The lights blaze across the Voltage set as the crowd roars, red and blue pyro streaking upward before showering sparks onto the stage. The giant screen flashes the HCW logo before fading into the words: “Voltage – Live!”
Sam Duffy: “Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter, coming to you live from Columbia, South Carolina! Tonight on Voltage, we’ve got a stacked card that promises to deliver from start to finish.”
Rick Granger: “Stacked? Sam, this thing’s about to burst! We’ve got Bruiser McPugg colliding with Colonel Samuel Flagg—two bruisers, one match, and I guarantee you it won’t be pretty. Then Veronica Flame steps into the ring against Penny Hall in a battle of pure attitude.”
Sam Duffy: “And don’t forget, we’re going old-school pugilism tonight—boxing gloves on, fists flying—as Thaddeus Zestwell squares off with Mike ‘The Rebel’ Matthews in a Voltage-exclusive boxing match!”
Rick Granger: “Mike won’t be wearing the gloves but that’s not even scratching the surface! Ghee Buttersnaps is gonna test his heart and his will against the monster himself—The Yeti, with Feral at his side. And in the main event, the U.S. Title is on the line when Wilber ‘Terror Fang’ Townsend defends against Sterling Silverman. You talk about a contrast of styles—this is it!”
Sam Duffy: “Plus, we’ll be seeing a commercial break from Scrooge Toys, and later on—special training vignettes of Owen Zestwell. And Rick, I’ve gotta say it—he’s training like a madman. Jump rope, sparring, running the steps—he’s turning his preparation into a warzone.”
Rick Granger: “All I’ll say is this: there’s a rumor floating around—something big—that’s supposed to break later this week. And Sam, if what I’ve heard is true, it could turn the wrestling world upside down.”
Sam Duffy: “Fans, keep your eyes on HCW all week long—you don’t want to miss this. But right now, let’s get things started—Bruiser McPugg is on his way to the ring!”
[The arena lights dim, and a slow drumbeat thunders through the speakers before picking up into a raucous Celtic brawl tune, “Whiskey and Iron” by the fictional band The Fighting Pints. The crowd cheers as smoke rises at the entranceway.]
Tony Calibur: “Ladies and gentlemen, this opening contest is scheduled for one fall! Making his way to the ring first… from Dublin, Ireland… weighing in at 262 pounds… Bruiser McPugg!”
[Bruiser storms out in his tattered flat cap and suspenders over his singlet, fists raised like he’s already in a street fight. He stomps down the ramp with a scowl, jawing at fans on either side. At ringside, he pounds his fists together before sliding under the ropes. Once inside, Bruiser pulls off the cap and throws it into the crowd before flexing his shoulders and cracking his knuckles, pacing like a caged dog waiting to be unleashed.]
Sam Duffy: “Bruiser McPugg is all business tonight, Rick. A throwback to those pub brawls of old—mean, tough, and dangerous.”
Rick Granger: “All business? Sam, that man’s a wrecking ball with boots on. And he’s stepping into the ring with someone even more dangerous.”
[The arena suddenly fills with martial snare drums and blaring brass as “Stars and Stripes Vengeance” by Patriot’s Fury blasts through the sound system. Red, white, and blue spotlights crisscross over the entrance ramp. The crowd reaction is mixed—boos raining down, though a handful salute mock-seriously in the stands.]
Tony Calibur: “And his opponent… hailing from the United States Army, retired—but never surrendered! Weighing in at 255 pounds… Colonel Samuel Flagg!”
[Colonel Flagg marches out in full regalia—orange singlet beneath a tattered camo jacket, aviator shades perched proudly on his nose. He clutches a folded American flag under one arm and points dramatically to the ceiling with the other, barking nonsense orders as though commanding invisible troops.]
Rick Granger: “Now this is a man of honor! Colonel Flagg—paranoid, patriotic, and prepared to dismantle Bruiser right in the middle of this ring.”
Sam Duffy: “Honor? He’s a walking conspiracy theory, Rick! The man thinks half the roster is part of some globalist plot. He’s unstable—but dangerous all the same.”
[Flagg reaches ringside, dramatically hands the folded flag to the timekeeper as if entrusting state secrets, then marches up the steps. Inside the ring, he salutes the crowd, rips off the camo jacket, and gets nose-to-nose with McPugg as the referee struggles to separate them.]
Match #1: Bruiser McPugg vs Col Flagg
The bell rings and the brawl begins with both men trading hard shots, Flagg using his boot stomps and shoulder blocks to set the tone. Bruiser McPugg absorbs the punishment, firing back with his bruiser’s fists and a nasty shoulder breaker. The match quickly devolves into a war of attrition, each man trading punishing shots that left the crowd on edge.
