HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2024 #1025 – Supershow (Orlando) – 8/10/24

Hello wrestling fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  We are on the road today visiting sunny Orlando, FL for today’s Supershow event.  The TV title and the World Tag Team Titles will be on the line tonight along with some qualifiers that will help us determine who will be wrestling for the belts at the Reign of Champions PPV (or PLEE (Premium Live Extraordinary Event) if you prefer that term.)  There is a lot happening tonight so let’s get right to the action.

Match #1:  Goldie Locks vs the Cummings Twins in a handicap match.

The Cummings Twins, Betsy and Felicia, come out first to massive booing from the crowd.  They blow mocking kisses to the fans and continue to the ring.  After they had their chance to get the crowd riled up, the music changed and comes Goldie Locks accompanied by Luna Shadow.  Luna is not part of the match tonight as this was set up as a handicap match against Goldie.  If Goldie can score a win against the diabolical twins, Luna gets her shot tomorrow and if she is successful, they will get the twins in a STEEL CAGE at the go-home show.  Goldie enters the ring keeping an eye on the twins.  The bell rings but Luna jumps up on the apron.  She calls Goldie over and then SLAPS her across the face right in front of the ref.  WHAT THE HELL?  The ref then immediately calls for the bell signifying a DQ against…the TWINS!  Goldie jumps out of the ring and she and Luna have a hearty laugh as they put one over on their opponents.  With Goldie’s win (even if it’s a DQ win), Luna gets her shot.  The Twins are pissed that they got outsmarted and they promise it won’t happen again.  The twins eventually left the ring.  (30 seconds)

Match #2:  Wilber Townsend vs Julius Squeezer

Julius Squeezer comes out first to a huge pop from the crowd.  He makes his way down and into the ring.  A moment later, the music changes but the lights remained.  Wilber Townsend comes out and stops by the Lumber Lounge looking for the World Champion.  He threatens a few of the Loungers asking for their leader and then LEAPS over the barrier and shoves people and chairs around looking for Jack who is nowhere to be found.  He leaps back over the barrier and heads to the ring.  I am not sure this writer has ever seen Wilber be this put off by mind games.  Normally, he is the master but now, he’s missing a beat.  Wilber gets into the ring and the match begins.  Wilber dominated the match hitting the Go To Sleep at the 3 minute mark but he pulled Julius up at the 2 count.  A couple of minutes later, he hits the GTS again and pulls Julius up.  He is clearly sending a message to Jack.  At the 9 minute mark, Wilber hits the GTS for a third time and Julius is practically out on his feet.  He locks in a rear chinlock and then converts it into an easy 1-2-3 at the 10 minute mark.  Wilber gets on the mic and tells Jack that he is coming for him AND the title.  He throws down the mic and walks away.  Julius makes it to his feet and heads to the back under his own power.

Match #3:  Duke Knight vs Negropolis for the next shot at the Hardcore Title

Negropolis makes his way out first to heavy booing from the crowd.  He flips them off uncaring if it’s directed at kids or adults (what a royal @$$).  He gets into the ring and the ref announces that this match will determine who gets the next title shot at the Hardcore title.  The music changes and Duke Knight is introduced to a huge pop from the crowd.  He makes his way down to the ring and shakes hands with the fans at ringside.  He gets into the ring.  Negropolis immediately attacks him starting this one off.  These two have no love loss for each other.

The match between Duke Knight and Negropolis was intense from the very start, with Negropolis launching a surprise attack on Duke before the bell even rang. Despite the early setback, Duke Knight fought back valiantly, executing powerful moves like the Neckbreaker and Hangman DDT. Negropolis, however, was relentless, delivering devastating attacks such as the Black Doom and Thrust Kick. The match saw both wrestlers exchanging high-impact maneuvers, with Duke Knight showcasing his resilience by kicking out of multiple pin attempts. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as Duke Knight narrowly escaped being counted out twice after being thrown out of the ring by Negropolis. In the end, Duke Knight’s determination paid off as he executed a Flying Fivearm, securing the pinfall victory over Negropolis.

With this win, Duke Knight has earned himself a title match at the PPV against current Hardcore Champion ‘the Alaskan Wildman’ Jax Brenner.  Duke celebrates with the fans as Negropolis kept complaining of his tights being pulled.  He stares daggers at Duke as he leaves the ring.  I have a sneaky suspicion that this is not over between the two.  (18 min)

Alejandro Guerrero and ‘The Magnificent One’ Juan Raul (JR) Fargo Backstage Promo

[Camera fades in to Alejandro Guerrero and JR Fargo standing in front of the HCW backdrop, their HCW 6 Man Tag Team Championship belts draped over their shoulders.]

