HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #684 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  The show begins with GM Max McGillicutty actually in the ring.  He says that one of Tacoma’s own has requested to make an announcement.  “Born in the USA” plays through the speakers and out comes “Dude USA” Mick Rude.  Rude joins Max in the ring and requests a mic.  He says he’s had a great time performing in front of the HCW crowd but with the injury he sustained a couple of weeks back, he’s begun to re-evaluate what he wants to do with his life.  The fans begin to stand and cheer as they know what’s coming next.  Rude then announces that he is retiring from the ring and needs to take some serious time off to recover.  He looks to Max who nods and says that he’s not leaving the Tacoma crowd empty handed.  He says that with Max’s approval, he has sought out and brought in his replacement.  He calls him the first ever “super soldier” and introduces…Protocide!  This behemoth comes out but the fans are weary.  They’re not sure how to accept him.  The guy is about as big as Superquake Ferguson but more muscular.  He gets into the ring and shakes hands with Max and Rude.  He takes the mic and says he’s all about finding new challenges in life and HCW is a great place to begin that journey.  The fans pop.  He tells Rude he’ll carry on his legacy but where Mick failed, he will succeed.  Rude may never have won the big belt but he promises that no one will be safe…from Buzz Steel (fans pop) to the “stand in” Rad Gumbo (fans boo).  He says he looks forward showing the world what he’s got.  The fans pop as Max, Rude and Protocide all leave the ring.

Pyro goes off once again and we are ready to kick off today’s show.  First, making his way out to the ring is Wendell Hammerschmidt.  He is getting his shot at the TV title tonight.  Next, ‘the Honorable’ J C Dykes comes out and is followed by the TV champion the Unknown Assassin.  The fans boo the crap out of him.  UA seems unfazed.  The two make their way to the ring as miscellaneous debris are hurled their way.  UA gets in the ring and immediately attacks Wendell. Wendell fought back and held his own for a very impressive 14 minutes.  9 minutes in, Wendell got tired of Dykes’ constant interference and took him out.  After that, the Unknown Assassin turned up the heat and really took the match to his opponent.  At the 17 minute mark, Dykes recovers and is back in action. After seeing Dykes back on his feet, Wendell hits the champ with a German Suplex but a recovering Dykes clocks Wendell with his (loaded) canteen.  UA rolled Wendell up and got the 1-2-3.  The Unknown Assassin retains his title.  The ref hands the belt to UA and Dykes raises his arm up high. The two mock the fans from the ring and then leave.  Wendell is helped to the back.  (18 min)

Jacques Beannot is backstage and he says that he is blowing through the competition and says he’s ready for the next challenge.  “Superstar Chic Monroe, you’re next on my list.   After that, I will have proven I’m ready for a shot at the US title held by my good friend and mentor Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  Watch out roster, it’s time for Canada’s best!”

Lavender Gooms makes her way out to the ring and grabs a mic.  She calls out Star Vixen challenging her for her spot.  Starr comes out and the fans pop for her.  Since these types of challenges cannot be denied, she comes out ready for action.  The action begins almost immediately and for a couple of minutes, Lavender went toe to toe with Starr however after that, Starr took off like a rocket limiting Lavender’s offense.   Panicking, Lavender began to choke Starr in the corner.  Starr wasn’t having any of that so she leveled Lavender with a vicious clothesline and a 2 count.  She followed it up with a hair pull and slam and went for the pin again but Lavender got her foot on the bottom rope.  Starr would go for a couple more pins but Lavender kept kicking out.  She then locked Starr in the Lavender Lock but Starr made it to the ropes.  She let go and then locked it back on again and dragged Starr to the middle of the ring.  Somehow, Starr clawed her way to the ropes to break the hold.  Starr rolled through a botched hurricanrana and executed a standing suplex.  She had Lavender up for at least 10 seconds before crashing to the mat.  Starr made the cover and got the 3 count.  Starr Vixen gets the win (the fans pop huge) and retains her spot in the Ladies Top 10 lineup.  (15 min)

