begins backstage with Phoenix GM Master Bull walking into Emmett Millbarge’s office.  Billionaire Cushman Armitage is there with him.  “Finally” Cushman exclaims “we can get started.  Bull-a-roni…you’ll be in ‘Big Money’s’ corner.  Let’s see…who do we have lined up?  Him, no.  Find someone else.  Let’s see….nah, it would be a squash.  Here we go…ha ha.  Red Hot.  Who in the hell gave him that nickname?  Yeah, that should be good.  Now, go and get our boy Ned ready.”  Bull gets up and leaves and the door slams behind him.  Bull shakes his head “What did I do?”  He picks up his phone and makes a call and walks off.

Pyro goes off and out show kicks off.  First, Superquake Ferguson comes out and this guy is just enormous.  At 7 plus foot in height, he is a true sight to behold.  He is booed but the crowd changes their tune when the music changes and out comes the Axe.  Axe, not a slouch in his own right, comes out and the fans pop for him.  He gets into the ring and although he’s not standing eye to eye with the giant, he’s not that far off.  The bell rings and the two begin slugging it out.  They take the action out of the ring where Axe introduced Superquake to the steel steps.  They would make it back in only to fight on the outside again but this time it was Superquake ramming Axe into the steel post.  Ferguson rolled Axe back in.  At the 9 minute match, Axe began to “hulk up” and then went all bat-shit crazy on Ferguson totally dominating the giant.  Axe got frustrated each time Ferguson powered out of a pin and that just made him turn up the heat.  Axe stunned the giant with a forearm smash and then rushed the ropes only to heat a big foot to the face by Superquake.  Ferguson used his foot to push Axe to the ropes.  He then went to stand on Axe’s throat but Axe caught the foot and ended up pushing him off.  Ferguson rushed at him and Axe grabbed him mid-air and hit a huge backbreaker.  Axe made the cover and got the 3 count.  The fans pop huge as the ref raises Axe’s arm and he leaves.  Ferguson eventually makes his way to the back.  (19 min)

Master Bull is backstage with ‘Big Money’ Ned Rhyerson III.  Rhyerson says that he’s going to continue to run all over the roster destroying everyone in his path until the coward Gumbo finally faces him in the ring.  Bull tells him that he watched Gumbo as he rose to where he is now.  Ned tells Bull the past is the past and it doesn’t matter how you get to the top; it’s can you stay there without falling to someone (him) better.  Rhyerson tells Bull “Let’s get this joke of a match over with.”

We head back to the ring and the twins Betsy and Felicia Cummings make their way out as the fans boo.  Next, smoke fills the stage and then like a shot, Violet Valkyrie shoots through the smoke ziplining her way out to the ring.  The fans pop for her.  Violet sends a warning glance to Felicia sitting at commentary basically telling her to stay out of her match.  The bell rings and Violet opens a can of whoop-ass on Betsy for a whopping 7 minutes.  Just then, Vanilla Zombie comes out and distracts Violet.  Betsy trades places with Felicia who rushes in and hits Violet with the sitout facebuster.  She makes the cover hooking the leg and gets the 3 count.  The illegal twin rolls out of the ring and Betsy makes it back in to get her arm raised as the victor.  Vanilla Zombie hits the ring attacking Violet and drops her with the Soul Crusher.  Vanilla stands over Violet as the fans boo her.  She eventually leaves and Violet is helped to the back.  (8 min)

Drew the Canadian Love Machine is backstage and says that he’s giving Jacques his space since he knows that things will get dicey once the bell rings.  He says he’s going to keep it on the up and up and says that he hopes Jacques will do the same.

Our next match is ready to go.  Music hits and out comes ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston.  The fans pop huge for him as he makes his way out to the ring.  His music is cut short when ‘Big Money’ Ned Rhyerson III comes out accompanied by the turncoat Master Bull.  You can tell by looking at him that Bull doesn’t want to be here.  Bull is getting just as much heat as Rhyerson is.  The fans feel Bull turned his back on them even though he’s the GM of Phoenix Heat, they view HCW as a family that Bull just took a dump on.  The match begins with Master Bull providing intestinal fortitude to Ned and it paid off in spades.  Ned took the match to Lucas and owned him.  7 minutes in, Bull thought Ned could use some help so he slipped him a foreign object that Ned used on Lucas.  After clocking him with it and disposing of it before the ref could see it, enough time passed for Lucas to be able to kick out of the pin at 2.  A few minutes later and Bull used his knowledge to point out Lucas’ weaknesses and Ned capitalized on it.  By the time the 13th minute came around, Lucas was practically out on his feet.  Ned then hit the ropes catching Lucas with a flying body press. Ned made the cover and got the 3 count.  ‘Big Money’ gets the win and his streak continues.  Ned then called for the mic and called out Rad saying that the champ was going to choke on his gumbo and that would be the end of the so-called ‘king’.  Just then, we hear a commotion from the crowd and it’s the World Champion King Rad Gumbo.  The fans despise Rhyerson so much that they’re willing to give Gumbo a pass.  Gumbo hits the ring but Rhyerson and Bull bail.  Rhyerson smiles and points to his head signaling he outsmarted the champ.  Gumbo looks around and then goes after Rhyerson.  Rhyerson panics and he and Bull take off with a hot World Champion in pursuit.  (13 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

The US Champion Jacques Beannot is backstage and he says that he gets to take on his tag team partner Drew in a match tonight to see if a title shot is warranted at the PPV.  He is interrupted by ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher who warns Jacques that things will not go as he had planned and he really needs to reconsider hiring himself at Jacques’ manager.  Jacques tells Preacher to get out of his face or he’ll be tasting pavement.  Preacher walks off but says “You’ll see…I’m right.”  He turns around and lobs something to Jacques.  Jacques catches it and it’s…a bottle of 5 hour energy”.  Jacques pops the cap and downs the contents.

