“Hello wrestling fans
and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter!”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Ladies and
gentlemen, welcome to another exciting edition of HCW Live Wire! We are coming
to you live from the Columbia Coliseum, and we've got a tremendous night of
action ahead of us.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Every time I think
this roster can't get any deeper, somebody new steps up. That's what makes
these shows fun, Mike. You never know who's going to grab momentum and run with
it.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And speaking of
momentum, we'll kick things off with The Stillwell Angel as she looks to take
the next step in her HCW journey when she squares off against Lavender Gooms.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“I liked what I saw
from Stillwell in her first outing. Tonight's a different challenge though.
Proving you belong is one thing. Winning is another.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“We'll also see
tensions continue to rise between The Iron Syndicate and the team of Bruiser
McPugg and Leopold Dilg.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“That situation keeps
getting more personal every week. Leopold has made it very clear he's tired of
waiting around and watching the Syndicate run roughshod over people.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Plus, veteran
Outback Oscar will be in action against Caesar King.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And Caesar King is
still trying to establish himself as one of the most dangerous competitors on
the roster. Oscar's the kind of veteran who can spoil those plans in a hurry.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“We'll also see
Harrison Marks take on Clover Fincastle.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Two competitors
still looking to establish themselves in HCW. Neither one can afford to give
away opportunities.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And in women's
division action, Nyx Evermore returns to the ring to face Penny Hall.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Penny Hall has never
met a shortcut she didn't like, while Nyx Evermore continues trying to build
momentum every time she steps into the ring.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And then in our main
event, the HCW World Tag Team Championships will be on the line as The Samoan
Bloodline defend against Thunder & Lightning!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Thunder &
Lightning have been chasing an opportunity like this for a long time, but
opportunities and championships are two very different things.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The Samoan Bloodline
have dominated the tag team division, and tonight they'll look to add another
successful defense to their reign.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Thunder &
Lightning believe tonight is their night. The Bloodline believes the division
still belongs to them. Somebody's going to be proven right.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Championship gold is
on the line, rivalries continue to heat up, and by the end of tonight we'll
know whether Thunder & Lightning can finally capture tag team glory.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Or whether The
Samoan Bloodline once again proves why they're sitting on top of the mountain.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“We've got a great
show lined up, so let's send it to the ring.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“This is HCW Live
Wire!”
The camera pans
across a packed Columbia Coliseum as the crowd buzzes with anticipation for the
opening contest of the evening.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Our opening contest
is set to get underway, and this should be an important matchup for both
competitors.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Especially for The
Stillwell Angel. She showed a lot of heart in her first HCW appearance, but now
comes the hard part.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Turning potential
into victories.”
A chorus of boos
fills the arena as Lavender Gooms emerges from the backstage area. The veteran
competitor sneers at the fans lining the entranceway and slowly makes her way
toward the ring.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“You want to talk
about a difficult test? Here it is. Lavender Gooms has been around long enough
to know every trick in the book.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And she's never been
afraid to bend the rules when it benefits her.”
Lavender pauses at
ringside, rolling her eyes at a fan holding a sign supporting The Stillwell
Angel. She mockingly applauds before climbing onto the apron and stepping
through the ropes.
Once inside the ring,
Lavender confidently stretches in the corner while soaking in the negative
reaction from the crowd.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Lavender doesn't
care if these people like her.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“No, but she
certainly enjoys getting under their skin.”
The crowd's reaction
quickly shifts to cheers as The Stillwell Angel steps onto the stage. She takes
a moment to look around the arena before beginning the walk toward the ring,
clearly energized by the support of the HCW faithful.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Listen to this
crowd!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“They've really taken
a liking to The Stillwell Angel.”
The Stillwell Angel
slaps hands with fans along the aisle before reaching ringside.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“This is a young
woman who earned a great deal of respect in her debut. Tonight is about taking
the next step.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Everybody says they
belong until the bell rings. Tonight she has an opportunity to prove she can
win against an established HCW competitor.”
The Stillwell Angel
climbs onto the apron and enters the ring. She acknowledges the crowd before
turning her attention toward Lavender Gooms.
Across the ring,
Lavender smirks and slowly motions for her opponent to bring it on.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The veteran versus
the newcomer. The challenge has been laid down.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And we're about to
find out if The Stillwell Angel is ready to answer it.”
The referee checks
both competitors as the crowd grows louder in anticipation.
The opening minutes
saw The Stillwell Angel come out aggressively, catching Lavender off guard with
a swinging neckbreaker before following up with a series of quick strikes and
athletic counters.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The Stillwell Angel
came ready to fight tonight!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“This isn't somebody
just trying to survive anymore, Mike. She came here to win.”
Lavender attempted to
slow the pace whenever possible, using her veteran instincts to frustrate her
younger opponent. Every time The Stillwell Angel seemed ready to pull away,
Lavender found a way to create an opening and regain her footing.
Still, the momentum
continued to favor The Stillwell Angel.
A spinning kick
rocked Lavender. Another swinging neckbreaker planted her in the center of the
ring. A perfectly executed hurricanrana sent the veteran tumbling across the
canvas as the crowd rallied behind the newcomer.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The Stillwell Angel
is putting together her best performance yet!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Lavender expected to
be the teacher tonight. Instead, she's the one getting schooled.”
As the match
progressed, The Stillwell Angel began targeting Lavender with submission holds.
She twice trapped her in the Black Widow Octopus Hold, wrenching back with
everything she had while Lavender desperately fought to avoid tapping out.
The veteran survived
both attempts, but the damage was beginning to show.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“She has that hold
locked in deep!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Lavender's hanging
on by pure stubbornness right now.”
To her credit,
Lavender refused to go quietly. She battled back with a pumphandle side slam
and later nearly turned the tide by locking in The Lavender Lock. For a moment,
the momentum shifted as the veteran attempted to force The Stillwell Angel into
submission.
The crowd erupted
when The Stillwell Angel refused to surrender and clawed her way free.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“What determination!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“She is not giving
this one away.”
The battle continued
well past the fifteen-minute mark as both women exchanged momentum. The
Stillwell Angel repeatedly connected with neckbreakers, kicks, and aerial
attacks while Lavender struggled to find an answer.
By the closing
moments, it became increasingly clear who had controlled the majority of the
match.
The turning point
came when Lavender retreated to the outside looking for a chance to regroup.
Instead, The
Stillwell Angel took flight.
The young star
sprinted across the ring and launched herself through the ropes with a
spectacular diving crossbody to the floor, crashing into Lavender and sending
both women sprawling near the barricade.
