The Voltage theme — “Shock Current” by Thunderstrike Union — blares through the Columbia Arena as blue and gold strobe lights whip across a sold-out crowd. The cameras sweep the stands filled with fans waving signs reading “COUNT VLAD IS EVERYWHERE,” “YETI IS COMING,” and “CONVERGENCE OR BUST.” Pyro erupts along the stage as the broadcast cuts to ringside.
Sam Duffy:
“Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter! We are live from the Columbia Arena, and tonight’s Voltage is running hotter than a live wire in a lightning storm!”
Rick Granger:
“You said it, Sam! We’re just two weeks out from Convergence, and the HCW roster is fighting like their contracts depend on it — because for some of them, it does!”
Sam Duffy:
“You’re not kidding. After last week’s chaos, Evan Stockwell now holds the Contract-in-a-Case — but The Yeti wants it, Tony Albano thinks he earned it, and I’m told that later tonight, Max McGillicutty will address this mess personally!”
Rick Granger:
“And that’s not all — Selena Blackfang defends the World Ladies Championship against Lavender Gooms, Grizelda squares off with Ruby Howl, and our main event… well, it’s a pole-dancing contest with fists! That briefcase is going way up, and three of HCW’s wildest are going to try to bring it down!”
Sam Duffy:
“Let’s not forget, we’ll hear from Evan Stockwell, Tony Albano, and The Yeti throughout the night — and Count Vlad himself will be joining us for commentary during that main event. Columbia’s going to need a bigger generator!”
The crowd roars as the Voltage graphic flashes on-screen: “TONIGHT – BRIEFCASE ON A POLE!” The music fades, and the lights reset to the ring, where Tony Calibur stands ready with microphone in hand.
Tony Calibur:
“Ladies and gentlemen, your opening contest is scheduled for one fall…”
The opening notes of “Too Perfect for You” by Velvet Parade hit as Chic Monroe struts onto the stage in his rhinestone robe, preening for the camera. The crowd boos loudly as he spins in slow motion under a spotlight.
Rick Granger:
“The most beautiful man in wrestling has arrived, Duffy — and he’s about to teach Ovaltine Jackson that style is stronger than strength.”
Sam Duffy:
“Or he’s about to get a reminder that charisma and country charm make a heck of a combo. Let’s kick things off!”
The crowd’s boos cascade through the Columbia Arena as “Too Perfect for You” by Velvet Parade pulses through the speakers. A pink spotlight sweeps across the entrance ramp as Chic Monroe emerges in a sequined, rose-gold robe with his name glittering across the back. He struts in slow motion, holding a handheld mirror to admire his reflection before blowing a kiss to the camera.
Rick Granger:
“Take a good look, Duffy! That’s what perfection looks like. Style, grace, confidence — and not a hair out of place.”
Sam Duffy:
“He’s got the look, sure — but this is Voltage, not a runway. Ovaltine Jackson’s been serving humble pie to egos like Monroe’s since before that mirror had fingerprints.”
Chic reaches the ring, ascends the steps like a fashion model walking the catwalk, and sits on the middle rope, gesturing for Tony Calibur to “introduce the future star properly.”
Tony Calibur:
“Introducing first, from Palm Springs, California… weighing in at two hundred and twenty pounds of pure perfection… the Epitome of Elegance — SUPERSTAR CHIC MONROE!”
Monroe raises both arms and twirls, soaking in the boos like applause. He mouths “You’re welcome” before flicking his scarf toward the timekeeper’s table.
Then, the music cuts — replaced by a smooth country-funk riff: “Mayberry Shuffle” by Big Jug & the Sweet Teas. The crowd bursts into cheers as Ovaltine Jackson steps through the curtain in denim overalls, waving his hat and flashing a gap-toothed grin.
Sam Duffy:
“There he is! Straight outta Mayberry, North Carolina — and all heart, all humor, and all fight!”
Rick Granger:
“I can’t take a man seriously who brings moonshine to a water fight.”
Sam Duffy:
“You say that now, but it’s that same moonshine that fuels a mean right hook!”
Ovaltine jogs to the ring, slapping hands with fans, even stopping to share a mock sip from his jug with a ringside fan wearing a ‘Team Ovaltine’ T-shirt. He slides under the bottom rope and points at Chic’s mirror, miming a punch through the glass. The crowd roars as Monroe hides the mirror behind the referee.
Tony Calibur:
“And his opponent — from Mayberry, North Carolina… weighing in at two hundred and thirty-one pounds of southern sunshine — OVALTINE JACKSON!”
The bell hasn’t even rung yet, but Ovaltine leads the crowd in a playful chant: “OVAL-TINE! OVAL-TINE!”
Monroe scowls, covering his ears.
Rick Granger:
“They’re chanting his name like he’s a soda flavor.”