Dr. Red Fang, Wolfman Keg and their manager Ant Graham are being interviewed.  Graham complains that the Ghouls are being discriminated against because one is a vampire bot and the other is, well, a wolfman.  He complains that everyone is afraid of them.  He is then interrupted by the World Tag Team Champions the Desperados (El Chango and Leon Teremoto).  Leon says that Max had given them the night off but if Graham really wants a team to take on his chumps, they are more than willing.  Dr. Red Fang begins to snarl and El Chango gets in his face.  “Got somethin’ to say Bot?”  Graham grabs his team and they walk off.  Looks like we’ll be treated to a non-title match featuring the champs.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Jacques Beannot comes out and the fans pop for him.  He makes his way to the ring and does some poses.  Next, Superstar Chic Monroe comes out and he gets a decent reaction from the crowd.  The two meet in the center of the ring and shake hands as the bell rings starting this one off.  This one was surprisingly close for the first 13 minutes of the match.  After hitting Chic with the Spreadsheet, things began going Jacques’ way and he totally owned the match.  He must have lost track of time as the time limit was approaching quickly.  As we got into the final minute of the match, Chic tried to trip Jacques out of the ring but he fortunately held on, jumped to the top rope and launched himself at Chic connecting with a five arm.  He went to hook the leg but the bell rang bringing this one to a time limit draw.  Jacques was a bit disappointed but Chic, rubbing his jaw, met Jacques in the middle of the ring and extended his hand.  Jacques told Chic he wanted another shot next week.  Chic accepted and the two shook hands much to the delight of the fans.  (20 min draw)

The interim World Champion King Rad Gumbo makes a trip up to Washington and actually goes out of his way to settle in Seattle at a 5 star hotel.  He tries to walk in through the door but is met by hotel security.  They tell him that he’s not allowed to be there.  “Why the hell not?”  Rad looks over to see Buzz sitting in the lobby.  He smiles and waves at Gumbo who storms out of there.  We hear Buzz say “Oh, this is fun”.

Our next match is ready to begin.  The loudspeakers scream with “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE” and Graham and his Ghouls (Dr. Red Fang and Wolfman Keg) make their way out to booing from the fans.  Fang snarls at the fans as he/it makes his way down to the ring with his partner and manager.  Next, the tag team champions the Desperados make their way out and the fans pop huge.  Graham takes a mic before the champs enter the ring and calls them cowards for not putting titles on the line.  El Chango tells them they haven’t earned anything however, if they can beat them here tonight, they will give them a title shot.  Graham smiles and El Chango and Leon Teremoto enter the ring.  The Ghouls put up a good fight but the longer the match went on, the more the champs were in control.   By the time the time limit was in view, the champs were dominating the Ghouls.  At the 29 minute mark, El Chango hits Wolfman Keg with a  spinning kick and just as Leon was getting ready to execute something, Graham jumped up on the apron yelling at the ref.  Once the ref was within arm’s reach, Graham shoved him resulting in a disqualification.  The Ghouls take the loss with the DQ but tried to attack and beat down the champs after the bell.  It didn’t work as El Chango and Leon showed their opponents to the outside of the ring.  Graham snuck into the ring and hit Leon from behind but it did no good.  Leon picked up Graham and threw him over his shoulder.  He called for a powerslam but Fang jumped up on the apron at the last second, grabbed Graham’s leg and pulled him to safety.  The Ghouls cursed at the champs as they made their way to the back.  El Chango and Leon spent a few moments with the fans before also departing.  (29 min; champs retain via DQ)

Backstage, Hardcore Hensen is with his manager ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher and he says that Magnum Chrome dome finally saw the light and is giving him a shot at the title tonight.  Preacher says that this was the dumbest thing Kone has ever done because he’s never fought anyone like Hardcore Hensen.  Preacher turns to Hensen and asks why he knows he’s going to win tonight and Hensen yells “BECAUSE I’M HARDCORE!”  The two walk off.