The Columbia Coliseum
erupted.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“What a risk!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“She just threw
everything she had at Lavender Gooms!”
Referee Slow-Count
Sam immediately began his count.
The Stillwell Angel
slowly worked her way back toward the ring while Lavender remained seated
against the barricade.
As the count
continued, Lavender finally climbed to her feet.
The veteran looked
toward the ring.
Then she looked back
at The Stillwell Angel.
The frustration on
her face told the entire story.
Lavender had spent
nearly twenty-five minutes being outworked, outwrestled, and outperformed.
She shook her head in
disgust.
Then she turned and
began walking away from ringside.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Wait a minute!
Lavender's leaving!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Lavender's had
enough! She wants no part of The Stillwell Angel anymore!”
The crowd roared as
the referee's count continued.
Seven...
Eight...
Nine...
Ten!
The bell rang.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“She did it!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“What a statement!
The Stillwell Angel pushed Lavender Gooms to the point where she simply walked
away from the fight!”
The referee raised
The Stillwell Angel's hand as the crowd celebrated alongside her.
This wasn't just a
victory.
It was proof.
After spending her
debut proving she belonged, The Stillwell Angel had now proven she could
compete—and win—against an established HCW veteran.
As Lavender
disappeared through the curtain, The Stillwell Angel stood tall in the ring,
soaking in the cheers of the HCW faithful and celebrating the biggest victory
of her young career.
Following a
commercial break, the broadcast returned to the backstage interview area where
Candace Hart stood alongside a smiling The Stillwell Angel, still energized
from her victory.
Candace Hart:
“Welcome back to HCW
Live Wire. I'm standing by with The Stillwell Angel, who just picked up the
biggest victory of her HCW career against Lavender Gooms.”
The crowd could be
heard cheering in the distance as The Stillwell Angel smiled.
Candace Hart:
“A few weeks ago, you
were fighting to prove you belonged in HCW. Tonight you defeated an established
veteran. How are you feeling right now?”
The Stillwell Angel:
“I feel great.”
The smile widened
across her face.
The Stillwell Angel:
“A few weeks ago,
everybody kept asking if I belonged here.”
She nodded.
The Stillwell Angel:
“I asked myself the
same question.”
Candace Hart:
“And now?”
The Stillwell Angel:
“Now I know I
belong.”
The crowd in the
arena could be heard applauding.
The Stillwell Angel:
“Lavender Gooms is
tough. She's experienced. She's been doing this a lot longer than I have.”
She paused.
The Stillwell Angel:
“But tonight I stood
across the ring from her for nearly twenty-five minutes, and I never backed
down.”
Candace Hart:
“You certainly
didn't.”
The Stillwell Angel:
“Tonight wasn't about
proving I belonged.”
She looked directly
into the camera.
The Stillwell Angel:
“Tonight was about
proving I can win.”
A confident smile
crossed her face.
The Stillwell Angel:
“And I did.”
Candace Hart:
“So what's next for
The Stillwell Angel?”
For the first time,
there was no hesitation in her answer.
The Stillwell Angel:
“What's next is
simple.”
She pointed toward
the camera.
The Stillwell Angel:
“I keep moving
forward.”
“I keep getting
better.”
“And every woman in
HCW should understand something.”
Candace raised an
eyebrow.
The Stillwell Angel:
“I'm not here just to
be part of this roster anymore.”
Another confident
smile.
The Stillwell Angel:
“I'm here to compete
with the best.”
Candace Hart:
“Strong words from a
woman who just earned a huge victory tonight. Congratulations again.”
The Stillwell Angel:
“Thank you, Candace.”
Candace turned back
toward the camera.
Candace Hart:
“The Stillwell Angel
is feeling confident after the biggest win of her HCW career. Let's send it
back to ringside.”
The camera faded back
to the announce desk as Live Wire prepared for the next contest.
Back inside the
Columbia Coliseum, the crowd remained energized following The Stillwell Angel's
victory as the camera returned to ringside.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“What a moment for
The Stillwell Angel a few moments ago.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“She earned that win.
Now let's see if the rest of the roster was paying attention.”
The crowd cheered as
Outback Oscar emerged from the backstage area and made his way onto the stage.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And now we're set
for our next contest as one of HCW's most respected veterans heads to the
ring.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Outback Oscar may
not always be in the championship picture, but underestimate him at your own
risk. He's been around long enough to make anybody pay for a mistake.”
Oscar acknowledged
the fans on both sides of the aisle before beginning his walk toward the ring.
Several fans reached
over the barricade to slap hands with the veteran, and Oscar happily obliged as
he made his way to ringside.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“That's one of the
reasons these fans love Outback Oscar. He's always represented himself the
right way.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And that's exactly
why younger competitors love getting a win over him. Beating Oscar means
something.”
Oscar climbed onto
the apron and entered the ring before raising an arm toward the crowd, drawing
another loud ovation.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“You know exactly
what you're going to get from Outback Oscar. Toughness, experience, and
absolutely no quit.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Which is good,
because tonight he's going to need all three.”
Oscar settled into
his corner as the crowd continued cheering for the veteran competitor.
A few moments later,
the reaction inside the arena shifted dramatically as boos began to rain down
from every corner of the Columbia Coliseum.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And here comes his
opponent.”
The camera turned
toward the entranceway as Caesar King emerged onto the stage.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Caesar King has all
the talent in the world. The question is whether he can put it together against
a veteran like Outback Oscar.”
Caesar stood on the
stage for several seconds, soaking in the negative reaction from the crowd
before beginning his deliberate march toward the ring.
The arrogant
competitor ignored the fans entirely, keeping his eyes locked on Outback Oscar
waiting inside the ring.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Caesar King has made
no secret of his ambitions since arriving in HCW.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And beating somebody
like Outback Oscar would certainly get people's attention.”
Caesar climbed into
the ring and immediately began jawing with Oscar from across the ring.
The veteran simply
smiled and motioned for Caesar to bring it on.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Veteran versus
rising star.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“One looking to prove
he still belongs, and one looking to prove he belongs at the top.”
The referee stepped
between the two competitors and began issuing final instructions as the crowd
buzzed in anticipation of the contest.
What began as a
competitive battle between veteran Outback Oscar and the ambitious Caesar King
quickly evolved into something much more personal.
From the opening
bell, Oscar showed exactly why he remains one of HCW's most respected veterans.
The Australian bruiser repeatedly caught Caesar with hard-hitting offense,
using knee drops, face smashes, elbow strikes, and power moves to keep the
younger competitor off balance.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Outback Oscar isn't
giving Caesar King an inch tonight!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Oscar knows exactly
how dangerous Caesar can be. He's making him earn everything.”
