Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. On the card tonight, we expect to see the World Tag Team titles defended. We know that World Ladies Champion Korbi Kong will be in the house as will the Wicked Prophet. We are hearing that the Dark Dominion will be in action tonight so without further ado, let’s get this party started.
Pyro goes off starting off tonight’s show. Ghee Buttersnaps comes out first to a decent pop from the crowd. He interacts with the fans and then makes his way into the ring. The music suddenly changes and out comes the Wicked Prophet. Fans boo him but he ignores them…all but those in the Lumber Lounge. He goes over and steals some of their drinks and drenches them. He walks off and heads to the ring without uttering a single word. He climbs into the ring and stretches out his arms and receives the most vile of receptions from this crowd. He has to be the most hated man in all of HCW (even more so than Apollo Gyze or Dr. Red Fang).
Match #1: Wicked Prophet vs Ghee Buttersnaps
The match between Ghee Buttersnaps and The Wicked Prophet had the crowd on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Ghee Buttersnaps, the fan favorite, started strong with a perfectly executed Ghee Hee Hee, drawing loud cheers from the audience. The Wicked Prophet quickly retaliated with a Crucifix Clutch, but Ghee’s resilience was on full display as he refused to submit.
Throughout the match, Ghee controlled the majority, showcasing his impressive arsenal with multiple Front Chanceries and powerful moves like the Belly to Back Suplex and Power Arm Bar. The Wicked Prophet struggled to keep up, and every attempt he made to turn the tide was met with fierce resistance from Ghee.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "Ghee Buttersnaps is putting on a clinic tonight! The crowd is absolutely loving it."
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "He’s dominating the match, but he can't let his guard down against someone as dangerous as The Wicked Prophet."
Despite Ghee's control, The Wicked Prophet managed to land a punishing Unrighteous Dominion, but it wasn’t enough to keep Ghee down. With each move, Ghee continued to rack up the points, even attempting a pinfall that nearly secured him the victory.
As the match wore on, the energy in the arena reached a fever pitch. In a critical moment, The Wicked Prophet seized an opportunity and executed his signature Fire - Walk With Me, followed by a devastating Baptism of Fire. The tide began to turn in The Prophet's favor around the 18th minute.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "The Wicked Prophet is making a comeback! Ghee needs to dig deep and find a way to turn this around."
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "This is the kind of match that defines careers. Both men are giving it everything they've got."
The back-and-forth continued with both wrestlers exchanging powerful moves. Ghee Buttersnaps' Elbow Smash kept him in contention, but The Wicked Prophet's relentless offense began to wear him down. The Wicked Prophet applied another Crucifix Clutch, but Ghee once again refused to submit.
In the final moments, The Wicked Prophet unleashed a brutal Devil's Snare, finally securing the pinfall victory over Ghee Buttersnaps.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "What a match! The Wicked Prophet pulls out the victory in the end, but Ghee Buttersnaps has shown the heart of a champion."
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "The fans won’t forget this battle anytime soon. Ghee Buttersnaps may have lost, but he’s earned even more respect from the HCW Universe."
The Wicked Prophet emerged victorious, but Ghee Buttersnaps left the ring with his head held high, knowing he had given everything in this epic encounter. The fans showed their appreciation with thunderous applause, honoring Ghee’s incredible effort and spirit. The Wicked Prophet remained in the ring and soaked in their hatred before finally heading to the back.
Backstage, Dark Dominion members Wilber and Beastfang are with Count Vlad and they talk about how, if given the chance, could defeat and dethrone Steel Justice to bring the World Tag Team Titles to the Dark Dominion. Steel Justice walk over and agree to the match tonight. As they walk off, we see a smile start to form around Count Vlad’s lips. Vlad tells Wilber and Beastfang he will be with them in the main event but for now, he needs to head to the ring with Negropolis and Azrael.
Match #2: The Snake Pit vs Negropolis and Azrael
Count Vlad leads Negropolis and Azrael down to the ring amid booing from the crowd. The trio ignore the fans and enter the ring. While Count Vlad is giving direction to his team, the music changes and out comes the Snake Pit – Leiton, Niven, and Tobias Snake. All three men do a fist bump and Niven and Tobias head to the ring. Leiton watches his brothers but then is ambushed by the Nightstalkers – Bloodfang and Shadowfang. They are then joined by the Fangs of Despair – Dr. Red Fang and Nightfang. The Dynamic Duo join in the fray and everyone fights to the back. Count Vlad leaves the ring to go after his Dark Dominion team leaving Negropolis and Azrael on their own.
