HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #709 – Tacoma Thunder...We're back

Hello fans and welcome back to the HCW Wrestling Newsletter – Tacoma Thunder edition.  Well, we had a nice two weeks off to refresh and energize.  The talent were all very appreciative for the time off to nurse any nagging wounds and get their heads on straight.

Now, for the recap.

A video is shown from our last episode with Dr. Red Fang and the Unknown Assassin squaring off in the middle of the ring.  It is very clear from our fans that these two…ehem…”men” are the most hated men in all of HCW.  As the cameras stopped rolling, the jawjacking between the two started to escalate and it looked like both men were ready to come to blows.  They are on a collision path and we’re curious to see just who will be standing when the dust settles.  Just then, Tacoma Thunders’ the Axe hits the ring and attacks both men dropping them both with ‘the Axe’.   Axe celebrated with the fans briefly before everyone left for the night.

Lasts show also saw Texas Wildfire, Sonic Blade and ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger defeat Regulation to become the new 6 Man Tag Team Champions.  We also saw the Tag Team titles change hands when the Mexicali Flyers defeated the Desperados.  Congratulations to both teams.

Also, we got an update on ‘the Hoff’ Davis Hoffmeister.  After having his nose broken by Ivan Dragovich, the only way Davis would be allowed back in the ring is if he wore a special mask type covering to protect his nose.  It is ugly and bulky but this was the agreement Davis had to make with his doctors.  Davis will be back in the ring next week.

On today’s show, we will have both the ITF (International Title of France) Champion Jacques Beannot and Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel on the show defending their titles.  It’s going to be an action packed evening.  Let’s get this party started.

Pyro goes off and the fans pop as the spotlights flow over the audience illuminating them briefly.   The fans change their tune when Red McNulty comes out.  The fans boo him as he makes his way down to the ring.  New music hits and out comes Protocide.  He gets a pretty loud pop from the crowd and he shakes hands with the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.   He gets in the ring and the match begins almost immediately.  Protocide controlled the match for the first 5 minutes but then Red hit him with a low blow and then controlled the match until Protocide started using his super soldier strength to wear Red down.  Finally, Protocide locked Red up with the Super Soldier Test of Strength and Red finally hand enough and quit.  Protocide gets the win but his celebration is cut short when Hardcore Champion Hardcore Hensen hits the ring but Protocide bails before Hensen could get his mitts on him.  Hensen grabs a mic and yells after Protocide “How much were you paid for the charade?  How much for the plastic surgery, man?”  Protocide kept walking up the ramp and eventually Hensen left too.  (18 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

Backstage, ‘Bad News’ Marvin Barnes is looking at the lineup card for the night and Bishop Ripley walks up to the lineup board and sees he’s taking on Barnes.  Marvin looks at him and says “Well, I got some bad news for ya” and laughs as he walks away.

We also cut over to GM Max McGillicutty’s office and he is there with Ant Graham and Mason the Mangler.  Max tells Graham that he hasn’t been all that impressed with Mason as of late and really needs to bring up his game.  Graham tells Max that Mason will destroy anyone he’s put in the ring with tonight.  Max tells him he will be taking on ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston.  Graham once again says that he will dismantle him. Max says “Good because if he doesn’t, he’s out of a job and we will take a much closer look at you.”  Graham begins to look concerned and then he and Mason leave.

We head to the ring for our next match.  Over the loudspeakers blares “I’ve got some bad news for ya” and out comes ‘Bad News’ Marvin Barnes.  Barnes is booed all the way down to the ring.  Next, Bishop Ripley comes out and he gets a small pop from the crowd.  Barnes attacks him before the bell but the match gets started.  The advantage that Marvin got with his pre-match attack didn’t last long as Bishop came back after him like a fighter jet and just owned Barnes.  At the 9 minute mark, Bishop connected with the ‘British Airways’ and made the cover getting the pin.  The fans popped a little louder after seeing Barnes get the loss.  Ripley leaves the ring and Barnes follows shortly thereafter.  (9 min)

Red McNulty enters GM Max McGillicutty’s office.  Max thanks Red for coming in to discuss the future of his contract.  Red stops him and says that he is not renewing his contract.  He says he’s gotten an offer to head back to Ireland and that is what he’s going to do.  Max stands up and extends his hand but Red turns and walks out.  What a jerk.

