[BACKSTAGE]

The crackle of candlelight flickers across the stone-textured walls of Count Vlad’s inner sanctum. Velvet curtains sway gently, despite the still air. An ornate black raven perched upon a bone pedestal lets out a low caw… just as a purple burst of smoke fills the room with a shriek of wind.

Grizelda appears—cloak tattered, eyes alight with unholy curiosity. Her presence is met with no surprise.

From the shadows, a massive figure steps into view—The Yeti.

Yeti (a low, rumbling chuckle):
“Been a long time, sister of the storm. I recall the chaos you created... in the North.”

Grizelda (smirking, voice laced with static and venom):
“And I remember the blood you tracked across the frozen tundra. Good to see you're still... monstrous.”

Footsteps echo as Count Vlad enters from behind a crimson drape, his hands clasped behind his back, a predator’s grin playing on his face.

Count Vlad (measured, amused):
“So... the Coven sends me a gift.”

Grizelda bows deeply—though not humbly.

Grizelda:
“I come not to join your Dominion, my lord. I come to learn… to sharpen the edges of my wrath. The Wicked Witch has seen in you a kindred darkness. She says you are the storm I must weather to become one myself.”

Count Vlad (tilting his head, voice like a blade drawn slowly):
“Ah… not seeking a throne, but a crucible.”

He steps closer, inspecting her.

Count Vlad:
“I have no need for sycophants. But I do enjoy… crafting chaos. And if the Witch believes your soul is still malleable… then who am I to deny her?”

Vlad walks past her, raising a single gloved finger.

Count Vlad:
“You will not be treated as family… but as a curse in progress. You will bleed in our shadows, learn beneath our cruelty, and if you survive… you will return to your Coven not only as Grizelda—but as something far more… grotesque.”

Grizelda (whispering, voice barely human):
“Then mold me, maestro. Let the Dominion mark me…”

Yeti (grinning):
“Just don’t expect mercy.”

The raven shrieks once more as Vlad turns, the camera panning up to his wicked smile.

Count Vlad:
“Then let your education begin… Miss Grizelda.”

Fade to black as sinister laughter echoes, joined faintly by the eerie hiss of boiling cauldron water… somewhere far to the north.

[Cameras cut live to a capacity crowd, roaring and holding up handmade signs: “LET FERAL LOOSE,” “WHITE FLAME RISING,” “BANNERMAN POWER,” and one simply reading “WHERE WAS JAX?”]

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter! We are LIVE and hotter than ever in Columbia, South Carolina—just weeks removed from the fallout of Meltdown, and the road to Reign of Champions is already searing with tension!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“And it’s about to explode, Mike! Rumors swirl—another NPCW vet was spotted backstage earlier today. We've got fire, fists, and a whole lotta freakin’ fury on deck tonight!”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“That's right, Johnny. The Wicked Prophet collides with Zack 'Commando' Brown in a battle that could rattle the heavens! Phoenix Blaze is in action, though she might have to keep her guard up—word is Grizelda of the Witches Coven may be lurking nearby…”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Not to mention the TV Title picture gets a shake-up when the powerhouse Biceps Bannerman goes one-on-one with the egotistical, golden-shoed trust fund terror The Rich Athlete, with Ruth Heartless no doubt scheming at ringside!”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“But all eyes are also on the newest storm in HCW—Feral. After weeks of haunting imagery and bone-chilling reveals, the Yeti has declared her ready. She makes her official in-ring debut tonight against one half of the Tinsel Twins—Sparkle—and from what we've heard, it won't be glitter and glam in that ring…”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“And speaking of chaos, the World Tag Team Titles are on the line as the eccentric underdogs Ghee Buttersnaps & Ovaltine Jackson challenge the Dark Dominion’s monstrous Nightstalkers. But let’s be honest, Mike… it’s not just the match we’re watching for—it’s what happens after.”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“We've received confirmation that the New Sicilians are lurking—and they want the belts. Whether it’s the Nightstalkers or Ghee & Ovaltine walking out with the gold, they may not be walking at all.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“And don’t forget—Scarlett Howl joins Truth Wayne later tonight on The Truth Hurts. That segment is bound to turn venomous.”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Plus… something strange is happening in HCW. Last week, we witnessed another mysterious interruption. White flame, a sigil, a whisper… something—or someone—is trying to reach through the flames”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“One thing’s for sure, Mike—Max McGillicutty isn’t liking it. And he’s already scheduled to meet with Count Vlad to get answers. Whether he gets ‘em? Well... that depends on how many steps ahead the Supreme Strategist is playing.”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Fists will fly, alliances will fracture, and judgment may fall from the heavens—welcome to HCW Live Wire!”

[Backstage – Shadows of the Dominion’s Hall]

The camera lingers down a long, stone-walled corridor dimly lit with cold blue torches. In the distance stands Count Vlad, arms behind his back, dressed in his long obsidian coat. His gaze is fixed on a steel monitor as muted footage of Feral’s past rampages flashes across the screen—her snarls, her strikes, her caged fury. Beside him, cloaked in steam and silent rage, stands the Yeti, towering and unblinking. Feral crouches in the background, twitching, her eyes flicking like a caged wolf sensing freedom.

The Yeti:
(Low, gravelly)
“She’s ready.”

Count Vlad:
(Without turning, voice smooth as poison wine)
“Are you certain, old friend? Readiness… is not just in strength. It is in restraint. Control. Knowing when to devour… and when to simply show your teeth.”

Feral lets out a short, unhuman hiss as her fingers twitch along the floor, tracing claw marks into the concrete.

The Yeti:
“She has tasted pain… obeyed in silence… hunted under shadow. She is mine, and I have molded her in your image. Let me guide her into the ring. Let her show what she’s become.”

Vlad turns slowly, finally meeting Yeti’s gaze. He approaches, stepping into the faint mist that always seems to cling to the Yeti’s presence.

Count Vlad:
(Softly, but with the gravity of a verdict)
“You want to be at her side? Then be the darkness she needs, not the beast she was.”

A tense beat. Then Vlad steps forward, placing a gloved hand on Yeti’s chest—firm, final.

Count Vlad:
“You have all the darkness in you, Yeti. More than enough… to be her mentor. I grant you this. Tonight, let the world witness the storm you have raised. But understand… her leash is yours to hold. If she slips that leash—you answer to me.”

Feral rises behind them, teeth bared in a quiet smile of anticipation. She says nothing. She doesn’t have to. The tremor in the walls says it for her.

The Yeti:
(Nods once)
“She won’t fail.”

Count Vlad:
(Turning back to the monitor)
“No. She won’t.  Also, for your match tonight, I have a matter that needs attending to.  Do you wish me to accompany you to the ring or do you want one of your Dominion brethren to join you?”

The Yeti:
“I will be fine.”

The screen flickers—Then static. Then black.

[Camera cuts to ringside. The lights glow hot pink and violet as the music hits.]

🎵 “Unbreakable Pulse” by Neon Revolt begins to blast through the arena.

