Hello fans and
welcome to Day 3 of HCW’s Critical Mass PPV.
Over the last two days, we’ve seen champions retain, some change hands,
a run in from a mysterious woman (I’m sure she’ll be on our GM’s radar) and the
retirement of one. Today’s issue will be
just as action packed as the last couple.
We have our final 3 title matches (tag team, hardcore and world) on the
card and…hang on…there’s a commotion going on backstage. We rush back there and see Mustang Sammy and
his weasel of a manager Figgy Newton beating down a helpless Davis
Hoffmeister. Security ran in but by the
time they got there, Davis was a bloody mess.
Sammy and Figgy ran off laughing all the way. Davis was helped up and taken back to be examined
by medics.
Pyro goes off and
our show is ready to go. The two GM’s
Max McGillicutty and Master Bull come out and they are trying very hard to hide
their frustration at what just transpired.
Max says that Davis’ match will be pushed to later in the show to give
him time to recover. If he is unable to
make it, they will deal with it then.
Bull thanks the fans for attending and extends thanks to those who have
tuned in via PPV to experience the event live.
Bull makes the announcement that HCW will shut down for a week to give
everyone time to relax and recuperate.
Max chimes in and says that once they come back, there will be a roster
shake up as there will be new wrestlers coming in and they will have to figure
out which roster to move them to. The
fans seemed eager to learn more about the new people coming in. Before the show can begin, they have some
pre-recorded comments from some of the roster.
They cut to the Omegatron and it begins playing.
First, Outback
Oscar says that he talked it over with his tag team partner the Crocodile
Hunter and he’s decided to cash in his title shot against the Tag Team
Champions whoever that may be. They are
looking forward to seeing who will win tonight and who gets to face them next.
Next, we have comments
from Kimberly Kiccsass. She says that
she wants the zombie chick in the ring who attacked her. She will show her that she messed with the
wrong superstar.
Thirdly, former
Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel had some words for the lady who defeated her
for the title – Candice Charisma. She
congratulated Candice for using underhanded tactics to win the title. She says she’ll let her enjoy her limelight
for now because she’ll be back for her belt soon enough.
We
cut backstage again and we see the Banker’s manager Ruth Heartless walking
around frantically looking for something.
She is stopped by GM Master Bull who asks what is wrong. She says she hasn't seen The Banker since after
the Hell in a Cell match. As he left that night he said something about having
to meet with The Regulators. She was confused, because he's not really in
banking anymore. She leaves and continues her search, and Master Bull is left
wondering what it all means.
Pyro
goes off again and our first match is ready to begin. Pyro goes off and out comes Sonic Blade. The fans pop huge for him as he makes his way
down to the ring. Next, Pete Punsher
(aka the PUN-isher) comes out and he gets a decent reaction from the
crowd. He climbs into the ring and
shakes Sonic’s hand and this one is ready to go. Pete had control for about 2 minutes but then
after that, it was all Sonic. Sonic
out-wrestled Pete to the point where people seemed to get a little bored. Sonic saw that he was losing the crowd so he
did a moonsault from the top rope and connected. The fans suddenly were back in. Sonic then hit Pete with a power clothesline
and seeing that Pete wasn’t making much attempt to get up, he went for the
cover and got the easy 3 count. Sonic
Blade gets the win and gets his arm raised by the ref. Sonic goes over and helps Pete to his
feet. The fans pop for the awesome show
of sportsmanship shown and Sonic and Pete leave. (18 minutes)
Backstage, the
Desperados are being interviewed and El Chango comments that it’s been a long
time coming but now they are in a position to make it to the top of the
hill. Leon Teremoto chimes in and says
that both of them are healthy and look forward to wearing gold once again.
Also backstage are
Elitism with their manager the Ambassador.
The Ambassador says the champs are primed and ready. Reid says that he is not taking anything away
from their competitors tonight but he and Roderick are the favorites to win as
they’ve been together longer and understand how to win. Roderick says that Reid gives the Desperados
too much credit as they are untouchable with the Ambassador at their side.
The next match is
ready to go. First, the music from
Bonanza plays and out comes the Desperados – El Chango and Leon Teremoto. The fans pop pretty loud for them. Once in the ring, the music changes and the
Ambassador comes out and introduces the Tag Team Champions Elitism. The Elitist Reid Rothchild and Rowdy Roderick
Rothchild come out to a pop from the fans.
They make it to the ring and then take the titles off and hand them to
the Ambassador who gives them to the ref who holds them high. The ref then has the bell rung to get this
one started. The champs controlled the
challengers and it was even surprising that the Ambassador didn’t get
involved. Elitism said they would work
as a well-oiled machine and that they did.
We join the match at the 7 minute mark.

