Hello fans and
welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. The show begins automatically with everyone’s
favorite soccer mom making her way out to a huge pop from the crowd. Violet Valkyrie is back. She gets on the mic and calls out the general
managers. Master Bull comes out. Violet says she knows exactly who attacked
her and demands to handle it on her own.
Bull asks Violet what she wants to do.
She responds saying she wants a steel cage match against her
attacker. Bull agreed immediately. Violet says she will announce who it was that
attacked her in the cage. She drops the
mic and walks to the back.
Pyro goes off and
our show officially begins. The first match on the show today is for the
Anytime/Anywhere title. The lights go
dim and then what appears to be a portal (lots of lights) brightens up the ring
and out comes the Masked Banana. The fans
pop for him. He jumps up and down as the
fans cheer him on. The ref asks “Where
the hell did you just come from?” MB
smiles at him and continues his psyching up of the fans. Next, the music changes and out comes the
Anytime/Anywhere Champion Col. Flagg.
The fans boo the crap out of him and he just smirks as he makes his way
down to the ring. He gets in the ring
and holds the title high. Flagg hit
Masked Banana with the title before the match began busting him open. He called
for the match to begin and started the beatdown on his opponent. Flagg pulled MB out of the ring and
repeatedly rammed MB’s back against the steel post. He eventually rolled him
back into the ring and followed him in.
He then locked in a backbreaker and trapped in the middle of the ring
with nowhere to go, he taps out. Flagg
drops him to the mat and stands up holding his arms up in victory. He then turns back to Banana and begins
stomping a mudhole in him. The ref pries
Flagg off and sends him out of the ring.
The fans boo Flagg as he makes his way to the back. The ref helps the Masked Banana to his feet
and helps him backstage. (6 min)
We cut backstage
where an altercation is taking place.
The Huber Clan is beating the crap out of the Muscles Trio. After pummeling the trio with steel chairs, enough
people got the chairs away from the Clan and separated them all. An ambulance was summoned. Someone muttered “what a mess”.
Next on the card
is the challenge for the #1 contender’s match for the TV title. First, the challenger Jack Lumber comes out
to a nice pop from the crowd. He
interacts with the fans and then enters the ring. He makes a chopping motion and the fans join
in. The music then changes and out comes
the #1 contender for the TV title. Buzz
Steel make his way out and the fans pop huge for him. He also interacts with the fans and enters
the ring. He climbs the second
turnbuckle and pumps his fists into the air.
He enters the ring and stands toe to toe with Jack. He extends his hand and Jack shakes it before
stepping back. The bell rings and this
one is underway. Control of the match
started with Lumber but then moved to Buzz after he hit Jack with the Buzz Cut. Jack would get control back after hitting
Buzz with the Axe. Just as he was going
to go for the pin, the TV Champion the Banker came out. He stood on the stage smirking. Jack stopped and jaw jacked with him. He turned around only for Buzz to try for a
slingshot suplex but Jack squirmed out of it and hit Buzz with a stiff
uppercut. He went for the pin and by
this time, the Banker was at ringside.
He hid on the side and waited for the 3 count to be made. Once the ref’s hand hit the mat for the 3rd
time, the bell rang giving the win and the #1 contendership to Jack
Lumber. The fans pop and Jack helps Buzz
to his feet but both get knocked down with the Banker sneaks in and hits them
both with the briefcase. Buzz falls out
of the ring. While Jack is down, the
Banker stomps him in the head and then picks him up before hitting a DDT on the
briefcase. Jack is busted open. The Banker stands tall over the bloodied
lumberjack and with the bloody briefcase held high, the Banker once again
sneers at Lumber. He then bolts out of
the ring as Starbuck Steel and the Masked Banana run down to check on their
respective teammates. Banana is
furious. He helps Jack to his feet
checking to see if he’s ok. Lumber
responds he is and they head to the back. (14 min for the match; 5 for the
aftermath.)
Backstage, Husky
Kahn says that he’s manipulated himself into a title match tonight for the
Hardcore title. Tonight, he takes the
belt and begins an all-new reign of terror.
We head back to
the ring for our next match. First, out
comes El Chango to a huge pop from the crowd.
He interacts with the fans before entering the ring. Once he was done psyching up the crowd, the
loudspeakers blare “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and out comes Apollo. The fans boo the crap out of him but he doesn’t
seem to care. He saunters down to the
ring and tells the ref to “shoo” El Chango to the other side of the ring. After complaining for a bit, he finally
enters the ring. El Chango starts to go
after him but Apollo halfway climbs out of the ring to prevent from being (in
his words) attacked. Finally the match
gets started. For 11 minutes, El Chango
held the advantage in the match. El
Chango locked in the Muta lock but Apollo struggled out of it nailing a gorilla
press drop moonsault. Apollo went for
the pin but El Chango kicked out at 2.
