HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #549


Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  As was mentioned in the last issue, today will be a tournament to crown a new Hardcore Champion.  Everyone not holding a title (trophy excluded) is eligible to participate.  We started off with 60 people (‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild, although a ‘champion’ was allowed to participate because of his manager Master Bull’s finagling but it didn’t help much).  The final two came down to the Stache (eliminated Biceps Bannerman) and Jerry Saunders (eliminated El Dragon Insano). 

GM Max McGillicutty comes out and sets the guidelines for the final match.  He says this will be an ECW rules match.  Unfortunately, we never got that far.

And just like that, we have ourselves a NEW HARDCORE CHAMPION.  Congratulations to the new champ.  

The championship committee just noticed a huge error:  Tag Team Champions Pete the PUN-isher & Magnum Kone have not defended their titles in the February calendar month.  Max immediately puts the match together with Pete & Magnum defending their belts against the Mexicali Flyers.  The Flyers (El Dragon Insano & Tornado en Fuego) came out first and they looked ready to take on the world.  The Ambassador comes out to introduce the champs and they all looked peeved.  They make their way to the ring and try to complain that they are defending their belts at the supershow but their whining fell to deaf ears.  Max did make one concession and that is to make the time limit 20 minutes.   Right off the bat, the champs attacked Tornado en Fuego injuring him and taking him effectively out of the match.  El Dragon tried to hold his own but the champs overwhelmed them.  After Magnum got tired of Pete’s showboating, he tagged himself in only to have El Dragon hit him with a neckbreaker.  El Dragon went to the top turnbuckle but before he could launch, the Ambassador tripped him he crashed hard to the mat.  Magnum crawled over and draped an arm over El Dragon and got the 3 count.  The champs retained their belts.  This did not sit well with Max who came out and said he saw the Ambassador interfere.  As much as the manager tried to deny it, Max said that at the Supershow, the Mexicali Flyers get a rematch and if the Ambassador interferes again, his team will be STRIPPED of the tag team titles. The show ends with Pete, Magnum and the Ambassador in the ring yelling back at Max

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #548 - Tribute show (please read)


Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  The show begins, not with fanfare and fireworks, but an appearance by GM Max McGillicutty.  Max, somber, tells the fans in attendance that reality has interfered with the fantasy world of the HCW.  The man ‘behind’ the Masked Gentleman, Ralph Majewski has passed away.  Max says that today’s show will be a tribute show to the masked man. Max looks up to the Omegatron and a picture of the Masked Gentleman appears. 






The fans stand and applaud and (probably for the first time ever) start an “MG” chant.  Max says that since MG was the reigning Hardcore champion, the belt he possessed will be retired and will be the final holder of that belt.  A new belt will be created and a tournament will be held to crown a new Hardcore champion.

Max says that tonight there will be no storylines on the show; just a bunch of people who want to pay tribute to the man that who did his best to make everyone’s life miserable.

A mysterious figure sits in a chair in a dark room and then a light comes on and it is the hashtag – CJ.  “it is with a heavy heart that the hashtag speaks to you tonight but unfortunately we have lost a true entertainer  and competitor in MG ---the masked gentleman... his short appearance in the ring brought many a good matches and even better promos!!!  This man was destined to be a true legend, unfortunately like many legends, his career was cut way too short.  So tonight the hashtag will not make a challenge, will not rant rave or belittle... tonight the hashtag is truly stunned and will only mourn the loss of this legend, and a life cut too soon...”  CJ then leaves the room.

Match #1:  Super Shockmaster vs Superquake Ferguson:  The two men squared off in the ring and with this one, there was no “good guy vs bad guy”; it was just two guys putting on a show for the fans.  Super Shockmaster dominated the match with Ferguson getting a little run in himself but in the end, SS hits his patented Clothesline and makes the cover to get the 1-2-3.  (19 min)

Match #2:  Phat Sol vs Mr. Wrestling #5:  Phat is accompanied to the ring by his manager the Ambassador.  Both men shake hands as this one kicks off.  Mr. Wrestling #5 stayed one step ahead of Phat and even though the Ambassador tried to give Phat some advice, MW5 dictated the pace and after delivering an elbow smash, made the cover to get the 3 count.  (11 min)

A vignette airs with the Super Shockmaster:  "We never got to settle things, and our war of words and ticket dispensers now ceases. Take your heat elsewhere, to that ring filled with 'Animal's and 'Russian Bear's. They must have needed a Masked Gentleman, wherever they are."