Alejandro Guerrero: Tonight, we stand here not just as champions, but as warriors ready to conquer new heights. The New Sicilians may think they have the upper hand with their dirty tactics and underhanded manager, Pierre Boulay, but they haven’t faced a team like us. JR and I, along with Dominic Marconi, have proven time and again that we are the best in this business.

JR Fargo: That’s right, Alejandro! The New Sicilians might be holding those World Tag Team titles, but tonight, we’re bringing the fight to them. Dirty Dick Albano and Vicious Vinnie Albano, you better be ready because we’re not just coming for those belts, we’re coming to show the world what true champions look like. Pierre Boulay, you can try all the tricks in the book, but nothing will stop us from walking out with those titles around our waists.

Alejandro Guerrero: Tonight, the HCW universe will witness the rise of new World Tag Team Champions. The Magnificent One and I are ready to make history. New Sicilians, prepare yourselves, because the era of Guerrero and Fargo is about to begin!

[Camera fades out as Alejandro and JR raise their 6 Man championship belts high.]

Match #4:  Evan Stockwell vs Dominic Marconi

‘The Italian Thoroughbred’ Dominic Marconi makes his way out first to a solid pop from the crowd.  He shakes hands with the fans and heads into the ring.  He does some light stretches as he awaits his opponent.  The music then changed and out comes Evan Stockwell and his manager Ruth Heartless.  The duo are booed heavily as they make their way to the ring.  They enter the ring with briefcase in hand and are ready for action. Ruth takes the briefcase and makes her way out of the ring.

The match between Dominic Marconi and Evan Stockwell, with his manager Ruth Heartless, was a thrilling encounter. From the outset, Stockwell took control with a powerful Dividend Dropkick, putting Marconi on the defensive. Ruth Heartless played her part, executing a sneaky eye gouge that further weakened Marconi. Despite the early setbacks, Marconi fought back with determination, delivering a series of powerful moves like the Head First Body Slam and Power Forearms. Stockwell, however, continued to press his advantage with moves like the Liquidation Leg Sweep and Hostile Takeover. The match saw both competitors exchanging high-impact maneuvers, with Marconi showcasing his resilience by kicking out of multiple pin attempts.

With Marconi on the outside of the ring and the ref counting, he didn’t see the Banker sneak in from the crowd and BLASTS Evan with the briefcase.  Evan is stunned but not down.  The Banker then delivers a Deposit Diving DDT right on the briefcase and exiting the ring just before Dominic rolled back in beating the 10 count.  Dominic shook off the cobwebs and picked up Evan locking him in a backbreaker.  Evan, unconscious, had his arm raised once (if fell), a second time (it fell) and a third time (it fell).  The ref then calls the match in favor of Dominic Marconi via submission.  The fans pop as Dominic has his arm raised and he leaves to head to the back.  Ruth is in the ring and tries to revive Evan who eventually comes around.  She tells him what happened and Evan gets up like nothing was wrong and storms (and stumbles) to the back.

The New Sicilians Backstage Promo

[Camera fades in to Dirty Dick Albano, Vicious Vinnie Albano, and Pierre Boulay standing in a dimly lit room, the World Tag Team titles gleaming under the light.]

Pierre Boulay: Ladies and gentlemen, tonight is a night of reckoning. Alejandro Guerrero and JR Fargo think they can waltz in and take what belongs to the New Sicilians? They are sorely mistaken. My boys, Dirty Dick and Vicious Vinnie, have been dominating this division, and tonight will be no different.

Dirty Dick Albano: Guerrero, Fargo, you two are nothing but pretenders. You may have those 6 Man Tag Team titles, but the World Tag Team titles are a whole different ball game. We’re the kings of this division, and tonight, we’re going to show you why.

Vicious Vinnie Albano: That’s right, Dick! Guerrero and Fargo, you better be ready for a fight because we’re not just going to beat you, we’re going to humiliate you. Pierre has a few tricks up his sleeve, and there’s no way you’re walking out with our titles.

Pierre Boulay: Tonight, the New Sicilians will prove once again why we are the most dominant force in HCW. Guerrero, Fargo, prepare to be outclassed, outmatched, and outwrestled. The New Sicilians reign supreme, and there’s nothing you can do about it.

[Camera fades out as the New Sicilians smirk confidently, holding their titles high.]

Match #5:  TV Title Match:  Owen Zestwell vs Apollo Gyze.

