Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter!”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“A brand new year, a brand new chapter, and we are live from Columbia, South Carolina! Welcome to HCW Live Wire!”

The camera sweeps across a fired-up crowd, signs already flying—“WELCOME TO 2026,” “HCW FOREVER,” and “NO MORE DOMINION.”

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Johnny, this is the first HCW broadcast of 2026, and the energy in this building is electric.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“You can feel it, Mike. New rivalries, unfinished business, and tonight, some very powerful forces collide.”

Suddenly—

🎵 [Entrance music hits]

The crowd erupts as Max McGillicutty steps onto the stage. No entourage. No intimidation. Just confidence, calm authority… and a genuine smile. The reaction is loud and positive.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“And listen to this reaction! That’s the General Manager of HCW—Max McGillicutty!”

Max steps into the ring, soaking in the moment before raising a microphone.

Max McGillicutty:

“Columbia… Happy New Year.”

(cheers)

“I want to start 2026 the right way—by saying thank you. Thank you to every fan who stood by HCW through chaos, conflict, and change. Last year tested this company… but we’re still standing.”

(crowd applauds)

“And tonight? Tonight is about momentum. It’s about competition. It’s about reminding the world what this ring represents.”

Max pauses, letting the moment breathe.

“No shadows. No control. No Dominion.”

The crowd reacts loudly.

“Just competition… heart… and the very best athletes in this industry.”

Max nods.

“So let’s stop talking and start 2026 the right way. Welcome to HCW Live Wire.”

He lowers the mic and exits the ring to a strong ovation, giving a nod to fans at ringside before taking a seat at the commentary desk.

Back at the Desk

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“What a way to kick off the new year, Johnny. The tone has been set.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“You can feel the shift, Mike. This isn’t about control anymore—it’s about competition. And it starts right now.”

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Let’s get to it!”

Opening

Tony Calibur:
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to HCW Live Wire! We are coming to you LIVE from Columbia, South Carolina, and what a way to kick off 2026!”

The crowd roars as the camera sweeps across the arena—signs waving, energy crackling.

Tony Calibur:
“We have a huge night ahead of us, and we are starting things off with high-octane action. Let’s send it to the ring!”

A sharp electronic pulse fills the arena as ‘Lightning’ Ethan Hayes bursts through the curtain. He slaps hands along the ramp, bouncing on the balls of his feet, eyes locked on the ring like a sprinter at the blocks.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“This young man lives up to his nickname, Johnny. Lightning-fast, fearless, and always pushing the pace.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“If Sterling Silverman isn’t ready from the opening bell, he’s gonna get run right over.”

The music cuts sharply.

A smug digital tone replaces it as Sterling ‘the Silicon Tycoon’ Silverman steps onto the stage in a pristine jacket, smirking as he adjusts his cuffs. He walks with calculated confidence, soaking in the boos like a stock ticker climbing.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“This guy thinks he’s the smartest man in every room he walks into.”

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“And tonight he’s looking to prove that brains beat speed.”

The bell rings.

Hayes explodes out of the gate, snapping Silverman backward with a sitout gourdbuster, sending the crowd into an early frenzy. Sterling scrambles to his feet, stunned, only to eat another sharp burst of offense as Hayes keeps the pressure on.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Lightning is wasting no time!”

Silverman slows things down, drawing Hayes in before cracking him with a swinging neckbreaker that finally halts the momentum. He smirks, tapping his temple before grinding Hayes down with methodical offense.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“That’s experience right there. Silverman knows how to change the pace.”

The match swings back and forth—Hayes firing off jawbreakers and dropkicks, Silverman answering with punishing slams and calculated counters. A Million Dollar Dream nearly ends it, but Hayes refuses to quit, dragging himself toward the ropes as the crowd roars.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“That’s heart! That’s survival!”

Silverman grows frustrated, shouting at Slow-Count Sam, allowing Hayes to rally with a flurry of kicks and a thunderous basement dropkick that sends Silverman reeling.

The pace accelerates. Both men trade offense in the center of the ring—neither backing down.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“This is turning into a war of wills!”

Silverman attempts another Silicon Slam, but Hayes wriggles free, explodes off the ropes—

BOOM!

A Pendulum Dropkick connects flush.

The arena erupts.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“HE GOT ALL OF IT!”

Hayes hooks the leg.

