Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. Tonight, we are proud to bring you Day 2 of our Zero Hour Premium Live Event…nah, PPV sounds better. The show kicks off with pyro going off and the spotlights zipping over the fans in the audience. GM Max McGillicutty comes out first to a huge pop from the crowd. Max thanks the fans here and at home for making Zero Hour Day One such a huge success. Max says that before they can get to the action, he has someone who would like to come out and address the HCW Universe. He steps aside and out comes:
VIOLET
VALKYRIE! The fans pop huge as Violet
comes out and stands on the stage. The
crowd’s pop is deafening. She stands
there for a minute just soaking it all in.
She wipes a tear from her eye and begins the walk to the ring. She is moving a little slower than normal but
that was to be expected after the attack on her by (the now NEW Ladies
Champion) Luciana Albano. Violet is
overcome with emotion and the fans don’t let up. In fact, they just keep going. She raises her hand and the crowd begins to
simmer down.
The camera focuses on the center of the ring, where a
spotlight shines on Violet Valkyrie, clad in her iconic gear, but with visible
signs of the injuries she sustained at the hands of Luciana Albano. The crowd,
aware of the severity of the situation, falls silent as Violet raises the
microphone to her lips.]
Violet Valkyrie: Ladies and
gentlemen, my dear fans, it's with a heavy heart and a spirit filled with
gratitude that I stand before you tonight. For years, we've shared a journey -
a journey of triumphs, defeats, and moments that will forever be etched in the
tapestry of our memories.
[The crowd, sensing the emotional
weight of the moment, offers a respectful applause.]
Violet Valkyrie: It's not easy for
me to say these words, but the time has come for me to hang up my boots and bid
farewell to the ring. As many of you know, the path of a warrior is fraught
with challenges, and sometimes those challenges leave scars that run deeper
than the surface.
[She takes a deep breath, steadying
herself.]
Violet Valkyrie: Luciana Albano, a
force of nature in the ring, crossed a line that no one should ever cross. Her
actions have not only left physical wounds but have taken a toll on my spirit.
After much reflection and consultation with medical professionals, I've come to
the painful decision that I can no longer continue to compete.
[The crowd reacts with a mixture of
sadness and anger.]
Violet Valkyrie: Luciana, you may
have thought you could break me, but you failed. You failed because you
underestimated the true strength that resides in the heart of a Valkyrie. I may
be leaving the squared circle, but my spirit will live on in each and every one
of you.
[She looks out at the crowd, tears
welling in her eyes.]
Violet Valkyrie: To my fans, thank
you. Thank you for your unwavering support, for standing by me in the best of
times and the worst. It's because of you that I've been able to live out my
dream, and I am eternally grateful.
[The audience erupts in applause,
expressing their gratitude for the incredible moments Violet Valkyrie has
shared with them.]
Violet Valkyrie: As I step away from
the spotlight, remember that the Valkyrie spirit lives on. Cherish the moments
we've shared, and continue to support the incredible athletes who pour their hearts
into this sport. This is not a goodbye; it's a 'see you later.'
[With a salute to the crowd, Violet
Valkyrie exits the ring, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered in the
annals of wrestling history.]
A
“Thank You Violet” chant rings through the entire building. The fans are giving her a standing
ovation. She walks up the ramp and gives
GM Max McGillicutty a hug. She turns one
last time to give the fans a salute and then heads backstage. Max says “Let the Show Begin!” and he heads
to the back also.
Match #1: Madman
Mason vs Adam Jameson – rematch – specialty
Recently,
Mason lost a match that he was clearly winning against Adam Jameson and he
could not let that loss sit. It just
kept eating at him until he got Adam to agree to a rematch. The Madman wants to dish out pain and
suffering so the match type will be a Bunkhouse Stampede rules match.
Right
off the bat, Adam cracked Mason with a microphone blooding him up. He followed it up by strangling him with a
lasso. He went for a pin early but Mason
kicked out. A few minutes later, Jameson
hits the Adam Bomb and goes for the pin only for Mason to kick out at 2. Mason battled back and using a trash can lid,
hit a bionic elbow and the Psychotic Break.
