Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. Tonight, we are proud to present Day 1 of the Zero Hour PPV.
Get ready for a rollercoaster of
excitement as we kick off this epic pay-per-view extravaganza with a lineup

To start off this incredible
journey, brace yourselves for a clash of titans in an I Quit match between
Apollo Gyze and Biceps Bannerman. The intensity will be off the charts as both
warriors put their pride on the line, only at Zero Hour's Day 1.
In a Hardcore title match that will
push the boundaries of brutality, the champ Noah Murphy takes on the formidable
Tommy 'the Morningstar' Sullivan.
The mysterious Mr. X steps into the
spotlight to face the powerful OP Cunningham in a matchup that adds an extra
layer of excitement.
For the coveted US title, champion Jack
Lumber goes head-to-head with the crazed Wilber Townsend in a contest that promises
to leave a lasting impact.
In a battle for tag team supremacy
and championship gold, The New Sicilians collide with The Freedom Fighters,
setting the stage for an explosive Tag Team title match that will have fans on
the edge of their seats.
And in our headline bout for the
Ladies title, Korbi Kong faces Luciana Albano, accompanied by the devious Pierre
Boulay, in a showcase of the incredible talent within our women's division,
marking the pinnacle of Day 1 at Zero Hour.

out event as well to those tuning in from home.
Our two day Premium Live Event will be a perfect ending to 2023 and set
up 2024 to kick off a fantastic new year.
With that out of the way, let’s get this show on the road.
Match #1: Apollo
Gyze vs Biceps Bannerman in an I Quit match
Biceps Bannerman
comes out first and the fans pop for him.
He barely makes it into the ring until the music abruptly changes and we
hear “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE”.
Apollo comes out and is booed heavily.
He smirks as he walks to the ring.
He soaks in the animosity the fans are throwing at him. He actually seems to thrive off it. He gets into the ring and climbs the corner
turnbuckle further instigates the fans.
The ring announcer lets us know the rules for this match are “I Quit”
which means that there is no pin fall.
The only way for someone to win the match is for the competitor to yell
those two words. The two lock up almost
immediately. The two fought hard with
only one submission attempt in the first 19 minutes of the match. We join the match at the 20 min mark.

He keeps squeezing with Apollo screaming “I Quit”. Biceps tells the ref he wants Apollo to utter
those other two words. After a moment of
excruciating pain, Apollo utters the unbelievable: “I apologize”. Biceps releases him and the fans pop as the
giant teddy bear gets the win. He makes
his way to the back. Apollo is helped to the back by the ref wincing the entire
way.
We cut backstage
where Tommy ‘the Morningstar’ Sullivan is with his manager The Ambassador. Tommy says that he was given carte blanche to
come up with the specialty match for his match tonight. He says that before he came to HCW, he ruled
hardcore style and tonight, he brings a piece of that to the ring. He says tonight, the world learns about “the
Morningstar”.
Match #2: Hardcore
title match: Noah Murphy vs Tommy ‘the
Morningstar’ Sullivan
Tommy Sullivan
comes out first and the fans boo him heavily.
It seems the louder the boos, the more confident (arrogant) he appears
to get. Once in the ring, the music
changed and out comes the Hardcore Champion Noah ‘High Flyer’ Murphy. The fans give him a nice pop as he heads to
the ring. Once in the ring, the ring
announcer states that the rules for this match is a “7th Circle of
Hell” match. Tommy mouths that He made
this match famous and promises to make Noah famous by making him another
victim.
In a thrilling showdown for the
Hardcore Championship at Zero Hour's Day 1, fans witnessed an epic battle
between the valiant champion, Noah 'High Flyer' Murphy, and the formidable
challenger, Tommy 'The Morningstar' Sullivan. The match unfolded with a series
of high-impact moves and strategic maneuvers, keeping the audience on the edge
of their seats.
In the opening minutes, both competitors
showcased their agility, with Tommy Sullivan gaining an early lead by executing
a Corkscrew Elbow Drop. However, Noah Murphy quickly retaliated, countering
with a Pumphandle Neckbreaker and a Doomsday Saito Suplex onto a barbed wire
board.
As the match progressed, the two
warriors engaged in a back-and-forth exchange, delivering powerful moves such
as a God's Last Gift Small Package Driver off a ladder by Tommy Sullivan and a
Powerbomb by Noah Murphy. The intensity escalated with each passing moment,
both men determined to emerge victorious.
Entering the final minutes of the
match, Tommy Sullivan secured a substantial lead with a Death Valley Driver. As
the exhausted competitors battled fatigue, Tommy strategically touched all four
corners, sealing his victory with a Death Valley Driver over Noah 'High Flyer'
Murphy.
In a hard-fought contest, Tommy 'The
Morningstar' Sullivan emerged triumphant, claiming the Hardcore Championship on
this explosive night at Zero Hour's Day 1. The crowd erupted in boos as the
victorious Sullivan celebrated his well-deserved championship win in a match
that will surely be remembered for its sheer intensity and dramatic conclusion.