El Chango then locked in the Muta lock out of nowhere but Apollo made it
to the ropes to break the hold. Apollo
then hit El Chango with a low blow and then another gorilla press drop
moonsault. He went for the cover again
and with his feet on the ropes for leverage, he gets the 1-2-3. Apollo steals a win and gloats as his hand is
raised in victory. He rubs his eyes
mocking the fans who were crying that he won and he was really getting under
their skin until a tapping on his shoulder made him turn around. El Chango was standing right there and began
peppering him with lefts and rights and then hit the Diamond Dust. Apollo rolled out of the ring and the fans
laughed at him. El Chango left the ring
to great applause from the fans. After
he was gone, Apollo slunk to the back with fans mocking him all the way. (14 min)
Backstage, Violet
Valkyrie is in the GM office with Master Bull and Max McGillicutty. She says that her announcement later sets the
record straight. Max says that whomever
it is caused chaos by taking Violet out.
She responds and says “I’m not all that surprised. It was bound to happen however she is a
coward attacking me from behind.” Bull
says that once it’s revealed who it is, they will be promptly suspended. Violet shakes her head. “No, this one is all mine. I will handle this.” She then walks out of the office.
The next match is
already starting with Leslie Grimes pacing in the ring waiting for the match to
begin. Next, music changes and the fans
boo (and hiss) as Catalina Harper makes her way out. The fans boo as she walks by but she turns to
random fans and hisses at them. She gets
in the ring and the match begins almost immediately. Catalina held the advantage through the first
7 minutes of the match but after she missed a kneedrop to the arm of Leslie
(Leslie moved out of the way), the match then went in Leslie’s favor up until
the end. Catalina got in one solid shot
hitting the Cat’s Meow but otherwise, it was all Leslie. At the 18th minute of the match,
Leslie connected with a moonsault but she was slow to make the cover after
rolling off her. She struggled and
finally got an arm draped over Catalina and the ref counted 1…2…KICKOUT. Catalina kicked out at the last possible
second. Leslie then climbed back to the
top rope and went for another moonsault but Catalina got to her feet and pushed
her down to the mat. She then hit the
Cat’s Meow and made the cover hooking the leg to get the 1-2-3. Catalina gets the surprise win. The fans boo as she runs around the ring
cheering for herself. She then exits the
ring and runs to the back all the way cheering for herself. (19 min)
Hardcore Champion
Outback Oscar is backstage and he says that Husky Harris was a failure at sumo
and he’ll fail again tonight. He then
walks off.
Our Hardcore title
match is up next. First, music plays and
out comes Husky Harris. The fans boo him
as he heads down to the ring. He ignores
the fans and enters the ring. The music
changed and then the Hardcore Champion Outback Oscar comes out. After his last promo, he came off quite
heelish and that is unlike him so the fans didn’t exactly cheer him so they
were divided on their response to him.
He gets into the ring and holds the title high. He tells the ref that the rules for tonight’s
match will be ‘Boot Camp’ rules. The ref
calls for the bell and this one begins.
For the first 10 minutes, both competitors were pretty evenly
matched. Oscar grabbed a loaded boot and smashed it
into Husky’s midsection. Oscar then
dominated for the next 5 minutes. finally dropping Husky with a full nelson face
smash. He turned him over and hooked the
leg getting the 1-2-3. Oscar gets the win
and retains the title. Just as he’s
getting ready to leave, over the loudspeaker blares “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR
EVERYBODY” and out comes Dr. Red Fang accompanied by his manager the
Ambassador. The Ambassador calls Oscar a
coward for continuing to duck Fang and Oscar motions for Fang to come to the ring
and he rushes down. The two begin
fighting and have to be broken up by a bunch of backstage help. Oscar gets on the mic and says the belt will
be on the line anytime Fang wants to get his ass kicked, he’d be happy to
oblige. Everyone is separated and all
make their way to the back.
The steel cage is
lowered and hovers just above the ring. Then,
Violet Valkyrie comes out and powerwalks to the ring. She gets on the mic and calls out Hayley
Hailstone and Catalina Harper. The duo
come out and stand on the stage. Violet
says that they are the two most likely to have done the deed but it wasn’t them. Korbi Kong comes out but Violet says it
wasn’t her either. Maxine shows up
coping to it but Violet dismisses her claim.
Just then, as the cage is being lowered, someone sneaks into the ring
from the crowd. HOLY COW…it’s Tempest
Fortune. She attacks Violet beating her
down as the cage is lowered and secured to the ring. The bell rings. Tempest grabs a mic and says tonight she ends
the mythology that is Violet tonight or she quits.