Sam Duffy:
“That’s homegrown charisma, Rick — and right now, it’s got Columbia electric!”
The referee calls both men to the center of the ring as the bell sounds — and Voltage officially gets underway.
MATCH #1 – Ovaltine Jackson vs. Superstar Chic Monroe
The bell rings, and the Columbia crowd is already buzzing. Chic Monroe smirks, dusting imaginary lint from his shoulder; Ovaltine Jackson tips his hat to the fans before winding up for a friendly handshake that Monroe turns into a quick cheap shot—only for Ovaltine to duck and nail a Curtain Call Inverted DDT right out of the gate! The audience explodes, but Monroe recovers with his catlike agility and snaps back with a Straight-Jacket Suplex that plants the Mayberry man on the mat.
Sam Duffy:
“Both men trading bombs before the biscuits are even baked!”
Rick Granger:
“Chic Monroe doesn’t do warm-ups, Sam—he’s perfection from the bell.”
The pace stays red-hot for several minutes—Ovaltine popping the crowd with a Springboard Back Elbow, Monroe answering with European precision and the occasional smug hair-flip between holds. They spill to ringside when Ovaltine levels him with a Spinebuster, but Monroe trips him out to regroup, taking his time to admire his reflection in a ringside fan’s phone. The crowd jeers as he blows them a kiss.
Back inside, Ovaltine rallies with his Director’s Cut Powerslam, nearly scoring a three-count, but Monroe slides a shoulder out at the last heartbeat. The next stretch becomes a chess match—Monroe’s surgical knees and suplexes versus Ovaltine’s down-home grit and thunderous power slams. Every time Ovaltine gets rolling, Monroe slips loose, dragging him into chinlocks and posing mid-hold.
Rick Granger:
“He’s controlling the pace, dictating the fashion and the flow!”
Sam Duffy:
“Until Ovaltine breaks loose—and there he goes again!”
The crowd surges as Ovaltine counters a Bicycle Kick with a Giant Hip Toss, then chains into another Spinebuster. He tries for the pin—one! Two! Monroe powers out, clutching his jaw. At mid-match, Monroe turns vicious: a Gutwrench Suplex, then a pair of Bicycle Kicks that stagger the Southerner. The fans rally behind Ovaltine, chanting “MAY-BER-RY!” as he shakes it off, counters a Knee to the Gut, and fires back with another Curtain Call Inverted DDT! Both men collapse to the canvas as ‘Honest’ Abe begins his count.
They drag themselves up and trade heavy strikes in the center of the ring. Monroe hits a Cradle Facebuster; Ovaltine answers with an Oscar Sit-Out Rear Mat Slam for another near-fall. The crowd is electric—every move met with dueling chants.
Sam Duffy:
“These two are giving Columbia their money’s worth tonight!”
Rick Granger:
“Monroe’s robe probably costs more than this whole building.”
Sam Duffy: “Then I hope he brought a spare, because Ovaltine’s about to wrinkle it!”
By minute 25, both are exhausted yet defiant—Monroe connects with a Swiss Uppercut, Ovaltine immediately retaliates with a Giant Hip Toss that shakes the ring. They trade DDTs, suplexes, even tumble through the ropes, barely beating the referee’s ten-count. The final minute sees them collide in a blur: Monroe lands a sharp Uppercut, but Ovaltine catches him mid-stride and plants him with one last Director’s Cut Powerslam!
Sam Duffy:
“DIRECTOR’S CUT! DIRECTOR’S CUT!”
Rick Granger:
“He’s not gonna—no way—”
1… 2… 3!
The bell rings, and the crowd erupts as “Mayberry Shuffle” hits the speakers. Ovaltine rises, battered but grinning ear-to-ear, pulling off his hat to salute the roaring fans.
Tony Calibur:
“Here is your winner… OVALTINE JACKSON!”
Ovaltine climbs the ropes, pointing his jug toward the fans in celebration. Chic Monroe rolls out clutching his jaw, muttering “uncultured peasants” while refusing assistance.
Sam Duffy:
“Ovaltine Jackson pulls off another barn-burner! That was thirty minutes of pure voltage right there!”
Rick Granger:
“He didn’t win on looks, I’ll give him that—but he won on heart, and tonight the crowd’s all in on Mayberry.”
Ovaltine slaps hands at ringside as Voltage cuts to a commercial bumper promoting Convergence Day 1 on the Scrooge Network.

November 15 • LIVE ON PAY-PER-VIEW

POST-COMMERCIAL COMMENTARY REACTION
The Convergence Night One commercial fades out in a blast of snow and pyro. Back inside the Columbia Arena, the crowd is buzzing — some chanting “H-C-W!” while others chant “N-P-C-W!” in response.
Sam Duffy: “Folks… if your heart ain’t pounding after that lineup, check your pulse. The North Pole is sending its army, and HCW is marching right into the blizzard.”
