HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #758 – Phoenix Heat (03/27)

Hello fans and welcome back to another episode of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  GM Master Bull comes out as pyro goes off and once complete, he thanks the crowd for attending.  He states that the fans will be in for a surprise tonight with the Tag Team Champions Scooter J and TNT appearing live to defend the titles.  The fans pop.  Bull says that the Hall of Fame class of 2019 is now complete.  Bull states that he will be inducting Sonic Blade as well as Reid Rothchild and Ravishing Raquel.  Bull reminds the fans and the wrestlers backstage that he doesn’t take any bulls*it from anyone and has confident that the road to Critical Mass will be one hell of a ride and thinks the fans will be pretty damn pleased with how it’s all going to play out.  Bull leaves.  Pyro goes off again and our show is ready to begin.

The first match begins with Missy Chick making her way out to a small pop from the crowd.  Next, Sarona Reiher makes her way out to booing from the crowd.  She flips them off which only irks them all the more.  She gets into the ring and continues taunting the fans before unloading on Missy.  Missy battled back and for a solid 12 minutes, both women were about even with neither taking the lead in the match.  After a trip to the outside of the ring, Sarona introduced Missy the hard way to the steel steps.  After that, she took control and even though she went for the pin a few times, Missy kept kicking out. As we entered the final minute of the match, Sarona began showboating but then Missy locked her up in a guillotine choke.  There was a race to see what would happen first…Sarona tapping out or the time limit expiring.  Just when it looked like Sarona was going to give in first, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish seconds before the tap out came.  The match ends in a time limit draw and Missy is disappointed but the fans give her a nice pop and she leaves with some satisfaction.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, the Steel Curtain (Starbuck and Buzz Steel) are watching the TV show Gotham when 5th Column members Baron von Blood and Karl Braun interrupt them.  Baron calls American TV trash and begins to bash all shows that are related to comics but then adds in ‘Big Bang Theory’.  Buzz stands up and says “That’s enough.  I draw the line.  Arrow, Flash, Legends…all great shows but don’t you DARE insult BBT.”  Karl asks him if his feeling are hurt.  Buzz says he’d be open to showing them what a hurt looks and feels like.  Karl accepts a match for later tonight.  After the Column leaves, Starbuck asks “I thought you didn’t like BBT.”  Buzz replies “I don’t but what better way to get ourselves a match tonight and throw down an ass whuppin.”  Starbuck laughs and says “Word.”

The next match is ready to go.  First, the Ambassador comes out and then introduces Rowdy Roderick Rothchild.  The fans boo as the duo make their way down to the ring.  Roderick struts around the ring but the fans then pop as Biceps Bannerman makes his way out.  Biceps high fives the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.  The Ambassador whispers something to Roderick before leaving the ring.  The bell rings (the Ambassador rang it before Biceps was ready) and Roderick took the early advantage.  Roderick kept in control for the majority of the match but a close call was averted when the Ambassador got Roderick’s foot on the bottom rope following a huge powerslam.  Biceps wasn’t happy with the Ambassador’s interference and threatened him.  Roderick distracted the ref and the Ambassador hit Biceps over the head with his cane breaking it.  Biceps fell to the ring.  Roderick rushed over and made the cover.  The ref didn’t see the mysterious blood on Bicep’s head and counted to 3.  Roderick gets the cheap win and continues his winning streak.  Roderick gets on the mic and tells the Banker or whomever will be the champion that he is coming for the World Title and once again, the world will relish in seeing a Rothchild as World Champion.   He and the Ambassador then leave.  (14 min)

Wilber Townsend is backstage cutting a promo.  “The world does not have a voice of its own. It can't tell you what it wants, what it needs. But it's yearning for something to point it in the right direction. A savior, perhaps. Save us, Leon Teremoto! You must forgive me. Where have my manners gone. I don't think I've had a chance to formerly introduce myself. You may call me Wilber Townsend. But I have a thousand faces and a million names. Seducer, accuser, destroyer. I am the color red in a world full of black and white, and if you value your ability to breathe, don't get too close. Save us, Leon. Save yourself.”

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Bob ‘Powder’ Keg makes his way out to the ring.  He gets a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, his opponent Talon McFrost comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  I guess the fans are not sure who to cheer for and who to boo.  Talon enters the ring and is immediately attacked by Bob so that helps to set the tone.  Keg was explosive in this match and he totally controlled the pace of the entire match.  Although both men went for the pin numerous times, neither was able to secure that elusive 3 count.  Just as the match was nearing the time limit, Bob hit a huge powerslam off the ropes.  He however took his time in making the cover so that he could jawjack with the fans.  By the time he made the cover, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish.  Bob wasn’t happy and had words with the ref.  Bob then slugged the ref but Talon was right there and dropped Bob with the Cold Stone.  Bob rolled out of the ring cursing Talon as he backed up the ramp.  Talon checked on the ref who seemed to be ok and then the two headed to the back.  (20 min draw)

Niven and Tobias Snake are backstage and they say that they are getting their shot at glory tonight when they get their shot at the tag team titles.  They are interrupted by Baron von Blood and Karl Braun (I guess these two are just trying to cause trouble).  Baron says he can’t understand how these two nobodies rank higher than the Column.  Tobias tells him it’s because one team sucks and it’s definitely not the Pit.

We go back to the ring and the lights dim.  A single lantern lights the way as Wilber Townsend makes his way out.  “Beware the buzzards” he croaks as he makes his way into the ring.  The lights comes up as he extinguishes the lantern.  The music changes and out comes Leon Teremoto.  Leon stops on the stage and with mic in hand, he says that he is not yet cleared to wrestle but he has a friend who has no problem stepping into the ring with Wilber.  We hear a familiar chime of a bell and out comes ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone.  Magnum stops and shakes hands with Leon and offers him an ice cream sandwich.  Magnum hands out a couple more treats and then gets in the ring.  Magnum stands tall imposing his size over the crazy Wilber Townsend.  The bell rings and this one is off to the races.  Magnum had control of the match until Roderick Rothchild made his way out.  He went to sit at commentary and just stared daggers at Magnum.  Wilber took advantage of the distraction and attacked.  After a few minutes, Magnum began to battle back dropping Wilber with the Push Pop.  Roderick then stood up and made his way to the ring.  Magnum stopped and began questioning why Roderick was out here.  Wilber attacked once again hitting the Go To Sleep.  He made the cover and Magnum got his foot on the bottom rope but Roderick knocked it off before the ref could see it.  The ref counted to 3 (none the wiser) and awarded the match to Wilber.  Wilber sat in the ring and began to laugh.  He then rolled out of the ring and made his way to the back.  Roderick rolled in to the ring and picked up Magnum.  He motioned he was going for the stunner but then Magnum bounced back like a major force and began peppering Roderick with lefts and rights.  He threw Roderick into the ropes but Roderick held on and then escaped from the ring before Magnum could do any more damage.  Roderick jawjacked with Magnum as he made his way to the back.  Magnum interacted with the fans before he too left.  (12 min)

The Jacks (Mean Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson) are backstage and they promise that before the show ends, they will be getting a title shot.

