to bring you the Meltdown PPV. The event
has been sold out for weeks and tonight, the fans get their money’s worth with

Before the show
began, J9 hung out with some fans outside the arena watching the fireworks
display. She did see Jack Lumber making
his way to the building. She met up with
him.
J9: Jack, that was quite the beating you took at
the hands of the Wicked Prophet and Dash Woodbrick. Are you sure you’re up to this match?
Jack Lumber: J9, yes I’m still a bit sore from being put
through the table but that is not going to prevent me from taking home the
World title tonight.
J9: Good Luck Jack and be sure to watch out for
that jerk Dash.
Backstage, we see
that lady in black sneaking around.
Where the hell is security when you need them the most?
Pyro goes off
kicking off tonight’s show. GM’s Master
Bull and Max McGillicutty make their way out to a pop from the fans. Bull states that the show is packed with
action and is going to give the fans what they deserve. He even states that if a certain non-wrestler
gets involved in the action tonight, HE will be the equalizer. Max follows up stating that that with every
match being a no disqualification or count out, anything and everything can
happen. He points out that the seats at
ringside were all paid for by Jack Lumber and he gave his fan club, the Lumber
Lounge, the seats for free. What a hell
of a guy. Max then hands it over to J9
who is backstage.
J9: Fans, I’m here with the one and only Korbi
Kong. Korbi, tonight, Maxine wanted a
match for the contract but messed up in her stipulation request so tonight,
it’s you and her mano e mano as it were.
Korbi Kong: You know J9, I started out as nothing more
than a fan in the crowd until l couldn’t stand seeing the injustices of what
was happening anymore and needed to step in. AND NOW I’M READY TO TEAR ALL THE
DOORS OFF THIS PLACE UNTIL I AM THE CHAMPION.
J9: Korbi, best of luck tonight.
Korbi: KORBI KONG SMASH!
Pyro goes off and
out first match of the evening is ready to begin. Perfect Pecs Stoddard comes out to a nice pop
from the crowd. He interacts with the
fans and then makes it into the ring.
His music is abruptly cut off and Shawn ‘Abs of Stone’ Austin comes out to
massive booing from the fans. He flips
them off as he makes his way to the ring.
Pecs motions for him to enter the ring but Austin takes his time. The fans begin a “coward” chant that gets
under his skin. He finally enters the
ring but tells the ref to get Pecs to back up so he can enter the ring without
being attacked. Austin finally gets his
jacket off and the ref calls for the bell to begin the match. Pecs nails a Celtic kick 2 minutes in but
Austin made it to the ropes to break the hold.
The two continue to fight and at the 10 minute mark, Pecs hits Austin
with a running double axe handle but Austin locks in a sleeper hold but Pecs
made it to the ropes to break the hold but it took its toll on him. The fight spilled out of the ring and Austin rammed
Pecs shoulder first into the steel post weakening the arm. Austin kept the pressure on going for a pin
after an arm drag take down. Pecs began
a comeback dropping Shawn with an Irish Curse backbreaker but was stunned by
chops from Austin (the fans yelled WOOOO after each chop. Austin, perturbed, hits another arm drag take
down and goes for the pin but grabs a handful of tights and puts his feet on
the ropes for leverage. The ref doesn’t
see it and counts 1-2-3. Shawn Austin
gets the win and the fans verbally let him have it. He laughs at them, flips them off again and
then leaves. Pecs followed shortly
thereafter. (18 min)
We head backstage
with J9 and she is with ‘Sassy’ Maxine DeVito.
Maxine says that J9 is worthless on the mic and she’ll be worthless in
the ring when she starts. J9 says she’ll
fight Maxine on her first in-ring match.
Maxine laughs it off before saying she MAY consider it. Tonight though, she gets Korbi in the ring
and will teach her a lesson or two for laughing at her. She says that if Korbi was a real competitor,
she wouldn’t hide behind a technicality.
Regardless, someone is getting their ass beat tonight. Maxine walks off.
Also backstage is
Larry Morton and he introduces Texas Wildfire.
TW says that Apollo tends to run his mouth and doesn’t understand what
an “off switch” is. He says Apollo tends
to sulk away when he loses a big match.
Tonight, with the fans behind him AND a no count out rule in place, he
is confident that HCW will have a new TV champion before the end of the night.
Our second match
is ready to begin. First, ‘Sassy’ Maxine
DeVito comes out to booing from the fans.
She flips off the
fans and makes her way to the ring. She
continues to jaw jack with the fans until the music changed and out comes
tonight’s opponent:
“KORBI KONG SMASH”
sounds over the loudspeakers and Korbi makes her way out to a huge pop from the
crowd. The fan response was much louder
than she expected and both her eyebrows went up and a smirk came across her lips.
She high fives a couple of fans and then
makes her way into the ring. The match
began as soon as she entered the ring with Maxine attacking right off the
bat. The two traded blows for an
astonishing 14 minutes with each attempting multiple pin attempts. We pick up the match at the 14 minute mark.