Our next match is ready to go.  First, the Mexicali Flyers (El Dragon Insano and Tornado en Fuego) make their way out to a huge pop from the crowd.   Once they were done getting the crowd pumped, music hit and out comes Ghee Buttersnaps and Ovaltine Jackson.  Ghee and Ovaltine’s pop wasn’t as intense as the Flyers’ but impressive nonetheless.  The match began and for 9 minutes, the Flyers controlled the pace of the match but then Ghee and Ovaltine double teamed El Dragon for 2 minutes.  Tornado en Fuego hits the ring and he and El Dragon double team Ovaltine for two minutes.  Ovaltine tosses El Dragon out of the ring and he tried to return with a chair but Ovaltine nullified it before tagging Ghee in.  17 minutes in, El Dragon hits Ghee with a neckbreaker and tries for a pin but Ghee kicks out.  Tornado is tagged in and hits a slingshot suplex.  He makes the cover and after El Dragon rushed the ring taking out Ovaltine, the count is made 1…2…3.  Tornado en Fuego gets pin and the Mexicali Flyers are victorious.  After a bit of a faceoff, the two teams end up shaking hands and then left within moments of each other.  (18 min)

We head backstage again and this time, Nix Anderson is with his manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  Preacher promises that his stable will be growing “before you know it but first, it’s all about the gold, Tell ‘em big man.”  Nix turns to the camera. “Unknown Assassin…more like Dumb Ass-ass-in.  You’ve been running rough shot over the roster but for whatever reason, your manager was afraid of putting you in the ring with me. Guess what…Its happening.  Tonight Preacher, more gold comes to the Preacher’s Posse and with Hensen holding the Hardcore title and me holding the TV title, well, it’s gonna be a fun ride.  Sit down, shut up and watch the master in action.”  Preacher and Anderson walk off.

Our next match is ready to go.  First, Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes out and the fans pop huge for him.  He makes his way down to the ring and shakes hands with all the fans.  He makes his way around the ring and finally gets into the ring climbing each of the corner turnbuckles getting the crowd psyched up.  After he was done on the fourth turnbuckle, the music changed and out comes the US Champion Jacques Beannot.  The fans pop for him but it wasn’t as loud as it was for Drew.  Jacques looked around and made his way to ringside high fiving the fans.  He slid under the ring and then copied Drew by climbing each of the turnbuckles and holding his title high.  The fans appreciate him.  The two partners shake hands and this one is off to the races.  For the first three minutes it seemed that Jacques had the fans attention but as the match wore on, the fans started to cheer Drew more and more.  At the 9 minute mark, Drew hit the corkscrew pescado and went for a pin but Jacques managed to kick out at the very last moment.  A couple of minutes later, Jacques locked in the spreadsheet but Drew made it to the ropes.  Jacques locked in the Spreadsheet a second time and again Drew made it to the ropes.  Jacques started to get a bit frustrated and he turned around and Drew hit an arm drag take down and turned it into a pin.  He hooked the leg and got the surprising 1-2-3.  Drew gets the win and with that, he is getting the shot at Jacques for the US title at the PPV.  Drew went over to shake Jacques’ hand and at first, he refused to shake but eventually he calmed down and shook Drew’s hand.  The two partners left at the same time.  (13 min)

We go back to the interview area with the TV champion the Unknown Assassin and his manager the ‘Honorable’ J C Dykes.  Dykes takes the mic and blasts Nix for thinking he was even in the same league as the Assassin.  Dykes says that the Assassin hasn’t been in HCW that long but has made an impact greater than those who have been around since the old days.  Dykes calls Nix a flash in the pan.  The Unknown Assassin looks at the camera and says “I will break you”.

We are getting ready to head back to the ring and a frustrated US Champion is walking back to his dressing room and ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher walks by and says “I told you so.  Here, you need this more than I do” and tosses Jacques a 5 hour energy.  Jacques downs it and walks off shaking his head.

It’s time for our main event.  First, ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher comes out first and introduces “the next TV champion” Nix Anderson.  Anderson comes out to booing from the crowd.   He doesn’t seem to care and makes his way to the ring with Preacher in tow.  Next, J C Dykes comes out and introduces the TV Champion the Unknown Assassin.  He is booed even worse than Anderson was.  UA gets into the ring and walks around the ring holding his title high.  Anderson remained in the corner.  After he got done showboating, he walked over to where Nix was standing and held the title in his face and said that he was going to sweep Nix away like yesterday’s garbage.  Anderson just stood there and smiled.  Finally the ref called for the bell and this one is underway.
