We begin with a
promo recorded earlier in the day.
Reporter Larry Morton is backstage when World Tag Team champions the
Jacks arrive in the building. Larry
approaches them.
Larry
Morton : “Guys, tonight you defend the World Tag Team Championship against
Maximilian Redbeard and Superquake Ferguson. Are you at all concerned, seeing
how you were defeated a few weeks ago by that very team that your title reign
may be in jeopardy?”
Mean
Jack looks at Angry Jack in disbelief, then turns back.
Mean
Jack: “Concerned? Concerned?! Redbeard and Ferguson are the only two that need
to be concerned! Tonight, there's no more chances to walk away. No more
outs...this ends between us.”
Mean
Jack then grabs the microphone and shoves interviewer out of view. Lawson has something to say.
Angry
Jack: “Steel Curtain, you better pay attention, because tonight you're gonna
find out about that briefcase of yours. It's not a gift...it's a curse.”
Mean
Jack motions for Angry Jack to follow as he walks away and throws the mic back
to Larry.
Another
video airs from earlier. This one is
from Wilber Townsend, Anthony Boom and Leon Teremoto. All three men are standing there in their
masks. Wilber does all the talking.
“Sing.
Sing. Love. Love. All power in this world is measured by how much love you
have. Whether you love to bring joy or suffering you cannot deny that love is a
delectable experience. Yeah, man. It is a ravenous wild fire with beautiful
flames. It is a divine wine that brings warmth to those who drink it in. It
cannot be defined. You have to live it; you have to feel it. The fans are
ravenous; they would rather see you suffer than see you smile. It’s time I think we cross this bridge. I
think we've reached the threshold. I think it's high time that you all stop
underestimating me. Anthony and Leon tried and now they stand at my side. Thinking of me as just a man is a mistake; I
am not. I am the nagging conscience of a world that has thrown itself away to
mortal monsters. I am everywhere, and I am everything. And my words, man, my
words are not just words. My words are razor blades that cut deep. And they are
working.
Tonight,
at Reign of Champions, we got a date with destiny, Buzz, Starbuck and
Bannerman. We're just like modern day gladiators fighting for the respect of
our people. This cage of a world we live in defines that world, boys. And
everything you stand for, and all the blood, sweat, and tears you have put in
fighting for them, it has landed you right here with me…with us. Like a snake
trapped with a rat in a box. Just remember, champs, it was you who invited us
here. Your nightmares have become my dreams come true. And in my dreams I hear
them. And in my dreams I feel them. And in my dreams I see them. One by one,
they will all follow me.
“Can't
you see them now? Can't you hear them singing? Can't you hear them singing with
me? Time to follow the buzzards
home.” The screen flickers and goes
dark. Creepy.
Pyro goes off and
GM’s Max McGillicutty and Ruth Heartless come out. Max thanks the fans for attending the show
live and to those who are tuning in on their respective pay channels. Ruth says that tonight’s card is looking the
best it ever has and that it’s all thanks to her. The fans boo. Max shakes his head. Max says the fans are the backbone of
HCW. They pop. Ruth tells Max to stop pandering to the
fans. She is booed. Max says they can do this all night but it is
not fair to the fans and performers wrestling tonight. Ruth storms off. Max says that ‘the Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo
still has not arrived and still needs to be medically cleared before their
match can take place. Now, he wants to
get this show moving. More pyro and the
show officially kicks off.
The Six Man Tag
Team Champions the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman are backstage with
Clarkus Kentus. Buzz says that they have
dominated the Six Man rankings all year and have yet to be defeated. Biceps says that Wilber and his cronies creep
him out. Starbucks puts a reassuring
hand on his massive shoulder and says that Wilber may be the most unorthodox of
wrestlers but they have been through worse and this is just another team for
them. Buzz adds “We’ll lock those
crazies up and throw away the key.”
Starbuck and Biceps look at each other and say “Word”. The trio head to the ring.
The arena is dark
except for 3 lanterns slightly swaying and they are carried down to the
ring. The lanterns are set on the ring
apron and the camera man zooms in on them and…wait…they look like the faces of
Buzz, Starbuck and Biceps but appear to be in agony. DAMN, that is taking it to the next
level. Wilber, Leon and Anthony enter
the ring but leave the lanterns where they’re at. The lights come up and the music changes for
the champs. The Steel Curtain and Biceps
Bannerman come out to a huge pop from the crowd. The champs interact with the fans and then
approach the ring and see the lanterns.
