Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. On the show today, the NEW US Champion Texas Wildfire defends his title. In our main event, Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie defends her title. ‘Sassy’ Maxine DeVito is expected to be lurking in the shadows so Violet better keep her eyes open.
The
show begins with pyro going off and the spotlights zipping around the
arena. After everything calmed down, a
video played recapping the evil deeds that Dash Woodbrick inflicted on Dennis
Marshall. After the video was completed,
a live feed pops up and we see Dennis in a full body cast laying in a hospital
bed. Dennis says that Dash may have
broken his body but he hasn’t broken his spirit. He will be back before you know it. The fans
pop but then turn sour when Dash makes his way out to the ring. He is mockingly rubbing his eyes. He gets in the ring and snatches the mic out
of the hand of the ring announcer. Dash
continues laughing. “Boo hoo…I’m hurt…I
can’t wrestle. Listen up crybaby, you
are weak. You will NEVER….EEEEEVer stack
up to me”. Music plays and out walks
Dennis. Dennis stands on the very stage
he suffered his injury on but he appears to be 100%. Dash’s eyes go all wide and then visibly
gulps. Dennis says “It’s on like Donkey
Kong. You and me…2 weeks…in a Steel
Cage. You can’t run; you can’t
hide. Prepare for the worst ass-kicking
ever.” Dennis starts to walk towards the
ring but Dash runs off, jumps the railing and takes off through the crowd. Dennis barely made it halfway down the
ramp. He turned and shook a few of the
fans’ hands and make his way backstage.
Our
show is ready to get underway. The
loudspeakers blare out “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and out comes Apollo. The fans boo the crap out of him. He flips them off and enters the ring. After a bit of jaw jacking with the fans, the
music changed and out comes Casper Wyoming.
The fans pop for the cowboy and he shakes hands with the fans as he
makes his way ringside. He enters the
ring and Apollo immediately gets in his face.
A bit of shoving occurs and the ref starts the match off quickly.

letting the ref count.

steals a win and on his way to the back, a fan asked him to apologize and Apollo
was getting ready to spout his famous phrase but turned his back on the fan and
walked to the back. Once Casper got
freed, he went in search for Wicked Prophet.
Backstage
US Champion Texas Wildfire is cutting an interview. He states that he’s looking forward to
defending the title tonight but is also curious as to whom he may face at the
PPV. He is, by no means, looking past
Ivan Dragovich tonight but with the support of the fans on his side, he’s sure
he will be victorious.
Up
next is some tag team action. First, TV
Champion Maximillian Redbeard and Superquake Ferguson came out to a nice pop
from the crowd. They made their way to
ringside and climbed in stepping over the top rope. They didn’t have to wait long as the music
changed and out comes the 5th Column – Baron von Blood and Oswald
Zimmerman. The duo are booed as they
head to the ring. The Column threatened
to hit a few fans but showed restraint.
They got in the ring and the match began almost immediately. Right off the bat, Redbeard and Ferguson
controlled the match for nearly its entirety.
There were plenty of high spots as well as low (rest holds). We now join the match at the 26 minute mark.

Backstage,
the Ambassador says he’s going to give a member of Devastation, Inc. the
opportunity to open a can of Whoop Ass on Phantom Frank. Barry Morningstar, Azrael and Madman Mason drew
straws but before we saw who won, Barry shouted out “How about we give him to
Mongo (Blazing Saddles reference), err, I mean Dr. Red Fang?” Everyone got a laugh out of it and Fang
started to laugh like a crazy person.
Up
next is our US Title match. First, Ivan
Dragovich comes out and is booed heavily.
He flips the fans off and makes his way into the ring. He is a very imposing figure. He doesn’t have to wait long as the US
Champion Texas Wildfire makes his way out.
The fans pop huge for him. He
shakes hands and makes his way down to the ring. He climbs into the ring and goes over to the
corner. He climbs to the second
turnbuckle and holds the title high.
Ivan, not wanting to wait, attacks him to start the match. The cheap shot Ivan got in was all he was
able to really do as the champion dominated him. It didn’t take very long (11 minutes) for TW
to drop Ivan with a leaping DDT and hooking the leg to get the 3 count. It almost seemed that when you factored the
time TW spent with the fans before heading to the back was longer than his
match went. Congrats Champ.
Hardcore
Champion Wilber Townsend is backstage.
He says that Phantom Frank got involved in his last match and he really
wants to be done with him. Wilber says
he will give Frank one last shot at his title and if he loses again, he’s
moving on. Wilber then starts to laugh
maniacally and we wonder if he’s up to something.
We’re
ready to get our next match going.
First. Phantom Frank comes out to a nice pop from the crowd. He glides down to the ring on what appears to
be a cloud of smoke. He gets into the
ring and patiently awaits his opponent. The
loudspeakers then blast out “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY” and out comes the
Ambassador and the diabolical Dr. Red Fang.
The duo head to the ring and the Ambassador goes over to
commentary. He puts on a headset and
says that Dr. Red Fang doesn’t need his help this match as Phantom Frank is
such a pushover. He is questioned if he
knows something the fans don’t and he plays coy. Before the match could begin, Wilber Townsend
appeared from under the ring and attacked Frank. He dragged him out of the ring and hurled him
into the steel steps. He then smacked
Frank’s head against the steel post. You
could see blood seeping through his mask.
Wilber then hit Frank with the GTS on the floor. He pushed/rolled Frank back in. The ref lambasted Wilber for interfering. The Ambassador sat at commentary laughing. Frank said he wanted the match to
continue. The ref reluctantly called for
the match to begin.

Wilber appears on the stage and tells Phantom Frank that if he’s not
able to make their match, he won’t get another one. He laughs and walks off. Frank gets to his feet and tells the medics
he’ll meet them backstage. He walks to
the back under his own power and the fans give him a nice pop.
As
we get ready for our main event, we are backstage with Ladies Champion Violet
Valkyrie. She says that all she’s be
able to think about lately is the betrayal by her “friend” known as ‘Broken’
Korbi Kong and her diabolical handler ‘Sassy’ Maxine DeVito. She says she should be concentrating on
tonight’s opponent but she admits that Maxine has gotten into her head. She says she’ll need the fans cheering her on
more than ever and as long as one fans cheers, she’ll find a way to get through
this.
It
is time for our main event. First,
Kimberly Kiccsass comes out to massive booing from the crowd. She gets into the ring and takes the
microphone. She says that Violet’s
mistake is looking past her. Tonight,
she takes the Ladies title and then a REAL champion will finally hold the belt;
not some wannabe pretender.
The
music changes and out comes Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie to the loudest pop
of the night. It sounds like every fan
in the building is on her side cheering her on.
She gets into the ring and you can tell her confidence just
skyrocketed. She hands the title to the
ref and the match begins.
