Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. It was bound to happen sooner or later but HCW is ON THE ROAD. That’s right, tonight’s show takes place in Dallas, TX. Tonight, US Champion Wilber Townsend will be defending his title against Superstar Chic Monroe. Also on the card, the man who Wilber beat for the title, Jack Lumber, will also be in action. If these two cross paths, it is abundantly clear that a scuffle may ensue.
Mr.
X shows up early because he heard he was going to be on the card tonight but as
soon as he got to the arena, he finds out that his match has been bumped to
next week. He storms out of the
building.
The
show kicks off with some pyro and this one is ready to get underway.
Match #1: Starbuck Steel vs Madman Mason
Madman
Mason makes his way out first to massive booing from the crowd. He gets into the ring and continues to work
the crowd. The music changes and out
comes Starbuck Steel. The fans pop huge
for him and he makes his way to the ring.
The match starts almost immediately with Starbuck getting the upper hand
for the first 5 minutes but then Mason hits the Psychotic Break at the 6 min
mark and the pace of the match swung his way.
Starbuck eventually regained control of the match and at the 15 minute
mark, he hit Mason with the Shooting Star Buck and was able to get the
1-2-3. Starbuck gets the win and the
fans pop huge for him. Just when it
looked like Mason was going to try to attack him after the bell, out comes the
Alaskan Wildman Jax Brenner and he goes right after Mason. Mason barely escapes Jax’s reach and rushes
to the back with the Wildman in tow.
We
cut backstage where Hayley Hailstorm, Luna Shadow and Korbi Kong are discussing
who should get the next title shot at Ladies Champion Luciana Albano. GM Max McGillicutty walks over and says that
the best way to pick someone is for them to earn it. He says the three of them will be in a triple
threat match with the winner getting the next title shot. The ladies all nod in agreement and go their
separate ways until their match later.
Match #2: Alejandro Guerrero vs Matches Malone.
Matches
Malone comes out first and starts to get a mixed reaction from the crowd until
he started flicking match sticks at them and then they all turned on him. He laughed and made his way into the ring. After some continued taunting of the crowd,
the music changed and out comes Alejandro Guerrero. ‘Lee’ makes his way out to a nice pop from
the crowd. He shakes hands with the fans
and makes his way into the ring.

gets the win and the fans pop huge for him.
Just then, he is blindsided by Col. Flagg who begins beating him
down. Alejandro eventually gains his
composure and hurls Flagg over the top rope to the cold floor below. Lee gets on the mic and challenges Flagg to a
match at the ‘Go Home Show’ on 2/18.
Flagg accepts but states that the match will be under his rules and he
will choose the stipulation. Flagg walks
off. Alejandro interacts with the fans
before departing.
Match #3: Ladies title qualifier: Hayley Hailstorm vs Luna Shadow vs Korbi Kong
(no DQ)
Each
lady make their way out to their own music.
Luna came out first, followed by Korbi Kong and then Hayley
Hailstorm. Just before the match began,
Ladies Champion Luciana Albano comes out to a massive disapproval from the
crowd. She flips them off and goes to
sit at commentary where she’ll scout the match to see who will be her next
‘victim’.
In
the first minute of the match, Korbi was on the outside of the ropes when
Luciana rushed over and pulled her from the apron and then hurled her viciously
into the steel steps. She effectively
took Korbi out of the match so it really just became Hayley vs Luna. Korbi was helped to the back letting the match
continue without her.

cut backstage for a promo from US Champion Wilber Townsend.
[The dimly lit backstage area is
cloaked in an eerie atmosphere, with flickering lights casting unsettling
shadows. HCW US Champion Wilber Townsend, with his enigmatic aura reminiscent
of Bray Wyatt, stands in front of the camera. The air is thick with mystery as
he begins his unsettling promo.]
Wilber Townsend: (speaking in a
slow, haunting tone) Welcome, my friends, to the shadows where reality dances
with the macabre, and the darkness sings its sweet lullaby. Tonight, I invite
you to step into the realm where nightmares are born, where the veil between
the seen and the unseen becomes as thin as the fabric of your reality.
[Wilber's eyes pierce through the
darkness, locking onto the camera with an intensity that sends shivers down the
spine.]
Wilber Townsend: I am the harbinger
of shadows, the keeper of secrets, and the US Champion in this theater of the
bizarre. Tonight, as I cradle this title close to my chest, know that it is not
just a symbol of victory; it is a gateway to the unknown, a key to the
forbidden corners of your imagination.
[He pauses, letting the silence
linger before continuing with an eerie grin.]
Wilber Townsend: You see, champions
come and go, but the essence of darkness is eternal. I am the embodiment of
your deepest fears, the whispers that crawl beneath your skin when you're alone
in the silence of the night. They call me Wilber Townsend, but in the shadows,
I am so much more. I am the puppeteer, and this championship is my marionette,
dancing to the rhythm of the unseen forces that guide me.
[The camera zooms in, capturing the
intensity in Wilber's gaze.]
Wilber Townsend: In the ring, I am
your nightmare manifest, a confluence of fear and fascination. The path to my

darkness. Tonight, as I hold this US Championship high above my head, know that

[The unsettling whispers of a
haunting melody echo in the background as Wilber Townsend fades into the
shadows, leaving the viewers with a lingering sense of unease.]
We
head back to the ring for our next match.
Match #4: Jack Lumber vs Marvin Barnes
“I’ve
got some Bad News for ya” blares out of the speakers and out comes Marvin
Barnes. He is booed heavily as he makes
his way to the ring. He sees a fan with
a Jack Lumber sign and he grabs it tearing it up. He laughs as he throws the pieces back at the
fan. He makes his way into the ring and
continues to berate the fans until “TIMMMBERRRRR” echoes through the arena and
the fans explode as the flannel wearing lumberjack Jack Lumber makes his way out. He immediately makes his way over to the fan
who had the sign torn up and invites the family to go sit in the Lumber
Lounge. After getting them situated, he
turns his attention back to Marvin who is waiting impatiently in the ring.

