Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. After being on the end of a brutal attack by Jack Lumber and the Dark Dominion, The Wicked Prophet was hospitalized and will be out for an undetermined period. I am sure that once he returns, he will be out for blood.
The New Sicilians (Dick and Vinnie Albano) have accepted the match with the Marconi’s (now known as La Famiglia Marconi). That will be later tonight.
We will also see Selena ‘Widows Fang’ Blackfang defend her newly won World Ladies Championship against the former World and Heritage Women’s champion Luciana Albano. Expect the sparks to fly.
We have an odd duck making his debut today. His name is Doofus Covfefe and we’re not quite sure what he’ll bring to the ring but I guess we’ll find out.
Count Vlad will also have the Nightstalkers in action tonight. Vlad is quickly expanding his teams’ dominance in the sport.
With that out of the way, let’s get this show going.
[The screen cuts to a dimly lit backstage area, where Count Vlad stands with his imposing brother Beastfang. The camera zooms in on Vlad's sinister grin as he begins to speak.]
Count Vlad: (with a menacing tone) "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to a night of unprecedented chaos. For those unfamiliar with me, I am Count Vlad, the mastermind behind the Dark Dominion. And beside me is my brother, the unstoppable Beastfang."
[Beastfang stands menacingly beside Vlad, his eyes burning with intensity.]
Count Vlad: "Tonight, we promise you something extraordinary. The Dark Dominion is not merely a faction; we are the embodiment of darkness and destruction. Our presence is enough to send shivers down the spines of our enemies."
[Beastfang cracks his knuckles, and the sound echoes ominously through the backstage area.]
Count Vlad: "We have a night of surprises in store, surprises that will redefine your understanding of fear and dominance. My brother and I have meticulously planned every moment, every action, and tonight, we will unveil the true power of the Dark Dominion."
[The camera pans to Beastfang, who glares into the lens, his presence alone causing unease.]
Count Vlad: "So, be prepared. The events of tonight will leave an indelible mark on this federation. The Dark Dominion will show you that there is no escaping the shadows. We are inevitable, and our reign of terror begins now."
[With a sinister laugh, Vlad motions for the camera to cut, leaving the audience in suspense for what the night holds. The screen fades to black, and the eerie atmosphere lingers as the show continues.]
Match #1: Julius Squeezer vs Doofus Covfefe
The Baby Shark/Jamie Tartt music begins (it’s an earworm so I won’t play it for you) and fans immediately boo him. He makes his way to the ring looking from right to left as his bright orange hair (is it a wig or dyed?) swishes with the head movement. He has a little trouble getting into the ring since he’s a bit on the heavier side. Once in the ring, he showboats yelling at the fans random things like “I’m going to build a wall…of championships. It will be a great wall and all you are paying for it HAHA.” The music changes and out comes Julius Squeezer. Julius gets a loud pop as he heads to the ring and enters. Doofus scoffs at him for interrupting his music. The match begins.
The match kicked off with Doofus Covfefe taking immediate control, executing a BIG SPLASH that sent Julius Squeezer reeling. The crowd erupted in boos, clearly showing their disdain for Doofus.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "Doofus Covfefe is wasting no time with that BIG SPLASH! The fans aren’t loving it, but he’s making his mark!"
Determined to gain the upper hand, Julius Squeezer quickly retaliated with a sharp Back Elbow. But Doofus wasn't easily deterred and countered with a VICIOUS LEGSWEEP, showing off his raw power and technique.
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "Impressive move by Doofus! This match is heating up, even if the fans are not happy about it!"
As the battle continued, Julius executed a flawless Vertical Suplex, hoping to turn the tide. Yet, Doofus met him with a crushing SCOOP SLAM, leaving the audience in mixed emotions of tension and excitement.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "Both of these guys are giving it their all! The energy is through the roof, but the fans are clearly behind Julius!"
The intensity grew as Julius delivered a powerful Steinerline, only for Doofus to respond with a painful WRENCHING ARMBAR. The crowd's boos grew louder, clearly supporting Julius as he struggled to break free.
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "The intensity is palpable! Neither wrestler is backing down, but the fans are rallying behind Julius!"
With the match nearing its climax, Julius attempted another Vertical Suplex. However, Doofus reversed it into a devastating SCOOP SLAM, igniting a wave of tension throughout the arena.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "What a reversal by Doofus! This match could go either way, but the fans want Julius to win!"
Julius then tried to pin Doofus, but Doofus kicked out just in time. The arena was electric with excitement, as fans chanted for Julius to triumph.
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "Julius is relentless! Can he secure the win? The fans are certainly on his side!"