He follows it up with a powerbomb and goes for the pin but only gets a 1
count. Mason goes for another powerbomb
but Adam reverses it and takes Mason down with a spin kick. Mason tries for an overhead belly to belly
suplex but Adam nullifies it. A few
minutes later, Adam connects with an Armlock Facebuster and gets a 2
count. Mason throws Adam out of the ring
and immediately goes to remove the turnbuckle cover. Adam is back in quickly and hits Mason with a
spin kick that sent Mason into the exposed bracket knocking him out. Adam goes for the pin and gets the 3
count. He stands back and lets the ref
count. The ref counts to 10 and declares
Adam the winner via KO. Adam celebrates
and heads to the back. A few refs try to
wake up Mason and as he regains consciousness, realization sets in and he
realizes he lost…again. He goes berserk
taking out all the refs. He then storms
to the back. (16 min)
Match #2: Maximillian
Redbeard vs Dr. Red Fang w/the Ambassador
We start off our
next match with Dr. Red Fang and his manager the Ambassador coming out first to
the annoying “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY”.
Fang is booed heavily as he and his manager make their way into the
ring. The music changes and out comes Maximillian
Redbeard. Redbeard powerwalks to the
ring and climbs over the top rope. The
match begins immediately.
Maximillian Redbeard opened the
match on the defensive being met with Dr. Red Fang's VAMPIRE LUNGE, securing an
early lead. Redbeard, resilient and undeterred, absorbed the attack.
As the battle unfolded, Redbeard sought
to turn the tide, rolling again to face Dr. Red Fang. However, the evil vampire
unleashed a devastating SPIDER WEB LEGLOCK. Redbeard struggled against the
formidable move.
The match took a dramatic turn as
Maximillian Redbeard executed a MAC ATTACK, earning him a surge in points. The
diabolical Ambassador, ever the opportunist, intervened with a foreign object.
The cunning duo spared no underhanded tactic.
Redbeard continued his offense,
executing a HEAVE INTO CROWD. Dr. Red Fang, caught off guard, found himself
outside the ring as the referee began the count. With sheer determination, the
vampire made it back just in time to keep the contest alive.
As the bout reached its midpoint,
both competitors raised the stakes. Redbeard's KNOGGIN STOMP and Dr. Red Fang's
SPIDER WEB LEGLOCK showcased their prowess. A pin attempt by Redbeard was met
with a resilient kickout from Dr. Red Fang, further intensifying the struggle.
In the subsequent rounds, the
wrestlers exchanged a flurry of moves, including HIP TOSS, SHOULDER SMASH, and
SKULL CRUSHER reflecting the back-and-forth nature of the contest.
In the final moments, desperation
filled the air as Redbeard attempted a HEAVE INTO CROWD, only to have Dr. Red
Fang reverse it into a DROPKICK OUT OF THE RING. The vampire seized the
opportunity and went for the pin, with the referee's count sealing Redbeard's
fate. The crowd erupted in a chorus of boos as Dr. Red Fang emerged victorious,
securing the win with a DROPKICK OUT OF THE RING and the sinister approval of
the Ambassador. (9 min)
The laceration
Jack Lumber sustained in his battle against Wilber Townsend was tended to
fairly quickly by medics and Jack appears to be ok except for the fact he lost
his title.
Match #3: Baron
von Blood vs ‘The Magnificent One’ Juan Raul Fargo
Our next match
continues the fast pace of our show.
‘The Magnificent One’ Juan Raul Fargo makes his way out to a nice pop
from the crowd. He shakes hands with
fans around the ring and then makes his way into the ring. The music changes and out comes 5th
Column member Baron von Blood. Blood is
joined by Oswald Zimmerman. The duo head
to the ring but the ref immediately sends Oswald to the back to make him a
non-factor in this match. Baron wanted
to make a name for himself by jumping JR Fargo so the Magnificent One is ready
to show him what he’s up against.

JR Fargo gets the
win and the fans pop huge for him. After
having his arm raised as the victor, he leaves the ring and heads to the back.
After the match,
Baron recovered and started to make his way to the back but he stops and approaches
a fan and starts to berate him and make fun of him in front of his partner – a
very young and beautiful woman. This fan
then stands up and HOLY CRAP…this guy is ginormous. Blood
sees the towering figure before him and starts to back off.
We immediately cut
backstage to GM Max McGillicutty’s office. He is on the phone with someone, presumably a
recruiting agent. He tells the person to
go get that fan and his companion and bring them to his office.
Backstage in the heart of the HCW
chaos, The Banker, adorned in his signature suit, stood ready for an interview
ahead of his match against Dominic Marconi. However, a noticeable tension
lingered in the air as his usually focused manager, Ruth Heartless, appeared
preoccupied with something in the distance.
*Interviewer*: "The Banker,
tonight you're facing Dominic Marconi in what's sure to be a high-stakes match.
What are your thoughts going into this confrontation?"
*The Banker*: "Dominic Marconi
is just another stepping stone on my path to dominance here in HCW. Tonight, he
will learn the harsh reality of facing The Banker."