The Axe makes his way down to the ring to a pop from the crowd.  He comments that his tag team partner TNT is going to get the first title shot at Gumbo and he couldn’t think a better person deserved it.  However, that leaves him needing some action so he’s calling out Jesse California out challenging him for his spot in the top 10 lineup.  The fans pop and then Jesse comes out and is grumbling having to be put into this spot.  It would nice to say that Jesse put up a fight but, well, he really didn’t.  Axe totally owned him however he had great in-ring presence and managed to snag the ropes or get is foot on the rope to stop the count. Axe began to let his frustration show and Jesse saw it and laughed.   One more minute and his spot is intact and Axe remains at the bottom of the roster.  At the 19 minute mark, Jesse went for (who knows what) and Axe ended up dropping him with a power punch.  Jesse was out cold.  Axe made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  The Axe gets the win and moves up in the rankings and Jesse moves down.  (19 min)

Magnum Kone is backstage and he says that the true test of a champion happens in the face of adversity.  Hensen is no different than any of the people who have challenged for this belt, held the belt or defended it.  He says he will do what he does best – fight on until one man is left standing and he’ll prove once again why he’s the champ.

It’s time for our main event.  First, ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher makes his way out with Hardcore Hensen and the fans boo them as they head down to the ring.  Next, ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone comes out and the fans go absolutely bananas.  Magnum gives out the customary ice cream to the kids at ringside and once that job was done, he heads into the ring to complete his other mission.  Once in the ring, the ref announces that this match will be a ladder match. The bell rings and the two begin slugging it out.  They had ladders at their disposal and used them as weapons busting each other open.  6 minutes in, Magnum missed the Ice cream sandwich (splash) and Hensen sandwiched Magnum in between 2 ladders.   Magnum appeared to be hurt and struggled with any offense. Hensen kept the pressure on and controlled the tempo of the match.  We now join the match at the 15 min mark.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #683 – Phoenix Heat

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  Today’s show begins, not in the ring, but backstage.  TV Champion The Unknown Assassin and his manager The Honorable J C Dykes shows up demanding why he’s (they are) not on the show.  GM Master Bull tells him that the belts only need to be defended once month.  Dykes demands UA get more air time. Bull asks “So what you’re telling me is that he wants to have weekly defenses of the title?”  Dykes begins to backtrack.  “No, he should be on the show without having to defend his title.”  Bull shakes his head.  “No, no…you convinced me.  Effective this Sunday, the Unknown Assassin will defend the TV title once a week…alternating between Tacoma and in Phoenix.”  Dykes stammers on but Bull walks away.  UA looks at Dykes with a very annoyed look on his face.  Dykes cracks a smile but I’m sure he’s not happy.

Pyro goes off and our first match is ready to go.  First, Tobias Snake comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger comes out and the fans pop for him.  He shakes hands with some of the fans before sliding into the ring.  Tobias attacked him before the bell pulling him to the outside and hurling him into the steel steps.  He then rolled Winger back in and told the ref to ring the bell.  Tobias went on a tear with Winger not being able to put up much resistance.  After about 7 minutes, Winger found his groove and started making a comeback.  Tobias hit a lariat trying to slow down Winger’s offense but Top Gun followed it up with nullifying a snap elbow drop from Tobias but then connected with the Flyin’ & Stylin’ and rolled Tobias up for the 1-2-3.  Top Gun gets the win and celebrates as Tobias makes his way to the back. Winger follows shortly thereafter.  (9 min)

The New Ladies Champion Madame Jade comes out and the hometown fans pop huge for her.  She makes her way into the ring.  She talks about winning the title and how much it meant for the fans to be there for her.  Former champion Candice Charisma comes out to crash the party demanding an immediate rematch tonight.  Jade tells her it’s only fair to give Candice the same stipulation that was given to her which was to put her career on the line.  Candice scoffs at this as she is already guaranteed a rematch.  Jade replies with “sure but you’re not necessarily first in line.”  Candice gets pissed and accepts.  Jade tells her “Fine but first, you have to fight Ravishing Raquel tonight to see which of you will be the next in line.”  Candice throws a fit but regains her composure.  Before walking off, Candice gets in Jade’s face and says “Play your little game sweetheart and live this up because you, like so many others, will lose the belt before you get your first title defense in.  HA HA.”  Candice storms off.  Jade celebrates with the fans and then leaves.