The match between the Snakes and the Dark Dominion was an edge-of-your-seat thriller from start to finish. Niven Snake kicked things off with a stunning Leaping Clothesline, only to be met by Azrael's powerful Spear, setting the tone for a hard-hitting battle. Azrael quickly attempted a pin, but Niven Snake managed to kick out and tagged in Tobias Snake.
Tobias entered the ring with a fiery Snap Elbow Drop, forcing Azrael to absorb the punishment. However, Azrael retaliated with his devastating Vengeance, putting the pressure back on Tobias. The momentum swung back and forth as Tobias delivered a breathtaking Double Underhook Superplex.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "Tobias Snake is on fire! This match is a real nail-biter!"
Azrael fought back with a Slingshot Suplex, but Tobias managed to tag in Niven Snake just as Azrael tagged in Negropolis. The action continued with Negropolis throwing Niven out of the ring. Referee 'Honest' Abe began the count, but Niven made it back in time, showing incredible resilience.
The double teaming began when both teams entered the ring simultaneously, with Tobias and Niven executing a Running Crossbody and a Leaping Clothesline respectively. Negropolis and Azrael fought back with Black Doom and The Darkness, creating a chaotic scene that had the crowd roaring.
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "This is what tag team wrestling is all about! The intensity is off the charts!"
Despite the onslaught, Tobias Snake showcased his endurance, neutralizing Negropolis' Bitch Slap and countering with Mounted Punches. Negropolis attempted another pin after a Snap Suplex, but Tobias kicked out just in time.
Azrael re-entered the match, delivering a Leg Drop before being double-teamed by the Snakes with a Superman Punch and another Double Underhook Superplex. The relentless action saw Niven Snake landing a Corner Clothesline and Tobias delivering a Neck Drop on Top Rope.
In the final moments, the Snakes' teamwork shined as they executed a Deadlift Powerbomb on Negropolis. With the crowd on their feet, Niven Snake went for the pin, securing a well-deserved victory.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "What an incredible match! The Snakes proved their worth tonight with an outstanding performance."
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "The Dark Dominion brought everything they had, but the Snakes' resilience and teamwork earned them the win. This one will be remembered for a long time."
After the match, Beastfang and Terror Fang hit the ring and attack the Snake Pit decimating them. Before Negropolis or Azrael could say anything, their teammates left the ring. Negropolis and Azrael headed to the back on their own.
The camera cuts to the backstage area, where "Bad Luck Brian" is seen eagerly holding out a pen and a picture for his favorite wrestler, World Champion Jack Lumber, to sign. His excitement is palpable, his eyes wide with anticipation, clearly a moment he’s been waiting for.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "There’s Brian again, always right in the thick of things. Look at the excitement on his face. He’s finally about to get that autograph he’s been dreaming of."
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "You really have to root for the guy. Brian embodies dedication and heart."
Just as Jack is about to sign, Apollo Gyze rushes past, bumping into Jack who then stumbles and accidentally knocks into Brian. The impact causes the pen to break, splattering ink all over Brian’s shirt and face.
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "Oh no! Not again! Poor Brian just can't seem to catch a break."
Apollo, realizing what happened, snorts in derision and says, “What, do you think you get an apology? Apollo Gyze doesn’t apologize.” Apollo walks off arrogantly. Brian and Jack stand there in disbelief.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "Brian's just having the worst luck. But look at him, still smiling through it all."
Jack Lumber, visibly apologetic, pats Brian on the back and says, "Sorry about that, Brian. I owe you one," before hurrying off to his next segment. Despite being covered in ink, Brian takes out a tissue and wipes his face, chuckling to himself. The fans around him start to cheer and clap, showing their support for Brian’s ever-optimistic attitude.
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "Brian’s got the best attitude. It’s no wonder the fans love him. Always finding the silver lining, no matter what."
