HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #777 – Tacoma Thunder (6/30)

Hello fans and welcome to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  Today, GM Max McGillicutty has taken us on the road and our show tonight comes to you live from Everett, WA.   Max begins the show with some pyro and some announcements.  He states that both teams will be adding to their rosters so some swizzling needs to be done.   First, the 6 Man Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) and Biceps Bannerman are all being moved to Tacoma.  The Phoenix Heat roster pics up the Smashers so that they can more easily team up with their 6 man partner Tommy Lightning.   Max also tells us that a stipulation is being added to the Tag Team title match at the PPV.  If Scooter J and TNT lose, they must disband.   He adds that tonight will see a contract signing between Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie and the #1 contender Hayley Hailstone.   The US title is also on the line tonight with the Champion the Wicked Prophet (w/ the Singapore Sensation Matt Preacher) defending the title against former champion Leon Teremoto.  All this and more will be coming your way.  Pyro goes off again as Max departs so the show can officially begin.

Starting things off is a spot challenge.  First, Vanilla Zombie comes out with her manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  The duo make their way to the ring booed the entire way.  Preacher gets on the mic and says that Vanilla is challenging Lady Hermann for her spot in the Ladies Top 10 lineup.  Lady Hermann comes out and power walks to the ring.  She gets in and towers over Preacher but is almost eye to eye with Vanilla Zombie.  Once the bell rang, Lady Hermann dominated the match for the first 9 minutes of the match but with outside interference from Preacher, things began to go Vanilla’s way and she held control of the match up until the very end.  At the 17 minute mark, Lady Hermann hit the ropes and nailed Vanilla with a backdrop stunner.  It appeared Vanilla was hurt.  The ref tried to send Lady Hermann to her own corner but she guided the ref to the other side of the ring.  Preacher rushed over and threw power into Lady Hermann’s eyes.  Vanilla quickly rolled her up and was able to get the 1-2-3.  Vanilla moves up in the rankings and Lady Hermann moves down.   Preacher raises Vanilla’s arm and the two of them leave.  (18 min)

We cut back to GM Max McGillicutty’s office and he is there with the Hardcore Champion Apollo Gyze.  Max demands that Apollo apologize for costing Master Bull his managing of the Phoenix brand and Apollo responds with (in your best Mr. T voice) “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE”.  That sucka got what was coming to him.”  Max says “You leave me no choice.  Originally, I was going to give you the PPV off but now I’ve reconsidered and you will be on the show defending the Hardcore title.  And…it will be against Nix Anderson.”  Apollo is irate and began kicking things around the room before storming out.

Next up, Adam Jameson makes his way out first to a pop from the crowd.  Next, his opponent Nix Anderson comes out and he is getting a mixed reaction from the Everett crowd.  He gets into the ring and starts strumming his ukulele.  He invites a little girl into the ring to do a singalong and that gets the crowd on his side.  Nix took control of the match and held it until the end.  In the final 3 minutes of the match, Adam didn’t do anything except absorb the punishment Nix delivered.  Nix noticed that Adam wasn’t putting up much of a fight and delivered some chops to the chest.  He went for the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Nix gets the win.  He helps Adam out of the ring but before he could leave, Apollo Gyze runs in from the crowd and chop blocks Nix.  He hits the spin out powerbomb and Nix is down.  Apollo stands over him laughing holding his title high.  He smirks and then leaves the ring.  The ref helped Nix to the back.  (11 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

There is a brief break in the action and then former World Champion the Banker comes storming out.  He gets on the mic and says he was robbed of his title and wants an immediate rematch.  This brings out Davis Hoffmeister.  Davis grabs the mic and says that the Banker cheated and everyone saw it.  If anyone should be getting the next title match, it should be him.  This brought out GM Max McGillicutty.  Max joins them in the ring and says that both men truly are deserving but only one can claim the next spot.  Max says that Davis and the Banker should have a match at the PPV with the winner getting the next shot at the World Champion.  Max asks the two to shake on it.  They do.  The Banker storms off but Max says he wasn’t done.  To keep this between the two of them, it will take place within the confines of a steel cage.  The fans pop and Davis smiles big.  The Banker has a fit and then storms off.  Max and Davis shake hands and then leave.