Sam Duffy: “You can feel the weight behind every blow in this one—there’s no finesse here, Rick. Just grit and violence.”
Rick Granger: “That’s called wrestling, Sam! No flips, no fancy dance moves—just two warriors beating the tar out of each other. My kind of fight!”
At one point, McPugg nearly sealed it with a thunderous power bomb, but Flagg dug deep and kicked out, rallying with his “Patriotic Inverted Slam” and more brutal headbutts. The two battled evenly, each scoring near falls that kept the referee’s hand hovering at two-and-a-half.
As the minutes stretched on, Flagg’s wild conspiratorial antics began to falter against McPugg’s iron jaw. Every time Flagg stomped or dropped a headbutt, McPugg answered with fists, chops, and more bone-crunching shoulder breakers. The crowd rallied behind the Irish brawler as he reversed a toss-out attempt into a backdrop suplex and nearly ended it there.
Finally, after twenty grueling minutes of back-and-forth punishment, McPugg caught Flagg in his clutches and muscled him into the air for one last devastating Power Bomb. He stacked Flagg’s shoulders and held firm as “Honest” Abe’s hand slapped the mat—one, two, three.
Sam Duffy: “Bruiser McPugg just put the Colonel down for good! What a war to kick things off tonight!”
Rick Granger: “For good? Don’t count out Flagg, Sam. A soldier never quits—even if he’s staring up at the lights. Still, McPugg earned that win.”
[The crowd cheers as McPugg raises his fists, sweat dripping down his battered face. Flagg rolls out of the ring, clutching his ribs, still muttering about sabotage. McPugg stands tall, glaring down at his fallen foe as Voltage rolls on.]
Backstage Vignette – The Yeti & Count Vlad
[The camera cuts to a darkened backstage corridor lit only by a crimson spotlight. Count Vlad stands near a heavy steel door, his hands clasped behind his back, the faintest smirk curling his lips. The Yeti looms at his side, massive frame hunched slightly, his breath misting in the cold air.]
The Yeti (growling, low):
“Vlad… do you think… Beastfang is enjoying himself… up north?”
[Vlad tilts his head, studying the Yeti with that fox-like amusement. He lets the silence linger before responding in his velvet, dangerous tone.]
Count Vlad:
“Enjoying himself? My dear Yeti… Beastfang was born to suffer. To toil. To bleed for the Dominion. If he is in the North, among the cold and the endless night, then he is exactly where he belongs. It hardens him. It sharpens him. And when the time comes… he will return with fangs sharper than ever.”
[Yeti lets out a low rumble, almost a laugh, though it sounds more like an avalanche starting in the distance. He leans closer to Vlad.]
The Yeti:
“Good. Because when Beastfang comes back… I want him hungry. I want him to tear.”
[Vlad’s eyes glint with predatory delight. He reaches up, patting the Yeti’s massive arm as though soothing a beast that only he can control.]
Count Vlad:
“Oh, my monster… trust me. When Beastfang returns, the Dominion will feast. And the world will tremble. But until then… you are the avalanche that crushes all beneath us.”
[As Vlad finishes speaking, a faint flicker catches the camera’s attention. A television monitor behind them suddenly crackles to life, not with Dominion propaganda—but with a single burst of white flame that fills the screen. No sound, no figure—just burning light. Yeti turns with a snarl, his massive body tensing.]
The Yeti:
“…What is that?”
[Vlad doesn’t flinch. He slowly smiles, the predator’s calm in the presence of mystery.]
Count Vlad:
“Nothing you need to concern yourself with… yet.”
[The screen fizzles back to static. Yeti growls under his breath, pounding a fist into his palm as Vlad smirks, the camera fading to black.]
[Back at the ring, the arena lights shift to a cool purple hue as “Wicked Plaything” by Black Lace Riot kicks in with a sultry bassline. The crowd gives a mixed but intrigued reaction as Penny Hall struts out from behind the curtain, twirling her hair with one hand and wagging a dismissive finger at the fans with the other.]
Tony Calibur: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first… from Los Angeles, California… Penny Hall!”
[Penny smirks at the audience, pretending to sign autographs only to pull her hand back and laugh at the disappointed fans. She blows a mocking kiss at a child in the front row before hopping up on the apron. She leans seductively against the ropes before slipping into the ring, spinning in place to show herself off, then lounging in the corner like she’s already bored.]
Sam Duffy: “Penny Hall’s got that mix of arrogance and charisma that drives these fans crazy—but you can’t deny she can back it up in the ring.”
Rick Granger: “That’s why I love her, Sam! Penny’s unpredictable, dangerous, and unapologetically herself.”