Brian waves off the mishap, his smile never fading, and continues to enjoy the backstage experience, chatting and laughing with other fans. His good-natured spirit shines through, making him a beloved figure among the crowd.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "That's Brian for you. Always rolling with the punches and winning hearts."
In the ring, Apollo cuts a promo about quitters and references Dennis. Jack Lumber comes out and blasts Apollo for what he did and says he’s going to teach him a lesson right here and now.
Match #3: Apollo vs Jack Lumber (non-title match)
The match between Jack Lumber and Apollo Gyze was a thrilling showcase of power and resilience. The bell rang, and Jack Lumber wasted no time, delivering a Kick to Midsection that set the tone for the match. Apollo Gyze tried to defend but was unsuccessful. Jack quickly followed with his signature TIMMMMMBEEERRRRR move, attempting a pin early, but Apollo managed to kick out just in time.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "Jack Lumber is dominating from the get-go! Apollo needs to find a way to turn this around."
Jack continued his onslaught, executing The Axe and going for another pin, but Apollo showed his tenacity by kicking out once more. Jack then delivered a Yukon Bodyslam, but Apollo again refused to stay down, kicking out of yet another pin attempt.
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "Apollo's resilience is something to behold. He's taking a beating but still fighting back!"
Apollo Gyze finally got some offense in with a Running Big Boot to the Chest, but Jack absorbed the punishment and bounced back with another TIMMMMMBEEERRRRR. The action was relentless, with Jack landing a Spear off the Ropes and a Stiff Uppercut, each time going for a pin, but Apollo Gyze kicked out every single time, showing incredible endurance.
Apollo managed to hit a Jumping Clothesline and even a Spin-out Powerbomb, making a brief comeback. However, Jack Lumber's consistent attacks, including a Knee Lift and another devastating Spear, kept Apollo on the defensive.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "What a back-and-forth battle! Jack is relentless, but Apollo's will to fight is incredible."
Just when it seemed like Apollo Gyze might turn the tide, Dennis Marshall emerged from the audience, causing a distraction. Apollo turned his attention to Marshall, allowing Jack to seize the moment. With Apollo momentarily distracted, Jack delivered The Axe, and this time, Apollo Gyze couldn't muster the strength to kick out. Jack Lumber secured the pinfall victory.
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "What a turn of events! The distraction by Dennis Marshall was all Jack needed to finish the match."
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "Jack Lumber pulls off the win with a spectacular performance! Apollo Gyze showed heart, but tonight belongs to Jack Lumber."
The crowd erupted in applause as Jack Lumber celebrated his hard-fought victory, while Apollo Gyze received respect for his unwavering determination and resilience. The match will be remembered as one of grit and power, showcasing the incredible talents of both wrestlers.
Apollo stormed off chasing after Dennis who was laughing at him from a distance. As Jack celebrated in the ring, the Wicked Prophet came out to attack Jack he was expecting it and after hitting the Axe on Prophet, the Wicked Prophet walked backwards up the ramp saying he was taking Jack’s title the next time the two of them are in the ring. Jack stayed with the fans a few moments longer before heading backstage.
In the back, Korbi Kong, Ashley Summers, Luciana Albano and Selena Blackfang were all yelling at each other. GM Max McGillicutty came over and said that if the 4 of them had this much energy, they can wrestle tonight. In fact, Korbi and Ashley will team up to take on Luciana and Selena. Max tells everyone to disperse and get ready for their match which is next.
Match #4: Korbi Kong & Ashley Summers vs Luciana and Selena Blackfang
Ashley Summers came out first to massive booing. Selena ‘Widow’s Fang’ Blackfang came out next and the crowd continued being vocal. Heritage Women’s Champion Luciana Albano came out next to the loudest negative reaction. She flipped the fans off as she made her way to the ring. Finally, World Ladies Champion Korbi Kong comes out and the fans give her the loudest pop of the night (we thought Jack standing up for Bad Luck Brian was loud…this beat that.) Korbi makes her way to the ring without her title since there are no belts on the line tonight; just an old fashioned slugfest.
The match between Luciana Albano and Selena 'Widow's Fang' Blackfang versus Korbi Kong and Ashley "Diamond" Summers was an absolute rollercoaster, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The bell rang, and Luciana Albano immediately took control with a devastating Electric Chair Facebuster on Korbi Kong, setting the tone for an intense battle.