We head back to the ring and as the music hits, the fans pop HUGE as ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston makes his way out to the ring.  He starts to get the crowd psyched up but his music is cut off when Ant Graham and Mason the Mangler make their way out.  Mason has all of his future contract hopes locked into the outcome of this match.  Graham appears to be sweating it too.  As soon as the bell rang, Mason went on the offensive with multiple assists from his manager. That beatdown went on for 10 minutes.  It wasn’t until Johnston connected with a flying dropkick that things began to go his way.   Lucas then went on a ‘red hot’ streak totally owning Mason and disposing of Graham when he tried to interfere.  Lucas practically dropped Mason on his head when he nailed Mason with a back suplex.  Mason seemed to be out. Lucas then slapped on a rear chin lock turned it into a pin.  The ref counted and when his hand hit the mat for the third time, we knew that was all she wrote for Mason the Mangler.  Lucas celebrated with the fans and then left.  Ant Graham went to check on Mason when an interruption came over the loud speakers “Ant Graham…Ant Graham…please report to the GM’s office.  Ant Graham…please report to the GM’s office.”  The fans had a good laugh as Graham went to the back with a very worried look on his face. (17 min)

Backstage, Superstar Chic Monroe was getting ready for his match for the ITF (International Title of France) (formerly the US title renamed by current champ Jacques Beannot) and says that even though the fans call him the ‘Swiss Superman’, he knows that his allegiance is to the US (pop from the fans) and once he defeats Jacques to win the title, he will be happy to have its name changed back to the United States Championship (another pop from the fans).

Hayley Hailstone vs Violet Valkyrie is up next.  First, Hayley makes her way out to the ring to a nice pop from the crowd.  Next, fog fills the stage and then like a bullet, Violet Valkyrie shoots through on a zip line that takes her to the ring.  She drops off, climbs the turnbuckles and gets the fans excited for the match.  Violet is coming off a loss from last month’s PPV against Vanilla Zombie who blatantly cheated to steal a win.  We’re sure things are not settled yet between them.  The bell rings and the two ladies shake hands but Hayley goes for a small package right off the bat trying to get the quick and easy win but Violet kicks out almost immediately.  Violet then went for a leg sweep and a quick pin on her own but Hayley was right there at the ropes and broke the hold before the ref even counted to one.  Now it seems that neither lady wants to play nice.  Things begin and Hayley holds the advantage through the 12th minute of the match.  After that, Violet began a comeback and totally owned the little hailstone.  With all the action going on, we almost didn’t’ catch that the time limit was running out…fast.  When Hayley and Violet saw the clock ticking down, both tried to turn up the intensity but the bell rang before either could attempt a pin.  The bell rang bringing this one to a 20 min draw.  The other thing we missed was Vanilla Zombie sneaking in from the crowd and as soon as the match was over, she attacked Violet dropping her with the Soul Crusher.  She then turned and cocked her head looking at Hayley.  Hayley tried to back off but Vanilla also attacked her also dropping her with the Soul Crusher.  Finally, Ruby Rose ran out from the back and chased Vanilla from the ring.  She helped both Violet and Hayley to their feet and the trio watched as Vanilla Zombie took off through the crowd.  All three ladies shook hands and then left.  (20 min draw)

Ant Graham walks in to Max’s office.  Max tells him that since Mason couldn’t pull out the win, he is gone.  Max tells Graham that he too is on notice as his contract also expires soon.  Max tells Graham that he wants both Dr. Red Fang and Wolfman Keg here next week for evaluation.   Graham makes his way out of the office.

We cut to the interview area where ITF Champion Jacques Beannot is standing with his manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  Preacher says that Jacques is standing her with the title because he defeated the man he’s getting ready to defend his title against tonight.  Jacques is the superior athlete and now, with Preacher as his manager, he has access to an endless supply of ‘5 hour energy’ and that is what will keep Jacques at the top of the game.  Jacques tells Chic that tonight, France defeats the Swiss in the finals.  Both Jacques and Preacher have a good laugh.

We head to the ring for our next match.  First, the ‘Swiss Superman’ Superstar Chic Monroe comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  He makes his way down to the ring and climbs each corner turnbuckle to louder pops from the fans.  Next, the music changes and the crowd goes all sour as the champion for the International Title of France Jacques Beannot comes out with his manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  The booing intensifies when Preacher hands Jacques a 5 Hour and he downs it and the duo head to the ring. Jacques climbs one of the corner turnbuckles and holds his title high.  The booing somehow continues to grow louder.  The fans then start a “you suck” chant and he flipped the fans off.  Chic yelled at him to stop procrastinating and get this match underway.

