GM Max
McGillicutty comes out to a pop from the crowd.
Max thanks the fans for attending and says that a week ago, a new TV
Champion was crowned in Texas Wildfire.
TW was subsequently attacked after the match by former champion the
Unknown Assassin. We’re sure that TW
will have a response for the masked man.
Also to note that at the last show in Phoenix, former TV Champion Phat
Sol appeared but was up in the rafters like a crow. I’m sure that until he is cleared for return
to active competition, he’ll be watching over all. Max also tells us that as we saw when the
show began tonight, the card’s lineup was posted so that both wrestlers and
fans alike will know who is on the show today.
The fans will be treated to a US title defense as newly crowned champion
The Crocodile Hunter has accepted the challenge from the man who eliminated him
in the TV title battle royal “Top Gun” Justin Winger. He
leaves the stage so that the show can get moving.
Magnum Kone came
out first to a pretty substantial pop from the crowd. He took his time delivering ice cream to the
fans at ringside. While he was doing
that, the music changed and out came the new guy Bob “Powder” Keg. Magnum gave out is final ice cream and
entered the ring. The bell rang almost immediately.
Magnum and Bob
went toe to toe for 10 solid minutes.
Bob then distracted the ref and in from the crowd came Mason the
Mangler. Mason attacked Magnum using
what he could find on the outside of the ring.
After hitting a piledriver on the outside injuring Magnum, Mason tossed
Magnum back in the ring. Magnum only got
in 2 moves over the next 10 minutes.
Just as time was running out, Bob hits Magnum with an exploder suplex
and hooks the leg getting the 3 counts seconds before the time limit would run
out. Bob “Powder” Keg gets the win in
his first HCW match. The fans boo him as
he heads to the back. He doesn’t care about
the fans reaction. Magnum was helped to
the back by a couple of referees but he was on his feet. (20 min)
A video plays of
the US Champion the Crocodile Hunter accepting the challenge from “Top Gun” and
tells Winger to bring his best game.
It’s time for the
next match. First, Scarlett Phoenix
makes her way out to a pop from the crowd.
El Gato Negro comes out next and she too gets a big pop from the
crowd. Both women took the match slow at
the start but then Scarlett kicked it into high gear. It seemed like Scarlett was going to get a
win but El Gato kept kicking out or nullifying the pin and submission attempts. Scarlett seemed to be getting really
frustrated and as the clock was running down, she set up El Gato to hit the
Black Widow but El Gato nullified it.
The bell then rang bringing this one to a draw finish. After the match, El Gato extended her hand
and Scarlett looked to the crowd and they popped. She went to shake El Gato’s hand but instead
slapped her across the face. She then
stormed out of the ring as the fans booed her.
(20 min draw)
Mustang Sammy is
backstage and it looks like he’s set up for an interview but he appears to be
the interviewer. He sits down and tells
us he’s going to interview the man who at one time was his mentor… the
Stache…but he’s no longer the Stache…he’s a “new” guy who calls himself Davis
“the Hoff” Hoffmeister. The camera pans
to the chair across from him and it’s a picture. One half of the face is that of the
Stache’s and the other half is
Davis. Mustang Sammy talks about how he
followed the career of the Stache. A
very unique voice interrupts saying “That name no longer has any meaning for
me.” Sammy pleads “It’s the name of your
true self…you’ve only forgotten.” He
says he’s tried to live his life as the Stache did; as a role model for kids
growing up. He says that Davis turned
his back on that image and became self-centered only thinking about himself and
no one else. Tonight, Mustang shows the
fans his true colors as he is exposed as a fraud.
Next up we have
tag team action. For this match, the
Smasher challenged AJ and Billy for their spot in the tag team lineup. First, Adam Jameson and Billy Robbins come
out to the ring to a pop from the crowd.
Next, the Smashers (1&2) make their way out to booing from the
crowd. They hit the ring and attack AJ
and Billy kicking this one off quick.
