HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #649 – Phoenix Heat

https://hwfcswafantasy.blogspot.com

Hello fans and welcome back to our episode of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  Before the show can begin, there is commotion backstage and it appears that the Banker has once again attacked ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger.  The Banker took off as security closed in.  GM Master Bull ran over and after talking with an upset Winger, he decided to play it safe and remove Top Gun from the card tonight.  He says that Sonic Blade is in the house and he will wrestle tonight.  Winger said he could fight but Bull told him that things will work themselves out.  Winger is attended to by the medics and Master Bull takes off to his office.

With Winger off the card today, our revised line up looks like this:

Pyro goes off and the show begins.  Otto Ruthless comes out first and he’s almost booed out of the building.  Next, Sonic Blade comes out and the fans pop for him.  He makes his way down to the ring and this one begins right away.   It’s not quite a domination but Sonic easily controlled the match.   He stretched his muscles in this one and after hitting Otto with an atomic drop, he went for the cover and got the 3 count.  Sonic Blade wins this one solidly.  (13 min)  His celebration is cut short when Wilber Townsend runs in from the crowd and he and Sonic fight all the way to the back.

Back in his office, Master Bull says that the Iron Man match between Sonic Blade and Wilber Townsend will be one for the record books.  He knows the two of them will blow everyone’s mind and he knows it will set all kinds of records.   He seems pretty happy with his set up of this match.

Next on the card is a 6 man tag team match.  First, the Snake Pit (Leiton, Niven & Tobias Snake) comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, the 5th Column (Baron von Blood, Oswald Zimmerman & Karl Braun) come out and there is no mistaking who is more hated.  The Column get booed and that seems to irritate them all the more.  It didn’t matter how mad the Column got, they were just no match for the Pit.  Niven drives Oswald into the corner with a spear and then follows it up with a corner clothesline.  Niven shoves Oswald to the mat and covers him for the 1-2-3.  Niven gets the win for the pit.  Baron and Karl pull Oswald out of the ring and the three of them head to the back.  The Snake Pit stand in the center of the ring and put their fists together and then leave.  (8 min)

The Unknown Assassin and J C Dykes are backstage and they say that tonight, they will destroy the Crocodile Hunter and will take his contract.  When asked which title he’d cash it in if he wins, the Unknown Assassin (who rarely speaks) just says “the only one that matters” and he and Dykes walk off.

The next match is ready to go.  Former Ladies Champion Taylor Bella comes out with her manager Figaroa Newton and they are booed all the way to the ring.  Taylor gets a mic and tries to speak but the fans drown her out.  Figgy takes the mic and tells everyone to “SHUT UP!” but that only agitates them all the more.  She is challenging Felicia Cummings for her spot in the line up.  Felicia comes out and the fans pop for her even though she’s not exactly the most fan friendly either.  Taylor and Felicia traded owning the match but once Figgy started sticking his nose (and other foreign objects) into the match, the tide began to go Taylor’s way.  Taylor did try for multiple pin attempts but Felicia kept kicking out.  This went on for the entire match and Taylor began to panic as the seconds ran out.  In an act of desperation, Taylor hit a sunset flip but Felicia held on to the ropes.  Figgy then hit Felicia’s hands getting her to let go of the ropes and Taylor grabbed a handful of tights to secure the 3 count with seconds to spare.  Taylor gets the win and moves up in the rankings while Felicia falls off.  Taylor and Figgy celebrated as the fans booed.  They eventually left.  (19:56)

We are back in Max’s office again and he addresses the Ghouls vicious attack on the Tacoma GM Max McGillicutty.   He says that he will be meeting with the owners Mr. Bychowski and Mr. Meyers in the next couple of days to discuss how they want to handle the super show.

The next match is ready to go.  Outback Oscar comes out first and the crowd pops for him.  Next, Scooter J comes out and the crowd turns their noses up at him.  He takes offense and flips them off laughing at all the snooty, stuck up, half-wits.  He gets in the ring and also flips off Oscar before showboating on the turnbuckles.  Scooter J held the advantage for all about 3 minutes until the Axe came out.  Axe looked like he wanted to rush the ring and tear SJ’s head off but he went to sit at commentary.  Scooter J was totally off his game and Oscar took advantage of it.  12 minutes in, Oscar hits SJ with a spinning elbow drop and he makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Outback Oscar gets the win.  He looks at the Axe and nods and leaves the ring.  The Axe slowly makes his way into the ring.  Scooter J finally recovers and gets to his feet and he hears the fans pop.  He has a look of horror on his face.  He slowly turns around with his eyes wide open and he visibly gulps.  Axe begins to pepper him with lefts and rights and throws him to the ropes trying to hit the Axe but SJ grabs the ropes and slips out to avoid any further beat down.  He takes a breath but then freaks when Axe comes after him.  Axe chased SJ all the way to the back. These two will meet at the super show and there will be nowhere for either to go.