Jacques gets the win much to the dismay of the fans.  He holds his title high and after a moment, he and Preacher head to the back.  Monroe eventually makes his way to the back also.

Sarona Reiher is backstage and she says that Raquel is not the same dominating champion she’s been over the last few years.  Because of that, she will take advantage of it and will win the title tonight.

We cut to the second interview area and the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel is backstage with her manager the Ambassador and her husband ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild.  Reid tells her that she has this and will dominate like she’s always have.  Raquel addresses the camera and says that she still has a lot she wants to do in HCW and isn’t going to relinquish her spot anytime soon. She tells Sarona she’s going to leave empty handed tonight.

It’s now time for our main event.  First, the challenger Sarona Reiher makes her way out to a small pop from the crowd.  Next, the Ambassador comes out and leads the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel down to the ring.  She is booed as Reid joins her on the stage and the trio head down to the ring.  Raquel gets into the ring and before climbing the turnbuckle, she flaunts her title in Sarona’s face.   She then climbs the corner turnbuckle and holds the title high.  She actually gets a small pop in the middle of the booing (mostly directed at Reid and the Ambassador).    She hops down and hands her title to the ref and the bell rings starting this one off.   Raquel starts off strong hitting a moonsault but Sarona stuns her with a jumping headbutt.  The two continued to trade blows until the 6th minute of the match and Sarona ended up taking out the Ambassador.  Reid rushed to his manager’s aid and set him up at the commentary desk to “recover”.   Raquel hit a butt drop but Sarona nailed a Samoan drop.  Sarona followed it up with two more Samoan drops and back to back snap suplexes but the second one was nullified by Raquel.  Sarona hits a jumping headbutt but Raquel drops her with a butt drop and then hit the Simply Ravishing.  She went for the pin but only got a one count.  Raquel went to the top rope and hit a moonsault.  She went for the pin again but still only got a 1 count.  Sarona got up and hit Raquel with a powerbomb.  Raquel went for the Ravishing Armbar but Sarona nullified it.  Raquel went for an ankle lock but Sarona dropped her again with another powerbomb.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #708 – Phoenix Heat

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  As promised last episode, Master Bull will be on hand to make a major announcement.  In addition to that, we will get a visit from our World Champion ‘the Ragin Cajun’ King Rad Gumbo.  Also on the card, both the 6 man tag team titles and the World tag team belts will be on the line.

Pyro goes off and our show is about to begin.  GM Master Bull makes his way out to a pop from the crowd.  He says that he’s not going to wait until the end of the show to make his announcement.  He says that after tonight’s show, HCW is going to take a vacation.  They will be ceasing shows during this time to give everyone time to refresh and recover (as well as recharging some batteries).  We are expected to return back to live action in mid-September.   Max also says that there are wrestlers contracts that are expiring and it is very possible that when HCW returns to action that the rosters may be a little lighter.  I guess we will have to wait to find out who.  During this hiatus, all legal issues that stemmed from Cushman Armitage’s hostile takeover will get the chance to iron themselves out and we can be back to normal without any more shenanigans.  Bull then introduces the owners of HCW – MR. B and MR. M and the crowd pops for them.  Bull mentions that it was Mr. B’s birthday and he got the audience to participate is singing Happy Birthday to the owner.  Eventually the three of them left and our show was ready to get moving.

The first match on the card, the 5th Column (Karl Braun, Oswald Zimmerman and Baron von Blood) make their way out to booing from the crowd.  Next, the Muscles Trio (Thorpe, Weasley & McGuire) come out wearing their rainbow colored bull horns and their boxes of Booty O’s cereal.  The Column attack them before the bell but the Trio ends up fighting back.  16 minutes in, Baron von Blood gets injured and he becomes a non-factor for the rest of the match.  10 minutes later, Weasley catches Oswald with a front dropkick and he made the cover to get the 3 count.  The Muscles Trio get the win much to the delight of the fans.  They celebrated briefly before leaving.  (26 min)

We get an update on Scooter J.  The injuries suffered at the hands of Hardcore Hensen and Nix Anderson ended up being more severe than what was expected.  It seems that he will be kept in the hospital for a while longer.  We then cut to a segment that was pre-recorded from Tacoma that took place between the Axe and TNT.