The loudspeakers echo with “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and out comes Apollo to the loudest displeasure from the crowd we’ve heard all night.  He sneers at the fans and makes his way to the ring.  He motions that he will be taking the TV title and walking out the champion which incites the fans all the more.  They pop as the TV Champion Owen ‘Orange Fury’ Zestwell makes his way out.  He holds his title and then shakes his finger at Apollo signifying there was no chance in hell he is taking THIS title.  Owen makes it to the ring and enters.  The match begins as soon as Owen handed the title to the ref.  Apollo got in some cheap shots early on but the champ fought back.  After hurling Owen to the outside, we see Alejandro Guerrero come out and he’s limping.  He stops and asks a fan to borrow their cane.  He begins his walk to the ring limping and Apollo is there laughing hysterically.  Alejandro makes it to the ring and as Apollo leans over to disparage him, Alejandro WHACKS Apollo with the cane breaking it.  Apollo falls out of the ring.  Alejandro drops the pieces and disappears into the crowd.  Owen makes it back in before the 10 count.  The ref sees Apollo on the outside and begins counting.  He reaches 10 and then awards the match to Owen via countout.  Owen takes his title, holds it high for the fans, and then heads to the back.  He looks down at Apollo, tries to stifle a laugh and leaves.  Apollo eventually makes it to his feet and he heads to the back.  (5 min)

Backstage, Dominic Marconi is attacked by two unknown assailants backstage and locked in a dressing room before having the door barricaded.  It does not appear he will be able to help his team.

Match #6:  The Main Event:  World Tag Team Title match vs JR Fargo and Alejandro Guerrero

JR and Alejandro come out first to a massive pop from the crowd.  They do not know what just transpired backstage or who is responsible.  Once in the ring, the music changed and the World Tag Team Champions  - the New Sicilians with their manager Pierre Boulay – made their way out to massive booing from the crowd.  It doesn’t seem that they were behind the attack on Dominic so if it wasn’t them, who was it?   Dick and Vinnie got in the ring and held their titles high as Pierre pointed to his Champions.  The belts were handed off to the ref and the match began.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2024 #1024 – 8/3/24

Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  We have an action packed card tonight that will see the Hardcore Champion Jax Brenner defend his title against Madman Mason.  We will see Mr. X in action as well as the Banker.  The main event of tonight’s show will see the Ladies Champion Korbi Kong defend the title against Trinity Bowman.  All this and more is coming your way so let’s get this show on the road.

[Scene: The office of GM Max McGillicutty. The room is adorned with wrestling memorabilia and championship belts. Max is seated at his desk when Count Vlad, dressed in his dark, regal attire, makes his entrance.]

Max McGillicutty:  Count Vlad, welcome to HCW. [He shows the Count to a seat.]

Count Vlad: “Max, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you. I’ve heard much about your leadership here in HCW. The Fangs of Destruction have reached out to me, seeking more…vicious guidance. They believe I can take them to new heights.”

[Max nods, intrigued by Vlad’s proposition. Just then, the door opens, and the Ambassador, the current manager of the Fangs of Destruction, walks in.]

Max McGillicutty: “Ambassador, glad you could join us. This is Count Vlad. He has an interesting proposal regarding the Fangs of Despair.”

[The Ambassador eyes Count Vlad warily as Vlad steps forward.]

Count Vlad: “Ambassador, I understand the Fangs have been under your management, but they have expressed a desire for a more ruthless direction. I am here to purchase their contracts and lead them to dominance.”

[The Ambassador crosses his arms, skeptical.]

Ambassador: “Purchase their contracts? The Fangs are my team. Why should I hand them over to you?”

[Count Vlad reaches into his coat and pulls out a check, presenting it to the Ambassador. The Ambassador’s eyes widen as he sees the amount.]

Count Vlad: “This should more than compensate for your investment.  I understand your attachment to the team however, in order to properly get to know my team, I need to take over immediately.”

[The Ambassador hesitates for a moment, until Vlad presents a second check, just as impressive as the first, then nods, accepting the checks.]

Ambassador: “Very well, Count Vlad. You have a deal. The Fangs are yours to lead.”

[Count Vlad smiles, a sinister glint in his eyes.]

Count Vlad: “Excellent. Together, we will unleash a new era of destruction in HCW.”

[Max McGillicutty watches the exchange, knowing that this alliance will bring significant changes to the HCW landscape. The scene fades out as the three men shake hands, sealing the deal.]

Match #1: Jake Montrose vs Ivan Dragovich.