As The Banker spoke, he couldn't
help but glance at Ruth, who seemed distracted by an unseen concern.
*Interviewer*: "Ruth Heartless,
your longtime manager, seems a bit preoccupied. Is everything alright between
you two?"
*The Banker (with a subtle frown)*:
"Ruth has her own way of handling things. Tonight, my focus is on Marconi.
But it's clear she's got something on her mind."
*Ruth Heartless (muttering to
herself)*: "I can't believe this. Unbelievable!"
The murmurs from Ruth disrupted The
Banker's concentration, and for a moment, he lost his rhythm in the interview.
*Interviewer*: "Is there
something you'd like to share, Ruth? It seems like there might be a developing
story here."
*Ruth Heartless (looking
frustrated)*: "Not now. I'll deal with it later."
The Banker, visibly annoyed by the
unexpected distraction, tried to steer the conversation back to his upcoming
match.
*The Banker (regaining composure)*:
"Tonight, Marconi will experience firsthand what happens when you cross
paths with The Banker. Ruth and I, we're on the same page when it comes to
success in HCW. Nothing will change that."
However, the uncertainty in the air
hinted at a potential rift between The Banker and Ruth Heartless, leaving fans
wondering if their alliance was as solid as it once seemed. As The Banker
headed toward the ring, the backstage drama added an intriguing layer to the
unfolding narrative in the HCW.
Match #4: Six
Man title match: Phantom Frank, Casper
Wyoming & Dennis Marshall vs the Albano Family
The Albano Family
(Aldo & Carlo Albano and Rigg A Mortis) come out with Pierre Boulay to
massive boos from the crowd. Pierre
mouths that we are looking at the new 6 Man Tag Team Champs. They head to the ring and the booing
intensifies. They get in the ring and
begin mocking the crowd. After a moment,
the music changes and the fans pop for the champs – Phantom Frank, Casper
Wyoming and Dennis Marshall. The trio head
to the ring each man wearing their title.
They shake hands with the fans and make their way into the ring. The champs hold the titles high and then hand
them to the ref so the match can begin.
In the heart of the electrifying
wrestling arena, the 6 Man Tag Team Championship match unfolded, featuring the
valiant champions Phantom Frank, Casper Wyoming, and Dennis Marshall against
their formidable foes—the notorious Albano Family comprising Aldo and Carlo
Albano, and the enigmatic Rigg A Mortis. Guided by their cunning manager,
Pierre Boulay, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation.
Right from the start, Phantom Frank
engaged in a gripping encounter with Aldo Albano, showcasing his prowess with
THE GHOSTLY GRASP (REAR NAKED CHOKE). The move not only demonstrated Frank's
skill but also revealed Aldo Albano's unyielding spirit as he resisted the
submission.
The action intensified as Phantom
Frank unleashed THE CRAIN KICK (KARATE KID) upon Aldo Albano, signaling a
strategic tag-out to Dennis Marshall and setting the stage for the next chapter
of the contest.
Chaos ensued within the ring as
Dennis Marshall and Aldo Albano engaged in a hard-hitting battle, experimenting
with double-team maneuvers. Unfortunately, the interference of Pierre Boulay
disrupted the proceedings, resulting in an unfortunate injury to Casper
Wyoming.
Undeterred, Dennis Marshall pressed
forward, executing a punishing DOUBLE-KNEE FACEBREAKER. Despite Aldo Albano's
tenacity and Pierre Boulay's underhanded tactics, the champions found it
challenging to gain a decisive advantage.
Regrouping, the champions launched a
coordinated assault with the HEAD STONE double team. Phantom Frank and Dennis
Marshall delivered a relentless barrage, putting the Albano Family on the
defensive.
The subsequent sequences witnessed a
seesaw battle, with both teams employing various maneuvers. Despite Casper
Wyoming's injury, the champions showcased resilience, executing moves like
CORNER STOMPS and CORNER HEADSTAND HEADSCISSORS, highlighting their teamwork
against the formidable opposition.
Pierre Boulay seized an opportunity
for a CHEAP SHOT in the ongoing struggle, targeting Dennis Marshall.
Nevertheless, the determined Marshall absorbed the punishment, displaying his
unwavering commitment to the match.
As the contest progressed, the
champions continued their offensive onslaught, employing double-team tactics
such as the WILD CARD maneuver by Casper Wyoming. Rigg A Mortis and the Albano
Family, in response, countered with impactful moves like ROUNDHOUSE KICK and
KICK FOE IN THE RIBS.
The narrative reached a critical
juncture as Carlo Albano delivered a brutal KICK FOE IN THE RIBS against Dennis
Marshall. Despite the adversity, Marshall persevered, maintaining his
resilience in the face of the Albano Family's onslaught.
