J.R.
Holland:
“Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW
Wrestling Newsletter. We are coming to you tonight from the TBS Arena in
Raleigh, North Carolina, and this is HCW Shockwave.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“I’ve been told tonight could shake the foundation of this company, J.R. I’ve
got some very interesting information.”
J.R.
Holland:
“Well, if it’s verified, I’m sure you’ll share it at the appropriate time.”
Clarkus
pushes further.
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Oh, I will. Especially when certain champions get exposed.”
J.R.
Holland:
“Speaking of champions, Owen Zestwell defends the United States Championship
tonight against Nico Burnett. And before that, a Women’s Contract Battle Royal
to open the show.”
TONIGHT:
- Battle Royal for a Women’s
Contract Opportunity
- Daphne Ashcroft vs Talia Nocturne
- The Truth Hurts with Grizelda and
Count Vlad
- Backstage interview with Owen
Zestwell
- 🇺🇸 United States Championship Main
Event
J.R.
Holland:
“Let’s get things started with high stakes and high tension. The women’s
division takes center stage right now.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“This is where careers are made—or exposed.”
J.R.
Holland:
“The winner of this Battle Royal earns a future contract opportunity. It
begins… now.”
Contract
for a Future Women’s Title Shot
Before the
bell even sounds:
J.R.
Holland:
“Before we begin, a quick clarification — Veronica, Grizelda, Selena, and Talia
Nocturne are not eligible for this contract opportunity tonight, as each
currently holds championship gold.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Which means tonight is pure ambition. No safety nets. No guarantees.”
The bell
rings.
Bodies
collide immediately.
Daphne
Ashcroft starts aggressively, trying to ground Trinity Bowman early.
Suddenly —
music hits.
Talia
Nocturne appears at the stage.
No sprint.
No theatrics.
Just stillness.
Daphne
turns her head for one second.
Trinity
capitalizes.
THE
BOW-FLEX — over the top rope.
Daphne
hits the floor barely a minute in.
J.R.
Holland:
“That split-second distraction cost her everything.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“If you can’t stay focused, you don’t deserve the contract.”
Daphne
stares at Talia.
Talia smirks.
And we
move on.
Mid-Match
Chaos
- Chloe Parker dumps Lavender
Gooms.
- Phoenix Blaze eliminates Aurora
Storm with Eclipse.
- Leslie Grimes begins stacking
eliminations, tossing Luna Shadow and later Chloe Parker.
- Trinity Bowman catches fire —
eliminating Starla Nova, Phoenix Blaze, Twinkle, and Sparkle in dominant
fashion.
The All
American Sweethearts get dumped quickly by the Tinsel Twins.
Korbi Kong
enters late and starts throwing weight around.
Ashley
“Diamond” Summers spears Trinity out of the match in a huge momentum shift.
Final
Stretch
We are
down to:
- Leslie Grimes
- Ashley Summers
- Korbi Kong
- Luciana Albano
- Penny Hall
Leslie
eliminates Penny.
Luciana
traps Leslie in the Nightmare Lock Inverted Cloverleaf against the ropes and
muscles her out.
Ashley
Spears Korbi nearly out — but Korbi hangs on.
Korbi
rebounds with the Mile High Flying Elbow Drop to eliminate Ashley Summers.
Now it’s
Korbi vs Luciana.
The crowd
rises.
Korbi
nearly powers Luciana out with raw strength.
Luciana
slides to the apron.
Korbi
charges.
Luciana
launches with an Apron Somersault Senton —
Korbi
crashes to the floor.
Winner
Luciana
Albano wins the March Ladies Contract!!!
J.R.
Holland:
“Luciana Albano has secured a future title opportunity!”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“And the Albano family just gained leverage. That contract changes everything.”
Luciana
stands tall, smirking, briefcase raised.
She opens it to reveal:
WORLD
LADIES TITLE CONTRACT
She’s
coming for the Ladies World Title.
And she
will not ask politely.
Music
hits.
‘The
Widow’s Fang’ Selena Blackfang walks out alone.
She does
not smile.
She does
not pace.
She stands
center ring.