Roving reporter Clarkus Kentus enters a room and hears the Axe and TNT talking.

Axe:  “I don't care what his wife said. The guys an asshole.”

TNT: “Asshole or not, I should be lying there.”

Axe:  “He put you through a lot.  Are you sure you can trust anything that he says.”

TNT:  “No but sometimes actions speak louder than words.  That action spoke volumes.”

They see Clarkus as he turns and leaves.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  This will be the first handicap match of the night.  First, the Machines (B&P) come out to a pop from the crowd.  Next, Angry Jack Lawson comes out and he storms down to the ring.  He tries to attack the Machines but they immediately double team him and kept ‘the Angry One’ on the defensive for a major chunk of the match.  Jack began to start a comeback but then Biceps Bannerman came out and caused a bit of a distraction. Jack gave up the attempt at a chokeslam and went to jawjack with Biceps.  He then turned around only for Machine B hit him with a piledriver.  He went for the cover and got the 3 count.  The Machines get the win.  (16 min)  They celebrate briefly and then leave.  Jack got on the mic and blasted Biceps for interfering in his match.  Biceps got in the ring and the two had words.  Biceps said he could defeat opponents of Jack’s choosing in a handicap match.  Biceps agreed.

For our next match, Biceps remained in the ring and waited for his opponents to come out.  Elitism’s music hit and out comes the Ambassador followed out by ‘Rowdy’ Roderick Rothchild and ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild.  Elitism went on the offensive but Biceps hit a spinebuster on Reid and went for a pin but Roderick broke up the pin.  The two then double teamed Biceps and the ref did absolutely nothing to stop it.  Just when it looked like Biceps was going to make a comeback, Angry Jack got up and took a chair and jabbed it into Biceps’ leg.  He went down.  Reid then locked in the Figure Four Reidlock and grabbed the ropes for leverage (ref still did nothing) but he was there to immediately call as soon as Biceps hinted at a tap out.  The ref called it saying that Biceps tapped out and awarded the match to Elitism.  Elitism celebrated briefly before Master Bull came out.  Bull said that he is tired of Jack and Biceps’ interference in each other’s matches and said that they need to settle this in the ring.  Bull then makes a match pitting Biceps and the Machines against Angry Jack and Elitism.  He called the Machines back down to the ring and said that match would take place after this next update.

We get an update on Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister.  After the attack by Ivan, we learned that Davis’ nose was indeed broken and that after a bit of time off for recuperation, if he wanted back in the ring, he would have to wear a mask protecting his nose as it heals.  Davis said that he will be back in the ring before we knew it.

We cut back to the ring and now all 6 men are at the ring.  Angry Jack started off against Biceps by standing on his throat.  Jack then dragged Biceps’ face on the ropes burning his eyes.  Biceps then hit a HUMONGOUS spinebuster.  Biceps went for the pin and got the 3 count.  It only took two minutes and that was all she wrote.  Elitism left and Jack stumbled out of the ring and made his way to the back.  Biceps and the Machines celebrated and then left.

We cut backstage where Texas Wildfire, Sonic Blade and ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger are cutting a promo.  Sonic says that their time is now and with Ruth banned from ringside, maybe now they’ll get that fair shake.  It’s time for new blood and tonight, that will be them.

Regulation is also backstage but Ruth is with them.  Ruth tells them that she has everything under control.  Regulator Mammoth tells her that although he appreciates what she’s done, the three of them can handle it all.  Mule chimes in agreeing with his tag team partner.  The Banker says that Ruth has brought cohesion to their team and they need to trust her.  Mammoth speaks back up and tells the Banker that they don’t need underhanded tactics to win; they are the best team in HCW.  The Banker tells him to settle down and that everything will work out.