Back at the ring, we are getting ready for tag team action.  First, 5th Column members Karl Braun and Baron von Blood make their way out to booing from the crowd.  The get in the ring and continue to antagonize the fans.  Then the music changed and out comes the Steel Curtain.  Buzz and Starbuck Steel are in the house and the fans blow the roof off.  Buzz and Starbuck make their way down to the ring.  They get in and begin to get the crowd psyched up.  They keep a wary eye out for the troublemakers.  The bell rings and the match officially begins.  For 5 minutes, the Column used cheating tactics to stay toe to toe with the Curtain but then eventually the experience the Curtain has kicked in and they totally dominated the 5th Column.  As the match wore on, Karl has just got done choking Starbuck on the ropes and he turned to Buzz and said “How do you like them apples?” and as soon as he turned around, Starbuck was standing there.  Karl tried to beg him off but Starbuck extended his hand.  Karl looked at the fans and then back at Starbuck.  He began to extend his own hand and Starbuck instead poked him in the eye.  He then rolled Karl up and got the 3 count.  The Steel Curtain get the win.  Baron hit the ring but Starbuck and Buzz bailed laughing.  The fans laughed along with them.  Eventually the 5th Column left. (15 min)

Tag Team Champions Scooter J and TNT are backstage and they laugh at what just transpired.  TNT says that the Steel Curtain are quickly moving up the ranks and perhaps sooner rather than later, they will have to meet them.  Scooter J says they will worry about that when the time comes but for now, they have 2 members from the Snake Pit tonight.  SJ credits the Pit for being “street tough” but they are not as ring savvy as they are.  TNT then adds that the Jacks have something up their sleeves and Scooter J says they will deal with them.

It is time for the main event.  First, Niven and Tobias Snake come out to a decent pop from the crowd.  The music changed after the Pit was in the ring and the World Tag Team Champions Scooter J and TNT make their way out.  The fans give them a nice reception and the champs head down to the ring.  They climb in and scale the corner turnbuckles holding their titles high.  The fans continue to pop.  They then hand the titles to the ref and this one is ready to go.  For the first few minutes, the champs did dominate but then the Pit got their collective heads together and really gave the champs a run for their money.  Just then, we see Angry Jack Lawson and Mean Jack Mason walking through the crowd.  They make their way to the first row and push two guys out of their seats and they sit down.  They begin throwing stuff at the champs in the ring laughing all the way.  Eventually security came over and escorted them away after the fans who got kicked from their seats complained.  Just as they were leaving, Mean Jack stooped down and picked up a pale of some liquid and threw it at Scooter J and TNT covering them with it (it looked might gross whatever it was).  The Jacks laughed and finally left.  The ref gave the two a minute to clean themselves off (I wonder why there wasn’t a DQ for the outside interference).  They got back in the ring but there were only a few minutes left and the match ended up as a time limit draw.  Scooter J and TNT take their titles and leave.  Niven and Tobias were just getting ready to leave when the 5th Column (Baron, Karl and Oswald Zimmerman) came in from the crowd and attacked them.  Things were getting dicey until Leiton Snake made his way out.   He makes his way to the ring but doesn’t get in.  The distraction though was just enough for Tobias and Niven to battle back and dump the Column out of the ring.  It takes a moment but finally Niven sees Leiton on the outside.  Tobias motions for his brother to join him in the ring.  Leiton cautiously enters.  Tobias thanks him for coming down.  Leiton and Niven then stare at each other.  After a very tense moment, Niven extends his hand.  Leiton looks to the crowd who pops.  Leiton shakes Niven’s hand and then the 3 do the fist bump in the middle of the ring.  The Snake Pit is reunited once more.  The fans pop as the 3 members stand tall in the ring and with that, the show comes to an end.

Thanks for reading.  I’m sure the Snake Pit will let us know what is transpiring soon so stay tuned.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #757 – Tacoma Thunder (03/24)

Hello fans and welcome to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder show.  After the pyro goes off, we hear the eye rolling “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and out comes the Hardcore Champion.  Apollo comes out to boos from the crowd and kicks off the show.

“Wicked Pheasant, you shouldn’t be flattered, you should be flattened.  You are a joke and unlike me, the Hardcore Champion, you should not be in a ring unless you are there to clean it.  Ring boy…that should be your name…clean my shoes…Ring Boy…take out the trash…Ring Boy…wash my wrestling gear.  You think for one second that I care who you are and what you think, you are sadly mistaken.  But you seem to want a shot at me for some unknown reason.  Tell you what, you can pick ANY person in the top 10 for my title and if you can defeat him, I will grace you with the opportunity to fight me for MY title.  Better get crackin’ Ring Boy.”  Apollo leaves to boos from the fans.

Our first match of the evening kicks off with the newest member to HCW Matches Malone making his way out to the ring.  The fans went a little quiet but Malone got them stirred up after he flicked and bounced a matchstick off the head of a little boy.  Man, did the fans take exception to that.  They remained vocal against him for the rest of his time out there except when his opponent Outback Oscar came out.  Oscar got a huge pop as they want to see Malone fizzle out.  The match begins and just as the fans had hoped, Oscar dominated the match really making Malone look like a newbie.  For 13 minutes, Oscar controlled the pace of the match and hit a full nelson face smash thinking that would take Malone out.  Malone instead rolled out of the ring and when Oscar went to grab him, he got pulled out of the ring and then Malone introduced Oscar the hard way to the steel steps.  Malone managed to roll back in just beating the 10 count and then getting the win via countout decision.  The fans were not happy but Malone soaked it in and eventually left.  Oscar was helped to the back by the ref.  He seems ok but just a little shaken up.  (13 ½ min)