Selena
Blackfang:
“Last week… this company honored Goldie Locks.”
Crowd
cheers loudly.
She lets
them.
Then she
lowers the mic.
Selena
Blackfang:
“And not one of you mentioned the truth.”
Crowd
shifts.
Selena
Blackfang:
“At Convergence last year… I ended her.”
Boos.
Heavy
ones.
Selena
Blackfang:
“First, I forced her out of this company. Then, I forced her into retirement.”
She tilts
her head slightly.
Selena
Blackfang:
“And now she gets a ceremony.”
Pause.
Selena
Blackfang:
“You don’t put someone in the Hall of Fame because they were dominant. You put
them there because they can’t compete anymore.”
The crowd
is loud now.
Selena
Blackfang:
“I didn’t send Goldie into retirement because I hated her.”
Beat.
“I did it
because she was weak.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“She’s not hiding from it.”
J.R.
Holland:
“No. She’s proud of it.”
Selena
Blackfang:
“Goldie represented an era of comfort. Of applause. Of sentiment.”
She leans
on the ropes.
“I
represent inevitability.”
New music hits.
The crowd
pops big.
Selena
Blackfang closes her eyes for a second.
Annoyed.
Dorothy,
one half of the Blonde Bombshells, storms to the ring with purpose.
No
dancing.
No hesitation.
She grabs
a mic before even entering.
Dorothy:
“You think ending someone’s career makes you strong?”
Crowd
cheers.
She steps
into the ring.
Dorothy:
“No. It makes you a coward who waited for the right moment.”
Selena
Blackfang smirks.
Dorothy:
“You don’t get to rewrite history.”
Steps
closer.
“If you’re
so inevitable… fight me.”
Huge pop.
Dorothy:
“Right here. Right now.”
Crowd
chants: “YES! YES! YES!”
Selena
Blackfang looks around.
She laughs
softly.
Selena
Blackfang:
“You want to defend Goldie’s honor?”
She
shrugs.
“Fine.”
She tosses
the mic down.
Referee
slides in.
The bell
rings and Selena immediately targets the leg, twisting Dorothy into a tight
Cloverleaf in the opening minute.
J.R.
Holland:
“Selena is methodical. She wants to punish before she wants to win.”
Dorothy
claws to the ropes, absorbing the damage early.
The pace
quickens in the second minute — Spinebuster from Dorothy, Cradle DDT from
Selena. Neither woman giving ground.
In the
third minute, Selena launches herself with a vicious apron somersault plancha,
sending Dorothy crashing to the floor. The referee begins the count, the crowd
urging her on.
She barely
beats the seven-count.
Back
inside, submissions and suplexes stack up. Cloverleaf. Fallaway Slam. Butterfly
DDT. Headbutts. Selena trying to grind Dorothy down.
But in the
eighth minute—
Kansas
Cyclone.
Tornado
DDT.
The crowd
erupts.
One…
Two—
Selena
kicks out.
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“That’s why she’s dangerous. She doesn’t break.”
Dorothy
surges. Bulldog. Spinebuster. Flying Bulldog. The momentum shifts violently.
Selena
fires back with Snap Suplexes and a modified Scorpion Crosslock, but Dorothy
refuses to fade.
By the
fifteenth minute both women are exhausted.
Dorothy
plants her feet.
Another
Kansas Cyclone.
She hooks
the leg.
One…
Two…
Three.
Dorothy
defeats Selena Blackfang.
Huge
reaction.
Dorothy
rises slowly, breathing hard.
Selena
rolls toward the ropes, stunned.
And then—
Talia’s
music hits.
The crowd
immediately turns.
J.R.
Holland:
“Oh no…”
Talia
storms down the ramp.
No
hesitation.
No
theatrics.
She slides
into the ring and blasts Dorothy from behind.
Dorothy
barely has time to turn before being driven into the mat with a vicious strike
combination.
Selena
pulls herself up in the corner… watches… then joins in.
Double
assault.
Boots.
Stomps.
Talia
drives Dorothy down again.
The crowd
is furious.
