HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #569 – PPV Zero Hour Day 3

Hello fans and welcome back to day 3 – the final day of our PPV Zero Hour coming to you from beautiful Denver, Colorado.  The show begins with a pyro show that rivals some of the ‘other’ companies out there and it just takes everyone’s breath away.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and once again thanks the fans here and watching all over the globe for joining us tonight.  Max says tonight they will crown a new Hardcore Champion when Dr. Red Fang takes on Terra Ryzing and possibly can see the end of some feuds with those angles running their course.  Over the last two days, we’ve seen both the Tag Team and World Title changes hands.  Does that trend continue tonight?  Only one way to find out and the show kicks off.

The first match on the card is tag team action.  The former Queen Ms. Beckett and her tag team partner Jazz Emmett come out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Once they got settled in, the Court (Lady Hermann and the British Crippler) along with Ladies Champion the Duchess comes out and the fans boo them.  They ignore the fans and make their way to the ring.  If Beckett loses this match, she is out of a job however if she wins, she will regain her crown.  Lady Hermann started off against her former teammate and looked strong – a force of Nature.  She immediately tagged the British Crippler in and things went south.  Crippler struggled against the Queen and she made the tag right back out to Lady Hermann.   Beckett never tagged Jazz in thinking she may be on the payroll of the Duchess (she was actually right in hindsight so it’s a good thing she never did).  Her Ladyship took back control of the match and hit Beckett with a sitout wheelbarrow facebuster.  She made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  The Court is victorious and now Beckett is out of a job.  The Duchess makes her way back down.  The Duchess says she has one last piece of information and targets the British Crippler.   She said that Crippler looked weak in this match and does no favors for the court so she too is FIRED!   Lady Hermann and the Duchess leave together as the British Crippler leaves on her own…deflated.  (8 min for the match; 12 for the segment)

We cut to the back and Larry Morton is with the Axe.  Axe says he’s waited long enough and finally he gets the match he wants against Talon McFrost.  Larry asks him if he know what type of rules the match will be and Axe says “Like I’m going to tell you that now.  You, like everyone else, get to wait.”

King Wilber Townsend is backstage with Clarkus Kentus and he begins his rant about Sonic Blade:  “I remember the first time that I was ever struck with truth. The taste was bitter and it was so intense. But I liked it. It was something real. Free will has become man's biggest illusion. They promise it to you just in time to take it away again. And what have they left us with? What have we become? Just a nation full of mindless sheep, led by wolves and owned by pigs. But I was thinking, tonight, man, tonight would be what a wonderful night for change.  I was thinking tonight they have left the power in your hands. Those fools. Tonight, free will does exist. Tonight, you make a choice. And what fate will you choose for your knight in shining armor? Will you choose the path of less pain for your hero? Or will tonight be the night that Sonic Blade finally learns the truth? And the truth is we stand against you. Whether it be this brother or that brother, whether it be in a steel cage or inside your own mind, Sonic, we stand against you.”  King Wilber walks off and Clarkus is just confused.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Talon McFrost comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  Next, the Axe comes out and the fans and the reaction goes sour and he is booed all the way to the ring.  He gets in the ring and is asked what rules he wants for tonight’s match.  He chooses Lights Out.  Talon goes right on the offensive but Axe fights back with equal fervor.  Early on, Axe pulled out a roll of quarters and busted Talon open with them.  It looks like Talon is out so the ref begins to count but Talon somehow makes it to his feet at the 4 count.  Axe gets tossed over the top rope but he’s back in by 5.  Uppercuts and suplexes are thrown and executed and the two just continue to battle.  Axe nails Talon with the Axe but he opts not to go for a pin.  Axe drops Talon with a shoulder tackle but Talon comes back with the Cold Stone but he doesn’t have it in him to try for a pin.  Axe hits a back bodydrop and follows it with a belly to belly suplex from the top turnbuckle.  Both men crash on the mat but Axe manages to get an arm draped over Talon.  The ref counts 1…2…3.  The Axe gets the win and stands victorious.  He contemplates putting a further beat down on Talon but just leaves instead.  Talon is helped from the ring.  (13 min)

Sonic Blade is backstage with Clarkus Kentus and tells him that King Wilber is all messed up in the head.  Maybe it will take him dropping Wilber on his head to sort things right.   Regardless, tonight he gets a win and will be the first to issue a challenge to World Champion Texas Wildfire.

Also backstage is Phat Sol and he is with Larry Morton.  Phat says that tonight, he will dedicate the match to his newborn daughter and once he wins the title, he will show his daughter that he is a true champion.

Match #3 is ready to kick off and Sonic Blade makes his way down to the ring first.  He gets a loud pop from the crowd.  Next, King Wilber Townsend comes out and he just looks plain silly with the crown on his head (for wrestling fans, think Bray Wyatt with a crown – just silly).   Wilber gets in the ring and right into Sonic’s face.  Tensions mount waiting for the bell to ring and once it does, these two begin slugging it out.  About 5 min in, Wilber takes Sonic outside the ring and introduces him hard to the steel steps.   Sonic starts to favor his leg and Wilber capitalized on it.  He kept going after the knee and leg of Sonic who was practically out of the match as he couldn’t put much pressure on his leg.  Sonic did manage to connect with the Alhambra Attack but he could not make a pin attempt.  Wilber took Sonic off his feet again and then set him up for and connected with the Go To Sleep.  Wilber makes the cover and gets the easy 1.2.3.  King Wilber stands over Sonic Blade laughing and then finally leaves.  (13 min)

Larry Morton calls in the TV champion ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston and he tells Larry and the fans that he’s been on fire ever since winning the TV title.  Larry asks if he has any qualms about defending the title against his tag team partner Phat Sol.  Lucas says that this match is only ‘business’ and hopes Phat doesn’t take it too personally when he loses.

Clarkus calls in the Crocodile Hunter for his interview.  Croc says he’s waited longer and more patiently than any other person on the roster.  When he agreed to early on to fight the Savior but had to wait this long to do it, he wasn’t sure he could wait that long but the show is here now and he’ll show the fans that the wait is over and it’s time to dish out an ass-whopping.

Match #4 is ready to go.  Phat Sol makes his way out first and gets a decent pop from the crowd.  His tag team partner the TV Champion ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston comes out next and the fans love him.  Lucas poses with the belt for the fans and then makes his way to the center of the ring. He and Phat shake hands and once Lucas handed the title over, the match got underway but not before Max came out and said to make sure no one walks on a technicality, this match will be no DQ.  It didn’t take too long for tempers to flare at Phat struggled to keep up with Lucas and would throw in a cheap shot or two.  After getting dumped over the top rope, Lucas was about at the end of his rope.  He got back in the ring and connected with a DDT and then followed it up with forearm blasts.  Lucas made the cover and got the 3 count.  Lucas Johnston defeats Phat Sol to retain the TV title.  Lucas takes a couple of deep breaths and then extends his hand to Phat who shakes it and they leave together.  (14 min)

The Savior walks over when Clarkus invites him in.  The Savior states that he’s done everything in his power to try to save Croc but some people just aren’t worth saving so tonight, he gives Croc the fight of his life and once Croc taps out, the Savior will put him behind him and move on.

Larry Morton has Dr. Red Fang and Ant Graham with him.  Larry asks Fang if he could ask a question and Fang responds with “You have a question, ask that fool Terra Ryzing”.  Fang looks at Ant and says “I’ll bet Terra is back there punching keys on a stupid keyboard.  I’d love to punch him in the face.”  Graham tells him he will get that oppoturnity momentarily but first, Graham wants to make an announcement and says that the people are looking at the next Hardcore Champion.  Fang smiles that evil smile of his and screams “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!”