Biceps looks a little freaked out.
Buzz walks over and grabs them setting them on the floor. They enter the ring and after Wilber and crew
stepped out, each man climbs the turnbuckles holding their titles high. Wilber and team re-enter the ring and this
one is ready to go. The mind games began
almost immediately and Wilber took the early advantage. All six men tagged in and out frequently with
lots of double and triple teaming.
Those lanterns kept showing up on the apron (Wilber, Anthony and Leon
would take turns setting them back up) and they had the desired effect…the
champs were off their game. 6 minutes
in, Boom trapped Starbuck in the figure four but he would not tap out. 4 minutes later, Boom got Biceps in the
figure four but he wouldn’t tap either.
From that point, we did not see either team go for a pin or
submission. As the champs attempted to
stay afloat, the challengers were just that more cohesive. We join the match at the 22 minute mark.

Holy CRAP. Wilber, Anthony and Leon have just defeated
the Curtain and Biceps Bannerman to become the NEW 6 Man Tag Team
Champions. Wilber laughs and hands Anthony
and Leon a belt and the three of them hold them high. The champs leave and grab their lanterns
and make their way to the back. Starbuck
got into the ring first and helped Buzz up.
Biceps joins them in the ring and the fans give them a nice pop. The Curtain and Biceps head to the back.
Backstage, Clarkus
Kentus is with Master Bull. Bull says
that tonight he is ready to wear some gold and will be happy to take the load
off of Drew. Clarkus asks if he’s ready
and Bull says he is. He has binge
watched 3 years of Drew’s matches and knows how to defeat him. He says the TV title changes hands tonight.
In a different
interview area, TV Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine walks in to talk to
Larry Morton. “Master Bull, you says you
know me but let me tell you…I know you.
I have been here through your first tenuous run as GM – the one with the
strip club habit…we haven’t forgotten.
You have a weakness Bull and tonight, I will exploit it. My title is staying right here. Drew walks off.
Match #2 is ready
to get underway. First, Master Bull
comes out to a nice pop from the crowd. He
enters the ring but doesn’t get to do much as Drew’s music begins and the fans
are up and out of their seat for the Canadian Love Machine. Drew comes out holding the title above his
head. He walks towards the ring and
interacts with a few fans before climbing into the ring. Drew
climbs one of the turnbuckles and holds his title high in the air before
stepping down. He meets Bull in the
middle of the ring. He hands the title
to the ref and Drew and Bull just look at each other before being sent to their
respective corners. The bell rings. For the first 4 minutes of the match, Bull
held his own against the champ but then GM Ruth Heartless came out. Bull fell off his game plan and things took a
turn for the worse when the Banker arrived at his seat at ringside. Bull spent too much time trying to keep a
wary eye out and that gave Drew the advantage he needed. We join the match at the 11 minute mark.

The fans pop as
Drew is handed back his title and he holds it high. He leaves the ring and begins to make his
way up the ramp. After he left the ring,
the Banker entered and began putting the boots to Master Bull. Drew saw what was happening and returned to
the ring. The Banker didn’t want a part
of Drew so he left. Drew extended his
hand to Master Bull who after a moment of checking with the fans, accepted and
Drew helped him to his feet. They shook
hands and Master Bull pointed to Drew and to the TV title. Master Bull made his way to the back allowing
Drew to stay and celebrate with the fans.
We head to the
back again and Larry Morton is with Nix Anderson. Anderson keeps it short and sweet. “Fang, I know your weakness. Tonight, I exploit it and take back MY
title.” Nix leaves.
Larry Morton is
with the Hardcore Champion Dr. Red Fang and his manager the Ambassador. Fang is yelling “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR NIX
ANDERSON”. The Ambassador says that Nix
is not deserving of a title match and says that he will do everything in his
power to drive him out of HCW.
Match #3 is ready
to begin. This will be a Dog Collar
match between Nix Anderson and the champion Dr. Red Fang. Nix comes out first to a small pop from the
crowd. Next, over the loudspeakers blares
“VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE” and out comes the Hardcore Champion Dr. Red Fang
and his manager the Ambassador. The duo
are booed all the way down to the ring.
