HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #761 – Tacoma Thunder (04/07)

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  To kick the show off, GM Max McGillicutty comes out thanking the fans for being in attendance.  Max reiterates what Master Bull said last week about the PPV being totally sold out but said fans could tune in on PPV.  Max throws out congratulations to all the members of the 2019 Hall of Fame class and says he looks forward to the fan fest where they can interact with the fans.  Max ends with saying he doesn’t want to tie up the action so it’s time to get this one started.

Pyro goes off and our first match is ready to begin.  First, Mean Jack Mason comes out and he storms down to the ring.  The fans boo him and he makes a point of stealing some signs from the fans and then takes great delight in tearing them up in the ring for all to see.   Next, the music changes and out comes Superquake Ferguson.  Superquake stands 7’+ and towers over everyone.  Ferguson is cheered as he gets into the ring stepping over the top rope with ease.  Mason goes right after him.  After a few minutes, Mason begins to take over control of the match and it didn’t hurt that Angry Jack Lawson, his tag team partner, was front and center at ringside.  After a brief tussle on the floor, Mean Jack rolled back in and distracted the ref while Angry Jack blasted him with multiple chair shots.  Mean Jack left the ring and then tried his best to shove Ferguson back into the ring (it took a bit).  Mean Jack went for the pin but Ferguson powered out.  The first holy shit moment came when Mean Jack hit an overhead belly to belly suplex taking the giant off his feet.  Superquake battled back hitting a huge headbutt and locking in a bearhug.  Mason got out of it and then hit a thunderous, ring shaking spinebuster slam.  Mean Jack went for the cover hooking the leg and ensuring his foot was on the bottom rope for leverage and he got the 3 count.  Mean Jack gets the win.  He stands over Ferguson and Angry Jack joins him but an appearance on stage by the World Tag Team champions Scooter J and TNT prevents them from further attacks so they leave without incident. (15 min)

Backstage, Hardcore Champion Apollo Gyze shows up in GM Max McGillicutty’s office.  Apollo says that he wants on tonight’s card but doesn’t want to defend his title.  Max grants him his wish and says that the Hardcore title will not be on the line tonight but he will be taking on one half of the World Tag Team champs in TNT.  Apollo scoffs and then walks out.

Our next match is ready to begin.  First, Betsy Cummings, one half of HCW’s only set of twins, makes her way out to a surprisingly small pop.  The fans turned sour when her opponent Sassy Maxine DeVito came out.  Maxine gave the typical ‘salute’ to the fans and made her way into the ring.  Maxine and Betsy went at it tooth and nail and even though Betsy held the advantage (however slight) over Maxine, she just could not get the pin.  As the match was nearing the time limit, Betsy locked in an armbar but Maxine turned it into a tornado DDT.  Just as she was getting ready to go for the pin, Hayley Hailstone came out and Maxine got up to jaw jack with her.  When she realize the ploy, she ran back over attempting the pin but the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish.  Hayley smiles and turns to leave and Maxine throws a fit in the ring before finally leaving.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, Shawn ‘Abs of Stone’ Austin throws out a challenge to Superstar Chic Monroe challenging him for his spot in the World Top 10 lineup. Monroe, the Swiss Superman, never one to back down from a challenge, immediately accepted.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, TNT, one half of the World Tag Team Champions, makes his way out for singles action.  He gets a nice pop as he makes his way down to the ring.  He doesn’t get to do much in the ring because as soon as he entered the squared circle, the music changed and we hear “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and the Hardcore Champion makes his way out for this non-title match.  The fans, as expected, boo the crap out of him and he flips them off as blatantly as he can.  He gets into the ring and lays his title on the edge of the ring.  Apollo went on the offensive as soon as the bell rang but it only took a few minutes for TNT to turn the tide and own the champion.  Apollo tried twice to leave the ring but TNT brought him back each time.  Once in the ring, Apollo eye raked TNT multiple times and TNT got fed up and eye raked Apollo who then acted as if his eyes were removed from his head.  He then knocked TNT out of the ring.  As TNT got to his feet, Apollo runs the ropes and then hits a suicide dive to the outside taking TNT out.  Apollo shakes off the fog and gets back into the ring. TNT gets to his feet but he is stopped when Mean Jack Mason sneaks in from the crowd and slaps a handcuff on TNT and secures him to the ringside barrier.  TNT struggled but he could not get free before the ref ended up counting him out.  Apollo gets the win via countout.  He stands in the ring and begins to laugh and point at TNT but TNT BREAKS free and Apollo’s eyes go all wide.  Apollo then hightails it from the ring.  TNT interacts with the fans before leaving.  (12 min)

TV Champion Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister arrives and says that he has an announcement to make later in the show.  When asked to elaborate, he said they would have to wait.

The next match is ready to go.  First, the challenger Shawn ‘Abs of Stone’ Austin comes out to some major booing from the crowd.  After a few heelish tactics, he rolls into the ring and begins to mock the fans.  As soon as the music changed, the fans popped as the Swiss Superman Superstar Chic Monroe made his way out to the ring.  He gave a few fans some high fives and then got into the ring to face off with Shawn.  Shawn put up one hell of a fight and controlled the match for the first 10 minutes.  It wasn’t until Shawn botched a 360 from the top rope missing Chic completely that things turned the Swiss’ way.  At the 17 minute mark, Chic catches Shawn with a Giant Swing and made the cover to get the 3 count.  Chic Monroe gets the win and retains his spot in the top 10.  Shawn Austin makes his way to the back while Chic celebrates with the fans briefly before heading to the back on his own.

The Ambassador is backstage with Dr. Red Fang.  He says that Fang is huge untapped potential that the Vampire bot’s previous manager (Ant Graham) totally dropped the ball on.  He says that he will lead Fang back to championship glory.  He also throws out an open challenge to anyone on the Tacoma roster who would want to fight this man.  The segment ends with Fang yelling “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!”

As we make our way back to the ring, Jesse California is the first to come out for the next match. He gets a mixed reaction from the crowd.  The music changes and the fans pop HUGE for the Red Hot King Lucas Johnston.  His Lordship makes his way down to the ring and interacts with the fans; something that the previous Kings did not do.  He gets into the ring and removes his crown and cape carefully handing them over to the ringside attendant.  Jesse attacked the King before the bell taking the advantage of the match and keeping it.  Jesse went for a couple of pin attempts during the match but only got 2 counts.  Jesse began getting frustrated when Lucas began making a comeback however it came in just the last few minutes of the match.  Lucas hit Jesse with a back suplex and then an arm drag.  That arm drag though has sent Jesse out of the ring.  Frustrated, he was ready to walk away and began doing so but then the bell rang signaling a time limit draw.  Jesse shook his head and just kept walking to the back.  King Lucas got a pop from the fans and stayed to interact before heading to the back.  (20 min draw)

There is a commotion outside in the parking lot and a brawl has broken out between the Jacks and the World Tag Team Champions Scooter J and TNT.  Both teams are giving each other a real whopping.  Eventually, arena security is able to break it up.  Scooter J reminds the security chief that Master Bull said that there could be no antics that night; he said nothing about being in a different city.  It seems this feud has reached its boiling point.

