Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. On the show today, the Rich Athlete graces us with his presence. The Fangs of Despair are in action; The Italian Thoroughbred takes on the Financial Maverick in a non-title match; Owen Zestwell takes on Alejandro Guerrero in a face vs face match (let’s see who cracks first); and finally, World Champion the Banker defends his title against Kroman the Barbarian.
We head backstage
before the in-ring action begins. We see
the Rich Athlete looking at the line up board and sees that he is taking on Joe
‘Jack Hammer’ Sanders in the kickoff match.
He shakes his head. “Nope, someone
got that wrong” he mutters and moves his match to the Main Event. He smirks and walks away.
Match #1: Dominic
Marconi vs Evan Stockwell in a non-title match
Dominic makes his
way out first to a huge pop from the crowd.
He shakes hands with the fans and gets into the ring. The music changes and the TV Champion Evan
Stockwell and his manager Ruth Heartless make their way out to massive booing
from the crowd. He grins disapprovingly
and begins the walk to the ring. Evan takes
his time getting into the ring and Ruth grabs a mic and immediately reminds
everyone that this is a non-title match.
Evan gets into the ring and the match begins.

the match and Duke Knight comes on to the stage. Evan sees him and is distracted.

HOLY CRAP! Dominic just defeated Evan in one of the
quickest matches in HCW history. Evan
and Ruth are shocked and Evan rolls out of the ring and Ruth grabs the title. She screams this was a non-title match and
the two of them head to the back.
Dominic stays and interacts with the fans and then eventually leaves.
GM Max
McGillicutty notices someone messed with the line up after questioning why
Dominic and Evan went on first. He
figures out it was the Rich Athlete who made the change and moved his match to
just before the main event. He knows the
Athlete will not be happy but Max says he’s not here to make the wrestlers
happy, just the fans.
Match #2: The
Fangs of Despair vs The Dynamic Duo (5th Column attack)
Led by their
manager the Ambassador, the Fangs of Despair (Dr. Red Fang and Nightfang) came
out first to massive boos from the crowd.
Both Fangs threatened multiple fans on their way to the ring. They continued to rile up the fans until the
music changed and out comes the Dynamic Duo.
Mike Matthews and Chris Thompson make their way out to a solid pop from the
crowd. They rush down to the ring and
are ready to get this one underway. The
first half of the match saw the Duo go toe to toe with the Fangs. It wasn’t until about half way through that
after the Ambassadors interference that things went the way of the evil vampire
bots. We join the match at the 26 minute
mark.

After
30 minutes, the match is declared a draw.
The match ends in
a draw. The Ambassador gathers his team
and they leave. As the Duo were
interacting with the fans, they are brutally attacked (after an exhausting 30
min match) by the 5th Column members Baron von Blood and Oswald
Zimmerman. The Column double powerbombed
Chris Thompson through a table and Mike Matthews received a spike piledriver in
the ring. The Column then left leaving
the exclamation point after their statement.
The Duo had to be helped to the back.
Jack Lumber, one
of the toughest sonofabitches the world has ever known is going to be
fine. A few stiches and Jack was out of
the hospital the very next day. We
expect to see Jack at our next show to address the heinous attack by Mr. X.
Match #3: Owen Zestwell
vs Alejandro Guerrero
The next match on
the card is a match between fan favorites.
The grizzled veteran Zestwell takes on his younger opponent which promises
to be a showcase of the ages. Both men
had their separate entrances with JR Fargo accompanying Lee and Julius Squeezer
coming out with the Orange Fury. When the
match started, both tag teammates left the ring to keep this an even playing
field.

the win. After the match, it did look
like Alejandro was frustrated but he was the first to extend his hand. Owen shook it and raised Lee’s arm as a sign
of respect. Both men then left the ring.
Backstage, the
Rich Athlete sees he’s no longer in the main event. He knows that Max is not going to make this
easy for him so he will show why he’s the number 1 pick in the world.
Match #4: All
Ladies Battle Royal for a future title shot.
The ladies of the HCW
roster all filed to the ring to see who would get a future title shot. GM Max McGillicutty came out and said that
not only would the winner get a shot but if anyone eliminates Luciana from the
ring, they too will receive a shot.
As expected, the
Ladies Champion exited the ring and spent a lot of time on the outside. Luna Shadow chased her around the ring trying
to get her back in.