Finally, Julius locked in his signature Gorilla Squeeze. Despite Doofus's desperate attempts to escape, he was forced to submit, and Julius emerged victorious. The crowd erupted in applause and cheers, celebrating the face of the match.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "Julius Squeezer has done it! What a match! What a finish! The fans are going wild!"
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "Incredible performance by both wrestlers. Julius Squeezer earned that win, and the fans couldn’t be happier!"
As Julius stood tall, basking in his well-deserved victory, the fans continued to cheer, showing their unwavering support for their hero. He then left the ring as Doofus argued with the referee.
Suddenly, a masked wrestler with wild hair protruding from his mask rushed into the ring and began attacking Doofus Covfefe. The crowd was in shock, unsure what to make of this mysterious figure.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "Who is this masked man? He’s attacking Doofus Covfefe with such ferocity!"
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "Wait a minute... Could this be Alejandro Guerrero? He disappeared after being kidnapped by the Dark Dominion!"
As Doofus Covfefe scrambled to escape, rolling out of the ring and running away, the crowd began to cheer for the masked wrestler.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "Covfefe is retreating! This masked man is relentless!"
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "The fans are starting to cheer for him! Could this be the resurgence of Alejandro Guerrero?"
The masked wrestler received a pop from the crowd as he pursued Doofus Covfefe, leaving the arena buzzing with speculation and excitement. The mystery of the masked man added another layer of drama to an already electrifying event.
Match #2: ‘the Magnificent One’ Juan Raul Fargo vs Matches Malone
Matches Malone came out first to a small pop. When JR came out, he was booed but he just dismissed the fans as he made his way into the ring. He attacked Malone right away starting this one off.
From the get-go, The Magnificent Juan Raul Fargo set the tone with a powerful RIGHT-HAND SMASH, leaving Matches Malone momentarily stunned. Fargo continued to showcase his dominance, taking early control of the match.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "Fargo is not wasting any time with that RIGHT-HAND SMASH!"
Matches Malone, determined to retaliate, executed a swift KICK TO STOMACH, momentarily shifting the momentum. Both wrestlers displayed their unique styles, with Fargo absorbing the punishment and pressing on.
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "Malone's kick has some serious impact, but Fargo is resilient!"
Fargo and Malone then traded SLEEPERHOLD and CHOKESLAM attempts, but neither could secure an advantage. The intensity continued to build as they grappled for control. Fargo executed a RAUL-RAM TO RINGPOST, successfully overpowering Malone's defense. The crowd watched in awe as Fargo's dominance grew.
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "Fargo's RAUL-RAM TO RINGPOST is devastating! Malone is in trouble!"
Despite a SPINNING PUNCH COMBO from Malone and a LIGHTS OUT maneuver, Fargo's MAGNIFICENT BODY SLAM and relentless KICK AND STOMP kept him in the lead.
In the final moments, Fargo hurled Malone out of the ring, while Malone flicked matchsticks in Fargo's face in a last-ditch effort. The referee began the count, and Malone, unable to recover in time, was counted out.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "And that's it! Malone is counted out! What a strategic move by Fargo!"
The Magnificent Juan Raul Fargo emerged victorious with a HURL OUT OF RING - Count Out over Matches Malone. The crowd erupted in mixed reactions, some cheering for Fargo's tactical win, others disappointed in Malone's defeat.
We head backstage where the former World Tag Team Champions Steel Justice are being interviewed. Kellyn says that they are invoking their rematch clause and next week, they will meet Terror Fang and Beastfang and will take back their belts.
Match #3: La Famiglia Marconi vs the New Sicilians w/ Pierre Boulay
Dick and Vinnie Albano came out accompanied by their manager Pierre and the trio are booed horrendously. Dick and Vinnie flip off the fans and make their way to the ring. The booing intensified as they jaw jacked with the fans getting them riled up. The music then changed and out comes Dominic and Rolf Marconi. The fans pop HUGE for them and they shake hands with them as they head to the ring. Pierre is whispering something to his team and we see evil smiles cross their faces. They of course attack the Marconi right off the bat and this one is immediately underway.
The match began with 'The Italian Thoroughbred' Dominic Marconi and 'Dirty' Dick Albano trading blows, each trying to gain the upper hand. Dominic executed a devastating BACKBREAKER, but Dick countered with a Rising Knee Strike. Despite the intense exchange, neither man gave in.
Dominic tagged in Rolf Marconi, and the Marconi brothers launched a coordinated double team assault. Rolf's FLYING DROPKICKS and Dominic's FRONT FACE LOCK left Dick reeling, but he managed to absorb the punishment and fight back.
The battle continued with both teams executing powerful moves. Rolf Marconi showcased his technical prowess with a ITALIAN CRAB, while Dick Albano and 'Vicious' Vinnie Albano combined their efforts for a brutal double team, including a THROW OUT OF RING that nearly led to Rolf being counted out. However, Rolf returned to the ring just in time and continued to fight.