It’s time for Match #5 to get underway and this one will be an ‘I Quit’ rules match meaning the only way this one ends is for the other to give up.  The Savior makes his way out first and the fans boo him.   He doesn’t care though.   Next, Crocodile Hunter makes his way out and the fans pop huge for him.  He motions that he’s going to break Savior who just stands there and laughs.  Max comes out and says this one is a long time in the making so he’s giving them no time limit to put this one to rest once and for all.  The ref explains the ‘I Quit’ rules for the participants and the fans and this one is underway.  Croc started off strong but eventually the Savior took over and controlled the match.  In what surprised most people, they almost never went for a submission; it was all to beat down and wear the other person out.  Towards the end, Savior tried to choke out Croc using the time keepers bell but Croc turned it into an ankle lock.  Croc then dropped a flying knee to the back of the Savior.  Croc then locked in a spine bending Gator Crab right in the middle of the ring and try as he could, the Savior just couldn’t reach the ropes.  Showing intestinal fortitude, he tried to power out but Croc had it cinched in too well.  Finally, Croc tapped out as he couldn’t take the pain anymore.  The Crocodile Hunter wins this one much to the delight of the fans.  Croc looks at the Savior one final time and then leaves.  The Savior had to be helped from the ring.  (32 min)

Terra Ryzing is backstage and says he need no mouthpiece to speak for him.  He calls himself the ‘game’ and will show Fang how the game is really played.

Clarkus is backstage with Starr Vixen and she says that this is a moment she’s waited a lifetime for…main eventing a PPV against the Ladies Champion.  She’s honored she gets to be in this match and promises win, lose or draw, she will give it her all.

Match #6 is ready to begin.  Dr. Red Fang accompanied by Ant Graham, comes out first and is booed pretty heavily.  He snarls at the fans as he walks by. Next, Terra Ryzing comes out and the fans aren’t all that thrilled with him either.  It’s announced that this match will be a Thumbtack death match rules.  Terra looks on like ‘what the hell is that?’ and Fang smiles.

Fang went to town and practically destroyed Ryzing.  After about 8 minutes, all he did was toy with the man who’s supposed to sew “Terra” into his opponents.  Fang was more brutal in this outing than he’s been in the past.  At the 11 min mark, Ant threw his walking stick to Fang who blasted Terra with it and easily picked up the win.  Fang then got a bag of thumbtacks, spilled them on the mat and then bodyslammed Ryzing right on them.  He then nails another Transylvania piledriver and Ryzing is done.  Fang and Graham stand victorious with Fang holding his title high over his head.  The evil vampire and his manager then leave.

We’re about ready to head to our final match when Larry Morton brings in the Ladies Champion the Duchess.   Duchess says that the Queen is dead and gone.  The British Crippler let her down and now she’s gone too.   The Duchess looks down at the crown in her hands and she says she is ready for her match with Starr Vixen. The way Starr Vixen got to this level and then challenging the Duchess might make some people feel nervous but for the Duchess, it only adds to her excitement!  “Starr! Be prepared to sit at my feet and wipe the Crown and Title belt with your tears!”

It’s time for our MAIN EVENT!  Pyro goes off setting the stage for the final match of the evening.  Starr Vixen comes out first to a nice pop from the crowd.  She’s fought hard to get to this point and she’s ready.  Music changes and out comes The Duchess.  The Ladies Champion makes her way down to the ring and she and Starr lock eyes. This stare tells a different story of mutual respect and determination to win. The fans seem to be mixed on how to accept her.  She makes their minds up for them after getting on the mic and telling all the mindless sheep to sit down and shut it.  (How rude!)  Starr offers her hand but the Duchess ignores her.  The Duchess controlled the first few minutes of the match but after that, Starr began to kick it into higher gear.  The Ladies Champion tried to match her move for move but it began taking its toll on her.  Starr kept the pressure on and about 6 minutes in, the Duchess started to see things slipping away so she called on Lady Hermann to come down but she is stopped by Max and sent to the back.  In the meantime, Starr nailed the Duchess with a flying fivearm and went for the pin but the champ kicked out.  The longer the match went on, the more determined Starr became.  Starr began to choke the Duchess on the ropes, eye rake her and nail a vicious clothesline.  Just then, the former Queen Ms. Beckett ran in from the crowd and blew a powdery substance into her eyes blinding her.  Beckett took off through the crowd again before she could be seen.  Starr ran over and blasted the Duchess once again with the flying fivearm and made the cover.  The ref counted 1…2…3.  Starr Vixen has just defeated the Duchess to become the NEW LADIES CHAMPION!  (21 min)  The Duchess looks on in horror and screams “Noooooooooooooo” as the ref hands Starr the title.  The Duchess tried to complain but a couple of ‘suits’ from the back came out and escorted her from the ring.  Starr celebrated in the ring as balloons fell from the ceiling.  She made her way around the ring high-fiving the fans and then made her way up the ramp with her title held high.  With that, the show comes to an end.

Thanks for sticking with us over the last few days.  Things should start to settle down and we’ll get back into the swing of things once we return back to Phoenix.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #568 – PPV Zero Hour Day 2

Hello fans and welcome to day 2 of our PPV Zero Hour coming to you live from Denver, CO and on pay per view.

GM Max McGillicutty comes out to kick off the show thanking everyone for attending.  He goes on to state that the men’s battle royal tonight will crown a new Hardcore Champion.  Ant Graham and Dr. Red Fang interrupt him saying that Fang is getting screwed out of the belt.  Graham reminds Max that he said that if Fang didn’t win the battle royal, he’d get to face that person for the belt.  Max thanks Graham for reminding him and then tells the manager and his vampire to “GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!” to a HUGE pop from the crowd.  Graham and Fang storm off.  Max says he’s throwing in a wrench into one match…the Smashers vs Mason the Mangler and Ice Dagger.  Max says one of those teams will be out a job tonight.  MJ storms out saying how it’s not fair and Max doesn’t even acknowledge him and says that match kicks off right now!

Match #1:  The Smashers come out first and are booed.  Next, MJ comes out with Mason and Ice Dagger and they are equally booed.  Smasher #1 tells MJ he will rue the day he turned his back on them and promises to not only rid HCW of these two wannabees, but they’ll send MJ packing as well.  Not even 30 seconds in, MJ went to hit Smasher #2 but got caught by the ref and immediately disqualified.  Max comes back out and says this match cannot end this way so he says he’s restarting the match and this time it will be No DQ with Brawl Games rules!  The two teams fought tooth and nail but eventually the Smashers began to annihilate them even with MJ’s help.  They did manage to make the save quite a few times to avoid the loss.  Just as the clock was nearing the time limit, Ice Dagger managed to hit the Ice Breaker and he went for a pin only to have the clock run out.  This one ends in a draw.  Max comes out and says that since there was no pin or submission, neither team is out however, these two will meet again in the future.  (30 min)

Master Bull is backstage with Prestige Inc. (TNT, Bishop Ripley and Chic Monroe) and says that Raquel was victorious, Reid walked out with his title (Larry Morton tried to remind him that Reid lost by DQ but Bull told him to HUSH!), and tonight, Prestige Inc. will become the new 6 man trophy winners.  Bull promises a changing of the guard tonight.

Our next match is the battle royal.  Everyone not participating in a match tonight or tomorrow were invited to join.  This one went fast as over half the people were gone in the first 5 minutes of the match.  The numbers continued to whittle down.  Fang tried to hide on the outside of the ring but then Terra Ryzing saw him, dragged him back in and eliminated him.  Fang was not happy.  The reduction in participants continued until three men were left…Terra Ryzing, Pete the PUN-isher and Perfect Pecs Stoddard.  Pete tried to crack a few puns and got eliminated by both Terra and Pecs.  Pecs was all happy with himself and turned around only to get kicked in the gut and then hurled over the top rope.  Terra Ryzing wins the battle royal and will meet Dr. Red Fang for the Hardcore title.  Fang came back out and attacked Terra beating him down and nailing him with the Vampire Lunge multiple times.  Fang laughed manically standing over Terra until the refs came down and escorted Fang out of there.  Max stated that this match will take place tomorrow.  (30 min)

Backstage, the US Champion the Ragin’ Cajun Rad Gumbo stands with his manager MJ.  Gumbo that Wendell has no chance winning tonight as he and MJ have the perfect plan and they will be victorious.