Rick Granger: “And may I remind everybody watching — NPCW chose to show that ad during our show. That’s a message, Duffy.”
Sam Duffy: “Message received — and answered. HCW isn’t backing down. Zack Brown, Mr. X, Luciana Albano, Feral, and the Rich Athlete… they’re representing this company with pride.”
Rick Granger: “We’re headed toward a storm, and tonight’s action is just adding fuel to the fire.”
Sam Duffy: “Speaking of action — let’s get back to the ring!”
Guitars snarl as “Wanted Dead or Alive (Deadlier Remix)” by Iron Stallion hits the speakers. A spotlight sweeps toward the stage as Jake “The Bounty Hunter” Montrose strides out in his duster coat, jaw clenched, wanted-poster graphic behind him on the Titan-Tron. The crowd cheers loudly — a gritty roar for a grit-fueled fighter.
He taps his glove twice, looks straight into the camera, and mouths: “Another bounty collected.” Then he heads down the ramp with focused swagger.
Tony Calibur: “Introducing first — from Canyon City, Colorado… weighing two-hundred and forty-seven pounds… The Bounty Hunter — JAKE MONTROSE!”
Sam Duffy: “Montrose has been a breakout force this fall. If there's a fight to be found, this man rides toward it.”
Rick Granger: “Jake Montrose always looks like he just dragged someone out of the desert and dropped them at the sheriff’s desk.”
The music cuts. A thud — then a second thud. Bagpipes blare. “Belfast Breaker” by The Iron Shamrocks kicks in as Bruiser McPugg stomps through the curtain, fists wrapped, war-drum cadence in his walk. He pounds his chest, points at Montrose, and cracks his neck.
Tony Calibur: “And his opponent — from Belfast, Ireland… weighing two-hundred and sixty-one pounds… BRUISER MCPUGG!”
Sam Duffy: “This is a head-on collision, folks. A bounty hunter and a brawler — no finesse, just fists.”
Rick Granger: “I hope ringside has dental insurance, because someone’s losing teeth.”
DING! DING!
The match begins…
MATCH #2 — Bruiser “Cauliflower” McPugg vs. “The Bounty Hunter” Jake Montrose
The bell rings and these two don’t circle — they collide. McPugg wastes no time, chopping Montrose across the chest hard enough to echo to the cheap seats. Montrose snarls but eats another neck-jarring attack as McPugg lands a Reverse Neckbreaker, only for the Bounty Hunter to fire right back with a brutal Loaded Headbutt Drop that rattles the Belfast bruiser’s jaw.
Sam Duffy: “This isn’t feeling-out, this is walking into a bar and throwing the first punch.”
Rick Granger: “And both men threw one at the same time.”
They fight for control in the corner — Montrose trying to drive McPugg’s skull into the buckle, but the Belfast powerhouse blocks and returns fire with a stiff shot to the ribs. Montrose answers later with forearm smashes and another of those freight-train headbutts, but McPugg refuses to give him an inch.
The crowd is wincing with each exchange — these aren’t fancy reversals, these are fists and bone. McPugg drops Montrose with another neckbreaker, then traps him in grinding chinlocks and rough, old-school grappling.
Rick Granger: “You want fancy wrestling? Wrong match. This is two men trying to break each other’s faces.”
Sam Duffy: “And maybe the ring while they’re at it.”
Montrose finally creates daylight with a big Clothesline that nearly spins McPugg inside out. He strings together a Turnbuckle Smash and clubbing blows that soften up the Irishman. But McPugg shrugs off the storm like an iron gate in a hurricane. A vicious backdrop suplex plants Montrose flush, and the ref checks him.
Montrose staggers but waves him off — he’s still in the fight. The crowd claps in respect.
McPugg clubs him again — and again. They trade shots center-ring, neither man taking a backward step. McPugg cracks him with a Power Bomb attempt, Montrose kicks out, but the momentum has swung. Montrose tries a burst of desperation offense — a gut kick, forearm flurry — but McPugg smothers him with that bulldog pressure of his.
At minute 18, a Power Bomb nearly ends it. Montrose kicks out at two and a half, eyes glazed.
Sam Duffy: “Montrose is still in it, but how much is left?”
Rick Granger: “When the bounty hunter gets hunted — this is what it looks like.”
McPugg smells blood. A stomp. A chinlock to grind the air away. A thunderous Shoulder Breaker weakens Montrose’s arm. Then, after one last desperate exchange, McPugg hoists him up one more time —
BOOM — POWER BOMB!
1… 2… 3!
The ref calls it. Montrose rolls off clutching his back, chest heaving, staring up at the lights in frustration but pride still in his eyes.
Tony Calibur: “Here is your winner… BRUISER ‘CAULIFLOWER’ McPUGG!”