It is time for our main event but instead of the challenger coming out first, the TV Champion Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister comes out to what seems to be the loudest pop of the night.  Davis gets in the ring and says “A couple of days ago in Phoenix, a challenge was issued for a title match at the PPV.  Drew the Canadian Love Machine (a pop comes from the crowd) planted a seed that got everyone thinking including me.  It would be an honor to meet you in the ring.”  The fans pop even louder than they did before but it all turns sour when Ned Rhyerson III comes out.  Ned has a mic too “Not so fast funny man.  I get my title match tonight and after I take that belt off of you, you will have nothing but a sad memory.”  Ned drops the mic and power walks to the ring.  As soon as he enters the ring, the bell rings starting this one off.  Ned got some early shots in and at the 6 minute mark, he strapped in a step over toe hold.  Davis was working his way to the ropes when the ref called for the bell.  Everyone was confused.  The ref said that Davis’ hand hit the mat (as he was inching towards the ropes) and claims he tapped out and declared Ned as the NEW TV Champion.  Before Ned could celebrate, GM Master Bull came out and called ‘Bullshit’.  Bull said that Davis did no such thing and ordered the match to be restarted with a new referee.  Out comes the Wicked Prophet and he rushes down to the ring.  The match is restarted and Davis totally owned Ned.   About 15 minutes in, Ned began a comeback but that was all negated when King Lucas came out and stood on the stage.  This distraction allowed Davis to deliver a swift kick to the gut followed up by a piledriver.  Davis went for the cover and got the 3 count.  Davis Hoffmeister retains his belt much to the delight of the fans.  The Wicked Prophet raises Davis’ arm and then hands him back his title.  The show then comes to an end with Davis celebrating in the ring and the fans’ applauding.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #760 – Phoenix Heat (04/03)

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  After tonight, there are 4 more shows followed by the Hall of Fame ceremony and then our 3 day PPV extravaganza “Critical Mass”.  The show, taking place live from Seattle, WA will first see the Hall of Fame ceremony in Tacoma, WA, the home of Tacoma Thunder before heading a few miles north.  The event is almost sold out so be sure to get your tickets fast. 

Pyro goes off and our show is ready to get moving.  First, we hear “Money, money, money, moneeeeeeey” play over the loudspeakers and out comes ‘Big Money’ Ned Rhyerson III.  The fans boo him which got under his skin as he yanked a sign from a fan and tore it to pieces and then laughed as he threw the remnants back at the fan.   He got into the ring and soaked in the disdain the fans threw his way.  Next, the music changed and the fans popped HUGE as Drew the Canadian Love Machine came out.  He stood on the stage and the fans went apeshit.  He made his way down to the ring high fiving with the fans along the way.  He got into the ring and was going to climb the turnbuckle but Ned got in his way.   Ned motioned that he wanted the match to get started right away.  Not surprising to anyone, Drew took the match right to Ned and dominated from the first bell.  Ned hit a low blow and tried to get a cheap win but Drew had the presence of mind to roll out of the ring to prevent Ned from stealing a win.  Drew got back in and began opening a can of whoop-ass on Ned.  Just then, the Red Hot King Lucas Johnston came out and Ned stopped to jaw jack with him.  Ned turned around and Drew caught him in a handstand headscissors.  After he took Ned off his feet, Rhyerson got tangled up in the ropes and struggled to free himself.  Drew went for the pin and Ned attempted to get his foot on the rope but Lucas knocked it off allowing Drew to get the 1-2-3.  Lucas then left laughing.   Ned rolled out of the ring and stormed to the back.  In the ring, Drew got on the mic and said that he has yet to be scheduled for a match so he got to thinking that he wanted to challenge one of the ‘big dogs’ in HCW who also was not on the card as of yet.  Drew suggests a challenge to TV Champion Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister for a title match at the PPV.  He knows Davis is not here tonight but hopes he accepts.  The fans pop at the thought of such a dream match.  (10 min)

Backstage, there is a confrontation between Roderick Rothchild and ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone.  Rothchild’s manager the Ambassador and GM Master Bull were there to break things up.  Bull comments that if both men have a lot of energy to spend, they can do it in the ring tonight.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Sarona Reiher makes her way out to the ring.  She is booed as she enters the ring and negatively interacts with the fans.  Next, the music changes and the stage fills up with fog.  Violet Valkyrie then comes running through the fog like a bullet and slides into the ring under the bottom rope.  Sarona backs off as Violet climbs the turnbuckle to huge pops from the crowd.  Violet doesn’t waste any time and the match begins with Violet just dominating her challenger.  Violet hits a one-handed bulldog following it up with a running clothesline and the triangle choke.  Sarona makes it to the ropes to break the hold.  Sarona then gets in her one and only offensive move which was a snap suplex.  Violet took her down with a running double axe handle shot and another running clothesline.  She then makes the cover and surprisingly (or not) she gets the 3 count.  Violet wins the match in only 5 minutes.  The fans pop for her and she stays a few moments to interact with them before leaving.

The Wicked Prophet is backstage talking with Larry Morton.  He says that the reason he didn’t attack Apollo is that is not who he is.  Apollo may lie, cheat and steal to get a win but he takes the higher road. 