He stands over Korbi mocking her.
Korbi reaches up grabbing Maxine by the throat. Maxine’s eyes go all wide. Korbi then delivers a choke slam right in the
middle of the ring. She climbs to the
top turnbuckle and launches hitting a Mile High flying elbow drop. The fans pop huge. Korbi rolls out of the ring with a small
measure of payback. The ref helps Maxine
to her feet and she slaps him away before making her way to the back.
We are backstage
again with J9. All of a sudden, TV
Champion Apollo Gyze bumps into J9. She
replies “Hey, watch where you’re going”. Apollo looks at her “Ok, so you’re new
so you don’t get it. Apollo Gyze don’t
apologize now move aside and let greatness through.” J9 replies “Texas Wildfire is here? Where?”
Apollo gets all mad and storms off.
We head back to
the ring for our next match. First,
music plays and out comes:
Texas Wildfire
comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.
He interacts with the fans before making his way into the ring. The pop continues until we hear, blaring over
the loudspeakers “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and out comes the TV Champion.
Apollo is heavily
booed as he makes his way to the ring.
He does his best to ignore them but they get under his skin. He makes his way into the ring brushing by
Wildfire and climbs the turnbuckle holding the TV title over his head. When the booing got to be too much, he
stepped down and handed the title to the ref.
The ref then called for the bell.
Needless to say, this match was all Texas Wildfire. He totally owned the champ from start to
finish. Apollo tried to run away at one
point but with the no count out rule in place, he eventually had to make it
back to the ring. We then pick up the
match at the 15 minute mark.