After enduring several rounds of
injury, Casper Wyoming made a triumphant return to the action. The champions
united for a powerful offensive surge, executing synchronized moves like
UNDERWORLD (ENRAGED BEATDOWN) and DOUBLE AXHANDLE CHOP.
Phantom Frank reentered the ring to
face Rigg A Mortis in the ongoing struggle, unleashing the deadly DEATH NECK
GRIP. However, Rigg A Mortis countered with a VERTICAL DROP DDT, heightening
the intensity of the battle.
The action continued with intense
moves like the SPINE SHATTER and GRIM REAPER SQUEEZE, demonstrating the determination
of both Phantom Frank and Rigg A Mortis. The tide turned once again as Rigg A
Mortis executed a devastating SMASH FOE WITH CHAIR, securing victory for his
team by pinning Casper Wyoming.
The Albano Family, with their
diabolical manager Pierre Boulay, celebrated their triumph over the 6 Man Tag
Team champions, leaving the arena in a state of shock and anticipation for
future battles in the world of professional wrestling.
The Albano Family
gets the win and have become the NEW 6 Man Tag Team Champions. The fans practically riot. Aldo, Carlo, Rigg and Pierre are joined in
the ring by the NEW Ladies Champion Luciana Albano and the World Tag Team
Champions – the New Sicilians – Dick and Vinnie Albano. The entire Clan stands tall and holds the
portrait of Capt. Lou high. The fans
cannot stand the fact that the Clan has taken the gold. The family just stands there holding the
titles and soaking in the disdain of the fans.
[The camera fades in to the dimly
lit backstage area of the wrestling arena. The Italian Thoroughbred, Dominic
Marconi, is seen pacing back and forth, his eyes focused and determined. He
adjusts the straps on his wrestling gear, ready to address the audience.]
Dominic Marconi: Ladies and
gentlemen, mio amici! Tonight, I stand before you with a burning desire, a
hunger for gold that courses through my veins. I've fought battles, faced
challenges, and conquered obstacles, all to reach the pinnacle of this glorious
sport. And now, I set my sights on a title, a title that signifies excellence,
prestige, and the heart of competition - the TV title!
[The crowd erupts in cheers as
Dominic raises his fist in the air, showcasing his passion.]
Dominic Marconi: But you see, my
path to glory is not paved with gold alone; it is strewn with obstacles and
challenges. Challenges in the form of The Banker, a man who thinks he can
secure victory with a mere swing of his briefcase. Well, my friend, your
financial tricks won't save you from the onslaught that is about to be
unleashed upon you.
[The camera shifts to a clip of The
Banker in action, ruthlessly attacking opponents with his briefcase.]
Dominic Marconi: Banker, you may
enjoy hitting people with that briefcase of yours, but let me assure you, my
friend, that your financial shenanigans won't bail you out when we step into
the ring. You may be a heel, but tonight, you'll find yourself in the presence
of a face that's ready to turn the tables and emerge victorious!
[The crowd roars in anticipation as
Dominic's confidence radiates through his words.]
Dominic Marconi: And Ruth Heartless,
the mastermind behind The Banker's schemes, let me make one thing crystal clear
- your influence won't save him. Tonight, the power of passion and the will of
the people stand with me, and together, we will write a new chapter in the
annals of wrestling history.
[The camera zooms in on Dominic's
determined eyes as he delivers his final message.]

Thoroughbred is ready to gallop into the spotlight, and tonight, The Banker,
you'll understand that no amount of financial strategy can trump the heart of a
true competitor. Get ready for a ride you won't forget, because the TV title is

[The screen fades to black as the
crowd's excitement echoes in the background.]
Match #5: TV
title match: The Banker vs The Italian
Thoroughbred
Dominic Marconi –
the Italian Thoroughbred, makes his way out first to a substantial pop from the
crowd. He shakes hands with the fans and
makes his way to the ring. He enters the
ring and removes his jacket showing off his physique. He does some flexing and then stands back
waiting for his opponent. The
loudspeakers blare out “DENIED” and out comes the Banker and his manager Ruth
Heartless. The TV champ is ready for action
and wears the TV title around his waist.
He and Ruth begin the walk to the ring but Ruth does seem preoccupied;
her mind is not in the here and now. The
Banker gets in the ring and Ruth follow. He hands her the briefcase and removes
the title holding it high as the fans boo the crap out of him. He smirks and then his face reflects a sneer
as he looks over at his challenger. Ruth
exits the ring and the ref holds up the TV title before handing it to the ring
attendant and calls for the match to begin.