We go back to the ring for the next match.  First, Leslie Grimes comes out and she gets a mixed reaction from the fans.  Next, the music changes and then out comes Hayley Hailstone.  Hayley gets on the mic and says she’s just come back from an overseas tour of Ireland and says she had a great time.  She figured that since her connecting flight was here in Phoenix, she’d partake in a match tonight.  Leslie gets tired of all the jibber jabber and attacks her.  Maybe it was the sneak attack or the jet lag but Hayley was off her game.  Leslie took advantage of it.  It also didn’t help that ‘Sassy’ Maxine DeVito was in the audience hiding.  At one point, Leslie threw Hayley out of the ring and then distracted the ref so Maxine could attack her.  Hayley got in a couple of shots but then succumbed to multiple chair shots to her midsection.  Maxine rolled Hayley back in and then took off through the crowd.  Leslie connected with a Hurricanrana and then went for the pin with her feet on the ropes for leverage.  She gets the 1-2-3 and the win.  Hayley is robbed of the match.  Leslie then began showboating in the ring but Hayley got to her feet pretty quick and then hit Leslie with the What the Hail.  The fans popped as Hayley made her way to the back.  (9 min)

‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo and his manager Ms. Alexandria are in the office of GM Master Bull.  Rad asks Bull if everything is set up for tonight.  Bull says that the World Champion is en route and should be here before the end of the show.  Rad says he needs a warm up match and wants on the card tonight.  Bull says he will make it happen.  Rad and Ms. Alexandria leave.

We are back at the ring and then we hear the familiar chime of a bell ring and out comes ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone.  Magnum comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  He begins to hand out treats to the kids at ringside but isn’t able to complete his task when he is interrupted by the Ambassador and Roderick Rothchild.  Roderick gets on the mic and calls Magnum a sheep for cowtowing to the fans and not being a man.  Magnum sets the parking brake on his cart and enters the ring only for Roderick to attack him.  The two begin to brawl.  Roderick held the advantage for just that first minute and then Magnum took over.  Magnum began to dominate the match and even got in one good shot on the Ambassador taking him out.  The Ambassador slowly got to his feet and began motioning to the back for someone.  In the ring, Magnum hit Roderick with the Popsicle (piledriver) and then he made the cover getting the uncontested 3 count.  The ref raises Magnum’s arm in victory but that victory is short lived as…Dr. Red Fang comes out and he and Roderick begin double teaming Magnum.  The Ambassador announces that he now manages Fang.  Just then, former US champion Leon Teremoto comes out armed with a steel chair and ends up chasing both Fang and Roderick out of the ring.  He shakes hands with Magnum after helping him to his feet and then leaves.  Magnum finished giving out ice cream to the fans before leaving.  (9 min)

We are in the parking garage and a limo pulls up.  The World champion the Banker and his manager Ruth Heartless make their way into the building.  A paparazzi tried to take a picture of him but the Banker grabbed the camera and smashed it on the ground.  Thankfully it was one of those disposable ones.

We head back to the ring for the next match.  First, we hear blare over the loudspeakers “GUMBO 7:30 MEANS ITS SUPPA TIME, BITCH” and out comes the Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo and his manager Ms. Alexandria.  Gumbo gets a mixed reaction from the crowd.  He removes his jacket and waits in the ring for his opponent.  Next, Snake Pit member Leiton Snake comes out to a pop from the crowd.  He does interact with the fans shaking a few hands on his way down to the ring.  The bell rings.  Gumbo held the lead during the match but just barely and Leiton stayed with him toe to toe.  Disruptions began when the 5^th Column came out trying to cause Leiton to be distracted but it only worked briefly until the rest of the Snake Pit came out and kept them at bay.  The match ended up going to a 20 minute time limit draw and as soon as the bell rang, the Column attacked the Pit and all 6 men battled all the way to the back.   In the ring, Gumbo got on the mic and called out the Banker.  The World Champion and his manager came out.  Gumbo said that he was demanding an answer to his challenge for a match at the PPV.  The Banker tapped his finger against his chin and finally agreed to the match.  The Banker then threw out a stipulation that Ms. Alexandria would not be allowed at ringside.  Gumbo countered saying that Ruth should not be either.  “It doesn’t work that way.  You want a match with me on the grandest stage of them all, this is how it’s done.  Take it or leave it.”  Ms. Alexandria consulted with Rad and after a moment, he accepted the stipulation.  Everyone eventually leaves. 

GM Master Bull comes out and thanks the fans for attending.  He announces that the PPV is 100% sold out and says that the HOF show will have one match take place.  He says it will be within the confines of a steel cage and it will be Magnum Kone vs Roderick Rothchild fighting within the ominious structure.  The fans pop at the announcement.  Before Bull could continue, Angry Jack Lawson and Mean Jack Mason came out and brushed past the GM on their way to the ring.   Mean Jack gets on the mic and says that the Tag Team Champions continue to hide from them. The music changed to that of the Tag Team Champions (Scooter J and TNT) but no one came out immediately.  Just then, two little people came out dressed as the champs and the Jacks started bellowing in the ring.  The fans did NOT take too kindly to that so they popped even louder when Scooter J and TNT came in through the crowd and hit the ring and began brawling with the Jacks.  Master Bull gathered up both wrestlers and backstage help from the back to break up the ruckus.  It took a while but eventually, the ring was packed with people and both teams were separated.  Master Bull sent both teams to the back separately and warned them that any backstage antics tonight will result in their match at Critical Mass being called off.

A quick vignette airs showing all of the 2019 Hall of Fame inductees as the ring is completely cleared for our final match of the night.

It’s time now for our main event.  We cut backstage first as former Champion Leon Teremoto heads to the curtain and finally down to the ring to go sit at commentary.  Before Leon departed, there was someone in the shadows watching.  We hear an ever so quiet growl before the shape moves away.  Leon sits at commentary ready to help call the match.  The challenger, Perfect Pecs Stoddard comes out and he is accompanied by his tag team partner Shawn ‘Abs of Steel’ Austin.  Austin does not get to remain at ringside and is immediately sent to the back.  The music changes and then out comes the US Champion Anthony ‘Static’ Boom as a loud “BOOM” blares through the speakers.  Boom makes his way down to the ring and shakes the hands of many fans.  He gets into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle holding his title high.   The fans popped even louder.   Pecs immediately went on the attack and overpowered the champion for the first few minutes of the match.  Eventually, Anthony began to battle back and then dominated the rest of the match.  Things went the champs way after this in the 5^th minute of the match:

Perfect Pecs Stoddard attempts to defend against REPEATED ELBOW DROPS but is unsuccessful.

Anthony kept the pressure on hooking on a reverse cradle and going for the pin but Stoddard kicked out at 2.  At the 13 minute mark, Boom hit the Static Shock and went for the cover.  He was astonished when Pecs kicked out.  He couldn’t believe it.  Pecs stumbled to his feet.  Boom rushes the ropes and came flying off them with a flying forearm smash that took Pecs back to the mat.  Boom hooked the leg tight this time and this time, he was able to secure the 3 count.  Anthony Boom gets the win and retains his title.  The fans pop as Boom climbs the turnbuckles pumping his fist into the air. He gets back to the center of the ring where Leon Teremoto is waiting for him.  The two do some talking and then Boom extends his hand.  The fans pop.  The show comes to an end with Leon leaving and Anthony celebrating with the fans.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #759 – Tacoma Thunder (03/31)

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  We are 3 weeks away from what is shaping to be one of the biggest PPV’s in HCW’s history.  More and more matches continue to be added to the show and things are looking good.  Tonight’s show starts off with a quick promo from the Wicked Prophet up on the Omegatron:

WP:  “Apollo is scared.  Why else would he act like a cornered animal?  Like I have always said, his tough guy act is a Guise.  He is a varmint.  He should change his name to Opossum Guise.”