ONE!
TWO!
THREE!

Winner: ‘Lightning’ Ethan Hayes

The crowd roars as Hayes rolls to his knees, chest heaving, eyes wide with disbelief and pride. Sterling Silverman sits stunned near the ropes, shaking his head in frustration.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“What a way to start 2026! Ethan Hayes just proved he can hang with anyone!”

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“That was heart, resilience, and raw athleticism. What a statement to open the year!”

Hayes climbs the turnbuckle, raising his arms as the fans erupt once more.

Tony Calibur:
“The following contest is scheduled for one fall!”

The crowd buzzes as the lights dim slightly.

A powerful, heroic theme hits as Biceps Bannerman steps through the curtain, slapping his arms together and pumping his fists with confidence. The crowd responds instantly, feeding off his energy as he marches toward the ring.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“This man brings intensity every single time he steps between those ropes. Biceps Bannerman is all heart, all grit.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“And don’t forget—he’s been itching for a fight like this. Someone who won’t back down.”

Bannerman climbs the turnbuckle and raises both arms, soaking in the reaction before dropping to the mat and pacing, eyes locked on the entrance ramp.

The arena lights dim again — this time with a far more sinister tone.

A low, ominous beat echoes as ‘Vicious’ Vinnie Albano steps through the curtain, flanked closely by Pierre Boulay. Vinnie rolls his shoulders, cracking his neck as Boulay whispers something into his ear, pointing toward the ring.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“And here comes trouble. Vinnie Albano never comes alone, and he never comes to play fair.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“That’s because Pierre Boulay doesn’t believe in fairness — only results.”

Boulay straightens Vinnie’s collar and gives a slow, confident nod. Vinnie smirks, rolling into the ring under the bottom rope and immediately jawing at Bannerman.

The referee, ‘Slow-Count’ Sam, steps between them, holding both men back as the tension crackles.

Tony Calibur:
“And this one is ready to explode!”

The referee signals for the bell.

The bell rings and both men waste no time. Biceps Bannerman charges forward, throwing a thunderous clothesline that nearly flips Vinnie Albano inside out. The crowd erupts as Bannerman roars and pounds his chest.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Bannerman is all power right out of the gate!”

Vinnie stumbles back into the corner, but he responds the only way he knows how — with violence. He rams Bannerman chest-first into the turnbuckles, grinding his forearm across his throat before snapping off a brutal strike that halts the momentum.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“That’s Vinnie Albano — dirty, deliberate, and dangerous.”

The match becomes a tug-of-war. Bannerman muscles Vinnie off his feet with a thunderous spinebuster, only for Vinnie to spit in his face and lash out with a vicious strike that drops the powerhouse to a knee. The crowd rains down boos as Pierre Boulay shouts instructions from ringside.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Boulay’s got his fingerprints all over this one.”

Vinnie presses the advantage, slamming Bannerman into the corner again and again before whipping him across the ring. But Bannerman explodes back with a massive lift-and-slam that shakes the canvas.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“That’s raw strength! You can’t teach that!”

The fight spills toward the ropes. Bannerman sends Vinnie tumbling to the floor, and the crowd roars as ‘Honest’ Abe begins the count. Vinnie barely beats it back inside, using the apron to pull himself upright.

Vinnie immediately lashes out with a sudden superkick that rocks Bannerman, followed by a crushing blow that staggers him back into the corner. The momentum shifts again.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“This match has turned into a war of attrition!”

Vinnie charges—but Bannerman explodes forward, catching him with a crushing kick to the midsection and launching him backward. The crowd senses it.

Bannerman hauls Vinnie up and wrenches him into the Biceps Crunch.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“HE’S GOT IT LOCKED IN!”

Vinnie thrashes wildly, reaching for the ropes. Pierre Boulay hops onto the apron, shouting instructions—trying to will his man free—but Bannerman tightens the grip, veins bulging as the hold cinches in deeper.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“There’s nowhere to go!”

Vinnie—
TAPS OUT!

Winner: Biceps Bannerman

The crowd explodes as Bannerman releases the hold and rises to his feet, chest heaving. He raises his arms in triumph while Boulay pulls Vinnie out of the ring, fury etched across his face.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“What a statement! Biceps Bannerman just overpowered one of the meanest men in HCW!”

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“That was strength, resilience, and heart. Bannerman earned every bit of that win.”