The fans pop practically blows the roof off the place. He holds the title over his head and climbs
the turnbuckle. Apollo tucks tail and
leaves. TW celebrates with the fans for
a few minutes longer before making his way to the back.
J9: Congratulations to the new TV Champion. Joining me now are the challengers to the Tag
Team titles Scooter J and TNT. Scooter J
steps up “You don’t need to ask us any questions. I’ve got something to say and
I don’t need your stupid input. Steel
Curtain, you cost me the Hardcore title.
You started this war and now we’re going to end it. Tonight, those titles come to the rightful
owners, US.” TNT leans in. “You boys ready for a beatdown? Let’s do this.” TNT and SJ leave.
Larry Morton
introduces the World Tag Team Champions – Buzz and Starbuck Steel – the Steel
Curtain. Buzz is already shaking his
head. “Larry, have you ever met 2 more delusional
dufuses? That hit Scooter J and the
brainless TNT. They call us boys? These boys will kick their asses.” Starbuck speaks up “Scooter J, you started
this by costing me my shot at the World Title.
I have not forgotten that.
Payback will be a bitch.” The
Steel Curtain walk off.
The 4th
match of the evening is ready to get underway.
The challengers
make their way out first to massive booing from the fans. They ignore the fans and make their way into
the ring. They mock the fans which gets
them more irate. All that changes with
the music changes and out comes the World Tag Team Champions – the Steel
Curtain. The fans pop huge as they make
their way to the stage looking very serious.
The champs power walk to the ring and slide under the ropes. Scooter J and TNT bail. Buzz and Starbuck stare intently at them. They climb the turnbuckle and hold their
titles high as their logo appears on the screen.
The Steel Curtain
beg for Scooter J and TNT to enter the ring.
Scooter J yells at them “You’re going to be begging for us to stop
beating your asses.” They enter the ring
but before the match can begin, Scooter J demands the rules to Street Fight
Rules. The Curtain agree.
Scooter J and TNT
take the early advantage but it doesn’t take long for the champs to get in
their groove and take the fight to the challengers. 14 minutes in, Scooter J catches Starbuck
with a superkick and tries to grab the tights for leverage. The ref sees it and stops counting at 2
which infuriated SJ. The battle
continued and a few minutes later, Buzz goes for the Superman punch but SJ
ducks and then backdrops Buzz into the bleachers. He goes for the pin but Starbuck makes the
save. 24 minutes in, Buzz goes for the
Buzz Cut but SJ nullifies it before making the tag to TNT. We join the match at the 27 minute mark.

The challengers
just upset the champions with Scooter J and TNT becoming the NEW WORLD TAG TEAM
CHAMPIONS! Starbuck immediately leaves
the ring and goes to check on his brother who is out cold on the floor. A stretcher comes out after Starbuck hollered
for medical attention. Buzz gets loaded
up on the stretcher and is immediately taken to the back. Scooter J and TNT laugh in the ring and hold
the titles high as the fans let them have it.
They eventually leave.
J9 is backstage
and welcomes Jack Lumber. Before Jack
can begin, his mic is cut off and no one can hear him. Off to the side, we see Dash holding the end
of a plug grinning ear to ear before dropping it and taking off.
Larry Morton is
backstage and in and introduces the King and World Champion the Wicked Prophet. Dash runs in a second later. Prophet holds a hand up to keep Larry quiet.
Wicked
Prophet: Here’s how I see Jack’s career
going:

Dash: That is all that needs to be said. So sayeth the Prophet.
The duo then leave
and head to the ring.
Match #5, our
World title match, is up NOW. First, we
hear “TIMMMMBERRRRRR” and out comes the flannel wearing lumberjack Jack Lumber.
Jack
comes out to raucous applause from the fans. As alluded to earlier, he purchased
the entire ringside section for the lumber lounge and let all fans who signed
up through his website into this important match for FREE!! Jack makes it to the ring and asks for a
mic. “After the stunt pulled by Dash and
the Wicked Prophet last time, I couldn’t risk not having the support of my
fans. Prophet is obviously intimidated
by them. He even created an alter ego (or did he?) and copy my idea to even
have a fanbase. Newsflash for you Prophet, you have to remain consistent and
not be a jerk to have fans.”
“The so-called World Champion and King Wicked
Prophet is neither a winner nor royal. He has one fan in his obsessed minion,
Dash. Tonight, their reign of dishonorable competition ends!” The Lumber
Lounge, which hasn’t stopped cheering, erupts even louder. They are so excited
for their humble hero to have an opportunity for the biggest, most important
belt in the HCW.
Ready
to move past all the drama and cheating the Wicked Prophet brings with, Jack
steps in the ring, ready to bring down the axe and chop down WP’s ego.
The music changes
and Dash Woodbrick comes out first and introduces the King and World Champion
the Wicked Prophet.
The Wicked Prophet and Jack Lumber stand nose to nose; not saying a word but also neither flinching. The bell rings and they both step back. Dash exits the ring. The match begins.

says that Catalina has run and hidden for months now but tonight, she has
nowhere left to hide. Tonight, Violet
gets months’ worth of revenge and part of that includes her regaining the