We head to the back where TV champion Texas Wildfire is being interviewed.  He says that he’s looking forward to all challenges and tonight is no exception.  He knows Reid Rothchild is a real badass and he is not underestimating him or his manager the Ambassador.  He says that if things stay on the up and up, they should have a great match with the best man winning.

Manager J C Dykes comes out first and the fans boo the loudest of the night.  The Unknown Assassin comes out and we’re proven wrong as the fans are even louder in this dislike of this duo.  They wait impatiently as security comes out and lines the ramp.  Dykes and UA make their way down and enter the ring.  Security leaves as the music changes and out comes the US Champion the Crocodile Hunter.   Croc comes out to a huge pop from the crowd carrying his briefcase containing his money in the bank shot.   Dykes hollers that the briefcase is coming to UA tonight.  Dykes made it a point to get involved often in this one and made sure to stay out of sight of the ref.  This allowed UA to stay a couple of steps ahead of the US champion.  UA stunned Croc after throwing some forearm shots against Croc’s eardrums.  Croc did manage to shake it off and hit a sherdrop brainbuster.  Both men needed a minute to continue.  Croc hit the ropes and Dykes tripped him.  He stumbled and UA blasted him with some karate chops.  The Unknown Assassin goes for the pin and (with Dykes holding his leg down out of sight of the ref) the 1-2-3.  Dykes runs over and grabs the briefcase.  Dykes says they will cash it in when they are good and ready.  They leave.  Croc eventually leaves also.  (18 min)

The camera pans upwards and we see Crow Phat Sol repelling his way down to the ring.  The fans pop for him.  He gets on the mic and tells the fans that he has been cleared for a return to the ring.  They pop even louder.  He takes a mic and calls out Dykes and the Unknown Assassin.  They come back out irritated that they have to come back out to the ungrateful fans.  He tells them that he has been cleared to come back and will be taking on UA at the super show on Sunday.  Dykes laughs and says “fat chance” but Phat produces a contract that shows the match is approved AND that briefcase will be on the line.  The fans pop and Dykes fumes.  He tells the Unknown Assassin to rush the ring which he does but Phat is hoisted back to the rafters.  UA kicks the ropes and shakes his fist but eventually leaves.

We go backstage where the Banker says that he’s fine with not being on the show having taken out Top Gun but the look of shock on his face when Winger walks up, bandaged, and says he’s taking the high road and will be 100% when they meet in 4 days.  Winger walks off and the Banker is speechless.

It’s time for the Main Event.  First, ½ of the World Tag Team Champions ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild comes out with his manager the Ambassador and they head to the ring to a pop from the crowd.  The music changes and out comes the TV Champion Texas Wildfire.  TW gets one of the loudest pops of the night.  He makes his way down to the ring, climbs each turnbuckle and then hands his title to the ref who holds it high.  Reid and TW shake hands and this one begins.  The match is controlled by the champ until the Ambassador used some peanuts to eye gouge TW. Reid questioned what his manager was doing. TW got a little more angry and almost lost it after he got trapped in the Figure Four Reid lock (Ambassador was pulling his arms for leverage) but TW finally made it to the ropes.  TW finally had enough and peppered Reid with rapid-fire punches and he rolled Reid up for the 1-2-3.  Texas Wildfire gets the win and there is a bit of tension between the two but they both shake hands and go their separate ways.  TW starts to make his way to the back but the Unknown Assassin comes out and stands in his way.  He holds up the briefcase and then points to TW’s title.  It looks like UA has chosen the title he wants to go after (IF he survives against Phat).

With that, the show comes to an end.

Editor’s note:  Master Bull met with the owners and it was decided that he would be the sole GM for both brands until Max is able to return to his duties.  Bull will be heading to the Super Show on Sunday and says he will have a message for Graham’s Ghouls once he returns to Phoenix.

Here is the lineup for the super show.  All matches will be specialty but some may not be disclosed until the show begins.