Bannerman stands tall in the center of the ring as the fans roar—unaware that darker forces are already watching from the shadows.  Pierre helps Vinnie out of the ring and helps him to the back.  Biceps celebrates with the fans before heading back himself.

Backstage Confrontation Segment

The camera cuts backstage. The noise of the arena hums faintly in the distance.

Count Vlad stands in shadow, dressed immaculately, hands folded behind his back.
Beside him stands Bloodfang Viktor Drakov, silent and unmoving.

A few steps away, Max McGillicutty walks into frame, having just left commentary.

There is no surprise in Vlad’s eyes.

Count Vlad:

“Max… how refreshing to see you standing so proudly.”

Vlad tilts his head slightly, studying him.

“You speak of new years. Of clean slates. Of freedom.”

A faint, knowing smile.

“But history does not erase itself simply because you wish it gone.”

Max remains calm, arms folded.

Max McGillicutty:

“I’m not afraid of history, Vlad. I learned from it.”

Vlad steps closer—but not threateningly. Calculated.

Count Vlad:

“Ah… and that is precisely why you should be afraid.”

A pause.

“You see, the Dark Dominion does not wither because a man walks away.”
“It adapts.”

His voice lowers.

“We are no longer loud. No longer reckless.”
“We are… patient.”

Vlad gestures subtly toward the arena.

“You look out there and see order.”
“I see opportunity.”

He leans in just enough for the camera to catch the intensity in his eyes.

“And when the time comes… you will realize the truth.”

A chilling half-smile.

“We are more dangerous now than we have ever been.”

Max doesn’t flinch.

Max McGillicutty:

“Then you’d better hope your people can still win without hiding in the dark.”

Vlad chuckles softly.

Count Vlad:

“Oh, Max…”
“Darkness is not where we hide.”

A beat.

“It is where we wait.”

Vlad turns and walks away with Bloodfang. The camera lingers on Max—calm, but clearly processing what was just said.

Back to Commentary

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“That… was unsettling.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“Max says the past is behind him, but Vlad just made it very clear—this story isn’t over.”

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“And with Bloodfang up next, that warning might come with teeth.”

Tony Calibur:
“The following contest is scheduled for one fall!”

High-energy music hits and the crowd responds instantly as Cara Loco bursts through the curtain, pacing with wild intensity and confidence. He slaps the guardrail on his way down the ramp, feeding off the noise, eyes already locked on the ring.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Here comes Cara Loco — unpredictable, explosive, and absolutely fearless!”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“This guy doesn’t calculate risk, Mike. He embraces it.”

Cara slides into the ring and pops to his feet, pacing like a coiled spring, never taking his eyes off the entranceway.

The lights dim.

A low, ominous tone rolls through the arena as Count Vlad steps onto the stage, hands folded calmly behind his back. A moment later, ‘Bloodfang’ Viktor Drakov emerges beside him—slow, deliberate, and cold.

The crowd reaction turns tense.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“And here comes the enforcer of the Dark Dominion.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“Bloodfang doesn’t rush. He stalks.”

Drakov marches to the ring with methodical purpose, stepping between the ropes and fixing his stare on Cara Loco. Vlad remains at ringside, silent and composed.

Tony Calibur:
“Your referee for this contest… ‘Honest’ Abe!”

The official signals for the bell as both men square off, neither willing to give an inch.

The bell rings, and the tension is immediate.

Bloodfang Viktor Drakov stalks forward, shoulders hunched, eyes locked on his prey. Cara Loco meets him head-on, refusing to give ground. The two collide in the center of the ring, trading heavy strikes as the crowd comes alive.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“This one feels personal already.”

Drakov muscles Cara back with a vicious strike to the midsection, but Cara fires back with a sudden belly-to-belly slam that rattles the ring. The crowd roars as Cara feeds off the energy, pushing the pace.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“Cara Loco is throwing everything he’s got at Bloodfang!”

Drakov answers with brute force—driving Cara into the mat, grinding him down, then yanking him upright to punish him again. Each impact echoes, methodical and merciless.

The momentum swings wildly. Cara explodes with a running crossbody, then another, forcing Drakov backward. Vlad watches closely from ringside, his expression unreadable.

Suddenly—
Cara snaps his head toward Vlad.

The crowd gasps as Cara Loco lunges and throws a sharp right hand, catching Count Vlad clean across the jaw.