McPugg raises a fist — not arrogant, just battle-worn and victorious. As he leaves, Montrose sits up, nodding to the crowd, who give him a respectful applause.
Sam Duffy: “No shame in that fight. That was two grown men swinging for survival.”
Rick Granger: “Montrose may have lost — but he didn’t break. He’ll be hunting again.”
Fade to a quick graphic: “Still to come tonight — Evan Stockwell, Tony Albano, The Yeti — and our Main Event Briefcase on a Pole Match!”
BACKSTAGE — Evan Stockwell & Ruth Heartless Interview
Camera cuts to the interview zone backstage. The HCW logo glows behind a velvet rope backdrop. Candace Hart stands poised, microphone in hand, as the crowd reaction hums in the arena.
Candace Hart: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the most recent Contract-in-a-Case winner, Evan Stockwell, accompanied by his advisor, Ruth Heartless.”
Evan Stockwell steps into frame in a sharp midnight-blue suit jacket, the briefcase tucked under his arm like a trophy. Ruth Heartless stands beside him, arms crossed, smug grin like she owns the building.
Candace Hart: “Evan, congratulations on securing the contract. Now—”
Evan Stockwell (smirking, cuts her off):
“Candace, there’s no need to congratulate greatness. Destiny doesn’t need applause… only recognition.”
He taps the case lightly.
Evan Stockwell:
“Everyone wants to talk about The Yeti. Tony Albano. Who deserves a shot. Who earned a moment. The truth… is standing right here.”
Ruth Heartless leans in, laughing softly, patronizingly.
Ruth Heartless:
“Oh, Candace… imagine thinking heart, legacy, or family name are more valuable than IQ and opportunity.”
She runs her hand across the briefcase.
Ruth Heartless:
“Evan didn’t ‘get lucky.’ He planned, he struck, he won. That’s the difference between him and the rest of these sweet, stubborn dreamers.”
Evan Stockwell:
“The Yeti thinks power makes destiny? Tony Albano thinks surviving a beating earns a reward?”
He scoffs.
Evan Stockwell:
“Power without purpose is wasted. Survival without strategy is luck.”
He looks into the camera, eyes narrowing.
Evan Stockwell:
“And tonight… when this briefcase rises above the ring and I claim it again? Everyone will finally understand… HCW doesn’t belong to the strongest man in the room…”
He lifts the case slightly, Ruth smirks as if posing for a portrait.
Evan Stockwell:
“—it belongs to the smartest.”
Ruth taps the case twice, like sealing a deal.
Ruth Heartless:
“See you at the winner’s circle, darlings.”
Stockwell and Ruth turn and walk off, confident and unbothered, as Candace watches them leave.
Candace Hart:
“Back to you at ringside.”
The arena lights dim to a deep ember glow. A low, eerie wind sound sweeps through the Columbia Arena before it abruptly cuts — replaced by a sharp electric guitar howl and a pounding drumbeat. “Huntress Born” by Lunar Fang Battalion kicks in as Ruby Howl bursts through the curtain with explosive energy, clad in crimson and silver gear, hair braided tight, eyes wild with focus.
She throws her head back and lets out a defiant howl to the crowd — and they answer with cheers. Ruby slaps hands with fans on one side of the aisle, then pounds her chest twice and races to ringside, sliding under the bottom rope and hopping up onto the second turnbuckle to raise a clenched fist.
Sam Duffy: “Ruby Howl with fire in her heart tonight — she’s been sharpening her claws since House of Horrors!”
Rick Granger: “Yeah, because she knows entering the shadows with the Dark Dominion is like stepping into the wolf’s den and asking, ‘Mind if I sit?’”
Tony Calibur:
“Introducing first — from the Shadowed Trails of the Appalachian Woods… weighing in at one hundred and thirty-eight pounds… RUBY HOWL!”
Ruby drops to the mat, pacing like a predator, loosening her shoulders and keeping her eyes locked toward the stage.
The lights die. A single spotlight flickers. The arena hums like something crawling under the skin. Then…
💀 GONG. 💀
A deep, ceremonial drum echoes. Purple mist rolls across the entrance ramp as “Blood of the Old Coven” by The Choir of Bone and Ash begins — a slow, ritualistic chant layered with dissonant strings.
Grizelda steps into the light first — pale eyes glowing through dark, rune-painted veil, robes flowing like shadow made flesh. She carries a small talisman of bone and thorn, clutching it to her chest as if whispering to it.
Then the crowd erupts in boos as Count Vlad materializes behind her, hands clasped behind his back, suit immaculate, expression carved in cold stone. He follows her slowly, regal and venomous, as if he summoned this moment from history.
Rick Granger: “And business just picked up — the Master of the Dominion walks among us.”
Sam Duffy: “Where Count Vlad goes, danger tends to follow.”
Ruby steps forward, unafraid, pointing at Vlad like a hunter marking a target. Vlad merely smirks, almost amused.
