GM King Rad Gumbo comes out on the stage and announces that the Critical Mass PPV will take place up in Seattle, WA this year which did not sit well with the Tacoma crowd.  He laughed as they booed.  He told them to suck it up and quit their whining but the crowd got rowdier and Gumbo decided to leave so that he wasn’t in the path of any debris that would surely be thrown his way.

The show begins when Scarlett Phoenix comes out to a pop from the crowd.   The crowd continues the pop when El Gato Negro comes out.  The two fan favorites are in the ring and they shake hands reluctantly before kicking the match off.  The match was extremely close with neither lady getting the upper hand.  Most of these matches ended in a draw so there was an extra push to try to score a win.  Scarlett was able to hit the Black Widow but El Gato rolled out of the ring to avoid the pin.  She eventually got back in and was able to hit the 9 Lives.  El Gato rolled up Scartlett and got the 1-2-3.  El Gato gets the win.  Scarlett extends her hand but El Gato slaps it away and walks off.  (15 min)  Scarlett goes after her and turns her around and begins yelling at her.  El Gato turns and walks but Scarlett pushes her.  She says that she wants another shot at her and challenges her to another match.  El Gato sneers and walks off but King Rad comes out.  He says that there is no room on the PPV card but he will add it as a special attraction during the Hall of Fame ceremony.  Everyone eventually leaves.

Candice Charisma is backstage and she issues a challenge to Ravishing Raquel for the Ladies title at the PPV.  She tells the champ that Raquel has never faced a challenger like her.  She will prove her superiority and take the Ladies title.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Over the loudspeakers blares “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE” and out comes Dr. Red Fang and his manager Ant Graham.  The fans boo them as they head down to the ring.  Next, El Chango comes out and the fans pop huge for him.  The evil vampire doesn’t care for the pop El Chango’s getting so he attacks him on his way to the ring.  El Chango successfully fights him off and the two continue in the ring once the bell rings starting this one off.  Ant Graham interfered a few times just staying off the ref’s radar.  Fang locks in the spider web lock but El Chango doesn’t quit.  Fang hits him with a flying elbow ram but El Chango hits the Diamond Dust. He makes the cover as Graham tries for a distraction but fails.  The ref counts to 3 and awards the match to El Chango.  El Chango warns both Elitism and the Smashers that they are still going to the PPV for the belts.  (7 min)

King Rad is in his office and says he has important news and announces the Fiend as the 3rd nominee for the Hall of Fame.  The Fiend was a main stay during the HWF and CSWA days and a multiple time Hardcore champion.  It is a fitting end to such an illustrious career.  We congratulate the Fiend on his nomination.

First, Madame Jade comes out to a pop from the crowd.   Next, Kimberly Kiccsass comes out and the fans boo her although one or two try to cheer through the noise.  She gets into the ring and goes nose to nose with Madame Jade.   Jade started off strong and kept things going.  Staying one step ahead of her opponent, Jade threw Kimberly into the ropes and then leapt to the corner turnbuckle and then to the ropes and then hit a perfectly executed springboard dropkick.  She makes the cover and after hooking the leg, gets the 3 count.  Madame Jade gets the win.  She leaves to a pop from the crowd.  Kimberly leaves shortly thereafter.  (6 min)

We cut to a pre-taped video from Taylor Bella.  She says she’s on board with handing the Duchess her ASS at the PPV and says that the Duchess will be sorry she wanted this match.

Our next match will be a chance for a member of the Tacoma Roster to challenge a member of the Phoenix roster for the right to challenge the Crocodile Hunter for the US title.  First, Brick makes his way down to the ring.  Next, Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes out and the crowd goes insane.  The two men meet in the center of the ring and shake hands.  Brick put up a good fight but after 10 minutes, Drew took the match to his challenger.  Brick was resilient and he kept kicking out of pin attempts.  Drew began to sweat it once we hit the 18 minute mark.  A draw here would give Phoenix’s representative a walk into the title match.  Drew dug deep and in the last few seconds of the match, he hit a handstand scissors and hooked the leg for the 1-2-3.  Drew gets the win with only moments to spare.  Brick makes it to his feet and once again shakes Drew’s hand before leaving.  Drew gets on the mic and issues a challenge to the Banker for a shot at the US title.  He says he’ll even fly to Phoenix for the match.  (19:56)

The Smashers are backstage with their manager MJ.  MJ says that Elitism has skated by taking on the low hanging fruit.  Tonight, the Smashers get 30 minutes to beat the hell out of their opponents and once they are done, there will be new champions crowned.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, Desperado member Leon Teremoto comes out to a pop from the crowd.  Next, another fan favorite Adam Jameson comes out but his reception is not as great as that for Leon.  The two shake hands and this one kicks off.  Leon controlled the first few minutes of the match but then AJ took over.  Like our last match, this one went right up to the final bell.  Leon was making a comeback but got tossed out of the ring.  While the ref checked on AJ, the Smashers ran in from the crowd and hit Leon with a Fall of Man on the floor.  They then rolled him back in and took back off through the crowd.   Adam, not realizing what just went down, picked up Leon and hit the Adam Bomb.  AJ makes the cover and gets the 3 count with limited time remaining.  AJ gets the win and as soon as he saw the Smashers disappear through the crowd, he knew something transpired.  He helped Leon to his feet to a huge pop from the crowd.  (19:42)

The Ambassador is backstage with his Tag Team Champions Elitism – The Elitist Reid Rothchild and Rowdy Roderick Rothchild.  Reid says that the Smashers will break all the rules in order to get what they want.  Roderick comments that they too, at one time, also broke the rules so they are familiar with that game.  The Ambassador says that what the Smashers can do, they can do better.  Tonight, they retain so that they can go to the PPV as defending champs.

It’s time for our Main Event.  MJ comes out and leads the Smashers down to the ring.  They flip off and yell at the fans as they make their way down to the ring.  Next, the Ambassador comes out and introduces the Tag Team Champions – Elitism.  The fans pop as the trio make their way to the ring.  Elitism takes the bull by the horns and immediately attack the Smashers.  For 18 minutes, the champs took the fight to the challengers but interference from MJ started to swing the advantage to his team.  In the 21st minutes of the match, the Smashers began to double team Roderick.  The Rowdy one got tossed out of the ring and Smasher #1 planted him with a DDT on the floor.  Reid tried to make the save but ate a big boot for his efforts that sent him crashing to the floor.  Roderick got counted out.  The belts once again don’t change hands on a countout and the Smashers are irate.  They tried to continue the attack on Elitism but the Desperados came out and the numbers provided to be too great so the Smashers and MJ opted to leave.  Elitism may have lost the match but they retained the titles and will meet the Desperados at the PPV.  (21 min)

Just before the show was ready to shut down, King Rad Gumbo came out one final time.  He talks about how he’s saving his match at the PPV as a surprise and says it will be the greatest match ever – better than Flair/Steamboat; Savage/Steamboat…any of them.  All of a sudden, music hits and out comes…WAIT… it’s Red Hot Lucas Johnston!  Lucas attacked a stunned Gumbo and the two fought all over the stage.  About 20 members of security had to come out and separate the two.  The show comes to an end with the two still trying to reach each other.

We are getting closer to the PPV so Phoenix is up next trying to one-up their northern counterparts.

Here is a glimpse as to what is coming:

The final member of the 2018 Hall of Fame will be announced.
The Banker will be on hand to make his decision about Drew’s challenge.
Ravishing Raquel will be on hand to answer the challenge.

Stay tuned.