Our next match begins and this one is for the 6 Man trophy.  Prestige Inc. (Chic Monroe, Bishop Ripley and TNT) come out with their manager Master Bull.   Bull says that tonight, his team takes home the trophy.  Next, the Snake Pit (Tobias, Leiton & Niven Snake) come out hauling the trophy behind them.  As soon as they entered the ring, Prestige attacked until the ref finally got control.  The match went on for only two minutes as Master Bull got caught hitting Leiton causing the DQ.  Max comes back out and says that he’s tired of managers causing DQ’s ruining his show.  He tells the ref to restart the match and make it a No DQ match and to play it safe, he extends the time limit to 45 minutes.  Prestige only needed a couple of minutes to get their act together and then took the match to the trophy holders.  Bishop stayed in early on and left when double teaming (or triple) went on.  TNT was kept on the outside of the ring except for the double/triple teaming (not sure why).  Chic Monroe spent the most time in the ring but that was because the Pit wouldn’t allow him to tag out.  Monroe got lucky and nailed Niven with a Cradle Facebuster and went for the pin but only got a one count.  Niven tagged out to Leiton who hopped the top rope only to eat a swiss uppercut from Chic.  TNT ran in and cleared Niven and Tobias from the ring.  Chic hooked the leg and the ref counted 1…2…3.  Chic Monroe pins Leiton Snake and Prestige Inc. are the NEW 6 Man trophy champions!  Master Bull joined his team in the ring and they celebrated before hauling the trophy to the back (they let TNT carry the thing!)  (15 min)

Clarkus Kentus is with Texas Wildfire and TW says that he and Drew the Canadian Love Machine had a HELL of a 5 match battle.  TW is gracious that Drew is giving him the title shot tonight and promises to bring his A-Game.

We head back to the ring for Ladies tag team action.  First, the twins Betsy and Felicia Cummings come out first and they are booed pretty heavily.  Southern Belle comes out next and gets a huge pop.  Her partner Scarlett Phoenix joins her and the fans welcome her with just as much enthusiasm.  The Cummings twins pace in the ring waiting for their opponents.  Belle and Scarlett join them in the ring and the action begins immediately.  Early on, Scarlett is being double teamed by the Cummings twins and they end up injuring her.  She was laid out on the floor for 5 minutes but Belle held her own.  As soon as Scarlett had recovered, Belle tagged her in and she beat the holy hell out of the twins.  Scarlett and Belle both went for the pin numerous times but the twins kept pulling one over on the ref and they managed to get away with it.  Belle even managed to go all ‘hulk’ on the twins but she just couldn’t get the pin.  At the 29 min mark, Belle connects with a victory roll on Felicia and the ref counts 1…2…but Betsy makes the last second save.  Betsy and Belle slug it out for the last 60 seconds of the match and the bell ring bringing this one to an end however neither team is ready to call it quits.  Belle hits Betsy with the Southern Swing and Scarlett hits Felicia with the Black Widow and finally the twins opted to leave.  The fans seemed to think this one was so far, probably one of the best matches of the night.  Scarlett and Belle left to the cheering from the fans.  (30 min draw).

Larry Morton is backstage with the World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  Drew tells us that his wife had just given birth to their first child and he’s the happiest guy in the world.  Drew puts over Texas Wildfire as one of the best competitors he’s ever faced.  Tonight, the fans get to see HCW’s elite in action.

It’s time for the next match and it’s for the US Championship.  First, the challenger Wendell Hammerschmidt comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, over the loudspeakers blares “Gumbo 7:30 says it’s suppa time BITCH!” and the Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo comes out holding his US title high and accompanied by his manager MJ.  The two head down to the ring and Gumbo poses some more before handing the title to the ref.  As expected, Wendell didn’t put up as much of a fight against Gumbo and the best he did was toss Rad out of the ring.  MJ sat back and watched in amazement as Gumbo dismantled Wendell finally finishing him off by locking in the Onion twist (Muta lock) and got Wendell to tap out.  Gumbo retains his title and stands victorious with MJ before departing.  (8 min)

GM Max McGillicutty comes out and the crowd pops.  Max says that the two best singles wrestlers will fight for the grand championship that is the World title.  Max introduces the challenger first and Texas Wildfire comes out to a huge pop.  He shakes Max’s hand and walks down to the ring.  The music changes and the World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes out and he too shakes the GM’s hand before heading to the ring.  Max says he wants an official end and makes this a no DQ match.  He poses on the 4 turnbuckles with the title before meeting TW in the center of the ring.  Drew hands over his title, shakes TW’s hand and the bell rings.  Drew looked fabulous in the ring and try as he might, Wildfire just couldn’t get much going.  Drew kept reversing and nullifying a lot of TW’s moves and you could tell the frustration was mounting.  At one point, TW threw Drew forcibly out of the ring and the champ wasn’t all that happy with it.  He got back in the ring and continued his domination.  We join the match in the final few minutes:

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #567 – Zero Hour PPV Day 1

Hello fans and welcome to HCW’s Zero Hour Pay Per View Live from Denver, Colorado.  We are here in front of a packed crowd and they are literally hanging from the rafters.  Today’s show will feature 3 title matches with some of the best performers in the business.    In pre-show news, one person has not shown up yet for the event and that is the Hardcore Champion the Stache.  He called Max early in the day saying that the reshoots he had to do in Hollywood ran longer than expected but he will be there tonight with a major announcement.

The first match gets ready to get underway and pyro goes off kicking off our 3 day event.  The fans here are excited to see the action of the night.   Kicking things off, Prestige Inc. member Ravishing Raquel comes out accompanied by Master Bull to a pretty negative reaction from the crowd (yet a couple of days ago, the line of people waiting for her autograph was pretty damn long).  She gets into the ring and Master Bull tells the fans to ‘shut their Rocky Mountain Oyster holes’.  Next, El Gato Negro comes out and she gets a loud pop from the crowd.  She gets in the ring and Master Bull exits and the match begins.

Raquel started off like a firecracker but then El Gato took control of the match.  El Gato controlled the pace for the first few minutes until a break was needed when Raquel left the ring to confer with Master Bull who pointed out El Gato’s weakness.  El Gato hit the Tailspin on Raquel but Raquel rolled her up in a ball and scored a three count (thanks to her foot on the ropes).  Ravishing Raquel steals a win in our first match of the night.  Raquel and Master Bull leave and Bull yells at the crowd “One down, two to go baby!”  (5 min)

The Super Shockmaster is backstage with Larry Morton and he tells the world that tonight Adam Jameson becomes ‘just another victim’ and will fall to the power and might of the Super Shockmaster.  After the destruction of Jameson, SS says he’ll set his sights once again on taking on gold.

We head back to the ring for our second match which is the Ladies Battle Royal.  It was then announced that the winner of the match would win a “Money in the Bank” contract for a future title shot.  All of the ladies on the roster will be in this except for the Duchess and her opponent Starr Vixen.  The ladies all came out one by one and the last two in the ring were the competitors from our last match El Gato and Ravishing Raquel.  El Gato got a bit of revenge against Raquel when she assisted in getting her eliminated but she went right after.  They all went one by one until Southern Belle and Taylor Bella were the last two ladies standing.  Just then, the new manager Figaroa ‘Figgy’ Newton comes out and makes his way to the ring.  He gives ‘thumbs up’ to the ladies.  He has his megaphone and starts yelling into it.  Belle and Taylor barely got started when Taylor hit a devastating dropkick on Belle that sent her flying over the top rope and right to the floor.  Taylor Bella wins the match and is handed the briefcase with the contract inside.  Figgy joins her in the ring and raises her arm in victory.  Well, I guess we know at least one person he’s managing.  Taylor will have two months to cash it in.  (30 min)

Backstage, Dr. Red Fang and his manager Ant Graham are being interviewed by Clarkus Kentus.  “Vampire Lunges for EVERYONE!” Fang exclaims.  Graham says that the Stache better be here on time for his match or he’ll demand he be stripped of the title and it awarded to Fang by default.  Clarkus assures us the Stache will be here tonight.