Tony Calibur (in-ring announcer):
“The following contest is scheduled for one fall!”

A confident strut bursts through the curtain as Chloe Parker makes her way onto the stage, blowing a kiss toward the hard cam with a wink. Her glitter-laced jacket shimmers under the lights as she walks with effortless cool, twirling once before making her way to the ring.

Tony Calibur:
“Introducing first… from San Diego, California… weighing in at 128 pounds… she is the Neon Rebel… CHLOE PARKERRRR!”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Chloe Parker is no stranger to bright lights and big pressure, but she may be walking straight into the storm tonight, Johnny.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“She better hope that glitter blinds Feral, ‘cause if it doesn’t? This debut might end quicker than a TikTok clip.”

Chloe poses on the middle rope, arms outstretched, grinning confidently as her theme fades… and then—

The lights die.

A low, guttural hum rolls through the arena as white strobes flicker like lightning in slow motion. Smoke begins to pool along the ramp. The hum distorts into something… unnatural. Then—

🎵 “Echoes of the Cage” by Hollow Sanctum hits, a violent, bone-rattling ambient track layered with snarls and metallic clashes.

Through the fog, a massive silhouette appears—The Yeti. Stoic. Towering. At his feet… crawling on all fours, wild eyes locked forward… is Feral.

Tony Calibur (with slight hesitation):
“And her opponent… accompanied to the ring by The Yeti… from the blackest corners of the world… this… is… FERAAAAALLLL!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Okay, okay, I take it back—this is not a debut. This is a declaration. Look at her! LOOK AT HER, MIKE!”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Feral is off the leash, but Yeti is the one holding the chain. And if Count Vlad entrusted him to control her? That speaks volumes about what we’re about to witness.”

Feral slinks down the ramp like a predator stalking prey, occasionally snapping toward fans who lean too close to the barricade. The Yeti walks behind her, unblinking, like a grim sentinel. At ringside, Feral climbs onto the apron—clawed gloves dragging across the ropes—before flipping backward into the ring with shocking agility, landing on all fours, hissing at Chloe.

The crowd is buzzing, unsure whether to cheer, boo, or just brace themselves.

The moment the bell rang, Feral lunged like an unleashed beast, snapping across the ring with primal fury. But Chloe Parker, ever the scrappy neon-lit daredevil, wasn’t intimidated. The two collided in a flurry of momentum—Feral connecting with a flying bulldog, slamming Chloe to the canvas, only for Chloe to bounce back with a sudden double stomp to Feral’s chest, drawing gasps from the crowd.

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Chloe came to fight, Mike! I thought she was gonna be glitter dust in five seconds!”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“But she’s still standing—barely—and that may just be the biggest mistake she ever made.”

In the next exchange, Chloe rattled Feral with a pinpoint superkick, causing the wild one to stagger momentarily. Feral tried to retaliate with a wild charge, but Chloe had already ducked it and countered with a flash of offense.

Trying to break Chloe’s rhythm, Feral dove to the outside with a FURIOUS LUNGE, flattening Chloe in front of the commentary desk. The Yeti didn’t move—just watched. Measured. Studying. As Chloe crawled back into the ring at the referee’s count of five, Feral paced the apron like a predator denied a kill.

Inside the ropes again, Feral struck with another flying bulldog, but Chloe was resilient, landing another crisp superkick that echoed through the arena. Feral’s wildness was countered with precision, but she was learning fast—adapting in the chaos.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“She's not just a monster—she’s a weapon being forged in real time.”

Both women traded brutal signature strikes—Chloe hitting the Dusted Driver, Feral firing back with the FERAL FRENZY, a torrent of punches and low kicks that sent Chloe staggering into the ropes.

Then, like a primal scream incarnate, Feral exploded with yet another flying bulldog, knocking the wind out of her opponent. Chloe tried to mount one last suplex rally—but Feral bit down, figuratively and nearly literally, locking in the WILD CLAW—her grotesque mandible claw submission.

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Oh no, she’s got it locked! That’s not a submission—that’s a curse!”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Feral’s locked in the WILD CLAW! Chloe’s fading! She’s fading—SHE TAPS!”

DING DING DING!

Tony Calibur:
“Here is your winner… by submission… FERAAALLLL!”

The bell echoes as Feral refuses to release the hold for an extra beat, her eyes twitching, her teeth clenched. Finally, at the silent nod of The Yeti, she releases. Chloe crumbles. Feral paces the ring on all fours, snarling, clawing at the ropes like an animal locked in a cage made of victory.

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Do not take your eyes off her, Mike. She’s not a wrestler… she’s a warning.”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“And the message has been received: Feral is here. And she's not alone.”

Yeti raises Feral’s hand and the two leave without further incident.

[Backstage – Private Dominion Chamber]

The room is cast in deep shadows, lit only by a cold red chandelier above a long, blackened oak table. Velvet drapes seal off the sound of the outside world. Count Vlad stands near a tall mirror, adjusting the cufflinks of his charcoal coat—silver bat-shaped clasps glinting in the faint light. The mirror flickers briefly, a strange white pulse surging across its surface before settling.

A door creaks open, and in strides Max McGillicutty, looking sharp but visibly agitated. He doesn’t wait for an invitation.

Max McGillicutty:
“This white flame thing—whatever it is—it’s got people talking. Some are spooked. Some are curious. But none of them are focused. I need to know... is this going to be a problem?”

Vlad doesn’t look at Max at first. Instead, he tilts his head slightly, as if studying his own reflection through someone else’s eyes.

Count Vlad:
“Ah… the whisper in the flame. The little light in the dark. Yes… I’ve seen it.”

He finally turns, his expression unreadable—his voice calm, elegant, and patient.

Count Vlad:
“Max… you have built this house well. But even in a fortress, shadows stretch. The white flame… is not a threat. It is noise. Fleeting. A flicker, not a fire. And it will not impede our goals.”

Max narrows his eyes, not quite satisfied.

Max McGillicutty:
“I’ve worked too hard to get this far, Vlad. If something—or someone—is trying to worm their way in, I need to know we’re ready. I joined you to control and dominate, not to play second fiddle to a ghost story.”

Vlad steps forward, placing a firm but reassuring hand on Max’s shoulder. The gesture is friendly… but chillingly deliberate.

Count Vlad:
“I assure you… there are no ghosts in our house. Only guests. And unwanted guests can and WILL be… dealt with.”

A pause. Then Vlad steps past Max, the faint sound of boots on stone echoing behind him.

Count Vlad:
“Now then… if you’ll excuse me, I have a matter to attend.”

Vlad exits, his coat trailing like smoke, leaving Max alone with the mirror… where, just for a second, that strange white flicker pulses once more behind the glass.

[Lights shift to a bright, old-school spotlight as the fans begin to stir. Bluegrass-style rock kicks in, playful and upbeat.]

🎵 “Main Street Mayhem” by Biscuit Bullet Revival plays over the speakers.

