HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2023 #967 – 11/17

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  Lots of very interesting things happening here.  At the last show, we saw the New Sicilians – Dirty Dick Albano and Vicious Vinnie Albano defeat the Regulators in their first match to become the New Tag Team Champions.  The Regulators tried to get the match overturned but when it didn’t, they quit HCW.  We wish them all the best in their future endeavors. 

 

Let’s get this party moving.

 

Match #1:  Dirty Dick Albano vs Dennis Marshall

 

One half of the newly crowned Tag Team Champions takes on 1/3^rd of the 6 Man tag team champions in Dennis Marshall.  We now know that it has been the Albano Family who have been targeting champions and Dennis wasn’t going to let this one sit. 

 

Dick, with the assistance of his manager Pierre Boulay and the unexpected appearance from Aldo and Carlo Albano, definitely swung the chances of a win to his favor.  We join that match at the 17 minute mark.

Dick Albano gets his first singles win.  Aldo and Carlo jump in and beat down Dennis until Casper Wyoming rushes out.  The Family start to head up the ramp when Casper gets on the mic and challenges someone from the Albano Family to a match right now.  Aldo accepts and he and his manger head back down to the ring.  The Albano Family is definitely not backing down from any challenge.

 

Match #2:  Casper Wyoming vs Aldo Albano w/ Pierre Boulay

Casper Wyoming executes a SUICIDE KING STOMP....

 

Aldo Albano executes a Legsweep....

Aldo Albano was disqualified due to Pierre Boulay's interference in the match!!!

 

Casper Wyoming wins with a BLATANT INTERFERENCE over Aldo Albano!!!

 

Casper gets the win but only because of a disqualification.  Carlo and Rigg A Mortis, who were hanging out on stage, rush down and attack Casper.  It didn’t take long for Dennis Marshall and Phantom Frank to run down to try to even the odds.  They did for a moment until Dick and Vinnie joined in the fight and then it was 5 on 3 with the faces getting beat down.  Pierre actually had them stop and leave because he knew a title match was in the Family’s future and didn’t want the champs to complain about being hurt and not able to defend the titles.  Dennis got on the mic and said that Pierre had one thing right…the Family just woke up “THIS GIANT” and says that as soon as Max puts pen to paper, they will have their match.

 

Apollo Gyze says he’s tired of being attacked by Biceps Bannerman.  He thinks Biceps is tying him to himself because Apollo is such a premier talent and Biceps, well, he is just so-so.  What a way to make a name for yourself.   Apollo says that he will give Biceps one more match…get a tag team partner and he’ll get one and they can meet at the Saturday Night Showdown.

 

Match #3:  Hardcore Title Match:  Dr. Red Fang vs Noah Murphy

 

Noah ‘High Flyer’ Murphy comes out first to a nice pop from the crowd.  He makes his way to the ring for this Hardcore Title Match.  Once in the ring, the music stops and we hear “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY” and out comes the Hardcore Champion Dr. Red Fang with his manager the Ambassador.  The duo head to the ring and the fans boo the H.E.Double Hockeysticks out of them.   Fang immediately jumps into the ring for this match with “Blood and Guts” rules.  The match was pretty even through the first 13 minutes of the match but after that, Murphy began turning up the heat.  We join the match now at the 21 minute mark.

Noah Murphy gets the win and becomes the NEW HARDCORE CHAMPION.  He does not get to celebrate very long as he is immediately attacked by the Ambassador’s new charge Tommy ‘the Morningstar’ Sullivan.  Sullivan hurled Noah viciously into the steel cage busting him open and letting the blood flow.  He locks Noah in a Necromancer’s Delight Half Nelson choke until Noah passed out.   Tommy immediately challenges Noah to a match at the PPV for this very title.  Tommy promises that the blood spilt tonight will be nothing in comparison to when ‘the Morningstar’ gets his shot at the gold.  After the match, the Ambassador tells Noah that he can thank “Tom” for the blood spilled in this match up.

 

Pierre Boulay meets with the Wicked Prophet backstage.  Something doesn’t seem right.