As the ref hooks up Nix to the dog collar, Fang attacks him and starts
to whip him with the chain. The ref
makes the Ambassador stop the onslaught but Nix is bleeding from the chain
shot. Fang is hooked up and the match
begins. Nix is up on his feet and begins
choking Fang with the chain much to the fans’ delight. Nix drops Fang with the Nixinator and follows
it up with the Acoustic Equalizer. Nix
goes for the Nix strut but Fang reverses it and hits an airplane spin. A woozy Nix wobbles on his feet. Fang hits a skull crusher. Nix tries to use the ropes to clothesline
Fang but it’s reversed and Fang begins choking Nix out by tightening his
collar. The blood begins to flow. Fang goes for the pin but only gets a 2
count. Nix manages to get the collar
off. The Ambassador is freaking
out. Nix then stuns Fang with a chain
snap. Nix goes for the ringrope
clothesline again but Fang reverses it going for the Vampire Lunge but Nix
reverses that and does the Nix strut.
Anderson goes for the strut again but Fang reverses it and nails the
Vampire Lunge outta nowhere and makes the cover. The Ambassador rushes over keeping himself
hidden from the ref and holds down Nix’s leg.
The ref counts 1-2-3. Dr. Red
Fang gets the win and retains the Hardcore title. He removes his collar. Nix can’t believe it. He complains to the ref but he’s told that he
(the ref) didn’t see anything. The
Ambassador is in the ring putting the title around Fang’s waist again but Nix
wraps the chain around his fist and rushes at Fang blasting him with it and
getting the Vampire’s blood (wait, a vampire has blood?) to flow. The Ambassador hits Nix from behind but Nix
grabs him by the collar and drops him with the Acoustic Equalizer. Nix hurls Fang out of the ring and then uses
the chain to WHIP the Ambassador a couple of times before the manager sought
higher ground. A bloody Fang and his
manager limped up the ramp. Nix holds
the bloody chain high over his head and the fans pop. He leaves shortly thereafter. (14 min)
We cut over to the
interview area and we are with the US Champion the Wicked Prophet. Larry asks him if he’s ready for his match
tonight. Prophet replies “Otto Ruthless
reminds me of a Jellyfish; spineless and no brain. Foolish to think that I
should face a nobody. I am the US Champion and just recently defeated the World
Champion. What is one Jellyfish in a sea of sharks? Otto the jellyfish Ruthless will know his
place once and for all after I humiliate him in the ring.
Apollo Gyze is
walking around backstage and he sees the clubs that Iron Sheik swings around to
prepare for his match. He picks one up
and drops it almost immediately (they are really heavy). Apollo looks at it, looks around and then
leaves turning off the main light (he fancies himself an energy
conservationist.)
Match #4 is ready
to begin. First, Otto Ruthless makes his
way out to booing from the crowd. He
flips them off and grabs a fans’ sign tearing it to shreds. He throws it at fans who respond with even
louder booing. He gets into the ring and
continues to mock and insult the fans.
Next, the music changes and out comes the US Champion the Wicked
Prophet. Prophet comes out to a mixed
reaction from the crowd but those cheering are surely hoping he beats the snot
out of Otto. Right off the bat, Prophet
locks in the crucifix clutch but Otto won’t submit. The two trade blows for 3 minutes before
Prophet applied the clutch again but Otto made it to the ropes. Prophet locks
in in a third time and it really looked like he was going to tap but was able
to make it to the ropes again. 12
minutes in, Prophet exiles (throws) Otto from the ring but he is back in by the
count of 4. Otto grabs Prophet and hurls
him into the corner twice. Prophet
comes bouncing out of the corner and hits Otto with the Baptism of Fire. He makes the cover and hooks the leg solidly
to get the 1-2-3. Wicked Prophet gets
the win in this dominated match up. Otto
slunk to the back and Prophet held his title high before heading to the back on
his own. (16 min)
Clarkus Kentus is
with Maximillian Redbeard and Superquake Ferguson. Redbeard says that tonight, the Jacks can’t
run…they can’t hide. GM Max changed
their match to a no DQ match. Ferguson
says that after all they’ve been through, they finally get their revenge. Tonight, the tag team titles change hands and
new champions WILL be crowned. They walk
off camera.
We cut to the
office of the GM and both Max McGillicutty and Ruth Heartless are in there
talking. Max says that he still has not
heard from Rad Gumbo. Ruth tells him
that they should write that match off.