Match #3:  Pete the PUN-isher & Magnum Kone vs Ferb & Junior Huber.  The Ambassador comes out with the tag team champs but the belts are not on the line tonight.  The Hubers had control very early on and continued the success throughout most of the match.  Once Magnum tagged in, it all changed and they started on an offensive run.  Once Pete thought they were beat down enough, he tagged in but Junior caught him right away with the Mountain Man Cutter and got the pin.  The Huber’s win this one.  (17 min)

Match #4:  The Stache vs the Fiend.  The Fiend was the one MG defeated to become the Hardcore champion in the first place and he seemed bound and determined to put on a good show in his memory.  The Fiend put it all on the line and he owned the match.  From hitting the Devil’s Reign to the Devil’s Lock, the Fiend had the Stache’s number here.  Finally, after reversing a Tombstone attempt from the Stache, the Fiend nails him with the Last Caress (swinging DDT).  He makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  The Fiend wins this one.  Both men shake hands to a standing ovation from the crowd.  (13 min)

A vignette airs from Texas Wildfire:  “When I started wrasslin', my mentor Dusty Rhodes told me, ‘There will always be a man that has ya number. He'll be the thorniest of the thorns in ya side.’ Since my time here in the HCW, there's been one man who was always the thorn in my side. That man was the Masked Gentleman. Our war was brutal, but I always had respect for MG. We weren't friends, but I always had respect for MG. When we were in the ring together we tore the house down. We went back and forth and pushed each other to be the best we could be inside and outside of the ring. I'll miss that. Thank you MG.”

Match #5:  Triple Threat Match:  King Wilber Townsend vs Hangman #3 vs Sonic Blade.  All three men made their way to the ring without a lot of fanfare.  Hangman #3 got involved a little in the match but it was more about King Wilber taking on Sonic Blade.  Sonic controlled the match but just couldn’t keep anyone down for a 3 count.  Finally, the bell rings bringing this to a time limit draw.  All 3 men get a standing ovation from the crowd as they head to the back.  (30 min draw)

Match #6:  Two of our ladies requested to be on tonight’s show:  El Gato Negro vs Ruby Princess.  Both women shook hands once they got in the ring.  El Gato had full control of the match but the longer it went on, Ruby began to become more of a threat.  Out of nowhere, Ruby hits the Ruby’s Simply Ravishing to get the 3 count.  Both women shook hands afterwards.  (19 min)

A vignette airs from The Fiend:  “When I was told I’d be fighting the Masked Gentleman, I had to do some research on the guy and got to know his character as well as the man behind the mask and he was one of a kind.  RIP my friend.”

Match #7:  The Mexicali Flyers vs the Desperados.  Both teams received healthy reception from the crowd.  All 4 men shook hands and the Flyers assumed immediate control of the match.  Lots of high flying from the Flyers was countered by the ground game from the Desperados.  El Dragon Insano connects with an insane flying dropkick on Leon Teremoto and gets the 1-2-3.  The Mexicali Flyers win this one. All 4 men shake hands afterwards.  (9 min)

It’s time for our Main Event.

Main Event:  Match #8:  Champion vs Champion but no titles are on the line.  First, the US Champion Texas Wildfire comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  Next, the World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes out and the volume is equally as intense. Both men shake hands and it kicks off.  I’ve got to tell you, this match was the most intense with the top two guys in the HCW giving their all.  For 9 minutes, neither man gave an inch.  Once Drew hit the first corkscrew pescado, things began to go his way.  Regardless of what Drew hit him with, TW just wouldn’t stay down.  Finally, Drew is able to connect with another corkscrew pescado and this time, he gets the 3 count.  Drew wins the match but the fans gave just as much credit to the US Champion Texas Wildfire.  Both men shook hands as they left the ring.

After the video is done, Turnip comes out and he is carrying MG’s favorite food – Prime Rib.  A table is set up in the ring and he places it on the table and lights a single candle.  Next, MG’s manager Miss Samantha comes down to the ring carrying his fedora and mask.  She places them on the table.  Lastly, CJ makes his way to the ring and he’s carrying a bag.  He gets into the ring.  He opens the bag he’s carrying and it’s a jar of teal colored M&M’s.    CJ then opens the jar and empties the contents into a bowl on the table.  The roster comes out and stands on the stage.  Max comes out with the owners Mr. Bychowski & Mr. Meyers and joins the roster on stage.  CJ then points to MG’s picture as a 10 bell salute rings. 






The light dim and the show comes to an end.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #547 - All Hail the King PPV



Hello fans and welcome to our “All Hail the King” PPV live here in Phoenix, Arizona.  Pyro goes off and our show is underway.  The camera cuts to the back with a limo pulling up.  World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine exits and looks like he’s had a rough night.  He says that he consumed a little too much cognac and when questioned if that would affect his match tonight, he said no as he’ll be fine as he has time to relax before his match in the main event.  Drew leaves and before the cameraman can come back inside, a horse drawn carriage pulls up and his Royalness the Hashtag King CJ exits.  He adjusts his cape and crown and proceeds (regally) into the building.