Next up, we are ready for some tag team action.  The masked men known as the Machines make their way out.  One has the letter B on his chest and the other has the letter P.  I guess this is so we can tell the difference between the two.  They receive a modest pop from the crowd.   The music changes and out comes the Ryzing Storm.  Terra Ryzing and his brother Travis ‘Dark Storm’ Ryzing both make their way out to the ring.  The fans boo the crap out of them.  They act like they’re going to slug some of the fans but show some restraint.  They attack the Machines as soon as the bell rings.  For 5 minutes, the Ryzing Storm beat the holy hell out of the Machines.  Man, this was like watching a match with the Mulkey’s from the 80’s.  At the 6 minute mark, the Machines began a comeback and were able to nullify any offense from the Storm.  The Machines then double-teamed Terra for 2 solid minutes much to the fans’ delight.  Terra gets thrown out of the ring but he’s back in pretty quick but B Machine quickly drops him with a piledriver.  While Terra is twitching on the mat, B calls for another piledriver.  He picks up Terra and beautifully executes it.  Machine P rushes over and takes out Travis.  B makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  The Machines rack up another win.  They celebrate briefly before heading to the back.  Eventually, the Storm leave also.  (9 min)

Scooter J is backstage and he says that he duped TNT into putting the first shot at the interim World Champion on the line.  He’s going to dispatch him pretty quick and will take his rightful place in the world title hunt.

In the interview area, Ravishing Raquel comments that Candice is full of hot air.  She expected to come into HCW as this raging storm but has fizzled out like stale carbonated water.  Raquel says she’s bided her time and once she secures the win, she will get the next shot at the Ladies title.

We’re ready for the next match.  First, Scooter J comes out and the crowd boos him all the way down to the ring.  He doesn’t react and just ignores them.  Next, TNT comes out and the place goes absolutely bananas.  TNT smiles as he makes his way down to the ring.  A one-time scrawny but now ‘Atlas-physique’ mound of solid mass, TNT shakes hands with the fans as he makes his way into the ring.  Scooter J motions with his hands that he’s going to ‘break’ TNT and then the match begins and we are underway.   Scooter J got in the first lucky shot but then TNT, with his future title shot on the line, ‘took the gloves off’ and really showed SJ a thing or two.  The crowd popped with every explosive move TNT pulled out of his arsenal.  We join the match now at the 13 minute mark.

TNT (Templeton N. Townsend) wins with a THE TOWNSEND DRIVER over ScooterJ!!!

TNT pins SJ and gets the 3 count and then begins to celebrate in the ring. Scooter J gets up and just stands in the ring. TNT stops celebrating when the crowd points. Turning and seeing SJ there, TNT looks wary. SJ (remembering what the Axe told him) extends a hand, slowly and leaves it out. TNT looks at it then the fans and back at SJ, who shakes it in a ' come on and take it' motion. TNT grabs it and SJ starts to pull him in for a hug. TNT misreads it and delivers a forearm across SJs mouth, who staggers back looking stunned. Then SJ leaves the ring.  TNT celebrates with the fans briefly before leaving.

Candice Charisma is backstage and she is ready to slap Raquel’s lying mouth.  She says that Raquel calls herself a veteran but in fact, she’s a relic that needs to be put away never to see the light of day again.  She calls Raquel delusional if she thinks she can beat her.  Tonight, she shuts Raquel’s mouth once and for all.  After this, Jade is next.

