Hello fans and
welcome back to our wrestling newsletter.
The Phoenix Heat crowd is hot tonight (it hit 98 degrees there so it’s
no wonder) and we have a great card lined up for you tonight.
The show begins
back in GM Master Bull’s office. Manager
Ruth Heartless walks in and tells Bull all is right with the world as the
Banker has resurfaced. Bull asked if he
found what he was looking for (did he lose his smile?) and she replies saying
he did find the Regulators. They then
walked into Bull’s office and she introduced Regulator Mammoth and Regulator
Mule. She tells Bull she will be
managing them and he replies “Not so fast.
The GM is the only one to hire or fire so these two have to prove
themselves first before they will be given a contract.” Ruth tells Bull that they will beat any team
he puts them against. Bull says “Ok. They will have a match…right now. Go ahead and head to the ring.” Ruth and the Regulators leave.
Here is today’s
card:

Pyro goes off and
the show gets ready to begin. First, two
members of the Muscles Trio (Muscles McGuire and Muscles Weasley) come out
wearing their rainbow colored bull horns acting all goofy. They are joined by their 3rd
member Muscles Thorpe who takes them down to the ring and the fans pop for them. Thorpe leaves as his teammates do their
goofy shtick. Next, Ruth Heartless comes out with the
Regulators and the Banker and the fans boo them. The Regulators make some not-so-nice gestures
to the fans and make their way to the ring.
They immediately attack the Muscles and the match takes off. After about 3 minutes in, the Muscles began
to fight back and Ruth and to “intervene” a few times to get them back on
track. Once Ruth had the team back on
the right path, Regulator Mammoth hits a (pardon the pun) mammoth of a DDT
right in the center of the ring. He
makes the cover and gets the easy 3 count at the 20 minute mark. Ruth and the Banker enter the ring and Ruth
raises her team’s arms into the air. The
Banker then gets on the mic and tells the world that the Regulators are here in
HCW to ensure (and regulate) that all teams get their fair share of an
ass-kicking and he announces that Ruth’s new Trio will be going for the 6 Man
titles. The fans booing gets so loud that
the Banker gives up and they all leave.
With the addition
of the Regulators being added to the Phoenix roster, Bull had to send one man
to Tacoma. After factoring out all the teams,
he settled on sending Jesse California to the state of Washington and his new
home. I’m sure he’ll really be pleased
getting shuffled back and forth.
We head back to
the ring for our next match. Baron von
Blood makes his way out first and the crowd boos him pretty harshly. Next, fan favorite Sonic Blade makes his way
out and the fans pop. Baron is not happy
with the pop Sonic gets but opts not to attack him although he feigns it. It’s probably a good thing as Sonic totally
owned Reinhardt Schmidt (Blood’s real name).
Sonic would beat him down but
Blood kept his wits about him and would kick out at the last second or grab the
ropes to break the count. Once the time
limit was nearing completion, Sonic was getting a little flustered that Blood
would keep grabbing the ropes to avoid any further punishment. Sonic got fed up and threw Blood into the
ropes and dropped him with a power clothesline.
Right before he could go for the pin, Blood locked in a stomach claw but
he couldn’t capitalize on it after the bell rang bringing this one to a draw
finish. Blood took off and Sonic shook
off his frustration and visited briefly with the fans before heading to the
back. (20 min draw)
The camera cuts to
the back and we see walking in Phat Sol.
It looks like Phat is going to make his way to the ring to say his
goodbyes.
We cut back to the
ring and Otto Ruthless is already out there.
Music hits and out comes Texas Wildfire.
The fans pop HUGE for him and he acknowledges all the fans (it took him
a while to get to the ring). Otto didn’t
like being kept waiting so he rushed out of the ring and attacked TW. The action finally made its way into the
ring. Otto put up a good fight but he
was really no match for a healthy Texas Wildfire. TW controlled the tempo of the match and
after calling for the hangman clothesline, he nailed Otto with it and then
hooked the leg to get the 1.2.3. Texas
Wildfire gets the win. He asks for a
mic. He thanks the fans for backing him up
and says that he wants to get a rematch against Ice Dagger for the cheap shot
he took to take his title. TW vs Ice
Dagger will happen sooner, not later. He
left after shaking hands with the fans at ringside. (15 min)
Backstage sonic is
asked his thoughts on why he is so over with the fans. “You know, that is a great question. The fans
appreciate hard work and a good story.”
When pressed further, Sonic replied “You know, maybe it’s time to phone
a friend…in this case, my cousin Jermaine.”
Sonic is told that it’s not necessary and Sonic has a good laugh. “Actually, I don’t have a cousin named Jermaine…at
least I don’t think I do.” Sonic smiles
and walks off.
Our next match is
ready to go. Taylor Bella (minus her
manager as Figgy is no longer there) makes her way out and she is fuming. She gets in the ring and lambasts Davis
Hoffmeister for driving her manager away.