The arena erupts.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“HE JUST TOOK A SHOT AT COUNT VLAD!”

Vlad stumbles back, stunned, his composure shattered for the first time. Officials rush toward him as Drakov roars in fury inside the ring.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“That might be the biggest mistake of Cara Loco’s career!”

Drakov charges, unloading a brutal barrage, punishing Cara for the insult. The match turns savage — power slams, headbutts, and crushing blows exchanged with reckless abandon.

Cara refuses to stay down.

He rallies with a sudden surge — a running crossbody, then another — before planting Drakov with a devastating Sister Abigail. The crowd explodes as Cara hooks the leg.

ONE!
TWO!
THREE!

Winner: Cara Loco

The building erupts.

Cara pushes himself up, breathing heavy, adrenaline surging — but the celebration doesn’t last.

Suddenly—

Marcus Black, The Morningstar, and Azrael storm the ring.

The crowd erupts in boos as the three surround Cara Loco.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Oh no… this is not good!”

They swarm him, boots and fists raining down. Cara fights back wildly, catching one attacker, then another — but the numbers overwhelm him.

Before they can fully drag him down, Cara bursts free and dives between the ropes, sprinting up the aisle and into the crowd.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“He’s gone! Cara Loco just escaped into the audience!”

Security floods the aisle as the Dark Dominion members seethe in the ring.

At ringside, Count Vlad slowly regains his composure. He straightens his coat, eyes burning with cold fury as he stares into the crowd where Cara vanished.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Cara Loco just made himself a marked man.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“And something tells me… this is far from over.”

Championship Developments Beyond HCW

Following a discussion between HCW owner Donnie B and NPCW’s Bob Cratchit, it was determined that Van Helsing will be crowned the Convergent Champion.

As part of this decision, Van Helsing will relinquish both the Northern Lights Championship and the HCW Television Championship

With the announcement of Van Helsing vacating the TV title, Max has said a battle royal will be held to crown a new champion.  Anyone holding any singles title will not be eligible to participate.  Van Helsing will defend the title for the first time on the debut episode of HCW Shockwave.

The camera lingers on the aftermath of chaos — security helping officials regain order as the crowd buzzes with adrenaline.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Cara Loco just lit a fuse that may burn for a long, long time.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“You don’t strike Count Vlad and walk away without consequences. That much I can promise you.”

The camera pulls back as officials clear the ring and restore order.

Tony Calibur:
“The following contest is scheduled for one fall!”

A confident, upbeat theme hits as Tony Ricca steps through the curtain. He slaps hands with fans on both sides of the ramp, nodding with calm confidence as he heads toward the ring.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Tony Ricca is the kind of competitor who earns respect everywhere he goes. Tough, disciplined, and always ready.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“He’s not flashy — he’s effective.”

Tony rolls into the ring, stretches against the ropes, and keeps his focus forward.

The arena shifts as Jack Lumber’s music hits. The crowd erupts.

Jack steps out with intensity in his eyes — calm, focused, and resolute. He pauses at the top of the ramp, scanning the crowd before making his way to the ring.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“And here comes a man who has walked through fire and come out stronger on the other side.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:

“Jack Lumber doesn’t forget who he is — and he doesn’t forget who tried to break him.”

Jack steps into the ring and locks eyes with Ricca. A respectful nod passes between them before the referee calls for the bell.

AI-generated content may be incorrect.

The bell rings and both men step forward cautiously, testing the distance between them. Tony Ricca reaches in first, locking up with Jack Lumber, but Jack quickly powers free and snaps a sharp kick to the midsection.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Jack Lumber wasting no time — he came here to compete.”

Tony absorbs the blow and fires back with a tight side headlock, grounding Jack momentarily before Lumber muscles out and drives him backward with authority. The two men exchange crisp strikes, neither willing to give an inch.

Jack levels Tony with a heavy spear that sends the crowd into a frenzy, but Ricca shakes it off, responding with stiff chops and a sudden atomic drop that halts Jack’s momentum.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“This is just two professionals throwing everything they’ve got at each other.”

The pace intensifies. Jack drops Tony with a thunderous TIMMMMMBEEERRRRR, but Ricca refuses to stay down, rallying with a powerful bodyslam and a sharp forearm that rattles the ring.