Grizelda glides to the edge of the ring stairs, pauses, then whispers over her talisman — and the lights flicker. Vlad steps aside gracefully, watching Ruby with predatory fascination as Grizelda enters the ring without ever breaking her ritual trance.
Tony Calibur:
“And her opponent… accompanied to the ring by Count Vlad… representing the Dark Dominion… the Witch of the Black Moon — GRIZELDA!”
Grizelda raises one hand, fingers curled like casting a spell — and the arena lights snap back to full. Ruby crouches in the corner, ready. Vlad stands ringside, arms folded, eyes fixed on the ring like a chessmaster observing his next move.
Sam Duffy: “Ruby Howl versus Grizelda — the hunt meets the hex, and Vlad has a front-row seat!”
DING DING!
MATCH #3 —Grizelda w/ Count Vlad vs Ruby Howl
From the bell, Ruby Howl comes in like she’s been waiting to unleash a storm, springing off the ropes with Red Moon Rising — a diving back senton — crushing Grizelda and igniting the crowd. The Witch rises hissing, answering with dark fury of her own, spiking Ruby with the Enchanted Ending sit-out piledriver, only for Ruby to grapevine the legs and torque an inverted cloverleaf in a shocking counter duel.
Sam Duffy: “These two came to hunt and hex right out of the gate!”
Rick Granger: “Ruby’s been saving that fire — but Grizelda brought a whole coven of curses with her.”
They trade stinging strikes — open-hand slap meets step-up enzuigiri — and the ropes shake under the intensity. Ruby strings together knife-edge chops and a cloverleaf that nearly forces Grizelda to the ropes, but Count Vlad reaches out, a single fingertip to Ruby’s chin from ringside, distracting her long enough for Grizelda to score.
Sam Duffy: “Classic Vlad — doesn’t swing the sword, just points where it should fall.”
Grizelda claws and contorts, snapping Ruby across the ring with hair-pull snap mares, but Ruby answers with grit and adrenaline — swinging DDT, Michinoku Driver, running elbow, keeping pace with the Witch’s venom.
Vlad shoves the referee during a tangle — a cold, casual push as if testing boundaries — but ‘Honest’ Abe is turned just enough that the Dominion escapes punishment.
Rick Granger: “Only Vlad could violate the rules like they’re beneath him and make it look elegant.”
Ruby absorbs a choke, then howls back to life, springing off the rope —
BAM! SPRINGBOARD BULLDOG!
Ruby hooks both legs — 1… 2… 3!
Tony Calibur:
“Here is your winner… RUBY HOWL!”
Ruby rises, chest heaving, pointing at Vlad and yelling, “Tell Mina I’m coming!” The crowd explodes — but the celebration ends instantly when—
The lights drop into blood-crimson.
WHOOSH — “Crimson Hymn” by The Thorns of Orpheus hits.
Talia Nocturne materializes from the shadows like a blade drawn in the dark. Ruby turns—
CRACK! Superkick to the jaw!
Talia pounces, raining down vicious forearms, ripping at Ruby’s braids, driving her face into the mat.
Sam Duffy: “Talia Nocturne! The Heritage Women’s Champion just ambushed Ruby Howl!”
Rick Granger: “You step into Dominion territory — you pay tribute in blood.”
Talia drags Ruby upright into the buckles and screams in her face before launching her with a Nurse’s Prescription Powerbomb variant, leaving her motionless.
She lifts Ruby’s chin, whispering, then draws a finger across her throat slowly — executioner cold.
BOOM—
Music shifts to pounding drums and wolf-howl distortion.
Scarlett Howl sprints down the ramp like she’s chasing prey, sliding into the ring. Talia slips away immediately — not fearful, but smirking, backing up toward Vlad and Grizelda on the stage.
Scarlett kneels beside Ruby, checking her, then stands at the ropes, screaming at Talia.
Ruby stirs, clutching her ribs. Scarlett helps her stand as the crowd roars.
Sam Duffy: “The Howl sisters stand tall — but the Dominion just marked another target.”
Rick Granger: “They didn't beat Ruby tonight — but they sure tried to break her.”
The camera cuts to Count Vlad, amused, hands folded behind his back like a king observing the battlefield. Talia stands beside him, eyes locked on Scarlett and Ruby, mouthing: “This is only the beginning.”
Fade to ringside.
BACKSTAGE — Selena Blackfang & Count Vlad
Camera opens in the Dominion’s private lounge — stone textures, velvet chairs, candlelight, and black banners stitched with silver fangs. The World Ladies Championship gleams across Selena Blackfang’s shoulder like a trophy of conquest.
Selena sits elegantly, posture regal, hands steepled under her chin. Count Vlad stands behind her throne-style chair, fingers lightly resting on the gold of her title, head bowed as though admiring a priceless artifact — or the queen who carries it.