Ruth joins him in the ring and he begins questioning why she wasn’t
paying attention. The Banker takes his
title and briefcase and starts to exit.
Ruth follows him out talking to him but the Banker wasn’t paying much
attention.
Backstage, Madman
Mason is getting ready to leave the building when he walks by GM Max
McGillicutty’s office. As he
approaches, the door begins to close but he gets a glimpse of the individuals
talking to Max. He keeps walking and
exits the building. He stopped and
turned but the door had already closed so he could not go back in. He mutters “Molly?” before shaking it off and
continuing on his way.
Backstage Interview with Starbuck Steel:
The backstage area is abuzz with
activity as Starbuck Steel, the HCW World Champion, prepares for his title
defense. The interviewer approaches him, ready to capture his thoughts before
the Zero Hour PPV.
Interviewer: "Starbuck Steel,
tonight you defend your HCW World Championship against the Wicked Prophet.
What's going through your mind as you head into this match?"
Starbuck Steel: "Tonight is a

Prophet has been vocal about reclaiming the title tonight. Any words for
him?"
Starbuck Steel: "Wicked
Prophet, you've embraced the darkness, but you underestimate the power of the
HCW Universe and what this championship means to all of us. When that bell
rings, I'll fight not just for myself but for every fan who believes in
justice. Get ready because, tonight, the light will overcome the darkness, and
this championship stays with Starbuck Steel!"
Starbuck Steel clenches his fist
with determination, says “WORD” and heads towards the curtain for his match.
Backstage Interview with the Wicked Prophet:
The atmosphere backstage takes a
sinister turn as the Wicked Prophet, the ominous heel, is interviewed before
his match against Starbuck Steel.
Interviewer: "Wicked Prophet,
tonight you face Starbuck Steel for the HCW World Championship. What drives you
to reclaim the title?"
The Wicked Prophet: "How about
you just stand there and hold the microphone?
Reclaim? I am here to seize what
rightfully belongs to me. Starbuck Steel parades around with that title,
thinking it symbolizes something noble. In reality, it's just a facade. Power
is what matters, and tonight, the world will witness the rise of the true
harbinger of power – the Wicked Prophet."
Interviewer: "Starbuck Steel
seems confident that justice will prevail. Your response?"
The Wicked Prophet: "Justice is
an illusion, a feeble concept for the weak. Tonight, I'll expose the fallacy of
his ideals. The HCW Universe will witness the fall of their false hero, and I
will ascend to my rightful place at the top. Starbuck Steel, prepare for the
darkness because the reign of the Wicked Prophet begins at Zero Hour."
The Wicked Prophet smirks darkly as
he disappears into the shadows, leaving an air of foreboding behind.
Match #6: The Main Event: World title match: Starbuck Steel vs the Wicked Prophet
The Wicked Prophet
comes out first to a chorus of boos from the fans. He doesn’t care as he makes his way down to
the ring. He gets into the ring and
continues to incite the crowd until the music changed and out comes the World
Champion Starbuck Steel. Starbuck gets
one of the loudest pops of the night. He
shakes hands with the fans as pyro goes off behind him. He makes his way into the ring and climbs the
second turnbuckle holding the title high.
He steps down and hands the title to the ref who holds it high for all
to see. The bell sounds but Starbuck
goes back to the corner turnbuckle and gets the crowd to pop again. Wicked Prophet rushes over and pushes him
from the turnbuckle to the floor below and it looks like Starbuck got hurt. He is very slow to get up. Prophet goes out of the ring and drags him
back in.
Starbuck struggled
to hit a dropkick but that seemed like the wrong thing to do as he fell back to
the mat hurting more than was originally thought. Prophet hits him with the Devil’s Snare. Starbuck is barely moving. The Wicked Prophet locks Starbuck in the
Crucifix Clutch and the ref raises Starbuck’s arm once…it drops. It’s raised a second time…and it drops. He does it one last time…and it drops. The ref calls for the bell and immediately
awards the match to the NEW WORLD CHAMPION the Wicked Prophet. Medics immediately rush out and get Starbuck
on a stretcher and take him to an ambulance waiting in the back. The Wicked Prophet, your NEW WORLD CHAMPION,
stands tall in the ring as the fans practically riot.
The HEELS
rule! Wicked Prophet, World Champion;
Wilber Townsend, US Champion..The Albano Family, holding the World Tag Team
titles, 6 Man Tag team titles and Luciana, the Ladies Champion, have created
their own mafia-like arrangements and stand atop HCW. Who will stop them? We’ll be back in 2024 to answer that question
so stay tuned.