Pyro goes off and our first match of the night is ready to go.  First, Vanilla Zombie comes out with her manager “the Singapore Sensation” Matt Preacher to booing from the crowd.  Once in the ring, the music changes and the crowd pops as Hayley Hailstone makes her way out.  She gets into the ring and the match begins pretty quickly.  Hayley was in control for a good portion of the match until ‘Sassy’ Maxine Devito came out.  She provided enough of a distraction that allowed Vanilla (and Preacher to interfere) and get the upper hand.  After Vanilla threw Hayley out of the ring, she and Preacher distracted the ref while Maxine attacked Hayley.  Maxine threw Hayley into the steel steps and then rolled her back into the ring.  Vanilla picked Hayley up and hit the Soul Crusher.  She made the cover and got the 3 count.  Preacher entered the ring and raised Vanilla’s arm in victory.  She then turned and began putting the boots to Hayley and was joined by Maxine.  Music hits and out rushes Tempest Fortune.  She hits the ring and begins clearing house.  First Vanilla and then Maxine are hurled out of the ring.  Tempest helps Hayley to her feet.  Hayley takes the mic and immediately issues a challenge for a tag team match at the PPV against Vanilla and Maxine.  Maxine is quick to accept much to the confusion of Preacher but once Maxine whispered what her plan was, he was on board.  It looks like we have another match set for the PPV.  Tempest and Hayley shake hands and then leave.  (18 min)

We cut to pre-taped comments from the Hardcore Champion Apollo Gyze (who will be defending his title here tonight):

Apollo:  “Well I must admit, I didn’t foresee the false Profit coming away with the win versus that big 7 foot hunk of useless-ness.  I’m a lot of things but a liar isn’t one of them.  With that said, I will give WP a title match of some sort.  To all the fans out there watching around the world, please let WP BE a living testimony that dreams still come true no matter how much of a fan junkie you are.  Think about it; all Profit’s life, he has watched and looked up to the Great wrestling immortals who are much like myself, and now because of his huge effort to annoy the hell out of me, I’m going to kick his a$$ in front of the world via the Omegatron.  Out of all the cans of whoop ass I have dished out in my lifetime, I can definitely say this one will by Holy.  I know…how sacrilegious of me; good thing we’re not in a church which means it’s ok to deliver a Big Bang Theory on you.  I will do the world and my wrestling peers a favor by showing everyone the differences between professional wrestlers and guys like Profit.  Not everyone is meant to be a hardcore champ; it takes a real, mucho alpha male and not some stay at home cookie-baking soccer dad like yourself.  Once I kick this nun’s tail all over the arena, I won’t be apologizing to no one, not even the Pulp!”

**Due to Apollo Gyze’s rather large catholic following, he decided to not use the title of Pope but instead chose to insert a malapropism.

Our next match on the card is 6 man tag team action.  First, the reunited Snake Pit (Tobias, Niven and Leiton Snake) all make their way out to a decent pop from the crowd.  Once in the ring, their music abruptly ends and out comes Tommy Lightning and the Smashers.  They are booed as they make their way down to the ring and Tommy shows the fans what he thinks of them (one finger salute).  Tommy gets on the mic and immediately berates the Snake Pit calling their reuniting a publicity stunt.  Tommy says that he and the Smashers will burn through the competition until the closet champions the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman give them their shot at the titles.  The match begins with Tommy starting off but for whatever reason, he never tagged out.  The Smashers would join him in the ring for double and triple teaming but he never officially tagged out.  The Steel Curtain snuck down and took out the Smashers without the ref seeing it.  Finally, when Tommy went to tag out, his partners were not there.  Confused, he turned around only to eat a running front dropkick from Tobias.  Tobias made the cover and got the easy 1-2-3.  The Snake Pit are victorious in their first match back together as a team.  Tommy rolled out of the ring and looked up just in time to see Biceps Bannerman rushing at him.  Bannerman plowed into Tommy and both crashed into the steel steps.   Back in the ring, the Snake Pit were attacked by the 5^th Column but they were successfully turned away.  The Column/Snake Pit feud continues to expand.  (15 min)

Backstage, Nix Anderson is with Larry Morton.  Nix explains why he attacked the Axe.  “On one hand, you have a former World Champion in the Axe and then you have me, the Thrilla of Tacoma (yes I know it doesn’t rhyme) who seem to have nothing going on for the biggest event of the year.  So, as I continue to make my way up the rankings of HCW, why not go after one of the big dogs.  Axe, it’s nothing personal; it’s all business and I can guarantee that the future of HCW is standing right here and the past will be just that…the past. 

Our next match is ready to go.  First, Angry Jack Lawson comes out accompanied by his tag team partner Mean Jack Mason.  They are booed as they make their way down to the ring.  They grab random signs from the fans and tear them to pieces.  Angry Jack enters the ring for his 1:1 matchup.  The music changes and out comes the Axe.  The fans pop for him but he stays on stage.  He motions to the back and out comes his tag team partner Superstar Chic Monroe.  Monroe will be there to ensure Mean Jack does not get involved in the action tonight.  Axe gets into the ring and the fans pop again before the bell sounds starting this one off.   The match was pretty close with Angry Jack’s intensity matching up against the Axe’s power.  The two fought for a whopping 13 minutes before either of them attempted a pin or submission.  At the 14 minute mark, Angry Jack hit Axe with a chokeslam and went for the cover only for Axe to kick out at the very last second.  Jack then went for a forearm smash but it was reversed and Axe slammed Jack hard to the mat.  Jack was slow to get up but once he did, Axe rushed him hitting a shoulder tackle.  Axe went for the cover and just then Mean Jack tried to interfere but was cut off by Chic.  Chic waved a finger and shook his head.  In the ring, the ref counted 1…2…3.  Axe gets the win.  Angry Jack rolls out of the ring and he and Mean Jack make their way to the back.  Axe gets on a mic and tells Nix Anderson that he woke a sleeping dog and now that he’s awake, Nix has his full attention and will accept a match at the PPV.