The Smashers thought by attacking early that they would get a leg
up. They did but AJ and Billy battled
back. After a defensive standoff between
Smasher #2 and AJ, AJ made the hot tag to Billy who rushed in and hit Smasher
#2 with a Slingshot Smash. AJ rushes
across the ring hitting Smasher #1 with a flying forearm. Billy makes the cover and gets the
1-2-3. AJ and Billy retain their spot in
the tag team line up. The Smashers
leave and Billy and Adam leave shortly thereafter. (8 min)
Backstage, Davis
Hoffmeister is cutting a promo. He
laughs shaking his head. “A Star Wars
reference? Really? No Wild Wild West, Bonanza, or OK Corral
references? I didn’t turn my back on
anyone. The fans back me, my manager
backs me. I don’t know what warped your
childhood but it wasn’t me. I don’t know
what or why but now it doesn’t matter.
Meet me in the ring and I’ll see what you’ve got.”
Pete Punsher (aka
the Pun-isher) makes his way out to the ring but he really hasn’t been cracking
puns as of late. The fans have seemed to
accept him but are still weary. Next,
TNT comes out and the fans pop for him.
Once in the ring, the two men shake hands and this one kicks off. TNT actually impressed the hell out of the
fans and Pete but Pete wasn’t going quietly into the night. The Pun-isher stayed strong and rode it out
until the end. After the bell rang
bringing this one to a draw finish, both men shook hands much to the fans’
delight. (20 min draw)
A taped promo airs
from the Unknown Assassin who demands that Texas Wildfire give him his rematch
for the TV title as he was never pinned for it.
“Don’t be a sissy…give me my title shot!”
Our next match is
ready to go. Mustang Sammy comes out
first and the crowd boos him. He doesn’t
let it phase him. Next, manager Figgy
Newton comes out and the fans boo him but then he introduces Davis Hoffmeister
and the fans pop like crazy. Figgy
accompanies Davis down to the ring.
Davis enters and has a stare down with Sammy. The ref tells us this match will have a 30
minute time limit. This one was just
personal. Davis totally owned this match
and it was more about teaching the meaning of respect than trying to get a pin
or submission. About 10 minutes in, Sammy
reversed a whip and threw Davis right into Figgy knocking him from the apron
and crashing to the floor. Davis
immediately went out to check on his manager and Figgy motioned he was ok but
Sammy rushed over attacking both men.
Finally the action returned to the ring and so did Davis’ offense. At the 19 minute mark, both Sammy and Davis
were fighting on the outside of the ring.
Figgy snuck over with a chair and swung as Sammy who ducked and caught
Davis full on. Sammy rolled back into
the ring and beat the 10 count. Davis
ended up getting counted out awarding the match to Mustang Sammy. Davis rolled into the ring and groggily made
it to his feet. Figgy came into the ring
to help him but HIT HIM WITH A CHAIR instead!
What the HELL??? Figgy just
turned on Davis and now appears to be siding with Mustang Sammy. He raises Sammy’s arm and the two leave. Davis is eventually helped to the back.
It doesn’t take
long but Figgy and Mustang Sammy are approached for an interview. Figgy states that Drew was no better than
that quitter DJ CJ and he needed someone he could trust. He’s got Mustang Sammy that he will lead to
gold and his crown jewel – the Ladies Champion Taylor Bella. He laughs and walks off.
It’s time for our
Main Event: US title match: The Crocodile
Hunter vs Top Gun Justin Winger
Before the match
could begin, the Banker ran out and attacked Winger beating him with his
briefcase. He left but the damage had
been done. Winger said he wanted the
match to continue but he wasn’t able to do much in the way of offense. He did make it to 9 minutes in the match but
after Croc laid in with the Knife Edge Chops, Winger went down and that was
it. Croc made the cover and got the easy
1-2-3. Crocodile Hunter retains the
title. The fans pop for him as he
leaves. As Winger struggled to his feet,
the Banker rushed in from the crowd again and knocked Winger out cold. He opened the dented briefcase and pulled out
the stamp and pasted the word “DENIED” on his forehead. The fans booed heavily as the Banker stood
tall in the ring as the show came to an end.