behind. The two begin brawling and they
fight all the way to the back.
Match #5: The Rich
Athlete vs Joe Sanders
The arena buzzes with anticipation
as Joe “Jack Hammer” Sanders strides down the ramp. His muscular frame exudes
confidence, and the crowd responds with a respectable cheer. Joe’s eyes lock
onto the ring, determination etched across his face. He’s here to prove
himself, to climb the ranks in HCW.
But then, the music shifts—a
haunting melody that signals the arrival of the Rich Athlete. The crowd’s mood
shifts too, turning from cheers to a chorus of boos. The Rich Athlete, draped
in opulent robes, struts down the aisle. His arrogance is palpable; he thrives
on their disdain. The fans despise him, and he basks in their hatred like a
malevolent sun.
The Rich Athlete raises the
microphone, his voice dripping with disdain. “GM Max McGillicutty’s
shenanigans,” he sneers, “won’t distract me from my path of destruction.” He
circles the ring, eyes scanning the audience. “I need a manager—a mastermind
who could amplify my malevolence. Someone who could outwit, outmaneuver, and
outclass anyone in our way.”
And then, with theatrical flair, he
introduces Ruth Heartless. She steps into the spotlight, her gaze icy scans the
crowd. She makes her way to the ring as the fans booing continues. Ruth’s presence commands attention; her aura
screams danger. Her dark eyes lock onto Joe Sanders, sizing him up. The crowd
holds its breath, sensing a seismic shift in the wrestling landscape.
But Ruth doesn’t remain silent. The
Rich Athlete helps her into the ring and then hands her the mic. Her voice cutting through the tension.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” she declares, “If you don’t know me already, I am Ruth
Heartless—the manager of champions.” The crowd stirs, intrigued. “Yes, you
heard it right. I already guide ‘the Financial Maverick’ Evan Stockwell to
victory as the superior reigning TV Champion.” Ruth’s eyes flicker toward the
Rich Athlete. “And now, I’ve been chosen to manage the World’s Greatest
Athlete.” Her pride is evident; she revels in the power she wields. “This team up will only mean one thing for
the Rich Athlete…Gold! Championships
galore…whatever you want….they will be yours for the taking. A true partnership.” The fans booing intensifies.
Ruth steps out of
the ring and the match begins. Joe was
not going to go quietly into the night and put up a huge challenge for the Rich
Athlete. At one point, he considered
walking out of the match but after a quick confab with his manager, he went
back in with a vengeance. Instead of
trying to finish off the match quickly, he strung it out. We join the match now at the 16 min mark.

Setting: A dimly lit corridor
backstage at the HCW arena. The Banker, clad in his signature suit and
sunglasses, stands before the camera. The World Championship belt rests on his
shoulder.
The Banker (smirking): Well, well,
well. Look who’s come to collect their dues tonight. Kroman the Barbarian, they
call you. A brute force, a wild card. But let me tell you something, my
friend—barbarians may swing their clubs, but I swing something far more
dangerous: numbers. Calculations. The cold, hard logic of profit and loss.
Kroman’s distant roar echoes down
the hallway.
The Banker (leaning in): You see,
Kroman, this isn’t just about a shiny belt. This is about wealth, power, and
control. And I’ve got all three in spades. My portfolio? Diversified. My
investments? Strategic. And my opponents? Well, they’re just assets waiting to
be liquidated.
He adjusts his tie.
The Banker: Tonight, when that bell
rings, I won’t be stepping into a wrestling ring—I’ll be stepping into a
boardroom. And Kroman, my friend, you’re about to learn a valuable lesson:
leverage. I’ll leverage your strength against you. I’ll calculate the optimal
angle for every suplex, every slam. And when the time is right, I’ll execute my
hostile takeover.
He taps the World Championship belt.
The Banker: You think this gold
means something? It’s not just a title; it’s a balance sheet. And right now, my
equity is soaring. The Banker’s stock is rising, and Kroman, you’re about to
experience a market correction.
He glances at the camera.
The Banker: So, Kroman, sharpen your
axe, polish your armor, and bring your primal rage. But remember this: when the
numbers don’t lie, the outcome is inevitable. Tonight, the HCW arena becomes my
trading floor, and I’m about to make the deal of a lifetime.
He walks away, leaving the camera
lingering on the World Championship belt.
Fade out.
Commentary (off-screen): “The
Banker’s confidence is unwavering, but can he outwit the Barbarian’s raw power?
The stakes have never been higher!”

Note: The Banker’s character is a
unique blend of financial acumen and wrestling bravado. Let’s see if his

makes his way out first to booing from the crowd. The Barbarian snarls at the fans as he makes
his way to the ring. He gets into the
ring and begins pacing. The music
changes but that does not change the fans reception of the World Champion. The Banker saunters out to the boos but holds
his title high over his head. He walks
down to the ring calculating every possible scenario. He climbs up on the apron and keeps an open
eye on his challenger. He enters the
ring with precision and hands the title to the ref. He is ready for his match.