Chic Monroe comes out first to a decent pop from the crowd. Once in the ring, the music changes to an
eerie tune and out comes the US Champion Wilber Townsend wearing his creepy
half-melted Pennywise the clown mask. Wilber
stops at the Lumber Lounge and just stares at Jack before starting to laugh and
continuing his way to the ring. Monroe
wants to get the upper hand over the diabolical Wilber so he goes right on the
offensive. Wilber immediate turned the
tide but Chic got control back at the 17 minute mark.

as the show is about to come to an end, we get a visit from the HCW Hardcore
Champion Tommy ‘the Morningstar’ Sullivan.
Sullivan comes out to massive booing from the crowd and makes his way to
the ring. He demands a mic.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and
girls, gather 'round because the Morningstar is about to light this place up!
Tommy Sullivan, your HCW Hardcore Champion, the man who brings the pain, the
chaos, and the glory right to your doorstep. Now, let me address the man who THINKS
he has ANY pull around here, Steel City Wrestling Commissioner Shane Douglas.
Shane, Shane, Shane, you've got your nose in everyone's business, but it's time
you learned you have NO say-so whatsoever.
You see, Shane, sticking your nose
where it doesn't belong and making decisions that impact ME don't sit right
with the Morningstar. You think you can control the chaos, but you forget that
chaos is my domain. You may be the commissioner of that Podunk federation of
yours, but I am the HCW Hardcore Champion, and that means I make the rules when
it comes to pain and suffering in this ring.
And speaking of things that make me
laugh, let's talk about the Dallas Cowboys. Oh, what a sorry excuse for a team!
You had the golden opportunity to make it to the playoffs, and what do you do?
You fumble it away like a bunch of amateurs. It's almost as embarrassing as
Shane Douglas trying to run his promotion.
Now, I know some of you out there
might be Cowboys fans, but let's face it, your team couldn't catch a break if
it was handed to them on a silver platter. Just like Shane Douglas, always
dropping the ball when it matters most.
So, Shane, listen up. You may think
you're in control, but I'm here to remind you that the Hardcore Championship
means chaos, and chaos is what I bring. And as for the Dallas Cowboys, well,
maybe they should take a page out of my book and learn what it means to be a
true champion. The Morningstar has spoken, and the chaos continues!
Tommy
drops the mic and begins to leave until new music hits and…holy crap…three of
Steel City’s Finest, Elias, Sam Adonis, and Lee Moriarty appear on stage.
Elias: Well, well, well, if it isn't
our old buddy Tommy 'the Morningstar.' Still causing chaos and mayhem wherever
you go, huh?
Sam Adonis: (laughs) You know, we
couldn't resist dropping by when we heard you were spewing your nonsense about
Commissioner Shane Douglas and the Dallas Cowboys (the crowd pops).
Lee Moriarty: But, Tommy, we're not
alone tonight. We've got some backup, someone you might remember from the good
old days in SCW.
[The crowd buzzes with curiosity as
the unmistakable Olympic theme blares through the speakers. The one and only
Kurt Angle steps out, the SCW Championship proudly displayed around his waist.
The crowd goes wild as the gold medalist makes his way to the ring, joining
Elias, Sam Adonis, and Lee Moriarty.] Kurt smiles and
looks out at the crowd…a crowd he hasn’t had a chance to wrestle in front of since
‘the Board’ (representing WWE, TNA and ROH) ceased all dealings with the HWF
and pulled all talent (back in 2016).
Kurt Angle: Tommy, Tommy, Tommy.
It's been a while, hasn't it? SCW might be in the past, but some things never
change. You see, we're here to remind you of where you came from and who your
true competition is. (The fans boo him at the cheap shot he’s
taking against HCW).
[Elias, Sam and Lee all head to the
ring with Kurt in tow. The tension
escalates as the SCW faction surrounds Tommy Sullivan in the ring. Just when it
seems like a full-blown brawl is about to break out, the arena goes dark.
Suddenly, the eerie music of Azrael hits, and the enigmatic figure emerges,
followed by the menacing Dr. Red Fang. The crowd is torn between boos and
cheers as the two teammates of Tommy storm the ring, with the Ambassador
following behind them.]
Ambassador: (smirking) Tommy, my
friend, it seems you've attracted some unwanted attention. But fear not, for
Azrael and Dr. Red Fang stand by your side. Let the chaos begin!
[Without warning, chaos ensues. The
SCW wrestlers, led by Elias, Sam Adonis, and Lee Moriarty, attack Tommy
Sullivan. The crowd roars as the assault intensifies. However, just when it
seems like Tommy is overwhelmed, Azrael and Dr. Red Fang storm the ring,
evening the odds. The arena is filled with the sounds of a fierce brawl as the
two factions collide.]
[The entire referee contingent of
HCW runs out to separate the teams. The
wrestlers from both factions stand tall, glaring at each other. The crowd is on
its feet, unsure of what will happen next. The tension is palpable as the two
factions, one led by Tommy with Azrael and Dr. Red Fang, and the other by SCW
wrestlers, engage in a heated stare down, setting the stage for an intense
rivalry in the coming weeks.]
[The show ends with a standoff
between the two factions, leaving the fans eagerly anticipating the chaos that
will undoubtedly unfold in the days to come.]
