Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. We are proud to kick off this weekend’s premier show Critical Mass. This is the grand daddy of all shows and promises to deliver. For three days, the roster of HCW will show the world what they are made of. Titles will be on the line but in some cases, so will careers.
The show begins
with pyro going off and the spotlights zipping across the excitement exploding
from the crowd. Our first match is ready
to begin. This one is a battle of the
muscle men with Biceps Bannerman taking on TNT.
BB comes out first to a nice pop from the crowd. He gets into the ring. ‘TNT’ by AC/DC begins to play but is
immediately shut off and replaced by other music as we do not have contractual
rights to use it. TNT comes out and is
annoyed but makes his way to the ring.
He gets in and starts to flex in front of Biceps. The match begins.

that, this one is over. Biceps has his
arm raised in victory. He stays for a
few minutes to celebrate with the fans before departing. TNT limped his way up the ramp holding his
lower back.
Next up, we have a
Last Person standing match between Hayley Hailstorm and Lavender Gooms. Lavender has cost Hayley a lot over these
last few months and Hayley demanded Lavender one on one. They will continue to fight until one of them
can’t stand anymore. The two fought like
everything was on the line here. It was
about as pretty evenly matched up as it can get. Neither gave an inch. We join this one at the 11 minute mark.

gets a measure of revenge against Lavender and the fans pop huge for her. She stays and interacts with the fans before
making her way to the back.
Up next is our
Anytime/Anywhere match between Catalina Harper and Brash Toothpick. People still seem to think it’s Dash under
the hood but no one has been able to prove it…yet. This one takes place backstage and once the
ref signals, this one begins. Brash was
definitely the more aggressive and it seemed Catalina dismissed this as an easy
match. Brash gave Catalina a fight for
the ages and after hitting her with (a very unsportsmanlike) kick to the chest,
he made the cover and got the 3 count.
Brash Toothpick gets the win and becomes the NEW Anytime / Anywhere
Champion. Catalina complains about the
illegal kick and demands a rematch.
Brick apologizes and says he’d be happy to give her a rematch on
Sunday. Catalina storms off. Just before the camera stopped, we see a
close up on Brash’s face and can tell he’s definitely smiling under that mask. (15 min)
Up next is our
Hardcore title defense. Former champion
Dr. Red Fang was put in a precarious spot in having to defend a title when he
was not truly healthy (Ha, for a vampire).
Leiton had taken advantage of it and won the belt. The Ambassador demanded Fang get a rematch
and Leiton agreed but this will be a Death Rules Match. Only the strongest will survive.
Dr. Red Fang comes
out first with his manager The Ambassador as “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY”
screams through the loudspeakers. They
make their way to the ring and almost immediately, the Ambassador has to leave
but gives some words of wisdom to the evil vampire bot before departing. Leiton Snake’s music hits and he comes out
with his Snake Pit brothers Niven and Tobias.
They stand on the stage and do a fist bump before Leiton, with the belt
slung over his shoulder, makes his way to the ring. Fang immediately attacks him and this one is
underway. The two battle hard with each
going for multiple pin attempts throughout the match. Leiton definitely held the advantage but
never count an evil vampire bot out.

the win and begins cackling as the belt is handed to its new owner. Leiton could not believe it. He thought the Buckle Bomb was the icing on
the cake but once again, Fang is underestimated and now we have a new
champion. The Ambassador comes out and
raises Fang’s hand in victory as the fans boo.
The Ambassador says that once Azrael gets his shot at the TV title, he
will manage two champions.
Backstage, Tommy
Lightning and Derek Deveraux are doing their promo. Derek reminds Tommy that if they lose, they
are out of a job. Tommy assures Derek
that he is not going anywhere and by the end of the night, they will be wearing
the gold of champions.
Also backstage are
the World Tag Team Champions Buzz and Starbuck – the Steel Curtain. Buzz immediately starts off with
congratulations for Biceps in getting his win tonight. Starbuck says that Tommy Lightning has been a
royal pain in their side for too long and they are looking forward to removing
that thorn. Buzz reminds us of the old
proverb about the lion who had a thorn stuck in its paw and a passerby helped
remove it. The Lion then devoured the
person (Starbuck has a disgusted look on his face). Buzz says the moral of the story is…don’t
mess with the LION bitches! Starbuck
smiles and adds “Word”.
It’s time for our
main event. First, Tommy and Derek make
their way out to massive booing from the crowd.
Tommy flips the fans off and makes his way to the ring. He immediately gets on the mic and tells us
that they are the new lions in HCW and the young destroy the old. He then informs Derek that as he is a
co-holder of the Six Man Tag Team Titles, his career is NOT on the line; only
Derek’s. Tommy tells him it won’t matter
as they take gold tonight and he becomes a dual title holder. The Steel Curtain’s music hits and the champs
make their way out to the stage. The pop
is deafening. Starbuck and Buzz do the “Too
Sweet” and then make their way to the ring high fiving the fans along the
way. They get into the ring and hand the
titles to the ref. They are wasting no
time and want this to end NOW. Tommy
walks over to the ref and it seems he handing him something. What the hell is that???

career is over all because he believed the promise from a swindler like
Tommy. The Steel Curtain stand tall
holding their titles high as the show comes to an end.