It’s time for the in-ring action to continue.  First, Angry Jack Lawson, who is, for whatever reason, always angry, makes his way down to the ring first.  The fans boo him and he flips them off.  Next, the music changes and out comes Biceps Bannerman.  Biceps gets a huge pop from the crowd and makes his way to the ring.  Jack meets him outside the ring and attacks him trying to get the upper hand.  Biceps fights him off and rolls Jack back into the ring.  He follows him in and the action officially starts.  Jack was just one step ahead of Biceps but Bannerman was there with him the entire match.  The two fought hard and fast keeping the fans on the edges of their seats.  Before we knew it, the time limit was reached but these two weren’t done.  After the bell rang, the two continued to fight and refused to break it up.  Even after multiple referees and backstage hands came out to try and separate them (and fail), Master Bull came out and ordered the two to stop.  Bull said that they obviously didn’t have enough time to get done what they wanted.  Bull promised them that they will get another shot in two weeks.  The refs finally got them all to separate and order had finally been restored.  (20 min for the match and 10 min for all the aftermath)

The Six Man Tag Team Champions – The Banker and the Regulators – are backstage with their manager Ruth Heartless.  Ruth says she’s speaking on behalf of the champions.  She tells us that no team in the world can stand up to the might of ‘Regulation’ and those who think they have a shot in hell (like their opponents tonight) are sadly mistaken.  She calls the Hubers a bunch of backwater idiots who are quite a few brain cells short of an ape.  Tonight, the champs make an example of the Hubers and will show that they are in fact the cream of the crop and just shy of a miracle happening (she doesn’t believe in miracles), nothing prevents HER team from retaining.  “You can try…and you’ll fail.”

Our next match decides who will be challenging for the Ladies title next.  First, Candice Charisma comes out and the fans boo her.   Next, Ravishing Raquel comes out and the fans pop in what could be the loudest of the night (in favor of someone).  Raquel immediately got in the ring as Candice motioned for her to “bring it”.  Candice took control of the match early on but Raquel eventually took over after about the 6 minute mark.  Candice tried to execute a Northern Lights suplex but Raquel reversed it and connected with a moonsault which got a HUGE pop from the crowd.   Raquel then motioned she was going for the arm and immediately locked in the Ravishing Armbar.  Candice struggled against it and almost made it to the ropes but Raquel dragged her back into the center of the ring.  With nowhere to go, Candice tapped out.  Ravishing Raquel gets the win and is next in line for the shot at the Ladies title.  She celebrated briefly before leaving.  Candice eventually got up and left nursing her arm.  (8 min)

We are then treated to a video of King Rad Gumbo going out for a night out on the town and says he’s taking us to his favorite restaurant.  He greets the Maître D and slips him some cash expecting to get the royal treatment.  After a moment, the Maître D returns and tells Rad that he cannot eat here.  Gumbo throws a fit.  “Why the hell not?”  “Well, it’s because of a restraining order that prevents you from being within 100 feet of Buzz Steel.”  “So, what does that have to do with my…are you kidding me?”  The camera shifts and we see Buzz chowing down on some food.  He looks up, smiles and waves.  Gumbo gets all pissy and grabs his money back and storms out.  Buzz sits there smirking while all the people around him get a good laugh at the King’s expense.

It’s time for the main event and it will be for the Six Man Tag Team Championship.  First, the challengers the Hubers (Ferb, Junior and Butch) come out and the fans give them a small pop just because of who they are going against.  Music changes and out comes Ruth Heartless and the 6 Man tag team champs – Regulation.  The Banker leads the Regulators down to the ring and the Regulators act like they’re going to attack but back off and laugh trying to play mind games.  The match begins with all 6 men in the ring at the same time slugging it out.  The Hubers took control early on but after some ‘guidance’ from Ruth, the champs kicked it into high gear.  When the champs were going for a pin or submission, the Huber’s were there to make the save and vice-a-versa.  The Banker was getting increasingly frustrated that they couldn’t score a pin over their opponents.  A botched move by Regulator Mammoth saw the Huber’s capitalize and take control of the match almost right up until the end.  As time began to wind down, the Banker tagged in and immediately locked Butch up with the ATM Fee armbar.  Much to his credit, Butch wouldn’t tap.  As the clock got closer to the 30 minute mark, the Banker cinched back on the arm trying to get Butch to say the magic words (I Quit) but he wouldn’t.  Finally, the bell rang bringing this one to a 30 minute exhaustive finish.  THAT is when Butch finally tapped but at this point it didn’t matter as this was clearly a tie.  From a point perspective, the challengers were one move ahead and could therefore pursue a rematch against the champions.  Regulation took their belts back and with Ruth in the ring with them, held them high as a draw still means that they are still the champions.  The show comes to an end with them standing in the ring and the fans booing.