Caesar responded with
the athleticism and aggression that have made him one of HCW's fastest-rising
competitors. A devastating Sheerdrop Brainbuster nearly turned the tide before
Caesar followed up with a picture-perfect Coup de Grace that drew gasps from
the Columbia Coliseum crowd.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Caesar King is
bringing everything he's got!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And he may have to.
Oscar isn't going away.”
The two competitors
spent the next several minutes trading momentum. Oscar repeatedly targeted
Caesar's midsection while Caesar answered with reverse DDTs, gutbusters, and
submission attempts. At one point Caesar nearly forced Oscar to submit with a
High Angle Fujiwara Armbar, but the veteran refused to quit.
As the match entered
its later stages, Caesar slowly began taking control.
A Prince's Throne
Gutbuster rattled Oscar.
Another Sheerdrop
Brainbuster planted him.
A pair of devastating
1916 Lifting Reverse DDTs left the veteran struggling to stay in the fight.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Caesar King may be
closing in on a huge victory!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Oscar is in trouble.
Caesar can sense it.”
Despite the
punishment, Oscar continued battling back. The veteran survived a series of
near-falls and managed to catch Caesar with the Outback Stretch before nearly
securing a victory of his own. Still, momentum appeared firmly on Caesar's
side.
Then everything
changed.
As Caesar stalked
Oscar, preparing to put the veteran away once and for all, movement near the
entrance stage caught his attention.
The crowd suddenly
erupted.
The camera panned
toward the stage.
Standing there with a
smug grin on his face was Harrison Marks.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“What is Harrison
Marks doing out here?”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“I don't think he's
here to support Caesar!”
Harrison slowly
applauded.
Mockingly.
Sarcastically.
Never taking his eyes
off Caesar.
The crowd immediately
understood what was happening.
Caesar did too.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Harrison Marks is
trying to get inside Caesar King's head!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And it's working!”
Caesar became
furious.
He began shouting
toward the stage.
Pointing at Harrison.
Demanding that he
leave.
Meanwhile, Outback
Oscar slowly pulled himself back to his feet.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Caesar needs to
focus on the match!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Not now he doesn't!”
Harrison simply
continued clapping.
Smiling.
Laughing.
Mocking Caesar from
the entranceway.
The distraction
lasted only a few seconds.
It was enough.
When Caesar finally
turned his attention back to the ring, Oscar was waiting.
The veteran countered
Caesar's next attack, caught him coming forward, and planted him with a
thunderous swinging neckbreaker.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Neckbreaker!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Oh no!”
Oscar immediately
hooked the leg.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“One!”
“Two!”
“Three!”
The bell rang.
Outback Oscar had
done it.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“He got him!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Harrison Marks just
cost Caesar King this match!”
The crowd erupted as
Oscar had his hand raised in victory.
On the outside,
Harrison continued applauding.
Inside the ring,
Caesar sat motionless for a moment before slowly realizing exactly what had
happened.
His expression
shifted from disbelief...
...to anger.
Pure anger.
As Harrison casually
turned and disappeared through the curtain, Caesar glared toward the stage
while Oscar celebrated the hard-fought victory.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Outback Oscar earns
a huge win tonight, but I don't think we're done hearing about Harrison Marks
and Caesar King.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Not even close.”
Caesar's eyes never
left the entranceway as the show headed to a commercial break.
The broadcast
returned from commercial as the camera panned across the enthusiastic crowd
inside the Columbia Coliseum.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Welcome back to HCW
Live Wire, and moments ago we witnessed Outback Oscar capitalize on a
distraction from Harrison Marks to score a hard-fought victory over Caesar
King.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Capitalize? Harrison
practically gift-wrapped that match for Oscar. Caesar King had control until
Harrison decided to stick his nose where it didn't belong.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Well, Harrison Marks
may have his own concerns right now because he's up next.”
The crowd immediately
erupted into boos as Harrison Marks emerged from the backstage area.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Here comes the man
of the hour.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The man who just
made an enemy out of Caesar King.”
Harrison smirked as
he stepped onto the stage, seemingly quite pleased with himself.
Rather than heading
directly to the ring, he stopped and applauded sarcastically toward the
entrance curtain where Caesar had disappeared moments earlier.
The crowd booed even
louder.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Oh, he's proud of
himself.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“I don't know if I'd
be provoking Caesar King right now.”
Harrison shrugged and
continued his walk toward the ring.
Several fans along
the aisle shouted at him, but Harrison paid them no attention. Instead, he
pointed toward himself and smiled as if he had just accomplished something
noteworthy.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“You know what? I'll
give him this. He achieved exactly what he wanted.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“At the expense of
somebody else's match.”
Harrison climbed onto
the apron and entered the ring before arrogantly posing in the center of the
canvas.
The boos continued
raining down.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“I think Harrison
believes he's the smartest man in HCW.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“That may be true,
but he's about to have a match to worry about.”
The arena's mood
quickly changed as cheers filled the building.
Clover Fincastle
stepped onto the stage and acknowledged the crowd with a smile before beginning
his walk to the ring.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And here comes
Clover Fincastle.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“A competitor who
keeps improving every time we see him.”
Fans reached over the
barricade as Clover made his way toward ringside, happily slapping hands with
supporters along the aisle.
Inside the ring,
Harrison rolled his eyes and impatiently motioned for Clover to hurry up.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Clover may not have
Harrison's ego, but he's got plenty of ability.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And tonight would be
a huge opportunity for him.”
Clover climbed onto
the apron and stepped through the ropes.
The two competitors
immediately locked eyes from opposite corners of the ring.
Harrison looked
confident.
Clover looked
focused.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Harrison Marks.
Clover Fincastle. One-on-one.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And after everything
Harrison's stirred up tonight, he's going to need to keep his attention where
it belongs.”
The referee stepped
between the two competitors and delivered final instructions as the crowd
buzzed in anticipation of the contest.
The third match of
the evening featured two competitors looking to build momentum as Harrison
Marks squared off against the always-resilient Clover Fincastle.
From the opening
bell, it was clear neither man intended to give the other an easy night.
Clover came out
aggressively, surprising Harrison with a Landslide Samoan Driver and a Double
Underhook Piledriver in the opening minutes. The quick offense caught Harrison
off guard and forced him to abandon any plans of taking his opponent lightly.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Clover Fincastle
came ready to fight!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Harrison may have
spent too much time worrying about Caesar King.”
The comment visibly
irritated Harrison.