Both men dig deep. They trade uppercuts, neither backing away, neither blinking. The crowd rises as Jack plants a crushing chop across Ricca’s chest, but Tony fires back with a sudden counter that nearly steals the match.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Neither man is giving an inch!”

Jack fights back, lifts Ricca, and drives him down with a thunderous Atomic Drop. He hooks the leg.

ONE!
TWO!
THREE!

Winner: Jack Lumber

The bell rings as the crowd erupts.

Jack pushes himself to his feet, breathing heavy but composed. Tony Ricca rolls to a knee, nodding with respect before rising as well.

The two men lock eyes.

Then—
a firm handshake.

The crowd responds warmly as Tony raises Jack’s arm, acknowledging the fight. Tony steps through the ropes and heads up the ramp, giving a final nod back toward the ring.

Jack remains behind for a moment, soaking in the cheers. He places a hand over his heart, then climbs the turnbuckle to salute the fans on all sides.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“That’s what competition is all about.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“Respect earned the hard way.”

Jack drops back to the mat and exits the ring, slapping hands along the aisle as the crowd continues to cheer.

BACKSTAGE – DARK DOMINION

The camera abruptly cuts backstage.

Count Vlad stands in the shadows, adjusting his coat with controlled precision. Behind him loom Marcus Black, The Morningstar, and Azrael — silent, watchful.

Vlad exhales slowly.

Count Vlad:

“He struck me… and believed that bravery.”

A faint smile curls at the corner of his mouth.

“It was desperation.”

He turns slightly, eyes glinting.

“Let him run.”

The others lean in.

“The hunt has already begun.”

Marcus Black cracks his knuckles. The Morningstar tilts his head. Azrael folds his arms.

Vlad steps forward, his voice calm but venomous.

“When the night closes in… he will understand what it means to be seen.”

The camera lingers on their cold expressions before cutting back to the ring.

The camera lingers on the ring as Jack Lumber exits through the crowd, still acknowledging the fans. The energy remains high—but there’s an unease beneath it.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“What a showing from Jack Lumber tonight. Respect earned the hard way.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“Yeah, but Mike… I can’t get what we saw earlier out of my head.”

The camera cuts briefly to a replay of Count Vlad’s cold stare from earlier in the night.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“That wasn’t just a warning. That was a promise.”

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Vlad made it very clear—life in HCW is about to get a whole lot more dangerous.”

The lights dim slightly as the crowd murmurs.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“And speaking of danger… our next contest features two competitors who know exactly how to thrive in chaos.”

Tony Calibur:
“The following contest is scheduled for one fall!”

A low, ominous rhythm pulses through the arena as Luciana Albano steps through the curtain, stone-faced and composed. At her side stands Pierre Boulay, dressed immaculately, surveying the crowd like a general inspecting a battlefield.

Luciana moves with confidence, never once acknowledging the fans as she makes her way down the ramp.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Luciana Albano walks with purpose — and with Pierre Boulay in her corner, she’s never without a plan.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“That’s not confidence, Mike. That’s entitlement.”

Boulay leans in and whispers something to Luciana before she steps through the ropes, removing her jacket and fixing her gaze on the entrance ramp.

The arena lighting shifts. A darker presence settles in as Talia Nocturne emerges, calm and unflinching. Her eyes remain locked forward, her posture cold and controlled.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“And here comes Talia Nocturne — calculating, ruthless, and never shaken.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“You can feel it when she walks out. This isn’t just competition… it’s intention.”

Talia steps into the ring, never breaking eye contact with Luciana. The tension is thick enough to cut with a knife.

Tony Calibur:
“Your referee for this contest… ‘Honest’ Abe!”

Both women stand nose-to-nose as the official signals for the bell.

A group of people in clothing

AI-generated content may be incorrect.

The bell rings and neither woman wastes a second.

Talia Nocturne storms forward, immediately snapping Luciana Albano down with a sharp slingblade. Luciana rolls through the impact and fires right back with a brutal pendulum facebuster, rattling Talia and drawing a reaction from the crowd.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“This is not a feeling-out process — this is personal.”

The two exchange heavy blows in the center of the ring, neither giving an inch. Talia surges with momentum, dropping Luciana with a crushing fireman’s carry facebuster, but Luciana absorbs it and grins through the pain, refusing to stay down.

At ringside, Count Vlad watches intently.