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“She asked for this when she stepped into Dominion business.”
J.R.
Holland:
“This isn’t business — this is retaliation.”
Talia
stands over Dorothy.
Selena
regains her composure.
The two
exchange a look.
They leave
together.
Dorothy is
left motionless in the center of the ring.
Officials
and medical staff rush down.
She is
helped to her feet and helped to the back.
J.R.
Holland:
“Hopefully she isn’t hurt too bad. Two
on one isn’t exactly fair.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Who ever said PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING was FAIR?
You mess with the bull (Dominion business), you get the horns.”
Camera
cuts backstage.
Daphne Ashcroft
is pacing near the monitor area.
She’s
already in gear for later.
The replay
of the assault plays on the screen behind her.
She
doesn’t blink.
Ryan
Mercer steps into frame.
Ryan
Mercer:
“Daphne, we just witnessed Talia and Selena leave Dorothy laid out after what
was a hard-fought match. Your thoughts?”
Daphne
exhales slowly.
Controlled.
Daphne
Ashcroft:
“My thoughts?”
She
gestures toward the monitor.
“That
wasn’t dominance.”
“That was
insecurity.”
Beat.
Daphne
Ashcroft:
“Talia wants to get in my head… so she
tried to distract me.”
Small
pause.
“And when
that didn’t work the way she planned… she waited for Dorothy to win.”
She steps
closer to camera.
Daphne
Ashcroft:
“You don’t attack someone after they’ve
already fought fifteen minutes unless you’re afraid of facing them fresh.”
Ryan
watches closely.
Ryan
Mercer:
“You face Talia later tonight.”
Daphne
nods once.
Daphne
Ashcroft:
“Good.”
No
yelling.
No
threats.
Just
resolve.
Daphne
Ashcroft:
“I’m done reacting to her.”
She stares
directly into the camera.
“Tonight…
she reacts to me.”
She walks
off.
Cut back
to commentary.
J.R.
Holland:
“That was different.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“She talks big. Let’s see if she backs it up.”
J.R.
Holland:
“She sounds focused.”
Clarkus
rolls his eyes slightly.
Subtle
irritation.
THE
TRUTH HURTS (Backstage Segment)
The camera
fades in to the lavish, candle-lit lounge set of The Truth Hurts. Dark
wood paneling. Tall arched windows. The golden THE TRUTH HURTS sign
glows overhead.
Truth
Wayne stands near the polished desk, mic in hand, smirking into the camera.
Standing
to his right:
Grizelda, composed and regal.
- The Empress Championship
wrapped tightly around her waist.
- The Heritage Women’s
Championship resting confidently over her shoulder.
Standing
just behind her— hands clasped behind
his back — Count Vlad. Silent. Watching.
The
atmosphere is controlled. Calculated.
Truth Wayne:
“Well well
well… welcome back to the most honest show in HCW.”
He
gestures toward them.
“And
tonight, I have royalty.”
“The
Empress herself… Grizelda.”
“And the
architect of domination… Count Vlad.”
He grins.
“Let’s
talk about power.”
Grizelda:
“You may.”
She
doesn’t smile.
Truth Wayne:
“Two
championships.”
“Two
divisions.”
“And
somehow… nobody has stopped you.”
He circles
slightly, maintaining distance.
“Some
people say that’s dominance.”
“Some say
that’s interference.”
“So I’ll
ask you straight.”
“Are you
unbeatable… or are you untouchable?”
Grizelda
slowly stands.
She
adjusts the Heritage title on her shoulder.
Grizelda:
“I am
inevitable.”
She steps
forward slightly.
“These
titles aren’t protection.”
“They’re
proof.”
“Proof
that I can outthink, outfight, and outlast anyone in this company.”
Her eyes
narrow.
“And if
someone believes otherwise…”
She
lightly taps the Empress plate at her waist.
“They can
come try.”
Truth
Wayne turns toward Vlad.
Truth
Wayne:
“And you.”
He lowers
his tone slightly.
“You stand
behind her like a shadow.”
“Is this
your design?”
A subtle
tension shift.
Grizelda
glances back at Vlad — not submissive, but measured.