Tony Calibur (in-ring announcer):
“The following contest is scheduled for one fall!”

The crowd pops big as the pride of small-town North Carolina steps through the curtain—O.P. Cunningham, grinning wide in his suspenders and brawling boots, waving proudly to the fans with a tip of his cap.

Tony Calibur:
“Introducing first… from Mayberry, North Carolina… weighing in at 239 pounds… he is the hometown hammer, O… P… CUNNINGHAMMMM!”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“This crowd loves O.P., Johnny. You’d think he was handing out sweet tea and apple pie on the way in.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Don’t let the charm fool you. The boy can throw hands. But he’s about to go from potluck to polar vortex, Mike.”

O.P. high-fives fans down the ramp, pointing to a sign that says “Mayberry Believes in O.P.” before hopping up onto the apron and pumping a fist in the air. The fans chant along: “O-P! O-P!”

Suddenly, the arena plunges into darkness.

[A deep rumble builds beneath the surface. A chilling wind sound rolls through the speakers like a blizzard descending.]

🎵 “Permafrost Requiem” by Tooth of Winter crashes through the sound system like an avalanche.

From the smoke-drenched entryway emerges a towering figure, cloaked in ragged furs, his breath visible in the suddenly frosted air. It’s The Yeti—his monstrous frame backlit by icy blue strobes. No Vlad. No theatrics. Just raw, terrifying presence.

Tony Calibur:
“And his opponent… from the frozen north… standing at 6 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 318 pounds… he is the TERROR… OF THE NORTHTHE YETIIIIIIII!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Ohhhh man, I got chills. And not from the A/C.”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“The Yeti walks alone tonight, Johnny, and that’s exactly how he likes it. No Vlad needed. No smoke and mirrors. Just brute, unrelenting dominance.”

The Yeti stomps to the ring with purpose, eyes locked on O.P., who shakes out his limbs and keeps his gaze steady—but there’s no hiding the tension in his jaw. The monster ascends the steps, pauses for one long, breathless moment, then steps over the ropes with terrifying ease.

The crowd buzzes, knowing they’re seconds away from a clash of polar opposites—small-town brawler vs. glacial force of destruction.

Match #2:  The Yeti vs O.P. Cunningham

A person in a garment in a boxing ring

Description automatically generated A cartoon of a person in a wrestling ring

The match began as a showcase of sheer will versus sheer size. O.P. Cunningham, fueled by Mayberry pride and an underdog’s heart, launched himself into battle with no hesitation. Trading shots immediately, he stunned the crowd by hitting an electric chair facebuster in the first exchange—but the Yeti barely budged, responding with a brutal bearhug that nearly crushed O.P.’s ribs in the first minute.

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“O.P. might’ve loosened a tooth with that one, but Yeti just tightened his grip and said, ‘Good morning, boy!’”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“You’ve gotta admire the guts of O.P. Cunningham. He knew what he was stepping into—and he still stepped forward.”

Chants of “O-P! O-P!” swelled through the arena as Cunningham rattled off a clothesline, an exploder suplex, and even an old-school Caterpillar Elbow Drop that brought the crowd to its feet. He nearly pulled off a surprise victory with a quick pin attempt, but Yeti kicked out at one—not with effort, but with disdain.

Back and forth they went—tombstone piledrivers, scoop slams, bearhugs, and a shockingly agile overhead belly-to-belly suplex from O.P.—but the Terror of the North absorbed it all like ice absorbing flame. Every time O.P. found momentum, Yeti slowed it with chilling precision: chinlocks, stomps to the face, and his blood-curdling Abominable Growl.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“There’s something about the way Yeti controls pace, Johnny. It’s not chaos—it’s methodical. Cold. Calculated.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“That’s not a man in there. That’s a glacier with fists.”

By the 20-minute mark, O.P. was still swinging—still trying—but the toll had been taken. Yeti’s final barrage came with a punishing headlock, followed by another Abominable Growl that left O.P. reeling. Then came the POWER SMASH—a devastating two-handed slam that drove Cunningham’s body into the mat with thunderous finality.

‘Honest’ Abe drops to the mat:

1... 2... 3!

Tony Calibur:
“Here is your winner… the TERROR OF THE NORTHTHE YETIIIIIIII!”

The bell sounds, but Yeti does not immediately rise. He looms over O.P. like a statue carved from frost, chest heaving, eyes blank. He then turns and calmly exits the ring—no theatrics, no celebration, just cold dominance.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Say what you want about his methods, but the Yeti just weathered a full-on fight from O.P. Cunningham—and left him frozen in the center of that ring.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Vlad didn’t even need to show up tonight. That monster doesn’t need orders. He’s already the avalanche.”

The camera fades in from black to the moody, candlelit expanse of Truth Wayne’s set—a darkly elegant chamber that looks more like an old-world study than a modern wrestling segment. Deep maroon drapes hang heavy over arched windows, while golden light flickers against paneled wood. At center stage sits the ornate Truth Hurts desk, with two regal leather chairs facing off like dueling thrones.

Already seated, legs crossed and expression smug, is Truth Wayne, dressed in a dark blood-red suit with a snakeskin tie, fingertips steepled as the camera closes in.

Truth Wayne:
“Welcome to The Truth Hurts—where fairy tales get buried under reality and your heroes come to weep. Tonight, we’ve got a real treat… a guest from the far north, clawing her way out of NPCW’s Hunter’s Enclave and into our little den of wolves.”

He leans forward slightly, the lights gleaming off his gold cufflinks.

Truth Wayne:
“Ladies and gentlemen… let’s give a cold and suspicious welcome to the winner of last week’s Women’s Battle Royal—Scarlett Howl.”

🎵 “Blood for the Moon” by Hollow Pretense swells as Scarlett Howl steps onto the raised platform from the side entrance. She’s in full Enclave regalia—black leather and crimson accents, with her long coat trailing behind her like a war banner. The audience buzzes behind the camera wall as she strides with focus toward the empty chair across from Truth.*

She sits, calmly. Doesn’t speak. Doesn’t smile.

Truth Wayne:
“Straight to business. I like that. You walked into our ring last week—uninvited, unannounced—and threw out a dozen of HCW’s best just to grab a contract. Not even a ‘hello’ first. So, let’s start simple: what makes you think HCW needs you?”

Scarlett Howl (level, quiet intensity):
“I’m not here because HCW needs me. I’m here because something is spreading—something wrong. The Yeti. That girl he brought in—Feral. We felt it all the way back home.”

Truth Wayne:
“‘We?’ Let me guess—the Enclave? That secret treehouse full of vampire hunters and magical weirdos? Come on, Scarlett. This isn’t a B-movie. This is HCW. You don’t sniff around the Dark Dominion and expect to come out without scars.”

Scarlett Howl:
“I’m not here to play detective. I’m here to hunt. And if something inside your locker room turns out to be what we suspect… then I’ll deal with it.”

Truth leans back in his chair, fingers tapping the armrest, then smirks like he’s cracked the code.

