HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #780 – Phoenix Heat (7/10)

Hello fans, we are back with another episode of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  The show begins today back in the office of GM Ruth Heartless.  This must be a replay of the conversation she had with Tacoma GM Max McGillicutty about the masked individual who interfered in the Banker/Davis Hoffmeister match.  Ruth tried to declare she didn’t know about any of this but Max tells her that he has dispatched their internal investigator Gardinia Blue who will delve into the mystery surrounding the masked individual.  After listening for a few moments, she hands up the phone.  “I have a show to run and don’t have time for this bullsh!t.”  The camera fades out.

We are back at the ring and pyro goes off and the fans pop as the show begins to get underway.   First, Bob ‘Powder’ Keg makes his way out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  He makes his way down and gets into the ring.  Next, we hear some military music play and out comes a new addition to the Phoenix roster…Col. Samuel Flagg.  Flagg comes out and stands on the stage.  “Ah…Teeeeeen…shun…On your feet you maggots and applaud a REAL American Hero.  I’m here to clean up this pig sty and I’ll make HCW great again.”  He is booed ruthlessly.  He makes his way down to the ring flipping off the fans.  Man, the fans do NOT like this guy.  He gets into the ring and viciously attacks Bob.  Bob tries to get in a few shots but the military man puts the hard boots to him.  Flagg went for the pin a few times and each time he pulled Bob up by the hair breaking the pin.  The ref continued to warn him but Flagg disregarded him.  Finally, at the 17 minute mark, Bob is thrown to the ropes and Flagg hits him with the Patriotic inverted slam.  He makes the lazy cover but doesn’t worry about Bob doing anything as he’s out.  The ref easily counts to 3 and Col. Flagg is victorious in his debut match.  Flagg immediately gets up and puts the boots to Bob again eventually kicking him out of the ring.  Flagg mockingly salutes Bob and the fans and is booed mercilessly.  He flips them off again and then leaves.  (17 min)

Backstage, Ruth is back at her desk and in walks Master Bull.  “In over your head yet?” Bull asks with a smirk on his face.  “You are a son of a b*tch Bull.  Guess what, you’re back in the ring tonight so you better get your ass ready for your match.”  Bull leaves slowly and Ruth stands up.  “We’ll see who outlasts who.”

We head back to the ring for the next match.  First, Muscles McGuire comes out to a pop from the crowd.  He is wearing his rainbow colored bull horns.  He runs around like a goofball and then heads down to the ring.  The music changes and out comes Anthony ‘Static’ Boom.  He stands on the stage and the fans pop as pyro goes off behind him completed by a resounding “BOOM” that echoes throughout the building.  He makes his way to the ring and shakes hands with a few fans before getting into the ring.  He climbs one of the turnbuckles as the fans pop.  He jumps down, removes his jacket and the bell rings to start this one off.  For about 11 minutes, Boom was playing by the rules but was taking a back seat to McGuire.  After the 12th minute, Wilber Townsend came out shaking his head.  He stood there watching Boom for a few minutes.  Then, the lights in the building began to strobe and Boom froze in the ring.  Once the lights resumed their solid state, Boom stood there slightly twitching.  All of a sudden, he went all ape-sh!t on McGuire dragging him to the corner.  He exited the ring and pulled McGuire to the post and wrapped McGuire’s knee against the post twice.  He got back in the ring and locked McGuire up in a figure four leglock.  McGuire had no choice but to tap out after Boom came close to breaking his leg.  The bell rings awarding the match to Boom via submission but he doesn’t let go.  The ref begins to admonish him.  The lights then strobe again briefly and when they go back to normal, Boom releases the hold unaware of what just happened.  Boom asked the ref what was going on and he pointed up to the Omegatron which showed Boom ‘snapping’ (as opposed to THE snap or blip).  Boom says he doesn’t remember any of that.  He immediately looks at the stage and sees Wilber still standing there.  Wilber has a big ol’ smile on his face and begins to laugh.  He then walks off.  Boom rushes after him.  (18 min)

Ruth is back in her office and she announces that the World Tag Team Titles are on the line tonight.  The Jacks will be defending them against the team of Maximillian Redbeard and Superquake Ferguson.  The fans pop.  Ruth tells them that there will be blood shed tonight.  Umm…creepy.