Thanks for reading. Be sure to follow the ongoing saga that is HCW as things are really starting to shape up.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #682 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder show.  Just as pyro goes off kicking off today’s show, we are interrupted by “Gumbo 7:30 says its suppa time, bitch” and out comes our new (God help us all) interim World Champion ‘the Ragin Cajun’ King Rad Gumbo.  Gumbo comes out on stage with Queen Alexandria and the two mockingly wave to the crowd which just riles them up all the more.  Gumbo has a mic and says that a new era has begun that doesn’t involve anyone with the last name Steel.  He laughs.  This “standby” title is just a holding spot until the coward Buzz Steel puts away his walker and meets him in the ring and this time, without any outside interference, he will take what is rightly his and will be the undisputed World Champion.  He is then interrupted by GM Max McGillicutty much to the fan’s delight.  Max tells Gumbo that as a world champion, he has to show that he’s above all pettiness and should be on his best behavior especially here, in Tacoma, WA. (pop from the crowd) Gumbo compares the entire Tacoma roster to dumpster divers (man, that lit the fans up pretty good).  Gumbo then says that he’s done said what he needed to and now he’s going to take a shower to wash off the stench.  (Man, this guy better watch himself of there may be a lynching in the parking lot). Gumbo leaves and Max tells us that we are starting off the show tonight with a battle royal that does not include anyone wrestling in an official match this evening.  The winner of that battle royal will get the first shot at Gumbo’s title.  He says that will begin now.

The men’s roster (not involved in a match later on) filed out and headed to the ring.  The battle royal began and immediately people went flying over the top rope to the floor.  The ones doing the most eliminations were the Axe and his tag team partner TNT.  It finally came down to the final 3 which included Axe, TNT and Perfect Pecs Stoddard.  Stoddard sent TNT through the ropes crashing into the steel post.  He fell out of the ring but since he didn’t go over the top, he’s not eliminated.  Axe almost had Pecs eliminated but he was able to hang on.   Axe then got Pecs tied up in the ropes and then went to the other side of the ring and rushed looking to connect with the Axe.  Pecs moved as the last second and sent Axe flying out of the ring and crashing to the floor…eliminated.  Pecs began to celebrate but then realized that TNT hadn’t been eliminated yet.  He exited through the middle rope as to not disqualify himself and grabbed TNT and brought him back into the ring.   Pecs called for a Celtic kick but TNT ducked and picked him up in a fireman’s carry and dumped him over the top rope.  Pecs hit the floor with a resounding crash.  TNT gets the win and will be the first person to challenge Gumbo for his belt.  (30 min)

We go backstage and King Rad Gumbo is taunting the roster about to incite a riot.  World Champion Buzz Steel just so happens to be there and confronts his royal pain in the ass-ness.  Gumbo calls Buzz a “gimp” and feigns wiping tears out of his eyes calling Buzz a “sorry excuse for a human being”.  Rad tells him that he will be Buzz’s worst nightmare and everywhere Buzz goes, he will have to look over his shoulder because he’ll never know when the Ragin Cajun will strike.  He laughs and walks off.  Buzz’s brother Starbuck just so happened to be there also and says it sounded like Buzz threatened him.  Buzz smiles and says he has an idea and tells ‘Buck to follow him.  The brothers walk off in the direction of the GM’s office.