The arrogant
competitor quickly regained control by using his size and power advantage. He
repeatedly targeted Clover with backbreakers, suplexes, and power moves while
looking for opportunities to wear down the fan favorite.
At one point Harrison
dumped Clover to the floor and nearly stole a count-out victory before Clover
barely beat the referee's count and returned to the ring.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Harrison Marks is
trying to dictate the pace.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And Clover keeps
finding a way back into the fight.”
The match settled
into a back-and-forth contest as both men traded momentum.
Clover connected with
German Suplexes, an Inverted Exploder, and a devastating Apron Knee Drop that
nearly shifted the entire match in his favor. Harrison answered with a series
of punishing backbreakers, a Wasteland, and several hard strikes that left Clover
struggling to stay upright.
Despite Clover's
resilience, Harrison gradually began taking control.
A crushing
backbreaker nearly secured the victory.
Moments later,
Harrison planted Clover with a Wasteland and came within inches of ending the
contest.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Harrison Marks is
starting to pull away!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“This is the version
of Harrison Marks we've been hearing about.”
As the match entered
its final moments, Clover refused to quit.
The crowd rallied
behind him as he battled back with another German Suplex before attempting to
trap Harrison in a Shining Triangle Choke.
Then the crowd
suddenly erupted.
Neither competitor
immediately understood why.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Wait a minute...
what's going on?”
The camera turned
toward the entranceway.
Standing near the
stage was a man dressed exactly like Harrison Marks.
The same hairstyle.
The same trunks.
The same wrist tape.
The same jacket.
The crowd began
laughing immediately.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“That's Harrison
Marks!”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“No it isn't!”
Inside the ring,
Harrison spotted the lookalike and immediately became furious.
He began shouting
toward the stage.
Pointing.
Threatening.
Demanding answers.
The distraction
completely took his attention away from Clover.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Harrison needs to
focus on the match!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“I don't think that's
happening!”
As Harrison continued
arguing with the impersonator, Clover attempted to capitalize.
Both men charged
forward at the same time.
The collision sent
both competitors crashing awkwardly to the mat.
Referee Fast Count
Frank was caught in the chaos and tumbled through the ropes to the floor.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The referee is
down!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And we've still got
a mystery Harrison Marks standing on the stage!”
The impersonator
suddenly sprinted toward the ring.
The crowd erupted.
He slid under the
bottom rope.
The moment he stood
up, the audience instantly recognized him.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“That's Caesar King!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“I knew it!”
Caesar spun Harrison
around and blasted him with a punch that dropped him to the canvas.
The crowd roared. He dragged Harrison out of the ring and hit a
DDT on the floor
Caesar quickly exited
ringside and headed back toward the entranceway before the referee could see
him.
Meanwhile, Clover
remained down.
Harrison remained
down outside the ring.
Fast Count Frank
slowly climbed back into the ring from a different side.
As the official
regained his bearings, he looked toward the aisle and saw what appeared to be
Harrison Marks walking away from ringside.
The referee
immediately began counting.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Oh no... the referee
thinks Harrison has left the match!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“He's counting the
wrong Harrison!”
The crowd became
louder with each count.
One...
Two...
Three...
Four...
Five...
Six...
Seven...
Eight...
Nine...
Ten!
The bell rang.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“He counted him out!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Caesar King just got
even!”
The referee called
for the bell and awarded the match to Clover Fincastle by count-out.
Only seconds later,
the real Harrison began stirring outside the ring.
Fast Count Frank
turned around and immediately froze.
One Harrison was
supposedly walking backstage.
Another Harrison was
standing in front of him.
The referee looked
utterly confused.
The decision had
already been made.
It would stand.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The referee has no
idea what just happened!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“I don't think
anybody does!”
Clover Fincastle had
his hand raised in victory, though even he looked puzzled by the bizarre turn
of events.
Meanwhile, Harrison
finally realized exactly what had happened.
His face turned
bright red with rage.
The crowd erupted
with laughter.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Harrison Marks is
absolutely furious!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And after what he
did to Caesar King earlier tonight, I don't think anybody should be surprised!”
Harrison stormed out
of the ring and headed directly toward the backstage area while Clover
celebrated the biggest victory of his HCW career.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Something tells me
this issue between Harrison Marks and Caesar King is far from over.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Not even close.”
The cameras followed
Harrison as he disappeared through the curtain and marched toward the backstage
area.
The cameras continued
following Harrison Marks as he stormed through the backstage area.
Production assistants
scattered out of the way.
Officials attempted
to speak with him.
Harrison ignored
every one of them.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Harrison Marks is
absolutely livid.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Wouldn't you be?
Caesar King just made him look like a fool in front of the entire arena.”
Harrison shoved open
a door and marched directly into the office of HCW General Manager Max
McGillicutty.
Max looked up from
his desk.
Max McGillicutty:
“What now?”
Harrison Marks:
“What now?!”
Harrison slammed both
hands onto Max's desk.
Harrison Marks:
“You saw what
happened out there!”
Harrison Marks:
“That lunatic cost me
my match!”
“He attacked me!”
“He impersonated me!”
“You need to suspend
him!”
“You need to reverse
that decision!”
Harrison Marks:
“You need to—”
The office door
suddenly opened.
The crowd watching on
the arena screen erupted.
Standing in the
doorway was Caesar King.
Still wearing
portions of Harrison's gear.
The jacket was draped
over one shoulder.
The fake wrist tape
remained in place.
Caesar couldn't stop
smiling.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Oh, this is
fantastic.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“This is not
helping.”
Caesar slowly stepped
into the office.
Caesar King:
“You forgot to
mention handsome.”
Harrison spun around
instantly.
Harrison Marks:
“You think this is
funny?”
Caesar King:
“Judging by the
crowd?”
Caesar shrugged.
Caesar King:
“Yes.”
The audience inside
the Columbia Coliseum erupted with laughter.
Caesar King:
“You cost me a
match.”
Harrison Marks:
“So I cost you one
match!”
Caesar King:
“And now we're even.”
Harrison Marks:
“Even?!”
Caesar King:
“Actually...”
Caesar looked
Harrison up and down.
Caesar King:
“I think I'm ahead.”
The crowd roared.
Harrison lunged
forward.
Security immediately
stepped between the two men before any punches could be thrown.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Here we go!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Let them fight!”
Several officials
struggled to keep the rivals separated as both men continued shouting at one
another.
Finally—
Max McGillicutty:
“ENOUGH!”
The room fell silent.
Even Harrison and
Caesar stopped talking.
