Hello
fans and welcome back to the latest installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder. We have a great card lined up for you tonight with a main event headlined by El
Chango taking on Phat Sol with the winner getting a shot at the TV champion the
Unknown Assassin at the PPV. GM Max McGillicutty
comes out to a pop from the crowd. He
tells us that 50% of the matches for this month’s PPV Apocalypse have been
announced and 3 more matches will be revealed tonight. He thanks the fans for coming and leaves the
stage as pyro goes off getting this show underway.
The
first match kicks off with ‘Bad News’ Marvin Barnes coming out to booing from
the crowd. He threatened to hit a few
fans on his way to the ring. Next, his
opponent Brick comes out to a pop from the crowd. The match progressed slowly as Brick was
wrestling his way through the match.
About 12 minutes into the match, Brick went to the top rope but Marvin
grabbed the ropes (presumably to help himself up but in fact was putting Brick
off balance) and Brick fell off the turnbuckle to the floor. Brick looked like he got hurt and was taking
his time trying to walk it off and he ended up getting counted out. Barnes left the ring after getting his arm
raised. All of a sudden, Scooter J, Otto
Ruthless and King Wilber Townsend all hit the ring and beat down Brick. The Axe and TNT run down for the save and
chase SJ and his buddies off. Axe takes
a mic and tells them that he is officially accepting their challenge for the
PPV and says they’ll meet at the PPV.
Axe helps Brick up and the three of them leave the ring to a pop from
the crowd. (12 ½ min)
Backstage,
Ice Dagger purposely bumps into ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston and he (pointing to
his imaginary friend) says “He doesn’t like you.” Lucas says “Ok” (seeing where this was
going). ID gets into Lucas’ face “I
don’t like you either. You better watch
yourself. I’m the biggest man on this
campus”. Lucas makes a goofy face and
says “Ohhh, I guess I’d better be careful.”
He began to chuckle. ID screams
“You’ll be DEAD!” and then attacks Lucas beating him down. The fight is broken up by security and
Lucas challenges ID to a match at the PPV and he accepts.
We
head back to the ring and Bishop Ripley makes his way down to the ring and
doesn’t get the best of reactions from the crowd. Next, ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger comes out to a
huge pop from the crowd. He gets in the
ring and the two begin battling almost immediately. 6 minutes in, Winger hits Bishop with a
steamroller but Ripley hurls Winger out of the ring. Top Gun dusts himself off and starts to get
back in the ring but he is attacked once again by Figgy Newton who drops him
with multiple chair shots. Bishop
distracted the ref long enough until Figgy was done and then Newton took off
through the crowd. The ref turned around
and saw Winger down and out on the outside of the ring. He made the count and reached 10 and counted
Winger out awarding the match to Bishop Ripley.
Winger finally made it to his feet and he was pissed. He slowly made his way to the back.
Axe is
backstage with his tag team partner TNT and says they are ready to stand by
Brick and take on Scooter J and his buddies but they know Scooter J and how he
thinks so they’ll be ready.
We’re
ready for the next match. First, the
Smashers come down first and are booed by the crowd. Next, Ovaltine Jackson & Ghee Buttersnaps
come out to a pop from the crowd. Once
in the ring, the Smashers attack Ovaltine and Ghee but they fought back taking
the match to the Smashers. The Smashers controlled the entire match but
they couldn’t get a pin at all. Ovaltine
and Ghee broke up all of the pin attempts and were saved once the bell rang
bringing this one to a time limit draw.
The Smashers weren’t happy and stormed off as Ghee and Ovaltine
celebrated with the fans (20 min draw)
GM Max
McGillicutty is in his office and Figgy Newton enters. Max tells Figgy that he was caught in the act
of attacking Top Gun Justin Winger and threatens to suspend him leaving his
charges high and dry. Figgy begins to
plead “Not that…I’ll do anything”. Max
questioned “Anything?” “Yes, anything”
Figgy responded. Into the room walks
Winger as Max makes the match Top Gun vs Figgy Newton much to Winger’s
delight. Figgy goes white as a ghost and
walks off with his head held low.
As the
next match is ready to begin, the Ryzing Storm (Terra and Travis) make their
way out. Next, the Axe and TNT make
their way out to a pop from the crowd. Axe
and TNT enjoyed a good solid offensive run until Scooter J, King Wilber and
Otto Ruthless came out causing a distraction.
After the ref took a bump, Scooter J and his cronies hit the ring
beating both TNT and Axe down with chairs.
Brick ran out to make the save chasing everyone off. However the damage was done and just as the
ref was waking back up, Terra Ryzing hits TNT with a facebreaker knee
smash. He hooks the leg getting the 1-2-3. The Ryzing Storm gets a win and Axe is pissed
off. He helps TNT to his feet and they
head to the back. (19 min)
Phat
Sol is backstage and he says that tonight, he takes on a great competitor in El
Chango but it will be he who has his arm raised and he can finally get that
rematch for the TV title he’s been waiting for.
We go
back to the ring as the next match kicks off.
First, the Duchess comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd however,
it seems that she’s receiving more respect from the fans. Next, Lexy Flexx comes out and she is
booed. She enters the ring and
immediately goes after the Duchess. Lexy
then bumps the ref causing him to go down.
Next, we see Southern Belle run out and she hits the Duchess in the leg
with a steel pipe. She then rushes off
as the ref begins to stir. Lexy then
locks the Duchess in the Four Leg Clover Leglock and the Duchess does the wise
thing and taps out to avoid further injury to her leg. Lexy parades around and then leaves. (3 min)
A couple of refs come from the back and help the Duchess to the
back. As soon as she passes through the
curtains, she sees a camera man and looks directly at the camera and tells
Belle that she’s woken a sleeping giant and this giant will get her
retribution.
It’s
time for our main event. First, El
Chango comes out to a pop from the crowd.
Next, the music changes and Phat Sol makes his way out also to a pop
from the crowd. El Chango and Phat hit
some high impact moves on each other and the fans stayed on the edges of their
seats for the entire match. Phat came
close to a pin after hitting the Phat’s Enough but El Chango kicked out with
authority. As the time was running out, El Chango hits a spear but is not able
to make the cover before the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish. All of a sudden, the lights go out and when they
come back on, the Unknown Assassin is in the ring with a chair and both Phat
and El Chango are down. UA’s manager J C
Dykes was on the outside of the ring gloating about the attack but then GM Max
McGillicutty comes out. He tells Dykes
and UA that this match was supposed to see who would face the Unknown Assassin
for the US title but since the match ended in a draw, he’s at an impasse but
thinks he has the solution and Dykes and UA’s actions just now have
helped. Max announces that at the PPV,
the Unknown Assassin will defend the US title against…El Chango…AND Phat
Sol. Dykes is irate and begins screaming
from the ring. El Chango and Phat then
team up and beat down on UA before he bails out of the ring. Phat and El Chango stand tall in the ring;
Max on the stage and Dykes and Unknown Assassin caught between the two as the
show comes to an end.
Stay
tuned as things are getting volatile.