We head back to the ring for our next match.   First, Kimberly Kiccsass makes her way down to the ring first and she is booed as she makes her way down to the ring.  Next, Scarlett Phoenix comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  She high fives the fans as she makes her way around the ring and then into it.  The match begins almost immediately.  Kimberly kept in control of the match but slowly, Scarlett began to battle back making herself a real threat to upsetting Kim’s chances of a win.  As the match progressed, Scarlett hit Kimberly with the Black Widow but Kimberly went tumbling into the ref knocking him down.  At that point, the Duchess hit the ring and put a rag to Scarlett’s face apparently drugging her.  She began to become drowsy but before she was totally out, she left the ring.  Kimberly then woke up the ref and then locked in the Dragon Sleeper.  The ref checked on Scarlett.  He raised her arm three times and three times it fell.  He then called the match awarding it to Kimberly via submission.  Kimberly gets her arm raised as the fans boo.  She then left.  The Duchess then snuck back into the ring and began putting the boots to Scarlett.  She then hit her with the All Hail Her Majesty and then stood over Scarlett.  The fans booed louder than they did for Kimberly.  She flipped off the fans and then left.  Help came from the back and they helped Scarlett to the back.  (14 min)

Backstage, the Mexicali Flyers (using a translator) cut a promo saying that they are anxious to get a shot at the titles again.  They commented that it had been quite a long time since they held them so they want to see if they still “got it” and can reclaim those titles from the big dogs.

We then cut to a promo from the World Champion ‘the Ragin Cajun’ King Rad Gumbo.  He says he did what he had to do to protect 1) him and 2) HCW.  The fans begin to boo.  He says that he never wanted the cheers from the fans as they are about as two-faced as they come but he is and always has been the Ragin Cajun.  He will continue to do what he does that keeps him as the face of the company.  Like it or not, he’s here to stay.

We head to the ring for our next match.  First, Texas Wildfire, ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger and Sonic Blade make their way out to a huge pop from the crowd.  Next, the 6 Man Tag Team Champions come out and the Banker comes out with the Regulators.  They are booed as they head down to the ring.  Once there, The Banker tells the Regulators that he “has this” and they look sort of miffed with him.

The Mexicali Flyers get the win and become the NEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!  The Flyers celebrate with the fans as the Desperados head to the back empty handed.  After a few minutes of celebration, they too head to the back.

Just before the show could end, J C Dykes and the Unknown Assassin make their way out to the ring.  Dykes says that the Unknown Assassin is the greatest villain that HCW has ever seen.  He makes HCW so much money that he feels that he is underpaid.  Dykes alludes that their contracts are almost up and HCW has done nothing to appease them.  Dykes says that the longer HCW waits to bring a ‘real’ offer, the more they will make life miserable for everyone.  Unknown Assassin gets on the mic and says that no one ANYWHERE in HCW can touch him.  Just then, music changed and we hear “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE” and out comes Ant Graham and Dr. Red Fang; probably two of the most hated men in HCW.  Fang gets in the ring and snarls and growls.  He and Graham then get into the faces of Dykes and the Unknown Assassin and Graham stands there shaking his head.  The two most hated men just stand there staring at each other as the show comes to an end.

Thanks for tuning in.  We will be back in two weeks with more enjoyable HCW action.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #707 – Tacoma Thunder – PPV fallout

Hello fans and welcome back to our next installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder. Today, we deal with some of the fallout of last night’s PPV.  As a recap, King Rad Gumbo defeated Ned Rhyerson III (with ‘help’ from Master Bull) to keep HCW securely in the hands of its owners.   This also means that the threat that was billionaire Cushman Armitge and his stooge Emmett Millbarge has effectively been squashed and GM Max McGillicutty is securely back in charge.  The PPV also showed the true colors of US Champion Jacques Beannot when he turned on his tag team partner and mentor Drew the Canadian Love Machine and sided with the diabolical ‘Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  Tonight, Jacques asked to address the fans in regards to the decision he made.

Today’s show begins with some pyro followed by the US Champion Jacques Beannot and his manager Matt Preacher making their way out to a shower of boos.   Jacques is really put off.  He takes a mic and impatiently taps his foot waiting for the noise to die down but it doesn’t.  He tells the fans to quiet down so he can speak and that only incites them all the more.  Finally, a break comes and he takes advantage of it.

“First, I’m going to speak my mind.  When I started, you fans cheered Drew even though I'm the bigger star. You Canada and US fans can stick it. From now on, I am and always will be French and damn proud of it.  In fact, I'm renaming MY title as the International Title of France.  If you don't like it, tough!”  He then translated it for his French speaking fans.  “Quand j'ai commencé, vos fans ont applaudi Drew même si je suis la grande star. Vous, les fans du Canada et des États-Unis, pouvez le coller. À partir de maintenant, je suis et je serai toujours français et fier de lui. En fait, je renomme mon titre en titre international de la France. Si vous ne l'aimez pas, dur!”  Jacques holds his new title high over his head and Preacher stands off to the side laughing.  Eventually they both leave.