[Suddenly the arena bursts into fiery orange as “Inferno Queen” by Scarlet Ember hits the speakers. Pyro bursts on either side of the ramp as Veronica Flame storms out, draped in a long crimson coat lined with faux firelight. Walking just a step behind her is her manager, Julian Furnace—slick suit, sunglasses, and a cocky grin as he gestures dramatically toward Veronica like a proud hype man.]
Tony Calibur: “And her opponent… accompanied to the ring by Julian Furnace… from Miami, Florida… Veronica Flame!”
[Julian points at Veronica with both hands as she sneers at the booing crowd, then holds the ropes open for her when they reach the ring. Veronica throws her arms wide as a cascade of sparks falls behind her, the stage looking like a wall of fire. Inside the ring, she shrugs off her coat and tosses it disdainfully at the referee’s feet while Julian claps and shouts encouragement from the apron.]
Sam Duffy: “With Julian Furnace at her side, Veronica Flame is even more dangerous. That man’s mouth is just as sharp as her offense.”
Rick Granger: “That’s called Hot Stuff Inc., Sam—Julian Furnace knows how to pick winners, and Veronica Flame is about to prove why she’s the hottest star in HCW.”
[Veronica and Penny lock eyes across the ring, tension thick as the referee signals for the bell.]
Match #2: Veronica Flame w/Julian Furnace vs Penny Hall
From the opening bell, Penny Hall came out hot, flooring Veronica Flame with a crisp flying dropkick and trying to end things early with quick pins. Veronica weathered the storm, dragging Penny into punishing slams and suplexes to slow the pace.
Sam Duffy: “Penny Hall is trying to dictate the tempo—every time Veronica turns her back, Penny’s right there flying at her.”
Rick Granger: “But Veronica Flame is too smart for that, Sam. And let’s not forget—she’s got Julian Furnace in her corner, the brains behind Hot Stuff Inc.!”
Julian quickly made his presence felt, yanking the referee’s attention at one point to cover for Veronica as Penny nearly scored a flash pin. Later, Julian slipped in an eye gouge that left Penny clutching her face while Veronica unloaded with strikes. The crowd booed furiously, but Julian strutted at ringside, waving his silk scarf like a badge of honor.
Still, Penny refused to fold. She hit her “Penny for Your Thoughts” cutter and came within a heartbeat of the upset. But every time she mounted momentum, Julian found a way to give Veronica an opening—whether shouting at the referee, choking Penny on the ropes with that scarf, or shouting instructions at the exact right moment.
Sam Duffy: “Julian Furnace is earning every bit of his paycheck tonight. Penny should’ve had this thing wrapped up already!”
Rick Granger: “Earning it? He’s guaranteeing victory, Sam! That’s called strategy. Penny needs to learn this business isn’t just about what happens inside the ropes.”
As the minutes wore on, Veronica’s power offense took over—gutwrench suplexes, crossbodies, and her signature running kneeling mat slams pounding the fight out of Penny. By the closing stretch, Penny threw desperation forearms and another sunset flip, but Veronica countered with sheer brute force, spinning Penny around with an airplane spin before crashing down and hooking the legs.
“Honest” Abe counted the three, and the boos rained down as Julian Furnace leapt into the ring, hugging Veronica and raising her arm in triumph.
Sam Duffy: “Penny Hall gave it everything she had, but between Veronica Flame’s ruthlessness and Julian Furnace’s interference, the odds were stacked against her.”
Rick Granger: “Stacked? No, Sam. That’s called winning smart. Veronica Flame proved why she’s one of the hottest stars in HCW—and Hot Stuff Inc. just notched another victory.”
[Veronica stands tall, smirking as Julian taunts the fans at ringside, scarf draped over his shoulders like a trophy. Penny rolls out, fuming, as Voltage heads into its next segment.]
Scrooge Toys Commercial – Wave 2 Title Belts
[The screen cuts to a gaudy toy aisle set, over-lit with gold spotlights. A giant banner reads: “Scrooge Toys: If You Want It, You’ll Pay For It!” The camera zooms in on Ebeneezer Scrooge, grinning ear to ear in a ridiculous green velvet suit with gold trim. Behind him, shelves are stacked with the new toy titles in shiny packaging.]
Ebeneezer Scrooge:
“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls—and especially parents with deep pockets—it’s time for Wave 2 of the most glorious treasures your little brats could ever beg for… the official HCW Title Belts from Scrooge Toys!”
[He snaps his fingers. Assistants in Dominion t-shirts wheel out the Wave 2 belts on velvet cushions. The camera pans dramatically across each one as Scrooge hypes them up.]