 

Match #4:  Mr X vs Outback Oscar

 

For our next match, Outback Oscar comes out first to a nice pop from the crowd (Tie me Kangaroo down, sport).  Mr. X comes out next and he’s heavily booed.  The one thing he’s accomplished for sure after coming to HCW is that he turned the fans against him and that seems perfectly fine with him.  Mr. X had control of the match in the beginning and he and Oscar took turns controlling the pace of the match.  We jump to the 16 minute mark.

Match #5:  Main Event:  World title match:  Starbuck Steel vs Tobias Snake

 

It’s time for our Main Event.  First, Tobias Snake comes out with his brothers Niven and Leiton.  They do a fist bump on the stage and Tobias heads to the ring for his match.  He begins jaw jacking with the fans to get them riled up.  The music changes and the fans explode with applause as the World Champion Starbuck Steel makes his way out.  He stands on the stage and soaks in the energy this crowd is feeding him.  He slings the title over his shoulder and shakes hands with the fans as he makes his way to the ring.  He gets into the ring and climbs the second turnbuckle and gets the fans pumped for this match.  He steps down and hands the title to the ref who calls for the bell to start this match off.

Starbuck Steel gets the win and the fans pop HUGE for him.  As he was celebrating in the ring, he is immediately blindsided by the Wicked Prophet.  Prophet hits him with the SMITE and the champ is down.  Prophet gets on the mic and says he is taking his rematch at the Zero Hour PPV.  He picks up the World title and holds it high as the fans boo and the show comes to an end.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2023 #966 – 11/15

Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  Today’s show we hit the road so that more talent can get some face time that is not dominated by the Albano Family. 

 

[The arena buzzes with excitement as the crowd eagerly awaits the appearance of "The Italian Thoroughbred" Dominic Marconi. Suddenly, the arena plunges into darkness. The sound of a thunderous heartbeat echoes through the speakers, building anticipation. A spotlight focuses on the entrance ramp as Dominic Marconi's theme, a mix of traditional Italian music and modern beats, begins to play. The fans erupt in cheers as the charismatic face steps into the spotlight.]

 

Dominic Marconi: Ladies and gentlemen, my HCW family! How you doin' tonight?

 

[The crowd roars in response, waving Italian flags and brandishing signs in support of their beloved hero.]

 

Dominic Marconi: Now, let me tell you a little somethin'. You see, I come from a long line of fighters, a proud Italian lineage. And when I heard about the chaos the Albano Family was causin' back in the home country, I couldn't just sit back and let it happen.

 

[The fans cheer in appreciation for Dominic's sense of justice.]

 

Dominic Marconi: I took it upon myself to stand up to them and put an end to their shenanigans. And you know what? We sent 'em packin'! The Italian Thoroughbred and his loyal fans, we stood tall against the storm, and we emerged victorious!

 

[The crowd erupts into cheers, chanting "Marconi! Marconi!"]

 

Dominic Marconi: But here's the thing, my friends. Evil has a way of resurfacin', and now, they've slithered their way into HCW. The Albano Family thinks they can bring their chaos into our home, into our beloved Heritage Championship Wrestling. Well, I've got news for them!

 

[Dominic pounds his chest, the intensity in his eyes undeniable.]

 

Dominic Marconi: This right here is HCW! This is our family, and we won't let anyone tarnish its legacy. The Italian Thoroughbred is here, right in the heart of HCW, to once again stand against the darkness, to face the Albano Family head-on!

 

[The crowd roars in approval, the atmosphere electric with anticipation.]

 

Dominic Marconi: So, Albano Family, listen up! Dominic Marconi is here to protect HCW, and I promise you this – you won't find a more determined, more passionate, or more resilient force in this ring than the Italian Thoroughbred. Get ready, because when the dust settles, HCW will still stand tall, and the legacy of the Marconi family will remain unblemished!

 

[The arena erupts in cheers as Dominic Marconi raises his arms, saluting the crowd. The Italian Thoroughbred is ready for battle, and the fans are firmly behind him as he prepares to face the looming threat of the Albano Family in Heritage Championship Wrestling.]

 

‘Dirty’ Dick Albano appears on the Omegatron.

 

[The ominous hum of the Omegatron fills the arena as the spotlight dims, with 'Dirty' Dick Albano showing up on the screen, revealing the sinister smirk of the conniving heel. Boos cascade from the audience as Albano begins to speak.]