Max stood up from
behind his desk.
Max McGillicutty:
“I'm tired of hearing
about this.”
He pointed at
Harrison.
Max McGillicutty:
“You cost him a
match.”
Then pointed at
Caesar.
Max McGillicutty:
“And you cost him a
match.”
Max McGillicutty:
“Frankly, you're both
acting like children.”
The crowd laughed.
Max McGillicutty:
“You want to
embarrass each other?”
Neither man answered.
Max McGillicutty:
“Fine.”
A pause.
Max McGillicutty:
“June twenty-third.”
The crowd began
buzzing.
Max McGillicutty:
“HCW Super Show.”
Another pause.
Max McGillicutty:
“Caesar King.”
“Harrison Marks.”
The audience was
fully invested now.
Max McGillicutty:
“No
Disqualifications.”
Huge reaction.
Max McGillicutty:
“And since both of
you seem obsessed with appearances...”
Max looked directly
at both men.
Max McGillicutty:
“Facial Hair versus
Facial Hair.”
The Columbia Coliseum
exploded.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“What?!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“YES!”
Harrison's eyes
widened.
Caesar's smile
disappeared.
For the first time
all night, both men looked genuinely concerned.
Max McGillicutty:
“The loser gets
shaved.”
The crowd erupted
again.
Max McGillicutty:
“And until June
twenty-third...”
Max pointed at both
competitors.
Max McGillicutty:
“You two stay away
from each other.”
Neither man looked
happy.
Neither man looked
willing to back down.
Max McGillicutty:
“Now get out of my
office.”
The rivals continued
glaring at each other as security escorted them from the room.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“June twenty-third.
No Disqualification. Facial Hair versus Facial Hair.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“One of those beards
is gone, Mike!”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And judging by the
look on both men's faces, I don't think either one of them expected this.”
The final shot showed
Harrison and Caesar still exchanging heated words in the hallway as Live Wire
headed to another commercial break.
Live Wire returned
from commercial as the camera panned across the crowd inside the Columbia
Coliseum, many fans still buzzing about the shocking announcement that had just
been made.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Welcome back to HCW
Live Wire, and if you're just joining us, HCW General Manager Max McGillicutty
has made it official.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“June twenty-third.
No Disqualification. Facial Hair versus Facial Hair. Harrison Marks versus
Caesar King!”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“I don't think either
man expected that stipulation.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“I sure didn't. But
one thing is certain—those two are headed for a collision course.”
The arena lights
shifted as boos filled the Columbia Coliseum.
Penny Hall stepped
onto the stage with a smug grin on her face and immediately began soaking in
the negative reaction from the audience.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And now it's time
for women's division action.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“You know, I don't
understand why these people dislike Penny Hall so much.”
The crowd answered
Johnny's question with an even louder round of boos.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“I think you just got
your answer.”
Penny slowly made her
way down the aisle, completely ignoring the fans as she strutted toward the
ring.
A young fan near the
barricade attempted to get her attention, only for Penny to dismissively wave
him off without breaking stride.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Penny Hall isn't
here to make friends. She's here to win matches.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“She has the talent
to be successful. Sometimes it's her attitude that gets in the way.”
Penny climbed onto
the apron and entered the ring.
Once inside, she
confidently posed in the center of the ring before retreating to her corner.
The boos continued.
Penny simply smiled.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“See? She's enjoying
every second of this.”
The mood inside the
arena immediately changed as cheers erupted throughout the building.
Nyx Evermore emerged
onto the stage and paused for a moment, taking in the crowd's reaction.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And here comes Nyx
Evermore.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Now here's someone
who has quietly continued improving every time we see her.”
Nyx acknowledged the
fans before beginning her walk toward the ring.
Several supporters
along the aisle reached over the barricade to greet her, and Nyx happily
slapped hands as she made her way to ringside.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The fans have really
taken to Nyx Evermore.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“She works hard, she
keeps improving, and she doesn't spend her time insulting everybody in sight.
Funny how that works.”
Nyx reached ringside
and climbed onto the apron.
Inside the ring,
Penny rolled her eyes and motioned for Nyx to hurry up.
Nyx simply smiled
before stepping through the ropes.
The crowd cheered
loudly as she climbed onto the turnbuckle and acknowledged the audience one
final time.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Both women looking
for an important victory tonight.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“The women's division
keeps getting deeper every week. Matches like this become more important every
time somebody climbs the ladder.”
Nyx stepped down from
the turnbuckle and locked eyes with Penny from across the ring.
Penny smirked.
Nyx remained focused.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Nyx Evermore. Penny
Hall. One-on-one.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And I have a feeling
neither woman plans on taking a step backward tonight.”
The referee stepped
between them and delivered the final instructions as the crowd settled in for
the next contest.
The evening's women's
division contest showcased two competitors determined to gain momentum as Nyx
Evermore squared off against the always-dangerous Penny Hall.
From the opening
bell, it was clear neither woman intended to give an inch.
Nyx used her speed
and athleticism to immediately pressure Penny, connecting with a dropkick
before following it up with a beautifully executed Wheelbarrow Bulldog that
brought the crowd to its feet. Penny answered with a series of hard-hitting
power moves, including a scoop powerslam and a diving forearm smash that
quickly reminded everyone why she's such a dangerous opponent.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Excellent start by
both competitors!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Neither one wants to
take a step backward in this division.”
The match settled
into a competitive back-and-forth battle.
Whenever Nyx appeared
ready to build momentum, Penny found a way to stop her.
Whenever Penny
started taking control, Nyx answered with her quickness and resilience.
The crowd especially
came alive when Nyx repeatedly caught Penny with a series of perfectly timed
dropkicks that forced the veteran heel onto the defensive.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Nyx Evermore is
finding her rhythm now!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“She can't let Penny
slow this match down.”
Penny nearly stole
the contest midway through the match when she reversed one of Nyx's pin
attempts into a pinfall of her own. Honest Abe dropped into position and
counted two before Nyx managed to kick out, drawing a relieved cheer from the
audience.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“That was close!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“That's exactly why
Penny Hall is dangerous. She can turn a match around in an instant.”
The action
intensified as both women traded momentum over the next several minutes.
Nyx connected with
Midnight Strikes, clotheslines, another Wheelbarrow Bulldog, and a Scissor
Sister Split Leg Drop, while Penny continued answering with powerslams, hair
mare slams, and quick pinning combinations designed to frustrate her opponent.
By the closing
moments, both competitors were beginning to show signs of fatigue.