Ebeneezer Scrooge:
“Standard HCW child-size belts start at the low, low price of just $89.99—a bargain, considering it cost me one tenth of that to make them! But don’t worry—I’ve adjusted for what I like to call Scrooge’s Greedy Math. If your kid wants to hold what the champions hold, well… you’ll hold the bill!”
[Cut to kids trying on the belts, looking thrilled. Then a quick flash of the packaging for Wave 2 with the bold tagline: “Collect Them All… Or Else!”]
Ebeneezer Scrooge (closing line):
“Remember, collectors—Wave 1 is already vanishing from shelves. Don’t make the mistake of thinking these will last either. Scrooge Toys—where even childhood dreams come with a price tag!”
💰 Pricing Guide (Scrooge’s Greedy Math)
- Standard Belts:
- HCW child size: $89.99
[Fade out with the Scrooge Toys logo and the slogan: “All Glory to the Almighty Dollar!”]
[The commercial ends with the Scrooge Toys logo. We cut back to the arena where the crowd is buzzing.]
Sam Duffy: “Well there you have it, folks — Scrooge Toys rolling out Wave 2 of the HCW titles. If you’ve got a deep wallet, you can let your kids walk around like champions… for about ninety bucks!”
Rick Granger: “Ninety bucks? That’s a steal, Sam! These are collector’s pieces. You think I wouldn’t drop that kind of coin to strap a little U.S. Title replica around my nephew’s waist? Please. Worth every penny.”
Sam Duffy: “Yeah, except Scrooge made it clear he’s laughing all the way to the counting house. He’s proud of the markup.”
Rick Granger: “That’s called capitalism, Sam! Besides, the belts look good. The Dominion might rule the ring, but Scrooge rules the toy aisle.”
Sam Duffy: “Let’s get back to business here in Columbia—coming up next, it’s time to lace up the gloves for something you don’t see every week on Voltage: boxing rules, Thaddeus Zestwell against Mike ‘The Rebel’ Matthews!”
[The crowd cheers as the camera cuts toward the ring where the referee and cornermen are preparing.]
[The house lights flicker to red, white, and blue as “Rebel Charge” by Steel Anthem rips through the arena, a fast-paced southern rock riff that has the fans stomping and clapping. Mike “The Rebel” Matthews charges out from the curtain, wearing his standard ring gear—tights, boots, and a denim vest with “REBEL” stitched across the back. He points out to the crowd, slapping hands along the aisle, every step showing he’s here for a fight, not a fashion show.]
Tony Calibur: “The following contest is a special attraction—boxing rules! Introducing first… from Nashville, Tennessee… Mike ‘The Rebel’ Matthews!”
[Mike slides into the ring, climbing the second rope to salute the crowd with a fist raised high. He strips off the vest and tosses it to the floor, shadowboxing a couple of playful jabs before pounding his chest and nodding toward the fans.]
Sam Duffy: “That’s the difference right there, Rick. Mike Matthews isn’t pretending to be something he’s not. He’s coming into this ‘boxing’ match the same way he’d come into a wrestling match—fighting for these people.”
Rick Granger: “Yeah, and that’s a mistake, Sam! You can’t out-box a Zestwell. Thaddeus is about to embarrass him in front of all his little fans.”
[The arena abruptly turns golden as “Zest for Glory” by Diamond Mirage blasts through the speakers. Thaddeus Zestwell struts out in shimmering red-and-gold boxing robes, oversized sunglasses, and custom trunks with “ZESTWELL” glittering down the side. He poses at the stage, flexing, cupping his ear to the crowd Hogan-style, pretending their thunderous boos are cheers. He throws exaggerated shadowboxing punches, showing off for the cameras before sauntering toward the ring.]
Tony Calibur: “And his opponent… representing the House of Zestwell… Thaddeus Zestwell!”
[Thaddeus climbs the steps slowly, making the referee hold the ropes for him as he preens. Once inside, he removes his robe with a flourish, handing it to the timekeeper like it’s worth millions. He then struts around the ring in circles, flexing and blowing kisses at the crowd, throwing “jab-cross-hook” combinations into the air as though he’s the main event of Madison Square Garden.]
Sam Duffy: “Listen to this place—they hate him! And he’s out here acting like the second coming of Hulk Hogan if Hogan thought he was Muhammad Ali.”
Rick Granger: “Hate him? Sam, they’re witnessing greatness! Look at the robe, the trunks, the form—Thaddeus Zestwell is a natural-born boxer. Mike Matthews doesn’t stand a chance in there tonight.”
[Mike paces in his corner, shaking his head with a grin at the theatrics, while Thaddeus poses endlessly until “Honest” Abe steps in to call both men to the center for instructions.]