The Russian Bear Ivan Dragovich comes out to massive booing from the crowd.  He curses at them in Russian, flips them off, and continues his way to the ring.  ‘The Bounty Hunter’ Jake Montrose comes out and he gets a decent pop from the crowd.  He makes his way to the ring where an impatient Russian paces the ring.  Jake was holding his own until Rex Rampage came out at the 4 minute mark and while Ivan distracted the referee, Rex plowed through Jake with a spear through the ringside barrier.  Rex then ran Jake head first into the steel post busting him open.  He threw him back in the ring and went to hide in the crowd.  Ivan then dominated the rest of the match with Jake barely hanging in there.  The merciful end came when Ivan hit the ropes and nailed a jumping side kick.  He made the cover and got the easy 1-2-3.  Ivan gets the win and immediately leaves the ring.  Rex comes back in from the crowd and attacks Jake again.  He managed to plant Jake with 3 huge powerbombs before enough refs ran out there to break things up.  Jake was in a bad way and needed to be stretchered to the back.  (16 min)

Match #2: Wilber Townsend vs Muscles Thorpe

Muscles Thorpe comes out first accompanied by his Muscles brothers.  They act all goofy on the stage and Thorpe makes his way to the ring solo.  He continues to get the crowd pumped until the lights go dim and out comes Wilber Townsend.  Wilber advances to the ring carrying a lantern.  He makes his way to the ring and extinguishes it as the lights come up.  Wilber looks like he’s going to attack Thorpe but just then, World Champion Jack Lumber comes out and the fans pop huge for him.  He walks down to the ring and stares at Wilber.  Wilber looks perplexed.  Jack then opens a bag he’s carrying and takes out a half-melted Pennywise the clown mask…just like the one Wilber wears from time to time.  Wilber looks on with a quizzical look on his face.  Jack is playing the mind games and now it seems he got under Wilber’s skin.  Wilber seems put off and then just ups and leaves before the bell ever rang.  Muscles Thorpe is confused.  The music changes and it seems Thorpe has a new opponent.

Match #2: Mr X vs Muscles Thorpe

Mr. X makes his way out to massive heat from the crowd.   He makes his way down ignoring the fans who were hollering at him.  He gets into the ring and immediately goes after Thorpe.

In an intense wrestling match, Mr. X, the heel, faced off against Muscles Thorpe, the fan favorite. The match began with both wrestlers exchanging moves, with Mr. X landing a Turnaround Sidekick and scoring 8 points, while Muscles Thorpe responded with an Abdominal Stretch for 7 points. As the match progressed, Mr. X executed a series of powerful moves, including Martial Arts and Dropkicks, often outscoring Thorpe, who retaliated with his own techniques like Knee Lifts and Muscles Crush. Despite Thorpe's best efforts, including a Side Belly-to-Belly Suplex and a Running Splash, Mr. X maintained a narrow lead throughout most of the match.

The climax came in the final minutes when Mr. X, having used his signature Bare Foot Kicks and a Polynesian Piledriver, went for a pin attempt after a Turnaround Sidekick. Thorpe managed to kick out, but Mr. X's relentless offense eventually wore him down. In a dramatic finish, Mr. X executed a final Turnaround Sidekick, pinning Muscles Thorpe for the victory.

The fans booed him unrelenting and he just took it all in and laughed as he was the last man standing.  He left the ring and make his way to the back.  (26 min)

GM Max McGillicutty comes out and apologies to the fans for Wilber just walking off and having to find an alternative.  He says Wilber will be held accountable.  He then says he has great news to share and lets everyone know that HCW is going back on the road…this time to sunny Florida.  He says there will be back to back shows – one in Orlando and one in Miami before they return home.  The fans pop as it will be nice to get fresh face into the arena all the while giving the wrestlers new scenery.   Max states that there is a lot going to be happening over the next few weeks as we build up to the Reign of Champions PPV in 4 weeks.  He thanks the fans again and then leaves to let the show continue.