Up on the Omegatron, the camera cuts
to outside where Jack Lumber, the HCW US Champion, is standing tall with a
determined expression on his face.
Jack Lumber: (grinning) Well, well,
well... here we are again, in the heart of the forest, where the trees whisper
secrets and the echoes of battles past still linger. They call me Jack Lumber,
the man who walks softly but carries a big ax. I've been through thick and
thin, faced giants and monsters, but nothing quite like Wilber Townsend.
[The camera transitions to a grainy,
distorted video featuring Wilber Townsend, his eerie laughter echoing in the
background. The screen flickers as his face appears, half-hidden in shadows,
portraying an unsettling mix of menace and madness.]
Wilber Townsend: (softly) Jack
Lumber, my misguided friend. You roam these woods with your noble intentions,
oblivious to the darkness that surrounds you. I am Wilber Townsend, the
harbinger of nightmares, the puppet master pulling the strings of your fate.
When you step into the ring with me, the line between reality and nightmare
blurs.
[Cut back to Jack Lumber, gripping
his championship belt firmly.]
Jack Lumber: Wilber, you may think
you've got the forest on your side, but these trees have seen me fell giants,
and they've witnessed the battles that forged me into the HCW US Champion.
You're not the first to try and cast a shadow over this championship, but
you'll be the first to learn that when the ax swings, it doesn't discriminate
between evil and good.
[The screen flickers again,
transitioning to Wilber Townsend, who is now holding a lantern, the dim light
casting an eerie glow on his face.]
Wilber Townsend: (sinister laughter)
Jack, dear Jack, you may be the hero in your story, but in my forest, I am the
nightmare that haunts your dreams. The HCW US Championship will be but a
distant memory when I'm done with you. The shadows are closing in, Jack, and
there's no escaping the darkness.
[The camera fades to black as the
unsettling laughter of Wilber Townsend continues, leaving an ominous feeling
hanging in the air. The stage is set for a clash between the heroic Jack Lumber
and the diabolical Wilber Townsend for their confrontation later tonight.]
Match #3: Mr. X
vs OP Cunningham
Otis Peabody
Cunningham comes out first to a nice pop from the crowd. He shakes hands with the fans and makes his
way into the ring. His music is abruptly
shut off and out comes Mr. X. He is
booed heavily and after having some words with a fan at ringside, he makes his
way to the ring. He immediately starts
to berate OP until the gentle giant had had enough. He grabbed Mr. X and delivered a devastating
headbutt that sent X scurrying out of the ring.
He immediately went over to commentary and started to complain to the
ref about this very uncouth individual man handling him. The ref calls for the bell and immediately starts
the 10 count. X is yelling at the ref
but he continues his count. Mr. X
finally rolls into the ring as the ref counted to 9 and tells Mr. X to get this
match going.
For the first 15
minutes of the match, OP just dominated Mr. X.
X did try to leave a couple of times but ended up returning to the ring
at the last minute. Mr. X just stunned
OP with a turnaround sidekick. We now
join the match at the 16 minute mark.

he makes his way to the back.
[Pierre Boulay stands confidently in
front of the camera, flanked by 'Dirty' Dick Albano and 'Vicious' Vinnie
Albano, the HCW Tag Team Champions, The New Sicilians. The trio exudes an air
of arrogance as they prepare to defend their titles later in the evening.]
Pierre Boulay: Ladies and gentlemen,
boys and girls, the time has come for The New Sicilians to once again prove why
we are the rightful rulers of the tag team division in HCW. Dirty Dick, Vicious
Vinnie, and I have orchestrated a symphony of destruction that echoes through
the annals of wrestling history, and tonight, at Zero Hour, our masterpiece
continues.
Dirty Dick Albano: Flash, Justice,
the so-called Freedom Fighters, you two are about to learn a harsh lesson in
the art of tag team supremacy. There's no escaping the clutches of The New
Sicilians, and tonight, the HCW Tag Team Championship will remain securely
around our waists.
Vicious Vinnie Albano: Freedom
Fighters, your futile attempts at justice won't save you from the reckoning we
bring. We thrive on chaos, and tonight, the canvas will be painted with the