Backstage, Hayley Hailstone runs into Sassy Maxine DeVito.  Hayley accuses Maxine of cheating in their first match but Maxine does the whole “who me?” shtick.  Maxine asks Hayley if she wants another match and Hayley says yes.  Maxine agrees.  Hayley walks off and Maxine begins to laugh.  We hear her say “What a noob” as the camera turns off.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, the Wicked Prophet comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.  Prophet gets on the mic and praises the new US Champion Anthony ‘Static’ Boom.  Prophet says that Boom is a great opponent however he should have been the one meeting Leon for the title.  Nonetheless, it seems that Apollo Gyze keeps getting into his head but this time, nothing will distract him from becoming the #1 contender.  Wicked Prophet then announces that he will take on Karl Braun in a challenge to get that shot he wants at Apollo.  Karl doesn’t show up but the Hardcore Champion does.  “Nope, nope, nope.  This will not do.  I can’t seem to trust you to put out a challenge to someone worthy so I will do it for you. Your opponent tonight will be this man…”  Out comes the 7’ giant Superquake Ferguson.  Wicked Prophet physically gulps at the sight of this man.   Superquake looks at Apollo with a very annoyed look on his face.  Apollo stops him before he went to the ring.  “Oh, and by the way…Ferguson, if you try to throw the match or get intentionally disqualified, you will lose any shot you may think you deserve at this title.  Good luck Pheasant.”   Apollo then left and Superquake made his way to the ring.  Both men shook hands and the bell rang.  Superquake allowed Prophet to get in a few shots before he began unloading on his own.  Ferguson then dominated the match and got near falls after hitting a chokeslam and the Cutting Edge.  Ferguson was going for another chokeslam but Prophet took them both to the floor over the top rope.  Prophet was able to get back in the ring but as soon as Ferguson was on his feet, Angry Jack appeared from the crowd and blasted Superquake twice with chair shots.  Superquake rolled back in the ring.  He tried to get to his feet but the chair shots were too much and he fell to his knee.  Prophet then locked him up in the Crucifix Clutch and stretched until Ferguson decided he’d had enough and tapped out.  The Wicked Prophet gets the win.  The ref raises his arm but he is blindsided by Apollo who came in from the crowd.  Apollo beats him down but then yells at the ref that he will NOT apologize.  Apollo then stormed off.  Prophet made it to his feet and to the back under his own power.  (10 min)

Karl Braun is back in GM Max McGillicutty’s office bitching about the fact he flew here from Phoenix only to be put on the sideline.  The Axe walks by and says that if Karl is looking for an opponent, he’ll take him on.  Max makes the match official and Karl is not happy.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, Hayley Hailstone makes her way out to a nice pop from the crowd.  She is all business as she waits for her opponent Sassy Maxine DeVito to make her way out.  Maxine comes sauntering out and the fans boo her.  She doesn’t care.  She makes her way down to the ring and immediately calls for the match to begin.  The two ladies slugged it out for an astonishing 25 minutes.   During the first minute of the match, Maxine went for the quick win by grabbing tights but the ref caught her.  After that, the action was fast paced.  Hayley connected with a tornado DDT at the 10 minute mark but Maxine kicked out at 2.  No pin or submission was attempted again until towards the end of the match.  Maxine did try to get Hayley counted out after hurling her over the top rope buy Hayley made it back in by the count of 6.   At the 25 minute mark, Hayley takes Maxine down with a roundhouse kick.  She then called for the What the Hail and connected.  She made the cover and got the 3 count.  Hayley Hailstone gets the win and once again sets her sights on the Ladies Championship.  (25 min)

We go back to GM Max McGillicutty’s office and this time, the Singapore Sensation Matt Preacher is there with Vanilla Zombie.  Preacher demands that Vanilla get a match as she’s been left to the sidelines ever since that travesty of a match against Ruby Rose.  He demands she get a match tonight.  Max says that he will oblige and tells the two of them to start making their way to the ring as they will be up very soon.

We head to the ring for our next match.  Karl Braun makes his way out first to booing from the crowd.  Braun flips the fans off as he makes his way to the ring amidst the hostile Tacoma crowd.  He gets in the ring and continues to piss the fans off until the music changes and out comes the Axe.  Axe gets a loud pop from the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.  Karl immediately attacks him as he enters the ring and this one is stared before the Axe was ready.  The cheap attack before the bell gave Karl the upper hand but just barely.  The longer the match went on, the angrier Axe became and really started to open a can of whoop-ass on Karl.  Just when the Axe was getting ready to hit the Axe on Karl, music interrupted and it was Nix Anderson.  People were confused as to why he’s coming down.  Karl immediately distracted the ref while Axe and Nix had words.  Nix then smashed Axe with his ukulele disintegrating it.   Nix immediately stepped back and watched as Karl hit the Gestapo Drop (reverse neckbreaker) on Axe.  He made the cover and got the 3 count.  Karl left the ring after he got his hand raised.  He looked at Nix as he walked by but kept going.  Nix watched from the outside and after seeing Axe get to his feet, he turned and walked to the back.  Axe was able to shake off the cobwebs and make it to the back on his own.  (15 min)

Backstage, Violet Valkyrie confronts Ladies Champion Ruby Rose.  Violet accuses Ruby of costing her the handicap match.  Ruby acts like she has no idea what Violet is talking about.  Violet says she will get another shot at the title and then storms off.  Ruby looks after her and says “Good luck with that”.

We are back in the ring and as the next match is ready to begin, Tempest Fortune comes out first to a nice pop from the crowd.  She begins to get the crowd psyched up but is interrupted by ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher and Vanilla Zombie.  Vanilla rushes down to the ring and slides under the bottom rope.  She begins to look quizzically at Tempest.  She just stands there tilting her head from side to side.   Her facepaint is looking pretty eerie so she is doing her best to get into Tempest’s head.  The match began and it seemed like the mind games were working.  It also didn’t help that Preacher got involved a few times in the match.  After getting slapped in the face by Preacher, Tempest hit the R-MAC Attack on Vanilla but only got a one count.   Preacher then bludgeoned Tempest for a foreign object.  Vanilla went for the quick cover but Tempest kicked out at 2.  13 minutes in, Tempest hits a DDT and goes for a pin but Vanilla gets her foot on the bottom rope at the last second to stop the count.   Preacher then slapped Tempest again and Vanilla tried to roll her up for a pin but Tempest kicked out.  Tempest rolled out of the ring and began chasing Preacher around the ring.  She eventually gave up and got back in the ring.  She locked Vanilla up with a Power Full Nelson but Vanilla powered out of it and hit a Zombie Strike.  She didn’t make the cover as Preacher was telling her to do it a second time.  She hit a second Zombie Strike and then made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Vanilla Zombie gets the win and Preacher joins her in the ring and holds her arm high in victory.  The two eventually leave.  (16 min)

Backstage, TNT walks in from outside safe and sound.  He meets up with Scooter J and tells him that the Jacks need to be stopped.  He thinks that maybe getting them in a match at the PPV is just what the doctor ordered.  Scooter J doesn’t think they deserve it but says he’s willing to talk more about it.