Match #3: Alejandro Guerrero vs the Banker

The Banker makes his way out first to booing from the crowd.  He gets into the ring and lets the fans continue to do their thing.  The music changed and the fans pop for 1/3rd of the Six Man Tag Team Champions Alejandro Guerrero comes out.  He makes his way to the ring but before he can enter the ring, Apollo Gyze runs down and rams him into the steel post.  He then grabs Alejandro’s arm and smashed it against the post.  The ref and security rush down and get Apollo out of there but the damage is done.  The ref asks Alejandro if he wants to continue and he says yes.  Alejandro manages a bulldog but it’s pretty weak due to his hurt arm.  The Banker hits a Repossession Rib buster and then locks in the ATM fee armbar and het gets Alejandro to tap out.  The Banker gets the win in just two minutes.  The Banker celebrates his win but Max comes out and says that Apollo will be fined for his attack on Alejandro.  Max says they can continue the match if Guerrero is up to it.  Alejandro shakes off the numbness and acknowledges he wants to start the match over.  The bell rings.  The Banker begins with a powerslam but Alejandro nails a Tornado DDT and makes the cover getting a 2 count.  The Banker comes back and locks in the ATM Fee armbar trying to get Guerrero to submit but he makes it to the ropes to break the hold.  The two go back and forth until Alejandro is thrown out of the ring.  He sees Apollo in the audience and almost forgets about the count.  He is back in at 8.  More back and forth action leads to a Foreclosure Frankensteiner but Lee comes back with the Triple Rolling Suplexes.  He makes the cover but the Banker is too close to the ropes and gets his foot on the bottom rope to stop the count.  He hits the Triple Rolling Suplex again and goes for the cover getting a 2 count this time.  Apollo hops the barricade and begins yelling at Alejandro.  The Banker looks like he was going to try something but just then, Evan Stockwell jumps in and stuns the Banker with a neck snap across the top rope.  He staggers back into the ring.  Lee turns his attention back to the ring and sees the Banker wobbily on his feet.  He nails a missile dropkick and makes the cover for the 1-2-3.  Alejandro gets the win and the fans pop.  Apollo is on the outside and is pissed.  He gets on the mic calling Guerrero a punk who can barely walk after the punishment he dished out.  He calls Alejandro weak for relying on a fan (The Crow Master) to come to his aid.  Alejandro jumps out of the ring and he and Apollo fight all the way to the back.  In the meantime, Evan grabbed his briefcase and blasted the Banker between the eyes knocking him to the ground.  Evan gets on a mic and says “This is how I finish business.  Oh, and by the way, Orange Moron, maybe you need to relinquish the TV title to me now before you break a hip or pull a quad and can’t walk without your walker.”  The fans boo the hell out out him and he laughs before dropping the mic and leaving.  (10 min for the match, 10 for the full aftermath)

Backstage, Col. Flagg is with Rex Rampage and congratulates him on a job well done.  Now they can concentrate on getting tag team gold.

Match #4:   Hardcore Title Match:  ‘the Alaskan Wildman’ Jax Brenner vs Madman Mason

Madman Mason made his way out first to massive booing from the crowd.  When it was the champ’s turn, the fans pop huge as the Champ Jax and his manger Molly Mason made their way to the ring.  Jax says he’s going with a concept new to HCW but a staples elsewhere (credit to TL Promotions)…A Hellhole Miner Massacre.

In a fierce battle between the Hardcore Champion Jax Brenner and the heel Madman Mason, both competitors showcased their skills and resilience. The match started with Brenner and Mason trading impactful moves, with Brenner initially gaining the upper hand with a powerful Pickaxe while Mason responded with a Vertical Suplex. Brenner continued to dominate early on, delivering a Headbutt with Helmet that left Mason reeling. However, Mason countered with a Psychotic Break and a Power Bomb, coming close to a victory with a pin attempt that Brenner barely escaped.

As the match progressed, Brenner's offensive strategy proved relentless with moves like the Bigfoot Bomb and a Lung Punch with a Coal Miner Glove, pushing him ahead and attempting several pinfalls. Mason struggled to defend against Brenner’s onslaught and despite his efforts, including a late-game Power Bomb, he couldn’t secure a win. Brenner's persistence paid off when he executed a decisive Body Slam, pinning Mason for the victory. Brenner's performance solidified his dominance and retained his Hardcore Championship title with a well-earned win.

Jax gets the win and the fans pop huge for him.  Molly greets him in the ring and puts the title around his waist.  Just then, the Omegatron lights up and we see a shadowy figure taking a sledgehammer to Jax’s Hummer.  Jax, pissed off, rushes out of the ring with Molly struggling to catch up.

Jax makes his way into the parking lot and once he gets there, he sees a lot of damage done to his car.  As he’s looking things over, he is attacked by Tommy ‘the Morningstar’ Sullivan.  Sullivan gets in quite a few good shots before security rushes over and breaks things up.  Tommy has some choice words for Jax which riles him up but with the amount of security in between them, he cannot get his hands on the Morningstar.  The Hardcore Champion is PISSED!

Match #5:  The Main Event:  Ladies Title Match:  Korbi Kong vs Trinity Bowman

First, Trinity Bowman comes out to boos from the crowd (because they know who is coming out next).  The music changes and we hear “KORBI KONG SMASH” and out comes the Ladies Champion.  The fans’ pop is deafening.  She makes a stop by Clan Kong (her fan club) before she continues walking to the ring.  She gets in and climbs the turnbuckle holding her title high until the music changed and out comes Luciana Albano.  She saunters down to the ring and goes to commentary.  She mockingly waves to the champ and puts on a headset.