Rolf attempted several pins, but Dick Albano resiliently kicked out each time. The match's intensity reached new heights as both teams exchanged punishing blows. Despite the Marconi brothers' best efforts, Dick Albano managed to tag in Vinnie, who brought fresh energy to the battle.
The New Sicilians continued their double team tactics, with Pierre Boulay providing underhanded support from ringside. Despite their underhanded moves, Dominic Marconi fought valiantly, even surviving a slip of a foreign object from Pierre to Dick. However, the relentless assault from Vinnie proved too much.
In a climactic moment, Vinnie executed a TAUNT AND TEASE, pinning Dominic Marconi for the victory. The New Sicilians celebrated their hard-fought win as the crowd reacted with a mixture of boos and disbelief.
Suddenly, Salvatore Albano rushed down to the ring and joined in the attack on La Famiglia Marconi. The situation looked dire until unexpected music hit the arena.
Lou Albano III
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "Wait a minute! It's Lou Albano III!"
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "But whose side is he on?"
Lou grabbed a chair and entered the ring. Dick and Vinnie clapped, welcoming their cousin. Just then, Lou BLASTED Salvatore with the chair, sending him out of the ring. He then double clotheslined Dick and Vinnie out of the ring. Pierre, seeing the chaos, jumped out of the ring like it was on fire.
Lou grabbed a microphone and addressed the crowd.
Lou Albano III: "Dominic made a call and now I'm here!"
Turning to Dick, Lou added, "We'll have a conversation in the ring next week."
The crowd erupted in cheers as Lou Albano III stood tall, signaling a new chapter in the ongoing rivalry.
Lou shook hands with Rolf and Dominic and the trio left the ring. We just learned that Rolf and Lou III actually teamed up back in Italy in Ponza Championship Wrestling back in the day.
[Backstage, the camera focuses on Luciana Albano and her manager Pierre Boulay as they prepare for the upcoming title match. Luciana, with an air of arrogance, smirks at the camera while Pierre stands confidently beside her.]
Luciana Albano: (with a condescending tone) "Selena Blackfang, you may hold the World Ladies Championship now, but your reign is nothing more than a fleeting illusion. I am the rightful champion, the true queen of this division, and tonight, I will reclaim what is rightfully mine."
Pierre Boulay: (smirking) "Count Vlad, you may think your dark schemes can protect Selena, but you have never faced a force like Luciana Albano. We are here to dominate, to crush any opposition, and to show the world who the real champions are."
Luciana Albano: "Selena, enjoy your moment in the spotlight because it will be short-lived. When I step into that ring, I will dismantle you piece by piece, and no amount of dark magic from your precious Count Vlad will save you."
Match #4: The Nightstalkers (Bloodfang and Shadowfang) w/ Count Vlad vs Adam Jameson & Billy Robbins.
Adam and Billy come out to a nice pop from the crowd. They shake hands with the fans and make their way into the ring. Their music is abruptly changed and out comes the Dark Dominion. Count Vlad leads the Nightstalkers to the ring as the crowd boos them heavily. They climb into the ring stepping over the top rope.
The match began with Adam Jameson executing a precise SPIN KICK on 'Shadowfang' Marcus Black, momentarily gaining the upper hand. Marcus absorbed the punishment and prepared for retaliation.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "What a start by Adam Jameson! He's showing no fear against the Dark Dominion!"
Jameson continued his onslaught with a REVERSE STF, causing Marcus to struggle. However, Marcus quickly tagged in 'Bloodfang' Viktor Drakov, who unleashed a powerful TRANSYLVANIA SUPLEX on Jameson, shifting the momentum.
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "Marcus tags in Drakov! Things are about to get brutal!"
Drakov's CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL and DRAKOV'S DESCENT showcased his dominance. He went for a pin, but Jameson resiliently kicked out. Marcus tagged back in and, with the help of Count Vlad's distraction, executed a devastating TRANSYLVANIA SPIKE, further weakening Jameson.
Count Vlad: "You cannot escape the darkness. The Dark Dominion will prevail!"
Despite Jameson's best efforts, Marcus and Drakov's relentless double teaming overwhelmed their opponents. Marcus's SNAP SUPLEX and REAPER'S SCYTHE left Billy Robbins reeling. The constant pressure forced multiple pin attempts, but Robbins showed incredible resilience.
In a desperate attempt, Robbins tagged in Jameson, who executed a series of hard kicks. However, the Dark Dominion continued their assault, with Marcus executing a PUMPHANDLE SLAM and a Flying Headbutt Drop.