Pyro goes off once again and the ladies of HCW all head down to the ring for their battle royal.  After they’ve all gotten into the ring, the Ladies Champion Kimberly Kiccass makes her way down and goes to sit at commentary.  The bell quickly rings and eliminations happen almost instantaneously.  In just under 10 minutes, most of the women were eliminated leaving only 4 – Taylor Bella, Starr Vixen, Sarona Reiher and the Duchess.  Duchess is eliminated by Taylor who didn’t’ have any time to celebrate as she was the next victim courtesy of Sarona.  That left Sarona vs Starr Vixen.  Vixen almost had Starr eliminated but she was able to hold the ropes for dear life.  Starr went for a high risk move and was caught by the Samoan.  She was getting ready to powerbomb Starr out of the ring when Starr wriggled out of it and used a standing headscissors to send Sarona over the top rope to the floor.  Starr Vixen will receive the title shot tonight.  Before she could leave, the Ladies Champion got into the ring and into her face saying she has best be prepared as she’ll be in for the fight of her life tonight.  (15 min for the match; 5 for the extra segment)

Backstage, manager Ant Graham is with the 6 man trophy winners the 5th Column (Baron von Blood, Karl Brawn and Oswald Zimmerman) and he says that two of their opponents tonight are reject members of the Column because they couldn’t cut it. The third is just a Stone Cold wannabe and will be a non-factor tonight.  Graham says his team will leave victorious.

In another interview area, Otto, Wendell and Ivan listened to Ant’s ramblings.  Otto says that Wendell and Ivan saw the light and got away from the poison before it totally destroyed them.  As for him being a “stone cold wannabe”, you know, he’s ok with that as imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and what better way to be a better wrestler is to incorporate a little something with your own.  Tonight, they don’t get “Stone Cold”; they get “Ruthless”.

Our next match is up.  First, the challengers – Ivan Dragovich, Wendell Hammerschmidt and Otto Ruthless come out to a pop from the crowd.  Next, hauling the 6 man trophy behind them are Ant Graham and the 5th Column.  Ant is yelling at the staff to keep up with them as the trophy shows them as the best in the business.  The Column get in the ring and immediately attack their opponents trying to catch them off guard but they were ready for such a sneaky underhanded attack and sent all 3 men to the outside of the ring.  Once they got back in the ring, the champs DECIMATED their opponents targeting Otto the entire time.  For 6 minutes, Otto could not make the tag.  Finally after connecting with a back bodydrop on Karl, he made the hot tag to Wendell.  Wendell was immediately triple teamed until his team came in to even the odds.  After a couple of minutes, Ivan gets in and cleans house.  In fact, after Ivan got in the ring, the 5th Column had 4 offensive moves the rest of the match.  The ref took a bump after Ivan crashed into him.  Ant then tried to interfere but Ivan got wise and locked him in the Accolade much to the fans delight.  The ref began to recover and Ivan dumped the manager out of the ring.  He turned around only to be caught with a foreign object shot to the head.  Karl hurled the illegal item out of the ring and made the cover to get the 1-2-3.  The 5th Column retain their trophy.  They left half carrying/dragging Ant to the back and had their trophy in tow.  Wendell and Otto tended to Ivan and helped him to the back.  (14 min)

Backstage, King CJ all decked out in his regal gear says he’s going to go sit at ringside and watch this fight.  He thinks he knows who will win but is interested to see how it all plays out.

The Men’s battle royal is up next.  King CJ comes out to “Pomp and Circumstance” and goes to sit at commentary.   One by one, the men all come out and file into the ring.  There are a lot more of them so the action spills out of the ring more often than it stayed in the ring.  Once 15 minutes had passed, enough people had been eliminated allowing the action to continue in the ring.  Mountain Man Junior Huber had the most eliminations until world champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine eliminated him.  Masked Gentleman had the next amount of eliminations followed by the Axe.  One by one they kept falling.  Axe seemed to take great pleasure in eliminating Sonic Blade and Reid Rothchild (the latter of whom he hurled over the top rope on to his manager Master Bull).  Finally it came down to the final four:  The Axe, Drew the Canadian Love Machine, Wilber Townsend and the Masked Gentleman.  Axe tosses MG out of the ring but he holds the top rope.  The ref doesn’t catch it (the camera does though) and the tip of his boot brushed the floor but since a ref didn’t see it, he didn’t get eliminated.  The Axe hurls Drew out of the ring but then Wilber does the same to him.  Thinking he’s won it, Wilber lets his guard down and MG rushes over and hurls him out.  MG says he gets the shot at the King’s crown.  Someone in the back began doing an instant replay showing MG’s foot scraping the mat.  Max comes out and says that MG should have been eliminated but the ref didn’t pay close enough attention.  MG starts to complain saying how there is no instant replay rule in wrestling.  Max stops him and says he’s going to do right and allow both Wilber and MG to fight for the crown in a triple threat match.  Neither MG nor Wilber seem all that thrilled about it.  King CJ, sitting at ringside, says it will make it all that more interesting.  Eventually everyone leaves.  (30 min)

Backstage Starr Vixen says that since debuting in HCW, this is the biggest night of her career and she says she’ll do everyone proud.