Candace Hart approaches cautiously, microphone trembling slightly as crimson candles flicker around her.
Candace Hart:
“Selena, in just moments you defend the World Ladies Championship against Lavender Gooms—”
Selena Blackfang (soft, poisonous calm):
“Candace… do you smell it?”
Candace freezes, confused.
Selena Blackfang:
“The scent of fear. It lingers in these halls tonight like cold perfume. Lavender believes hope will carry her to victory. But hope… is a toy for the naive.”
She slowly raises her eyes, piercing.
Selena Blackfang:
“I am not a door to be opened. I am the wall she will break upon.”
Vlad steps forward, voice velvety and venomous.
Count Vlad:
“In HCW, many carry ambition. Few carry destiny. Selena does not defend the throne tonight, Candace. She reminds the world who sits upon it.”
He gently adjusts the title on her shoulder.
Count Vlad:
“Lavender will not challenge a champion. She will kneel before a queen.”
Selena rises with predatory grace, brushing past the camera. Vlad gives one final warning stare — calm, lethal, promising consequences.
Count Vlad: (cold smile)
“And do tell the medical staff to be ready. Tradition must be upheld.”
He gestures smoothly, and Selena glides out of frame; the camera struggles to follow but cuts instead to the arena.
A warm, upbeat melody hits — “Fresh Fields Forever” by Sunflower Riot. Lavender Gooms bursts from the curtain full of bubbly energy, spinning with arms wide as colorful confetti pops. She slaps hands, shoulders bouncing with optimism, firing up the crowd as she races to ringside.
Sam Duffy:
“Lavender Gooms doesn’t know the meaning of fear — she believes joy, confidence, and heart can conquer anything. And tonight she gets the chance of a lifetime.”
Rick Granger:
“Joy is great, Sam, but it doesn’t stop fangs and shadows. She’s stepping into a nightmare.”
Lavender hops to the apron, springboards into the ring, landing in a pose with a bright smile, rallying the crowd.
The arena falls into a frost-bitten hush. Torches flare crimson. “Crimson Hymn” by The Thorns of Orpheus rolls like a funeral procession. Thick fog spills across the ramp as Selena Blackfang emerges, the World Ladies Championship glimmering across her waist like a blood-ruby crown.
Count Vlad walks one step behind her, palms folded behind his back, face carved in regal menace.
Selena pauses on the ramp, head tilted like she’s listening to the heartbeat of the arena — then slowly raises her chin with sovereign disdain.
Rick Granger:
“That is a monarch walking to war.”
She ascends the steps with glacial grace, wipes invisible dust from the top rope before stepping through, and stands center-ring as Vlad remains outside — sentinel, judge, executioner-in-wait.
Tony Calibur:
“The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the HCW World Ladies Championship!
Introducing first — the challenger… LAVENDER GOOMS!
And her opponent — she is the reigning and defending World Ladies Champion… the Queen of the Dark Dominion… SELENA BLACKFANG!”
Selena removes the title slowly, reverently — presenting it like a sacred ritual — before handing it to the referee without breaking eye contact with Lavender.
Sam Duffy:
“Lavender looks ready.”
Rick Granger:
“She’d better be. They don’t give second chances in the Dominion.”
DING DING!
Match #4: Co-Main Event: Selena Blackfang w/ Count Vlad vs Lavender Gooms for the World Ladies Title
Lavender Gooms shocks the crowd early, scooping Selena up and planting her with a powerful Press and Slam, trying to crack the aura of the Dominion’s queen. But momentum turns fast — and violently — when Count Vlad slides one cold hand onto the apron and drives his other upward, flicking a razor-quick Transylvania Spike into Lavender’s ribs behind the ref’s back.
Sam Duffy: “That’s the problem with fighting the Dominion — it’s never one-on-one.”
Rick Granger: “In their kingdom? It never will be.”
Selena pounces like a predator scenting blood — blasting Lavender with another Spike-assisted counter, then a Spinning Leghook Fireman’s Carry Slam for a close two-count. Lavender digs deep, fighting back with guts and fire — landing a sliding kick, a legdrop, even locking in The Lavender Lock not once, but twice.
Sam Duffy: “Lavender Gooms refusing to quit — she believes she can shock the world tonight!”
Rick Granger: “Belief doesn’t beat royalty, Sam. Crowns are earned in blood, not hope.”
Selena breaks free, cold and methodical: Snap Suplex. Powerbomb. Headbutts. Modified Scorpion Crosslock. Lavender keeps kicking out, gasping, clawing for the ropes, getting flashes of hope — the crowd rallying behind her every surge.
Lavender manages one final burst, going for another Press and Slam, but Selena slips out — and everything stops as Vlad steps onto the apron again, a smirk carved in stone.
Count Vlad (soft, venomous): “Hope is a fragile thing.”
