The show begins with pyro going off. The camera pans to the audience where we see
Superfan Derek at ringside with his collection of signs. Today, he brought with him an interesting
assortment that included: “AJ Styles is the bomb-diggidy”, “I’m one of
Christian’s Peeps” and “Casey Jones vs Mick Foley = End of Days”. Superfan Announcers Marvelous Marc and
Bodacious Brian (he changed his name) made their way to ringside and shook
hands with most of the fans. They
stopped by Derek and gave high 5’s before taking their station.
Brian: Hello fans and welcome to Starcade Week. We are coming to you LIVE from Humble, Tx,
the original home of the HWF. We have a
great line up for you.
Marc: You got that
right. Today is just the beginning. Lots
of title matches as well as a qualifier between Prestige Inc and the
Shield. One of those teams will be going
on to Colorado Springs for a shot at the 6 man titles.
Brian: That’s right
Buddy. Tons of great action. The Shield actually lost in their last quest
for the 6 man belts after only 2 minutes.
I think they’ll need to have their act together if they really want to
move on.
Marc: But you gotta remember that Prestige Inc will want
this just as bad so I expect them to pull out all the stops.
Brian: As we start to get this show underway, we expect the
mandatory appearance from our GM Master Bull.
Marc: Speak of the devil (not actually the devil, you
know…just a figure of speech), here he comes now.
Master Bull makes his way to the top of the stage. “Welcome one and all to our PPV
Starcade. Over the next 3 shows, we will
bring you all the top action within the HWF and CSWA. I also wanted to make an announcement that
pertains to all title holders within the HWF and CSWA. If a champion loses his or her belt during
this week, there will be NO rematches. I
will be elaborating further at end of this week when I address changes that
will be taking place in 2014. Now, with
all that jibber-jabber out of the way, let’s get this action underway!” Pyro goes off.
Marc: That was a pretty big announcement Master Bull just
made.
Brian: You bet
buddy. And I have a feeling that there
will be more coming before the end of Starcade week.
Marc: Do you know something I don’t?
Brian: It’s possible
but I’m not allowed to elaborate.
Marc: Alright, it’s
time for our first match.
Music hits and out comes Prestige Inc accompanied by
Ravishing Raquel. Reid looks out of place without “his”
title. He is wearing the platinum
medallion that Raquel gave to him earlier this year. She kisses his cheek as he gets into the
ring. Out next comes the Shield. Seth Rollins warns Raquel not to get involved
but she doesn’t back down and stands toe to toe with him.
The match goes 45 minutes with both teams taking control of
the match at different times. At 3
different times during the match, the Shield triple-teamed each member of
Prestige Inc for at least 2 rounds. The
end came after Super Warrior, who was hiding under the ring, blasted Reid in
the head with the Elitist Title and that allowed Dean Ambrose to finish him off
with a nasty headbutt. The Shield goes
on to Colorado Springs to meet Joe and the Uso’s for the 6 man tag team titles. Prestige Inc leave the ring defeated while
the Shield celebrates in the ring.
Marc: Wow, those
Shield guys really stepped up in this match.
Brian: I know
buddy. They were really embarrassed by
their last match that they made up for it in this one.
Marc: It looks Master
Bull doesn’t want any dead-air time so it looks like the next match is on.
Next up is the champion Tyson Kidd taking on Christopher
Daniels for the X-Division Title. It
only took 4 minutes for Tyson to get up and leave resulting in a count out
decision. Master Bull, however was quick
to make it out there. "Hang on a second.
I don’t know what you think you’re doing but this is Starcade – it is
the show of champions. I will not have
our champions chickening out of title matches – especially here. I am restarting the match. A very pissed off champion reluctantly gets
back in the ring but then shows why he’s the champ. 15 minutes later, Tyson gets the pin after
nailing a swan dive elbow drop.
Brian: At first, I
thought Tyson was going to be a coward, running away like that but the Kidd
really showed his champion spirit and fought off the more experienced “Fallen
Angel”.
Marc: You know, I thought
Daniels would control the match better but the champ came out ahead,
We cut to the back where Master Bull walks up to Prestige
Inc. They are pretty bummed that they
did not win the 6 man tag team match against the Shield. Bull asks Reid “So, this thing between you
and the Super Warrior. I saw that he
cost you your tag team match.” “That
bastard is dead meat.” Reid exclaimed. “I
will tear him apart.” Master Bull came
back with “You know, he is from Parts
Unknown so he’ll be pretty hard to figure out.