Moments later, Vlad suddenly reaches in—creating just enough distraction for Luciana to snap off another vicious facebuster.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“There it is! Vlad inserting himself again!”

Talia stumbles but roars back, unleashing a vicious combination of strikes and a pendulum backbreaker that bends Luciana nearly in half. The match begins to tilt in Talia’s favor as she stalks her opponent with cold precision.

Luciana fights back desperately, catching Talia with a brutal strike and then a punishing facebuster of her own, but Talia keeps rising—relentless and unshaken.

The two women trade control at a frantic pace: suplexes, counters, reversals, neither willing to stay down.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“This is turning into a war of attrition!”

Talia fires off another crushing slam, nearly scoring the win, but Luciana barely escapes before the three-count.

Frustration flashes across Talia’s face.

Then chaos.

As Talia pulls Luciana up again, Count Vlad suddenly shoves referee ‘Honest’ Abe, sending him stumbling. The crowd erupts in boos.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“Oh come on! That’s blatant!”

The distraction costs Talia her moment. Luciana takes advantage, driving a knee into her ribs and hammering her back to the mat.

But Talia refuses to break.

She surges up again, catching Luciana with a devastating Pendulum Backbreaker, followed by another crushing slam. Luciana struggles to breathe as Talia stalks her.

The two collide one final time — suplexes traded, momentum swinging wildly — until Talia explodes forward with a final Slingblade, sending Luciana reeling.

Talia wastes no time.

She drops down and locks in the Nightmare Choke.

Luciana claws at the mat, reaching desperately for the ropes, but there’s nowhere to go.

She taps.

Winner: Talia Nocturne

The bell rings as the crowd reacts loudly, split between awe and shock.

Talia releases the hold and slowly rises, eyes cold and focused.

Pierre Boulay immediately slides in, pulling Luciana out of harm’s way, glaring toward the ring.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Talia Nocturne just survived everything thrown at her — including interference — and still came out on top!”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“But look at Vlad… he’s not finished with her.”

Post-Match Moment

Talia stands tall in the center of the ring, chest heaving, staring directly at Count Vlad.

Vlad slowly claps.

Once.
Twice.

A thin smile crosses his face.

Talia doesn’t flinch.

She raises her chin, unblinking.

The message is clear.

The camera lingers on Talia Nocturne, still standing tall in the ring as officials help Luciana Albano to her feet at ringside. Pierre Boulay glares back toward the ring, barking orders as he escorts Luciana away.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Talia Nocturne just went through absolute hell tonight — interference, chaos, and pure brutality — and she still stood tall.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“Yeah, but let’s not kid ourselves, Mike. The shadow hanging over this place tonight? That shadow’s name is Count Vlad.”

The camera cuts briefly to the entranceway where Count Vlad stands motionless, hands folded behind his back, eyes locked on the ring.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“We’ve seen his influence all night long… and somehow, it feels like we’re only scratching the surface.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“And that brings us to our main event.”

Main Event

HCW Heritage Tag Team Championship Match

The arena lights flare bright as Steel Justice bursts onto the stage. Both men pause, taking in the crowd reaction before striding forward with purpose.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Here come the challengers — Steel Justice. Discipline. Precision. And tonight, an opportunity of a lifetime.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“They’ve fought through everyone put in front of them, and tonight they’re aiming straight at the top.”

Chrisari pounds his chest as Alex throws his arms wide, hyping the crowd before they slide into the ring and take opposite corners, eyes locked on the entrance ramp.

The lights drop.

A low, ominous hum fills the arena as Count Vlad steps into view first, hands clasped calmly behind his back. The crowd erupts in boos as the champions emerge behind him — Nightfang and Dr. Red Fang, moving with cold precision.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“And here come the champions… the Fangs of Despair.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“And where they go, darkness follows.”

Vlad slowly gestures toward the ring, and the champions advance. They step through the ropes and take their corners, never taking their eyes off Steel Justice.

Vlad remains outside, watching silently.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“This is it. Championship gold on the line.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“And with Count Vlad at ringside… anything can happen.”

The referee steps forward, raising the championship belts high for all to see.

The crowd roars.

The bell rings and the crowd roars as both teams circle, tension thick in the air. Nightfang opens aggressively, smashing into Kellyn Chrisari with a crushing strike, forcing an early tag to Alex Justice. Alex responds with speed and precision, catching Nightfang with a clean dropkick that sends him reeling.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“This crowd has been waiting for this one all night!”