We go back to the ring for our Ladies Championship match.  Starr Vixen comes out to a big pop from the crowd.  Next, the Ladies Champion Kimberly Kiccass comes out and she is booed.  Before anything could continue though, the Duchess makes her way out holding a briefcase.  She says she is in possession of a “Money in the Bank Contract” and she is inserting herself into this match.  Max comes out and questions the validity of the contract but the Duchess tells him to never mind and that it is valid.  Max says Ok but if you step foot in that ring and does not win the title, she will not be able to go for any title shot for the remainder of the year.  She thought about it for a moment, went to enter the ring but then stopped and dropped back to the floor.  She says that both women are great and even though she believes in risk/reward, the risk of not getting another title match for the year is just too great.  She says she’ll cash in when the time is right.  Starr brought her A game and really took the match to the champ where Kimberly got worried her title was slipping through her fingers.  She then hurled Starr out of the ring and after ramming her into the steel steps, she rolled back in just as the ref counted to 10.  Starr Vixen is counted out and Kimberly retains her title on a technicality.  (9 min) 

The Duchess comes back out and rushes the ring turning in her briefcase.  I guess we have ourselves another match.  The Duchess nails a European uppercut and Kimberly tosses her to the floor.  She’s back in by the 8 count.  Kimberly goes for a Flying Hurricanrana but the Duchess reverses it and locks in the “All Hail Her Majesty” and right in the center of the ring, Kimberly taps out.  The Duchess wins the match by submission victory and is the NEW LADIES CHAMPION.  She starts a chant “All Hail Her Majesty” and she holds the title high all the while walking to the back happy with the turnout.  (2 min)

Wilber Townsend is backstage with his family – the Huber’s.  Wilber says that you bring three men to battle and no such men will return. The war of the titans was a battle between the old guard and the new. This battle was for the control of the entire universe. In the end the titans were conquered by Zeus “King of the Gods”.   Wilber says that right here and right now their mythology becomes our reality.   Wilber says that he’s the King of the Gods; says that this (points to the clan) is our army. We’ve seen what battle does to the likes of King CJ and the Masked Gentleman but they have not fought someone like him.  Wilber says he and the Huber’s have their eyes set on destroying all of the HCW titans.

It’s now time for the defense of the crown.  First, the Masked Gentleman comes out (minus Miss Samantha) and gets in the ring.  Next, Wilber Townsend makes his way out and the fans (for some weird reason) are cheering for him.  Finally, the King of HCW CJ makes his way out to a huge pop from the crowd.  For the first 5 minutes of the match, CJ and MG teamed up to take out Wilber.  He took time on the outside of the ring to recover while CJ and the Masked Gentleman duked it out in the ring.  CJ nails a superplex and tries for a pin but Wilber made the save.  CJ then locked Wilber in a guillotine choke but that got broken up by MG.  After the three slugged it out for the next few minutes, Wilber took MG to the outside of the ring and nailed a lifting slam on the floor.  Wilber gets back in the ring and CJ hits a headstand headlock and goes for a quick pin but Wilber was right at the ropes.  CJ gets tossed out by MG.  Wilber hits a running crossbody but MG nails a superplex.  He goes for the pin but CJ makes the save.  CJ and Wilber try to double team MG but he reverses it and nails both with the Welcome Mat.  The three continue to trade blows but Wilber gets sent out of the ring and MG tries for the guillotine choke but MG reverses it and nails CJ with a piledriver.  Wilber sneaks in and hits MG with the Go to Sleep.  He goes for a pin but MG kicks out.   Wilber backs off begging MG to get up and nails him with a lifting slam.  He goes for the pin again but CJ breaks it up.   Wilber drops CJ with a short arm clothesline.  Another pin attempt is once again thwarted.  MG nails a dropkick but Wilber hits him with a short arm clothesline sending him to the outside.  He landed very awkwardly and looked to be hurt.  I think he realized he wasn’t going to make it back into the ring so he grabbed a chair and blasted CJ with it.  CJ stumbled and Wilber nailed a lifting sideslam.  Wilber goes for the pin and the ref counted 1…2…3!  Wilber Townsend has just defeated CJ to become the NEW KING of HCW.  The Masked Gentleman smirks and leaves limping to the back.  Wilber kicks CJ out of the ring.  The Huber’s come down and the coronation for the NEW KING begins.  Wilber is given the scepter, robe and crown and he begins to laugh manically.  (27:40 is the match time)

World Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine is not looking like he got any rest.  He shakes it off and says it’s “GO” time.  He prepares to head to the ring.