In a highly anticipated clash, the Ladies Champion Korbi Kong squared off against the formidable Trinity Bowman. From the opening moments, Korbi Kong took charge, delivering a devastating Mile High Flying Elbow Drop that nearly secured an early victory. Trinity Bowman, known for her resilience, fought back with a fierce Bow-Flex maneuver, showing that she wasn't going down without a fight. However, Korbi's persistent offensive, including a Running Shoulder Block, kept the pressure on Trinity.

At ringside, Luciana Albano in her place at the commentary table, added mystery and intrigue to the match. Luciana, a known rival of Korbi, couldn't resist commenting on the last encounter between the two. "Korbi took the cheap way out in their last match, opting for a disqualification win," she remarked, clearly still holding a grudge. She held up her Money in the Bank contract, teasing that she might cash in at any moment but kept everyone guessing by not revealing her plans.  Eventually she sat back down.

The bout continued with both women exchanging powerful moves, with Korbi landing a significant Backbreaker. Despite Trinity's efforts to fight back, Korbi's dominance was undeniable. As the match reached its climax, Korbi delivered another crushing Backbreaker and secured a decisive pin. With Trinity down for the count, Korbi Kong emerged victorious, solidifying her reign as the Ladies Champion.

As the show neared its end, Korbi Kong celebrated her hard-fought victory, only for the camera to shift to Luciana Albano, who decided it was time to get involved.  Tensions flared as Luciana approached the ring, glaring daggers at Korbi. The two rivals locked eyes, their animosity palpable. In a dramatic turn, Luciana charged into the ring, and the two women clashed in a flurry of fists and shoves. Security rushed to separate them as the crowd roared, adding an explosive conclusion to an already thrilling show.

With the two rivals dealing blows and constantly having to be separated by security, our show comes to a close.  We hit the road next weekend so stay tuned as the drama continues.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2024 #1023 – 7/27/24

Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  On the show tonight, Luna and Goldie team up to take on the Cummings twins.  The Orange Fusion Force will be in action also. In our main event, the Tag Team Champions, the New Sicilians, take on the Dynamic Duo with the titles on the line.  All this and more will be on tonight’s show so let’s get this party started.

Pyro goes off starting off the event.  GM Max McGillicutty comes out to a nice welcome from the crowd.  Max says he has some news to share and wants the fans to hear it first.  HCW will be stretching its wings and will be hitting the road once again for two remote shows that will take place in Orlando, FL and one in Miami.  The fans pop huge at the announcement.  Max continues by adding in that for the month of August, all champions will be required to defend their titles twice…once during the month and once again at the Reign of Champions PPV on 8/30.  He ends with there is a lot to get to tonight so he’s going to head to the back so the show can officially begin.

Backstage, the OFF (Orange Fusion Force) combo of TV Champion Owen Zestwell and Julius Squeezer are being interviewed for their match before their match tonight against the Flaggship (Col. Flagg and Rex Rampage).  Owen comments that Evan Stockwell was running his mouth the other day and tells him to mind his own business before he starts involving himself in others.

Match #1:  Apollo Gyze vs OP Cunningham.

Otis Peabody Cunningham comes out first to a huge pop from the crowd.  The fans cheer him on as he makes his way to the ring.  As he is making his way around the ring interacting with the fans, his music is shut off and replaced with “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and the annoying one makes his way to massive booing from the crowd.  HA!  Get this…he is wearing a combination of red and yellow making up two pretty famous comic characters who just had their movie released this week.  This irritated the fans even more and they got louder as he passed by on his way to the ring.  He stopped in front of one fan who held a sign that read “Apollo is my dad…or is it Virgil?” and he snatched it and tore it all up and threw it back at the fan.  He made his way into the ring where OP was waiting.  After a lot of hemming and hawing, finally, the match began.

The match was pretty even until the 12 minute mark and OP began dominating.  Apollo would not have any of that and he hit a low blow on OP before hitting a Spin Out Powerbomb and makes the cover.  He hooked the tights as the ref’s hand hit the mat for the 1-2-3.  Apollo gets the win and the fans are vocal in a very negative way.  Apollo gets on the mic and tells the fans to shut their faces while he talks.  The crowd screams over him and he can’t seem to get a word in.  Just then, Alejandro comes out and stands on stage.  He sees Apolo getting frustrated and begins laughing at Apollo.  Apollo throws down the mic and storms to the back.  By the time he got to the stage, Guerrero was already gone.