We head to the ring and Hayley Hailstone is in the ring.  Hayley says she took the fight hard to Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie but came up empty handed.  She says the way back to the top is to keep going and tonight, she is calling out Sarona Reiher to challenge her for her spot in the Ladies Top 10.  Sarona comes out to booing from the fans.  She makes her way down, seemingly put off by this challenge.  Sarona gets in the ring and begins to push Hayley around.  The match begins.  Sarona gets in a few shots off the bat but then Hayley took over.  It took almost 8 minutes before Sarona got another offensive move in.  At the 15 minute mark, Hayley called for and hit the Death Valley Driver.  She made the cover and got the 3 count.  Hayley gets the win and skyrockets back up the rankings.  The fans pop for her as he makes her way around the ring celebrating with the fans before heading to the back.  (15 min)

We head backstage and are with the returning El Chango.  El Chango thanks the fans for the warm welcome.  He says he had a conversation first with Master Bull when he still ran the Phoenix show but continued with the new GM after the change.  He says that he has unfinished business in HCW and wanted one final run.  He promises to make the best of it and will dominate like he’s never done before.  The fans pop.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, music hits and out comes former GM Master Bull to a nice pop from the crowd.  He makes his way to the ring and enters.  He doesn’t get to do too much as the music changes quickly and out comes ‘Rowdy’ Roderick Rothchild.  Roderick power walks to the ring and grabs a mic.  Roderick says that as GM, Bull stood by and did nothing as his brother was forced into retirement.  Bull tries to interject but Roderick cuts him off.  Roderick drops the mic and motions for Bull to “bring it”.  Bull shrugs and obliges.   Master Bull held his own for quite a bit of the match until in sneaking from the crowd came the World Tag Team Champions Angry Jack Lawson and Mean Jack Mason.  The Jacks covertly attack Master Bull after he got dumped to the outside of the ring double powerbombing him on the floor and then rolling him back into the ring.  Roderick picked Bull up and began choking him on the ropes before a slingshot into the center of the ring.  Roderick went for the pin and got the 3 count.  Roderick stands up arms raised in victory.  He sneers at Bull and then leaves.  The ref goes to help Bull up but he seems to be ok.  We can tell something is cooking in that brain of his though.  (16 min)

We head backstage where the World Tag Team Champions Mean Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson are being interviewed.

Mean Jack: Scooter J, TNT, I told you we would send you to the morgue. Now your team is dead and buried.

But MAXIMILIAN...REDBEARD...

Mean Jack runs his hands over his bald head.

This is now the second time this year you've gotten in our business. For interfering in my sendoff for TNT, you just went to the front of the line.

Angry Jack:  And Bull, we haven’t forgotten about you.

cue maniacal laughter

We go back to the ring for the next match.   First, Otto Ruthless comes out to booing from the crowd.  He flips them off not caring what they think.  He gets into the ring.  Next, music hits and out comes the returning El Chango.  He gets a nice pop from the Phoenix crowd.  He shakes hands with the fans as he makes his way to the ring.  He climbs in but Otto tries for a shortcut and attacks El Chango before the bell.  Otto’s advantage only lasted a couple of minutes while El Chango was shaking off the ring rust.  After that, he owned Otto.  The match didn’t go very long as a Shooting Star Press 8 minutes in put Otto down for the 3 count.  El Chango gets the win in his first match back in HCW.  He begins to celebrate but then Col. Flagg runs in from the crowd and attacks El Chango.  He throws El Chango hard into the steel post and then locks in cobra clutch putting El Chango to sleep.  Flagg drops him and begins stomping on him as the ref tries to break it up.  The crowd pops when Leon Teremoto rushes out with a steel chair and chases Flagg from the ring.  El Chango starts to recover and Leon helps him to his feet.  The two share an awkward moment before they shake hands.  Leon and El Chango head to the back.

Backstage, Anthony Boom is checked over by a doctor and they cannot see anything wrong.  Anthony is visited by Master Bull.  “I don’t know what happened.  I watched that replay and I can’t believe that was me.”  Bull tells him that he will help him get to the bottom of things but first, he has an errand to run.