 

'Dirty' Dick Albano: Well, well, well, if it ain't the so-called Italian Thoroughbred, Dominic Marconi. Look at you, Dominic, basking in the glory of the HCW faithful. What a heartwarming tale – a hero against the evil Albano Family. But let me set the record straight, Marconi.  You may have sent us packin' overseas, but this... this is HCW, and this is our turf now. You stepped into our playground, Dominic, and it's a whole different ballgame.

 

[The fans jeer, showing their disdain for Albano's underhanded tactics.]

 

'Dirty' Dick Albano: The Italian Thoroughbred, they call you. What a joke! You might have a few victories under your belt, but you're no match for the cunning, the strategy, and the ruthlessness of the Albano Family. You see, Marconi, this isn't a place for fairytales and heroics. This is a place where the strongest survive, and we – the Albano Family – we're the predators.

 

[Albano smirks, reveling in the boos and jeers from the crowd.]

 

'Dirty' Dick Albano: Dominic, you may have the fans in your corner, cheerin' and chantin', but when it comes down to it, they can't step into the ring for you. When you face 'Dirty' Dick Albano or any member of the Albano Family, you're steppin' into the lion's den.  And in the end, the lion always devours the Thoroughbred.

 

[The screen flickers as Albano leans in, a sinister whisper echoing through the arena.]

 

'Dirty' Dick Albano: You can't escape fate, Dominic. You can't escape the darkness that the Albano Family brings. So, enjoy your moment in the spotlight while you can, because when we clash, the hero falls, and the villain stand victorious.

 

[With a mocking laugh, the Omegatron fades to black. The stage is set for a battle between good and evil.]

 

Match #1:  The Italian Thoroughbred Dominic Marconi vs Perfect Pecs Stoddard. 

 

Marconi, already in the ring, waits as Perfect Pecs Stoddard comes out.  Pecs is booed and he flips the fans off which only makes them more irate.  He gets into the ring and looks at Marconi’s physique and laughs pointing at himself as the superior specimen.  Pecs only wishes he was in as such good shape. 

 

 

Stoddard wastes no time resorting to underhanded tactics, landing a running double axe handle on Marconi. The referee, 'Fast Count' Frank, suspiciously hastens the count in Stoddard's favor, setting the tone for the match.  Despite Stoddard's dirty tricks, Marconi manages to turn the tables with a powerful front face lock. The crowd rallies behind the Italian Thoroughbred as he gains the upper hand, but the referee's counts seem oddly swift when Stoddard is on the defensive.  Stoddard, realizing he's in for a tough fight, resorts to a punishing Irish curse backbreaker. The crowd boos at his unsportsmanlike conduct, and 'Fast Count' Frank conveniently speeds up his count, favoring the heel.

 

Marconi fights back with a head-first body slam, showcasing his strength. The referee's fast counts for Stoddard persist, drawing the ire of the audience. Stoddard's devious tactics continue, and 'Fast Count' Frank seems oblivious to the blatant rule violations.  Stoddard executes a front powerslam, but Marconi refuses to stay down.  Stoddard, sensing an opportunity, resorts to a choke in the corner, breaking the rules with impunity. The Italian Thoroughbred fights back.  Stoddard attempts a front powerslam, but Marconi skillfully neutralizes the move. Despite the face's resilience, the biased officiating continues, intensifying the crowd's discontent.  Stoddard executes a rolling fireman's carry slam, but Marconi responds with a series of hip rolls. Both competitors exchange powerful slams, showcasing their athleticism.  Stoddard resorts to a ruthless Irish curse backbreaker, aiming to put Marconi away.  Marconi locks in a figure-four armbar, but 'Fast Count' Frank's speed (against Marconi) in counting reaches absurd levels. The audience is now vehemently protesting the referee's actions.  The Italian Thoroughbred attempts another submission hold, but the fast counts persist.  The match reaches its climax as Marconi executes a backbreaker, forcing Stoddard to submit.

 

Dominic Marconi gets the win and the fans pop for him even though they are still irate at the blatant officiating.