It’s time for our MAIN EVENT.  MJ comes out first and introduces the “next world champion” ‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo.  Gumbo comes out as we hear blaring over the loudspeakers “Gumbo 7:30 says its suppa time bitch”.  Gumbo walks down to the ring with a focus we can’t recall ever seeing before from him.  The music changes and the World Champion comes out to the biggest pop of the night.  Drew looks slightly better now that he’s moving.  MJ directs Rad to attack but as soon as he does, the champ FLINCHES.  That’s all he wanted and now he thinks he has the upper hand.  Wrong.  (we think Drew flinched was because he belched)  The bell rang and for 7 minutes, Drew owned the Cajun.  MJ finally decided to get involved and handed Rad a foreign object.  First, Rad hits him with it and nails the Cottonmouth clutch.  Next, Drew goes for the corkscrew pescado but Rad reverse it, hits him with the foreign object a second time and follows it up with the Bourbon Street Blues.  He goes for a pin but Drew kicks out at 2.  Drew battles back nailing the La Casita and then follows it up with the Lover Bomb.  Rad pops the champ a third time with the foreign object, hits the Cottonmouth clutch and goes for the pin again but Drew makes it to the ropes.  From this point on, the challenger owned the champ but could not keep him down for a 3 count.  10 minutes later, Rad decides to use the foreign object again.  Pop 1:  Where ya at jabs…cover for a 2 count.   Pop 2:  fist full of hair pull…cover for a 2 count.  Drew somehow managed to get the foreign object out of Rad’s hand and then things improved.  Drew nullified the ‘where ya at jabs’ and then hit a bodyslam before hitting a corkscrew pescado.  Drew makes the cover and with a hook of the leg gets the 1, 2, 3.  Drew the Canadian Love Machine retains his title in an exhaustive 22 minute battle.  Rad and MJ leave defeated while Drew stays in the ring celebrating with his title and the fans.  With that, the show comes to an end.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #546 – lead up to the PPV




Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  Well, the PPV “All Hail the King” will be taking place this weekend live in Phoenix, AZ.  But before that though, we have to get through today’s show.  Once again, taking on the main event will be the third and final match between the Masked Gentleman and King CJ.  Since CJ won the cage match, tonight’s match will be for the Hardcore title with Last Man Standing rules.

Pyro goes off and our show is off and running. 

Match 1: Madame Jade vs Ravishing Ruby Princess:  Madame Jade makes her way to the ring first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, Ravishing Ruby Princess makes her way out and she is booed but she can’t understand why.  After bit of a slow start, the match finally got moving and Madame Jade had control of the match nullifying Ruby at almost every opportunity.  Finally, Ruby starts to get frustrated and went for a high risk move but as soon as she was airborne, Jade caught her mid-air with a flying dropkick.  Jade makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  The fans showed her a little more love this time around and she left the ring content.  (17 min)

The Ambassador is backstage with ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston and Lucas calls out the roster for being weak.  All of a sudden, his eyes go wide when Biceps Bannerman walks into the shot.  Biceps flexes in front of Lucas asking “Does this look weak to you?”  Before Lucas could answer, Biceps said he would show Lucas in the ring tonight.  Biceps walks off and you can see Lucas visibly gulp.

Match 2: Superstar Chic Monroe vs Wilber Townsend for his top 10 spot.  Chic Monroe comes out first and his music is cut off when the creepy “Deliverance” type music plays and out comes Wilber.  Wilber is accompanied by his cousins the Fubers but they do not go down to the ring with him.  For two minutes Chic began an offensive run but it got cut short when Wilber hurled him over the top rope.  Wilber distracted the ref and ‘Mountain Man’ Junior Huber ran down (agile for a man his size) and planted Chic with a powerslam on the floor.  He then rushed back up the ramp.  The ref counted and once he reached 10, counted Chic down and out.  Wilber retains his top 10 spot via countout.  (2 ½ min)

Backstage in the Ladies dressing room, Ladies Champion Kimberly Kiccass addresses the locker room.  She tells them that at the PPV on Sunday, she will defend her title against the winner of the Ladies Battle Royal and she expects whomever wins to be at her best (unlike her last title match) and they had best steal the show.

Match 3: Red Hot Lucas Johnston vs Biceps Bannerman.  The Ambassador comes out first and introduces Lucas.  He looks petrified and the Ambassador tries to calm his nerves but it does little to assuage him.  Biceps comes out and pyro goes off all around him.  The fans pop for him just because he’s so darn likable.  Lucas bails out of the ring once Biceps arrives and it takes a few moments for this to get underway.  For 6 minutes Biceps tossed Lucas around like a rag doll but once the Ambassador interfered, Lucas turned things around and actually went toe to toe with the huge man.  Lucas actually proved he could hang with the heavyweights and still looked impressive once the bell rang bringing this one to a time limit draw.  Seeing that Biceps still had stull left in the tank, Lucas erred on the side of caution and left.  (20 min draw)

The Masked Gentleman arrives with Miss Samantha.  "OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW? YOUR ASS BETTER CALLLL SOMEBODDDYYYY!!!"  MG walks by staff members and of course tells everybody that he is the Star of HCW, and the others are just wannabes, like Max ,TW, SuperDustBuster, and King Re-J(ect).  Miss Samantha holds the door to the dressing room open so that MG’s prime rib and teal M&M’s can be brought in.  MG cackles “MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA” and closes the door.