The crowd rallied
behind Nyx as she continued pressing forward.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“You can feel this
crowd getting behind Nyx Evermore!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“She has weathered
everything Penny Hall has thrown at her tonight.”
Penny attempted to
regain control with another power move, but Nyx avoided disaster and
immediately went back on the attack.
A sharp clothesline
rocked Penny.
Moments later,
another perfectly placed dropkick caught her squarely and sent her crashing to
the canvas.
The crowd erupted.
Nyx quickly hooked
the leg.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“This could be it!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“She's got her!”
Honest Abe slid into
position.
One!
Two!
Three!
The bell rang.
Nyx Evermore had done
it.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Big win for Nyx
Evermore!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“That was one of her
best performances yet.”
The crowd applauded
as Nyx rose to her feet and had her hand raised in victory.
Across the ring,
Penny Hall sat against the ropes in frustration, realizing she had come up just
short.
Meanwhile, Nyx
climbed onto the second turnbuckle and acknowledged the cheering fans.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The women's division
continues to get deeper every week, and tonight Nyx Evermore just took another
step forward.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Penny Hall gave her
everything she could handle, but tonight belonged to Nyx.”
With the crowd still
cheering, Nyx celebrated her hard-fought victory as Live Wire prepared to head
toward its World Tag Team Championship main event.
Following Nyx
Evermore's victory, the broadcast returned to ringside as the crowd continued
buzzing in anticipation of the next contest.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Still to come
tonight, our World Tag Team Championship main event as The Samoan Bloodline
defend against Thunder & Lightning.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“But first we've got
a grudge match on our hands.”
The crowd erupted
into cheers as Bruiser McPugg emerged from the backstage area.
A moment later,
Leopold Dilg joined him on the stage.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And here come
Bruiser McPugg and Leopold Dilg.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Leopold has been
looking for payback for weeks now.”
The two competitors
stood on the stage for a moment, looking toward the ring before beginning their
walk down the aisle.
Bruiser slapped hands
with fans along the barricade while Leopold remained laser-focused on the ring.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“You can tell Leopold
isn't in a playful mood tonight.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Would you be? The
Iron Syndicate has made life miserable for anybody standing in their way.”
The crowd continued
cheering as Bruiser and Leopold made their way to ringside.
Bruiser acknowledged
the audience while Leopold immediately climbed onto the apron and entered the
ring.
The two men exchanged
a quick nod.
Their focus never
left the entranceway.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“They've been waiting
for this opportunity.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And they're about to
get it.”
The mood inside the
Columbia Coliseum immediately changed.
Boos thundered
throughout the arena.
The Iron Syndicate
emerged from the backstage area.
Iosef Koloff walked
out first.
Krueger Kruschev
followed closely behind.
Neither man paid any
attention to the crowd.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And here comes The
Iron Syndicate.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“You may not like
them, but you have to respect what they've accomplished since arriving in HCW.”
The boos grew louder
as the Syndicate slowly marched toward the ring.
Iosef's expression
remained cold and emotionless.
Krueger looked ready
to fight immediately.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“These two have left
a trail of destruction throughout the tag team division.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And tonight they get
another chance to prove why they're one of the most feared teams in HCW.”
The Syndicate climbed
onto the apron and entered the ring.
Immediately, both
teams moved toward the center.
The referee quickly
stepped between them before anything could happen.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The tension is
obvious.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“I don't think we're
starting this match with handshakes.”
The crowd came to its
feet as all four competitors locked eyes.
Bruiser McPugg and
Leopold Dilg stood in one corner.
The Iron Syndicate
stood in the other.
Neither team looked
interested in taking a step backward.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“This one has been
brewing for quite some time.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And something tells
me it's about to explode.”
The referee issued
final instructions as the crowd roared in anticipation.
The tag team grudge
match between The Iron Syndicate and the team of Bruiser McPugg and Leopold
Dilg quickly descended into chaos.
From the opening
bell, Dilg and McPugg came out with a purpose.
Leopold stunned Iosef
Koloff with a series of vertical suplexes while McPugg followed with backdrop
suplexes and shoulder breakers. The crowd roared as the fan favorites
repeatedly overwhelmed the Syndicate with quick tags and effective teamwork.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Bruiser and Leopold
are taking the fight right to The Iron Syndicate!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Leopold's been
waiting weeks for this opportunity.”
The early momentum
belonged almost entirely to the face team.
Dilg repeatedly
planted both Iosef and Krueger with suplexes while McPugg delivered punishing
strikes and power offense whenever he entered the ring. Even a brief four-man
melee failed to slow their momentum.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“This may be the best
we've ever seen Leopold Dilg look.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“He came here looking
for payback.”
Unfortunately for the
challengers, The Iron Syndicate slowly began turning the tide.
Krueger Khruschev
trapped Dilg in the wrong corner.
Iosef Koloff entered
illegally.
The referee attempted
to restore order, but the damage was already being done.
The Syndicate began
isolating Dilg from his partner.
A devastating
inverted suplex left him reeling.
Moments later,
Krueger launched him into the crowd before Dilg barely managed to beat the
count back into the ring.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The Iron Syndicate
is cutting the ring in half.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“This is where
they're most dangerous.”
The final moments
became increasingly chaotic.
McPugg desperately
reached for a tag.
Dilg fought his way
toward his corner.
Then everything fell
apart.
As the action spilled
toward ringside, Iosef deliberately yanked McPugg from the apron and he got
tied up in the ropes.
The big man became
hopelessly tangled.
Both arms wrapped
through the ropes.
The more he
struggled, the worse it became.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“McPugg is trapped!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Get him loose!”
Inside the ring,
Leopold found himself completely alone.
The Syndicate
immediately took advantage.
Krueger grabbed Dilg.
Iosef grabbed Dilg.
The crowd began
booing loudly.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“No! Not like this!”
The two members of
The Iron Syndicate hoisted Leopold into the air.
At ringside, a table
had been set up during the chaos.
The crowd erupted in
horror.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“They're not going
to—”
They did.
Both men drove
Leopold Dilg through the table with a devastating double powerbomb.
The table exploded on
impact.
The Columbia Coliseum
erupted with boos.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Good Lord!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Leopold may be
broken in half!”
At ringside, Bruiser
McPugg could do nothing but watch.
Still trapped in the
ropes.
Still unable to help.
The visual was
heartbreaking.
McPugg screamed in
frustration as officials rushed toward the wreckage.
Inside the ring, the
Syndicate watches as Honest Abe reached 10 and called for the bell.
The Iron Syndicate
had won.
But they weren't
finished.