It’s time for our main event.  Tonight, the 6 Man titles are on the line when the champions the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman take on the Huber Clan.  The Hubers make it out first to booing from the fans.  The champs come out next and the fans blow the roof off the place.   Each of the champs climbs one of the turnbuckles and holds their championship high.   The celebration is cut short when Tommy Lightning and the Smashers come out.  Tommy has a mic and blasts the Curtain for taking the easy way out and choosing a team of schmucks like the Hubers to defend against.  Tommy warns the Curtain that he knows how they work and at any time, those belts can find a new home.  Buzz gets on the mic interrupting Tommy and begins making fun of him which the fans all joined in on.  Tommy threw down the mic and he and the Smashers stormed to the back.  The match begins with Junior scoop slamming Buzz but Buzz hits the Buzzkill and goes for a pin but Junior powers out.   Starbuck is tagged in and immediately tags in Biceps for some double teaming on Junior. Biceps drops him with a clothesline and Starbuck hits the Shooting Star Buck.   Junior gets to his feet and tries to scoop slam Starbuck but he reverses it and hits the hangman’s DDT.  He goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count.  Buzz gets tagged back in.  Junior throws Buzz over the top rope but he holds on and then comes back in and hits the Buzzkill.  Buzz gets a 1 count and then tags in Biceps.  Biceps and Junior slug it out until the Curtain joins Biceps for a triple team.  They’ve totally worn Junior down and they refuse to let him tag out.  Biceps hits a full nelson lift and slam and then makes the cover to get the 3 count.  The champs retain their belts but their celebration is short lived as the other two members of the Huber Clan attack them after the bell and they are joined by Tommy Lightning and the Smashers.  The numbers proved to be too great and the champs eventually fell under the barrage from their opponents.   Tommy then hands Ferb Huber a wad of cash and the Hubers leave.  Tommy and the Smashers stand over the champs holding their titles.  The fans booed as the show came to an end.

Thanks for reading.  The action continues and there will be payback for sure so stay tuned.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #756 – Phoenix Heat (03/20)

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  Pyro goes off and GM Master Bull makes his way out to a pop from the crowd.  Bull recaps this year’s honorees for the Hall of Fame:  The Unknown Assassin and his manager ‘the Honorable’ JC Dykes, the Elitist Reid Rothchild, Ravishing Raquel and the Mexicali Flyers.  Bull says that there is one final entrant for the hall of fame and is proud to announce that Sonic Blade is the final honoree for this year’s hall of fame.  The fans applaud as a video plays showcasing all of Sonic’s accomplishments.  After the conclusion, Bull goes on to talk about the 2 on 1 handicap match Violet Valkyrie gets to go through tonight if she wants one more shot against Ladies Champion Ruby Rose.  He is then interrupted when Mean Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson come out.  Mean Jack walks over to Bull and snatches the mic out of his hand.  Mean Jack begins to speak:

Mean Jack:  “So, it’s pretty appropriate that the next PPV is being called Critical mass.  Quite frankly, I think me and my angry friend here are about to reach just that.  Scooter J, TNT, we have big plans for you.  You will give us a title match and I have just the idea to…motivate you.”  Bull takes the mic back and lambasts them for interrupting him and says that they are in a tag team match right now and if they lose, they can kiss any shot at the tag titles goodbye.  Bull sends them to the ring.  Our first match is ready to get underway.

Mean Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson make their way into the ring and the fans boo them the entire way.  They steal some fan’s signs promoting the World Tag Team Champs Scooter J and TNT and they proceed to tear them to shreds.  They get into the ring and mock the fans from the ring until the music changes and out comes two members of the Muscles Trio – Muscles Weasley and McGuire.  The Muscles come out wearing their rainbow colored bull horns and have their boxes of Booty O’s cereal.  They goof off and make their way down to the ring.  The Jacks attack them right away and the match begins almost immediately.  Both teams took control of the match at different times.  As we approached the 20th minute in the match, Muscles Weasley hit Mean Jack with a front dropkick but Mason hit him with a powerbomb.  He went for the quick pin but Weasley kicked right out.  Angry Jack rushes in but eats a tornado DDT.  Mean Jack hits Weasley with the Psychotic Break.  He goes for the pin and with a handful of tights, he gets the 1-2-3.  The Jacks get the win and continue to move up in the rankings.  The fans boo as they make their way to the back.  (21 min)

Backstage, Scooter J is working on his notebook computer and says that something is wrong with his computer and determines that his email has been hacked.  He knows this is all on the Jacks and slams his hands on the desk in frustration.

It’s time for the next match.  Ringing over the loudspeakers, we hear “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE” and out comes Dr. Red Fang.  Fang growls and snarls as he makes his way down to the ring.  He crawls under the ropes and then begins to spit at the fans.  It looks like we are in for a treat tonight as we have visiting from the PNW, former World champion Texas Wildfire.  He comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  It seems we have a cross-promotion match taking place tonight.  TW barely makes it into the ring before he is attacked by Fang.  Fang locks in an armbar and Wildfire hits a snap powerslam before Fang hits a reverse suplex.  Wildfire hits a superplex but Fang is back on his feet and connects with a flying elbow ram.  TW hits another snap powerslam.  Fang goes for a reverse suplex but TW hits the Hangman’s Clothesline.  He goes for a pin but Fang kicks out at 2.  Wildfire motions for Fang to get to his feet and as soon as he does, he hits another Hangman’s Clothesline.  He goes for the cover and this time is able to get the 3 count.  The applause from the fans practically blows the roof off the joint.  TW celebrates with the fans and then departs.  (6 min)

Scooter J is getting ready for his singles match but his tag team partner TNT is nowhere to be found.  He shrugs it off and heads toward the ring.