We go back to the ring for the next match.  First, the Huber Clan (Ferb, Junior & Butch) make their way out and they are booed.  Next, Ivan Dragovich, Otto Ruthless and Wendell Hammerschmidt all make their way out and they surprisingly get a large pop from the crowd.  At two points in the match, all 6 men were in the ring duking it out however Ivan was in most of the time as the Hubers kept him sequestered and didn’t allow him to tag out.  In a tremendous show of strength, Mountain Man Junior Huber hoisted Ivan (who’s not a small man by the way) over his head and hurled him to the floor.  Ivan landed weird but was able to make it back in just before the 10 count.  Junior, not satisfied with that, picked him up again and once again hurled him to the floor.  This time Ivan was moving much more slowly and didn’t make it back in to the ring in time.  The Huber’s get the win via countout.  After they left, Otto and Wendell were trying to help Ivan up when the 5th Column (Baron von Blood, Karl Braun & Oswald Zimmerman) ran down and attacked Ivan and team.  Otto was a bit more prepared and had a chair handy and after a brief altercation, chased the Column from the ring.  He then took the mic and challenged the Column to a match at the PPV for the 6 man trophy.  Otto turned to the crowd asking if they thought the match should happen and he replied with a “Oh Hell Yeah!”  The Baron, speaking for the Column, accepted the match.  (7 min for the match; 5 extra for the segment).

King CJ arrives and says he’s ready for action.  “Taking out MG and once again becoming the Hardcore Champion will be greater than winning the crown or the World title…nah, maybe not but it’ll be fun.”  The King left to go get ready for his match.

Match 5 is ready to begin.  Southern Belle makes her way out to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd.   Scarlet Phoenix makes her way out next and she receives a better welcome than Belle did which seems to infuriate her.  Belle attacks Scarlett almost immediately and this one is quickly underway.  Scarlett, like her “black widow” moniker suggests, outmaneuvered Belle and controlled the match for the first 7 minutes.  Belle quickly turned the tables after catching her with a dropkick with cowboy boots.  Belle, the more senior wrestler took over and owned the rest of the match.  Scarlett was able to hit the Black Widow once but was unable to make the pin.  Belle would finally catch Scarlett with the Southern Swing and with a hook of the leg (and the tights) she got the 1-2-3.  Southern Belle gets the win and the fans don’t care for it one bit.  She flips them off and leaves.  Scarlett gets a “nice try” pop from the crowd as she leaves.  (18 min)

The Savior is backstage playing ‘God of War’ on the Crocodile Hunter’s (replaced) gaming console.  Croc hears this and storms in only to get attacked by the Savior (who was waiting but we think he was actually enjoying the game) again going after his bad knee.  The Savior promises that Croc WILL be saved and the path of redemption begins by getting the CRAP out of his life.  He takes the console and SMASHES it on the ground.  The Savior walks out and Croc is just stunned.

Over in the interview area, MJ and ‘The Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo are being interviewed and Rad calls out Drew challenging him for the World title.  It just so happened that the World Champion was there.  He walked over and asked why Rad thought he deserved a shot before the likes of the Axe and the Stache.  Rad says he’s been waiting patiently and now it’s his time…unless Drew is afraid of him.  Drew assures us he is not and agrees to the match.  The two stare at each other with MJ standing behind them all smiles.

It is time for our MAIN EVENT:  the Masked Gentleman vs King CJ:  Match 3 and this time, the Hardcore title WILL be on the line. First, King CJ makes his way to the ring to the biggest pop of the night from the fans.  Next, Miss Samantha comes out and introduces her man, the Hardcore Champion the Masked Gentleman.  He comes out to “Pomp and Circumstance” but the music is quickly cut off (like a needle being dragged across a record) and MG’s own music plays.  MG stands outside the ring and then GM Max McGillicutty comes out.  Max tells us the Hardcore title will be on the line and it will be a Last Man Standing rules match.   The two of them pulled out all the stops and put on what most consider a 5 star match.  CJ was motivated to win the title and the Masked Gentleman was determined to put the King out to pasture. For about 22 minutes, MG controlled the match but after trapping MG in the guillotine choke for almost 2 minutes alone (MG did NOT give up), CJ’s offensive truly began.  The King dazzled the champ with flying dropkicks and many superplex.  CJ nails MG with a hangman’s DDT but MG kicks out at 2.  We join the final moments of the match:

King CJ executes a FLYING DROPKICKS that sends MG over the turnbuckle and into the post practically knocking him out....