It’s time for our Main Event.  First, the challengers Superquake Ferguson and Maximillian Redbeard come out first to a nice pop from the crowd.  They interact with the fans before entering the ring.   Next, the music changes and out comes the World Tag Team Champion the Jacks.  They are booed mercilessly and respond in kind to the fans.  They get into the ring holding the titles in their challenger’s faces.  The bell rings and this one is ready to begin.  The match was pretty even and Redbeard started getting some momentum going but then he got kicked out of the ring.  Mean Jack attacked him while Angry Jack distracted the referee.  Mean Jack then threw Redbeard hard into the steel steps before slapping on some handcuffs and grounding him to the ringside barrier.  The ref continued to count and reached 10 and had no choice but to award the match via countout to the Tag Team Champions.  The fans were unforgiving in the venom they spewed at the champs but they didn’t care.  The show came to an end with the champs in the ring holding their titles high.

Stay tuned as there more to come.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #779 – Tacoma Thunder (7/07)

Hello fans, we are fresh off our Meltdown PPV that came from the oven that is Phoenix, AZ.  One of the last things that came out of the PPV was trying to figure out who the 3 new people are.  Well, we got our first one figured out and we will have an official vignette play later in the show.

Pyro goes off to kick off our show and it seems we are getting right to the action. We begin with some tag team action.  First, the fans pop huge as the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) make their way out.  They interact with the fans and then rush down to the ring.  They each climb a turnbuckle and get the fans psyched for this match.  They needed to do that as the music changed and the cheers changed to booing as Perfect Pecs Stoddard and Shawn ‘Abs of Stone’ Austin come out.  They flip off the fans and then make their way to the ring.  Pecs and Austin took turns distracting the ref while the other hit Buzz and Starbuck with steel chairs causing them to be on the defensive for the majority of the match.  Finally, the Curtain had enough and began taking the match to Pecs and Austin.  As the match drew to a close, the Curtain were dominating the challengers. Once we got to the final minute of the match, both Buzz and Starbuck got into the ring but Pecs dropped Starbuck with a fallaway slam but turned into a reverse neckbreaker from Buzz.  Then the bell rang bringing this one to a time limit draw.  Austin tried to attack Buzz after the bell but Buzz caught him with the Buzz Cut.  The fans pop.  Buzz helps Starbuck to his feet and the two leave to a pop from the crowd.  Pecs and Austin eventually made their way back also.  (30 min draw)

We head backstage where US Champion the Wicked Prophet is being interviewed by Larry Morton.

WP:  Fans, I understand the mixed reaction I am receiving. My true fans know the glory that lies ahead. I am the US champion, but my journey is far from complete. Those who were once my fans and are now booing, boo louder! At the final resting day when I have conquered all my foes and overcome all my obstacles you hissing filth shall be cast off into outer darkness with shame upon your shoulders and the knowledge that you turned from not only a champion but also from the glory you could have shared with those loyal to me.

I proved myself worthy of defending the US title again and I did this on my own accord. No manager was needed. Get thee hence, Preacher! I renounce myself from thy snare of pitiful management.

Larry Morton:  Umm, Preacher is already gone.

WP:  I SAID I renounce thee.

Larry Morton:  Actually, you said you renounce yourself…

WP:  Just…shut it.  Furthermore, Damned be they who taketh glory upon themselves. Apollo Guise, you keep putting your ignorant self in my path and I shall SMITE you.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, the Axe and Superstar Chic Monroe come out to a pop from the crowd.  They make their way down and into the ring.  The music changes and out comes Ghee Buttersnaps and Ovaltine Jackson.  They too are cheered as they head to the ring.  The match begins and it doesn’t take long for Ghee and Ovaltine to take control of the match.  Their dominance surprised Axe and Chic and they began to turn up the intensity.  About 15 min in, the Omegatron flashed again and we hear “TIMMMBERRRRR” and we see (we know his name now is) Jack Lumber, the lumberjack.  The Axe gets pissed and leaves the ring leaving Chic to fend for himself.  Axe storms to the back.   Chic managed to hang on for just a couple of minutes before succumbing to a rear chinlock turned into a pin.  Ghee and Ovaltine get the win.  They check on Chic to make sure he’s ok and then leave.  Chic makes his own way to the back. (26 min)

We have just received an update on Matches Malone.  After his loss to Texas Wildfire and injuries he sustained from the scaffold match, he will be on the shelf for 3-6 months.  He is expected to make a full recovery but it will just take time.