The Desperados get
the win and become the NEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!! The ref hands the belts to Leon and El Chango
and the fans pop huge. Roderick was on
the outside of the ring and kept slamming his hands on the mat. Frustrated, he grabbed a steel chair and slid
back into the ring. He immediately
attacked both El Chango and Leon beating them down. Reid got up and yanked the chair out of his
hands yelling “what are you doing?”
Roderick started to yell at Reid.
Reid picked up the chair and Roderick backed off. Reid then swung it…at El Chango and Leon as
Roderick and the Ambassador cheered him on.
Reid beat them with the chair until it bent. He then threw it out of the ring. The fans immediately turned on Elitism and
booed them as the Ambassador led them to the back. Medics came out to check on El Chango and
Leon who were able to get to their feet.
The fans popped for them as they made their way to the back.
Backstage, the
Duchess says that Taylor Bella gets what’s coming to her tonight and surprise,
it’s a “no holds barred” match and that means anything goes. She says that after tonight, she’ll beat
Taylor and make her humble and once she’s through with her, she is coming after
the Ladies title.
Taylor and her
manager are also backstage and Taylor is flipping out over the “no holds
barred” stipulation questioning Figgy why he let this slip. Figgy tells her it doesn’t matter as Taylor
is the most dominant Ladies wrestler to ever lace up a pair of boot and he
tells her that once she dispatches the Duchess, he’s promising her a shot at
the Ladies title (um…he doesn’t have the authority).
GM’s Max
McGillicutty and Master Bull walk into the onsite doctor’s office to check in
on Davis. The doctor tells them that he
can’t in good conscious authorize Davis’ clearance to wrestle. Davis is adamant and says he’ll do whatever
it takes to keep his match tonight. Bull
says they should wait and see how the Hoff is doing after the next match.
Our next match is
ready to go. The Duchess makes her way
out to the ring to a decent pop from the crowd.
Next, Taylor comes out with Figgy and the fans boo them both. Figgy, being Figgy, flips them off. Taylor is reluctant to get in the ring as the
Duchess is armed with a steel chair. The
ref finally gets it away from her and Taylor gets into the ring. The Duchess goes on the attack but Taylor
bails to buy herself more time. She does
this twice. The third time, the Duchess
followed her out and began to beat her around the ring. Taylor rolled back in and kicked the Duchess
in the gut as she tried to enter the ring.
The street fight rules are basically that anything goes. Both women used miscellaneous weapons. Taylor got a near fall after putting the
Duchess through a table but was slow in making the pin. We join the match at the 12 minute mark.

ropes in an effort to break the move but Figgy runs over and kicks the rope

Taylor gets the
win and she and Figgy celebrate in the ring but the Duchess isn’t finished…not
by a long shot. She gets up and grabs
Taylor and smacks her head into the exposed turnbuckle busting her open. Taylor managed to roll out of the ring
leaving Figgy in there with the Duchess.
He tries to be “manly” but he ends up cowering pleading for mercy. The Duchess kicks him in the gut and then
calls for the “All Hail Her Majesty” but Taylor manages to pull her manager to
safety. The two of them rush up the ring
to avoid any further attacks. The
Duchess gets a pop from the crowd as she leaves.
Backstage, Magnum
Kone is pacing. He says that he’s had
some interesting feuds in the past but the one vs Superquake Ferguson has gone
to all new levels. He says that he will
still come out and hand out ice cream because that is what the fans want but
they also want him to kick Superquake’s ass and that is what he’ll do
tonight. Win the title or not,
Superquake will be taught a lesson in humility.
Superquake Ferguson
is standing there and he laughs. He says
that Magnum won’t be teaching anything to anyone other than how to run
away. It doesn’t matter who; they wall
all fall at the might of the Superquake.
Bull and Max walk
back into the Dr.’s room. The doctor
says that his decision still stands and he cannot medically release Davis. Davis says he’ll do whatever it takes…even if
it means putting his career on the line.
Max says he doesn’t want that but if Davis does this, HCW cannot be held
responsible. Davis agrees to it. Max says that the match with Sammy is now a
non-sanctioned event. To make things
even, if Sammy loses, he’s suspended and after Davis gets a whopping 15 minutes
with Figgy, Figgy will be fired. Davis
says he agrees to the terms. Davis signs
the release form and goes to get ready for his match.
Magnum Kone comes
out first pushing his ice cream cart down to the ring. He hands out ice cream to the fans at
ringside and once done, he gets into the ring and prepares for his match. Next, the Hardcore Champion Superquake
Ferguson comes out and the fans boo the behemoth as he makes his way down to
the ring. He climbs into the ring by
stepping over the top rope and he stands toe to toe with Magnum in the center
of the ring. The ref takes the Hardcore
title and signals for the match to begin.
Magnum connects with two Ice Cream Sandwiches (splash in the corner) but
Supequake drops Magnum with a big foot to the face. Superquake removes the corner turnbuckle and
tries to slam Magnum into it but Kone nullifies the move. We now join the match at the 9 minute mark.