Vlad steps
forward just enough to enter full frame.
Count
Vlad:
“The Dark
Dominion does not operate on ego.”
“It
operates on evolution.”
He looks
at Truth Wayne coldly.
“Grizelda
is not my creation.”
“She is an
extension of my will..”
The room
quiets.
“She holds
those championships because she understands something the rest of the locker
room does not.”
“Mercy is
weakness.”
Truth
Wayne nods slowly.
Truth
Wayne:
“So what
happens when someone finally pushes back?”
“When
someone isn’t afraid?”
“When
someone doesn’t care about your ‘evolution’?”
Grizelda
answers before Vlad can.
Grizelda:
“Then they
will learn.”
Her voice
lowers.
“That fear
isn’t necessary.”
“Pain is.”
A heavy
silence.
Truth
Wayne slowly smiles.
Truth
Wayne:
“There it
is.”
He looks
into the camera.
“The
Empress speaks.”
“Two
titles.”
“One
throne.”
“And a
Dominion that doesn’t look like it’s losing ground anytime soon.”
He adjusts
his sunglasses.
“And
remember…”
“The Truth
Hurts.”
Fade out.
BACK TO
COMMENTARY
The camera
cuts from the dimly lit lounge set back to ringside.
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Grizelda standing tall with two
championships, and Count Vlad making it crystal clear — the Dark Dominion isn’t
slowing down.”
J.R.
Holland:
“I don’t like it;. I don’t like any of
it. That wasn’t confidence… that was a warning.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“And now we move from words to action.
It’s time for our next contest.”
The lights
dim.
A pulse of
deep violet light fills the arena.
“Ashes
of the Phoenix” by Nightfall Reverie hits.
Purple and
silver strobes fire across the stage as Daphne Ashcroft steps through
the curtain.
Confident.
Focused. No theatrics — just presence.
She scans
the crowd and nods, absorbing the cheers.
J.R.
Holland:
“Daphne Ashcroft has been building
momentum for weeks. She’s earned this opportunity.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“She’s going to need more than momentum
tonight, J.R..”
Daphne
slaps hands on her way down the ramp, then slides into the ring and climbs the
turnbuckle, raising one fist to a strong ovation.
She drops
down, eyes locked on the stage.
Waiting.
The lights
abruptly cut to black.
A low,
distorted hum begins.
“Midnight
Sovereign” by Obsidian Choir
hits.
Deep
crimson lighting washes over the stage.
Smoke
rolls across the ramp.
Talia
Nocturne steps
out slowly.
Cold.
Expressionless.
But
something is noticeably different.
She is
alone.
The camera
briefly scans the stage.
No Count
Vlad.
No Dark
Dominion presence.
Just her.
J.R.
Holland:
“Wait a minute…”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Where’s Vlad?”
J.R.
Holland:
“Count Vlad is not accompanying Talia
Nocturne tonight.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“That’s unusual. Very unusual.”
Talia
walks deliberately down the ramp, never taking her eyes off Daphne.
There is
no smile.
No
acknowledgment of the crowd.
Just
silent intensity.
She steps
into the ring and moves to her corner, removing her coat slowly.
The
tension rises.
J.R.
Holland:
“Whether she has backup or not, Talia
Nocturne remains one of the most dangerous competitors in this division.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“And if she’s out here alone… that might
make her even more dangerous.”
The
referee signals for the bell.
The match
is about to begin.
From the
opening bell, this was not cautious — it was collision.
Talia
struck first with a thunderous Skyward Suplex Olympic Slam, but Daphne
answered instantly with the La Rosa Driver, both women crashing to the
mat and scrambling back up without hesitation.
J.R.
Holland:
“Neither woman giving an inch!”
The pace
escalated quickly. Talia drilled Daphne with the Red Wedding Fireman’s Carry
Facebuster, then followed with stiff roundhouse kicks that echoed through
the arena. Daphne fired back with a crushing Gory Bomb and multiple La
Rosa Drivers, forcing Talia to absorb more damage than she’s accustomed to.