Steel Justice find their rhythm early, tagging smoothly and isolating Nightfang with crisp double-team offense. A perfectly timed combination sends Nightfang stumbling back to his corner, where Dr. Red Fang tags in, bringing a sudden shift in momentum.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“You can feel the temperature change when Red Fang enters the ring.”

Dr. Red Fang imposes his will, bending Alex into painful holds and cutting off his escape. The champions work methodically, switching tags and grinding the challengers down with ruthless precision.

But Steel Justice refuses to stay buried.

Alex explodes with a soaring strike, tagging in Chrisari, who storms the ring with relentless aggression. A double-team sequence rocks Nightfang, forcing the champions into retreat.

The match turns chaotic — bodies flying, tags flying, momentum shifting by the second.

As the action spills near the ropes, Count Vlad rises from his seat, eyes narrowing.

Suddenly—

Cara Loco vaults the barricade!

The crowd erupts as Cara darts toward ringside, drawing the full attention of Vlad. Without hesitation, he throws a sharp punch that forces Vlad to take a step back.  He makes sure to avoid contact this time.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“CARA LOCO JUST TOOK ANOTHER SWING AT COUNT VLAD!”

The arena explodes.

Before security can react, the lights flicker—

And standing at the entrance ramp is Ashen Vicar.

Silent. Motionless. Watching.

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“No… no, no—what is he doing here?!”

Vlad freezes.

For the first time all night, his composure cracks.

He doesn’t shout.
He doesn’t move.

He simply stares.

Inside the ring, the distraction proves fatal.

Steel Justice strike with precision — a double-team sequence that rattles Nightfang, followed by Alex soaring through the air with the Celestial Spiral Leg Drop.

ONE!
TWO!
THREE!

**Winners and NEW HCW Heritage Tag Team Champions:  Steel Justice**

The arena erupts.

Chrisari and Justice embrace as the crowd cheers wildly. The referee hands over the titles as fireworks erupt overhead.

Outside the ring, Cara Loco backs into the crowd, never taking his eyes off Vlad.

Ashen Vicar slowly raises his head… and then vanishes into the shadows.

Vlad stands frozen.

His jaw tightens.
His composure finally fractures.

He turns away sharply, signaling to the Fangs of Despair as they regroup, fury written across his face.

Mike ‘the Voice’ Johnson:
“Count Vlad still stands—but for the first time, the darkness around him is shifting.”

Johnny ‘the Hammer’ Harris:
“And when something that powerful starts to fracture… everyone around it better watch where the pieces fall.”

The camera lingers on Vlad’s clenched fist as the crowd roars behind him.

Stay Tuned.  We are only getting started.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2026 #1175 – 01/01 - A New Year

Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.

As we begin a new year, it is important to take a moment to reflect on where HCW stands following a turbulent close to 2025. The past several months reshaped the foundation of this company in ways few could have predicted, and as we move forward, clarity and transparency remain our priority.

This edition is not tied to a live event. There are no matches scheduled, no entrances, and no arenas filled with noise. Instead, this is a moment to take stock of where HCW stands, what has changed, and what lies ahead.

A Shifting Landscape

The final months of 2025 brought significant change across HCW. Championships changed hands, alliances fractured, and long-standing power structures weakened. The Dark Dominion, once firmly in control, has lost significant ground.

Yeti and Feral have returned north, removing two major presences from HCW programming. Their departures further reduce the Dominion’s influence, which has already been weakened by the loss of multiple championships. While the group remains dangerous, its control over HCW is no longer absolute.

Van Helsing defeated the Rich Athlete at NPCW’s Boxing Day event on 12/26/25 to become a dual champion holding the HCW TV Title and the NPCW Northern Lights Title.  Congratulations to the champ.

A Reckoning Within

Candace Hart Interviews Jack Lumber, Korbi Kong & Max McGillicutty

Candace Hart stood with Jack Lumber, Korbi Kong, and Max McGillicutty, the weight of the past year clearly present even before a word was spoken.

Candace Hart:
“Over the last year, the three of you have stood at the center of some of the most controversial moments in HCW. Fans questioned your loyalty. Your motives. Some believed you had turned your backs on everything this company stood for. Tonight, you finally have the chance to address that.”

Jack Lumber nodded slowly before speaking.