Pyro goes off and our first match begins with “Born in the USA” playing and out comes Dude USA Mick Rude. Rude makes his way down to the ring high fiving the fans.  He gets into the ring and an explosion abruptly ends the music and out comes Bob ‘Powder’ Keg.  Keg is booed all the way down to the ring.  Keg feigns an early attack but then backs off waiting for the bell to ring. Rude was able to control the tempo of the entire match until the last few minutes.  Keg caught Rude with a powerslam and Rude seemed to be hurt.  Then, Keg began putting the heavy boots to Mick and then seemed to bust him open the hard way.  Keg pulled Rude to his feet but he seemed he could barely stand.  Keg picked him up and hit another powerslam.  He didn’t need to hook the leg as Rude was not kicking out of anything.  Bob Keg gets the win.  He celebrates briefly before leaving.  Medics were called out and they took Dude USA out on a stretcher.  The fans looked on in concern.  (19 min)

We head backstage where we see Hardcore Hensen and Magnum Kone fighting backstage.  Nix Anderson joins in the fray but the double team is short lived as Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister joins in and evens the odds.  Anderson cursed at Davis for sticking his nose in where it didn’t belong.  Davis threw out a challenge with him and Magnum taking on Hensen and Anderson.  Hardcore was quick to accept.  The two teams were separated and I guess we got ourselves another match for tonight.

We head to the ring again for 6 man tag team action.   First, Ant Graham walks out just as “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE” blares through the loudspeakers and he is followed out by Graham’s Ghouls – Dr. Red Fang, Mason the Mangler and Wolfman Keg.  The dastardly trio make their way to the ring amidst booing from the fans.  Next, Ovaltine Jackson and Ghee Buttersnaps come out to a huge pop from the crowd.  They wait for the 3rd member of their team and joining them is Jesse California.  Ovaltine and Ghee don’t seem to trust Jesse but they head collectively down to the ring.  Once in the ring, the Ghouls attack Ghee to start things off.  Quick tags with Ovaltine and Jesse kept the damage to a minimum.  Graham managed to slip a foreign object to Wolfman Keg when he was in the ring.  After Jesse got the hot tag from Ovaltine, he started to showboat a bit not paying attention.  He turned around only to get blasted with the object Keg had in his hand.  He quickly discarded it and then viciously eye raked Jesse before rolling him up for the 1-2-3.  The Ghouls get the win but leave without much showboating.  Jesse then began to lambast Ghee and Ovaltine for not making the save.   He hits Ovaltine with a standing drop kick and then drops Ghee with a Famouser Leg drop bulldog.  He looks on in disgust and walks out on his team leaving Ghee and Ovaltine down in the ring.  He is booed all the way to the back but he doesn’t care.  (10 min)

Phoenix roster member Scooter J is in the locker room reading a wrestling magazine.  He makes out-loud comments about it like “Really” and “No Way”. Finally, he throws the magazine down and as he walks out of the locker room.  On his way out, he shoulder blocks his former teammate the Axe, who watches him walk off.   Axe sees the magazine and picks it up. After glancing at it, he looks back to the door with a quizzical look on his face.

Drew is backstage with Jacques and says he’s not sure Jacques is ready for someone the caliber of Ice Dagger.  Jacques tells him he’s ready.  “Don’t you trust me?” Jacques asks.  “Of course but just watch out for him.  Dagger can be a crafty individual.”  “I’ve got this Drew.  You taught me well.  Tonight, I prove it.”

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, manager ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher comes out and he introduces HARDCORE HENSEN and Nix Anderson.  The trio are booed as Matt holds up one of each of their arms and then they head to the ring.  Next, we hear the all-to-familiar sound of an ice cream truck bell and out comes ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone and his tag team partner of the night Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister.  The duo head to the ring.  Davis climbs up on the apron but doesn’t enter.  He waits for Magnum to finish distributing ice cream to the fans at ringside.  Once completed, the two of them enter the ring.  The match began and to everyone’s surprise, the team of Magnum and Davis was a perfect pairing.  The duo used quick tags to keep Nix and Hensen on the defensive.  Matt Preacher got involved a few times but it didn’t seem to help that much.  We now join the match at the 11 minute mark.

Back in the locker room, the Axe has finished changing as Scooter J re-enters.  The Axe makes a show of closing his locker as a card falls out, then starts to leave.  SJ picks up the card, it reads ' don't be a jerk'’.  SJ confronts the Axe. "So you think I'm a jerk?"  Axe responds “I saw the magazine. If that is something you really want, have some redeeming qualities first.”  Axe then walks off with Scooter J pondering what to do next.