Our next match is ready to go.  First, Shawn ‘Abs of Stone’ Austin and Perfect Pecs Stoddard make their way out to booing from the crowd.  They jawjacked with the fans before getting into the ring.  They continued their verbal onslaught until the music changed and out comes the team of Superquake Ferguson and Maximillian Redbeard.  The fans popped for them.  They make their way down but Maximillian stops and points to a fans’ sign that reads “Redbeard/Ferguson:  Future Tag Team Champions”.  Redbeard gives the fan a high five.   He and Ferguson get into the ring.  The match begins with double teaming from Redbeard and Superquake and that spelled out how this match was going to go (133 to 47).  Superquake spent a lot of time in the ring but made the most of it.  When Redbeard would get tagged in, the fans would just pop huge.   At the 9 minute mark, Redbeard reversed some chops and hit a leg drop for a close 2 count.  He then picked Austin up and whipped him to the ropes hitting a huge powerslam.  Abs is out.  Redbeard makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Ferguson and Redbeard score a huge win.  They leave and Pecs has to peel Abs off the mat and helps his partner to the back.  (10 min)

World Champion Texas Wildfire has a pre-taped video play.  He says that he’s ecstatic to be World Champion and promises to do it all for the fans.  He says that even though his match against Matches Malone will be a Scaffold match, it will also have the World title on the line.  The fans pop.

The action continues as Bishop Ripley makes his way out and down to the ring.  He is getting a mixed reaction from the crowd.  The music changes and out comes 1/3rd of the 6 Man Tag Champs Biceps Bannerman.  The fans pop pretty loud for him.  He gets in the ring and does some poses before the match starts off.  Biceps started off strong and dominated for the entire match tossing Bishop around like a rag doll.  Surprising, Biceps let the match go almost the distance before finally ending it.  At the 19 minute mark, he hoisted Bishop over his head and pressed him a couple of times before slamming him hard to the mat.  He made the cover and got the uncontested 3 count.  Biceps gets the win in dominating fashion.  He celebrates with the fans before making his way to the back.

We cut to the backstage area where Leon Teremoto is being interviewed.  Leon says that Wilber didn’t do anything crazy but did open his eyes to new and different things.  He says that Wilber has taught him patience and that will pay off tonight when he gets his rematch for the US title.  All of a sudden, Leon’s eyes roll into the back of his head and he begins a weird chant.  He suddenly snaps out of it and looks around as people are staring at him quizzically.

Outback Oscar makes his way out to a pop from the crowd.  He gets into the ring and tries to get the crowd psyched up.  The music changes and we hear “Ice Dagger Baby” (a very bad ripoff of Ice Ice Baby) and out comes Ice Dagger.  The fans boo the crap out of him and he flips them off in return.  He gets in the ring and continues taunting the crowd.  The match finally begins.  This one saw both men trade holding the advantage throughout the entire match.  This one went the distance ending in a 20 minute draw.  That however didn’t stop both men to take the fight to the outside of the ring and duke it out all the way to the back.  (20 min draw)