Backstage, TNT is getting ready for his singles match and he and Scooter J tell the Jacks they officially accept the challenge for the belts at the PPV.  TNT says they have something great in store and hopes the Jacks are ready.  Scooter J looks at the camera and says “Boys, welcome to the big leagues.  You wanted us and now you’re getting us.”

Our next match is ready to go.  First, TNT, one half of the Tag Team champions comes out first to a pop from the crowd.  He gets the fans psyched up but his music is cut off when Shawn ‘Abs of Stone’ Austin comes out.  The fans boo the crap out of him.  “You suck” chants begin ringing throughout the building. Austin flips the fans off and gets into the ring.  He immediately goes after TNT.  Templeton was ready though and controlled the pace of the match.  12 minutes into the match, TNT gets tossed out of the ring.  Waiting in ambush behind the barrier was Austin’s partner Perfect Pecs Stoddard but the fans popped huge before Pecs could ambush TNT.  Pecs turned around to see Maximillian Redbeard and Superquake Ferguson standing behind him.  The two began wailing on him and this caused Austin to take his eye off of TNT.  Templeton gets in the ring but Shawn hits a neckbreaker.  Shawn whips TNT into the corner and hits a punch but TNT comes right out and lifts and presses Austin over his head before slamming him to the mat.  Shawn goes for an inverted DDT but Templeton reverses it and hits a flying dropkick.  He makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  TNT scores the win and the fans pop.  TNT leaves and Austin follows shortly thereafter.  (15 min)

Hardcore Champion Apollo Gyze arrives in the building and he basks in the glow that is the booing from the crowd.  He takes his title out of his bag and drapes it over his shoulder.  He says “Apollo is in the hoooooouse!”  He smiles huge as fans continue their verbal onslaught.  He walks into his dressing room and slams the door behind him.

The next match on the card is ready to begin.   First, Wendell Hammerschmidt makes his way out to booing from the crowd.  He gets in the ring and continues to rile the fans up.  The music changes and getting the loudest pop of the night is Texas Wildfire.  TW makes his way out and each step he takes towards the ring generates more and more volume from the fans.  TW gets into the ring and climbs one of the turnbuckles and pumps his fist into the air.  Wendell attacks him from behind trying to get the advantage but after the first minute, it was no longer a factor.  TW and Wendell were pretty even throughout the match.  TW had called for the leaping DDT but he got distracted when Matches Malone made his way out.  Matches sauntered down towards the ring flicking matchsticks at the fans.  Wildfire turned his attention back to the ring and began peppering Wendell with rapid punches.  Wendell came back and connected with a reverse Frankensteiner.  They were close to the ropes and TW got his foot on the bottom rope but Matches knocked it off and the ref counted to 3.  The match is then awarded to Wendell.  Matches remained on the outside of the ring.  After he recovered, TW grabbed a mic and challenged Malone to a match at the PPV.  Matches motioned that he would accept.   It looks like another match is set for the 3 day extravaganza.  (12 min)

Apollo comes out of his dressing room and makes his way towards the ring.  He is approached by Clarkus Kentus who walks with the champ towards the ring.  Clarkus asks him if he thinks the Wicked Prophet will be a factor in tonight’s match and Apollo stops in his tracks and says “He can try but it won’t do any good.  If he does stick his nose into his match tonight, he will not apologize for what happens next.”

It’s time for our Mani Event.  The loudspeakers blare “I’ve got some bad news for ya” and out comes ‘Bad News’ Marvin Barnes.  He is booed as he makes his way down to the ring.  After he gets in, the music abruptly changes and we hear “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and out comes the Hardcore Champion.  Apollo makes his way and the fans boo even heavier.  Apollo gets into the ring and is asked what style rules he wants for the match tonight.  Apollo answers with “ECW Rules” and the fans pop for that.  Apollo looks at them like they are deranged.  Apollo goes right on the offensive and he totally dominated the match.  About 15 minutes into the match, the Wicked Prophet came out and went to sit at commentary.  It didn’t faze Apollo at all.  As the match entered the final minute, Apollo hit the ropes but didn’t’ do anything and he ended up eating a superkick.  The force of the move sent Apollo through the ropes and out to the floor.  Prophet went and stood over him as the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish.   Prophet picked Apollo up and rolled him back into the ring.  Marvin left the ring and Apollo got to his feet.  He and Prophet had a stare down as the show comes to an end.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #758 – Phoenix Heat (03/27)

Hello fans and welcome back to another episode of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  GM Master Bull comes out as pyro goes off and once complete, he thanks the crowd for attending.  He states that the fans will be in for a surprise tonight with the Tag Team Champions Scooter J and TNT appearing live to defend the titles.  The fans pop.  Bull says that the Hall of Fame class of 2019 is now complete.  Bull states that he will be inducting Sonic Blade as well as Reid Rothchild and Ravishing Raquel.  Bull reminds the fans and the wrestlers backstage that he doesn’t take any bulls*it from anyone and has confident that the road to Critical Mass will be one hell of a ride and thinks the fans will be pretty damn pleased with how it’s all going to play out.  Bull leaves.  Pyro goes off again and our show is ready to begin.

The first match begins with Missy Chick making her way out to a small pop from the crowd.  Next, Sarona Reiher makes her way out to booing from the crowd.  She flips them off which only irks them all the more.  She gets into the ring and continues taunting the fans before unloading on Missy.  Missy battled back and for a solid 12 minutes, both women were about even with neither taking the lead in the match.  After a trip to the outside of the ring, Sarona introduced Missy the hard way to the steel steps.  After that, she took control and even though she went for the pin a few times, Missy kept kicking out. As we entered the final minute of the match, Sarona began showboating but then Missy locked her up in a guillotine choke.  There was a race to see what would happen first…Sarona tapping out or the time limit expiring.  Just when it looked like Sarona was going to give in first, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish seconds before the tap out came.  The match ends in a time limit draw and Missy is disappointed but the fans give her a nice pop and she leaves with some satisfaction.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, the Steel Curtain (Starbuck and Buzz Steel) are watching the TV show Gotham when 5^th Column members Baron von Blood and Karl Braun interrupt them.  Baron calls American TV trash and begins to bash all shows that are related to comics but then adds in ‘Big Bang Theory’.  Buzz stands up and says “That’s enough.  I draw the line.  Arrow, Flash, Legends…all great shows but don’t you DARE insult BBT.”  Karl asks him if his feeling are hurt.  Buzz says he’d be open to showing them what a hurt looks and feels like.  Karl accepts a match for later tonight.  After the Column leaves, Starbuck asks “I thought you didn’t like BBT.”  Buzz replies “I don’t but what better way to get ourselves a match tonight and throw down an ass whuppin.”  Starbuck laughs and says “Word.”