Match #3: (Boxer) Thaddeus Zestwell vs Mike Matthews
Sam Duffy: “Look at this! Matthews is wrestling in a boxing match—he’s turning this gimmick right back on Thaddeus!”
Rick Granger: “And that’s cheating, Sam! If you can’t box, stay out of the ring. Thaddeus is the only man in here honoring the spirit of this fight.”
The crowd roared every time Mike grounded Zestwell, and there were several moments where “Honest” Abe nearly counted three. But time and again, Thaddeus barely kicked out, buying himself enough space to land stiff jabs and flashy combinations.
As the match wore on, Zestwell started taunting with Hogan-style struts between combos, drawing nuclear heat from the Columbia crowd. Mike battled back with his “Backsnapper” and bodyslams, but Thaddeus’s punches carried heavier weight with each round.
By the closing stretch, both men were spent—Matthews still fighting with grit, Thaddeus grandstanding between flurries. Then came the decisive moment: as the referee checked distance, Thaddeus subtly reached into his trunks and appeared to adjust his glove, stuffing something inside before pulling it tight.
Sam Duffy: “Wait a minute—what is he doing with that glove?!”
Rick Granger: “He’s tightening it up, Sam! Perfectly legal! Don’t you dare question the honor of a Zestwell!”
With the crowd howling, Thaddeus smirked, lined up, and unleashed a loaded Paradise Punch that knocked Mike flat. Matthews crumpled to the mat as Zestwell arrogantly dropped to one knee for the cover.
“Honest” Abe counted—one, two, three.
Tony Calibur: “Here is your winner… Thaddeus Zestwell!”
The boos were deafening as Thaddeus strutted around the ring, flexing like a conquering hero. He cupped his ear to the crowd, posing as though basking in cheers that weren’t there, while Mike Matthews struggled to regain his senses.
Sam Duffy: “That was a loaded glove! Everyone here saw it! Thaddeus stole this match—Matthews had him beat!”
Rick Granger: “Stole it? He won it with one shot! That’s called power, Sam—pure Zestwell power. Admit it, you just watched greatness.”
[Thaddeus left the ring in his robe, parading up the aisle as if he’d knocked out a heavyweight champion, while fans jeered and pelted him with boos. In the ring, Mike Matthews sat up, shaking his head as the crowd applauded his effort despite the cheap ending.]
Owen Vignette #1
[Mike Matthews and Thaddeus clear out of the ring. The crowd is buzzing.]
Sam Duffy: “Fans, before we move on, let’s take a look at a man who’s been preparing himself like never before—Owen Zestwell. We’ve been told he’s training like a madman, and you’re about to see why.”
Rick Granger: “Training, huh? I’ve heard stories—jump ropes, sparring partners, running the steps like he’s chasing ghosts. If this guy puts half that energy into the ring, someone’s in trouble.”
[Cut to the 4-frame vignette montage: Owen jump-roping in a sweaty gym, sprinting up stone steps, pounding sparring mitts with a partner, then finishing with a determined close-up as he shadowboxes in slow motion. Music swells, gritty and triumphant.]
Sam Duffy (voiceover): “Discipline, grit, and heart—Zestwell’s turning preparation into a warzone. This isn’t just training… it’s obsession.”
[Back to the arena.]
Rick Granger: “I’ll give him this, Sam—he looks like he’s ready to fight a bear. Question is… will it be enough when the lights are on?”
[Backdrop: HCW Voltage logo wall. Candace Hart stands centered with a mic as Veronica Flame steps in, sweat still glistening from the match. Julian Furnace slides into frame, straightening his tie and smirking.]
Candace Hart: “I’m here with Veronica Flame and Julian Furnace after a decisive victory over Penny Hall. Veronica, your thoughts on the win—”
Veronica Flame: “Thoughts? I don’t think, Candace—I prove. Penny Hall learned the same lesson everyone learns when they step into my fire: you don’t play with heat unless you’re ready to burn. Tonight was inevitable. Just like when I ended Missy Chick’s career—remember that? That wasn’t an accident. That was Veronica Flame deciding someone’s time in HCW was over.”
Julian Furnace: “Tell ‘em, Red. See, Hot Stuff Inc. doesn’t ask permission—we set the temperature. Penny got scorched, Missy got retired, and anyone else with a hero complex can get in line for the same treatment. This is what happens when you’re managed by a genius and powered by a phenomenon.”
Candace Hart: “Strong words. Some would say your tactics—”
Julian Furnace: “Tactics? Please. Strategy wins championships. Excuses fill hospital beds.”
Veronica Flame: “Put this on the chyron, Candace: ‘The Heat that Ends Careers.’ Penny was just a warm-up. I’m not here to be liked—I’m here to last. And the next woman who tries to use me as a stepping stone? I’ll make her a headline and a memory on the same night.”