[Pierre Boulay smirks as the camera
shifts to The Freedom Fighters, Flash and Justice, standing with determination,
ready to counter The New Sicilians' boasts.]
Flash: Tonight, at Zero Hour, the
Freedom Fighters step into the ring with a singular purpose – to bring justice
to HCW's tag team division. The New Sicilians can parade around with their
titles, but titles don't make a team great. It's heart, determination, and the
will to fight for what's right.
Justice: New Sicilians, you may
think you're untouchable, but justice always finds a way. Flash and I have
faced adversity before, and tonight, we're bringing the fight to your doorstep.
The HCW Tag Team Championship deserves champions who embody the spirit of
justice, not those who revel in chaos.
Flash: Get ready, Sicilians, because
the Freedom Fighters are here to liberate those titles from your clutches.
Tonight, justice will prevail, and we will be the ones standing tall with the
HCW Tag Team Championship.
[The camera alternates between both
teams, capturing the intensity and anticipation building up to their
championship clash later in the night at Zero Hour.]
Match #4: US title
match – Jack Lumber vs Wilber Townsend
The lights go dim
and Wilber Townsend comes out carrying a solitary lantern to light his
path. He begins the slow walk to the
ring. Wilber is paying homage to his
mentor Bray Wyatt (RIP) and the mind games continue. Once Wilber got into the ring, he
extinguished the lantern just as the lights came back up. He has a look of determination on his
face. The music lightens up and the
loudspeakers blare out “TIMMMBERRRR” and out comes the US Champion – our favorite
flannel wearing lumberjack Jack Lumber.
He gets an enormous pop from the crowd.
Jack stops by the Lumber Lounge (a place for his fans to hang out),
interacts with them briefly and then makes his way to the ring. Once in the ring, Wilber approaches him and
as the ref tries to keep the two separate, we can hear Wilber say “The fans are
your undoing. Your dedication to them will
be the reason you fail tonight”. Jack
can be heard saying “You’re wrong and tonight, I prove it”. Wilber laughs and steps back. He allows Jack to get his pop from the crowd
and the match gets underway.
For the first 12
minutes of the match, they were pretty evenly matched up. Wilber got in a couple of cheap shots that
Jack was not prepared for and that turned the tide to the challenger. We join the match at this point.

eye looks pretty bad and immediately takes him backstage to get it tended to.
[Backstage, Pierre Boulay stands
beside the formidable Luciana Albano as they prepare to address the fans; the
air thick with anticipation for the upcoming main event.]
Pierre Boulay: (smirking) Ladies and
gentlemen, the time has come for the Albano Clan to once again assert its
dominance; this time in the HCW women's division. Luciana Albano, a force to be
reckoned with, is set to face the so-called Ladies Champion, Korbi Kong.
Tonight, we make history, my friends.
Luciana Albano: (leaning in with a
wicked grin) Korbi Kong, the so-called powerhouse of the women's division.
Tonight, you step into the ring with Luciana Albano, and it's not just a match;
it's a reckoning. The Albano Clan doesn't play by the rules; we set them. And
when I take that Ladies Championship from you, Korbi, it'll be a symbol of our
dominance.
Pierre Boulay: (nodding) Luciana is
not just a wrestler; she's a force of nature. She's here to remind everyone
that the women's division revolves around the Albano Clan. Korbi, you may have
had your moment in the sun, but tonight, the shadows grow long, and the
darkness that is Luciana Albano will consume you.
Luciana Albano: (smirking) Korbi,
you claim to be the queen of the division, but a queen is only as powerful as
the kingdom she rules. And tonight, my dear, the Albano Clan takes the throne.