After a few moments pass, it is time for the contract signing between Hayley Hailstone and the Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie.  First, GM Max McGillicutty comes out as the table is set up in the ring.  Max sits at the head of the table.  First, Hayley Hailstone comes out and the fans pop.  She makes her way down to the ring high-fiving with the fans.  She gets in and sits down at the table.  The music changes and out comes the Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie.  The fans pop HUGE as Violet comes out.  She poses on the stage as pyro goes off.  She makes her way down to the ring and climbs in.  She climbs one turnbuckle holding her title high as the fans applaud.   She sits down at the table.  Max goes over the stipulations of the match.  Both Hayley and Violet sign and then shake hands.  They are then interrupted by ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher who comes out flanked by Vanilla Zombie and Sassy Maxine DeVito.   The trio walk down to the ring and enter it.  Preacher has a mic insists that Maxine and Vanilla Zombie be in the match.  He directs his team to attack Hayley and Violet who team up to send Vanilla and Maxine out of the ring.  Max then declares that the Ladies Title match will now become a Fatal Four Way.  Preacher seems happy and he and his team begin walking away.  Max says that if Vanilla nor Maxine win, he is out of a job and if one of them gets pinned, they will follow him out the door.  His eyes go all bug eyed wide and tries to backtrack but is unsuccessful.   Looks to be an exciting match for these four ladies.

Backstage, US Champion the Wicked Prophet is cutting a promo.   He says that his manger has his hands full with figuring out the Ladies title match so he will be solo for this title defense.  He says that Leon is a former champion with the key word being “former”.  He will continue on as the US Champion until he is ready to set his sights on a world title.

It’s time for our main event.  First, Leon Teremoto comes out to a pop from the crowd.  He gets into the ring and does some stretches to loosen up for the match.  Next, the music changes and comes the US Champion the Wicked Prophet.  He walks out holding his title high and he gets a mixed reaction from the crowd.  He hands over the title and the match begins.  Prophet started off strong but Leon began to battle back.  During the match, after hitting a spinebuster, instead of going for the pin, he went and sat down in the corner with his eyes rolling back into his head again.   He would snap out of it but lost his momentum.  Prophet managed to take control back after repeatedly whipping Leon into the corners, he applied the Crucifix clutch and he was able to get Leon to tap out.  The Wicked Prophet gets the win via submission and retains his title.  The fans are unsure on how to respond until WP’s tag team partner came out.  Apollo Gyze headed down to the ring and tried to soak in his friend’s glory.  Leon rolled out of the ring and walked to the back in a daze.  Prophet also left leaving Apollo in the ring.

Apollo gets on the mic and begins blasting the fans until new music plays and Apollo’s eyes go wide.  Out comes a new guy – someone we’ve never seen before.  He is wearing a shirt that reads “Killa Pops” on the front and “Is in the house” on the back.   The new guy stands on the stage and shakes his head at Apollo who mouths “what are you doing here” back at him.  The show then comes to an end in very confusing fashion.

The PPV is up next.  Hopefully we’ll find out more who this new person is and maybe get some insight into who that flannel wearing fella was in that “Timmmbbbeeerrr” promo.  Stay tuned.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #776 – Phoenix Heat (6/26)

Hello fans and welcome to our latest episode of Phoenix Heat.   The show begins with the newly appointed GM Ruth Heartless making her way out to booing from the crowd.  She makes some very unflattering comments about the weight of some of the fans and that got them all the more riled up.  She said that Master Bull will be live here tonight and will be told what his future will hold.  She says that Bull made life miserable for the Banker so she will do the same to him.  No, she won’t fire him but rest assured, he will get what’s coming to him.  She continues and says that she tried but was unable to nullify the main event tonight so the Banker will be defending the World title against Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister.  The fans pop for Davis but she warns the fans to shut up and sit down or she will make life miserable for all the fans in attendance.  Ruth marches down to the ring and then calls out Master Bull demanding he join her in the ring.  Master Bull comes out to a nice pop and makes his way into the ring.  She tells him that she should do the world a favor and fire him but she will not make life easy for him.  Effective immediately, Master Bull is now an in-ring performer.  He seems to be ok with that.  She goes on and says that Bull thinks he’s tougher than anyone so tonight, in fact, right now, he gets to be in a handicap match against these two men.  She leaves the ring as music hits and out comes the World Tag Team Champions Mean Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson.   It appears Master Bull will have his hands full tonight.  They hit the ring and do everything they can to annoy the fans.  The match is ready to begin.

