Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter. Tonight, we bring you the Reigning Royalty PPV LIVE from Tacoma, WA. The stacked card tonight will see Ladies Champion Korbi Kong teaming up with Goldie Locks and Hayley Hailstorm to take on the returning J9 and ‘Sassy’ Maxine DeVito and the “turncoat” Violet Valkyrie along with a couple of battle royals, a fight for the title of King and a Hell in a Cell meeting between Drew the Canadian Love Machine and HCW’s very own lumberjack Jack Lumber.
The
show begins with pyro going off and GM Max McGillicutty makes his way out to a
nice pop from the crowd. Max thanks the
fans for coming and looks up to see the ominous structure hanging over the
ring. He talks about how Jack Lumber and
Drew will be the main event of tonight’s show but he is interrupted by the King
of HCW and World Champion the Wicked Prophet.
Prophet complains that the defense of the crowd should be the main event
on a show called Reigning Royalty. Max
says that if Prophet wants to be the main event, then the match for the crown
will have to take place in the Hell in a cell.
If he is willing to do that, then he can close the show out. Prophet’s upper lip curls and he turns and
leaves without addressing the main event proposal. Max closes things out and says we are ready
to get this show underway so here we go.
We
cut to the back and J9, Maxine and Violet look ready for action. J9 says she holds HCW responsible for putting
her out of work and says she will exact a measure of payback out of their challengers. Maxine says that now that they are back, they
are here to dominate. Violet just says
that revenge is a dish best served cold.
They head to the ring.
Elsewhere
backstage, Goldie, Hayley and Ladies Champion Korbi Kong are also being
interviewed. Goldie says that she will
ensure the reign of terror J9 brought will never happen again…not on her
watch. Hayley says she owes Maxine for
past trauma and says tonight, she collects in full. Korbi stands there and looks at the camera
and says “Violet…Korbi Kong..SMASH!” The
trio head to the ring.
Our
first match is ready to get underway. Violet,
Maxine and J9 all make their way out and head to the ring to a chorus of boos
from the crowd. They enter the ring and
J9 and Maxine taunt the crowd while Violet paces like a caged tiger. The music changes and out comes Hayley
Hailstorm, Goldie Locks and Ladies Champion Korbi Kong. They shake hands with the fans as they make
their way to the ring. They waste no
time in getting the match started. Right
off the bat, Hayley and Maxine squared off.
Maxine whipped Hayley into the ropes and she smashed into Violet sending
her tumbling to the floor. J9 and Maxine
didn’t do much to help her. They checked
on her once and that was about it. For
the first 17 minutes of the match, J9 and Maxine dominated their challengers
even without Violet’s help. We join the
match at the 18 minute mark and Violet finally makes it back on to the ring
apron.

Hayley and Korbi get the win and the fans pop huge. Violet stands with her friends and then they
all make their way to the back to get ready for the all-Woman’s battle royal to
crown a new Queen.
The
Wicked Prophet makes his way out. He
gets into the ring and says he is going to scout this battle royal as he wants
to see who he’ll be fighting. He is
asked if he made a decision if he wants to defend the crown in a Hell in a
Cell. He says that being in the main
event is the most important thing so he says he’ll do it.
All
the men filtered into the ring and the action began in earnest. One by one, people went flying over the top
rope until it came down to the final 3.
Those left standing were ‘the Ragin Cajun’ Rad Gumbo, Buzz Steel and
Wilber Townsend. Buzz eliminated Wilber
after hitting a Buzz Cut that sent Wilber flying over the top rope. That left one-time King Rad Gumbo and Buzz
Steel. The two battled hard and long but
in the end, Buzz squeeked out a win.
Buzz is set to take on Wicked Prophet for the crown. Buzz celebrates while Wicked Prophet glares
at him from the announcers desk. Buzz
makes his way to the back.
Backstage,
we meet up with Phat Sol. Phat says he
was disappointed in his performance when going after the World title and again
tonight. He says that after thinking
hard and long on this, he decided he’s going to announce his retirement from
HCW. He says he had a great run but like
most things, all good things must come to an end. He has no regrets and thanks the fans for
their years of support. He grabs his bag
and leaves.
We
are ready for the Ladies Battle Royal to crown a new Queen of HCW.

cut backstage and we see Buzz Steel laid out.
GM Max McGillicutty says that they will investigate who did the attack
but the Wicked Prophet still needs an opponent.
He says that the final four – Rad Gumbo, Master Bull, and Wilber
Townsend will meet right now in a Triple Threat match to see who goes to meet
Prophet in the main event.
The
three men met in the match and it was a free-for-all. Master Bull did extremely well getting near
falls on both Rad and Wilber but the 3rd member in the match kept
making the save. We join the match at
the 26 minute mark.

plays and out comes Drew the Canadian Love Machine. The fans boo the crap out of him. He enters the ominous structure and he looks
a little worried. “TIMMMBERRR” sounds
through the loudspeakers and out comes Jack Lumber. Lumber comes out to a huge pop from the
crowd. He stops by the Lumber Lounge and
interacts with the fans before making his way to the Cell. He enters and Drew attacks to start the
match.

Drew then attacks the fans and begins to choke him out. Jack gets on a mic and demands Drew let him
go. Drew says he will but only if Jack
gives him one more match. Jack agrees
and Drew releases the fan. He then
storms to the back. Jack rushes to his
fans’ aid and helps him to the back to have him checked out.
It’s
time for our main event. The
loudspeakers blare out “GUMBO 730 MEANS ITS SUPPA TIME, BITCH” and out comes
the US Champion the Ragin Cajun Rad Gumbo alongside his manager Ms. Alexandria. They head to the ring and Rad enters the Cell
as the wall is repaired from the previous match. Next, the King and World Champion the Wicked
Prophet comes out dressed to the hilt in his regal attire. He is carried to the ring on his throne. The fans boo the crap out of him but he
dismisses them. Once at the ring, he is
set down and he enters the Cell. He
removes his robe and crown and hands it to a lackey outside the structure. This match will see Champion vs Champion but
neither belt are on the line; only the crown.
The Wicked Prophet is fresh whereas Gumbo had fought in a battle royal
as well as a triple threat match but he looks prepared. The bell rings and this one gets underway.

then, the lights went out but they were only out for 10 seconds. When then came back on, the fans popped huge
when they saw BUZZ STEEL atop the cage.
There is a portion of the roof that was removed from earlier. Buzz then LEAPT through the hole in the
ceiling and landed on top of the Wicked Prophet. HOLY SHIT chants rang out. Buzz rolled out of the ring and to the floor.

Ragin Cajun has become the NEW King of HCW (his second reign). Ms. Alexandria joins him in the ring as the
structure is raised. She places the robe
around his shoulders and the crown on his head.
He takes the scepter and raises it high.
The fans pop huge for him as the show comes to an end.
