familiar Voltage theme hits and the camera sweeps across the arena. The crowd
is hot, buzzing, and restless.

“Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW
Wrestling Newsletter — and tonight, folks, we are here with a loaded card and a
very tense atmosphere in this building.”

Granger:
“You can feel it, Sam. You don’t even need to look at the card to know
something’s in the air. The Dark Dominion’s presence tonight will be
limited. That never is a good thing.”
The
camera cuts to the announce desk.

“On tonight’s show, the Muscles Duo will be in action against the team of Ghee
Buttersnaps and Ovaltine Jackson. Veronica ‘the Heat’ Flame will be in action
tonight against the woman who tried to take out the Dominion from inside…Korbi
Kong.”

Granger:
“Korbi is back in the fan’s good graces.
Many held out that it wasn’t for real.
Cara Loco is still looking for teammates to join him and Ashen Vicar in
the 10 man match at Warzone. Will he
find any takers?”

“Rick… I’m sure he will. Not everyone is
under Count Vlad and the Dark Dominion’s thumb.”

“Ashley Summers, accompanied by the ruthless Ruth Heartless, will take on Luna
Shadow. Ethan ‘Lightning’ Hayes, a
member of Thunder and Lightning and a man with one of the best singles records
around, will take on Owen Zestwell in a non-title match.”

“Owen wants as much air time as he can get.
His upcoming match with his brother Thaddeus in a career vs title match
will be one for the record books.”

“The main event features a rematch for the Hardcore title. The new champion ‘the Alaskan Wildman’ Jax
Brenner defends his title against the former champion and Hell’s Fang – the Moringstar.”

“A show is nothing without hearing what these performers have say so there will

“Count Vlad is sure to make his presence known so everyone needs to be prepared
for that. With this out of the way, our
show can start…NOW!”

Max McGillicutty makes his way out to the stage to a loud pop from the Columbia
crowd. Once they settled down, he had
something to say.

“Fans of HCW, welcome to tonight’s show.
I am not going to waste too much time here as we have a show to put on
for you. First, effective immediately,
Larry Morton is going to be the EXCLUSIVE backstage interviewer for Voltage.”
The
fans pop.
“Larry’s
show ‘The Morton Report’ will be exclusive to Voltage shows. Larry will be able
to use that time for interviews as he sees fit.
With that, Candace Hart will become the EXCLUSIVE backstage interviewer
for Live Wire and Ryan Mercer will keep her spot as the exclusive interviewer
for all Shockwave shows.”
The
fans pop again at the announcements. Max
finishes up.
“Last but certainly not least, Truth Wayne,
the man who stands by his show and the saying ‘The Truth Hurts’ will appear on
all 3 shows. With that, let’s get this
show on the road!” The fans pop one last
time before the entrances begin for our first match.
Music
hits as Ghee Buttersnaps and Ovaltine Jackson come out to a nice pop from the crowd. They shake hands with the fans as they make
their way to the ring. They climb in and
continue to get the crowd pumped up.
The
music changed and out comes the Muscles Trio – McGuire, Thorpe, and
Weasley. The three ran around on stage
like goofballs wearing their rainbow colored bull horns.
Muscles
Thorpe had his box of Booty-O’s cereal and went to give it to a fan only to
pull it away at the last minute generating heat for his team. He followed the Muscles Weasley and McGuire
to the ring only to be turned away by the referee. Thorpe stomped back up the ramp and got a
chair from the back and sat on stage, refusing to back behind the curtain.

Flame’s music hits and the crowd boos. Her manager Jilian Furnace follows her down to
the ring. It appears she may have something to say.

gets into the ring and grabs a mic.

“Shut up and sit down. You know, I keep
excelling and all I do is get pushed out of the way. Not anymore.
Right now, sitting atop this division, Scarlett Howl, someone who shows
up less than even Brock Lesnar, is your Ladies Champion. That is a bunch of bullshit. So she beat Selena…so what. If she were a real champion, she would defend
that title against the REAL number one contender…ME…at WARZONE! She doesn’t have the guts….”
Music
hits and the fans pop as the World Ladies Champion Scarlett Howl comes
out. The fans are excited to see the
champ tonight. Scarlett has a mic of her
own.

Howl:
“Someone out here is talking a big game.
Listen, I don’t hide from anyone and for THE record, I have defended
this title more than Brock has appearances.”
The fans pop at the jab. “If you
want the shot at Warzone, you GOT it.
But, if I know how to read a match line up, it seems you have a much bigger
fish to take on before you go jumping on the champ.”
Scarlett
steps aside and the music hits and the fans practically blow the roof off as
KORBI KONG SMASH echoes from the loudspeakers.
Korbi makes her way out and stops next to Scarlett. The two shake hands and Scarlett whispers
something to her and then leaves. Korbi
heads to the ring and Veronica is yelling at Julian who in turn is yelling at
the ref. Korbi enters the ring and
climbs the turnbuckle eliciting an even bigger pop. She steps down and smiles as Veronica glares
from across the ring. The bell rings and
this one is underway.

“Korbi may have gotten the win tonight but it will be Veronica Flame turning up
the HEAT on Scarlett. Time will tell who
survives and who…doesn’t.”
Just
as Korbi is making her way backstage, the camera man follows only to catch Mina
Harker attack Korbi beating her down after smashing her against the wall multiple
times. Mina is heard saying she was
going to put Korbi to pasture once and for all.
The
cameras cut to another part of backstage and we see Cara Loco walking around
looking for the right person to recruit for the 10 man battle vs the Dark
Dominion. He sees someone and makes a beeline for him. It’s none other than the HCW World Champion
Zack Brown.
Cara
Loco tells the champ that the need is dire and that he and Vicar need help in
defeating the Dark Dominion. Brown says
that the Dominion are out of control and he agrees to help. Cara Loco is ecstatic. 3 down, 2 to go. Cara Loco thanks the champ and turns to leave. Brown comments “Funny little fella” as he
watches Cara Loco skip away.

Shadow makes her way out first to a nice pop from the crowd. She shakes hands with the fans and climbs
into the ring. She continues to pump up
the crowd but once the music changes, the fans go all sour.

Summers, the Diamond of the Million Dollar Alliance and her manager Ruth
Heartless make their way out to massive booing from the crowd. Ruth sneers at
them telling the “peasants” to keep their grubby hands off the Diamond. This just incites the crowd all the more. Ruth whispers something to Ashley and the
Diamond enters the ring. After
introductions are done, the bell rings to start this one off.

The
Morningstar aka Hell’s Fang makes his way out alone; no Count Vlad, no Dark
Dominion. He is booed heavily as he
makes his way towards the ring. Tony’s
voice, normally rock solid, showed a slight trepidation as the Morningstar
enters the ring. The challenger is
introduced.
The
music changes and out comes the Hardcore Champion, the Alaskan Wildman Jax
Brenner. The fans pop as their favorite
Alaskan native makes his way out to the ring.
He clomps his way to the ring without his manger Molly Mason. This match may be a no DQ style match but the
referee is trying to keep everything on the level for as long as he could.