Angry Jack immediately begins by throwing Master Bull into the ring post.   Mean Jack tags in but is immediately thrown out of the ring by Bull.  He makes it back in by the count of 4.  Mean Jack hits a vertical suplex and then dawdles in the ring.  We then see two people sneaking in from the crowd.  Bull recovers enough to throw Mean Jack out of the ring again.  The two people are revealed to be Scooter J and TNT.  Bull distracts the ref as Scooter J and TNT double powerbomb Mean Jack through a table and then leave.  Mean Jack stirs but is unable to make it back in to the ring.  Mean Jack is counted out and Master Bull gets the win.  Angry Jack is pissed and he attacks Bull delivering 3 consecutive chokeslams.  He was going for a 4th until Anthony ‘Static’ Boom comes out and saves Bull from further damage.  Boom helps Bull to the back.  The fans cheer for them.  Angry Jack goes out to help his partner to the back.

The newly appointed GM Ruth Heartless is in her office when the Axe comes storming in.  He demands to know what the hell all that was that interrupted his match.  Ruth says she didn’t know but was already looking into it.  Axe says he’s pissed and wants a match tonight.  Ruth tells him to head to the ring and she’ll send someone out shortly.

The Axe comes out to a pop from the crowd but he makes a beeline for the ring.  He gets in and starts pacing waiting for his opponent to come out.  The lights go out except for a single lantern.  Wilber Townsend makes his way to the ring and as he enters the ring, the lights slowly come up.  Axe goes right on the offensive.  He let his anger get the best of him and he began making mistakes…ones that Wilber picked right up on and began to own the match.  The longer it went on, the more Wilber fed off of Axe’s anger and now frustration and he totally dominated the final minutes of the match. This one was coming up on the 20 minute time limit when Wilber began hammering Axe’s back with fists.  He went for the cover but only got a 2 count before the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish.  Axe however wasn’t done and he and Wilber fought all the way to the back.

We’re back in Ruth’s office and this time the World Tag Team Champions Mean Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson storm in.  Mean Jack says that Scooter J and TNT interfered and they should be fired however he thinks that it would be better if they lost their title shot.  Ruth makes a match tonight for the Jacks to take on Scooter J and TNT.  If SJ/TNT lose, they will lose any future title shot however if they win, they get the title shot at the PPV next week.  Angry Jack promises Ruth will have to find them new opponents as these will be disposed of.  Before The Jacks left, Ruth told them that since they are defending the titles at the PPV, they will not be required to defend them in June.  They smirk and then leave.

Sassy Maxine DeVito comes out accompanied by her manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  Maxine says she has to hand it to Hayley as she put up a greater fight; more than she could imagine.  She though feels she should be getting a shot at Violet’s title but needs to move up the rankings first.  She then issues a challenge to Kimberly Kiccsass for her spot.  Kimberly comes out to a small pop from the crowd.  She makes her way to the ring and accepts.  Kimberly got in a good shot but then Maxine took over controlling the pace of the match.  At the 11 minute mark, Maxine climbed to the top rope but Kimberly arm dragged her from her perch down to the mat.  Maxine did manage to hit a dropkick that sent Kimberly tumbling out of the ring.  Maxine followed her out and then introduced Kimberly to the steel steps the hard way.  She rolled back in just barely beating the 10 count.  The bell is rung and Maxine wins the match by CO.  The ref was just going to say that spots do not change hands on a CO but then GM Ruth Heartless came out and said that at her discretion, based on how well someone was doing, if they were dominating as Maxine was, then she moves up in the rankings and Kimberly drops.  She then leaves and the fans boo once again as Maxine jumps for joy.  (11 ½ min)

Backstage, the Steel Curtain are just chatting and Ruth walks by.  She asks “Don’t you have something better to do than sit around eating all our food?”  Starbuck says “Give us a match if you’re that desperate.”  She starts to fume and says that they are up next and better get to the ring.  Buzz watches her leave and says “What a maroon”.  Starbuck smiles and says “Word”.