Max shakes his head and says he’s holding out hope until the last
minute. Ruth reminds him that Rad has
not been medically cleared. Max slumps
in his seat.
Match #5 is for
the World Tag Team Titles. First, the
challengers Maximillian Redbeard and Superquake Ferguson come out to a nice pop
from the crowd. They high five the fans
and make their way into the ring. After
a moment, the music changes and out comes the World Tag Team Champions Mean
Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson. The
fans boo them harshly. They flip off the
fans and make their way to the ring.
Maximillian and Ferguson beckon them to enter the ring but the champs
take their sweet time. Finally, they
enter the ring and remove their jackets, hand the belts to the ref and stand in
their corner. The ref holds the titles
up and then calls for the bell to begin.
This match was close for only 3 minutes and then it was the challengers
who opened a major can of whoop-ass on the champions. OMG.
It was brutal. Without a countout
or disqualification to hide behind, the Jacks had the holy hell beaten out of
them. At the 27 minute mark, the champs
got into a groove and Jack stood on Ferguson’s throat while Mason hit Redbeard
with a powerbomb sending him out of the ring.
Superquake then hit Mason with a huge boot to Mason’s face sending him
over the top rope and hit Lawson with a headbutt. Ferguson then looked to the fans and then
stood on Lawson’s throat choking him out.
Superquake then pulled Lawson into the middle of the ring and covered
him for the 1-2-3. And just like that,
we have NEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!!
(28 min) The fans pop huge.
Redbeard makes it back into the ring and is handed one of the titles. He and Ferguson hold them high as the fans
continue to pop. Just then, new music
hits and out comes the STEEL CURTAIN!
Holy Crap, what are they doing here.
They walk out to the ring and say that they are cashing in their
contract tonight. The fans pop so loud
that it rattles all the windows in the building. Buzz and Starbuck begin to walk down to the ring
but they are ambushed by Mean Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson. The four men end up brawling all the way to
the back with no cash in as the ref never got the briefcase. The new champs celebrated with the fans
before leaving.
Clarkus Kentus is
backstage with Apollo Gyze and his bodyguard the Big Cocoon. Apollo says that Cocoon is fully licensed and
allowed to be in his corner tonight.
Tonight, no interference from Killa Pops or any amount of luck will keep
the World title around the waist of Texas Wildfire. He says he will not apologize for making TW
bleed or feel pain. Tonight, he becomes
the World Champion and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
In the alternate
interview area, World Champion Texas Wildfire is shaking his head. “Apollo has been drinking his own kool-aid
again. He thinks just because he has a
shot against me, he actually has a chance to win. Guess what Apollo, it will be YOU apologizing
to everyone for acting like such a dumbass.”
The fans pop and TW heads off screen.
Match #6 for the
World Title is up next. First, we hear
blaring “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” over the loudspeakers and Apollo makes
his way out with his bodyguard the Big Cocoon.
Apollo saunters down to the ring with a very smug look on his face. The fans boo him louder than anyone else so
far this evening. His upper lip curls
and he sneers at the fans. He gets in
the ring and mocks the fans with draws more hatred. The fans then pop as the World Champion Texas
Wildfire’s music hits. Pyro and smoke go
off around TW as he stands on the stage.
He then makes his way down to the ring.
The ref directs Apollo to his corner and sends Cocoon out of the ring. TW climbs all 4 turnbuckles and holds his
title high each time to louder and louder pops.
He steps down and hands his title over.
The bell then rings. For the
first 3 minutes of the match, Apollo controlled it (with help from
Cocoon). That came to an end when Killa
Pops came out and he and Cocoon ended up brawling and fought all the way to the
back. Without his muscle to protect him,
TW went to town owning him. After
bouncing Apollo’s head on the turnbuckle 10 times (the fans counted along), TW
dazzled Apollo with some rapid fire punches.
He went for a pin but didn’t hook the leg and Apollo kicked out at 1. Apollo struggled to get to his feet and TW
nailed him with more rapid punches.
Apollo hit the mat and this time Wildfire hooked the leg and got the
1-2-3. The fans pop huge as TW is handed
his title in his victory win over Apollo.