The next match is ready to go.  First, the Ambassador comes out and then introduces Rowdy Roderick Rothchild.  The fans boo as the duo make their way down to the ring.  Roderick struts around the ring but the fans then pop as Biceps Bannerman makes his way out.  Biceps high fives the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.  The Ambassador whispers something to Roderick before leaving the ring.  The bell rings (the Ambassador rang it before Biceps was ready) and Roderick took the early advantage.  Roderick kept in control for the majority of the match but a close call was averted when the Ambassador got Roderick’s foot on the bottom rope following a huge powerslam.  Biceps wasn’t happy with the Ambassador’s interference and threatened him.  Roderick distracted the ref and the Ambassador hit Biceps over the head with his cane breaking it.  Biceps fell to the ring.  Roderick rushed over and made the cover.  The ref didn’t see the mysterious blood on Bicep’s head and counted to 3.  Roderick gets the cheap win and continues his winning streak.  Roderick gets on the mic and tells the Banker or whomever will be the champion that he is coming for the World Title and once again, the world will relish in seeing a Rothchild as World Champion.   He and the Ambassador then leave.  (14 min)

Wilber Townsend is backstage cutting a promo.  “The world does not have a voice of its own. It can't tell you what it wants, what it needs. But it's yearning for something to point it in the right direction. A savior, perhaps. Save us, Leon Teremoto! You must forgive me. Where have my manners gone. I don't think I've had a chance to formerly introduce myself. You may call me Wilber Townsend. But I have a thousand faces and a million names. Seducer, accuser, destroyer. I am the color red in a world full of black and white, and if you value your ability to breathe, don't get too close. Save us, Leon. Save yourself.”

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Bob ‘Powder’ Keg makes his way out to the ring.  He gets a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, his opponent Talon McFrost comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  I guess the fans are not sure who to cheer for and who to boo.  Talon enters the ring and is immediately attacked by Bob so that helps to set the tone.  Keg was explosive in this match and he totally controlled the pace of the entire match.  Although both men went for the pin numerous times, neither was able to secure that elusive 3 count.  Just as the match was nearing the time limit, Bob hit a huge powerslam off the ropes.  He however took his time in making the cover so that he could jawjack with the fans.  By the time he made the cover, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish.  Bob wasn’t happy and had words with the ref.  Bob then slugged the ref but Talon was right there and dropped Bob with the Cold Stone.  Bob rolled out of the ring cursing Talon as he backed up the ramp.  Talon checked on the ref who seemed to be ok and then the two headed to the back.  (20 min draw)

 Niven and Tobias Snake are backstage and they say that they are getting their shot at glory tonight when they get their shot at the tag team titles.  They are interrupted by Baron von Blood and Karl Braun (I guess these two are just trying to cause trouble).  Baron says he can’t understand how these two nobodies rank higher than the Column.  Tobias tells him it’s because one team sucks and it’s definitely not the Pit.

We go back to the ring and the lights dim.  A single lantern lights the way as Wilber Townsend makes his way out.  “Beware the buzzards” he croaks as he makes his way into the ring.  The lights comes up as he extinguishes the lantern.  The music changes and out comes Leon Teremoto.  Leon stops on the stage and with mic in hand, he says that he is not yet cleared to wrestle but he has a friend who has no problem stepping into the ring with Wilber.  We hear a familiar chime of a bell and out comes ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone.  Magnum stops and shakes hands with Leon and offers him an ice cream sandwich.  Magnum hands out a couple more treats and then gets in the ring.  Magnum stands tall imposing his size over the crazy Wilber Townsend.  The bell rings and this one is off to the races.  Magnum had control of the match until Roderick Rothchild made his way out.  He went to sit at commentary and just stared daggers at Magnum.  Wilber took advantage of the distraction and attacked.  After a few minutes, Magnum began to battle back dropping Wilber with the Push Pop.  Roderick then stood up and made his way to the ring.  Magnum stopped and began questioning why Roderick was out here.  Wilber attacked once again hitting the Go To Sleep.  He made the cover and Magnum got his foot on the bottom rope but Roderick knocked it off before the ref could see it.  The ref counted to 3 (none the wiser) and awarded the match to Wilber.  Wilber sat in the ring and began to laugh.  He then rolled out of the ring and made his way to the back.  Roderick rolled in to the ring and picked up Magnum.  He motioned he was going for the stunner but then Magnum bounced back like a major force and began peppering Roderick with lefts and rights.  He threw Roderick into the ropes but Roderick held on and then escaped from the ring before Magnum could do any more damage.  Roderick jawjacked with Magnum as he made his way to the back.  Magnum interacted with the fans before he too left.  (12 min)

The Jacks (Mean Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson) are backstage and they promise that before the show ends, they will be getting a title shot.

Back at the ring, we are getting ready for tag team action.  First, 5^th Column members Karl Braun and Baron von Blood make their way out to booing from the crowd.  The get in the ring and continue to antagonize the fans.  Then the music changed and out comes the Steel Curtain.  Buzz and Starbuck Steel are in the house and the fans blow the roof off.  Buzz and Starbuck make their way down to the ring.  They get in and begin to get the crowd psyched up.  They keep a wary eye out for the troublemakers.  The bell rings and the match officially begins.  For 5 minutes, the Column used cheating tactics to stay toe to toe with the Curtain but then eventually the experience the Curtain has kicked in and they totally dominated the 5^th Column.  As the match wore on, Karl has just got done choking Starbuck on the ropes and he turned to Buzz and said “How do you like them apples?” and as soon as he turned around, Starbuck was standing there.  Karl tried to beg him off but Starbuck extended his hand.  Karl looked at the fans and then back at Starbuck.  He began to extend his own hand and Starbuck instead poked him in the eye.  He then rolled Karl up and got the 3 count.  The Steel Curtain get the win.  Baron hit the ring but Starbuck and Buzz bailed laughing.  The fans laughed along with them.  Eventually the 5^th Column left. (15 min)

Tag Team Champions Scooter J and TNT are backstage and they laugh at what just transpired.  TNT says that the Steel Curtain are quickly moving up the ranks and perhaps sooner rather than later, they will have to meet them.  Scooter J says they will worry about that when the time comes but for now, they have 2 members from the Snake Pit tonight.  SJ credits the Pit for being “street tough” but they are not as ring savvy as they are.  TNT then adds that the Jacks have something up their sleeves and Scooter J says they will deal with them.