Backstage, Protocide cuts a promo saying that his former drill sergeant will be leaving a little lighter tonight.  The gold he’s carrying will change hands and he promises that the pain and suffering Hensen put him through in basic training will be paid back in spades.

More pyro goes off as the first match of the night begins.  First, we hear the ear-piercing shriek of “Ice Dagger Baby” play through the loudspeakers.  Ice Dagger makes his way out to the ring to booing from the crowd.  Next, Outback Oscar comes out to a pop from the crowd.  He makes his way down to the ring and then enters it.  Oscar was successful in controlling the first part of the match but then Ice Dagger got in a cheap shot and for a few minutes, he held his own but Oscar eventually fought back and destroyed ID.  After a short arm clothesline from Ice Dagger couldn’t shut down Oscar’s offense, he decided to end it by locking in a full nelson but then dropped Ice Dagger face first on the mat.  He rolled him over and got the 3 count.  Outback Oscar gets the win and has his arm raised in victory.  ID sulked to the back.  Oscar stayed at ringside a few moments before heading to the back also. (15 min)

Backstage, Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister is cutting a promo and has a few words for his opponent tonight.  “Ivan Dra.blah.blah. You think that attacking me costing me and my partner our match is going to make me fear you?  On the contrary, all you’ve done is piss me off.  You can’t run and hide because tonight, you get me 1:1 in the ring and tonight, I’ll show you why ‘the Hoff’ is the ‘sensation sweeping the nation’.

Next up, we have Adam Jameson and Billy Robbins making their way out to the ring to a nice pop from the crowd.  They barely make it into the ring before we hear “It’s smashin’ time” and out comes manager MJ and the Smashers.  They are booed as they make their way down to the ring.  MJ directs them to immediately attack Adam and Billy but for 4 minutes, Billy and Adam fought the Smashers off until MJ interfered giving his team the advantage and after that, it was all Smashers.  After they got tired of toying around with AJ and Billy, Smasher #2 hits Adam with a double handed choke and he goes for the pin.  Billy tried for the save but Smasher #1 rushed across the ring and knocked Billy of the apron.  Smasher #2 gets the 1-2-3 and the Smashers are back on their way up the tag team rankings.  (16 min)

We cut to pre-recorded comments from the Axe.  Axe got bludgeoned by a chain after his match yesterday with Dr. Red Fang and he was not a happy camper.  Axe promised that with his dying breath, he would rid HCW of the vampire and his jerk-off of a manager Ant Graham.  Axe says that anytime Fang wants another piece of him, he’ll be ready.

Our next match was the final one put together by Emmett Millbarge before he lost all control of HCW.   We get to see two favorites in action.  We are to assume that this will be for ranking placement in the Ladies division.  First, Ruby Rose makes her way out to the ring to a nice pop from the crowd.  After she got done psyching up the crowd, her opponent Hayley Hailstone comes out.  Hayley also got a nice reception from the crowd.  She made it to the ring and the two ladies shook hands as the bell rang starting this one off.  The match was evenly matched and neither woman seemed to give an inch.  The end of this short match was pretty spectacular to watch.  As the 6th minute of the match began, Hayley goes and nails a Tornado DDT however, it didn’t seem like Ruby’s head hit the mat as she was up almost immediately and hit an inverted DDT of her own.  She hooked both legs and was able to get the 1-2-3. Ruby Rose gets the win and the fans pop.  Ruby goes over and helps Hayley to her feet and the two shake hands.  Hayley leaves rubbing her neck as Ruby celebrates briefly with the fans before leaving.  (6 min)

Violet cuts a promo saying she’s ok but she wants Vanilla’s head on a platter.  She says that if it weren’t for Preachers interference, she would have won.  Maybe she and Vanilla need to settle this inside the confines of a steel cage.

