Hello wrestling fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. Not only are we getting ready to kick off Day 3 of our Critical Mass PPV but we are closing in on the biggest milestone this writer has ever accomplished…1000 documented episodes of fantasy wrestling writing. That accolade comes with tomorrows issue but today, we have a lot more to get to. In a special challenge match, Blake Hill is taking on Chic Monroe. Azrael w/the Ambassador will take on Adam Jameson. The 5th Column were supposed to take on the Conquistadors however their contract actually expired 2 days ago and they opted not to renew. It is undetermined at this moment who they will face. We will see a triple threat match between Apollo Gyze, Noah Murphy and Joe Sanders. The Hardcore title will be on the line when Mr. X takes on ‘the Alaskan Wildman’ Jax Brenner. The main event will see the Ladies Champion Luciana Albano takes on her #1 challenger Korbi Kong. Korbi will have Hall of Famer Violet Valkyrie in her corner.
The
fan who got stuck behind the pillar at yesterday’s event caught the attention
of GM Max McGillicutty and Max got him a ring side seat.
GM
Max McGillicutty comes out to kick off the show. He tells us that so far, Critical Mass 2024
has broken every attendance record ever in the US. He knows tonight and tomorrow will only bring
more awareness to HCW as a premier wrestling league. He thanks the fans once again and says that with
their support, HCW will continue to dominate the airwaves. He then leaves so the show can kick off.
Match #1: Blake ‘Oak Tree’ Hill vs Superstar Chic
Monroe
This
match came about after Monroe insulted Hill about his eating habits. The Superstar comes out first to massive boos
from the crowd. He ignores them and
makes his way to the ring. He climbs the
steel steps and enters through the ropes.
He climbs the turnbuckle and extends his arms which only makes the crowd
respond negatively. Blake’s music hits
and the fans pop as he makes his way to the ring high-fiving with the
fans. He tries to enter under the bottom
rope but Monroe begins stomping on him before he can ever get his jacket
off. Finally, the bell rings and this
one gets started. The match was pretty
much even for the entire bout with neither man getting much of a leg up over
the other. We jump to the 18th
minute where just moments before, Hill went for a leg drop but Monroe got out
of the way.

Chic Monroe gets the win and the fans are not happy. Blake tried to complain to the ref but the
ref wouldn’t take action. Monroe began
mouthing off to Hill who just about had enough and grabbed Chic hurling him
over the top rope. The fans pop for
Blake Hill. Chic makes his way up the
ramp grumbling and may be plotting some sort of retaliation. Blake made his way to the back.
Match #2: Azrael w/ the Ambassador vs Adam Jameson
Our
next match is ready to get underway with Adam Jameson making his way out to the
ring. Jameson has been on fire as of
late and looks to continue his winning streak.
He gets into the ring and motions for his opponent to come out. The music changed and out comes the
Ambassador first followed by Azrael. The
duo are booed as they head to the ring.
Azrael gets right in and demands the match begin immediately. Unlike the last match being as close as it
was, Azrael dominated this one totally owning AJ. Azrael kept trying for a pin but AJ kept
kicking out. We jump to the 21st
minute of the match.

Column vs ???
The 5th
Column (Baron von Blood and Oswald Zimmerman) came out and stormed to the ring
amid the booing from the fans. They
reciprocated in kind but used much more colorful language. Baron gets on the mic and lambasts GM Max
McGillicutty for letting their opponents just leave and not have an immediate
replacement for them. Oswald then
leaves the ring and begins jaw jacking with two fans at ringside. The two people are actually newcomers to HCW The
Dynamic Duo - Mike "the Rebel"
Matthews and Chris "Thunderstrike" Thompson tell Oswald that if they
want a match tonight, they’d be happy to oblige since they are under contract
anyway. Mike and Chris hop the barrier
and get on the ring apron. They look
like they are ready to accept the challenge.
The match began with the 5th Column double teaming
Mike but he ends up battling back. At
the 5 minute mark, Mike throws Baron out of the ring. He contemplates leaving but then rolls back
in at the 7 count. Finally at the 10
minute mark, Mike makes the hot tag to Chris and the fans pop. Oswald is tagged in a minute later and Chris
controls the match. We now join the
match at the 15 minute mark.

‘The
Alaskan Wildman’ Jax Brenner is with his valet Molly Mason backstage. Jax says that tonight, he will break Mr. X in
half and will take the Hardcore title.
He promises to put Extreme back into Hardcore.
Our
next match came about after an altercation on Day 1 after the memorial battle
royal. Apollo was picking a fight with
whomever he could and that led to this next match.

Gyze vs Noah ‘High Flyer’ Murphy vs Joe Sanders
Joe
‘Jack Hammer’ Sanders came out first to a decent pop as did Noah ‘High Flyer’
Murphy but when the loudspeakers blared out “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” the
fans turned their disdain to Apollo.
Quite a few fans chanted ‘You tapped out’ just to get under his skin
(which it did) and they laughed at him when he couldn’t come up with a viable
response. The match got right underway
(that in once Apollo got in the ring…he took FOREVER). Apollo controlled the match for the first 12
minutes but then Noah took over. Both
men took shots at Jack Hammer keeping him on the defensive. We now jump to the 22nd minute in
the match.

Brenner comes out first with Molly Mason and the fans pop HUGE for him. The monster rushes down to the ring and scales
the cage and makes his way in over the top of the cage. Molly remained on the outside. The music changed and out comes the Hardcore
Champion Mr. X. X is not in any hurry to
get this match started as he’s still mad he has to fight a Neanderthal. Unlike his opponent, Mr. X enters through the
cage door. He takes his time which only
infuriated Jax. Finally, the door is
closed and the rules are explained.
Going for a pin is not going to end the match; one person must exit out
the door or over the cage wall and have both feet touch the ground
in order to be declared the winner. The
bell rings.