Truth Wayne:
“So it’s true—you’re here on assignment. You’re the ‘last hope’ of the Enclave?”

Scarlett Howl (narrowing her eyes):
“I’m not anyone’s last hope. I’m their sharpest edge.”

The crowd watching on monitors stirs. Truth rolls his eyes and stands, pacing slightly behind the desk.

Truth Wayne:
“Let me save you the pain of a long stay. Count Vlad already runs this place. Jax? Broken. Zack? Broken. And you—you’re a sideshow until someone in the Dominion decides you're a problem. Then you're just meat for the ritual.”

Scarlett Howl (standing slowly):
"You think I'm afraid of rituals? I was born under the light of the full moon.  A light that shines so bright it obliterates the darkness that would surround it."

A slow beat. She leans in just slightly over the table.

Scarlett Howl (coldly):
“I didn’t come here to talk. I came to finish what the Enclave started.”

Truth Wayne (grinning):
“Well then, sweetheart, you’re gonna fit in just fine… right before the Dominion chews you up.”

Scarlett gives him a measured glare, then exits the chair without another word. Her boots echo across the polished floor of the set as the camera tracks her exit down the crimson-lit hall behind the set.

Truth Wayne (calling out smugly):

“Don’t worry, we’ll keep your seat warm… and your tombstone carved.”

Fade to black with the Truth Hurts logo slowly burning into the screen.

[Backstage – After Max Leaves | Count Vlad Makes a Call]

The moment Max McGillicutty disappears down the corridor, the chamber is quiet again—eerily so. Count Vlad lingers in front of the mirror, eyes narrowing ever so slightly as that faint white flicker pulses across its surface.

With a slow, deliberate movement, Vlad produces an old silver calling card—etched with runes that glow faintly when exposed to light. He dials the number.

It rings once. Then again. A third time. Then—

???: (a low, static-laced voice)
“…I see the fire has brushed your doorstep.”

Count Vlad:
“Not brushed. Whispered.”

A long pause on the line. The voice returns, neither surprised nor alarmed.

???:
“Then it is closer than you thought.”

Count Vlad:
(smiling faintly)
“Nothing is ever closer than I think.”

A beat. Vlad steps toward the mirror as he speaks, watching that flicker once more.

Count Vlad:
“The Master of the White Flame stirs. His signals are clumsy but… poetic. Max asked questions. I gave him answers. Not the true ones, of course.”

???:
“Do you want him watched?”

Count Vlad:
“No. I want him welcomed. Let him shine. Let him burn. The best way to study fire… is in a dark room.”

???:
“And if the light spreads?”

Count Vlad:
“Then we simply make the shadows longer.”

He hangs up. The lights in the room dim further. Vlad adjusts his coat, smoothing the cuffs with practiced elegance. He glances once more at the mirror as that flicker vanishes… for now.

Count Vlad:
“Let the little flame dance.”

The faint glow of the sigil on the mirror fades. The old rotary phone clicks softly as Count Vlad hangs up. The chamber returns to silence—until the heavy sound of boots breaks it.

The door creaks open, and into the crimson-tinged room step The Yeti and Feral. Yeti’s towering frame glides with quiet authority, while Feral stays close behind him, tense and twitching, still charged from her debut. Vlad doesn’t flinch—he smiles like a spider sensing vibrations on its web.

Count Vlad:
(Turning slowly with open arms)
“Ah… the ice and the flame. My dark stars of tonight’s sky. How marvelous you both were.”

He clasps his hands behind his back and glides forward, stopping just shy of Feral, eyes gleaming with satisfaction.

Count Vlad:
“You—feral, wild, untamed—but not unshaped. You were not reckless. You were beautifully savage. And you—”

He turns to Yeti with a subtle nod of reverence.

Count Vlad (cont’d):
“—were the storm that held the leash without pulling it.”

The Yeti:
(Low, deliberate)
“Is everything… in order?”

A beat. Vlad tilts his head, the glint in his eyes sharpening—calculating, theatrical, amused.

Count Vlad:
“Oh… there are always whispers in the dark, my friend. Some reach through shadows… others try to call through flame.”

He steps between them now, speaking softly, deliberately.

Count Vlad (cont’d):
“If your… extraordinary talents are ever truly required beyond what tonight demanded… you will not need to ask. You will know.”

Yeti nods slowly, silently understanding. Feral sways slightly behind him, nostrils flaring, almost as if she’s already scented a trail Vlad has yet to name.

Count Vlad (final, with that sinister glint):
“Now go. Let the echoes of your victories stir fear in every corner of this company. Let them wonder what you’re truly capable of… and let them pray they never find out.”

Vlad turns back to the mirror just as another brief flicker of white light pulses across its surface—almost  mocking. He watches it… and smirks.

Yeti and Feral exit without another word. The camera lingers on Vlad’s reflection, the only thing left moving being the candlelight trembling in the breeze.

🎤 Match #3 – #1 Contender’s Match for the HCW Television Title

The Rich Athlete (w/ Ruth Heartless) vs. Biceps Bannerman

🎵 “Trust Fund Frenzy” by Golden Standard hits the speakers.

Boos cascade through the arena as The Rich Athlete steps out in a shimmering gold-and-white robe dripping with rhinestones and arrogance. His signature platinum trunks sparkle under the arena lights, and Ruth Heartless, decked in an all-black designer suit with diamond cuffs, follows close behind, smiling wickedly.

The Rich Athlete struts down the ramp with all the pomp of a one-man parade, brushing off fans, air-kissing his own reflection in the handheld mirror Ruth pulls out from her clutch. A few fans try to lean over the barricade to yell at him—he stops, smirks, and says:

The Rich Athlete:
“Hey, don’t get jealous just because I made more in a day than you did in your entire family line!”

The crowd boos louder as he rolls into the ring, drops to one knee, and spins with both arms raised high like a prize stallion at auction.

Tony Calibur:
“Introducing first… accompanied to the ring by Ruth Heartless… from Wall Street, New York… weighing in at 234 pounds… he is the self-proclaimed ‘Portfolio of Perfection’… THE RICH ATHLETE!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“He’s smug, he’s loaded, and he’s got just enough skill to back up every ounce of that mouth, Mike.”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“But if he wants a shot at Beastfang’s TV Title, he’s got to get through a man whose biceps have their own zip code.”

🎵 “Banners of Glory” by Iron Will Anthem suddenly hits—and the arena erupts.

Through the curtain marches Biceps Bannerman, fists clenched, veins pumped, flexing on cue to a thunderous ovation. He wears his military-inspired combat singlet with red, white, and blue trim. On his way down the ramp, he slaps hands with fans, flexes for a kid holding a “FLEX ‘EM FOR FREEDOM” sign, then points straight at the ring.

Tony Calibur:
“And his opponent… from Washington, D.C.… weighing in at 265 pounds… the Commander of Conditioning… BICEPS BANNERMAN!”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Listen to this place! Bannerman is fired up and ready to march straight into the heart of Dominion territory!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Yeah, well, Beastfang isn’t just going to roll over and hand over that title. Whoever wins this match tonight better be ready to deal with the most sadistic television champion we’ve ever had.”