Lavender turns — and it’s all the window Selena needs.
BANG — BUTTERFLY DDT.
Lavender’s head spikes into the canvas. Selena floats over into a queenly cover.
1… 2… 3!
Tony Calibur:
“Here is your winner… and STILL the World Ladies Champion — SELENA BLACKFANG!”
Selena rises, emotionless as a winter monarch, lifting the title as Vlad joins her at ringside. Lavender lies clutching her head, spirit cracked but not broken.
Sam Duffy: “Lavender Gooms fought like her dream depended on it — but fate was stacked against her tonight.”
Rick Granger: “When you challenge the throne, you better bring an army. Lavender brought a smile.”
Selena steps on Lavender’s hand as she exits — not cruelty, just dominance — and Vlad offers a polite, predatory nod.
Selena leaves the ring while Count Vlad stays behind. He makes his way over to commentary.
Hospital Update — Zestwell Brothers
Graphics flash across the screen: medical cross, stretcher flashes, and “MEDICAL UPDATE — ZESTWELL BROTHERS.”
Sam Duffy:
“Ladies and gentlemen, we have an important update following the brutal Boxing Match at House of Horrors. Both Owen Zestwell and Thaddeus Zestwell were kept overnight for precautionary observation.”
Clips roll — stretchers beside one another, the brothers breathing heavy, sweat-soaked, both staring across the hall — hatred and respect tangled into something dangerous.
Sam Duffy:
“We are relieved to report that both men have been released from the hospital and are recovering at undisclosed locations.”
Rick Granger:
“And if you missed it — on those stretchers, when they locked eyes? Sam… that didn’t look like closure. That looked like chapter one.”
Sam Duffy:
“Agreed. Their war is far from finished.”
Crowd rises, buzzing. Camera pans to the announce desk where Count Vlad has joined Sam and Rick, seated with perfect posture, removing his gloves like royalty.
Sam Duffy:
“And folks — we have company. Count Vlad will be joining us for this main event only.”
Count Vlad (smooth, controlled menace):
“It is a night of destiny, gentlemen. I would not miss the coronation — or the downfall — of those who dare reach for power.”
Rick Granger:
“When the king sits ringside, the stakes get very real.”
Count Vlad (light chuckle):
“Oh, Mr. Granger… power does not make one real. Choices do. Tonight, three men choose who they will become.”
Briefcase Suspended Above Ring — Winner Claims Contract
Heavy drums shake the arena. Ice-blue smoke pours out. “Frozen Fury March” by Wintersteel Battalion hits.
Yeti stomps through the curtain, frost-painted shoulders heaving, and beside him slinks Feral, wild-eyed and snarling, claws dragging across the ramp as if taste-testing the air for weakness.
Sam Duffy:
“Where the Yeti goes, danger follows — and tonight he brought Feral as backup.”
Count Vlad (smiling):
“Every sovereign commands beasts. Some more literal than others.”
Yeti roars, pointing at the pole where the briefcase hangs, then slams the apron with a massive fist. Feral circles ringside like a predator searching for prey.
Spotlight shifts — arena turns gold.
“Golden Bloodline Anthem” by Legacy Estate hits.
Tony Albano, chin up, swagger blazing, storms out — no Pierre, no entourage. Just raw ego and Sicilian heat. He gestures around his waist — my shot, my moment — then points defiantly at Yeti.
Rick Granger:
“Tony Albano says he outlasted the Yeti at House of Horrors — and he came to collect.”
Count Vlad:
“Convenient memory. Survival without victory is merely… delayed defeat.”
Tony storms to the ring, shouting at Yeti — “YOU OWE ME!” — while Feral hisses back.
Lights dim to cool steel blue.
Beat drops — sleeker, modern theme: “Calculated Risk” by Chalkline Dynasty.
Evan Stockwell emerges in tailored combat gear, contract briefcase tucked under his arm like a trophy waiting to be reclaimed. He taps it twice, smirking, Ruth Heartless nowhere in sight — choosing to prove brilliance alone tonight.
He walks slowly, deliberately, staring down both men in the ring, then looks up at the briefcase above.
Sam Duffy:
“Evan Stockwell won it last week — tonight he defends it before he ever gets to use it.”
Count Vlad (approving tone):
“To rise, one must risk the fall. Ambition does amuse me.”
Evan rests the briefcase at ringside — symbolic — I will take it again.
Sam Duffy:
“Here we go — three men, one contract, no escape. The briefcase is raised — this is Voltage, and our main event is underway!”
DING DING DING
Match #5: The MAIN EVENT — Briefcase on a Pole Match - Yeti vs Evan Stockwell vs Tony Albano
The bell hits and the fight explodes instantly, all three colliding mid-ring in a storm of fists. Tony Albano fires the first big shot, surprising the crowd with a sharp dropkick that sends The Yeti stumbling back — only for the monster to absorb it and answer with a crushing boot that nearly decapitates him. Evan Stockwell jumps in immediately, driving Yeti into the corner with rapid-fire strikes, but Albano yanks Stockwell down and plants him with a snap suplex.
