Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. In an effort to get caught up on the shows, the results will be abbreviated.
Match
#1: Catalina Harper vs Derek Deveraux
for the Anytime/Anywhere title. This one
took place backstage with Deveraux trying to get in a cheap shot but the champ
held her own and ended up getting the win after hitting a jaw jacker. Catalina gets the win and retains the title.
Match
#2: Korbi Kong takes on Chloe Parker. The match remained neck and neck for the
majority of the match but in the end, Korbi tosses Chloe to the ropes and
delivers a huge powerslam to get the win at the 18 minute mark. Korbi gets on the mic and says only one word…”Soon”.
There
is an incident backstage where Tommy Lightning and Derek Deveraux attack the
Steel Curtain laying them out. Says that
they want a title match and are willing to put their careers on the line.
Match
#3: Next, we have our 3rd
qualifier match for the Elimination Chamber with Apollo Gyze taking on Casper
Wyoming. Apollo, still smarting from his
rematch loss for the crown against King Jack Lumber had him totally
distracted. Casper was able to take
advantage of it and connects with the 52 Pickup at the 18 minute mark to move
on to the Chamber.

#4: Our 4th qualifier match
has Dennis Marshall taking on ‘the Bounty Hunter’ Jake Montrose. This one ran a bit longer than the rest but
Dennis was in rare form and stayed one step ahead of the Bounty Hunter. Dennis picks up the win at the 20 minute mark
after nailing a top-rope legdrop (the same move that sent Dash Woodbrick
packing).
Match
#5: A special add on. The Wicked Prophet came out and was booed
mercilessly. He gets on the mic and says
he will continue to fight and rack up the wins until Jack Lumber finally
acknowledges him as the #1 contender.
Prophet calls out Billy Robbins to be his opponent tonight. Billy comes down and just as the bell rings,
Prophet immediately locks in the Crucifix Clutch and Billy surprisingly taps
right away. The Wicked Prophet gets the
win in under 30 seconds. Prophet takes
the mic and says “Jack, ACKNOWLEDGE ME”.
Backstage,
King Jack Lumber is watching the monitor and shakes his head. “Damn, that is impressive.” An interviewer walks up and asks for his
thoughts. “No one says the Wicked
Prophet isn’t a force to be reckoned with and this proves it. I’m not the one who makes those decisions but
if he continues on his winning streak, it would be safe to say we will meet
again.”
It’s
time for our 6th Match and our main event of the evening. The music starts and out comes Barry
Morningstar accompanied by his manager the Ambassador. They are booed as they head to the ring. Once in the ring, the Ambassador gets on the
mic. “Only one person has taken Jack
Lumber to the brink and LET him walk back…Barry Morningstar.” (the fans boo) “Only
one person who was not handed the title on a silver platter has ever given Jack
Lumber more than he can handle…Barry Morningstar.” (the booing
intensifies). “Only one man is going to
crush the dreams of every HCW superstar tonight…Barry” … (the booing drowns out
the rest). Next, over the loudspeakers
blares “Choppin’ Wood and Lookin’ Good” and out comes King Jack Lumber to a
deafening pop from the crowd. King Jack
comes out and stands on the stage and looks out at the audience. He nods to them and begins the walk to the
ring. He stops in front on the Lumber
Lounge and shakes hands with some of the fans before resuming his walk to the
ring. He gets into the ring and hands
his stuff to the ring attendant and waits for the bell to ring.

Lumber gets the win and retains due to outside interference from the
Ambassador. Barry tried to attack Jack
again but Jack quickly dispatched him.
He then went after the Ambassador but Barry made the save. The show comes to an end with Jack standing
tall while Barry and his manager made their way to the back.