Julian Furnace: “Consider this your public service announcement from Hot Stuff Inc.: Invest in fire insurance.”
[Veronica tilts the mic down with two fingers, a contemptuous smile.]
Veronica Flame: “Class dismissed.”
[They exit frame as Candace Hart looks into camera, stunned.]
Candace Hart: “Back to you at ringside.”
[The arena lights glow bright yellow as “Butterslide Boogie” by The Groove Raiders blasts through the speakers. The fans come alive as Ghee Buttersnaps bursts through the curtain, bouncing with energy and throwing peace signs to the crowd. He high-fives every hand within reach, even taking a selfie with a fan at ringside before leaping up onto the apron with a grin that stretches ear to ear.]
Tony Calibur: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first… from San Diego, California… weighing in at 223 pounds… Ghee Buttersnaps!”
[Ghee hops onto the turnbuckle, pointing to the fans and leading them in a clap-along chant before backflipping into the ring. He struts and dances around, pointing at the entrance ramp with mock bravado, daring the monster to come out.]
Sam Duffy: “That’s what makes Ghee Buttersnaps such a fan favorite—fearless, full of heart, and not backing down from anyone… not even The Yeti.”
Rick Granger: “Fearless or foolish, Sam. Look at him dancing around out there like this is a party—he has no idea what’s about to step through that curtain.”
[The lights cut to black. A guttural roar echoes through the arena as the stage floods with icy blue light. The haunting tones of “Avalanche Dominion” by Frost Requiem begin to play, a slow, ominous dirge that sends a chill down the crowd. Count Vlad emerges first, sharp suit gleaming under the pale light, cane in hand and a wicked smile across his face. At his side slinks Feral, hair wild, eyes manic, snapping her head toward the audience with feral snarls. Finally, the curtain parts to reveal The Yeti—a towering, hulking monster stomping down the ramp, breath misting in the cold air, his shadow engulfing the aisle.]
Tony Calibur: “And his opponent… accompanied to the ring by Feral and Count Vlad… from the frozen wastelands of the Himalayas… weighing in at 385 pounds… The Yeti!”
[Vlad points his cane toward the ring, directing traffic as Feral screeches and crawls halfway up the apron before dropping back down to pace ringside like a predator. The Yeti lumbers forward with heavy steps, pounding his chest as snow-like flakes fall from the rafters. When he reaches the apron, he pulls himself up with both hands, shaking the ropes as the entire ring shudders.]
Sam Duffy: “Look at the size of him! The Yeti is a monster—and with Feral and Vlad at his side, Ghee Buttersnaps is practically walking into an ambush.”
Rick Granger: “Ambush? No, Sam. This is strategy. Ghee wanted to dance his way into danger—well, he’s about to find out that when the avalanche comes down, the music stops.”
[The Yeti steps over the ropes, standing tall in the ring as Ghee keeps bouncing on his toes, refusing to back down. Vlad takes his spot at ringside with Feral, both smirking with cruel anticipation as the referee signals for the bell.]
Match #4: The Yeti w/Feral and Count Vlad vs Ghee Buttersnaps
Sam Duffy: “That’s the heart of Ghee Buttersnaps! He knows he’s outmatched, but he’s not backing down from the biggest monster in HCW!”
Rick Granger: “Heart doesn’t win fights, Sam. Size and savagery do—and Yeti’s got both.”
The Yeti shook off the early flurries with sheer brute force, dropping Ghee with headlocks, smashes, and a brutal tombstone piledriver. But instead of finishing it quickly, he seemed to relish the punishment, dragging the match on like a predator toying with its prey. Feral shrieked and pounded the mat at ringside, while Vlad leaned on his cane, directing the action like a conductor.
At one point, Ghee nearly turned the tide with a bearhug of his own, drawing a gasp from the crowd, but Yeti muscled out and slammed him down. Vlad twice used his trademark “Evil Eye” distraction to keep Ghee on the defensive, allowing Yeti to press the advantage. Still, the resilient underdog kept kicking out, firing back with hope spots—a corner smash here, a belly-to-back suplex there—that had the fans roaring with belief.
Sam Duffy: “Look at this place! They believe Ghee can pull it off!”
Rick Granger: “Fools. They don’t understand—Yeti’s just playing with him.”
As the match passed the fifteen-minute mark, Yeti planted Ghee with yet another tombstone and a crushing bearhug, each time smirking as he released the hold instead of ending it. Finally, after nearly eighteen minutes of torment, Yeti hoisted Ghee up one last time and delivered a thunderous Power Smash, folding him in half.