Bannerman salutes the crowd, steps into the ring, and immediately rips off his entrance shirt, revealing his monstrous arms—which he flexes right in The Rich Athlete’s face. The Rich Athlete flinches, backs off… and Ruth Heartless quickly interjects with words of caution as the ref separates both men.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“One of these men is going on to face Beastfang—a monster in his own right and a proud member of the Dark Dominion. The question is—will it be the gold-blooded Rich Athlete… or the power-for-the-people Biceps Bannerman?”

From the moment the bell rang, the arena was electric—half of it fueled by boos for the egotistical Rich Athlete, the other half echoing chants of “FLEX! FLEX! FLEX!” in support of Biceps Bannerman. The match kicked off with brute power as Bannerman manhandled the smug mogul, tossing him out of the ring twice in the opening minutes, drawing cheers from the crowd and panic from Ruth Heartless at ringside.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Bannerman is tossing Rich Athlete around like a tax write-off!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“You can’t file a flex under ‘losses,’ Mike, but you can regret underestimating a man built like a national monument!”

Despite the early onslaught, The Rich Athlete rallied with sharp tactical strikes—Pectoral Chops, Million Dollar Kneedrops, and the signature Seven-Figure Suplex. Ruth Heartless interjected multiple times, spraying hairspray to blind Bannerman mid-match and pointing out weaknesses with flawless villainous poise.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“I’ve said it before—Ruth Heartless is more dangerous with a purse than half this roster with a steel chair.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“That’s what makes the Rich Athlete dangerous—he doesn’t just fight you, he finances your downfall.”

Each man earned near falls in the final stretch—Bannerman hit multiple Full Nelson Slams, Spinebusters, and had the Biceps Crunch locked in more than once, but Athlete refused to quit. In the closing seconds, the Rich Athlete countered with a desperate Seven-Figure Suplex, hooked the leg—

1! …

Bannerman kicks out!

DING DING DING!!

Tony Calibur:
“Ladies and gentlemen… the 30-minute time limit has expired. This match… is a DRAW!”

The crowd groans, clearly wanting a definitive winner. Both men lie in the ring, drenched in sweat, exhausted—but far from finished.

[Post-Match: GM Max McGillicutty Appears]

🎵 “Boss Level” by Executive Disorder hits—out comes General Manager Max McGillicutty, mic in hand, pacing with purpose on the stage.

Max McGillicutty:
“Now hold on a second… I just watched thirty minutes of two men trying to destroy each other to earn a shot at Beastfang and his Television Title.”

He pauses as the crowd chants “Let them fight!”

Max McGillicutty (cont’d):
“But I’ve got one problem—we still don’t know who gets fed to that monster at Reign of Champions. And I don’t do indecision.”

Crowd buzzes louder.

Max McGillicutty:
“So here’s what we’re gonna do. Next week—on HCW Live Wire—you two are going to do it again.”

Huge pop.

Max McGillicutty (raising his voice):
“But this time… NO disqualifications. NO time limit. You fight until there’s a winner. And whoever’s still standing at the end… gets the title shot at Reign of Champions!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Now that’s how you make a decision, Mike! That’s the match we need!”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Bannerman. Rich Athlete. No DQ. No time limit. And one of them is going on to face Beastfang. Tomorrow night just became must-see.”

Max drops the mic and walks off as the two men stare each other down from opposite corners. The stakes just got higher—and the war isn’t over.

[Mid-Show – Crowd Shot Transition Segment]

As the cameras pan across the raucous HCW crowd during a transitional moment between matches, they suddenly stop—zooming in on a fan holding a large cardboard sign with a printed flyer that reads:

A poster of a penguin

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson (amused):
“Uh… Johnny, are you seeing this? Someone out there’s looking for a penguin named Flippers.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris (chuckling):
“You sure we’re still on Earth, Mike? We’ve got white flaming fists, Enclave hunters, and now apparently—missing penguins. What’s next, a wrestling yeti? …Wait.”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“In all seriousness, folks, that little guy looks like he’s wandered far from home. Columbia’s hot enough it would melt his igloo.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Well, considering everything going on in this wild multiverse of madness, nothing’s off the table. Don’t forget—Negropolis and Madman Mason are the NPCW Tag Champs up north. The Misfits of Mayhem could’ve brought their chaos here without us even noticing.”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Remember that Madman Mason and Negropolis have seemingly dissolved any association with the Dark Dominion.  Vlad never forgives.  So if this Flippers fella is somehow caught up in the Dominion’s mess? Well, we might be staring at our strangest mystery yet.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Flippers, if you’re watching—we got eyes on you, buddy. Stay frosty.”

The shot lingers just a beat longer on the sign before cutting back to the ring as the next match gets ready to begin.

[Backstage – Interview Set with Candace Hart]

The camera cuts backstage to the glowing purple-and-gold “HCW Live Wire” interview backdrop. Standing by with her ever-composed professionalism is Candace Hart, microphone in hand. She offers a calm but focused smile to the camera before speaking.

Candace Hart:
“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time… a man whose actions at Meltdown raised more questions than answers… The Wicked Prophet.”

The crowd watching on the monitor boos as The Wicked Prophet steps slowly into frame. Cloaked in his midnight coat, hair damp, face painted with pale ritualistic streaks, he tilts his head with that ever-present half-smile. His eyes never land fully on Candace—only flick toward her like a passing shadow.

Candace Hart:
“Prophet, at Meltdown, you walked down to the ring during the HCW World Title main event and raised that steel chair. Some say you came to stop Jack Lumber. Others say you meant to hit Zack Brown. Either way—your actions cost Zack the championship. He’s demanded this match tonight. My question is simple…”

She leans in slightly.

Candace Hart (firmly):
“Was it an accident… or was it the plan?”

Prophet lets the silence hang just a little too long before responding. When he speaks, it’s in that hushed, lyrical tone—like a man reading scripture from a book only he understands.

The Wicked Prophet:
“There are no accidents in prophecy… only misinterpretations.”

He finally looks into the camera—straight through it, really.

The Wicked Prophet (cont’d):
“Zack Brown stood at the edge of the storm with fury in his chest and vengeance in his eyes. But he forgot the most sacred truth of all… storms don’t answer to soldiers.”

A faint shudder moves through him. Candace doesn’t interrupt.

The Wicked Prophet:
“Did I mean to hit him? No. I meant to reveal him. Zack—Commando—is a man of principle. Of purpose. But purpose without vision… leads only to pain.”

Candace Hart:
“Zack doesn’t want philosophy, Prophet. He wants a fight.”

The Wicked Prophet (smiling faintly):
“Then let him come. Let him march with flags and fury. Let him strike, and scream, and rage against the darkness. But when the last bell tolls, and the battlefield clears… he will see what I see.”

He leans in now, whispering close to the mic.