As the match reached its climax, Marcus tagged in Drakov for a final double team. They combined their efforts with a RUNNING POWERSLAM ON FLOOR and CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL, leaving Jameson and Robbins defenseless.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "The Dark Dominion is unstoppable! Can anyone stand up to them?"
Marcus sealed the victory with a final Flying Headbutt Drop, pinning Robbins for the win.
Count Vlad: "The Dark Dominion stands triumphant. This is just the beginning of our reign!"
With the victory secured, Marcus Black and Viktor Drakov stood tall, basking in their triumph as the crowd booed. The Dark Dominion had once again demonstrated their supremacy in the ring.
Vlad and the Nightstalkers then leave the ring. Adam and Billy are checked on by the ref who makes sure they are ok and then accompanies them to the back.
[The camera then cuts to another part of the backstage area where Selena 'Widows Fang' Blackfang stands with Count Vlad. Selena's eyes burn with intensity as Vlad exudes an aura of malevolence. The Nightstalkers, fresh off their victory, stand proudly behind the World Ladies Champion.]
Selena 'Widows Fang' Blackfang: (with a venomous tone) "Luciana, you dare to challenge me? You may have been a champion in the past, but now, you face the Widow's Fang. I am the embodiment of darkness, and I will show you the true meaning of pain and suffering."
Count Vlad: (smirking) "Pierre Boulay, you may fancy yourself a strategist, but you have never encountered the cunning of Count Vlad. Selena and I are more than prepared for this challenge. We thrive in the shadows, and tonight, those shadows will consume Luciana Albano."
Selena 'Widows Fang' Blackfang: "Luciana, you will rue the day you stepped into my domain. Your arrogance will be your downfall, and I will stand victorious, holding the title that defines true power."
Count Vlad: "Prepare yourselves, for tonight, the Dark Dominion will reign supreme. There is no escape from the darkness and that awaits you."
[The camera fades to black, leaving the audience in anticipation of the upcoming title match between two fierce competitors and their equally formidable managers.]
Match #5: The Main Event: Selena ‘Widows Fang” Blackfang w/ Count Vlad vs Luciana Albano w/ Pierre Boulay.
The match started intensely with Luciana Albano landing a Sole Food on Selena 'Widow's Fang' Blackfang, immediately putting her on the defensive.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "Luciana wastes no time delivering that Sole Food! She’s here to reclaim her title!"
Selena quickly retaliated with powerful headbutts, stunning Luciana. The fierce exchange continued as both wrestlers showcased their signature moves, like Selena's Modified Scorpion Crosslock and Luciana's Riptide Pumphandle Bomb, resulting in a stalemate.
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "These two are giving it everything they’ve got! What a showdown!"
Luciana took control with a series of Belly to Back Pendulum Facebusters, pushing Selena to her limits. Each time Selena attempted to recover, Luciana was right there to execute another punishing move.
Pierre Boulay: "Luciana is demonstrating why she was a double champion. Selena won't be holding onto that belt for long!"
Despite the relentless assault, Selena managed to kick out of multiple pin attempts, proving her resilience. Count Vlad kept a watchful eye, ready to intervene if necessary.
Count Vlad: "Selena represents the Dark Dominion's might. She will not be dethroned so easily."
In the match's climax, Selena executed a breathtaking Apron Somersault Plancha, causing Luciana to tumble to the floor. Just as it seemed Selena had secured her victory, chaos erupted.
Korbi Kong stormed down the ramp and attacked Luciana on the outside, while Selena distracted the referee. Count Vlad took out Pierre Boulay with a swift, vicious strike, ensuring no interference.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "What is Korbi Kong doing here? This is absolute madness!"
With Luciana incapacitated, Korbi rolled her back into the ring and repeatedly smashed her with a steel chair. The brutal assault left the audience in shock and disbelief, with some young girls in the crowd crying at Korbi's change of heart.
Johnny "the Hammer" Harris: "This is brutal! Someone needs to stop this!"
As Selena and Vlad joined Korbi in the ring, the realization dawned on everyone. Korbi looked at Selena and raised her arm in a show of allegiance.
Count Vlad: "Welcome to the Dark Dominion, Viperfang. Together, we will reign supreme."
The arena was filled with gasps and stunned silence as Korbi Kong, now known as Viperfang, had just joined the Dark Dominion. The balance of power had shifted dramatically, leaving everyone in a state of disbelief, much like the shocking moment when Undertaker's streak was broken by Brock Lesnar.
Mike "the Voice" Johnson: "I can't believe what we’ve witnessed tonight. The Dark Dominion just grew stronger. Who will stop them now?"
The screen faded to black, leaving everyone eager to see the fallout from this unexpected turn of events.
I am not sure how may ‘holy shit’ moments we can have in just the first two shows of the year but if this is foreshadowing of things to come, HCW may be in a lot of trouble. Stay tuned.