Miss Samantha jumps in the ring and levels King CJ with a chair. She then executes a PILEDRIVER....

Miss Samantha looks at the clock and then pulls out handcuffs cuffing King CJ to the bottom rope so he could not get up.  She runs over to MG pleading for him to get to his feet but he is very slow in moving.

The Referee begins the count: 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…10.  The referee counts both men out as they are unable to get to their feet in time. 

After 20 minutes, the match is declared a double countout. 

However, the belt does not change hands on a countout decision so the Masked Gentleman is STILL the Hardcore Champion.  Miss Samantha hands him his title and they walk away as CJ tires to free himself from the handcuff. King CJ is officially out of any future opportunities for the Hardcore title as long as MG is still in possession of it.

The fans are not happy with the finish but MG is content that he is walking away with his title intact. 

With that, the show comes to an end.  Our PPV is up next and the lineup looks like this:

A battle royal for the women will take place with the winner challenging for the Ladies title.
6 man trophy defense:  The 5th Column vs Otto Ruthless, Ivan Dragovich & Wendell Hammerschmidt
A battle royal for the men will take place and the winner of it will challenge King CJ for his crown.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2017 #545


Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  We are here in Las Vegas, NV- the home of HCW superstar The Masked Gentleman.  Speaking of which, the show begins with his vignette.
 
*The Camera shows a Large castle, in Las Vegas. Its the Excalibur Hotel. Inside the scene shows a royal court wedding chapel, which has a royal theme, full of Jester's, Knights, and other well found royalty, and on the throne two seats for a worthy King and Queen. Enters MG and Miss Samantha, to Royal fanfare as they make their way to the thrones and sit down on them, Then a couple of servants proceed to put crowns upon Miss Samantha and MG's heads. As the Fanfare ceases MG looks around and then decides that maybe he should speak. "Ye Royal Servants of the #BlackNBlue Crew listen to my words. I proclaim that I your KIng MG Is the mightiest in the land. I rule with an Iron thumb, and expect that my soldiers to fight with me in this everlasting cause to prevent thieves, murderers, and face it losers like some of the heathen that run around HCW to bow down to your ruler! Now let it be known that there are frauds that intimidate others here in HCW, frauds that claim that they are "Real Kings" like one known as King CJ, do not be fooled by this fraud. King CJ is mentally unbalanced as an individual. FEAR NOT People of this great land *Chuckles as he really didn’t mean what he just said* I will Slay this Dragon breathed Idiot. His mouth will be slain to remain shut upon his ROyal Thrashing at the hands of your King, KING MG! *King MG and Miss Samantha look at each other and rise from their thrones to royal fanfare as they make their way to exit the scene.*

As soon as that ends, the Omegatron is interrupted by what appears to be a live feed .... as the camera pans around the royal suite you here a voice stating "…and the royal penis is washed" and it seems to be someone who very much resembles ms samantha!!!!  .....Thank you S.....Ohhhhhhh Mg or is it rowdy rutor tutor....the great pretender san louis obispo whogan....and now you wanna be the king???  Mg the great gimmick stealer...the lamest promo cutter in all of sports entertainment... the best thing about you is ms samantha...and believe me she KNOWS how to treat a king ahahahahahaha... while your busy rounding up a court of goons and croonies the real king is busy getting the royal treatment” (the camera pans around and there are about a half a dozen scantily clad women standing around).... “but none the less... make your list.... check it twice....and realize that  it has already been spoken and max confirms ... you will face the king not once not twice.. but 3 times in the squared circle... there will be blood...and when its all said and done you will be silenced!!!  The #King is out.” (CJ drops the mic)

Pyro goes off and our sold out show kicks off.  The first match of the evening will be a title match with the TV title on the line.  The challenger, Handsome Hernandez comes out first and is booed as he makes his way down to the ring.  Next, the TV champion ScooterJ comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  He makes his way down to the ring with the title held high over his head.  He walks up to Hernandez and holds the title right in his face.  Hernandez shoves him and this one starts right off.  Hernandez looked incredibly strong as ScooterJ was skating by thinking it was going to be a cakewalk…it wasn’t.  Hernandez owned the match and even ScooterJ could see the writing on the wall.  He tried to get counted out a few times but Hernandez kept bringing him back in.  Just when the time limit was about to expire and the champ thought he’d walk out by the skin of his teeth, Hernandez hits the ropes and nails him with a running SI superkick.  The Handsome one makes the cover and gets the 1…2…3!  Handsome Hernandez has just won the TV title.  ScooterJ is beside himself.  Hernandez is handed the title and he goes to leave but ScooterJ is on the mic and demands a rematch.  Hernandez is given a mic and he says he will but it won’t be tonight.  Hernandez says there will be a supershow coming up and at that show, he’ll give ScooterJ his rematch.  He hands the mic off and walks to the back leaving ScooterJ in the ring stewing before departing.  (19 min)

Back in GM Max McGillicutty’s office, Rad Gumbo says that before the Axe should get another shot, he wants his so he challenges the Axe for his spot.  Axe walks in overhearing his name mentioned and accepts but says when defeats Gumbo, he gets his title shot and Rad is out of the top 10.  Rad agrees and the two men sign a contract.