Mid-match,
Talia reversed a Northern Lights attempt into a sharp Slingblade,
slowing Daphne just long enough to take control with an Inverted DDT and
repeated Pendulum Backbreakers targeting the spine.
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Talia’s dissecting her. That back won’t
hold up.”
But Daphne
refused to fold.
She
powered through the punishment, landing a Full Nelson Flatliner that
stunned Talia and shifted momentum. A Running Senton rocked Nocturne
again, and the crowd sensed the turn.
J.R.
Holland:
“Daphne Ashcroft digging deep here!”
The final
exchange was explosive.
Talia
connected with another Olympic Slam. Daphne countered with a vicious Death
Valley Driver.
Both women
staggered.
Daphne
struck again.
Death
Valley Driver.
She hooked
the leg.
1… 2…
3.
Talia
Nocturne is pinned.
Daphne
Ashcroft wins.
The crowd
erupts.
Daphne
rises slowly, clutching her ribs but victorious. She throws a fist in the air
as “Ashes of the Phoenix” hits again.
J.R.
Holland:
“That’s a statement win!”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“And she did it without interference!”
Talia
rolls out of the ring, furious. No Vlad. No Dominion backup. Just defeat.
Daphne
climbs the turnbuckle, soaking in the cheers—
—
The lights
flicker.
A familiar
deep crimson glow washes over the arena.
The crowd
reaction shifts instantly.
Talia
stops halfway up the ramp.
She turns.
And
sprints back to the ring.
Daphne
barely has time to turn around—
Roundhouse
Kick to the skull.
Daphne
crashes hard.
The crowd
gasps.
Talia
mounts her and unloads vicious strikes, no hesitation, no theatrics — just cold
fury.
J.R.
Holland:
“Come on! This is over!”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“This is all Talia!”
Talia
drags Daphne up and drives her down with a brutal Pendulum Backbreaker.
Then
another.
Then she
stands over her.
No smile.
No scream.
Just a
stare.
She kneels
down beside Daphne and whispers something we can’t hear.
Then
slowly rises.
She exits
the ring.
Officials
rush down as Daphne lies motionless in the center of the ring.
The camera
focuses on Daphne being helped to her feet — barely conscious — as the crowd
boos Talia relentlessly.
J.R.
Holland:
“Talia Nocturne may have lost the match…
but she just sent a message.”
Fade to
commercial.
BACK
FROM COMMERCIAL — BACKSTAGE
The camera
fades in to the industrial backstage area of HCW Shockwave. Orange and blue
lighting reflects off metal trusses and production crates.
Standing
by is Ryan Mercer, now wearing a bright orange jacket.
Beside her
stands the imposing Owen Zestwell, the HCW United States Championship
secured tightly around his waist. His orange singlet practically glows under
the lighting.
Ryan
Mercer:
“Owen Zestwell, thank you for joining me. You successfully defended the United
States Championship two weeks ago, and tonight—”
Owen
slowly turns his head and looks down at her jacket.
A pause.
A rare
smirk.
Owen
Zestwell:
“…That’s better.”
Ryan
blinks, slightly confused.
Ryan
Mercer:
“I’m sorry?”
Owen
gestures toward her jacket.
Owen
Zestwell:
“Orange. Strength. Power. Authority. You finally dressed like a champion
should.”
He taps
the faceplate of the United States Title.
Owen
Zestwell:
“This championship isn’t red, white, and blue to me. It’s forged in fire. It’s
forged in grit. It’s forged in orange.”
Ryan
smiles professionally but presses forward.
Ryan
Mercer:
“Speaking of championships, there are rumors that several contenders are
positioning themselves for a shot at your title. Do you have anyone specific in
mind?”
Owen
squares his shoulders.
Owen
Zestwell:
“I don’t wait for challengers. I deal with them.”
He leans
slightly toward the camera.
Owen
Zestwell:
“If you want this title, you step into my ring… you stand in my color… and you
survive thirty minutes with me.”
He pauses.
Owen
Zestwell:
“No one has.”
Ryan nods.
Ryan
Mercer:
“Is there anyone on the roster you feel is even close?”