share a menacing look as the camera fades, leaving an ominous aura hanging in

Match #5: Tag
team title match: the New Sicilians vs
The Freedom Fighters
The challengers,
the Freedom Fighters – Justice and Flash – make their way out to the ring. They get a nice pop from the crowd. They get into the ring and try to get the
fans excited for this match. The music
changes and out comes Pierre Boulay, leading the World Tag Team Champions the
New Sicilians – ‘Dirty’ Dick Albano and ‘Vicious’ Vinnie Albano. The fans boo them heavily as they make their
way down to the ring. The Freedom
Fighters are out for revenge but the deck is stacked against them while Pierre
remains at ringside. The New Sicilians
get into the ring and the booing intensifies.
They hold the titles high and, unbelievably, the fans get louder. They seem to relish in the disdain the fans
have for them. They hand over the titles
and Pierre steps out of the ring. The
match can now begin.
The New Sicilians,
as expected, dominated the match early but the Freedom Fighters tied things up
and then continued to go toe to toe with the champs. We join the match at the 21 minute mark.

of boos. The Albano’s stand tall and
just take it all in. Eventually, they
head to the back.
[We cut backstage to Ladies Champion
Korbi Kong, standing tall and confident backstage, ready to respond to Luciana
Albano's provocative promo.]
Korbi Kong: (smirking) Luciana
Albano, you and your manager seem to be under the impression that tonight's
main event is some kind of coronation for the Albano Clan. Well, let me make
one thing crystal clear – you may thrive in the shadows, but I am the daylight
that exposes every ounce of darkness.
(Korbi flexes her championship belt
over her shoulder)
Korbi Kong: The Ladies Championship
isn't just a symbol; it's a testament to the hard work, dedication, and battles
I've faced to claim the throne. Luciana, you may believe you're a force of
nature, but tonight, you step into the ring with the reigning, defending, and
undisputed champion – Korbi Kong.
(Korbi's expression turns stern)
Korbi Kong: I've faced challenges
before, and each time, I've emerged victorious. Your mind games, your shadows –
none of it matters when the bell rings. I am the Ladies Champion for a reason,
Luciana, and it's not just about holding a title; it's about being the best,
day in and day out.
(Korbi points directly at the
camera)
Korbi Kong: So, Albano, when you
step into the ring with me tonight, you're not just facing a wrestler; you're
facing the embodiment of excellence in the women's division. The Ladies
Championship stays with me, and the Albano Clan will learn that not even shadows
can extinguish the brilliance of Korbi Kong.
(Korbi raises her championship high,
a look of determination in her eyes, as the camera fades out.)
Match #6: The
Main Event: Ladies title match: Korbi Kong vs Luciana Albano w/Pierre Boulay
Luciana Albano and
her manager Pierre Boulay come out first and the booing from the previous match
continued here. The fans were not happy with
Luciana injuring fan favorite Violet Valkyrie and hope Korbi takes a pound of
flesh from the 9th Wonder of the World. Luciana and Pierre are in the ring and the
booing is just deafening. Luciana just
soaks it all in. The music changes and we
hear “KORBI KONG SMASH” and the fans erupt with the loudest pop of the night as
Ladies Champion Korbi Kong makes her way out.

climbs the second turnbuckle and holds the title high. The fans continue their deafening pop. Korbi steps down and hands the title to the
ref who shows it to Luciana before holding it high and then hands it to the
ring attendant. Luciana gets on the mic
and tells Korbi that the only way this match determines a true winner is for it
to be a no disqualification match. Korbi
agrees. The match is then started.

roughly and holds it over her head. The
fans booing is deafening. She hands the
belt to Pierre who straps it around her waist.
She then climbs the turnbuckle pointing to herself as THE dominant woman
in all of HCW.
[The arena is filled with a mix of
shock and disbelief as Luciana Albano stands tall in the center of the ring,
the newly won Ladies Championship draped over her shoulder. The once-defiant
Korbi Kong lies in the ring, staring up at the ceiling, processing the
unexpected turn of events.]
Ring Announcer: Ladies and
gentlemen, the winner of the match and the NEW Ladies Champion... Luciana
Albano!
[Luciana, flanked by her manager
Pierre Boulay, smirks with a triumphant expression as the crowd reacts with a

Luciana and Pierre
make their way up the ramp. Once on
stage, Luciana and Pierre are joined by the World Tag Team Champions the New
Sicilians – Dick and Vinnie Albano – who flank either side of Luciana and raise

Albano clan comes out and they all stand center stage with arms raised in
victory as the show comes to an end.