“Honest” Abe counted the fall—one, two, three—and The Yeti stood tall, chest heaving, arms raised as Feral cackled and Vlad applauded proudly.
Sam Duffy: “Eighteen minutes, Rick. Eighteen minutes of the Yeti toying with Ghee Buttersnaps like a lion with its prey.”
Rick Granger: “And that’s the scary part, Sam—if this was Yeti at half-speed, imagine what happens when he decides to go full avalanche.”
[The Dominion trio stood united in the ring, looming over the fallen Ghee Buttersnaps as the crowd showered them in boos.]
Owen Vignette #2
[The ring crew clears after Yeti vs. Ghee. The crowd is buzzing for the U.S. Title.]
Sam Duffy: “Fans, before we get to tonight’s U.S. Title main event, let’s take one more look at the relentless preparation of Owen Zestwell.”
[Cut to second vignette: Owen doing sit-ups with a medicine ball, sprinting through rain, hammering heavy bags, and finishing with him raising his arms atop the steps he’s conquered. The music crescendos, Rocky-style.]
Rick Granger (voiceover): “You can’t fake this. Sweat, pain, hours on hours—this guy’s burning himself down to the bone just to be better.”
[Back to the announce table.]
Sam Duffy: “And while Owen sharpens himself for the battles to come, we’ve got a battle right here tonight—Wilber ‘Terror Fang’ Townsend putting his U.S. Title on the line against Sterling Silverman!”
Rick Granger: “And you better believe Wilber doesn’t care how many steps Owen runs—because he’s about to take Sterling down to the depths.”
The Morton Report – Special Segment
[The screen cuts to Larry Morton in his trademark blazer, standing in a dim backstage set with a HCW Voltage banner. Beside him are Count Vlad, impeccable in a dark tailored suit with his cane in hand, and Wilber “Terror Fang” Townsend, looming with the U.S. Title draped over his shoulder.]
Larry Morton: “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another edition of The Morton Report. And tonight, I’m joined by the mastermind of the Dark Dominion, Count Vlad… and the man he’s entrusted with the United States Championship, Wilber Townsend. Gentlemen, the question everyone’s asking: can Wilber walk out of Columbia still champion, or will Sterling Silverman shock the world?”
[Wilber growls, clutching the belt tighter. Vlad smirks, stepping in before his protégé can answer.]
Count Vlad: “Shock the world? Larry, do not insult my intelligence. Sterling Silverman is not a shock, he is not a storm—he is a whisper. A desperate man clinging to wealth and arrogance, nothing more. Tonight, Wilber…
Terror Fang itself… will not just defend this title. He will defend the Dominion’s honor.”
Wilber Townsend (low, raspy, Wyatt-style drawl):
“Sterling… you can flash your money, polish your shoes, and shine your teeth. But you can’t shine away the dark. This title is mine, it’s ours, and tonight… you’ll drown in the black.”
[Larry leans in, giving that classic skeptical look.]
Larry Morton: “Strong words—but Sterling’s got a reputation for doing whatever it takes. Count Vlad, if he pulls out a trick or two, are you worried—”
[Vlad cuts him off, chuckling like he’s in control of the entire situation.]
Count Vlad: “Worried? Larry… I do not worry. Others worry about me. And when Wilber stands over Sterling’s broken body, clutching this title… the world will remember again why the Dark Dominion holds all the power.”
[Wilber slaps the U.S. Title hard against his chest with a thunderous thud. Vlad leans closer to the camera with a wolfish grin.]
Count Vlad: “Tonight, Sterling Silverman… the Dominion collects.”
[The segment fades as Larry gives a wary glance toward the camera.]
[The arena lights dim to a sleek silver hue as “Trust Fund Frenzy” by Golden Standard blasts across the PA. A spotlight hits the entrance as Sterling Silverman struts onto the stage in a custom designer robe, rhinestones glittering under the lights. He smirks, twirling a golden cane as if he’s already champion. The crowd rains down boos, which Sterling soaks in like applause, blowing kisses and gesturing to his waist as though the belt already belongs to him.]
Tony Calibur: “The following contest is your main event of the evening and it is for the United States Championship! Introducing first, the challenger… from Manhattan, New York… weighing in at 235 pounds… Sterling Silverman!”
[Sterling struts to the ring, barking at fans about “real money, real class,” before stepping onto the apron. He wipes his feet exaggeratedly before entering, then strikes a pose in the center of the ring, arms wide as if demanding everyone admire him.]
Sam Duffy: “Silverman has been running his mouth for weeks, Rick. Tonight, it’s put-up or shut-up time.”