The crowd's boos
intensified as Iosef and Krueger continued stalking the fallen Leopold.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The match is over!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Somebody needs to
stop this!”
Suddenly—
The crowd exploded.
Two men came
sprinting down the aisle.
Steel chairs in hand.
The Heritage Tag Team
Champions.
Steel Justice.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“It's Steel Justice!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“The champions are
here!”
Steel Justice slid
into the ring and immediately swung their chairs.
The Iron Syndicate
wisely backed away.
No longer interested
in fighting on equal terms.
The champions stood
protectively between the Syndicate and the injured Leopold Dilg.
The crowd roared.
Iosef Koloff demanded
a microphone.
A moment later one
was handed to him.
The Russian
powerhouse smirked.
Iosef Koloff:
“So this is how it
is?”
The crowd booed.
Iosef Koloff:
“You stick your noses
into Syndicate business.”
More boos.
Iosef Koloff:
“You protect these
men.”
Iosef pointed toward
Steel Justice.
Iosef Koloff:
“Then understand
this.”
He pointed at the
Heritage Tag Team Championships.
Iosef Koloff:
“If Steel Justice
wants to involve themselves in our affairs...”
A pause.
Iosef Koloff:
“We accept.”
The crowd buzzed.
Iosef Koloff:
“But if we fight...”
Another pause.
Iosef Koloff:
“We demand those
championships.”
Huge reaction.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Wait a minute!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“I don't think Steel
Justice expected that.”
The champions looked
at one another.
Then back at The Iron
Syndicate.
The challenge had
been issued.
The Syndicate slowly
backed up the aisle.
Steel Justice
remained standing tall in the ring while officials checked on Leopold Dilg and
finally freed Bruiser McPugg from the ropes.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The Iron Syndicate
may have won the battle tonight.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“But they may have
just started a war with the Heritage Tag Team Champions.”
The final image
showed Steel Justice standing guard over their fallen allies while The Iron
Syndicate retreated up the aisle, grinning from ear to ear.
The broadcast shifted
backstage where Candace Hart stood alongside the HCW World Tag Team Champions,
The Samoan Bloodline.
The championship
belts rested proudly over the shoulders of Samoan Stomper Raku and Tumu
"The Island Beast" Vaega.
Candace Hart:
“I'm standing by with
the HCW World Tag Team Champions, The Samoan Bloodline. Gentlemen, in just a
few moments you'll defend those championships against Thunder & Lightning
in tonight's main event.”
Raku adjusted the
title belt on his shoulder.
Candace Hart:
“Thunder &
Lightning have worked hard to earn this opportunity. What are your thoughts
heading into tonight's championship defense?”
Raku smirked.
Samoan Stomper Raku:
“Thoughts?”
He glanced at Tumu
before looking back at Candace.
Samoan Stomper Raku:
“Everybody talks
about opportunities.”
The crowd could be
heard reacting from the arena.
Samoan Stomper Raku:
“Everybody talks
about what they're going to do when they finally get their chance.”
Tumu stepped forward.
Tumu "The Island
Beast" Vaega:
“Then the bell
rings.”
A slight grin crossed
his face.
Tumu "The Island
Beast" Vaega:
“And reality shows
up.”
Candace nodded.
Candace Hart:
“Thunder &
Lightning are one of the most athletic teams in HCW. Do you see them as a
serious threat?”
Raku laughed.
Not mockingly.
Confidently.
Samoan Stomper Raku:
“We see every
challenger as a threat.”
He tapped the
championship belt.
Samoan Stomper Raku:
“That's why we're
still champions.”
The crowd applauded.
Tumu "The Island
Beast" Vaega:
“Thunder &
Lightning earned this match.”
Tumu "The Island
Beast" Vaega:
“We respect that.”
A pause.
Tumu "The Island
Beast" Vaega:
“But respect doesn't
win championships.”
Raku nodded in
agreement.
Samoan Stomper Raku:
“We didn't become
champions because people believed in us.”
Samoan Stomper Raku:
“We became champions
because nobody could stop us.”
The champions stared
directly into the camera.
Samoan Stomper Raku:
“And tonight?”
He held up the title
belt.
Samoan Stomper Raku:
“The Bloodline stays
on top.”
Candace Hart:
“Confident words from
the champions. Gentlemen, good luck in the main event.”
The Bloodline turned
and headed toward the arena entrance.
Candace watched them
leave before turning back to the camera.
Candace Hart:
“The HCW World Tag
Team Championships are on the line next. Let's send it back to ringside.”
The camera faded back
to Mike Johnson and Johnny Harris at ringside as the crowd prepared for the
night's main event.
The camera returned
to ringside as the crowd rose to its feet in anticipation of the evening's main
event.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“It all comes down to
this.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“The HCW World Tag
Team Championships are on the line.”
The lights throughout
the Columbia Coliseum shifted as the challengers emerged onto the stage.
Thunder &
Lightning stepped out to a loud ovation from the crowd.
Ethan Hayes raised an
arm toward the audience while Rafa Castillo pointed toward the ring.
The opportunity they
had been chasing had finally arrived.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Listen to this
crowd!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“You spend years
trying to earn opportunities like this.”
The challengers made
their way down the aisle, slapping hands with fans on both sides.
The excitement was
impossible to hide.
Tonight represented
the biggest match of their HCW careers.
Once they reached
ringside, both men paused and looked toward the championship belts resting on
the timekeeper's table.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Thunder & Lightning
have earned this opportunity.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And now they have to
finish the job.”
The challengers
entered the ring as ring announcer Tony "Echo" Calibur stepped
forward with microphone in hand.
Tony "Echo"
Calibur:
“Ladies and
gentlemen... the following contest is scheduled for one fall... and it is for
the HCW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP!”
The crowd erupted.
Tony "Echo"
Calibur:
“Introducing first...
the challengers!”
Another cheer filled
the arena.
Tony "Echo"
Calibur:
“At a combined weight
of 448 pounds... Ethan Hayes and Rafa Castillo... THUNDER & LIGHTNING!”
The challengers
raised their arms as the crowd applauded.
They immediately
turned their attention toward the entranceway.
The mood inside the
arena changed.
A mixture of cheers
and cautious anticipation filled the building.
The champions had
arrived.
Samoan Stomper Raku
stepped onto the stage first.
Tumu "The Island
Beast" Vaega followed closely behind.
Both men carried the
HCW World Tag Team Championship belts.
Unlike many
champions, there were no smiles.
No theatrics.
Just confidence.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“And here come the
champions.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“One of the most
dominant teams in HCW.”
The Bloodline slowly
marched toward the ring.
Some fans cheered.