Snake) and the three of them attack Superquake picking the big man up and
hitting a triple powerbomb right through the Spanish announce table. Destruction is everywhere.

Superquake can’t answer the count so Magnum wins the match and becomes the NEW HARDCORE CHAMPION!!! Magnum nods to the Snake Pit and they walk off. Magnum celebrates his title win with a few of the fans and then leaves. Superquake eventually gets to his feet and leaves.
Mustang Sammy is
backstage with Figgy Newton and they are laughing at the fact that Davis can
barely stand. Sammy says that Davis
doesn’t know when to quit so they will make it that he is officially gone after
tapping out once and for all. Once he utters the words “I Quit”, he’ll lose the
match and his career. Figgy says Davis’
time here is done. Davis would try to
get Sammy to quit after jabbing his taped thumb into Sammy esophagus but he
wouldn’t. 10 minutes later, Sammy would
lock in a spine bending boston crab but Davis wouldn’t quit. Sammy then locked in the Handlebar (camel
clutch) but Davis was able to make it to the ropes. Davis controlled the match for 26 minutes but
then Sammy began to fight back owning his match. 32 minutes in, Sammy locks in the Handlebar
again but Davis powers out of it again.
We now join the match at the 43 minute mark.

Davis is exhausted after the 45 minute fight. As soon as he realizes he won, he’s filled with a renewed boost of energy. Figgy tries to go on the offensive by attacking Davis but Davis beats the living hell out of him. Davis took out all his frustrations on Figgy and Figgy had to take it. Davis drops Figgy with a DDT and goes to grab a chair. He brings it into the ring and smashes Figgy with it. Figgy still stirs so Davis picks him up and hits a piledriver on the chair. Figgy starts convulsing in the ring (sort of over reacting in my honest opinion). Davis leaves the ring one more time but this time comes back with a can and a pillow. Davis opens the can and its black tar. He rips the pillows and dumps the feathers in the ring. Davis uses a paint brush and starts to cover Figgy in the tar. Figgy tries to get to his feet and starts slipping and sliding around the ring. Davis throws the open pillow at Figgy and feathers explode out of it covering him from head to toe. Figgy sees himself covered in tar and feathers and he bolts out of the ring running all the way to the back (and we assume out the door never to be seen from again). Davis celebrates with the fans and eventually leaves the ring. The crew come out and begin replacing the ring mat in preparation of the next match.
Backstage, Buzz
Steel is being interviewed by Clarkus Kentus.
Buzz tells him that it’s been a long time but he’s getting a world title
shot. What makes it better is that it’s
against his brother. Starbuck has been a
great World Champion and has turned back many challengers but tonight, he will
prove to the world that the Steel Curtain represent the best in the business
and regardless of the outcome tonight, he is putting his best foot
forward. Starbuck will be facing the
biggest challenge tonight and the better man will walk away with the title.
World Champion
Starbuck Steel is backstage being interviewed by Larry Morton. Larry asks if Starbuck did any special
preparation for this match. Starbuck
acknowledges that he is the (slightly) older brother so he knows all the
mischief his younger brother went through so he knows what to expect but he
also knows that this is Buzz’s biggest break and he knows they will tear down
the house and steal the match of the year award. One of the Curtain brothers walks out with
the title tonight and he’s pretty sure he’ll be retaining.
It’s time for the
main event. Music hits and Buzz Steel
makes his way down to the ring to a huge pop from the crowd. He does some showboating in the ring and the
music changes and the World Champion Starbuck Steel comes out and the fans also
pop for him. He gets into the ring and
climbs each turnbuckle corner holding the title high. He
walks to the center of the ring and he and his brother stare eye to eye. Starbuck hands the title to the ref and the
two brothers shake hands and the bell rings starting this one off. 3 minutes in Starbuck takes the wind out of
Buzz’s sails after connecting with the Starplex. Buzz would fight back and hit the Buzzkill
and get a 2 count. Neither man went for
a pin until the end of the match. The
fight was pretty much even (score of 121 to 119). We join the match at the 15 minute mark.

and takes the belt from the ref and drapes it on his brother’s shoulder. He extends his hand and both men shake. Starbuck pulls him in close and says “Just
wait till the rematch” and both men smirk and step back. Starbuck leaves the ring to let Buzz
celebrate his win. As the fans pop for
Buzz, Starbuck turns around and smilesand then heads to the back.
With
that, our PPV event comes to a close. Thanks
for sticking with us for the last few days.
We’ll be taking a week off for everyone to recuperate and then we’ll be
back with our awesome roster. Stay