It is time for the main event.  First, Niven and Tobias Snake come out to a decent pop from the crowd.  The music changed after the Pit was in the ring and the World Tag Team Champions Scooter J and TNT make their way out.  The fans give them a nice reception and the champs head down to the ring.  They climb in and scale the corner turnbuckles holding their titles high.  The fans continue to pop.  They then hand the titles to the ref and this one is ready to go.  For the first few minutes, the champs did dominate but then the Pit got their collective heads together and really gave the champs a run for their money.  Just then, we see Angry Jack Lawson and Mean Jack Mason walking through the crowd.  They make their way to the first row and push two guys out of their seats and they sit down.  They begin throwing stuff at the champs in the ring laughing all the way.  Eventually security came over and escorted them away after the fans who got kicked from their seats complained.  Just as they were leaving, Mean Jack stooped down and picked up a pale of some liquid and threw it at Scooter J and TNT covering them with it (it looked might gross whatever it was).  The Jacks laughed and finally left.  The ref gave the two a minute to clean themselves off (I wonder why there wasn’t a DQ for the outside interference).  They got back in the ring but there were only a few minutes left and the match ended up as a time limit draw.  Scooter J and TNT take their titles and leave.  Niven and Tobias were just getting ready to leave when the 5^th Column (Baron, Karl and Oswald Zimmerman) came in from the crowd and attacked them.  Things were getting dicey until Leiton Snake made his way out.   He makes his way to the ring but doesn’t get in.  The distraction though was just enough for Tobias and Niven to battle back and dump the Column out of the ring.  It takes a moment but finally Niven sees Leiton on the outside.  Tobias motions for his brother to join him in the ring.  Leiton cautiously enters.  Tobias thanks him for coming down.  Leiton and Niven then stare at each other.  After a very tense moment, Niven extends his hand.  Leiton looks to the crowd who pops.  Leiton shakes Niven’s hand and then the 3 do the fist bump in the middle of the ring.  The Snake Pit is reunited once more.  The fans pop as the 3 members stand tall in the ring and with that, the show comes to an end.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #757 – Tacoma Thunder (03/24)

Hello fans and welcome to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder show.  After the pyro goes off, we hear the eye rolling “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and out comes the Hardcore Champion.  Apollo comes out to boos from the crowd and kicks off the show.

“Wicked Pheasant, you shouldn’t be flattered, you should be flattened.  You are a joke and unlike me, the Hardcore Champion, you should not be in a ring unless you are there to clean it.  Ring boy…that should be your name…clean my shoes…Ring Boy…take out the trash…Ring Boy…wash my wrestling gear.  You think for one second that I care who you are and what you think, you are sadly mistaken.  But you seem to want a shot at me for some unknown reason.  Tell you what, you can pick ANY person in the top 10 for my title and if you can defeat him, I will grace you with the opportunity to fight me for MY title.  Better get crackin’ Ring Boy.”  Apollo leaves to boos from the fans.

Our first match of the evening kicks off with the newest member to HCW Matches Malone making his way out to the ring.  The fans went a little quiet but Malone got them stirred up after he flicked and bounced a matchstick off the head of a little boy.  Man, did the fans take exception to that.  They remained vocal against him for the rest of his time out there except when his opponent Outback Oscar came out.  Oscar got a huge pop as they want to see Malone fizzle out.  The match begins and just as the fans had hoped, Oscar dominated the match really making Malone look like a newbie.  For 13 minutes, Oscar controlled the pace of the match and hit a full nelson face smash thinking that would take Malone out.  Malone instead rolled out of the ring and when Oscar went to grab him, he got pulled out of the ring and then Malone introduced Oscar the hard way to the steel steps.  Malone managed to roll back in just beating the 10 count and then getting the win via countout decision.  The fans were not happy but Malone soaked it in and eventually left.  Oscar was helped to the back by the ref.  He seems ok but just a little shaken up.  (13 ½ min)

Backstage, Hayley Hailstone runs into Sassy Maxine DeVito.  Hayley accuses Maxine of cheating in their first match but Maxine does the whole “who me?” shtick.  Maxine asks Hayley if she wants another match and Hayley says yes.  Maxine agrees.  Hayley walks off and Maxine begins to laugh.  We hear her say “What a noob” as the camera turns off.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, the Wicked Prophet comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.  Prophet gets on the mic and praises the new US Champion Anthony ‘Static’ Boom.  Prophet says that Boom is a great opponent however he should have been the one meeting Leon for the title.  Nonetheless, it seems that Apollo Gyze keeps getting into his head but this time, nothing will distract him from becoming the #1 contender.  Wicked Prophet then announces that he will take on Karl Braun in a challenge to get that shot he wants at Apollo.  Karl doesn’t show up but the Hardcore Champion does.  “Nope, nope, nope.  This will not do.  I can’t seem to trust you to put out a challenge to someone worthy so I will do it for you. Your opponent tonight will be this man…”  Out comes the 7’ giant Superquake Ferguson.  Wicked Prophet physically gulps at the sight of this man.   Superquake looks at Apollo with a very annoyed look on his face.  Apollo stops him before he went to the ring.  “Oh, and by the way…Ferguson, if you try to throw the match or get intentionally disqualified, you will lose any shot you may think you deserve at this title.  Good luck Pheasant.”   Apollo then left and Superquake made his way to the ring.  Both men shook hands and the bell rang.  Superquake allowed Prophet to get in a few shots before he began unloading on his own.  Ferguson then dominated the match and got near falls after hitting a chokeslam and the Cutting Edge.  Ferguson was going for another chokeslam but Prophet took them both to the floor over the top rope.  Prophet was able to get back in the ring but as soon as Ferguson was on his feet, Angry Jack appeared from the crowd and blasted Superquake twice with chair shots.  Superquake rolled back in the ring.  He tried to get to his feet but the chair shots were too much and he fell to his knee.  Prophet then locked him up in the Crucifix Clutch and stretched until Ferguson decided he’d had enough and tapped out.  The Wicked Prophet gets the win.  The ref raises his arm but he is blindsided by Apollo who came in from the crowd.  Apollo beats him down but then yells at the ref that he will NOT apologize.  Apollo then stormed off.  Prophet made it to his feet and to the back under his own power.  (10 min)