Brenner gets the win and becomes the NEW HARDCORE CHAMPION. He is hugged by Molly and is given the
title. He then proceeds to make his way
around the ring. Mr. X finally got freed
and saw Jax on the other side of the ring.
He snuck out through the broken cage wall and grabbed Molly. Jax noticed and screamed at Mr. X. X demanded his title back or he was going to
break Molly. Jax came around and stood
at one end of the ring while Mr. X hid behind Molly 20 feet away. Jax looked at Molly and all she said was “Do
It.” Jax then CHARGED at Mr. X who was
not expecting it. Molly got out of the
way just in the nick of time and Jax and Mr. X CRASH through the ringside barrier. HOLY S*IT chants rang through the arena. Unfortunately, the fan who was given the
ringside seat by Max was right there when they came crashing through and he got
tagged hard. One of the commentators
said “OWW, that’s gotta hurt. Bad luck
there Brian”. When asked if that was the
fan’s name, the other guy said “No, that’s just what I’m calling him.”
Mr.
X laid there with (I guess we’ll call him) Bad Luck Brian amid the demolished
barrier. Jax and Molly headed to the
back. Medics came out to check on Mr. X
and BLB and took them to the back on separate stretchers.
There is a short
break while the cage is disassembled.
The final face-off between the Ladies Champion Luciana
Albano and her challenger Korbi Kong finally takes place. We head backstage for a promo from both
ladies.
Backstage at Heritage Championship
Wrestling (HCW), the tension was palpable as the final face-off between the
Ladies Champion Luciana Albano and her challenger Korbi Kong drew near. With
their respective managers by their sides, the stage was set for a showdown of
epic proportions.
As the cameras rolled, Luciana
Albano, flanked by her manager Pierre Boulay, stepped into the spotlight, her
confidence radiating like a beacon in the dimly lit backstage area.
"Tonight, Korbi Kong, you stand
face to face with greatness," Luciana declared, her voice dripping with
arrogance. "I am the reigning Ladies Champion for a reason, and tonight, I
will prove once and for all why I am the undisputed queen of HCW."
Pierre Boulay, ever the suave and
charismatic manager, chimed in with a smirk. "That's right, mes amis.
Luciana Albano is not just a champion; she is a force to be reckoned with. And
tonight, Korbi Kong, you will learn the hard way what it means to step into the
ring with a true champion."
As Luciana and Pierre exuded
confidence, the camera panned to anothe room, where Korbi Kong stood tall and
imposing, her friend and confidant Violet Valkyrie by her side.
With a steely gaze, Korbi addressed
her opponent. "Luciana Albano, you may be the champion for now, but
tonight, I'm coming for that title, and nothing will stand in my way."
Violet Valkyrie, a Hall of Famer in
her own right, nodded in agreement. "Korbi Kong is a powerhouse unlike any
other, and tonight, she's going to show the world why she deserves to wear that
championship belt around her waist."
As the tension reached its peak, the
stage was set for a clash of titans in the ring. With both competitors and
their managers fired up and ready for battle, the anticipation for the upcoming
match reached a fever pitch, promising an electrifying showdown that would go
down in HCW history.
Match #6: The Main Event: Ladies title match: Luciana Albano vs Korbi Kong w/Violet
Valkyrie
“KORBI
KONG SMASH” blares out of the loudspeakers and out comes Korbi with
Violet. They get the loudest pop of the
night. The two friends stand tall
soaking in the adulation from the fans and after the pyro goes off, they head
to the ring. Violet remains on the
outside and Korbi enters. She climbs
each of the turnbuckles eliciting louder and louder pops from the fans. She finally steps down and stands in the
center of the ring waiting for her opponent.
It is interesting to note that the referee for this match is the same
one who ref’d the matches where both Violet and Hayley got injured and had to
retire. The music changed and out comes
the Ladies Champion Luciana Albano with her manager Pierre Boulay. Pierre was carrying the portrait of Capt. Lou
to bring Luciana luck. The duo are booed
heavily as they make their way to the ring.
Pierre sets up the portrait at commentary. Luciana climbs into the ring over the top
rope. She sneers at Korbi and climbs the
turnbuckle holding her arms high. The
fans booing intensifies. She steps down and
stands in the center of the ring. Pierre
stands next to her as she holds the Ladies title high. Korbi then gets into Luciana’s face and says
she will not quit so Luciana had better be ready to end her like she did to
Violet and Hayley or she (Luciana) will be the one to fall. Pierre and Violet leave the ring. The ref holds the title high and then hands
it to the ring attendant and calls for the bell.

unsuccessful.
Korbi is
trapped in the middle of the ring and is screaming in pain but she won’t tap
out. Violet pleads with the ref to stop
the match so that Korbi doesn’t suffer career ending injuries. The ref is on the fence and can see there is
no way Korbi will tap or escape.
The ref
calls for the bell!!!

Albano (f) wins with a Ref Stoppage over Korbi Kong (f)!!!
The
fans are STUNNED! The ref stopped the
match before Korbi would be seriously hurt but it cost her the match and the
title. Luciana takes the title from the
referee and holds it high. She is joined
by Pierre Boulay in the ring. The New
Sicilians (the World Tag Team Champions) Dick and Vinnie Albano join them in
the ring. The Albano Family suffered a
small loss with Aldo, Carlo and Rigg losing the 6 Man titles plus their HCW
careers but these two retained their titles showcasing the dominance of the family.
The
show comes to an end with the Albano Family getting massively booed in the ring
while Korbi was taken to the back on a stretcher accompanied by Violet.