The Duchess is backstage with Lady Hermann and says she can’t believe the two of them lost to the newbies.  Tonight, that changes.  The Duchess says she’s turning up the heat and will show ‘the Zombie Rose’ what it means to tangle with the best.

Back the ring, our next match is ready to begin.  First, the Duchess and Lady Hermann make their way out to booing from the fans.  The Duchess takes the time to flip off those who boo her (editor’s note:  it’s a LOT).  Once in the ring, music changes and out comes Vanilla Zombie and Ruby Rose.  The fans pop and we notice that the once small gathering of people wearing zombie-like makeup has grown exponentially.  There are now at least 100 people there wearing the makeup.  Vanilla tilts her head giving them a quizzical look.  Before she turned, you could see an ever so slight smile cross her lips.   Ruby and Vanilla enter the ring but are immediately attacked by the Duchess and Lady Hermann.  The Duchess pulls Vanilla to the corner and wraps her arm around the steel post.  Vanilla looks to be in a lot of pain. The ref finally gets order restored and officially kicks this one off.  The Duchess immediately grabs Vanilla and locks in the All Hail her Majesty.  Vanilla, to her credit, held in there are long as she could but ended up tapping out.  The Duchess and Lady Hermann get the win in just under a minute.  The Duchess and Lady Hermann leave as the Duchess points to her head showing she outsmarted the two of them and the crowd boos them pretty heavily.  Ruby goes to check on Vanilla and ends up helping her to the back.

Madame Jade is backstage and she says that she got duped into putting her career on the line tonight.  She says that she had a great run but that this was only the beginning.  She has no intention of losing tonight and expects to walk out with the championship.

Backstage, Scooter J is still lurking around and confronts his former teammate TNT challenging him to a match in Phoenix.  TNT accepts.

Next up, we have Jacques Beannot coming out to a pop from the crowd.  He makes a beeline for the ring and slides under the bottom rope.  His opponent’s music hits and “Ice Dagger Baby” (a bad rip off of Ice Ice Baby) plays through the loudspeakers as Ice Dagger makes his way to the ring.  The fans boo him as he takes his sweet time entering the ring.  As soon as the bell rang, Jacques was the aggressor and took the fight to the unsuspecting Ice Dagger.  Jacques controlled the match barely letting ID get any offense in.   After a few minutes, Jacques hits the Spreadsheet but doesn’t go for the pin.  Instead, he climbs to the top turnbuckle and waits for ID to struggle to his feet.  He then launches connecting with a flying body and connecting.  He hooks the leg and gets the 3 count.  Jacques gets the win and moves up in the rankings while Ice Dagger drops.  (7 min)

Backstage in the GM’s office and after a lengthy conversation with Max, Buzz is granted a restraining order against King Rad Gumbo that says that Rad cannot get within 100 feet.  Buzz and Starbuck shake hands with the GM and then leave.

Ladies Champion Candice Charisma is pacing.  She looks to the camera and reminds Jade that no one can beat her…not the Duchess and not Ravishing Raquel.  Those two were supposed to be the best in the business and where are they now…at the bottom while she sits at the top.  Candice says that Jade is not in her level and that tonight, Jade’s final match in HCW will be a pathetic loss.  She tells Jade that no one will remember her after she’s gone while Candice will be here…forever.

It’s time for the MAIN EVENT!  This will be a title vs career match.  First, the challenger Madame Jade comes out and the fans pop crazy for her.  She takes the time to shake the hands with the fans at ringside before getting into the ring.  Next, the music changes and out comes the Ladies Champion Candice Charisma.  The fans boo her louder than anything we’ve heard all night.   The referee announces that Jade can only lose by pin or submission.  Since this will be a no DQ/no Count out match, if this goes to the time limit, Jade will be safe.  Candice goes over to the ref and slips him what looks to be like a wad of cash.  Hang on, I think she’s bribing the ref to fast count for her.