We head to the ring for our next match.  MJ comes out first with ‘the Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo and they are booed as they head to the ring.  The Axe comes out and the reception he gets is ice cold.  The fans are not happy he turned to the ‘dark side’ and turned his back on them.  The ref announces that this will be a no DQ match as Max wants to see a winner.  Right as the bell rang, Axe hurled Rad out of the ring but MJ jumped in the ring and clocked the Axe with a chair.  Rad was right back in and locked in the Onion twist (Muta lock).  The ref saw that Axe was out and rang the bell.  Rad Gumbo wins the match in 30 seconds via submission and now is next in line for a World Title shot.  Rad and MJ leave while Axe is helped out of the ring.  Axe is laughed at by the fans and somehow he manages to flip them off.  (30 seconds)

In the interview area, Crocodile Hunter addresses the Savior’s attack calling him a coward for “running away”.  “Savior, you coward…running away with your tail tucked between your legs…listen, if you want a match with me, just say it.  Since I believe actions speak louder than words, we will settle this in the ring.”

We head to the ring and we’ve got a Ladies Fatal Four Way with the person pinned out of the Ladies title contention.  First, Felicia Cummings makes her way out.  She is then followed by Missy Chick and Jazz Emmett.  Finally, the fourth member – The Duchess – makes her way to the ring.  The bell rings immediately and this one is off with a bang.  Both Jazz and the Duchess made the biggest impact in the ring but were tagged out just when they started getting some offense going.  Finally, Jazz got tired of being blind tagged in and just locked in the Bank Statement crossface on Missy.  Jazz somehow turned it into a pin and scored the 3 count.  Jazz wins the match, moves up in the rankings and Missy is now out of contention.  (14 ½ min)

MG Walks by Max along with Miss Samantha, "MAX! you make sure that Cage Match is open on top......no reason why, just make sure it happens, GOT IT?!" MG Looks at Miss Samantha and smiles at her, as they walk off.  Editors (Max) note:  Hey dufus, cages are already open on top.

We got back to the ring for our next match.  First, the challenger the Crocodile Hunter comes out to a big pop.  Next, Master Bull comes out and is booed.  He tells the fans to “Shut their pie holes and sit down while a REAL champion makes his way to the ring”. The Elitist Reid Rothchild comes out and the booing intensifies.  He ignores the fans makes his way to the ring.  He doesn’t wait for the bell and goes right after Croc.  Reid hits a spinnarooni and Croc hits some knife edge chops.  Reid nails a Rothchild Stunner but Croc recovers and bodyslams Reid before tossing him from the ring.  Master Bull then yelled at the ref and while the ref was distracted, the Savior ran down to the ring with a kendo stick and WHACKED Croc in the knee with it.  He then took off before the ref would see anything.  Reid gets back in the ring and immediately locks in the Figure Four Reid Lock.  Croc screams in pain but with nowhere to go, he taps out.  Reid retains his title in quick fashion.  He showboats with the title before he and Master Bull leave.  The Crocodile Hunter is helped out of the ring.  (3 min)

Backstage, MG cuts another promo “Victory will be sweet once I put the #HagRag to pasture.  No third match will be needed as I’ll bury this nobody and will stand victorious as the NEW King of HCW.”  MG and Miss Samantha head to the ring.

It is time for our MAIN Event.  The steel cage is lowered to the ring as the Masked Gentleman and his manager Miss Samantha head to the ring.  MG is calm, cool and collected and doesn’t seem to fear the steel structure.  Music hits and out comes the Hashtag King CJ.  CJ tries to enter the ring but MG pulls the door closed and then begs CJ to enter.  CJ then climbs the cage and goes over the top.  He drops down just as Miss Samantha left the ring.  The door is locked and the match can begin.

At this point, Miss Samantha climbed the outside of the cage and then does a superfly leap from the cage but CJ ends up catching her.  He gets ready to hit a powerslam but MG makes the save.  She is escorted out of the ring.

King CJ wins this one in HUGE fashion.  CJ celebrates with the fans while Miss Samantha goes into the ring and helps MG out.  Well, this for sure will set up a third and final fall between the two.  Stay tuned as things are going to get really intense.