 

Match #2:  The Muscles Duo (Weasley and Thorpe) vs Wilber Townsend and TNT

 

McGuire, Weasley and Thorpe ran around like a bunch of goofs with their rainbow colored bull horns and boxes of Bootie O’s cereal.  McGuire walks with his friends down to the ring but immediately heads to the back as to not get yelled at by the ref.  The music changes and down comes Wilber Townsend and his kin TNT.  The match was pretty evenly paced even with the cheating by the heels.  We join the match now at the 12 minute mark.

Muscles Thorpe,  Muscles Weasley double teaming for 2 rounds.

 

Muscles Thorpe executes a OVERHEAD SUPLEX....

 

Muscles Weasley executes a HONOR ROLL ROLLING CLOTHESLINE....

 

Wilber Townsend executes a LIFTING SIDESLAM....

 

Muscles Thorpe, Muscles Weasley are double teaming for 1 more rounds.

Wilber and TNT get the win much to the dismay of the fans.    They left without further incident and headed to the back.  Just before going behind the curtain, Wilber turned and looked at the camera with a crazy look in his eyes and then turned and resumed heading backstage.

 

Match #3:  Mountain Man Junior Huber vs Joe ‘Jack Hammer’ Sanders

 

[The local arena is charged with excitement as Mountain Man Junior Huber, typically a heel, takes on the the heel  Joe "Jack Hammer" Sanders. Surprisingly, Huber is playing the face in this intense showdown. The bell rings, and the crowd erupts as the two wrestlers lock eyes.]

 

Huber wastes no time in showcasing his strength, executing a powerful scoop power bodyslam. However, Sanders counters with a hammerlock, displaying his technical prowess.  Sanders takes control with hammering corner forearms, targeting Huber's midsection. Despite the punishment, Huber fights back, executing a standing shoulder block.

 

Sanders gains momentum with a whip to the corner, but Huber endures the impact. The two wrestlers engage in a fierce battle, each trying to outmaneuver the other.  The action intensifies as both men exchange high-impact moves. Huber manages to execute a lifting arm triangle choke, but Sanders retaliates with a nerve pinch.

 

Sanders gains an advantage with a hammerlock, but Huber endures the pain, refusing to submit. The crowd rallies behind the unexpected face turn of Mountain Man Junior Huber.  Huber charges in with a running splash, eliciting cheers from the crowd. The momentum swings back and forth as Sanders retaliates with a chinlock and knee in the back.

 

In a surprising turn of events, Sanders secures the victory with a hard punches combination, pinning Mountain Man Junior Huber for the three-count.

 

The Jack Hammer gets the win and the fans boo him.  He mostly ignores them and makes he way to the back.  Huber follows shortly thereafter.  (24 min)

 

Match #4:  ‘Wildman’ Saturn Frost vs Mr. X

 

Frost is no stranger to a dark, heelish side of wrestling but tonight, he plays the good guy in this match up against Mr. X.  Mr. X had just been signed to a contract (albeit non-exclusive).  Mr. X dominated the match and even got cocky after doing a hip roll and tried to get a pin but Frost kicked out almost immediately.  A few minutes later, Mr X gets hurled out of the ring.  He contemplated walking off but after some mocking by the fans, he got back in before the count expired.  He turned up the heat and after delivering multiple chops to the chest of the Wildman, Mr X rolled him up (with a handful of tights) and got the 1-2-3.  Mr. X gets the win and the fans boo the crap out of him.  He walks off, having successfully earned another paycheck.  (14 min)

 

Match #5 – The Main Event:  Korbi Kong vs Goldie Locks in a non-title match.

 

Goldie Locks came out first to a loud pop from the crowd.  Next, the Ladies Champion Korbi Kong comes out and the pop is just as loud if not louder.  The two both psyche up the crowd and the fans are looking forward to this match.  As the bell rings, both ladies shake hands and this one begins.

Ladies Champion Korbi Kong gets the win via submission.  A great match put on by two fantastic wrestlers.  The ladies shake hands afterwards and Goldie raises Korbi’s hand in victory.  She then leaves to let Korbi celebrate with the fans.  Korbi is standing tall in the ring when the Omegatron glitches and then we see the words “I’m coming for you” on the screen.  The words’ impact is amplified by the size of the screen.  Is it speaking of ominous things to come?  I guess we’ll find out soon enough.  Stay Tuned.
