Let the fun continue…
Jeff Meyers, Donnie B and William Regal came out and made an announcement concerning the future of their respective federations. Mr. Meyers started first. “I want to be the first to welcome all you fans back. We enjoyed our time off but now it is time to get back to work. First, I want to congratulate the new Tag Team Champions Super Warrior and MW3 for winning the gold on their first match back. Second, I want to welcome our new US Champion Abyss. Abyss will surely pick up where Edge left off and will bring a lot of excitement and energy. Probably the most important piece of information is regarding the ‘home’ for the CSWA. Donnie B and I have discussed this at length and brought our GM William Regal up to date with our plans. Effective August 1st, the CSWA headquarters will be permanently moved to ……Colorado Springs, Co. In what was a botched agreement from the start between the city of Colorado Springs and the US Olympic Committee, we have agreed to take over the building that was to be given to the USOC (USOC/City of COS is a real issue btw). We got a fabulous deal on rent so my executive staff and I will make that our home and will coordinate with Regal and Donnie B with any issues that need to be discussed.”
Donnie B took the mic next. “Thank You Jeff. I agree that the city of Colorado Springs is a great home for the CSWA. I wish you all the best of luck there. Maybe if the need for a staff increases, I’m sure there’s a great talent pool left behind when HP laid off its employees and moved out of the city.
On to other matters….The HWF inhereted Edge in the draft and with the departure of Abyss, Edge was given the IC title. We have worked with Edge many times in the past and we know he will bring challenges to all those he faces. We look forward to having Edge represent the IC title.
Our last PPV in May was Over the Edge. With the hiatus we took, we missed out on the Great American Bash and the Clash of the Champions PPV as well as the next Texas Holdem tournament. Well, we have news for all of you. August will be our SUPER month. We will have 3 PPV’s for this month and will include the Texas Holdem Tourney. To make things a little easier though, the poker tourney will actually take place in stages throughout the month. This will allow for a more reasonably paced tourney and give everyone a chance to have fun. We have just as much interest in this one as we did in the last couple so we are jumping right back in with all the particpants from the last tournament.