Apollo made his way to the back muttering “where is Cocoon?” while
Wildfire stayed in the ring and celebrated with the fans before heading back
himself. (13 min)
The
Iron Sheik makes his way out to huge boos from the crowd. He walks down carrying the Iranian flag. He gets into the ring and demands a mic. “The Iron Sheik broke the Gumbo and made him
humble.” The fans boo. Sheik continues. “I win by default and demand
that the general managers come down and award me the match by default.” GM Max McGillicutty comes out and makes his
way down. Sheik demands Max raise his
arm as the victor. Max looks to the back
holding out hope that Rad will show.
“Sheik, you attacked Rad Gumbo and sent him to the hospital. You caused all this. I should not be doing this but”…Max is cut
off when we hear “GUMBO 7:30 MEANS ITS SUPPA TIME, BITCH!” and out comes the
Ragin Cajun. He is all bandaged up from
last night’s assault from the Sheik. In
the ring, the Iron Sheik is speechless.
“He not cleared. Gumbo Rad not
cleared to wrestle.” Rad says he’s
wrestling tonight regardless. Max says
he would allow it but needs Rad to sign a waiver. Rad demands the form. He signs it and then rolls under the
ropes. Sheik bails. Rad hollers for Sheik to get into the
ring. After some delay, the Iron Sheik
gets into the ring and Rad charges him.
The bell rings kicking off the Persian Death match.

exhausted, beaten and bloody gets to his feet and leans on the top rope for
leverage. The Iron Sheik leaves a beaten
man. Rad stays in the ring receiving
some minor medical attention and then he heads to the back.
Clarkus Kentus is
with Hayley Hailstone. Hayley says that
everything she’s ever wanted since coming to HCW begins and ends tonight. Tonight, she will no longer be a challenger
but she will defeat Violet and take that title.
Hayley says that Violet is perhaps one of the greatest women wrestlers
since Ravishing Raquel to hold the title.
Tonight ends her chase for the belt and begins her reign as Ladies
Champion. She leaves.
We cut to the
other interview area and Larry Morton is with Ladies Champion Violet
Valkyrie. “Hayley, you are one tough
little SOB and tonight, you probably will give me the toughest challenge of my
career but just like all the others before you, I will be the one getting the
1-2-3 and walking out tonight as the Ladies Champion. She heads to the ring.
It is time for our
MAIN EVENT. First, music hits and the
Omegatron lights up with a hailstorm.
Hayley Hailstone makes her way out to a nice pop from the crowd. She gives one fan a hug and then gets into
the ring. She climbs the turnbuckles
with her arms in the air and the fans pop louder. She steps down and waits for her
opponent. Next, the music changes and
the stage fills with fog. A few seconds
later, Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie comes shooting through the fog on a
zipline and flies to the ring. She
detaches from the main cable and then is lowered into the ring. The Ladies Champion removes her belt and
climbs each of the corner turnbuckles holding the belt high. The fans pop gets louder and louder. She steps down and hands the title to the
ref. Sassy Maxine DeVito rushes down and
pulls Hayley out of the ring. She throws her hard into the steel post before
rolling her back in. The ref admonishes
Maxine and sends her to the back. The
ref checks on Hayley and asks if she wants to continue. She says yes.
He calls for the bell.

as Hayley is handed the Women’s title. She
falls to her knees and holds the title close to her chest. She stands up and has tears in her eyes. She climbs the turnbuckle and holds the title
over her head and the fans respond with a deafening pop. Violet makes her way to the back. Hayley remains in the ring as the show comes
to a close.
Thanks for
reading. At this time, we will be taking
a 2 week hiatus to allow the wrestlers to heal and have some well-deserved time
off.
Just as the show
was concluding, we head backstage again and see Rad Gumbo making his way out
accompanied by medics who insist he go to the hospital. Rad continues to tell them he’s fine. He makes his way into a dimly lit room and
was too busy talking to the medics that he didn’t see where he was going. He then tripped over one of the Iron Sheik’s
club that was left lying around (by Apollo), stumbled but caught himself just
before he tripped over a cat scratching post (left over from a previous Dog and
Cat show) and he fell hard to the floor.
The medic ran over and it turns out Rad broke his ankle. The medic called for a stretcher and Rad was
loaded up and taken towards an ambulance.
The cameraman did not follow but right before the camera went dark, we
heard Rad scream “WHO IN THE (BLEEP) LEFT THAT SHIT ON THE GROUND???”