I tell you what though. If you
can win against him, I’ll treat you to a lunch at Kobe. It’s this Japanese Steakhouse located in
Phoenix.” “Better go get a reservation
in place. Oh, and you may want to have a
body bag ready for when I dispose of that Warrior chump.” Reid then walked off.
Next on the card is US Champion AJ Styles taking on
Sheamus. The no-countout rule is now in
place for the rest of the tour. At the
24 minute mark, Sheamus catches the champ with a Brogue Kick and makes the
cover for the 1..2..3. Sheamus is the
NEW US Champion. AJ tried to say that
Sheamus pulled his tights but the ref wouldn’t listen. AJ then superkicks the new champion and then
nails the Styles Clash. AJ kicks him in
the ribs for good measure before walking off.
Marc: Wow, AJ seems to have had a change of heart. He was not taking his loss like a man.
Brian: Don’t let him
hear you say that or he may remove your head from your shoulders.
Marc: Good
point. Thanks buddy.
Brian: Well, it seems that we are moving at a pretty decent
pace. We are about an hour and a half
into our show and are about the half way mark.
Marc: The tag team champs are on their way down now. The matches are flowing pretty well.
The Tag Team Champions the A-team represented by Austin
Aries and Alberto Del Rio are accompanied by Antonio Cesaro. They stand in the ring waiting for the
challengers Big Show and Rey Mysterio Jr.
The ref asks who will be representing the A-team and after doing a “rock/paper/scissors”,
it is decided that Cesaro and Del Rio will be defending the belts. Aries was not happy about it.
The challengers dominated the match even with consistent
interference from Austin Aries. Every
time the challengers went for a pin, Aries would put their leg on the bottom
rope. As we hit the 30 minute mark,
Aries tried to interfere again and ate a knockout punch. Cesaro nails a cradle facebuster on Big Show and
with his feet on the ropes, pinned the big man 1-2-3. The champs retain. They scooped up their tag team partner and
went to the back.
In the back, Sheamus approached Master Bull to complain
about the after-match attack by that weasel Styles. “What do you want me to do about it? You’re the champion. What are you complaining about?” Sheamus said that he wanted Styles in a match
and is willing to put his newly won title on the line as long as Master Bull ok’s
it. “Fine. Consider it done but unless something happens
during the PPV and we have time, don’t plan on this happening until the show
after the PPV.” Sheamus was ok with it.
We are coming down to the wire and have our first World
title match. HWF World Champion Kane
will take on former champion Christian. Kane
easily dominated the former champion and after 17 minutes, pinned Christian
after standing on his throat for an extended period of time and ending it with
a chokeslam. Kane will go on to Phoenix
to fight for the Undisputed title.
Brian: Wow, Kane
really is a big red machine. He totally
dominated Christian.
Marc: I’m really
looking forward to the match between Mark Henry and the Undertaker. If Taker can win this one, it will be “brother
vs brother”.
Brian: You got that
right buddy. Look they are setting up
the Hell in a Cell in preparation for our main event.
Marc: You bet. This is one for the ages. On one hand, you have Mick Foley, hardcore
Icon. On the other, you have fan turned
wrestler known as Casey Jones. Over the span
of this last year, Casey has proven he can stand toe-to-toe with the best of
them – all of Foley’s incarnations as well as Abdullah the Butcher and the SHIT
champion Lance Storm.
Brian: Man, I am
looking forward to this. It will truly
be an end for one of these two men.
Both men are in the cell pacing like cats. The bell rings and we are underway.

In 22 minutes, Casey Jones defeats Mick Foley in the Hell in
a Cell. A weary Casey stands tall. Mick Foley is out. The ref goes to help him up and Foley shrugs
him off. Mick walks over to Casey and
extends his hand. Casey reluctantly
shakes it. Mick leaves the ring while
Casey remains to the cheering of the fans.
Marc: Well, that was
a HELL of a battle. Casey finally won
the big one.
Brian: You got that
right buddy. Casey may be exhausted but
he finally settled who the winner is after this long, hard-fought battle.
Marc: Over 6 months of battling back and forth, Casey is the
man.
Brian: Well, that is
it for this show. We will be back for
the Colorado Springs show.
Marc: Thanks everyone
and have a Merry Christmas.
Brian: See you in a
few days. Merry Christmas to one and
all.