The Wicked Prophet:
“That Jack Lumber is not the one to worry about.  Worry about me.”

With that, Prophet turns and drifts out of frame like smoke through a broken chapel. Candace watches him go, holding the mic with a slight breathless pause.

Candace Hart (to camera):
“Zack Brown vs. The Wicked Prophet… and by the sound of it, this match is about a lot more than just revenge.”

Fade out.

“No Surrender, No Shame” by Empire Redcoat blares through the arena.

The crowd erupts in a chorus of boos as The British Crippler marches down the ramp, wearing her signature Union Jack trench coat and sneering at the crowd. She throws up a fist at a fan with a “Blaze the Sky!” sign and spits off to the side with visible contempt.

Tony Calibur (quickly):
“Introducing first… from Leeds, England… weighing in at 143 pounds… THE BRITISH CRIPPLERRRR!”

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“You know Johnny, every time Crippler walks through that curtain, it’s like she’s trying to pick a fight with the entire crowd.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“She doesn’t care if they hate her. That’s the point. The Crippler lives off anger—hers, yours, and Phoenix’s too.”

🎵 “Ashes on the Horizon” by Violet Halo cuts through the arena—and the crowd roars with excitement.

Through a blaze of orange pyros steps Phoenix Blaze, glowing in fire-toned gear, arms outstretched, eyes locked on the ring. She soaks in the crowd’s cheers for only a second—because she’s here to fight.

Tony Calibur (trying to keep up):
“And her opponent… from Palm Springs, California… PHOENI—”

Suddenly, the Crippler dives through the ropes, tackling Phoenix on the ramp before she can even step into the ring! The bell hasn’t rung—but fists are flying!

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“OH COME ON! The Crippler couldn’t wait even five seconds?!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“She saw a target and struck, Mike. That's what predators do!”

Referee ‘Honest’ Abe rushes down the ramp shouting for control, motioning to the timekeeper—but the fight has already begun!

Match #4:  Phoenix Blaze vs The British Crippler.

The match was set to begin as soon as Phoenix Blaze entered the ring—but The British Crippler had no interest in waiting. She charged across the ring, blindsiding Phoenix with a stiff clothesline before the bell even rang. The official signaled for the start, but the damage had already begun.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“She jumped her before Tony could finish the intro! And you wonder why the crowd despises her!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Crippler doesn’t need applause—she needs impact. And she just made a statement.”

Early on, The Crippler controlled the pace with snap suplexes and bodyslams, keeping Phoenix grounded. But Blaze refused to stay down, fighting back with dynamic aerial strikes and signature three-kick combos, each one striking with precision and fire. Still, every burst of momentum was answered—Crippler repeatedly cutting her down with Michinoku Drivers, rear naked chokes, and nearly scoring a few close falls.

Despite absorbing punishing slams, Phoenix dug deep. Midway through the match, she turned the tide with a Double Underhook Suplex, showing off both grit and raw strength. The crowd began rallying behind her, chanting “LET HER BURN!” as she built momentum with a series of explosive counters and fallaway slams.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Phoenix Blaze just won’t quit! Every time the Crippler thinks she’s got it locked—Blaze rises again!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“She’s one of the toughest in the division, but she’s gotta land something big—fast!”

In the final exchange, Crippler went for another bodyslam, but Phoenix slipped out, spun her around, and planted her with a devastating Falcon Arrow!

‘Honest’ Abe slides in for the count:

1... 2... 3!

Tony Calibur:
“Here is your winner… PHOENIX BLAAAAAZE!”

The crowd roared as Phoenix rose to her feet, clutching her ribs but holding her arms high. But just as she

turned to soak in the moment—

[Grizelda Arrives]

The lights flickered—and a chilling, cackling melody echoed through the speakers. Out from the curtain emerged Grizelda of the Witches Coven, her pale smile twisted with delight, her attire a mix of ragged velvet and swirling smoke. No Count Vlad—just Grizelda, guided by his will.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Oh no—what is she doing here?!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Word was she came to study… but that doesn’t look like a scholar’s walk, Mike. That’s a hunter’s approach.”

Phoenix turned just in time to be tackled to the mat, fists flying as Grizelda clawed at her with frenzied strikes. Phoenix fought back—blazing fists and kicks lighting up the screen as the two women brawled across the ring!

Security flooded the scene, struggling to pull them apart—Grizelda laughing all the while as she was dragged back up the ramp. Her eyes never left Phoenix. She smiled, mouthed something inaudible… and vanished behind the curtain.

Phoenix stood center ring, panting, arms shaking with adrenaline. Her eyes burned with fury—not confusion.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Phoenix Blaze just survived a war—and then got jumped by a Coven emissary! This wasn’t about scouting. This was a message from Count Vlad!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“If that was a message, Mike… I don’t think Phoenix is planning to send a thank-you card.”

Phoenix slowly exited the ring, refusing help, her expression unreadable—but one thing was clear: war was coming.

[Backstage – Interview Set with Candace Hart]

The camera cuts to the interview area again—Candace Hart standing by with microphone in hand. Her tone is more serious now, the energy heavier after Prophet’s earlier cryptic comments.

Candace Hart:
“Earlier tonight, the Wicked Prophet claimed his actions at Meltdown weren’t accidents, but revelations. And he insisted that Jack Lumber was never the enemy. My guest now sees things very differently—please welcome Zack 'Commando' Brown.”

Zack Brown steps into frame, already in ring gear, fists taped tight. He’s breathing through his nose like a man caging a storm, jaw set, his eyes locked on Candace—but they burn with purpose.

Candace Hart:
“Zack, you asked for this match tonight. What do you want out of this—answers… or retribution?”

Zack Brown (calm but intense):
“What I want, Candace, is to look Prophet in the eye and make sure he feels every ounce of the pain he caused. I don’t care if he meant to hit me or not. I don’t care if he thinks he was ‘revealing’ something. At Meltdown, I was this close to reclaiming what Jack Lumber stole—and Prophet stole it all over again.”

He takes a slow breath, tapping his taped knuckles together as he talks.

Zack Brown (cont’d):
“I don’t speak in riddles. I don’t hide behind shadows. I walk into battle with my head high and my fists ready. Prophet can quote whatever ghost story he wants—but tonight, I’m not coming for understanding. I’m coming to shut him up.”

He turns fully to the camera now, gaze unwavering.

Zack Brown:
“You wanna talk about enemies, Prophet? You wanna act like Jack Lumber was never my foe? Maybe you’re right. Because starting tonight—you just became number one on the list.”

He stares for another beat—then walks off without waiting for another question, leaving Candace staring after him.

Candace Hart (softly):
“There will be no prophecy tonight… just a reckoning.”

Fade out.

🎵 “The Bones Beneath” by Choir of the Abyss floods the arena.

The lights flicker into a sickly violet hue as a somber chanting chorus echoes through the sound system. Smoke crawls along the stage. Through it emerges The Wicked Prophet, arms stretched outward, head bowed like a martyr, his painted face expressionless. Draped in a tattered preacher’s coat, he walks slowly—deliberately—as if each step is weighed down by invisible scripture.