We head back to the ring for the next match.  Adam Jameson comes out first and gets a loud pop from the crowd.  Next, the Super Shockmaster comes out and says that he will destroy Jameson and send him home in a pine box.  The referee announces that the match will be ECW Rules and SS immediately attacks AJ with a kendo stick.  For 5 minutes, SS beat the tar out of Adam but then Adam turned the tables (literally) on SS and destroyed SS smashing him with steel chairs, ladders and whatever else he could find including a DVD player.  Adam took weeks of frustration out on SS but he never went for a pin only wanting to inflict as much damage as he could.  SS finally decided he’d had enough after securing a metal plate to the front of his helmet, he hit Adam multiple times with a power headbutt busting Adam back open.  He did it over and over until Adam’s face was a crimson mask.  SS then dropped Adam to the mat and then stood over him and put one foot on him.  The ref made the count and got to three.  Super Shockmaster gets the win in a very bloody (on Adam’s part) match.  SS laughs as he leaves the ring.  Medics had to come out and take Adam away on a stretcher.  (19 min)

In from outside comes the Hardcore Champion the Stache.  He meets up with GM Max McGillicutty.  Max asks why he’s not ready for his match and Stache replies that he didn’t get everything done he needed to for his reshoots and says he can’t afford to take on any damage this match may put him through and says that as much as he regrets what he has to do, he can no longer defend the Hardcore title. He drops the belt on the floor at Max’s feet and leaves.  Max, stunned, looks for a filler match and sees Biceps Bannerman, the Fiend and ScooterJ and orders them all to the ring now for an impromptu match.

One by one, Bannerman, the Fiend and ScooterJ all make their way to the ring.  It is announced that this will be a triple threat match.  The bell rings and Bannerman just starts to destroy everyone.  ScooterJ let Biceps take on the Fiend first.  Bannerman owned the first few minutes but then the Fiend took over.  His run was very short lived as ScooterJ came in and took out the Fiend and then continued the beatdown on Bannerman.  The Fiend recovered enough to get in and he and ScooterJ hit Biceps with a double dropkick.  The Fiend gets thrown out of the ring again.  Biceps goes for a spinebuster but ScooterJ reverses it and catches Biceps with a short arm clothesline.  He immediately rolled Biceps up and got the 1-2-3.  ScooterJ gets the win at the 17:40 mark.  Each person left the ring separately.

Backstage, Ant Graham and Dr. Red Fang get into Max’s face and say that since the Stache no-showed his match, the belt should automatically be awarded to the evil vampire by default.  Max said that there was no way he was just giving the title to anyone.  Max said that the tournament tomorrow will now be for the Hardcore title with the winner walking out the champ.  Fang began to complain and Graham interceded on his behalf saying that Fang should still get a shot at the belt.  Max says that if Dr. Red Fang doesn’t win the tournament, he will face off against the winner of the tournament and that person will be crowned the new champion.  Graham and Fang walk off in a huff.

Larry Morton is in the interview area with CJ.  CJ says that after all the crap that Reid’s been spouting, it’s time for him to teach him a lesson.  Tonight, CJ takes the Elitist title and says that if he wants to wipe his ass with it, he will.

Clarkus Kentus is backstage with Master Bull, Reid Rothchild and the other members of Prestige Inc.  Reid tells everyone that there is no way in hell that CJ is putting his nasty ass hands on HIS belt.  Master Bull promises Reid walks out with his title intact.

CJ’s music hits and he makes his way out to the ring to a pretty loud pop from the crowd.  Reid Rothchild comes out next accompanied by Prestige Inc., Master Bull and his wife Ravishing Raquel.  Raquel gives him a quick kiss for good luck.  Bull and Reid head down to the ring.  Reid gets in the ring and showboats with his title.  CJ motions that he will use that belt as toilet paper.  Reid goes right on the offensive but CJ was just that much faster.  It seemed that Reid just couldn’t catch up and so he motioned to Prestige Inc. and they hit the ring attacking CJ causing the DQ.  CJ gets the DQ win but that wasn’t much consolation as the numbers were just too great and Reid, TNT, Bishop and Chic Monroe beat down CJ until ‘suits’ from the back came out but by then, it was too late.  The damage had been done.  Reid had set up CJ’s ankle in a chair and then he jumped off the second turnbuckle onto the chair seemingly breaking CJ’s ankle.  Reid and Prestige Inc. w/ Master Bull celebrated while CJ was hauled off on a stretcher as there was no way he was walking after that.  (4 ½ min for the match; 5 min for the aftermath)

We cut backstage again where the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) are with Clarkus Kentus.  They tell Clarkus that things HAVE to change around here that begins with them taking the tag titles back.  Starbuck says that their suspension was totally uncalled for and that they will whatever it takes to get their belts back.  Buzz says that their time is NOW and history will remember them; not little Petey.

Larry Morton is backstage with the Ambassador and the World Tag Team Champs Pete the PUN-isher and ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone.  Pete tries to drop some bad puns but Magnum stops him and says that all the people need to know is that he has no plans on getting his shoulders pinned to the mat.  Pete glares at him for interrupting him and the segment ends much to Pete’s chagrin.

It’s time for our Main Event.  First, the Steel Curtain come out and they get one of the loudest pops of the night.   Their music is cut off as Pete storms out followed by the Ambassador and Magnum Kone.  Pete yells at the Curtain from the outside but as the Curtain make a move against him, Pete backs off.  Finally the match gets underway.  Right off the bat, the Steel Curtain beat down Pete injuring him but hurled him into Magnum who fell off the ring and landed hard on the steps.  Buzz nails Pete with the Buzzcut and tags Starbuck in who hits the 4 TB’s.  Starbuck follows it up with the Starplex (slingshot suplex).  Magnum tries to make it back up but Pete is hurled into their corner and he collides with Magnum who falls off the ring again injured.  For the next few minutes, Buzz and Starbuck tag in and out keeping Pete on the defensive.  The Ambassador got frustrated and smashed his cane against Buzz’s head.  Pete went for the pin but Buzz kicked out at the last moment. Starbuck gets in and eats the PUN-ctuation from Pete but hits him with the 4 TB’s and then rolls him up in a small package (hooking the tights).  He goes for the pin but Pete kicks out at two.  Finally, after 11 minutes, Magnum finally recovered and tagged himself in.  He hits Buzz with the drumstick but eats a flying knee smash.  A groggy Pete struggles to stand and Magnum tags him back in.  Pete is flabbergasted.   Buzz set him up and nails the Buzzkill.  Magnum looks on and then turns and leaves.  Buzz makes the cover and the count goes 1…2…3.  The Steel Curtain get the win and are the NEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!  (13 min)  The Ambassador grabs Pete and they leave as the Curtain celebrates in the ring before leaving.

With that, Day one has come to an end.  Stick around…Day 2 is up next.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #566 – FANFEST/Hall of Fame ceremony

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  This is basically a recap of the fanfest and hall of fame ceremony that took place at the event.

The entire roster was in attendance at the fan fest and it looked like those with the longest lines included World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine, Texas Wildfire, Crocodile Hunter and the Steel Curtain,   As expected, the ones with the shortest lines included Pete the Pun-isher (who sat separately from his tag team partner Magnum Kone), and Handsome Hernandez (he kept spouting about how he was underutilized and that any other federation would LOVE to have him.  After about an hour of his drunken rant, Hernandez was removed from the event.

Also to note, the Stache left the show early.  Apparently he had to go back to Hollywood to do some reshoots.  He promised Max he’d be back in time to defend the Hardcore title on Friday.  His fans were sad.

An addition was made to the HCW family in the way of a new manager.  Figaroa ‘Figgy’ Newton was hired on to manage some of the performers.  It is not yet known who he will manage.  We know very little about him other than the fact that he is LOUD.  You could hear him clear on the other side of the room.  (Editor’s note:  Figgy had his own table and actually had more people show up there than Pete the Pun-isher had at his table).

Master Bull and all of Prestige Inc. were there including the Elitist Reid Rothchild, Ravishing Raquel, TNT, Chic Monroe and Bishop Ripley.  Surprisingly they had a decent turn out in their section.  Master Bull spoke to the fans saying “Good Luck Snake Shit…er I mean Pit.  Prestige Inc. is the dominant force in all of HCW and each one of us will be victorious in our matches…guaranteed.”

After the fanfest had ended, everyone filed into the main room where Max McGillicutty announced the latest addition to the HCW Hall of Fame – the Masked Gentleman.  For the new readers to this newsletter, MG was a character who (in real life) passed away and HCW honored his contribution to professional wrestling by adding him to the Hall of Fame.  The crowd gave a standing ovation.

After the ceremony ended, Max then put up on the Omegatron the lineup for this weekend’s card:

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #565

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  We have finally entered the final week leading up to our PPV Zero Hour emanating from Denver, Colorado.  Preceding that will be our fanfest and hall of fame addition.

Kicking off the event, the Six Man Trophy holders the Snake Pit accept the challenge from Prestige Inc. for a match at the PPV and the trophy will be on the line.  Prestige Inc. was dominant in their first match.  Can they pull it off again?

Our first match of the night starts with Hangman #3 coming out to booing from the crowd.  His opponent Outback Oscar comes out next to a huge pop from the crowd.  Oscar was taken off his game after being on the receiving end of a (illegally) loaded (in his mask) headbutt.  Hangman #3 then took the rest of the right to Oscar and after connecting with an elbow bash, #3 then rolled Oscar up and got the 1-2-3.  Hangman #3 gets win and parades while the fans boo him. (13 min)

There is a commotion backstage and it seems that the World Tag Team Champions Pete the PUN-isher and Magnum Kone (well, mostly Pete) have come to blows with their opponents Buzz and Starbuck Steel – the Steel Curtain.  GM Max McGillicutty and others had to run in and break it up.  It was determined that Pete was the one who instigated it and was told to leave the building.  Max almost made the decision to NOT let Pete show up at the fanfest as a PUN-ishment to his behavior but changed his mind thinking that it would be  PUN-ishment enough if fans didn’t want his autograph and he’d sit there all by his lonesome.

The Steel Curtain went down to the ring and said that this attack has gotten them all riled up and they wanted a fight tonight.  The Ryzing Storm (Travis and Terra) came out to accept the challenge.  Terra stated that if they beat the Curtain tonight, they were taking their PPV title shot.  Early and constant double teaming from the Ryzing Storm kept the Curtain on the defensive and things didn’t exactly get better when Pete the PUN-isher came out.  However, Pete’s potential interference was curbed when the Curtain’s friend and ally Biceps Bannerman came out practically scaring the crap out of Pete.  Pete took off and that allowed the Curtain to get back to business and then easily defeated the Storm after Starbuck hit Travis with the ‘Around the World’ (bounced his head off of each turnbuckle) and got the pin.  The Curtain retain their spot and are ready for the Tag Champs. (14 min)

Back in Max’s office, the Super Shockmaster is there and says he’ll sign the contract and agree to the match against Adam Jameson at the PPV but only if the stipulation of “ECW Rules” is added.  Max says that AJ agreed to that (open to any stipulation to get the match) and SS signs the contract and says that AJ’s time in HCW is at an end.  He laughs behind his Stormtrooper mask.

The next match on the card is a former Queen taking on her former Court teammate.  Ms Beckett heads to the ring first and is eventually followed out by Lady Hermann.  Beckett held her own and thwarted many attempts by her ladyship to throw her out of the ring.  Finally, Beckett hurled Hermann out of the ring, followed her out and dropped her with the Knight Rider.  Beckett rolls back in beating the 10 count and wins this one my countout decision.  Ladies Champion the Duchess comes out and stares at her but then leaves.  (7 ½ min)

The Savior is backstage and says he’s heard that Wendell Hammerschmidt is in line for a title HE used to own and how he was never given a rematch.  He says he wants Wendell in the ring tonight and once he wins, he will take that title shot too.  Savior is reminded that he has a match against Crocodile Hunter and Savior says he’s open to wrestling twice on the show to show how good he is.

The next match kicks off with Madame Jade making her way down to the ring.  She is followed out by Starr Vixen who gets a huge pop from the crowd.  For 11 minutes, Jade dominated the match but after attempting a flying dropkick from the top rope and missing, the tide turned in favor of Starr Vixen.  Vixen then dominated the match and kept Jade on the defensive for most of the match.  The clock then starts to wind down and we’re running out of time.  Jade would not stay down for a three count.  Jade attempted a Jade Breaker but Starr hit her with an elbow to the throat.  Just as that was going on, Taylor Bella ran down and hid from view.  When Starr made the cover, Jade’s foot was close enough to the ropes but Taylor reached in and held it down preventing Jade from kicking out.  Starr Vixen wins the match with seconds to spare.  Taylor then slides in the ring and attacks Jade.  Ravishing Ruby Princess runs down and joins in the melee.  These three are not on the card but the match may be added to the Fanfest.  We’ll have to wait and see.

The US champion ‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo is backstage and says he’ll be at ringside to scout the match between Wendell and the Savior.

We go back to the ring for 6 man tag team action.  The 5th Column (Baron von Blood, Oswald Zimmerman and Karl Braun) all make their way to the ring first to booing from the fans.  Next, the Muscles Trio comes out and they’re acting all goofy wearing their rainbow colored bull horns and handing out mini boxes of cereal with their likenesses on them to the fans in hopes of winning them over.  Both teams held the advantage over the other back and forth during the match but it wasn’t till the end that the Muscles Trio began to shine.  After taking out both the Baron and Oswald, Muscles Thorpe hit Karl Braun with the Muscles Crush and got the 3 count.  The Muscles Trio get the win but they still haven’t won the fans over.  They end up leaving to a mixed reaction.  (27 min)

Backstage, the Axe is pacing and complains to anyone walking by that he’s not being given a chance to wrestle.   Crocodile Hunter walks by and says he’ll take him up on that.  I guess the Axe wasn’t exactly expecting someone to take him up on the challenge.

The Savior makes his way out first to booing from the fans.  Next, Wendell Hammerschimidt comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Max comes out and says that Wendell has already signed the contract so he tells the Savior that if he wants this match, he has to get a win in 10 minutes or less.  If he does not, Wendell keeps the match at the PPV.  The match was nothing short of an ass-kicking…by the Savior.  He totally owned Wendell but nothing he could do would keep him down for the 3 count.  Just as the time limit was going to run out, the Savior hits Wendell with a brain buster hoping that would do the trick but just then, the Crocodile Hunter appeared on stage and that distracted the Savior for one second too long and the time limit expired. Wendell Hammerschimidt retains the spot.  The Savior takes off to go after Croc.  Rad gets in the ring and shakes hands with Wendell before hitting him with a low blow and then locking in the Onion twist.  Wendell screams and is tapping out but Rad won’t let go.  Finally he does and stares at his PPV opponent before walking away in disgust.  (10 min for the match; 5 min for the aftermath)

Backstage, the Savior can’t find Croc so he storms out of the building, gets into his car and leaves.

It’s time for the main event.  The Axe comes out first and is booed pretty heavily.  Crocodile Hunter comes out next and gets the loudest pop of the night.  The fight never takes place in the ring as the Axe drags Croc from the ring and fights all the way to the back.  Uh, Oh, I think it’s a set up.  Yep, the Savior is there waiting and he jumps in and beats down on Croc.  Once sufficiently subdued, Savior hands a wad of cash to the Axe who then leaves.  As the Savior turns around, he notices Croc is gone.  He looks around frantically and then screams in frustration as the show comes to an end.

The Fanfest / Hall of Fame ceremony is next and then this weekend, it’s PPV time!

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #564

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Things are shaping up really well for our PPV and we know that you, the fans, will totally enjoy the show.

Before the show can kick off, Master Bull, the Elitist Reid Rothchild, Ravishing Raquel, Bishop Ripley and Superstar Chic Monroe all make their way out to the ring.  Master Bull takes the mic and announces that tonight, they will add the final member of Prestige Inc and they will once again dominate the sport.  Bull’s little spiel gets cut short when Turnip makes his way out and the fans pop huge.  Prestige Inc. look on and really look perturbed at the interruption. Turnip walks over and forcibly takes the mic from Bull glaring at him.  Turnip speaks.  “Before my transformation, I had a match against this man – Reid Rothchild – for the Elitist title and he showed me I wasn’t in his league.  I left and after months of hard work, I am now the specimen you see before you.  However, knowing that my old family will always be gunning for me, I made the decision to take Master Bull’s offer and JOIN Prestige Inc.”  The fans do not like that announcement and start to boo him.  Turnip hands the mic back to Bull.  “For all you morons who don’t get it, Turnip is gone.  Feast your eyes on Templeton Nathaniel Townsend or TNT as he will be known as moving forward.  Turnip is Dead…long live TNT!”  TNT poses with Reid and Bull much to the chagrin of the fans.

They are then interrupted by the Huber’s who came out to issue a challenge to Prestige Inc.  TNT looks to Master Bull who nods and says that they win, they get the shot against the Snake Pit for the trophy.  The Huber’s accept.  A ref makes his way out and that match begins now.

Ferb, Junior and Butch get in the ring and call Prestige Inc. to join them.  Reid goes to sit at commentary with his wife Ravishing Raquel.  Prestige Inc. gets in the ring.  The Hubers beat down on Chic and Bishop but it wasn’t until TNT got in the ring that things changed.  The team then became one and with Master Bull’s help, began to destroy the Huber’s.  Finally, we got a showdown again between Junior and TNT and both men slugged it out and ended up on the outside of the ring again.  TNT ran Junior into the post and then picked him up asking Reid and Raquel to move.  He then POWERBOMBED Junior through the announcer’s table.  He rolled back in beating the 10 count.  Prestige Inc are victorious in their first outing as a team and now get to go on to meet the Snake Pit for the 6 Man Trophy.  Bull led the team away without any further incident.  (16 ½ min)

Larry Morton is backstage with TV Champion ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston and asks if he’s ready to take on his partner Phat Sol.  Lucas says that he is prepared and he knows Phat better than anyone.  He will be ready.

We’re ready for our next match and as Adam Jameson makes his way out, he gets a small pop.  CJ comes out next and receives a much stronger pop from the fans.  CJ owned the match but looked to be in jeopardy after Adam connected with a gut buster but somehow CJ was able to immediately lock in a guillotine choke and Adam had no choice but to tap out.  CJ gets the win but it is short lived as Reid Rothchild ran in from the crowd attacking CJ while the Super Shockmaster ran (as best he could) down and attacked AJ.  Super Shockmaster headbutted AJ till he was bleeding and Reid dropped CJ with a Rothchild Stunner.  Both men stood over their PPV opponents keeping an eye on each other.  Both men eventually left.  (4 min for the match; 5 additional for the post-match segment.)

Back in GM Max McGillicutty’s office, King Wilber sits on one side of a table and Sonic Blade sits on the other.  Max presents them with the contract.  Sonic signs it first and Wilber takes it but before he signed it, he had this to say:  “He's got the whole world in his hands. You know, people don't usually believe in things that they cannot see, in things they cannot touch. It is human nature, after all.  I mean, how can you possibly miss this billboard and infomercials being shoved down your throat every day? We see you. But what I was wondering was have you ever taken the time, Sonic, to see me for what I really am. I am the way into the City of Woe. I am the way into eternal pain. I am the way to go among the laws beyond time, I stand. I wanted to ask you, Sonic. What could you possibly do to harm somebody that just can't feel?   Run.”  He signs the contract and then laughs maniacally.

Match #3 is ready to begin.  First, Ravishing Ruby Princess comes out and she gets a decent pop.  Taylor Bella comes out next and her reaction is mixed.  Taylor goes right on the offensive connecting with a face plant.  Ruby reaches up and locks in the Ravishing Rubywing and she gets Taylor to tap out almost immediately.  Ruby gets the super quick win in just 1 minute.  Taylor’s (some time) tag team partner Madame Jade comes out and attacks Ruby dropping her with a vicious forearm smash.  She turns to Taylor and blasts her too.  Jade kicks both women out of the ring and stands victorious.  Ruby and Taylor each grab a mic and say they want Jade in a match at the PPV.  Max comes out and says, time permitting, he will put the three of them in a triple threat match.  If they can’t work it in to the PPV, it will be the main event for the following show.

Dr. Red Fang is backstage with his manager Ant Graham and says that the attack by the Stache was unprofessional and totally uncalled for (but his attacks aren’t?).  He demands that the Stache defend the title in a ‘falls count anywhere’ match and finishes off with “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE!”

Match #4:  Biceps Bannerman vs the Fiend.  Bannerman comes out first and he is (understandably) pissed that he lost his match at the PPV and wanted to take his frustrations out on someone.  The Fiend came out saying he’d step up to the challenge but Bannerman warned him he is in a foul mood.  The Fiend said that when he wins, Bannerman will be worse off.   Bannerman continued to struggle in the match with the Fiend taking him to town.  After a few minutes of not doing much in the way of any offense, he slid out of the ring and the Fiend followed him.  Mistake.  Bannerman charged hitting the Fiend with a tackle that sent him crashing into the ringside barrier.  Bannerman continued to stomp on him until he rolled back in the ring at the last minute beating the 10 count.  Biceps gets the win via countout but the fans boo him anyway.  He turns and leaves.  (7 ½ min)

The Smashers (1 & 2) are backstage and they say that MJ dropping them was the worst thing he could do.  They promised to destroy Ice Dagger and Mason the Mangler at the PPV and once they’re done with them, they will turn their attention to MJ.

Match #5 is ready to get underway with tag team action.  The Desperados vs Ice Dagger & Mason the Mangler.  Ice Dagger, Mason and MJ all make their way to the ring first and they are booed.  Next, the Desperados (El Chango & Leon Teremoto) come out and by default, they get a pop but they are not on the fan’s list of favorites for sure.  El Chango and Leon did extremely well nullifying MJ’s interference and with a couple of minutes of double teaming, had control of the match.  The end came after El Chango hit the ropes, jumped up to the top turnbuckle and then nailed a shooting star press (HOLY SHIT chants rang out) right onto Ice Dagger.  He scored the 3 count pretty easily and the Desperados rack up another win.  (6 min)  Just as they were leaving, the Smashers ran in from the crowd and attack Ice Dagger and Mason beating them down.  They then chased MJ all the way to the back.

Walking backstage, Southern Belle is attacked by the twins Felicia and Betsy Cummings.  The attack doesn’t go on for long as Scarlett Phoenix, who was nearby, saw the attack and came to Belle’s aid.  Belle, then challenged the twins to a match at the PPV.  Felicia mocked her saying she didn’t have a tag team partner but Scarlett spoke up and said she’s be in Belle’s corner.  The twins then backed away.

It’s time for our main event.  This is the final match of our best of 5 between Texas Wildfire and the World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  Texas Wildfire comes out to a huge pop and when Drew came out, it was about equal.  The two shook hands in the ring and then gave it their all.  Drew was the slightly more aggressive of the two but TW gave as good as he could get.  TW thought he had it locked up after connecting with a leaping DDT but somehow Drew kicked out at the very last moment.  TW was shocked.  TW went for the hangman’s clotheline but Drew reversed it and hit a corkscrew pescado.  Drew hooked the leg and got the 1-2-3.  Drew the Canadian Love Machine wins the best of 5.  (12 min)  Texas Wildfire was disappointed.  Drew takes a mic and says that TW has been one of if not the toughest competitor he’s faced and says that regardless of how this match turned out, he was still going to defend the World title against TW at the PPV.  The fans pop huge as the two men shake hands and the show comes to an end.

There is only one more show before the PPV and then we’ll host the Fan Fest and Hall of Fame ceremony and then we’re on to the PPV.  Hang tight…we’re almost there.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #563

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Things have really picked up steam in the last couple of shows and we expect tonight to really be no different.

The show begins with someone we don’t recognize walking backstage.  The guy is pretty buff and…hang on a minute…wait a second…HELL, that’s Turnip!  HOLY COW…what the hell happened to him?  He’s gone through a transformation and now he looks like a bodybuilder.  Turnip approaches his cousins the Hubers.  Junior turns to look at him and says “well now, lookee at who’s been hitting the gym.”  The Hubers laugh at Turnip.  Turnip says that the Huber clan will no longer pick on him.  Junior guffaws and asks his family if they should take ol’ Turnip behind the woodshed and teach him some manners.  He turns around only to get sent crashing to the floor from ONE PUNCH from Turnip.  “I’ll see you in the ring” Turnip says as he walks away.  The Hubers look astonished.

Our first match of the evening starts with Betsy Cummings making her way out to the ring amidst a chorus of boos.  Southern Belle makes her way out and she surprisingly gets a huge reaction from the crowd tonight.   Betsy, the hometown girl, gets upset and attacks Belle.  For 8 minutes, Belle held her own but then, what appeared to be Betsy’s twin sister Felicia snuck out from under the ring and traded places with Betsy and being the fresh wrestler, took the fight to Belle but Belle refused to give up.  Just as the match was winding down, Betsy got back in the ring and Felicia hopped the ringside barrier and crouched down as not to be seen.  With one last surge, Belle hit a flying bodypress and tried to make the cover but the bell rang bringing this one to a time limit draw.  Belle quickly left the ring happy to have survived this one just as Felicia got back in the ring.  The twins tried to complain to the ref but it fell on deaf ears.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, Phat Sol sees Biceps Bannerman and issues him a challenge for his spot for the TV title against his tag team partner and TV champion Red Hot Lucas Johnston.  Biceps snorts at the challenge and accepts saying the hospital bill will be on Phat.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Taylor Bella makes her way out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  She gets on the mic and questions why she hasn’t been used as of late.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and acknowledges the lack of air time/in ring competition and says she can choose whomever she wants to face EXCEPT the Ladies Champion the Duchess.  Taylor thinks about it for a moment and then calls out Ravishing Ruby Princess.  Ruby makes her way out to a mixed reaction and she slides under the ring rope to enter the ring.  Taylor dominated the match but nothing she did would keep Ruby down for a 3 count.  The longer the match went on and Ruby took the beating, the more the fans got behind her.  By the time the match was almost over, the fans were practically cheering loudly for Ruby.  Taylor, getting desperate that the time was about to run out, connected with a monkey flip and hooked the tights for a 1…and the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish.  Taylor got upset and yelled at the ref to restart the match but he refused.  Taylor then attacked Ruby beating her down until Ruby started to “hulk up”.  Taylor kept hitting her but Ruby started shaking.  One last shot from Taylor was met by a finger point in Taylor’s face and Ruby’s eyes having gone all wide.  Taylor, not sure what was going to happen next, bailed out of the ring.  Taylor, still wide eyed, started to chase her and the two ran to the back.  (20 min draw)

The US Champion ‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo arrives and walks into Max’s office.  He says he wants a piece of the action and demands a match but will not put the US title on the line.  Max says ‘fine’ and tells him he gets to take on everyone’s least favorite vampire bot Dr. Red Fang. The color drains from Rad’s face as Max escorts him out of his office.

Phat Sol comes out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Biceps Bannerman comes out next and the one-time fan favorite is now booed.  He gets in the ring and is basically twice the size of Phat.  This Davey vs Goliath story starts off with Biceps trying to use his power to beat Phat down but Phat (still a bigger guy) used his speed to keep out of Biceps’ reach.  In fact, Phat stayed just out of reach until the bigger man started to run out of steam.  Biceps had slowed down considerably and Phat did something no one though he could … he bodyslammed the big man.  Even Biceps was astonished and that astonishment ‘blinded’ him for 3 coveted seconds and Phat gets the win.  Phat Sol will now challenge his tag team partner for the TV title.   The crowd popped as ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston came out and questioned what was going on.  Phat said that as much as he respects Lucas, it’s time for him to shine.  Phat leaves the ring with Lucas staring on.  (12 min)

Backstage, Ravishing Ruby Princess approached GM Max and requests a rematch against Taylor Bella at the next show.  Max agrees to it.

The show is interrupted when Master Bull and ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild make their way out accompanied by Prestige Inc. member Bishop Ripley.  Master Bull gets on the mic but it takes a moment for him to get a word in as the fans don’t really care what he has to say.  Bull says that Reid is going to announce the 2nd member to the team.  Reid take the mic but first says that this person also will have to go through the passage of initiation.  Reid calls down Niven Snake and tells him he gets to be the sounding board for who will be the next member of the team.  Music hits and out comes ‘Superstar’ Chic Monroe.  Monroe walks by Niven Snake and shakes hands with Bull, Reid and Bishop and tells them they made the right choice.  Bull, Reid and Bishop all leave the ring so Chic can have his match.

Chic Monroe vs Niven Snake:  There was no question.  Right off the bat, Chic hit Niven with a straight jacket suplex dropping Niven right on his head.  Chic made the cover right away and got the 3 count.  The match didn’t even get 30 seconds in.  Chic is joined by the other members of Prestige Inc. and they all celebrate in the ring.  Reid says “2 down and one more to go” before they all leave (all the after match stuff took longer than the actual match itself).

Max is back in his office and says that at the PPV, there will be men’s battle royal.  He says that with the exception of someone holding a title, the battle royal will be for everyone.

Out in the parking area, Mountain Man Junior Huber is pacing like an animal after getting knocked to the ground by Turnip and he is just getting more and more irritated.  He walks over to a car and FLIPS it on to it’s side.  The car’s alarm goes off but he just heads back inside.

Our fifth match of the evening starts with Mountain Man Junior Huber making his way to the ring and he is pissed.  He looks ready to tear someone limb from limb.  Next, Turnip comes out and the fans go insane.  He gets the loudest pop of the night.  Turnip gets in the ring and Junior looks like a rabid dog but Turnip will not back down.  The two of them begin slugging it out and didn’t stop for almost 8 minutes.  During their brawl, Turnip and Junior ended up on the outside of the ring.  The ref began the count.  Junior tried to hurl Turnip into the ringpost but Turnip reversed it and clotheslined the big man.  He then picked up Junior and POWERBOMBED him right through the announcers table.  HOLY SHIT chants rang out.  Turnip rolled back in just before the ref got to 10.  Junior ends up getting counted out.  Turnip is back with a vengeance!  He leaves to a tremendous pop from the crowd.  (8 min)

Max makes one final appearance and says that Texas Wildfire has passed all the tests and is ready for the 5th and final battle against Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  That match happens at the next show.

It is time for our MAIN EVENT.  Dr. Red Fang, accompanied by his manager Ant Graham, comes out first.   He is booed because no one really likes a vampire bot.  “Gumbo 7:30 says it’s suppa time bitch” blares over the loudspeakers and the US champion Rad Gumbo and his manager MJ make their way out and down to the ring.   Fang goes right on the offensive but Gumbo was waiting for him.  Gumbo handled the evil Dr with lots of help from his manager.  Ant Graham tried to complain but the ref totally ignored him.  Finally, Gumbo got Fang in the Onion Lock (Muta lock) and Graham tried to complain once again and once again, he was ignored.  He then climbed in the ring and socked the ref bringing this one to a DQ finish.  Rad Gumbo gets the win.  All of a sudden, the Stache runs down and begins to beat down on Fang.  He socks Ant Graham once for good measure and Graham falls out of the ring to the floor.  Stache sets up Fang on the top turnbuckle and then connects with the Whiplash (snap suplex) from the top turnbuckle.  Fang is out and the Stache stands over him as the fans cheer and the show comes to an end.