Jack Lumber:
“We knew this day would come. We knew people would hate us for what we did. And we accepted that… because the truth is, the Dominion couldn’t be challenged from the outside anymore.”

He paused, choosing his words carefully.

Jack Lumber:
“We had to get close. Closer than anyone ever should.”

Korbi Kong stepped forward.

Korbi Kong:
“Every day we played a role. Every day we wore the weight of it. People thought we’d lost ourselves — and maybe, for a while, we did. But we never forgot why we were doing it.”

Candace turned to Max.

Candace Hart:
“You were the one many believed had truly crossed the line.”

Max didn’t flinch.

Max McGillicutty:
“I let them believe it. I let them think power mattered more to me than this company. Because once they trusted me… they stopped watching me.”

He exhaled slowly.

Max McGillicutty:
“That’s when the truth started to come out.”

Candace looked between them.

Candace Hart:
“So this was never about betrayal?”

Jack shook his head.

Jack Lumber:
“No. It was about survival. About making sure HCW still had a future once the smoke cleared.”

Korbi added quietly:

Korbi Kong:
“And that future isn’t guaranteed yet.”

The three stood in silence for a moment — not victorious, not defeated — just aware of the cost still to come.

The Cold Hard Truth – Live with Count Vlad

Truth Wayne stood in a dimly lit backstage space.  Normally, this new segment would take place in the ring.  But for now, tonight, the atmosphere was tense long before his guest arrived.

Count Vlad stepped into frame calmly, his presence controlled, his expression unreadable.

Truth Wayne:
“Count Vlad… the Dominion has lost championships, influence, and allies. Many would say this is the beginning of the end.”

Vlad regarded him carefully before responding.

Count Vlad:
“People often confuse loss with weakness.”

He folded his hands slowly.

Count Vlad:
“I misjudged those closest to me. That is true. But understanding one’s failure is not defeat — it is education.”

Truth held his ground.

Truth Wayne:
“You’ve been outmaneuvered. Even by those who once served you.”

Vlad allowed a brief pause.

Count Vlad:
“A cornered animal is not harmless, Mr. Wayne. It is focused.”

His voice remained calm, almost reflective.

Count Vlad:
“The Dominion has changed. That does not mean it has ended.”

Truth studied him carefully.

Truth Wayne:
“So what comes next?”

Vlad’s gaze did not waver.

Count Vlad:
“Consequences.”

No more words followed. Vlad turned and walked away, leaving the weight of that single word behind.

Backstage Confrontation – Ruby Howl and Grizelda

Following her victory at Zero Hour, the new Heritage Women’s Champion Ruby Howl was making her way through the backstage area, the championship resting firmly on her shoulder. The fatigue of the match was evident, but so was the confidence of someone who had just proven she belonged.

As Ruby rounded the corner, she came to a sudden stop.

Waiting for her was Grizelda.

The two locked eyes, neither moving at first. The tension was immediate — not explosive, but deliberate.

Grizelda:
“Ruby Howl.”

Ruby adjusted the championship on her shoulder but did not step back.

Ruby Howl:
“If you’re here to take a look, you’ve had your moment.”

Grizelda tilted her head slightly.

Grizelda:
“You didn’t just win a championship tonight.”
“You proved you belong among those who can carry it.”

Ruby studied her carefully, cautious but unflinching.

Ruby Howl:
“I didn’t come this far to have someone tell me what I earned.”

Grizelda nodded once.

Grizelda:
“I hold a contract for that title.”

The words hung in the air. There was no movement toward Ruby. No challenge issued.

Grizelda:
“But I won’t take this moment from you.”

Ruby tightened her grip on the championship.

Ruby Howl:
“Then say what you came to say.”

Grizelda stepped slightly closer — not threatening, not retreating.

Grizelda:
“I’m not here to steal.”
“I’m here to warn.”

Ruby didn’t blink.

Ruby Howl:
“About what?”

Grizelda’s tone remained calm.

Grizelda:
“Enjoy this victory.”
“Because when I challenge for that championship…”

She paused, choosing her words carefully.

Grizelda:
“You’ll know I chose you.”

With that, Grizelda lowered the microphone and stepped away, disappearing down the corridor without looking back.

Ruby stood still for a moment, then adjusted the championship on her shoulder once more — steady, composed, and unshaken.

The message had been delivered.