Backstage, Tommy ‘the Morningstar’ Sullivan is being interviewed and he says that he’s been a bit of a slump as of late but he promises he’s going back after the Hardcore title.  He tells Jax to get the belt ready for him.

Match #2:  The Orange Fusion Force (Owen Zestwell & Julius Squeezer) vs the Flaggship (Col Flagg & Rex Rampage).

The Flaggship come out first to booing from the crowd.  Flagg flips off the crowd as usual and marches down with his enforcer Rex Rampage at his side.  They get into the ring and get mouthy with the fans until the music changed and out comes the Orange Fusion Force.  The TV Champion Owen Zestwell and Julius Squeezer get a solid pop from the crowd as they make their way to the ring.  Before they can enter, the Flaggship attack them beating them down before the bell even rang.  Owen and Julius are thrown into the ring and the bell finally sounds starting this one off.  Julius received more of the beatdown so Owen said he’d start off until Julius felt ok.  For 2 minutes, Owen was on the receiving end but then shook it off and battled back against Flagg.  ‘The Bounty Hunter’ Jake Montrose came out and distracted Rex first by ramming him into the steel post and then dumping him into the audience before jumping the barrier and taking off himself.  Owen and Julius got a double team in but at the 6 minute mark, Owen hits the Jersey Driver and makes the cover securing the 1-2-3.  The Orange Fusion Force gets the win and the fans pop.  Owen gets on the mic and says he enjoys being in a tag team and also enjoys representing as the TV Champion.  He says that Evan Stockwell has been speaking out the other side of his ass and really should mind what is going on with the Banker before he starts something with him (Owen).  The OFF then leave and head to the back.  Flagg finds and helps Rex to the back.

Backstage, Luna Shadow and Goldie Locks say they are ready for their match against the Cummings twins.  Luna says they agreed to the no DQ match to prevent the twin cowards from intentionally getting disqualified or running away with their tails tucked between their legs.  Goldie adds that since they like to do the double switcheroo, they have something special planned.  They then walk off camera.

Match #3:  Tommy Sullivan vs Freedom Fighter Justice

Freedom Fighter Justice comes out first to a pop from the crowd.  He makes his way to the ring and starts to get the crowd psyched up.  Next, the Morningstar makes his way out and the fans boo.  The Ambassador accompanies him.  They make their way to the ring and Tommy enters.  Tommy starts off with a Figure Four Armbar.  He neutralizes a leg grapevine from Justice.  Tommy drags Justice out of the ring and piledrives him on the floor.  He rolled back in but the ref spent more time chastising Tommy for this so when he started to count, Justice was up and back in by the count of 4.   Justice locks in an armbar.  Tommy drags him to the ropes to break the hold and the Ambassador jumps up on the apron and goes to hit Justice but he moves and the Ambassador hits the ref who immediately disqualifies Tommy.  Justice gets the DQ win in 5 minutes after executing ONE offensive move.  Tommy, frustrated, leaves.  The Ambassador follows.

Backstage, the Dynamic Duo are being interviewed.  They say they have earned this spot and will bring an end to the New Sicilians and win the Tag Team titles for the fans

Match #4:  Luna Shadow and Goldie Locks vs the Cummings twins – No DQ

Betsy and Felicia, the twins, make their way out first to booing from the hometown crowd.  They look on the fans with disdain and head to the ring.  They enter through the ropes and continue to taunt the fans.  The music changed and the fans pop as Luna Shadow and Goldie Locks come out…but they look different.  Luna and Goldie have changed their looks to make them look like twins which puts the real twins off their game.  They smile as they make their way down.  The match begins quickly with Goldie and Luna controlling the pace early by keeping the twins off their game but as time went on, the twins found their groove and began taking the match back to their challengers.  At the 17 minute mark, the twins double teamed Luna after they knocked Goldie from the apron to the floor but as she went down, she hit the steel steps getting injured.  Luna gets hit by a neckbreaker and then Betsy does a rolling leglock and with a hook of the tights, she gets the 1-2-3.  The fans are not happy.  Betsy and Felicia mock the fans by cheering for themselves.  Goldie gets back in the ring with a steel chair and chases the twins from the ring.  Luna makes it to her feet and says that there is only ONE way to bring this feud to an end.  Before she can say what it is, Felicia gets on the mic cutting her off.  “Hold on, hold on.  I know where you’re going but look at the stats first.  We both beat you two in singles action and now, we defeated you in tag team action.  Why should we want to consider anything further?”  Before Goldie speaks, she whispers something to Luna who nods in agreement.  “We’ll make this interesting for you.  Each of us will take you both on in individual handicap matches.  If we each win our handicap match, we get the match we want.”  Betsy smirks “So you want to take us on in 2 on 1 matches AND if you win, we do this specialty match?  YOUR ON!”  Luna takes the mic.  “Just so you know, once we get our wins, we will see you again….inside a STEEL CAGE!”  The fans pop as the twins’ smirks turn into scowls and back up the ramp.  Luna and Goldie whisper something to each other and then they leave the ring.

[Backstage, the camera focuses on the New Sicilians, ‘Dirty’ Dick Albano and ‘Vicious’ Vinnie Albano, standing confidently with their HCW World Tag Team Championship belts over their shoulders. Their manager, Pierre Boulay, stands between them, a smug look on his face.]

Pierre Boulay: “Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on the most dominant tag team in HCW history—the New Sicilians! Tonight, these champions defend their titles against the so-called Dynamic Duo. Chris ‘Thunderstrike’ Thompson and Mike ‘the Rebel’ Matthews, you boys are in way over your heads.”

‘Dirty’ Dick Albano: “Thunderstrike, Rebel, you think you can step into our ring and take these titles from us? Think again. We’ve crushed every team that’s come our way, and tonight will be no different.”

‘Vicious’ Vinnie Albano: “That’s right, Dick. You two are just another set of victims for the Albano Family. We’re not just champions; we’re the best this business has to offer. And with Pierre by our side, there’s no stopping us.”

Pierre Boulay: “The Dynamic Duo may have their flashy moves and their fan support, but they lack the one thing that makes us unbeatable—ruthlessness. We play by our own rules, and tonight, we’ll show the world why the New Sicilians are the undisputed champions.”

[The camera zooms in on the New Sicilians, their faces full of confidence and determination.]

‘Dirty’ Dick Albano: “Thunderstrike, Rebel, get ready for the fight of your lives. When we’re done with you, you’ll wish you never stepped foot in our ring.”

‘Vicious’ Vinnie Albano: “Tonight, the New Sicilians reign supreme. And there’s nothing you can do about it.”

Pierre Boulay: “Prepare to be outclassed, outmatched, and outdone. The New Sicilians are here to stay, and there’s no force in HCW that can change that.”

[The promo ends with the New Sicilians and Pierre Boulay walking off, ready to defend their titles and prove their dominance once again.]

Match #5:  The Main Event:  For the World Tag Team Titles:  The New Sicilians w/ Pierre Boulay vs the Dynamic Duo.

The match begins with the Dynamic Duo – Mike Matthews and Chris Thompson – making their way out to a huge pop from the crowd. They interact with the fans as they make their way to the ring.  Once in the ring, they continue to get the crowd excited for the match.  It all goes south when the Tag Team Champions – the New Sicilians – Dick and Vinnie Albano – make their way out with their manager Pierre Boulay.  Pierre is carrying a portrait of Capt. Lou who is pointing – signifying he is there for his family.  They make their way to the ring and the booing just intensifies.  Dick and Vinnie have choice words for the fans and make their way into the ring. They each climb a corner turnbuckle holding their title high and the fans get even louder.  They step down and hand the belts to the ref who holds them out and then hands them to the ring attendant. Pierre takes Lou’s portrait and exits the ring.  The bell rings and this one begins.

The match began with intense energy as Thunderstrike and Rebel showcased their high-flying and hard-hitting moves, putting the champions on the defensive. However, the New Sicilians, with their cunning tactics and ruthless aggression, quickly turned the tide.  Vinnie took out Chris by attacking him with a chair and DDT-ing him on the floor taking him out of the match.

Pierre Boulay, the Sicilians’ manager, played a crucial role, distracting the referee at key moments to give his team the upper hand. Despite the underhanded tactics, the Dynamic Duo fought valiantly, thrilling the crowd with their resilience and teamwork. The Rebel’s  electrifying moves and rebellious spirit kept the audience on the edge of their seats.

The turning point came when the New Sicilians managed to isolate Mike Matthews. In a brutal double-team maneuver, they sent him crashing into the steel steps outside the ring, effectively ending his offense. With Thunderstrike still incapacitated, the Sicilians focused their assault on Rebel. Despite his best efforts, Rebel couldn’t overcome the two-on-one disadvantage and finally succumbed to a Superkick from Vinnie and got pinned.

The New Sicilians get the win and although the match was over, Dick and Vinnie kept up the assault on Matthews until Steel Justice – Kellyn Chrisari and Alex Justice came out and chased the champs out of the ring.  The champs cursed at the interference and yelled that they would make them pay for sticking their noses into their business.  Mike and Chris shook the hands of Steel Justice and the show came to an end with all four men celebrating with the fans.

Lots more to come so stay tuned.