We expect things to only become more interesting as time progresses so be sure to tune back in.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #562

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  The PPV continues to take shape and rivalries are heating up expecting to reach their boiling point just a few short weeks from now.

The show kicks off with Master Bull and ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild making their way out to the booing from the fans.  Master Bull takes the mic and tells the fat, out of shape hillbillies to sit down and shut their faces and let Reid talk.  Reid gets on the mic and says that tonight, right here, he will introduce the first member of the NEW Prestige Inc.  Reid then introduces…Bishop Ripley.   Ripley, who was thought to be a fan favorite, now gets the venomous treatment from the fans.  Ripley shakes hands with Bull and Reid and says it is an honor to be part of a team with the legacy that Prestige Inc. had.  Bull says that Ripley does have one final test and that is in a match right now.  Ripley says he’s ready.

Match #1:  Bishop Ripley w/Master Bull vs the Gold Standard Bruce Biltmore.  Ripley is in the ring as Reid and Bull make their way out.  Reid sits at commentary.  Bruce Biltmore gets a pop from the crowd and he soaks it in.  He gets in the ring but Ripley goes right on the offensive.  Bruce gains the upper hand and owns it for 9 minutes until Master Bull made his presence known and things went into Bishop’s favor.  Bull kept giving Bishop advice which seemed to make him all the more stronger.  Finally, after getting one last set of words of wisdom (and a foreign object), Bishop discretely nailed Bruce with it and went for the cover getting the 1-2-3.  Bishop Ripley gets the win and is welcomed into the Prestige Inc. family.  (13 min)

GM Max McGillicutty is back in his office and he says that he is announcing a Ladies’ Battle Royal for the PPV.  He also announces that the main event for all three shows will be the World Tag Team titles, the Ladies’ Title and the World Title.

Speaking of the Tag Team Champions, the Ambassador leads the champs Pete the PUN-isher and the King of Cones Magnum Kone out to the ring.  Pete gets on the mic and reiterates that he feels the Steel Curtain are washed-up nobodies deserving absolutely nothing.  Pete says he’s in a ‘mood’ and calls out the 5th Column.  Oswald Zimmerman and Baron von Blood come out and Pete tells them that they are in luck and that they will get a title shot tonight (he apparently didn’t run this buy either his manager or tag team partner).   Oswand and the Baron went down to the ring and entered.  The bell was then rung.

Match #2:  World Tag Team Title Match:  Pete the PUN-isher and Magnum Kone w/the Ambassador vs 5th Column members Baron von Blood and Oswald Zimmerman.  I guess Pete just opened his big mouth one too many times and the 5th Column practically destroyed the champs.  It didn’t help that the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) came out to watch the match standing on stage.  Magnum got left in the majority of the match and Pete only entered when it was ‘safe’ and he’d depart after hitting one move.  Finally, it came to the end and Oswald hit Magnum with the Flatliner but Pete ran in and hurled him out of the ring.  He followed him out and ran him into the steel post.  The ref reached 10 just as Pete rolled back in and Oswald gets counted out.  Pete and Magnum retain their belts with a countout win.  (8 min).  Buzz and Starbuck were already on their way down and Pete seeing Magnum was still out, bailed before the Curtain could get their hands on him.  Starbuck takes a mic and tells Pete that payback will be a bitch.  Buzz leans in and says ‘Word’.  Pete left on his own as the Ambassador helped Magnum from the ring.

Back in Max’s office, he tells Starr Vixen and Kimberly Kiccass that they fight tonight to see who will get a shot at the ladies title.  Kimberly says she never got her rematch for the belt but Max says that Starr has one of the best records in the division so this match will happen tonight.  Kimberly shoulders her way past Starr saying she’ll see her in the ring.  Starr says she’s ready.

Match #3:  The Super Shockmaster makes his way out as a deep bellowing laugh echoes through the speakers.  SS calls out Adam Jameson telling him not to wait for the PPV but to come ‘get some’.  Instead, the Fiend comes out to his Misfits theme song and the fans pop.  Super Shockmaster goes right on the offensive dominating the Fiend to the point where he was just toying with him.  The Fiend got in quite a few good licks but SS just battled back and overwhelmed his opponent.  SS then locked the Fiend up in the ropes and while the ref helped to free him, the Super Shockmaster climbed to the top rope showboating to the fans.  All of a sudden, Adam Jameson hopped the barrier and grabbing a steel chair on his way in, nailed SS in the knee and he fell crashing to the mat.  Adam took off before the ref could see him.  The Fiend then took the opportunity to lock in the Devil’s Lock (figure four) and SS ended up not getting his shoulders off the mat in time and he got pinned.  The Fiend gets the win and smirked at SS before leaving.  The Super Shockmaster then hollered for AJ to return but he never did.  The Super Shockmaster limped out of the ring and boy was he pissed.  (18 min)

The World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine is backstage and says that Texas Wildfire is a hell of a performer and is enjoying their best of series of matches.  He says tonight he evens it all back up and then they will go for the tie breaker.  Drew says that he’s ready.

Match #4:  Superquake Ferguson makes his way out to a mixed reaction.  Next, Talon McFrost comes out and surprisingly gets a pop.  Both men agree to a no DQ match just for the heck of it.  Talon bit off more than he could chew with taking on the Giant.  He also didn’t take into account that a ‘no DQ’ rule would surely draw out the Axe which it did.  Axe ended up attacking Talon dropping him with the Axe.  Ferguson then picked up Talon locking in a bearhug and when he didn’t submit, he dropped him to the mat with him on top squishing him.  Ferguson got the easy 3 count after that. (8 min)  Ferguson left the ring and Axe entered picking up Talon and hitting him with the Axe once again.  Axe stood over him and the fans booed.  Eventually both men left the ring.

Texas Wildfire is backstage and is pumped up.   He is just waiting on his cue and he’s ready to hit the ring.

Music hits as Match #5 is underway.   Texas Wildfire comes out first and the fans pop for him.  Next, the World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes out and his reaction is equal.  Both men get in the ring and shake hands.  Drew immediately dazzled TW with his speed and kept him on the defensive.  Finally he would battle back but Drew connected with a handstand headscissors taking TW off his feet but he landed right on his head.  Drew didn’t notice as he made the cover and got the (surprising to him) quick 1-2-3.  Drew celebrated but noticed TW was slow to get up.  Wildfire shook the cobwebs out and shook hands with Drew.  Both men left.  We assume Wildfire will be getting checked out.  (9 min)  They are now 2-2.

The Ladies Champion the Duchess makes her way out and goes to sit at commentary.  She lets everyone listening know that she’s eager to see who wins this one.

The Main Event is ready to go and Kimberly Kiccass makes her way out first.  Instead of going right into the ring, she confronts the Ladies Champion accusing her of ducking her by not giving her her rematch.  The Duchess remains in her seat and just smiles.  Starr Vixen comes out next and the fans pop for her.  She gets into the ring but is immediately attacked by Kimberly.  Kimberly was the more aggressive and kept that going throughout the match.  Starr came close after hitting a flying fivearm but Kimberly grabbed the rope in the nick of time.  Kimberly locked in a dragon sleeper but Starr powered out of it only to be dropped to the floor with a hair pull.  Starr tossed Kimberly over the top rope but Kimberly held on until Starr nailed a baseball slide dropkick to the floor that forced Kimberly to fall off the ring and smack her head on the way down.  She was not able to make it back in before the 10 count so the match and the title shot are awarded to Starr Vixen.  (17 ½ min).  Starr had her arm raised but as soon as she turned around, the Duchess was standing right there staring at her.  The two stared at each other as the show came to an end.