Karl Braun is back in GM Max McGillicutty’s office bitching about the fact he flew here from Phoenix only to be put on the sideline.  The Axe walks by and says that if Karl is looking for an opponent, he’ll take him on.  Max makes the match official and Karl is not happy.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, Hayley Hailstone makes her way out to a nice pop from the crowd.  She is all business as she waits for her opponent Sassy Maxine DeVito to make her way out.  Maxine comes sauntering out and the fans boo her.  She doesn’t care.  She makes her way down to the ring and immediately calls for the match to begin.  The two ladies slugged it out for an astonishing 25 minutes.   During the first minute of the match, Maxine went for the quick win by grabbing tights but the ref caught her.  After that, the action was fast paced.  Hayley connected with a tornado DDT at the 10 minute mark but Maxine kicked out at 2.  No pin or submission was attempted again until towards the end of the match.  Maxine did try to get Hayley counted out after hurling her over the top rope buy Hayley made it back in by the count of 6.   At the 25 minute mark, Hayley takes Maxine down with a roundhouse kick.  She then called for the What the Hail and connected.  She made the cover and got the 3 count.  Hayley Hailstone gets the win and once again sets her sights on the Ladies Championship.  (25 min)

We go back to GM Max McGillicutty’s office and this time, the Singapore Sensation Matt Preacher is there with Vanilla Zombie.  Preacher demands that Vanilla get a match as she’s been left to the sidelines ever since that travesty of a match against Ruby Rose.  He demands she get a match tonight.  Max says that he will oblige and tells the two of them to start making their way to the ring as they will be up very soon.

We head to the ring for our next match.  Karl Braun makes his way out first to booing from the crowd.  Braun flips the fans off as he makes his way to the ring amidst the hostile Tacoma crowd.  He gets in the ring and continues to piss the fans off until the music changes and out comes the Axe.  Axe gets a loud pop from the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.  Karl immediately attacks him as he enters the ring and this one is stared before the Axe was ready.  The cheap attack before the bell gave Karl the upper hand but just barely.  The longer the match went on, the angrier Axe became and really started to open a can of whoop-ass on Karl.  Just when the Axe was getting ready to hit the Axe on Karl, music interrupted and it was Nix Anderson.  People were confused as to why he’s coming down.  Karl immediately distracted the ref while Axe and Nix had words.  Nix then smashed Axe with his ukulele disintegrating it.   Nix immediately stepped back and watched as Karl hit the Gestapo Drop (reverse neckbreaker) on Axe.  He made the cover and got the 3 count.  Karl left the ring after he got his hand raised.  He looked at Nix as he walked by but kept going.  Nix watched from the outside and after seeing Axe get to his feet, he turned and walked to the back.  Axe was able to shake off the cobwebs and make it to the back on his own.  (15 min)

Backstage, Violet Valkyrie confronts Ladies Champion Ruby Rose.  Violet accuses Ruby of costing her the handicap match.  Ruby acts like she has no idea what Violet is talking about.  Violet says she will get another shot at the title and then storms off.  Ruby looks after her and says “Good luck with that”.

We are back in the ring and as the next match is ready to begin, Tempest Fortune comes out first to a nice pop from the crowd.  She begins to get the crowd psyched up but is interrupted by ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher and Vanilla Zombie.  Vanilla rushes down to the ring and slides under the bottom rope.  She begins to look quizzically at Tempest.  She just stands there tilting her head from side to side.   Her facepaint is looking pretty eerie so she is doing her best to get into Tempest’s head.  The match began and it seemed like the mind games were working.  It also didn’t help that Preacher got involved a few times in the match.  After getting slapped in the face by Preacher, Tempest hit the R-MAC Attack on Vanilla but only got a one count.   Preacher then bludgeoned Tempest for a foreign object.  Vanilla went for the quick cover but Tempest kicked out at 2.  13 minutes in, Tempest hits a DDT and goes for a pin but Vanilla gets her foot on the bottom rope at the last second to stop the count.   Preacher then slapped Tempest again and Vanilla tried to roll her up for a pin but Tempest kicked out.  Tempest rolled out of the ring and began chasing Preacher around the ring.  She eventually gave up and got back in the ring.  She locked Vanilla up with a Power Full Nelson but Vanilla powered out of it and hit a Zombie Strike.  She didn’t make the cover as Preacher was telling her to do it a second time.  She hit a second Zombie Strike and then made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Vanilla Zombie gets the win and Preacher joins her in the ring and holds her arm high in victory.  The two eventually leave.  (16 min)

Backstage, TNT walks in from outside safe and sound.  He meets up with Scooter J and tells him that the Jacks need to be stopped.  He thinks that maybe getting them in a match at the PPV is just what the doctor ordered.  Scooter J doesn’t think they deserve it but says he’s willing to talk more about it.

It’s time for our main event.  Tonight, the 6 Man titles are on the line when the champions the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman take on the Huber Clan.  The Hubers make it out first to booing from the fans.  The champs come out next and the fans blow the roof off the place.   Each of the champs climbs one of the turnbuckles and holds their championship high.   The celebration is cut short when Tommy Lightning and the Smashers come out.  Tommy has a mic and blasts the Curtain for taking the easy way out and choosing a team of schmucks like the Hubers to defend against.  Tommy warns the Curtain that he knows how they work and at any time, those belts can find a new home.  Buzz gets on the mic interrupting Tommy and begins making fun of him which the fans all joined in on.  Tommy threw down the mic and he and the Smashers stormed to the back.  The match begins with Junior scoop slamming Buzz but Buzz hits the Buzzkill and goes for a pin but Junior powers out.   Starbuck is tagged in and immediately tags in Biceps for some double teaming on Junior. Biceps drops him with a clothesline and Starbuck hits the Shooting Star Buck.   Junior gets to his feet and tries to scoop slam Starbuck but he reverses it and hits the hangman’s DDT.  He goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count.  Buzz gets tagged back in.  Junior throws Buzz over the top rope but he holds on and then comes back in and hits the Buzzkill.  Buzz gets a 1 count and then tags in Biceps.  Biceps and Junior slug it out until the Curtain joins Biceps for a triple team.  They’ve totally worn Junior down and they refuse to let him tag out.  Biceps hits a full nelson lift and slam and then makes the cover to get the 3 count.  The champs retain their belts but their celebration is short lived as the other two members of the Huber Clan attack them after the bell and they are joined by Tommy Lightning and the Smashers.  The numbers proved to be too great and the champs eventually fell under the barrage from their opponents.   Tommy then hands Ferb Huber a wad of cash and the Hubers leave.  Tommy and the Smashers stand over the champs holding their titles.  The fans booed as the show came to an end.