Owen lets
out a low chuckle.
Owen
Zestwell:
“Close isn’t enough.”
He adjusts
the championship around his waist.
Owen
Zestwell:
“Tell whoever’s next to bring courage… and maybe an orange jacket.”
He turns
and walks off frame, shoulders squared, leaving Ryan to face the camera.
Ryan
Mercer:
“There you have it. Owen Zestwell is ready for whoever steps up next for the
United States Championship.”
The camera
lingers briefly on the title plate before—
CUT TO
COMMENTARY.
The camera
returns to the arena as the crowd continues buzzing after the backstage
interview with the United States Champion.
J.R.
Holland:
“Owen Zestwell is everything you want in a United States Champion — proud,
direct, and ready to fight anyone who steps forward. That wasn’t arrogance.
That was conviction.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Oh please, J.R., that was a walking motivational poster dipped in pumpkin
spice.”
The crowd
reacts with a mix of laughter and boos.
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
‘Forged in orange’? What does that even mean? It’s a championship, not a
traffic cone.”
J.R.
Holland:
“It means he takes pride in what he represents. Owen isn’t hiding behind
anyone. He’s not ducking challengers. He’s daring them to bring their best.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Or maybe he just likes hearing himself talk. Confidence is cute until somebody
with real speed or real strategy takes that belt off his waist.”
J.R.
Holland:
“You sound like you’re hoping that happens.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“I believe in balance. And right now? The scales are a little too orange for my
taste.”
The crowd
swells again as the lights in the arena begin to dim.
J.R.
Holland:
“Well whether you like the color or not, Owen Zestwell has earned his place.
And now, it’s time for our main event.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Oh this one? This one could shake things up in a hurry.”
The music
cues up as the tension rises in the building.
The arena
lights cut to black.
A low,
simmering red glow spreads across the stage as a darker, aggressive theme
begins to pulse through the speakers.
“No
Mercy Given” by Iron Reign
Boos rain
down immediately.
Nico “The
Inferno” Burnett steps onto the stage in his red-and-gold jacket, sunglasses
reflecting the arena lights. Behind him, Julian Furnace adjusts his scarf
confidently, scanning the crowd with smug approval.
Nico
smirks.
He extends
his arms slowly, soaking in the hostility.
J.R.
Holland:
“Nico Burnett has been waiting for this opportunity. But tonight, he steps into
the biggest fight of his career.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“And he belongs here. Nico has the speed, the instincts, and most importantly —
the brains behind him in Julian Furnace.”
Nico
struts down the ramp, pointing toward the ring, jawing at fans along the way.
Julian lingers a half-step behind, whispering last-second strategy.
They enter
the ring deliberately. Nico climbs the second rope and poses as the boos
intensify.
Julian
remains at ringside, cool and calculating.
The lights
cut again.
Darkness.
Then—
A burst of
blazing orange floods the stage.
Heavy
percussion crashes through the speakers as a heroic, driving instrumental hits.
“Forged
in Iron” by Steel Dominion
The crowd
explodes.
Owen
Zestwell steps onto the stage with the HCW United States Championship strapped
firmly around his waist. No theatrics. No taunting.
Just
focus.
J.R.
Holland:
“And here comes the champion.”
Owen
pauses at the top of the ramp, adjusting the championship slightly, eyes locked
directly on Nico inside the ring.
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Oh here we go. The orange parade.”
Owen
marches down the ramp with purpose, slapping a few outstretched hands but never
breaking focus.
J.R.
Holland:
“This is what a fighting champion looks like. No shortcuts. No excuses.”
Owen steps
through the ropes and immediately removes the championship, raising it high
above his head.
The crowd
roars again.
Nico
stares back through his sunglasses, jaw tight.
Julian
shouts instructions from ringside.
Referee
“Honest” Abe takes the championship and holds it up between them.
The
tension thickens.
Champion
and challenger step forward.
The crowd
builds.
The bell
is moments away.
The bell
rings and Nico explodes early with crisp armdrags, using speed to frustrate the
powerhouse champion.
J.R.