Korbi Kong fought back with an Arm Triangle Lock, but Luciana absorbed the punishment and tagged in Selena. The action was relentless as Selena executed a Snap Suplex on Ashley Summers, who had just tagged in. The crowd roared as both teams showcased their double-teaming prowess, with Luciana and Selena delivering a Vertical Suplex and Butterfly DDT, while Ashley and Korbi responded with a Queen's Boot and Stiff Forearm Uppercut.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "This match is off to an explosive start! Both teams are giving it everything they've got!"
The momentum swung back and forth, with Luciana locking in the Nightmare Lock Inverted Cloverleaf on Ashley, who refused to submit. Selena continued the assault with multiple Butterfly DDTs and a Spinning Leghook Fireman's Carry Slam, but Ashley's resilience kept her in the fight.
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "Ashley Summers is showing incredible heart! She's taking a beating but refuses to stay down!"
The double-teaming continued, with Korbi and Ashley delivering a Diving Forearm to Back and Tilt-A-Whirl Gutbuster on Selena. Despite the onslaught, Selena managed to execute a Modified Scorpion Crosslock on Korbi, who barely escaped.
As the match progressed, the intensity only grew. Luciana and Selena's teamwork shone through with a Belly to Back Pendulum Facebuster and Superplex on Korbi. The crowd was on their feet, cheering for every high-impact move.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "This is tag team wrestling at its finest! The energy in this arena is electric!"
In the final moments, the action reached a fever pitch. Selena hit a Powerbomb on Ashley and went for the pin, but Korbi made a dramatic save. With the clock ticking down, Luciana tagged herself in, much to Selena's shock. Luciana seized the moment, executing a Vertical Suplex on Ashley.
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "Luciana Albano tags herself in! What a bold move!"
Luciana went for the pin, and the referee counted: 1...2...3! The crowd erupted as Luciana secured the victory for her team.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "What an incredible finish! Luciana Albano with the decisive move to win the match!"
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "This match will be remembered for a long time. Both teams gave it their all, but tonight belongs to Luciana Albano and Selena 'Widow's Fang' Blackfang!"
Selena glared at Luciana for stealing her chance to get the win but she didn’t have time to fret as Korbi attacked her resuming their battle. The two fought all the way to the back. Luciana put her foot on Ashley and raised her arm triumphantly. She eventually left to the booing from the crowd. Ashley, seething, made her own way to the back.
BACKSTAGE PROMO
The camera cuts to the backstage area where Wilber 'Terror Fang' Townsend and Beastfang, flanked by the ominous Count Vlad, are preparing for their upcoming match. The atmosphere is dark and foreboding, with Count Vlad's presence adding an extra layer of intimidation.
Wilber 'Terror Fang' Townsend: "Tonight, Steel Justice, you step into the ring with not just men, but predators. We're here to claim what's rightfully ours. The World Tag Team titles will be ours by the end of the night."
Beastfang: "Steel Justice, you've held those titles for too long. It's time for a change, and we're the ones to bring it. With Count Vlad by our side, nothing will stop us. Fear the fangs."
Count Vlad steps forward, his eyes piercing through the camera.
Count Vlad: "Steel Justice, you have no idea the darkness that awaits you. The terror that my beasts will unleash upon you will be like nothing you’ve ever faced. Tonight, the titles come to the Dark Dominion."
The camera then shifts to the other side of the backstage area where the reigning champions, Steel Justice, are gearing up. The atmosphere is electric with confidence and determination.
Kellyn ‘the Raven Archer’ Chrisari: "Terror Fang, Beastfang, you think you can intimidate us with your dark antics and your creepy manager? Think again. We've faced all kinds of challengers and we've always come out on top."
Alex ‘Skyhawk’ Justice: "That's right, Kellyn. Tonight, we show the world why we're the World Tag Team Champions. We didn't earn these titles by backing down from a fight. We earned them through hard work, determination, and an unbreakable bond."
The two share a determined nod before Blade addresses the camera directly.
Kellyn ‘the Raven Archer’ Chrisari: "Count Vlad, you might be used to the darkness, but we're bringing the light tonight. Steel Justice isn't just a name; it's a promise. We're going to fight with everything we've got, and we're going to walk out with our titles still around our waists."