Making their way out first for the tag team match is the team of the Ryzing Storm – Travis and Terra Ryzing.  The fans boo them.  Terra steals a fan’s sign and tears it up.  The two get in the ring and throw the pieces into the audience.  The music changes and the fans pop HUGE for the Steel Curtain.  Buzz and Starbuck Steel make their way out and high five with the fans as they make their way to the ring.  They get in but are immediately attacked by the Ryzing Storm.  The attack did very little good as the Steel Curtain DOMINATED (172 to 47) in this 15 minute bout.  Needless to say, the Ryzing Storm was embarrassed quite a bit and even more so when Starbuck rolled up Terra in a small package but hooked the tights for extra leverage.  The Curtain gets the win and the fans couldn’t be happier.  They stayed and celebrated with the fans as the Ryzing Storm sulked to the back.  The Curtain eventually followed.  (15 min)

Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister is backstage cutting a promo.  “You know, it took me a long time to get to this place and now, the World title is in my grasp.  Banker, you have no manager watching your back anymore.  Tonight, you have to face me one on one and the better man, me, will be walking out as the champion.”

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Scooter J and TNT make their way out to a nice pop from the crowd.  The do some interacting with the fans but get into the ring fairly quick.  The music changes abruptly and out comes the World Tag Team Champions the Jacks.  They make a beeline for the ring and immediately try to charge their opponents but TNT and SJ moves and pull down the top rope and the Jacks go sailing to the floor.  The fans got a good laugh out of that.  Pissed, the Jacks get in the ring and this one starts immediately.  Tonight, SJ and TNT had the champs’ number and if this had been a title match, the belts would have been in jeopardy.  About 8 minutes in, Mean Jack hit Scooter J with the Psychotic Break and got a near fall that was broken up by TNT.  Double teaming by Scooter J and TNT kept the champs on the defensive.   At the 10 minute mark, SJ catches Mean Jack with a superkick at the same time TNT rushed and hit Angry Jack with a tackle that took them both out of the ring.  SJ made the cover and got the 3 count.  Scooter J and TNT are next in line for the titles.  TNT joined SJ in the ring and the two celebrated as the Jacks were handed their second loss of the night.  (10 min)

Ruth is back in her office and she is with the World Champion the Banker.  The Banker is still trying to figure out how to get out of tonight’s match.  “It’s iron clad.  Bull knew what he was doing when he set that up.  I can tell you this though…tonight, you will have the last laugh after you defeat Davis and send him packing.  You’ll beat him so bad that he’ll revert back to his masked personae just so he doesn’t have to show his face.”  “You’re right…I will beat him and he will rue the day he tried to mess with ME!”  The Banker turns and leaves.

It’s now time for our main event.  The familiar music plays and out comes ‘the Hoff’ Davis Hoffmeister to one of the loudest pops of the evening.  He interacts with the fans and makes his way around the ring to shake hands with them.  He rolls under the bottom rope and then climbs each of the corner turnbuckles to louder and louder pops.  His music is cut off and out comes the World Champion the Banker.  He has the title slung over his shoulder and he holds it high as pyro goes off behind him.  He saunters down to the ring and takes his time getting in.  Finally, he enters the ring and bypasses his challenger holding his title high as the fans boo him incessantly.  He flips them off and then hands the title to the ref.  The ref holds it up showing the title is on the line.  He rings the bell.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #775 – Tacoma Thunder (6/23) - SUPERSHOW

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Tonight, we present to you, live from Tacoma, WA our Super Show commemorating 775 issues of the wrestling newsletter.  HCW continues to bring you action from some of the greatest stars in the business.  Tonight, we will have one title match with TV Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine defending his title against the Axe.    Our main event will be headlined by World Champion the Banker putting his career on the line against Phoenix’s GM Master Bull who will be putting his career as GM of the Phoenix on the line.  Tonight, there must be a winner – a draw will not suffice.