The fans pop as Scooter J, one half of the tag team champions, comes out for his match.  He gets into the ring and climbs one of the turnbuckles to a nice pop from the crowd.  His music abruptly changes when his opponent, the all-too-creepy Wilber Townsend (and TNT’s uncle) makes his way out.  Wilber says that Scooter J has confused his nephew into thinking they are at the top of the chain when in fact, they are no different than what Mickey told Rocky in that “one movie” about Rocky only getting lightweights challenging for his title.  Wilber warns that if Scooter J decides to go after the Jacks, he will be bringing a world of hurt down on himself and his nephew.  Wilber begins to cackle and then goes at SJ as soon as the bell rings.   Wilber gets the upper hand early with a cheap shot and then tosses SJ out of the ring.  As Scooter J is shaking off the cobwebs, he is blindsided by Mean Jack Mason (Wilber is distracting the ref).  Mean Jack throws SJ hard into the steel post before rolling him back into the ring.  That pretty much ended any offense that SJ would have had and it allowed Wilber to dominate for 14 minutes before hitting some mounted elbow smashes followed by the Go to Sleep.  Wilber makes the cover and gets the uncontested 3 count.  Wilber stands and laughs and leaves as the fans boo.  Scooter J is surprisingly back on his feet and is able to make it to the back on his own.  (14 min)

Violet Valkyrie is backstage and she’s talking about the handicap match she has tonight.  She promises that she will be victorious and once she is, she wants Ruby again and this time at the PPV.

We head to the ring for a tag team match.  First, Travis and Terra Ryzing come out to booing from the crowd.  The fans’ attitude changes when 2/3’s of the 6 Man Champions – The Steel Curtain – make their way out.  The fans pop just as loud as they did for Texas Wildfire.  The Curtain makes their way to the ring and Buzz and Starbuck keep an eye out for any shenanigans that the Ryzing Storm may throw their way.  They are able to get the crowd psyched up for this match and as soon as their jackets came off, this one was now underway.  Because of some double teaming early on, the Curtain was at a disadvantage for 23 minutes.  After that, the Curtain took over and began dishing out what was given to them.  The Curtain kept up the intensity but when the bell rang signaling that they reached a 30 min time limit, they along with the fans were disappointed that there was no clear cut winner.  The Ryzing Storm did leave in a hurry as they did not want to be on the receiving end of anything else.  Starbuck and Buzz stayed and celebrated with the fans briefly before heading to the back. (30 min time limit)

Scooter J is walking backstage looking for TNT and he walks out to the parking garage and catches Angry Jack and Mean Jack shoving TNT into the trunk of their car.  Scooter J yells and begins to chase them but they hop into the car and drive off like a bat out of hell.  Scooter J picks up a brick and chunks it after the speeding car but it falls short and clatters on the ground.

We cut to another area and walking in is TV Champion Davis Hoffmeister.  Davis heads to his dressing room to get ready for his title defense tonight.

As we head back to the ring, we are getting ready for our 2 on 1 handicap match.  First, the Cummings twins Betsy and Felicia make their way out to booing from the fans.  They mock the fans and then laugh before rolling into the ring.  The music changes almost immediately as the stage fills with fog, Violet Valkyrie burst through and rushes down to the ring.  She stops short of entering as it looked like Betsy and Felicia were going to attack her.  She takes her time and then enters the ring.  The ref sends Felicia out of the ring and now this one can begin.  As expected, it was an uphill battle but Violet did hold her own against the double teaming from the twins.  About 10 minutes into the match, Ladies Champion Ruby Rose came out and went to sit at ringside.  Violet was starting to get some serious momentum going and then leapt to the top turnbuckle.  The Twins went to try and knock Violet off her perch but then the champ got up and took a swing at Felicia but missed and hit Violet knocking her from the top rope.  Violet crashed hard on the mat.  Ruby was pissed.  Betsy tagged in and locked in a rolling leglock.  She grabbed the ropes for leverage as Ruby tried to cheer Violet on but the twin was dastardly and was able to get a 3 count.  The twins were victorious in the handicap match but before they could attack Violet, Ruby rushed into the ring chasing them off.  Ruby took a mic and said that she was disappointed that Violet couldn’t hold off two mid-carders and said she (just now) reconsidered and now she doesn’t feel Violet is deserving of anything more.  The fans began to boo her but she dropped the mic and walked away.  Violet was in shock but left without interacting with the fans any further.  (13 min)

Music hits and the new US champion Anthony Boom is in the house.  Boom make his way down to the ring as the fans pop for him.  He gives major kudos to former champion Leon Teremoto who put up a great fight.  Leon then comes out and says that his leg is hurt from the Figure four he tapped out to but says he is due a rematch.  Anthony looks to the crowd and asks if the rematch should be the first match announced for next month’s PPV – Critical Mass and the fans pop huge.  GM Master Bull comes out and makes it official.  Boom shakes hands with Leon and the two leave with Master Bull in tow.

It’s now time for our main event.  First, tonight’s challenger is Muscles Thorpe.  He comes out with his other Muscles compatriots and they collectively make their way down to the ring.  The three doing their goofy shtick and then Weasley and McGuire leave.  As they are heading up the ramp, TV Champion Davis Hoffmeister makes his way out to a huge pop from the crowd.  Davis stopped and shook hands with the Muscles and then made his way down to the ring.  He gets in and climbs the turnbuckle holding his title high.  He jumps down and hands the title to the ref and the match is ready to begin.  Right off the bat, Davis locks Thorpe in the Hollywood (camel) clutch but Thorpe won’t quit.  Davis was able to dominate the match from that point on almost scoring a near fall after hitting a roundhouse kick.   We join the match at the 11 minute mark.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #755 – Tacoma Thunder (03/17)

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  You may have noticed that there were no shows posted last week.  The break was actually supposed to come at the end of March but it seems that something came up both GM’s Master Bull and Max McGillicutty that they opted to take that break at that time as opposed to waiting.

Pyro goes off kicking off today’s show.  GM Max McGillicutty makes his way out and thanks the fans for understanding about taking the prior week off.  He says he has two pieces of news today.  One, we will see the debut of a new wrestler (Max discovered him while he was out last week) and the announcement of new honorees for the 2019 Hall of Fame.  Max says that both will come later in the show.  He signs off so that today’s show can begin.