“You know, its fine actually. I
arrived in HCW on my own; won titles on my own and I’m still kicking ass. I can do this myself.” The music changes and out comes Starr
Vixen. Starr gets a good pop from the
crowd as she makes her way into the ring.
The bell rings pretty quickly starting this one off with a bang. Starr controlled the match early but after
getting her arm wrapped against the steel post, things began going Taylor’s
way. Taylor hit a sitout facebuster and
went for a sloppy cover and Starr kicked out.
Taylor kicked Starr in her bum arm and then hit another sitout
facebuster. She went for the cover this time
hooking the legs but got her feet up on the ropes for extra leverage. Taylor gets the 1-2-3 and scores a win
stealing yet another win. Taylor leaves
the ring laughing all the way to the back.
Starr gets up and tries to shake some feeling back into her arm and then
leaves and the fans stand up and applaud her.
(10 min)
“The Ragin Cajun”
King Rad Gumbo makes his official Phoenix debut. He says the heat here is godawful and then
mocks the fans. He says that he will
cash in his title shot against World Champion Buzz Steel at the Supershow and
will make Buzz his bitch!
Our second to
final match is ready to go. Missy Chick
makes her way out to the ring to an ok pop from the crowd. Next, Ravishing Raquel comes out and the fans
pop huge. Even though she is a member of
Elitism and they have turned (on the fans) but they still accept her. Raquel gets into the ring and climbs each of
the four corner turnbuckles to pops that somehow seem to get louder each
time. The match begins and Raquel owns
the first part. Missy then begins to
battle back and used some underhanded tactics that gave her an advantage. Raquel got her groove back and began to take
the match to Missy but the ref got bumped and went down. All of a sudden, Ladies Champion Candice
Charisma runs down and pulls Raquel out of the ring. She whips her into the guardrails. Candice
then threw Raquel into the ringsteps and she went crashing and tumbling over
them. Candice saw the ref beginning to
stir and threw Raquel back into the ring and ran to the back. Missy climbed to the top turnbuckle poised to
attack. The ref got up and Raquel made
it to her feet just as Missy came flying off the top hitting Raquel with a
double axe handle smash. She makes the cover
counting to three and awards the match to Missy Chick. After Missy left, Raquel got to her feet and
she was stewing. She rolled out of the
ring and limped to the back. (19 min)
Phat Sol makes his
way out to the ring and the fans pop for him.
They chant “That you Phat!” and he started to get emotional. Phat says he had a good run and has no
regrets. The fans were very supportive
of him and he appreciated their level of involvement in his matches. He is then interrupted by the TV Champion the
Unknown Assassin and his manager the Honorable J C Dykes. Dykes has a mic. “Boo hoo…Phatty Patty is leaving. NO ONE CARES.
THE SHEEP DON’T CARE. You are
pathetic and gullible. These people
flock to the next best thing but when the superior athlete like the Unknown
Assassin comes along, the crap on him.” The
fans boo pretty badly. “SHUT UP SHEEP. Now,
where were we…Oh yeah…you’re leaving. No
one wants you here so just get your crap and get out.” Phat places the mic in the ring and
exits. The fans pop. He makes his way up the ramp and walks up to
Dykes. He turns and drops the Unknown
Assassin with the Phat-Phat. He turns to
Dykes and his eyes go all wide. Phat
picks him up and then bodyslams him on the stage. Phat then drops an elbow on Dykes and Dykes
responds by convulsing all over the place (totally overselling). Phat salutes the fans and then leaves. Dykes and UA had to be helped to the back.
GM Master Bull
says that he is putting pen to paper and says he has 3 matches already prepared
for the super show. Ravishing Raquel
will take on Ladies Champion Candice Charisma but it will be a non-title
match. If Raquel wins, she gets the next
title shot. Texas Wildfire will get a
shot at Ice Dagger and the winner of the match gets the next title shot at the
TV champion. Lastly, the main event will
be World Champion Buzz Steel defending his title against King Rad Gumbo. The rest of the card should be finalized by
their next Phoenix show.
It’s time for the
main event. The Ryzing Storm (Terra and
Tyler Ryzing) make their way out and get a so-so pop from the crowd. Next, the Ambassador comes out and introduces
Elitism (Reid and Roderick Rothchild).
The one time fan favorite team is now hated by the fans. The fans showed their lack appreciation for
the team and man, they let Elitism have it.
Reid, Roderick and the Ambassador walked down to the ring ignoring
them. After a brief offensive run,
Elitism fell to the power of the Storm and it took the Ambassador to get their heads
on straight (the fans finally got to them and it took them off their
game). Roderick tags in Reid who
immediately hits Terra with a Reid Bottom.
He makes the cover and with a handful of tights, he gets the 1-2-3. Elitism gets the win much to the chagrin of
the fans. The show comes to an end with
the Ambassador raising his team’s arm high in the middle of the ring.
Thanks for
reading. More action to follow.