The show begins back in the office of GM Max McGillicutty.  He is with Master Bull.  They are going over some papers.  Bull starts up “So in the event that somehow, I lose, this should all go into effect.”  Max says “He may not be on the best footing with the fans but you know, we can’t go wrong with having the Wicked Prophet as the ref.  He may be teaming with Apollo (Master Bull rolls his eyes) but he calls it as he sees it and we don’t have to worry about a payoff.”  “Fine” Master Bull says. “That takes care of that.  Now, we have to ensure that the Banker’s manager Ruth Heartless is banned from ringside.  Any sense of impropriety and the Banker loses and is out.  Now, if I so happen to lose, what will happen with the GM spot?”  Max thinks about it “Well, I can run both shows or we could look as a temporary GM…wait….what is this?”  Max takes a closer look at the contract.  “Well, if that doesn’t take the cake.  This says that if the Banker wins, he gets to choose the next GM.”  “Well, F**K” Master Bull exclaimed.  “I better make sure he doesn’t win.”

Pyro goes off and our show is ready to go.  The show begins with Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister coming out to a HUGE pop from the crowd.  Davis makes his way down to the ring and is ready to begin.  The Banker appears on the Omegatron and says that he thought long and hard about it and finally settled on this person to destroy Davis and make sure he never gets a World title shot.  The loudspeakers blare out “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE” and out comes the evil vampire Dr. Red Fang.  Up on the Omegatron, the Banker is laughing.  Fang makes his way out snarling and growling at the booing fans.  Fang gets in the ring and immediately attacks Davis starting the match off.  After the initial attack, it was all Davis.  Fang narrowly got counted out 3 times but each time Davis brought him back into the ring.  Davis went for multiple pin attempts but Fang kept kicking out each time.  After making it back into the ring after getting tossed out, Fang gets caught with a flying drop kick from Davis.  The Banker shows up on the Omegatron and mocks Davis after Fang kicked out at 1.  Davis whipped Fang to the ropes and hit a huge clothesline. Davis makes the cover hooking the leg and smirks at the Banker’s image on the screen as the ref’s hand hits the mat for a 3rd time.  Davis Hoffmeister gets the win and enters the World title top 10.  Davis leaves to a huge pop from the crowd.  (18 min)

Backstage, Sassy Maxine DeVito says she’s going to melt that hailstone and she’ll be nothing more than a teeny tiny puddle of water.  She laughs as she walks off camera.

The crowd pops as Hayley Hailstone’s music hits.  She comes out and high-fives the fans and then rushes to the ring sliding under the bottom rope.  She climbs each of the corner turnbuckles and the fans pop.  She has changed her look and the fans seem to notice.  The music changes and out comes Sassy Maxine DeVito.  The fans boo her but she doesn’t care.  She walks down to the ring with a smirk and a swagger that tells the fans that they can ‘stick it’.  She gets into the ring and walks up to Hayley and towers over her trying to intimidate her.  Hayley hits a leg sweep and brings Maxine crashing down to the mat. The fans pop.  The bell rings starting this one off.  The two brawled for 7 minutes before Hayley hit the “What the Hail?” and went for a pin.  Maxine was able to kick out and then rolled out of the ring to give herself a break.  She came back in but Hayley was waiting for her.  Hayley drops her with a DDT but only gets a 2 count.  Maxine attempted a rollup grabbing a handful of tights but Hayley kicked out at 1.  The match would go back and forth but Hayley was in control for most of it.  As the time limit began ticking down, Hayley hit the ‘What the Hail?’ but the match took its toll on her and she was slow to make the cover.  Finally she got an arm draped over Maxine but Maxine kicked right out.  28 minutes in, Maxine hit two consecutive ‘Sass Attacks’ but when she went for the pin, Hayley found the intestinal fortitude to kick out much to Maxine’s amazement.   Maxine yelled “What do I have to do to put you down?”  Hayley got up and hit a lifting reverse S.T.O.  She made the cover hooking the leg at got the 1-2-3.  Hayley Hailstone wins this one in HUGE fashion.  The fans pop is almost deafening.  Hayley has secured the #1 spot for the Ladies title after this win.  Maxine sulked to the back and Hayley celebrated with the fans before leaving.  (29 min)

We head backstage for a promo from Texas Wildfire.  TW says that Matches Malone has been a thorn in his side for some time and now it’s time for him to end this.

We’re back at the ring for our next match.  First, Matches Malone comes out to booing from the crowd.  He flicks matchsticks at them which just makes them all the more irate.  He gets into the ring and mocks the fans.  The music changes and the fans pop at Texas Wildfire makes his way out.  He wastes no time and rushes the ring and Malone bails.  Wildfire motions for Malone to get back in the ring but Malone takes his time.  Finally, Malone makes his way in and the match begins.  This one is an all out brawl.  They seem to have thrown the rule book out as the ref gave up trying to maintain order.  After about 15 minutes, the two finally became more manageable and the ref got back in to make a count after Malone reversed a move from Wildfire and dropped him with an overhead right.  He only got a 2 count which infuriated Malone.   Wildfire hits a Hangman’s Clothesline and goes for a pin but Malone kicks out.   Wildfire went for a snap powerslam but it was reversed and Malone went for some overhead rights but TW moved at the last minute nullifying the move.  As we entered the final minute of the match, Malone kicked TW in the gut but Wildfire locked in a standing armbar.  The bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish.  Malone left and grabbed a mic.  He mocked the fact that TW can’t seem to beat him at anything and he went on saying that he could defeat TW in any kind of match.  TW got a mic and asked “So if I pick one final match, you’re good with that?”  Malone laughed and said yes as he wants to be done with Wildfire.  “Any Match…just to clarify.”  Malone let out an exhaustive “yes”.  Wildfire smiled and said that at the July Meltdown PPV in just a few weeks, the two of them will meet…on a SCAFFOLD!  Malone panicked and tried to back out but the challenge had been made and accepted.  It looks like their feud comes to an end with someone getting seriously hurt.  (Draw)

We head backstage for another set of interviews.  First, we begin with the Axe.  Axe says he feels he been languishing in mediocrity and not used to his full potential.  Ever since he lost the World Title, he’s been relegated to mid card status and now he has a chance to become TV champion.  He looks forward to showing Drew who the better man is.

Also backstage is the TV Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  Drew says that Axe is a tower of a man but the bigger they are, the harder they fall.  Drew tells Axe not to underestimate him or the backing of his fans – the CLM’ers.  Drew says he’ll meet Axe in the ring.

Our next match is ready to begin.  First, the Axe comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.  He however doesn’t interact with them as he makes his way down to the ring.  He gets in and leans over the top rope on each side with a raised arm in the air.   Next, the music changes and out comes the TV Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  The pop from the fans is nearly deafening.  Drew comes out with the TV title around his waist and he high fives the fans as he makes his way down and around the ring.  He climbs in, removes the title and climbs the turnbuckle holding the belt high.  The fans pop again.  He drops down heading to the next turnbuckle but Axe stands in his way.  Axe is much taller than Drew and is using his size to intimidate the champ.  Drew just stares at him and walks around him.  He poses with the title again and again the fans respond.  The match can finally begin as Drew hands his title to the ref who holds it high.   Axe dominated the first few minutes but then the champ took over.  Axe did get a couple of near falls after hitting the champ with the Axe.  Leading into the final moments of the match, it was closer than anyone could have expected.  Axe goes for a power punch but Drew neutralizes it.  Drew catches Axe with a superkick that stunned the big man.  Axe managed to shake it off and picked up Drew for a backbreaker but then there was an interruption on the Omegatron…we hear “TIIMMMMMMBBBEEERRRRRR” and see a guy wearing a flannel shirt.  The video turned off a few seconds later but Axe had become distracted by it and had dropped Drew.  Drew then hit Axe with the Lover Bomb and made the cover and hooking the leg to get the 3 count just seconds before the match was set to expire.  Drew wins the match and retains his title in a very hard fought match.  Axe was pissed and he left the ring storming to the back to see just what the hell that was.  Drew stayed and celebrated with the fans before also leaving.  (20 min)