Alex ‘Skyhawk’ Justice: "Tonight, Steel Justice stands tall. Let's do this!"
The camera fades out as both teams prepare for what promises to be an epic showdown for the World Tag Team titles.
Match #5: The Main Event: Steel Justice vs Wilber Townsend and Beastfang w/ Count Vlad for the World Tag Team Titles.
Our main event gets ready to begin with the Dark Dominion coming out first to massive booing from the crowd. Count Vlad leads Wilber and Beastfang to the ring and lets the disdain from the fans just sink in. They seem to relish the hatred and fear emanating from the crowd. The crowd pops as the World Tag Team Champions Steel Justice make their way out. Kellyn and Alex hold their titles high and shake hands with the fans as they proceed to the ring. They enter the ring keeping an eye on their opponents and each climb a turnbuckle and pump their fist in the air while holding the coveted championship high. The champs step down and hand the titles to the ref. They stand nose to nose with their opponents and separate. Count Vlad whispers something to Terror Fang and Beastfang and then steps out of the ring.
The match between Steel Justice (Kellyn 'The Raven Archer' Chrisari and Alex 'Skyhawk' Justice) and the dark duo of Wilber 'Terror Fang' Townsend and Beastfang, with Count Vlad at ringside, was a spectacle of athleticism and drama that had the crowd on their feet from the start.
As soon as the bell rang, Beastfang and Wilber 'Terror Fang' Townsend initiated a fierce double-team assault on Alex 'Skyhawk' Justice, landing a powerful Deadlift German Suplex and a Lifting Sideslam. But Skyhawk countered with a stunning Wings Embrace Flying Crossbody, igniting the crowd.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "Steel Justice isn't backing down one bit! Skyhawk is soaring tonight!"
The action intensified as both teams showcased their extraordinary teamwork. Skyhawk and Raven Archer executed a flawless double-team sequence with a Skyhawk Soar Moonsault and Raven's Retribution, only for Beastfang to respond with a reversal into a Sitout Tombstone.
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "Beastfang showing why he's a force to be reckoned with! But look at Steel Justice, they keep coming back!"
The high-flying moves continued with Skyhawk's Justice Dive to Outside of Ring, followed by Raven Archer's impactful Raven's Flight Body Press. The momentum kept shifting as both teams traded blows and counters, with Beastfang and Terror Fang proving to be formidable opponents.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "This is tag team wrestling at its finest! Both teams are giving everything they have!"
At a critical moment, Skyhawk narrowly escaped a pinfall after a Bam Bam's Suplex Triple Gutwrench from Beastfang. However, Steel Justice quickly regained control, unleashing a barrage of their signature moves including Celestial Spiral Leg Drop, Winged Uppercut, and Arrow Storm Kick.
In the final moments of the match, just when it seemed Steel Justice would secure a clean victory, Count Vlad made his presence felt. As Kellyn 'The Raven Archer' Chrisari executed a Raven's Wing Chop on Wilber 'Terror Fang' Townsend, Vlad grabbed Skyhawk's leg from outside the ring, causing a distraction.
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "What’s this?! Count Vlad is getting involved!"
As the referee turned to address the interference, Vlad slipped a foreign object to Terror Fang, who used it to strike Skyhawk while the ref's back was turned. The referee saw the aftermath and called for the bell, disqualifying Wilber 'Terror Fang' Townsend and Beastfang due to outside interference.
Mike 'the Voice' Johnson: "Count Vlad’s interference costs them the match! Steel Justice retains the titles, but what a controversial finish!"
Johnny 'the Hammer' Harris: "This isn't the end! Steel Justice will have something to say about this blatant interference."
The arena erupted with mixed reactions as Steel Justice celebrated their hard-fought victory amidst the chaos, retaining their World Tag Team titles. Count Vlad was not finished yet and called for the Fangs of Despair – Dr. Red Fang and Nightfang to come out. They rushed down to the ring and attacked the champs. It wasn’t long before the locker room practically emptied to stand by the World Tag Team Champions as Count Vlad and his two tag teams made their way to the back. Count Vlad smiled his evil smile and then disappeared behind the curtain. Steel Justice celebrated in the ring as the show comes to an end.