Others remained
firmly behind the challengers.
The atmosphere
reflected exactly what the match had become.
Two respected teams.
One championship.
No clear villain.
No clear hero.
Just competition.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“This may be the
toughest challenge Thunder & Lightning have ever faced.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And The Bloodline
may be facing the hungriest challengers they've seen in months.”
Raku and Tumu climbed
onto the apron before raising their championship belts high above their heads.
The crowd responded
with a thunderous reaction.
The champions entered
the ring and handed their titles to the referee.
Tony "Echo"
Calibur stepped back into position.
Tony "Echo"
Calibur:
“And their
opponents...”
The crowd reacted
loudly.
Tony "Echo"
Calibur:
“At a combined weight
of 612 pounds... they are the reigning... defending... HCW World Tag Team
Champions...”
Tony paused
dramatically.
Tony "Echo"
Calibur:
“Samoan Stomper
Raku!”
Raku raised a fist.
Tony "Echo"
Calibur:
“And Tumu 'The Island
Beast' Vaega!”
Tumu nodded toward
the crowd.
Tony "Echo"
Calibur:
“THE SAMOAN
BLOODLINE!”
The champions raised
their belts one final time.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The stakes don't get
any higher than this.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Two outstanding
teams. One championship. Let's find out who's leaving with the gold.”
The referee held both
championship belts high in the center of the ring as the crowd came to its
feet.
The main event was
ready to begin.
The HCW World Tag
Team Championships were on the line in the evening's main event as Thunder
& Lightning challenged the reigning champions, The Samoan Bloodline.
From the opening
bell, the challengers came out firing.
Lightning Ethan Hayes
stunned Samoan Stomper Raku with an Alley Oop Facebuster before Rafa Sandoval
followed with a rolling elbow and a Poison Rana that nearly gave the
challengers an early advantage. The crowd quickly came alive as Thunder &
Lightning showed exactly why they had earned this championship opportunity.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Thunder &
Lightning are not intimidated by the champions!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“They came here
believing they can win those titles.”
The Bloodline
weathered the early storm and gradually began imposing their power advantage.
Raku answered with
brutal chops.
Tumu Vaega connected
with a flying headbutt drop.
Soon the champions
began forcing the challengers into their style of match.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“This is where The
Bloodline becomes dangerous.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“They wear you down
and make you fight their fight.”
The action remained
competitive throughout the middle portion of the contest.
Thunder &
Lightning repeatedly relied on quick tags and explosive offense, connecting
with Swanton Bombs, rolling elbows, poison ranas, and curb stomps. The
Bloodline answered with crushing splashes, knee drops, corner attacks, and
devastating teamwork whenever opportunities presented themselves.
One sequence saw all
four competitors briefly gain advantages simultaneously before the match broke
down into complete chaos.
The crowd roared
throughout every near momentum swing.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“This has been
everything you'd want from a championship match!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Neither team is
giving an inch!”
As the match entered
its closing stages, the champions began taking control.
Tumu repeatedly
flattened Ethan Hayes with massive Super Samoan Splashes.
Raku targeted Rafa's
ribs and midsection with knee drops and rope chokes before repeatedly trapping
him in punishing bearhugs.
Still, Rafa refused
to quit.
The challenger
escaped one bearhug.
Then another.
The crowd rallied
behind him with every ounce of energy they had left.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Rafa Sandoval
refuses to surrender!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“You have to admire
the heart.”
Unfortunately for the
challengers, there was only so much punishment one man could withstand.
Raku locked in
another crushing bearhug.
This time Rafa had
nowhere to go.
The pressure became
too much.
After fighting as
long as he could, Rafa Sandoval was forced to submit.
The bell rang.
The Samoan Bloodline
had successfully retained the HCW World Tag Team Championships.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“They did it!”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Another successful
title defense for The Samoan Bloodline!”
The crowd applauded
both teams as Raku and Tumu were handed their championship belts.
Across the ring,
Thunder & Lightning slowly got back to their feet.
Though disappointed,
they received a respectful ovation from the audience for their effort.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Thunder &
Lightning have nothing to be ashamed of tonight.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“They pushed the
champions every step of the way.”
The Bloodline stood
in the center of the ring with their titles raised high.
Then something
unusual happened.
A section of the
crowd near the lower bowl suddenly began reacting.
At first, nobody
seemed to understand why.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Wait a minute...”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“What's going on over
there?”
More fans stood up.
More fans began
pointing.
Security personnel
started moving through the crowd.
The camera eventually
found the source of the disturbance.
A massive Samoan man
was making his way through the audience.
No music.
No video screen.
No introduction.
Just a giant figure
walking calmly through the crowd toward ringside.
The audience buzzed
with confusion.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Who is that?”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“I have no idea.”
Inside the ring, Raku
and Tumu finally noticed him.
Both champions
lowered their titles.
The expression on
their faces changed immediately.
They recognized him.
The audience did not.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The Bloodline knows
who this man is.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And judging by their
reaction, that's not a good sign.”
The mystery man
reached ringside and stopped.
He never entered the
ring.
He never said a word.
He simply stared at
The Samoan Bloodline.
The champions stared
right back.
The atmosphere inside
the Columbia Coliseum had completely changed.
No one knew what they
were witnessing.
But everyone knew it
mattered.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“I don't know who
that man is...”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“But The Samoan
Bloodline sure does.”
The mystery man
remains motionless at ringside.
Inside the ring, Raku
and Tumu never take their eyes off him.
The crowd buzzes with
speculation.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“Look at the faces of
the champions.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“That's not the look
of two men who are surprised.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“No. That's the look
of two men who recognize exactly who they're looking at.”
The mystery man folds
his arms.
Still no words.
Still no movement
toward the ring.
Just a stare.
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“Mike, we've seen a
lot of strange things in HCW.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“But I don't think
I've ever seen a championship celebration end quite like this.”
The crowd begins
chanting.
Some fans are trying
to figure out who the newcomer is.
Others are simply
watching the confrontation.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“The Samoan Bloodline
retained the championships tonight.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“But somehow that
doesn't feel like the story anymore.”
The camera cuts
between:
- The
mystery man.
- Raku.
- Tumu.
Nobody blinks.
Nobody backs down.
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“We're out of time.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And I've got a
feeling everybody's going to be talking about this tomorrow.”
Mike "the
Voice" Johnson:
“For Johnny Harris,
I'm Mike Johnson. Join us tomorrow for HCW Voltage.”
Johnny "the
Hammer" Harris:
“And hopefully
somebody tells us who that is!”
Fade to black.