Sam Duffy: “This isn’t a match, it’s a trench war!”
Count Vlad: “And in war, gentlemen… the strong do not wait.”
Albano tries to scale the turnbuckles early, reaching upward at the briefcase, but Feral shrieks and claws the apron, throwing him off rhythm. Evan returns, dragging Tony down by the tights — only for Yeti to flatten both with a running avalanche splash that shakes the ring.
Stockwell rolls out and the crowd pops as Yeti brutalizes Albano with a trio of Tombstone Piledriver attempts, two of which Tony miraculously slips out of, only to eat a lariat that turns him inside out. Evan slides in again, lands a Dividend Dropkick that finally drops Yeti to a knee, then turns and blasts Tony with a charging forearm.
Evan scrambles up the turnbuckle — fingertips brushing the briefcase — when Yeti rises, grabs him by the ankle, and pivots him off into a powerbomb that draws a gasp from the building.
Albano, desperate, tackles Yeti through the ropes and the two brawl at ringside, crashing into the barricade and ring steps. Evan, smelling opportunity, scales the pole a second time — hands on the metal clasp — only for Yeti to rise again, climb the apron, and German suplex Evan off the turnbuckle like he weighs nothing.
Rick Granger: “Yeti is a natural disaster with boots on!”
Count Vlad: “He is inevitability made flesh.”
Tony reenters like a man possessed, Piledriver to Yeti!
The crowd explodes — Tony covers — but Slow-Count Sam moves like he’s underwater. Yeti kicks out at two with authority, sitting up and glaring like an awakened titan.
All three men stagger back to their feet.
All three swing.
All three collapse in the center of the ring.
The audience rises in a rumbling ovation.
Evan lunges again — Bull Press!
Tony answers — slingshot clothesline!
They both turn — Yeti snatches them — and DOUBLE CHOKESLAMS THEM to the mat.
Roaring, Yeti grabs Evan by the throat, lifts him, spins him —
TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER.
The ring rattles. Evan folds like a hinge.
Tony tries to leap in — Yeti swats him out of the air like nothing.
1…
2…
3.
The monster stands tall.
Feral slides into the ring, crouching at his feet like a wolf beside a king as Yeti clutches the contract case. Evan rolls to the ropes, dazed. Tony pulls himself up the turnbuckle, staring daggers, chest heaving with exhaustion and fury.
Sam Duffy: “That briefcase belongs to the beast now — and whoever holds HCW gold just felt frost on their neck.”
Count Vlad: “When winter desires a kingdom… it takes one.”
Yeti raises the contract high, the arena bathed in cold blue light as Count Vlad rises from commentary like a satisfied emperor and Feral howls to close the scene.
The Dark Dominion grows stronger.
The crowd is still buzzing as The Yeti stands center-ring, clutching the contract case with Feral crouched beside him like a winter wolfguard. The lights pulse icy blue. Count Vlad removes his headset slowly, but first leans in one last time…
Count Vlad: “To all who watch… remember this night well. The tides do not turn in HCW — they freeze.”
He rises, fixing his coat, walking calmly from the desk toward the ring.
Sam Duffy:
“Fans… what we witnessed tonight was domination on a terrifying level. The Yeti walked in a challenger — and walks out armed with a guaranteed title opportunity.”
Rick Granger:
“And whoever’s wearing gold… that chill in your spine? It ain’t the air conditioning. Winter is hunting you.”
Count Vlad steps into the ring beside Yeti. He places a hand on the monster’s shoulder and lifts his free arm toward the briefcase like presenting a crowned conqueror. Feral scrapes her claws across the ropes, eyes wide and wild.
Sam Duffy:
“Next week, the road to CONVERGENCE gets even more dangerous — and if this is the shape of things to come, HCW may never be the same!”
Rick Granger:
“A win like this sends a message — to the world champion, to the roster, to everyone. The Dark Dominion keeps stacking power, and now? They’ve got the most unstoppable force in the company carrying a guaranteed title shot.”
Yeti lifts the briefcase high one more time as snow-like sparks drift from the ceiling.
Sam Duffy:
“For Rick Granger and our guest tonight Count Vlad, I’m Sam Duffy saying — tune in next time, stay safe out there, and whatever you do…”
Rick Granger:
“…don’t turn your back on the Dark Dominion.”
The camera tightens in on Yeti’s cold stare as Vlad slowly smiles beside him.
Sam Duffy:
“Good night, wrestling fans — Stay tuned and we’ll see you next week!”
Fade out on Yeti raising the briefcase, Feral snarling, Vlad’s shadow stretching long behind them.