Tony Calibur (grim tone):
“Introducing first… from the Forgotten Valley… weighing in at 218 pounds… he is the Harbinger of Shadows… THE WICKED PROPHET!”

Prophet slides into the ring, crawls to the center, and kneels—arms out again—before slowly rising to his feet, eyes never once blinking as he stares down the ramp. He awaits his opponent like a man awaiting judgment.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“If Prophet wanted to provoke Zack Brown, mission accomplished. The only question is whether he’ll survive what he stirred up.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“And if he did do it on purpose, Mike? Then we’re looking at the most manipulative mind in HCW.”

🎵 “Shockwave Protocol” by Iron Honor Division rips through the arena like a thunderclap.

The fans rise as Zack 'Commando' Brown explodes onto the stage, military vest zipped halfway down, fists clenched, head low. The red, white, and silver of his gear gleam under the lights. He doesn’t salute. He doesn’t pose. He just marches—his eyes locked on the ring like a heat-seeking missile.

Tony Calibur:
“And his opponent… from Fort Bragg, North Carolina… weighing in at 246 pounds… he is the Commando of the HCW battlefield… ZACK ‘COMMANDO’ BROWN!”

Zack hits the steps hard, ducking through the ropes and heading straight to the center of the ring—nose-to-nose with Prophet before the ref can even raise a hand. The energy is volatile, the fans roaring for something—anything—to break the tension.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Zack Brown’s not here to fight a match—he’s here to settle a debt.”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“Bell hasn’t even rung, and I’ve got goosebumps. Let’s get it on!”

Referee ‘Honest’ Abe cautiously steps between them… and calls for the bell.

DING DING DING!

Match #5: Zack Brown vs the Wicked Prophet

This wasn’t a match—it was a storm. From the opening bell, Zack Brown came at The Wicked Prophet with the fury of a man wronged, cracking him early with a Paratrooper Plunge that nearly turned Prophet inside out. The Prophet, however, weathered the storm, responding with twisted precision, landing FIRE – WALK WITH ME to halt Zack’s momentum.

Each time Prophet would string together damage—Baptism of Fire, Baphomet Bruiser, The Crucifix Clutch—Zack answered with that relentless drive and stiff Lawman Lariats that echoed through the arena like gunfire. The pace never slowed. The moves got stiffer, more punishing. And through it all, the fans were electric, torn between cheering Zack’s raw power and gasping at Prophet’s terrifying resolve.

By the 18-minute mark, both men had soaked up enough punishment to drop lesser stars for a week. Prophet clawed into his ritualistic depths with a Devil’s Snare, only for Zack to Powerbomb him halfway across the ring. They rose—swinging, staggering, daring the other to fall.

Then it happened.

CRACK.

The sound of an ax handle smashing bone.

Jack ‘Timberfang’ Lumber stormed the ring, World Title around his waist, dead-eyed and vengeful. He leveled Zack with a running boot to the side of the head, then spun Prophet around and flattened him with a one-armed Spinebuster that rattled the canvas.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“What the hell is this?! The World Champion is attacking both men?!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“He’s cleaning house, Mike! One might’ve taken his title—one almost did—and Jack Lumber says 'not today!'”

‘Honest’ Abe calls for the bell, but Jack isn’t done. He stands over both fallen bodies, slowly unstrapping his belt and raising it high, sweat glistening on his brow as he stares down at the wreckage.

Jack 'Timberfang' Lumber (with a wicked grin):
“Let’s make it simple. You two think you’re tough? You two want this?” (He holds the HCW World Title aloft) “Then come get it. Triple Threat at Reign of Champions. I’ll stack you both and walk out with my belt. If I can eliminate both these schmucks in one match?” (He spits to the side) “I’m all for it.”

The crowd roars at the announcement, stunned by the champ’s challenge.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“He just threw down the gauntlet! Jack Lumber wants to finish this all at once—no more stalking, no more sabotage!”

Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris:
“He’s not just surviving the Dark Dominion era—he’s swinging his axe at every challenger in sight!”

As security rushes to separate the three, Zack is seen crawling to the ropes, eyes blazing with fury. Prophet, slumped against the bottom turnbuckle, simply laughs—low, breathy, and unholy—as Jack hoists the belt one more time.

Mike 'the Voice' Johnson:
“Reign of Champions just got its main event… and it’s going to be an absolute war.”

[Fade to black before transition to the main event segment.]

[Backstage – HCW Interview Zone]

The camera opens on Candace Hart, standing with mic in hand before the towering shadows of Bloodfang and Shadowfang, their black and crimson leather entrance gear still glistening under the light. Between them stands Count Vlad, sharp as ever in a jet-black velvet coat, eyes gleaming with sinister confidence.

Candace Hart:
“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here with Count Vlad and the reigning World Tag Team Champions—the Nightstalkers. In just a few minutes, they defend their titles against Ghee Buttersnaps and Ovaltine Jackson, a team many believe has the heart and spirit to finally challenge the Dominion’s grip on the gold.”

Vlad steps forward, smiling slowly.

Count Vlad:
“Heart and spirit. Pah. Miss Hart, do you know what ‘heart’ gets you in this world? Broken ribs. Bruised egos. Empty hands where gold should be.”

He gestures toward the belts on Bloodfang and Shadowfang’s shoulders.

Count Vlad:
“These two monsters do not trade in hope. They traffic in obliteration. Ghee and Ovaltine are—how do you say?—adorable. Yes. Like birthday clowns… who wandered into a graveyard.”

Candace Hart:
“There’s been speculation that after Meltdown, you’d rotate new members into the title scene. Was it always the plan to keep the Nightstalkers in this role tonight?”

Count Vlad (grinning coldly):
“Plans? Ah, Miss Hart, the only plan that matters is my plan. And it is always... perfect. The Nightstalkers will not merely defend tonight. They will remind the world that we do not fear challengers—we feed on them.”

He leans in slightly, voice lower, more pointed.

Count Vlad:
“But let me ask you a question, Candace… Where was Bubba Jaxie?”

Candace’s eyes narrow slightly, caught off guard.

Candace Hart:
“Excuse me?”

Count Vlad:
“Oh, you heard me. Where… was… Bubba Jaxie? Hmm?”

He glances between the camera and Candace.

“The man who once howled against monsters has gone silent. Funny, isn’t it? Perhaps his leash is finally tight enough. Or maybe… just maybe… he knows what waits if he dares defy us again.”

Shadowfang lets out a low, guttural growl. Bloodfang stares into the lens like a wolf scenting blood in the wind.

Count Vlad (smoothing his lapel):
“Tonight, Ghee and Ovaltine dance beneath the moonlight. But when the howling starts… it is always the Nightstalkers who feast.”

He steps aside with a theatrical flourish. Bloodfang snarls and smashes a fist against his chest. Shadowfang whispers something indecipherable and hisses before following Vlad off-screen.