Pyro goes off once again and tonight’s show is ready to begin.  Coming out first is Maximillian Redbeard and he gets a nice pop from the crowd.  He stopped and laughed when he saw a fan’s sign that read “Redbeard eats (Apple) Jacks for breakfast”.  He gave the fan a high five and got into the ring.  His music was abruptly cut off when we hear “Money, money, money, moneeeeeeey” and ‘Big Money’ Ned Rhyerson III makes his way out.  He is booed pretty heavily and he shows his appreciation to the fans by flipping them off.   He gets in the ring and goes nose to nose with Redbeard and then shoves Maximillian.  Ned then bolts out of the ring while Redbeard stews.  Eventually, Ned gets back in the ring and Maximillian is on him like wolves going after raw meat.  Ned nullified a few of Redbeard’s moves early on but Maximillian finally opened up a can of whoop-ass and totally destroyed Ned.  Maximillian was dishing out the punishment until Ned hit him with a low blow.  Ned then called for and locked in the Billion Dollar Dream but released it seconds later when King Lucas Johnston came out.  Ned began yelling at him taking his eyes off of Maximillian.  Redbeard got up and whipped Ned into the ropes and hit a devastating powerslam.  Redbeard went for the pin and got the 1-2-3.  Maximillian gets the win much to the fan’s delight.  King Lucas smiled as he turned and left.  Maximillian celebrated with the fans briefly before leaving.  Ned finally got to his feet and began complaining about King Lucas but the ref just walked away.  (16 min)

Backstage, Clarkus Kentus welcomes the newest addition to HCW…Matches Malone.  Malone walks over and begins flicking matchsticks at both Clarkus and the camera.  Malone says he’s here, not to win titles but to make as many people’s lives as miserable as he can.  He begins his quest tonight.  He pie faces Clarkus and then walks off.  Man, what a jerk.

We head back to the ring for the next match.  First, Billy Robbins makes his way out to a nice pop from the crowd.  He gets into the ring and begins to psyche up the fans but the music changes and out comes Matches Malone.  Up on the Omegatron, we see Malone lighting matchsticks with a scratch from his fingernail.  As he makes his way to the ring, he begins to saunter but then begins flicking matchsticks at the fans who tried to cheer him.  This got him the booing he apparently wanted.  He gets in the ring and immediately goes after Billy. Malone hit a chokeslam 2 minutes in and went for the pin but he pulled Billy up at the last second.  This went on throughout the match.  Finally, when it seemed he’d had enough, Matches hit Billy with another chokeslam and this time he didn’t pull Billy up and he got the 3 count.  Matches Malone is victorious in his debut match.  He begins flicking matchsticks at the ref, at the fans and finally, standing over Billy, he flicks them at him.  The fans boo as Matches makes his way to the back.  The ref helped Billy up and took him to the back.  (12 min)

We go backstage and we see the Wicked Prophet.  He is approached by Travis ‘Dark Storm’ Ryzing.  Ryzing says that he is challenging the Prophet to a match tonight and he wants WP’s spot in the US title line up.  Prophet says he is not one to back down and accepts.  Ryzing says accepting the challenge is a mistake that will cost him.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  This is a spot challenge match.  First, Travis ‘Dark Storm’ Ryzing makes his way out to booing from the crowd.  He gets in the ring and showboats.  Next, the music hits and out comes the Wicked Prophet.  The fans pop pretty loud for him as he makes his way down to the ring.  Ryzing wants Prophet’s spot in the top 10 line up and will do what he feels he must to get it.  The match begins but 16 minutes in, the ref gets bumped and goes down.  Prophet goes to check on the ref and we see Ryzing motioning to someone from the back.  Out comes…wait a minute….It’s Apollo Gyze dressed in a ref shirt.   Apollo gets in the ring and begins jawjacking with Prophet.  This allows Travis to roll out of the ring and get a chair.  He then sneaks back on and blasts WP with the chair.  Apollo turned his face so he could say he didn’t see it.  Travis then locked the Wicked Prophet up with a Power Full Nelson.  Prophet was getting ready to power out of it but Apollo called for the bell saying that WP has submitted.  HIGHWAY ROBBERY.  Apollo raises Travis’s hand and then says he moves up in the rankings and that wannabe on the mat drops.  He and Travis leave as the fans boo. (18 min)

The Omegatron begins to flash and it lights up with “The next member of the 2019 Hall of Fame…” and we see…The Unknown Assassin and his weasel of a manager ‘the Honorable’ JC Dykes.  The fans are mixed in their reaction as some fans appreciate what UA and his manager did but those other ‘marks’ booed as they felt it was undeserved.  (It’s real to me, dammit)(For those who don’t get the reference, watch the youtube video for reference:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKECiyIsq3I)

Hayley Hailstone makes her way out to a nice pop from the crowd.  Hayley asks for a mic and says that Violet got her shot but now it is her time.  She immediately issues a challenge to Ladies Champion Ruby Rose.  Ruby is not in the house so there is no response at this time.  Hayley is then interrupted by ‘Sassy’ Maxine DeVito.  Maxine says that Hayley is not deserving and if she wants a shot at the belt, she needs to go through her first.  It looks like we have ourselves an impromptu match.  Hayley goes to remove her jacket but is pulled out of the ring by Maxine, she then bounces Hayley’s head off the steel steps before rolling her back in.  The bell is rung and after a quick pin attempt, Maxine locks Hayley up with a bodyscissors dragon sleeper.  Maxine kept the pressure on and Hayley faded fast.  The ref raised and watched Hayley’s arm drop 3 times.  The ref then called the match declaring Maxine the winner by submission.  Maxine DeVito gets the win and does it in 2 minutes.  She climbs the turnbuckle and yells “I did it” over and over and the fans boo her until she disappeared behind the curtain.  The ref helped Hayley to the back.  (2 min)

Backstage, Mean Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson are still chowing down on some BBQ.

Mean Jack: Oh Master Bull, instead of playing Sherlock Holmes, trying to figure out who's trying to kill you, you should worry about the Jacks. You should worry about what we'll do if we don't receive our title shot immediately.

Scooter J, TNT, thanks for the BBQ food. It was actually pretty tasty. Wouldn't you say, my Angry friend?  (Lawson nods)

And Maximilian Redbeard, apparently you wanna join the Mexicali Flyers. Me and my Angry friend...are more than willing to oblige you.  Go find your Superquake friend and we’ll end you like we did the Flyers.  Jack, we have a match to go to.

The men stood up and began making their way to the ring.

Our next match is tag team action.  First, the Regulators – Mule and Mammoth – make their way out to a small pop from the crowd.  Once in the ring, the music changes and out comes Angry Jack Lawson and Mean Jack Mason.  They powerwalk to the ring, get in and immediately go after the Regulators.  It only takes them about 5 minutes to dominate the Regulators.  Angry Jack ends up securing the win after he stood on Mammoth’s throat and made the pin.  Mean Jack gets on the mic and calls out Scooter J and TNT saying they want their title shot.  Angry Jack asks if they should kidnap SJ and TNT’s significant others to make a point.  Mean Jack says no, that is very cliché and that he has other plans.  He whispers something into Angra Jack’s ear and he begins to laugh.  The two men then leave the ring.  I wonder what they are up to.  (5 min)

We go backstage and we are with Nix Anderson.  Nix says that the championship committee has finally gotten around to giving him the World title shot he so rightfully deserves.  Nix says that tonight, he becomes a champion again but this time, he will be on top of the world.

World Champion the Banker is backstage with Ruth Heartless.  The Banker states that Nix is a stepping stone.  He says that there is no one really worth his time…not Starbuck Steel, not the Ragin Cajun…no one.  Tonight, he will make an example out of Nix and he will go back to his hotel with his championship intact.

It is time for our main event.  First, Nix Anderson makes his way out strumming on his ukulele.  He gets a decent pop from the crowd.   A few moments later, the music changes and out comes the World Champion the Banker and his manager Ruth Heartless.  The duo are booed as they make their way down to the ring.  Ruth enters first and holds the ropes for the champ.  He gets in and removes his title holding it high.   He then turns and BLASTS Nix in the head with it.   This all happened before the bell so he can’t be disqualified.  Nix was out on his feet.  The Banker hits the Repossession Rib Buster and tries for a quick pin but Nix kicks out.   The Banker hits the ropes going for a flying bodypress but Nix ducks.  Nix tries to sing for his opponent but then Ruth gets on the apron and distracts Nix.  The Banker tried to take Nix to the corner but it was nullified.   Nix maneuvered the Banker into the corner and went for a shoulder smash but The Banker moved and Nix hit the ringpost.  The Banker then locked in the ATM Fee armbar and Nix had no choice but to tap out.   The Banker gets the win via submission and retains his title.  (5 min).  He doesn’t stick around and leaves with Ruth.  Nix and the ref followed moments later.

Just as the show was coming to an end, the Ladies Champion Ruby Rose comes out.  She remains on the stage and has a mic in hand.  She talks about how she’s defeated the greatest Ladies champion in Ravishing Raquel and then dispatched her #1 contender Violet Valkyrie.  She comments on Hayley’s challenge saying that if she could not defeat Maxine, why would she give her the time of day?  Violet Valkyrie comes out and says that she was close to winning the title and had she had 30 minutes, the belt would be around her waist.  Ruby says “Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades”.  Violet tells Ruby to give her another match.  Ruby says she will but only if Violet can win a 2 on one handicap match in Phoenix in 3 days.  Violet agrees.

That is all for today’s show.  Be sure to stay tuned as things are really heating up on our road to Critical Mass.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #754 – Phoenix Heat (03/06)

Hello fans and welcome back to another episode of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.   The show begins with GM Master Bull making his way out.  He says that he has an announcement to make and that is he is proud to announce two more members entering the 2019 Hall of Fame and then points to the Omegatron and we see:  ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild and his wife Ravishing Raquel.  Bull says that he will be introducing them at the hall of fame ceremony but wants to make it clear that they are not going in as Elitism but on their own.  Both have contributed hugely to HCW and its predecessors the HWF and CSWA.  Bull reminds us that Raquel dominated the ring for a few years earning the title “Performer of the year” holding a combination of the Women and Diva’s titles as well as defeating her husband to lay claim to the (was the last) Elitist Championship.  The fans pop with the announcement and Bull then leaves to kick off the show.

Pyro goes off and our first match is ready to go.  First, 1/3 of the 6 Man Tag Champs comes out and it’s Biceps Bannerman.  He gets a good pop from the crowd.  He gets into the ring and begins stretching his massive arms.  The music changes and out comes Snake Pit member Tobias Snake.  He gets a small pop from the crowd but tonight’s fan base is solidly behind Biceps.  The bell rings and Tobias gets the upper hand early but it doesn’t take much time for Biceps to get control of the match.  6 minutes in, Biceps hits a full nelson lift and slam and it seems that Tobias’ back may have gotten tweaked.  Working through the discomfort, he hit the ropes and connected with a running crossbody but Biceps caught him and turned it into the Biceps Crunch (bearhug).  Tobias, not wanting to injure his back any more than had been done taps out.  Biceps drops him to the mat.  Biceps Bannerman gets the submission win in 7 minutes.  Biceps helps Tobias to his feet in a show of sportsmanship.  Tobias leaves and Biceps celebrates with the fans before leaving.

Tempest Fortune is backstage and she’s being interviewed.  She says she’s a little disappointed she didn’t get the solid win in her debut match but proved she could go the distance with anyone.  Lady Hermann walks over and looks down at he (she’s pretty damn tall) and she says that Tempest needs to call it quits now before she gets hurt.  Tempest says she’s here to wrestle and anytime her Ladyship wants a match, she’s game.  Lady Hermann pats her on the head and says “That’s cute.  If that is what you want, sure, why not.”  Lady Hermann walks away and Tempest says she needs to go get ready for her match.

We head to the ring for our next match.  First, Otto Ruthless comes out first and the fans boo him.  He yanks some of the fan’s signs out of their hands and throws them on the floor and stomps on them.  That definitely got the reaction he wanted.  He gets into the ring but he doesn’t get much time to showboat as the Red Hot King Lucas Johnston comes out and the fans pop huge.  He comes out wearing his cape and crown and shakes hands with the fans as he makes his way around the ring.  Otto yells at him to get in the ring but Lucas takes his time.  Finally, the King gets into the ring and after removing his cape and crown, the bell rings right away.  Otto got some cheap shots in early but Lucas fought back showing his is the “fighting King”.  Lucas began taking over but then there was a commotion in the crowd.  Otto “accidentally” bumped the ref allowing ‘Big Money’ Ned Rhyerson III time to hit the King with a chair.  Ned hit him in the gut once and then on the back twice.  Ned discarded the chair and took off through the crowd once the ref began to wake up.  Otto then picked up King Lucas and strapped him in the Yukon Cloverleaf.  Injured from the chair shots, Lucas had no choice but to tap out.  The ref, none the wiser, awards the match via submission to Otto.  Otto laughs and leaves the ring.  Lucas recovered and then asked for a mic.  He then called out Ned who was still hiding in the crowd calling him a coward for attacking him not only at the Scooter J/TNT BBQ but again tonight.  King Lucas says that once and for all, they need to settle this in a ring where there is no interference or any chance of someone (points to Ned) to run away.  Ned makes like he’s going to get in the ring but then backs away.  King Lucas eventually leaves. (7 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

Back in his office, Master Bull makes the announcement that tonight’s match between the Huber Clan and the Muscles Trio will be to determine the #1 contenders to the 6 man titles.  Tommy Lightning walks by calling this decision a croc of shit.  Bull tells him to watch himself.  Tommy continues calling the decision for him and his partners not getting the shot a senile move on Bull’s part.  Bull stands up and says that Tommy has a big mouth and tonight he gets someone who will shut it.  Tommy laughs and asks who it is and Bull responds with “Dr. Red Fang”. Tommy flips out and Bull smiles as he storms out.

We had back to the ring for match #3.  First, the Muscles Trio (Muscles Weasley, McGuire and Thorpe) all make their way out wearing their rainbow colored bull horns and carrying boxes of their famous cereal “Booty O’s”.  The fans get some enjoyment out of their comedic entertainment.  Things get serious though when the Huber Clan (Butch, Ferb and Junior Huber) all make their way out.  Before heading down to the ring, they are stopped on the stage by their cousin Wilber Townsend.  Wilber tells them some stuff we cannot hear and then hands them some creepy masks.  The clan puts them on and they make their way down to the ring.  The eerie masks do what they were intended for and throw the Muscles off their game.  The Hubers dominated from the sound of the bell and totally owned their opponents.  Both teams got some double and triple teaming in but the Hubers were just more dominant.  25 minutes in, Butch hits Weasley with a sitout powerbomb and is able to get the 3 count.  The Hubers shoot up the rankings and are next in line for a shot at the 6 man titles held by the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman.

Backstage, Anthony ‘Static’ Boom says that he is ready for this opportunity and thanks the championship committee and the fans for making it happen.  Anthony says that there are many stepping stones in life and this one will allow him to make a name for himself in HCW.

Music hits and out comes Tempest Fortune.  She gets a nice pop from the crowd as she makes her way down to the ring.  She’s barely in the ring before Lady Hermann’s music interrupts and out comes her Ladyship.  Lady Hermann is booed as she makes her way down to the ring.  She ignores the fans deeming them unworthy of her attention.  She walks over to Tempest and tells her that she’ll be construed as a failure if she can’t get a win under her belt.  She is doing her best to intimidate Tempest but she doesn’t allow her to get under her skin.  The bell rings and this one is off.  Lady Hermann went for something but missed and Tempest press slammed her to the mat in a very impressive show of strength.  Lady Hermann gets up rubbing the small of her back thinking she underestimated her opponent…spoiler…she did.  Tempest controlled the match and was able to keep herself evenly tempered and proved why she belongs in HCW.  The match went a surprising 21 minutes (Lady Hermann kept powering out of pin attempts) but it wasn’t until the last 30 seconds of the match and Tempest hit a diving knee drop that closed the book on this match.  Tempest makes the cover and gets her first win in HCW.  The fans pop huge for her as she climbs the turnbuckles much to the approval of the fans.  She leaves moments later.  (21 min)

Tommy Lightning is backstage bitching to anyone who would listen but his whining falls on deaf ears.  He walks around a corner and hears “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY” and it about scares the beejeebees out of him.  Tommy takes off rushing out to the ring.

Tommy Lightning makes like a bullet and rushes down to the ring followed closely by Dr. Red Fang.  Fang chases Tommy around the ring and eventually catches him and peppers him with lefts and rights and then bounces Tommy’s head off the steel steps.  He rolls Tommy into the ring and then climbs in snarling and growling.  Tommy hits a monkey flip but Fang lands on his feet and hits a Transylvania Piledriver.  He makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Dr. Red Fang gets the win in 60 seconds.  Fang then snarls some more before rushing to the back.  Tommy never knew what hit him and he groggily makes his way to the back.

We are treated to an impromptu appearance by the TV Champion Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister.  The fans pop as the TV champ makes his way down to the ring.  He gets on the mic and says that he thinks the Phoenix fans are some of the best in the world.  They pop for this.  He starts to go on about how much he enjoys wrestling in HCW but he is interrupted by Bob ‘Powder’ Keg.  Bob says that he keeps getting looked over for shots at titles and says he’s had enough.  He is demanding a title shot right here and now against Davis.  Davis says that it just so happens that he’s prepared.  He removes his tear-away suit revealing his wrestling attire underneath.  He says that Bob just needs to get in the ring and this one can begin.  Bob enters the ring and hits an exploder suplex.   Davis knocks him down and locks in the Hollywood (camel) Clutch.  It must have been so excruciatingly painful that Bob only took seconds to tap out.  Davis Hoffmeister gets the win in only 2 minutes.  The fans pop as Davis holds his title high and then leaves.  Bob rubbed his back wincing and made his way to the back.

We are back in the interview area with US Champion Leon Teremoto.  Leon says he’s been watching Boom as he made his way up the rankings and feels that he is a viable contender.  He says that the fans will be cheering them both and is sure the better man will come out of this as the champion.

It is time for our main event.  First, Anthony ‘Static’ Boom comes out and once on stage, 3 loud “BOOMs” sound through the speakers.  Boom makes his way down to the ring shaking hands with the fans.  He gets in the ring and climbs the turnbuckle as the fans pop.  Next, the champs’ music hits and out comes the US Champion Leon Teremoto.  The fans pop equally for him.  He too shakes hands with the fans and makes his way down to the ring.  Upon entering the ring, he nods at Anthony and then climbs the turnbuckle himself and holds the title high.  He steps down and then hands the title to the ref who holds it high showing that it is at stake tonight.  Leon and Anthony shake hands and the match begins.  Leon starts off with a spine buster but Anthony hits a Lou Thesz press.  Anthony then connects with a sunset flip and gets the champ off his feet but Leon is back up pretty quick.  Anthony tries for a forearm smash but it’s reversed and Leon straps on a headlock and then hits a sitout sideslam.  Leon locks in an armbar scissor lock but Anthony hits a reverse cradle but Leon powers right out.  Leon throws Anthony into the corner and hits a splash.  Anthony battles back with repeated elbow drops.  Anthony follows it up with another set of elbow drops.  Leon gets up and knocks Anthony down.  He climbs to the top turnbuckle and goes for a flying legdrop but Anthony moves and Leon hits the mat hard.  Anthony then locked in the Figure Four leglock.  Trapped in the center of the ring, Leon was not making it to the ropes.  He hung in there for a good 30 seconds but then the pain became too great and he tapped out.  Anthony ‘Static’ Boom gets the submission win and becomes the NEW US CHAMPION!!!  The fans pop huge for him as the ref hands him the title and he climbs the turnbuckles holding his new title high.   The ref helps Leon to the back allowing Anthony to celebrate with the fans.  The show comes to an end with Anthony climbing into the crowd and crowdsurfing.

Thanks for reading.  There will be more to follow so stay tuned.