Our next match gets the green light and Ivan Dragovich makes his way out first to booing from the crowd.  Next, Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister comes out and the fans pop huge for him.  He makes his way down to the ring and as he enters, Ivan bails.  Davis does his thing in the ring and the fans pop louder and louder.  Ivan starts off with trying for a Samoan drop but Davis reverses it and bodyslams Ivan.  Davis hits a monkey flip but Ivan connects with a fallaway slam.  Davis is up and hits a piledriver.  He goes for the pin but Ivan powers out.  Davis hits a roundhouse kick but Ivan hits him with a jumping side kick.  Ivan goes for the pin but Davis kicks out at 2.  Ivan hits another fallaway slam but Davis hurls him out of the ring.  Ivan, frustrated, grabs his Russian chain and as Davis was trying to bring Ivan back into the ring, Ivan hits him with the chain resulting in a disqualification.  Davis gets the DQ win but Ivan continues to hit him with the chain.  He began whipping Davis with it and we could see the welts start to surface on his skin.  Ivan then set Davis up in the corner.  He wrapped the chain around his fist and then plowed it directly into Davis’ face breaking his nose.  Davis dropped to the mat and we could start to see the blood flow.  Magnum Kone rushed out to his partner’s aid.  Ivan, unable to keep up his attack, left with his blood smeared chain.  Medics had to come out and provide aid and help Davis to the back.  The fans looked on in concern.  (4 ½ min)

We make our way backstage with the Hardcore Champion Hardcore Henson and his manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  Henson is pacing and Preacher asks him what is wrong.  “It can’t be…there is no way it can be him.”  Preacher tries to get Henson to clarify.  “Who is this guy and why are you so flustered by it?”  Henson just shakes his head and then looks at Preacher.  “You don’t get it.  I saw him DIE.   You know, we were on a train and he fell into an abyss…”  Preacher looked at him.  “That was a Captain America movie.”  Henson replied “Art replicates life sometimes” and he walked off with Preacher looking on.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, ‘Bad News’ Marvin Barnes comes out first and he is booed.  He flips off the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.  Next, the music changes and out comes ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston.  The fans pop huge for him as he makes his way down to the ring.  Barnes takes offense at the reception Lucas has gotten so he attacks him.  For 11 minutes Barnes controlled the match but then Lucas began to battle back and with every offensive move, the fans popped louder and louder.  At the 16 minute mark, Lucas climbed to the top turnbuckle and launched connecting with a flying body press.  He made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Lucas gets the win and the fans pop accordingly.  Barnes tried to attack Lucas afterwards but Lucas reversed an irish whip and sent Barnes tumbling out of the ring.  Lucas celebrates as Barnes, grumbling, makes his way to the back.  (16 min)

We start in hospital following TNT. He goes to a room and enters. SJ is unconscious and has the usual hospital equipment. Sitting there is a woman and she greets Templeton warmly and uses his name.  He explains he wanted to see SJ and starts to describe the match and asks why SJ hates him. The woman takes Templeton by the hand and says, '”he doesn't hate you.  You see, Scooter J sees a younger version of himself in you and he has mentioned this to me numerous times.  He sees a great potential in you and wants to motivate you to be bigger and better than your brothers.  He truly feels you can lead the way as part of wrestling’s future.  He does understand that wrestling is an art and longs to be part of shaping it.  I don’t know if you know this but SJ did start off as, what do you call it…the job squad.  He took his beatings and found a mentor and learned the ropes.  He got here because of what he learned and hoped you would do the same.”  TNT just sat back and took it all in.

It’s time for our main event.  Tonight, the Hardcore title will be on the line.  First, the challenger Protocide comes out and the fans give him a decent pop.  Next, a disheveled Hardcore Hensen makes his way out with his manager ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  Henson keeps shaking his head in disbelief.  He makes his way into the ring and Protocide meets him face to face in the middle of the ring.  A conversation begins and then the fists begin to fly.

Just before the cameras stopped rolling, we get a treat.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out and introduces Phoenix GM Master Bull.  Both men get a pop from the crowd.
Max says that the owners kept him in the dark about Master Bull so that everything (plan C) would play out the way it was intended.  Bull apologized for the chair shots he delivered to Max but he was told to “sell” it so he did.  Bull says he’s glad the charade is over and he can go back to managing the Phoenix brand.  Bull says that a major announcement will be made at the Phoenix show which was being pushed back one day to 8/30.

With that, the show comes to an end.  We are intrigued by what the announcement could be so be sure to stay tuned.