Rick Granger: “Oh, he’ll put up, Sam. The Dominion doesn’t own every belt forever—Sterling Silverman is the man to pry this one away. You’re looking at the next U.S. Champion!”
[Suddenly, the lights cut to pitch black. The opening haunting notes of “Black Sermon” by Hollow Veil echo through the arena. The crowd buzzes as the stage begins to glow with flickering lantern light. Out of the darkness emerges Count Vlad, cane in hand, smiling with sinister pride. Behind him looms Wilber “Terror Fang” Townsend, hood drawn low, moving slowly, deliberately, as the crowd’s boos grow louder. He clutches the U.S. Title tight to his chest, whispering to it before raising it to the sky. Fog seeps across the ramp as the pair make their eerie march.]
Tony Calibur: “And his opponent… accompanied to the ring by Count Vlad… from the darkest reaches of the Dominion… weighing in at 278 pounds… he is the reigning, defending United States Champion… Wilber ‘Terror Fang’ Townsend!”
[Wilber stalks forward, every step deliberate, the lantern’s glow casting shadows across his face. He climbs onto the apron slowly, resting his head against the middle rope for a moment before whipping himself upright, hood thrown back, eyes wild. He steps into the ring and sets the lantern in the corner, then falls to his knees, stretching his arms wide in reverence to the darkness as Vlad applauds. The lights surge back on with a boom, revealing Sterling glaring across the ring, unimpressed.]
Sam Duffy: “That entrance never fails to send chills down my spine. Townsend is a man possessed, and with Count Vlad orchestrating things, you know the Dominion has a plan.”
Rick Granger: “Forget chills, Sam—this is domination made flesh. Sterling Silverman might be rich, but Wilber Townsend is priceless when it comes to destruction. That’s why Vlad trusts him with the gold.”
[Referee “Honest” Abe holds the U.S. Title high as Sterling points to his waist, mouthing “mine” while Wilber rocks back and forth in the corner, grinning eerily. The bell is moments away.]
Match #5: The Main Event: Wilber Townsend w/Count Vlad defends the US title vs Sterling Silverman
Sterling Silverman wasted no time, drilling the champion with a Stock Market Crash Piledriver right out of the gate. The Columbia crowd gasped as it looked like we were about to witness a huge upset within the first minute.
Sam Duffy: “Sterling Silverman nearly stole it! The champ was almost done before this match even started!”
Rick Granger: “No, Sam—that’s called strategy. Silverman is showing everyone he’s smarter than the Dominion!”
But Wilber Townsend shook it off, answering back with a vicious forearm smash and a scoop powerslam that rattled the ring. Still, Sterling matched him blow for blow, hammering the champion with a Digital Decimator and a series of suplexes that had the fans believing in a miracle.
At ringside, Count Vlad waved his cane like a conductor, orchestrating every moment. And then—Feral leapt onto the apron, shrieking and clawing at the referee’s attention just as Wilber was staggering. This gave Vlad the opening to flash his dreaded Evil Eye, stunning Sterling long enough for Wilber to catch his breath.
Sam Duffy: “There it is—the numbers game again! Feral screaming, Vlad distracting the ref—it’s never just a fair fight with the Dominion!”
Rick Granger: “That’s called using your resources, Sam. Don’t hate the player, hate the genius.”
Sterling fought back valiantly, connecting with another underhook suplex, but the damage was done. Wilber scooped him up, drove him into the mat with a Lifting Sideslam, and hooked the leg.
“Honest” Abe: ONE… TWO… THREE!
The bell rang as Count Vlad climbed onto the apron, grinning ear to ear. Feral slid into the ring on all fours, snarling at Sterling’s prone body, while Wilber clutched the U.S. Title tight against his chest, rocking back and forth with a wicked smile.
Tony Calibur: “Here is your winner, and still United States Champion… Wilber ‘Terror Fang’ Townsend!”
Sam Duffy: “Sterling Silverman had it! He had Wilber on the ropes, but once again, the Dominion stacks the deck. Feral and Vlad handed Wilber the win on a silver platter.”
Rick Granger: “Wrong, Sam. What you saw was dominance. What you saw was power. And what you saw was why the Dominion holds the gold.”
[The camera lingers on the sinister trio—Vlad raising Wilber’s arm, Feral crawling at his feet, Sterling left broken in the corner as the crowd boos thunderously.]
Sam Duffy: “Another championship retained under Dominion Law. Who can stop them?”
Rick Granger: “Nobody, Sam. Nobody.”
[The screen fades to black with the image of Wilber rocking with the U.S. Title, Vlad’s grin filling the shot, and the final words:]
Sam Duffy: “Fans, thanks for joining us here tonight on HCW Voltage. Stay tuned to see what happens next.”