We cut to the interview area where Phoenix Heat GM Master Bull is being interviewed.  Master Bull is asked what he thinks his chances are at winning.  “The Banker is a bully.  I don’t have to be wary of any outside interference as he doesn’t have any friends and no one will save his ass.  For those of you who may not remember, I DID have a stint in the ring when I was part of the Super Warrior’s team – then I was known as Centurion – the Roman Warrior.  I haven’t forgotten what it’s like to be in a ring and the Banker will be looking for a new place to call home before you know it.”

Also backstage cutting his own promo is the World Champion the Banker.  The Banker is with his manager Ruth Heartless.  The interviewer asks if the Banker realized that Ruth is not allowed at ringside for this match.  “What?  What are you talking about?  Of course my manager will be with me at ringside.”  The Banker is handed a piece of paper he about loses it.  “SON OF A BITCH”…Master Bull, you’re going to pay dearly for that.”  He and Ruth then storm off.

Back in GM Max McGillicutty’s office, he is with the Wicked Prophet.  “Prophet, I can’t tell you how much is riding on this.  Are you up to the challenge?”  “Max, I am the US Champion.  I am prepared for anything.  Speaking of which, when am I back on TV defending my title?”  Max looks at his papers.  “Looks like a week back here in Tacoma…and it will be against former champion Leon Teremoto.”  “Got it” WP replied.  “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a match to go call.”  Prophet walks out the door and heads toward the ring.  A figure dressed in black quietly sneaks over to Max’s office and placed a padlock on his office.  Max hears something but realizes he’s been locked in his office.  Uh Oh.  The figure in black creeps away.

It’s time for our Main Event.  At stake…The Banker’s job (and subsequently the World Title) as well as his manager Ruth Heartless’ position within the company against Master Bull’s managing of the Phoenix Heat brand.  We learned that Ruth is banned from ringside so this one will be up to the Banker to make it all happen on his own.  We were also just told that this will be a no DQ/no countout match to ensure there is a winner.  First, the Wicked Prophet comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd dressed in his stripes outfit.  Prophet may not be well liked but can be counted on to call it right down the middle.  Next, GM Master Bull comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.  He makes his way right to the ring and gets in.  The music changes and out comes the World Champion the Banker and his manager Ruth Heartless.  The lights go out except for a single spotlight on the World Champion.  He hands Ruth his title and begins his walk to the ring.  The fans are booing the crap out of him.   He gets into the ring and stands nose to nose with Bull.  The bell rings and the two begin slugging it out.

HOLY CRAP!!!  The Banker gets the win and with that, Master Bull is no longer the GM of Phoenix Heat.  The Banker falls to his knees in the ring and begins laughing.  Master Bull is speechless.  The figure in black is standing on the ramp and he removes his mask and it’s none other than…Apollo Gyze.  The Banker is joined in the ring by his manager Ruth who hands him his title and briefcase.  The Banker gets on the mic and says that the person he wants to see as the new GM of Phoenix is…RUTH HEARTLESS!  Yes, he wants his own manager to run the show.  This brings out Max and the owners Mr. B and Mr. M.  They state that the only way Ruth can be GM is if she no longer manages the Banker.  After some hemming and hawing, he reluctantly agrees.  Ruth tells Master Bull to show up in Phoenix on Wednesday and she’ll tell him what is in store.  Master Bull plays the last card – he stated that his final unreversable act is that the Banker will hav eto defend the World title in Phoenix.  He says that the Banker will be meeting Davis Hoffmeister.  The show comes to an end with the Banker having a fit in the ring.

It looks like things are about to get crazy so stay tuned.
