HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2021 #917

Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  Our Reign of Champions PPV is officially sold out but you can still order it from the comfort of your home on PPV.   Tonight, we have a battle royal to determine who will meet Jack Lumber for the World Title at the show.  Also, the Anytime/Anywhere title will be defended as well as the Six Man Tag Team Championship.  For those who may not know, our August PPV Reign of Champions is an 8 Match card with every title in HCW being defended.  I believe 4 hours is being carved out for this special event.  We have some great matches tonight so let’s get this party started.

 

After the pyro ended, Col. Flagg came out and stormed down to the ring.  He got on the mic and said that it was beyond stupid for Dennis Marshall to think he’s a top contender for the TV Title.  Flagg issued a challenge right here and now to challenge Dennis for his spot.  Dennis Marshall comes out and the fans pop huge for him.  Dennis was taken aback by the sheer love he was getting from the fans.  He gets on a mic and tells Flagg that although he wanted to rest up to be at 100% for the PPV, he’d be happy to send Flagg back to boot camp.  Flagg then announced that the rules for their match would in fact be Boot Camp rules.  Dennis stopped and Flagg called him a chicken.  Dennis looked to the fans who yelled “Kick his ass” and Dennis smiled and rushed to the ring.  The match began right away.  Flagg hit a short arm clothesline but Dennis came back with a Brainbuster elbow smash.  Flagg then kicked Dennis with a boot to the head.  Flagg followed it up with a Patriotic inverted slam but Dennis stunned him with some MMA-style knee strikes and followed it with hammering rights.  Dennis then locked in the B-52 backbreaker but Flagg wouldn’t submit.   Dennis got to the top turnbuckle and hit a top rope legdrop.  He went for the cover but only got a 2 count.  Flagg hit another Patriotic slam and then turned to the crowd to gloat.  Dennis then tripped him and Flagg fell right on his face.  Dennis rushed to the top turnbuckle again and hit another top rope legdrop.  This time, he had a solid hook of the leg and got the 1-2-3.  Dennis Marshall gets the win and will be going to the PPV to meet Maximillian Redbeard for the TV title.  Dennis celebrates with the fans and then heads backstage.  (11 min)

 

Catalina Harper was walking backstage when she was attacked by ‘Broken’ Korbi Kong.  Korbi tells her that she accepts the challenge for next week.  She promises to end Catalina.

 

Anytime/Anywhere Champion Master Bull was walking backstage when he was approached by Derek Deveraux.  Derek started telling Bull everything he liked about him and behind his back, he was motioning to a ref.  Derek then knocked Master Bull to the floor and went for the pin.  Bull kicked right out.  It seems now that the match is on.  The two fought backstage throwing each other into piles of boxes.  Just then, a masked man jumped into the action and attacked Derek but not Master Bull.  The masked man slammed Derek repeatedly on the concrete floor before dragging him to the trunk of a car.  He pushed Derek in and slammed the trunk shut.  He got into the car and drove off.  The ref, very confused, shrugged his shoulders and then counted to 10.  Since Derek had not returned, the ref awarded the match to Master Bull via (I guess) countout.  (8 min)

 

With the disappearance of Derek Deveraux, I guess the battle royal will be one man short.  Hope the guy is ok.

 

It’s time for our Six Man Tag Team Title match.  First, the Snake Pit (Leiton, Niven and Tobias Snake) come out to the stage.  They do a fist bump and then powerwalk to the ring.  They get a small pop from the crowd but only because of who their opponents are.  Once in the ring, the music changed and out comes Devastation, Inc. led by the Ambassador.  Barry Morningstar, Dr. Red Fang and Azrael stand on the stage and hold their titles high.  Madman Mason brings up the rear and watches his team’s back as they head to the ring. The ref immediately sends Mason to the back to avoid any outside interference.   The Snake Pit dominated the match and the Ambassador couldn’t believe it.  His team was tossed around like ragdolls.  At the 12 minute mark, the Ambassador finally got involved using peanut shells to eye gouge Leiton blinding him.  Dr. Red Fang came in and nailed Leiton with a Vampire Lunge.  Barry then came in and hurled Leiton to the floor.   Madman Mason then appeared from the crowd and hopped the barrier.  He then hit a curb stomp on Leiton against the ringside barrier.  He then took off through the crowd.  Tobias and Niven gave chase leaving Leiton all alone.  The ref began his count and eventually reached 10.  He counted Leiton out and awarded the match to Devastation, Inc.  The Ambassador gets on the mic and yells “AND STILL YOUR CHAMPIONS”.  He laughs until familiar music hits.

 

Out comes GM Max McGillicutty.  Max says that the Ambassador’s team gets to remain at ringside as the rest of the roster comes out for the battle royal which is our main event.  The men’s roster all file out.  There still is no Derek Deveraux.  Niven and Tobias returned and checked on Leiton.  World Champion Jack Lumber comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  He goes to sit at commentary.  Max calls for the match to begin.

Rad Gumbo gets the win and will be taking on Jack Lumber for the World Title.  Jack enters the ring and stands toe to toe with Gumbo.  The last time these two met, Rad took the World Title from Jack.  Will Jack be able to avenge his last loss?  Next show, we will have the contract signing between the two so stay tuned.