Holland:
“Nico Burnett trying to keep Owen off balance early. That’s smart strategy.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Speed kills, J.R. And Owen looks a half-step behind.”
Owen
absorbs the flurry, then answers with a thunderous bodyslam that shakes the
ring. From there, he slows the pace — grinding side headlocks, heavy pressure,
deliberate control.
Nico
refuses to be contained, countering with a Hot Shot and sharp strikes to the
eyes whenever he finds space. The challenger keeps trying to create chaos.
Midway
through the match, Owen muscles Nico up and launches him out of the ring with
brute force. Nico scrambles back in at five, jawing at the champion.
Moments
later, things escalate.
Julian
Furnace distracts the referee just long enough to reach in and trip Owen at the
ropes, giving Nico an opening.
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“That’s ring awareness! That’s teamwork!”
J.R.
Holland:
“That’s interference, Clarkus.”
Nico
capitalizes, driving Owen into the barricade outside the ring. The fight spills
to the floor — and the crowd rises.
Owen
finally snaps.
He grabs
Nico by the throat, hauls him up…
…and
POWERBOMBS him straight through the announce table.
The table
explodes in a shower of debris.
The crowd
erupts.
J.R.
Holland:
“OHHH MY— THROUGH THE TABLE!”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“This idiot just destroyed our workspace!”
Julian
Furnace retreats in shock as Owen stands over the wreckage, chest heaving.
Referee
“Honest” Abe begins the count.
1…
2…
3…
Owen rolls
back into the ring.
4…
5…
6…
Nico stirs
in the rubble.
7…
8…
He crawls
toward the apron.
9…
He
collapses.
The bell
rings.
RESULT:
Owen
Zestwell retains the HCW United States Championship via count-out.
Owen
doesn’t celebrate wildly. He stands in the ring, staring down at Nico laid out
in broken wood and wreckage.
J.R.
Holland:
“Owen Zestwell didn’t win the way he wanted to… but he proved something
tonight.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“He proved he can’t keep Nico down in the ring. That was an escape hatch. AND
he destroyed our workspace. I hope Max
fines the crap out of him!”
J.R.
Holland (she rolls her eyes):
“No. That was a message.”
The camera
lingers on the wreckage of the shattered announce table as officials help Nico
Burnett to his feet. Julian Furnace argues with Referee “Honest” Abe, insisting
the count was too fast.
Inside the
ring, Owen Zestwell stands tall, the HCW United States Championship raised high
above his head as orange light washes over the arena.
The crowd
roars.
J.R.
Holland:
“Owen Zestwell retains the United States Championship in a brutal main event
here on Shockwave! It may have ended in a count-out, but there is no question
who delivered the defining moment tonight.”
Replay
rolls of the powerbomb through the announce table.
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Oh please. He didn’t pin him. He didn’t submit him. He threw him into
furniture and let the referee do the rest.”
J.R.
Holland:
“He powerbombed him through our announce table, Clarkus.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“And I’m still emotionally recovering from that, thank you very much. But let’s
be honest — Nico Burnett had the champion in trouble multiple times tonight.
That wasn’t domination. That was desperation.”
Owen
climbs the turnbuckle and raises the title again. The crowd chants his name.
J.R.
Holland:
“Desperation? That was power. That was authority. That was a champion who
refuses to be outmaneuvered.”
At
ringside, Nico glares up at the ring while Julian whispers something in his
ear. The challenger looks furious.
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“This isn’t over. You don’t end a rivalry like this with a count-out. You
escalate it.”
J.R.
Holland:
“If Nico wants another opportunity, he’ll have to earn it.”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Oh, he will. And next time? No tables to hide behind.”
Owen
stands center-ring, championship held high, staring directly toward the ramp
where Nico and Julian retreat.
J.R.
Holland:
“For Clarkus ‘C.K.’ Kentus, I’m J.R. Holland — thank you for joining us tonight
on HCW Shockwave!”
Clarkus
“C.K.” Kentus:
“Buy orange at your own risk, folks.”
The camera
fades out on Owen, the United States Championship glimmering under the lights
as Shockwave goes off the air.