Candace Hart (quietly):
“…Back to you.”

Tony Calibur (in-ring):
“The following contest is scheduled for one fall… and it is for the HCW World Tag Team Championship!”

The arena lights pulse to a funky bass rhythm as “Feel the Flavor” by Chocolate Rocket” hits. A massive pop from the crowd explodes as Ghee Buttersnaps bursts onto the stage in a sequin robe covered in rainbow sprinkles, dancing his way to the ramp. Moments later, Ovaltine Jackson emerges behind him in his classic powdered-blue tracksuit and gold-rimmed sunglasses, grooving with swagger.

Tony Calibur:
“Introducing the challengers… at a combined weight of four-hundred seventy-six pounds… Ghee Buttersnaps and Ovaltine Jackson… THE FLAVOR BOMB!

Ghee slides into the ring and hits a pose on the middle rope, tossing glitter confetti into the air. Ovaltine strolls up the steel steps and leans casually against the turnbuckle, eyeing the entrance with focus beneath his sunglasses. The music fades… and is quickly replaced by darkness.

Suddenly, a thunderous gong echoes. Smoke spills from the stage as red floodlights strobe in time with the pounding drums of “Ritual of the Hollow Moon” by Nocturne Spire. Emerging from the crimson haze, the towering figures of Bloodfang and Shadowfang appear. They stand like statues—silent, unblinking—until Count Vlad slowly walks out between them, hands behind his back, smiling like a funeral director at a fire sale.

Tony Calibur:
“And their opponents… accompanied by Count Vlad… at a combined weight of five-hundred seventeen pounds… they are the reigning and defending HCW World Tag Team ChampionsBLOODFANGSHADOWFANGTHE NIGHTSTALKERS!

The champions step forward in perfect, synchronized motion, their eyes locked on the ring like predators stalking prey. Vlad raises a single hand, and the lights flicker briefly as the trio descends down the ramp. Bloodfang carries one belt over his shoulder like a war trophy; Shadowfang drags his along the floor like it’s been soaked in ash.

As they reach ringside, Vlad ascends the steel steps and gently holds the ropes open for his monsters. The Nightstalkers enter like wraiths—slow and deliberate, stalking past Ghee and Ovaltine without a word.

The referee, “Honest” Abe, holds up the gold. The crowd rises to their feet. The storm is about to break.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
"Main event time! The champs are in a foul mood—when are they not? But if anyone can flip the script, it’s Ghee and Ovaltine."

Johnny ‘The Hammer’ Harris:
"Only thing getting flipped tonight is Ghee on his neck. These are the Nightstalkers, Mike—they live for nights like this."

The bell rang—but not before Shadowfang launched himself across the ring with a brutal knee strike that staggered Ghee and set the tone. Ghee retaliated with an armbar, but Shadowfang rolled into a Transylvania Suplex that bounced Ghee’s body off the canvas like a ragdoll.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
"This is high-octane and high-risk already—and we just got started!"

Bloodfang took over and tangled Ghee in an armbar, but the charismatic grappler broke free with a textbook back body drop, fighting toward his corner. Finally, he dove for the tag—and in came Ovaltine Jackson!

Ovaltine lit the ring up with a Sitout Rear Mat Slam, but Count Vlad climbed the apron and taunted him, giving Shadowfang a window to tag back in. Moments later, Jackson nailed a spinebuster and then reversed a double team attack with a gorgeous Curtain Call Inverted DDT, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Johnny ‘The Hammer’ Harris:
"Don’t look now, but Ovaltine’s pouring it on thick!"

But Vlad wasn’t finished. As Bloodfang re-entered, Vlad grabbed Jackson’s leg—just long enough to let Viktor blindside him. With Ovaltine now reeling, Shadowfang tagged in and unleashed a flying headbutt followed by a thunderous pumphandle slam.

Then—it happened.

Just as Shadowfang stood over Ovaltine, preparing to end it, the arena lights flickered violently. The screens and lights glitched, then froze in a static-filled white glow.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
"Wait a second—what is this?!"

The lights flickered. The screens pulsed with static. Then—a burning white fist appeared on the Omegatron.

Open photo

A chilling voice echoed across the arena:

The Voice:
"Your grip tightens… but rot festers in the marrow. Even iron crumbles from within."

And just like that, the lights snapped back.

Mike Johnson:
"There it is again—the White Fist! A warning? A promise? Or something worse?"

Count Vlad contemplated with curious suspicion.

Shadowfang, unfazed, capitalized on the distraction. He crushed Ovaltine with a Flying Headbutt Drop, followed by a Pumphandle Slam, and went for the pin.

1… 2… 3.

The Nightstalkers retained.

But before the champs could even breathe, the crowd erupted as the New SiciliansDirty Dick Albano and Vicious Vinnie Albano—stormed the ring with steel chairs and fists flying. Pierre Boulay trailed close behind, barking orders with a twisted grin. They jumped the champions in a chaotic post-match ambush.

All emerged from opposite ends of the ramp, surrounding the ring like phantoms of the abyss.

Mike Johnson:
"Oh boy. Ohhhh boy. That’s not help coming—that’s the whole damn forest closing in."

The Sicilians, seeing they were outnumbered, bailed with Boulay screaming for them to retreat. The Dark Dominion stood tall—titles in hand, eyes burning. The Sicilians, retreating up the ramp, made their message clear: they want gold. Whether it’s accepted or not… the challenge was declared.

Pierre Boulay (grabbing a mic at the top of the ramp, sneering):
“Hey Vlad! Tell your bloodsuckers they just got served their eviction notice. We ain’t waitin’ any longer—we want the belts!”

[Count Vlad, flanked by Beastfang, Terror Fang and Jack ‘Timberfang’ Lumber —emerge from behind the ring to stand at the bottom of the ramp.  The fans are electric with anticipation.]

Count Vlad (smirking coldly):
“Ah, Pierre. So quick to bark… so eager to grovel at the gates of greatness. You want a match tomorrow?”

(He lifts a single gloved finger.)

“You shall have one.”

Pierre Boulay (grinning):
“Good! You hear that, boys?! Title shot—tomorrow night!”

Count Vlad (voice darkening):
“...Ah. No.”

(He steps closer to the ramp, eyes locked like a viper.)

“You do not get the Nightstalkers. You get… Beastfang. And Terror Fang.”

[Crowd pops as the monstrous duo behind Vlad step forward.]

Count Vlad (cold and deliberate):
“Consider it… a lesson in pain. One you clearly did not learn tonight.”

[Boulay’s face falls, the New Sicilians looking less confident as Vlad’s wolves circle. The camera cuts to the champs recovering, then slowly pans toward the commentary desk.]

Mike Johnson:
“Well folks… the Nightstalkers walk away with the gold again, but something—someone—is casting a new light over HCW. And it’s white-hot.”

Johnny Harris:
“And if I were Count Vlad? I’d be rethinking my dominance… because someone out there doesn’t fear the dark.”

Mike Johnson:
