Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. On the card tonight, we will hear from the Ladies Champion Korbi Kong, we’ll have a contenders match for the US Title and we’ll see the Alaskan Wildman Jax Brenner defend the Hardcore title in our main event.
Addressing the
biggest elephant in the room, in a shocking turn of events, after winning the
US Title from Wilber Townsend, Dennis Marshall turned on the fans and said he
was only in this for himself and no longer needed any support from the fans. Meltdown also saw NEW WORLD CHAMPIONS crowned
when Jack Lumber won the Fatal Four Way match between Mr. X, Wicked Prophet and
the Banker. Korbi Kong also got a
measure of revenge when she defeated Luciana Albano for the Ladies Championship. Speaking of revenge, the Commando Zack Brown
got his against former teammate Col. Flagg.
The Dynamic Duo defeated the 5th Column and Duke Knight
defeated Tommy Morningstar.
Pyro goes off and
before the match can begin, we hear “KORBI KONG SMASH” and out comes the Ladies
Champion to a tremendous pop that shook the building. Korbi stands on the stage with a mic in one
hand and the Ladies title over her shoulder.
The ring announcer introduces her.
“Ladies and gentlemen, warriors
and dreamers, behold the new reigning Ladies Champion—Korbi Kong!”
(The crowd erupts in cheers,
signs waving, as Korbi steps forward, the championship belt gleaming over her
shoulder.)
Korbi Kong: (grinning)
“Well, well, well! Look at this
gold! It’s not just a title; it’s a declaration. Luciana Albano, you fought
valiantly, but when the Kong comes knocking, the jungle trembles.”
(She paces, eyes scanning the sea
of faces.)
“Luciana, you held this title
like a weapon. But me? I wear it like armor. It’s not about pretty dresses or
tea parties; it’s about survival. And in the ring, survival means one thing:
dominance.”
(The crowd chants, “Kor-bi!
Kor-bi!”)
“Luciana, you were a queen, but
I’m a force of nature. The Kong doesn’t bow; she conquers. And tonight, the
jungle roars in approval.”
(She raises the belt high, the
spotlight catching every facet.)
“To my fellow warriors, my Kong
Clan, thank you. You believed in me when the odds were stacked. And to my
opponents? Buckle up. The Kong Express is unstoppable. Next stop? Oblivion.”
(She points to the entrance
ramp.)
“Luciana, you’re not forgotten.
You’re a chapter in my saga. But now, the pages turn, and the ink bleeds gold.
The Ladies division? It’s my jungle, my playground. And I promise you this: I
won’t just defend this title; I’ll redefine it.”
(The crowd roars louder.)
“So, Luciana, rest well. The Kong
watches over her kingdom. And as for the rest of HCW? Brace yourselves. The era
of Korbi Kong has dawned, and it’s a wild ride.”
(She drops the mic, raises the
belt once more, and disappears backstage, leaving the arena buzzing.)
Match #1: Rex
Rampage vs Jake Montrose.
The match begins
with ‘the Bounty Hunter’ Jake Montrose coming out to a mixed reaction from the
crowd but as soon as Col. Flagg, the leader of the Flaggship came out, the
booing intensified. They make their way
to the ring and Montrose enters. Flagg
began jaw jacking with the fans at ringside when the music changed and out
comes Rex Rampage to a solid pop from the crowd. He makes his way to the ring and it looked
like Flagg was going to attack him from behind but Rex turned and glared at
Flagg who backed away and sat at commentary.
This match was
soooo one-sided it was sad. Rampage
DOMINATED the bounty hunter so bad.
Flagg could be seen wincing every time Rex hit a power move. We jump to the 15th minute of the
match.

Bounty Hunter" Jake Montrose hits the ropes but just then, Flagg grabbed
his foot. Montrose was confused asking
Flagg what he was doing. He then turned
around.

Rex Rampage gets
the win and has his arm raised as the victor.
Flagg gets on the mic and tells Montrose that the Flaggship no longer
needs or wants him so he is FIRED and then introduces us to the newest member of
the Flaggship…REX RAMPAGE! Rampage picks
up Montrose and hoists him over his shoulder before planting him in the middle
of the ring with a thunderous powerslam.
Rampage pulls Jake up and drags him to the corner where he sets him up
on the top rope. He climbs up and delivers
a huge Superplex from the top rope. Refs
and officials rush out and stop Rampage from continuing his path of
destruction. Flagg joins him in the ring
and holds his arm high. The duo leave to
a thunderous disdain from the fans.
Match #2: Alejandro
Guerrero and JR Fargo vs the Smashers
The Smashers make
their way out first to a chorus of boos.
They flip off the fans and make their way into the ring. They begin yelling at the fans until 2 member
of the 6 Man Tag Team Champions – Alejandro Guerrero and JR Fargo – make their
way out to a huge pop from the crowd.
The Smashers begin yelling at the duo but the insults fall on deaf ears. Lee and JR enter the ring and raise their
arms high. The Smashers immediately
attack them before the bell even rings but it’s only moments before both
Smashers are sent flying out of the ring.
After a brief standoff, the match begins. JR and Lee held their own for the first 8
minutes of the match but then constant double teaming by the cheating Smashers
gave them control of the match. We now
join the match at the 9 minute mark.

then, the Fangs of Despair (Dr. Red Fang and Nightfang) and Azrael hit the ring
and attack JR and Lee causing the disqualification.

BY THE FANGS OF DESPAIR AND AZRAEL!!!
JR and Lee are
trying to hold their own but the Fangs, led by the Ambassador continue the
assault until refs and backstage trainers all hit the ring to break things
up. The Ambassador calls his team to
leave but takes a mic and tells JR and Lee that they are coming for the Six Man
Titles. He laughs and they all walk
away.
Match #3: Goldie
Locks vs Penny Hall
Penny Hall makes
her way out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd. She gets in the ring and waits for her
opponent. Goldie Locks comes out next
and the fans pop huge for her. She makes
her way to the ring and enters. She
walks up to Penny and extends her hand.
Penny shakes it and the match begins.

Goldie gets the
win and immediately goes out to check on Penny.
She helps her to her feet and Penny shoves Goldie away. Goldie says she’s trying to help and Penny
responds with a vicious eye rake and a head slam into the steel steps. Penny walks away as the fans boo her. Goldie shakes off the cobwebs and then heads
to the back.
We head backstage
to hear from the Flaggship.
Col. Flagg: (leaning
against a steel locker) Well, well, well, Rex Rampage. Look who’s
decided to join the winning team—the Flaggship. You know, they say loyalty is
for fools, but I’ve always been a fan of calculated risks. Jake Montrose? He
was expendable. Fired like a cannonball into oblivion. But you, Rex? You’re
different. You’ve got that fire—the kind that burns bridges and razes kingdoms.
Rex Rampage: (cracking
his knuckles) Flagg, you’re right. Loyalty? It’s a quaint notion. But
power? That’s the currency of the ruthless. Jake Montrose? He was a relic,
clinging to honor like a drowning man to driftwood. Me? I’m a shark in these
waters. I smell blood, and I strike.
Col. Flagg: (smirking) Rex,
my newest recruit, you’ve got potential. The fans? They’ll boo you. They’ll
call you a traitor. But remember this: Legends aren’t born from cheers; they’re
forged in betrayal. Jake Montrose? He’s yesterday’s news. The Flaggship? We’re
the future. And you, Rex? You’re the storm on the horizon.
Rex Rampage: (leaning
in) Flagg, you’ve got your secrets,
your hidden agendas. But so do I. Jake Montrose? He underestimated me. Thought
I was just muscle. But now? Now I’m the blade in your sheath, the venom in your
words. The Flaggship sails with its most powerful member ever. And as for Jake?
Well, let’s just say he’s about to learn that loyalty is a fool’s game.
(They share a nod, the tension
thick in the air.)
Match #4: Zack
Brown vs the Rich Athlete w/ Ruth Heartless
The Commando Zack
Brown comes out first to a huge pop from the crowd. He shakes hands with the fans and heads into
the ring. Next, the music changes and
out comes The Rich Athlete with Ruth Heartless.
The duo are booed heavily and make it to the ring. The Rich Athlete grabs a mic and immediately
condemns HCW for putting him in a match with a scrub like Brown. Zack tells the Rich Athlete to get into the
ring as the bell sounds but instead of the Rich Athlete entering, Ruth gets in
and slaps Zack immediately causing the disqualification. Ruth immediately bails out of the ring and
she and the Rich Athlete head to the back.
Zack is pissed but says he still won the match and says he’s challenging
Dennis Marshall to a match for the US title next week. The fans pop for the Commando as he heads to
the back.
Ruth Heartless: (standing
in the dimly lit corridor, microphone in hand) Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on the dawn of a
new era—the Million Dollar Alliance! At Meltdown, we witnessed the fall of the
Banker, but fear not, for from the ashes rises a phoenix of wealth, power, and
cunning. Allow me to once again introduce my clients—the Financial
Maverick, Evan Stockwell, and the Rich Athlete!
Evan Stockwell: (smirking) Banker, you thought your reign was eternal? You counted
your gold coins, but you forgot one thing: I’m the man who calculates the odds,
who turns zeros into millions. At Meltdown, I dismantled your empire, brick by
brick. Your vaults? Empty. Your legacy? A footnote. HCW will never see the
Banker again.
Rich Athlete: (adjusting
his diamond-studded wristband) Zack
Brown, you’re a blip on my radar. A hiccup in my financial forecast. Tonight’s
loss? It’s not because of your skill, my friend. No, it’s because they keep
feeding me scrubs—wrestlers who couldn’t balance a checkbook, let alone step in
the ring with the Rich Athlete. But this blemish on my record? It won’t stand.
I’ll buy my redemption, Zack. And when I do, the world will know that the Rich
Athlete doesn’t lose; he invests in comebacks.
Evan Stockwell: (leaning
against a crate) Banker, you’re not the
first to fall. And you won’t be the last. The Million Dollar Alliance? We’re
the arbiters of destiny. We calculate risk, hedge our bets, and emerge
victorious. So, Banker, count your losses, liquidate your dreams, and know this:
Evan Stockwell doesn’t just break bones; he breaks banks.
Rich Athlete: (pointing
at the camera) And Zack Brown? You’re a
placeholder. A placeholder for my true rival—the one who’ll push me to my
limits. Until then, I’ll buy more gold chains, bet on the stock market, and
wait. Because when the time comes, the Rich Athlete will rise, and HCW will witness
the greatest financial comeback in history.
(They exit, leaving the corridor
echoing with their laughter and the promise of wealth beyond measure.)
Match #5: The
Main Event: Hardcore title match: The Wildman Jax Brenner vs Otto Ruthless
First, Otto Ruthless
comes out and is booed heavily. He has
choice words for the fans and then makes his way into the ring. The music changes and out comes the Hardcore Champion
Jax Brenner with his manager Molly Mason.
Jax stands tall while Molly holds his title high and the fans pop for
them. They head to the ring and Molly
hands Jax his title and goes to sit at commentary. The ref accepts the title from Jax and hands
it to a ring attendant. The ref
announces that this will be an “Innovations of Violence” rules match. Jax smiles.

Champion retains and Jax is joined in the ring by Molly who hands him his
title. Jax holds the title high while a
bloodied Otto Ruthless lies prone in the ring. Eventually he rolls out to the floor and makes
his way to the back.
The show comes to
an end with Jax and Molly getting cheered in the ring.