Axe then storms into GM Max McGillicutty’s office.  “So, this flapjack continues to run his promos during my matches…what the hell kind of show are you running here?”  Axe walks to a wall and rips a tv off the wall and smashes it on the ground.  “What the hell is your problem” Max asks.  “Listen, we are still looking into why his vignettes run during your matches but we will get it figured out.  In the meantime, you’re paying for that TV out of your pay.”  Axe storms off.

We go back to the ring for the next match.  First, Adam Jameson makes his way out to a pop from the crowd.  Once in the ring, his music abruptly shuts off and we hear the all-too-annoying “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and out comes the former (ha ha) hardcore champion Apollo Gyze.  The fans boo him and he sneers at them.  Apollo is unhappy as his manager was fired without any input from him.  He didn’t think that Vanilla Zombie’s loss should have impacted him.  He walks over an pushes Adam who drops Apollo with a right hook.  Apollo, astonished, backs up to the corner cowering.  Adam backs off and Apollo gets up and motions for Adam to bring it.  Adam took control early on but a low blow from Apollo began to turn the tide in his favor.   Apollo tried to execute a sit out powerbomb but got distracted when Killa’ Pops came out.  Apollo yelled at him for constantly interfering in his matches.  He wasn’t paying attention to Adam who hit Apollo from behind and then drove him into the steel post.   Adam looked on the outside of the ring and saw a bunch of padding stacked.  Adam grabbed Apollo and pulled him to the top rope with him.  He then nailed the Adam Bomb sending Apollo to the floor landing on that padding.  It may have helped minimize the damage but Apollo was out.  Adam rolled Apollo back into the ring and immediately went for the pin getting the easy 1-2-3.  Adam gets the win and celebrates with the fans.  Killa’ Pops smiles and leaves.  Apollo ends up needing to be helped to the back.  (12 min)

We cut back to the office of the GM and Max is talking on the phone with we assume is Phoenix GM Ruth Heartless.  He says he’s employing the services of their in-house investigator Gardinia Blue to look into who the masked person was who interfered in the Banker/Davis match.  We hear “you can’t do that” on the other end and Max says he can and hangs up the phone.  He then makes another call to Ms. Blue.

Next on the card, we have the second meeting between Ice Dagger and Outback Oscar.   Oscar makes his way out first to a pop from the crowd.  Before he can make it to the ring, Ice Dagger runs out behind him and attacks Oscar.  He rolls Oscar into the ring and the two begin to brawl.   Dagger managed to lock Oscar in the Yukon Cloverleaf a few times but Oscar wouldn’t tap out.  Dagger managed to cheat his way for 18 minutes but then Oscar began to battle back.  Dagger bounces Oscar’s head off the corner turnbuckle and then locks in the Yukon Cloverleaf once again.  Oscar struggles and eventually makes it to the ropes to break the hold.  Ice Dagger then goes off on the ref and even threatens to hit him.  He finally backs off and Oscar hits a knee drop.  He makes the cover and the ref makes a really fast count.  He awards the match via pin to Outback Oscar.  Ice Dagger is furious.  He leaves the ring and grabs a chair and smashes it over Oscar’s head busting him open.  He then takes the chair and chases the ref out of the ring.  Ice Dagger then places the chair around the neck of Oscar and then climbs to the second rope.  Just before he can jump down onto the chair, Oscar’s tag team partner the Crocodile Hunter comes out and prevents the potential career ending injury.  Ice Dagger yells some obscenities at Croc and then leaves.  (26 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

We cut backstage for an interview with Nix Anderson.  Nix says he beat the holy hell out of Apollo to win the Hardcore title only to have that underhanded vampire dog Dr. Red Fang steal it from him (he acknowledges that if he were in the same boat, he would have done the same).  Nix says Fang is on his radar now.

We go back to the Omegatron and we are treated to a vignette from one of our newest editions to the roster Jack Lumber.   The vignette shows Lumber yelling “Timber” as we see Lumber taking down opponents in the ring (apparently from his last place of employment.  At the end, Lumber looks at the camera and says “The bigger they are, the harder they fall and all will fall to the Lumberjack”.

We head back to the ring and the winner of the all-person battle royal Tempest Fortune is there.  Tempest gets on the mic and says that it was great to win $10,000 but she wants more.  She wants a shot at the Ladies title held by Violet Valkyrie.  She says the only way to do that is to move up in the rankings so tonight, she is challenging Felicia Cummings for her spot in the lineup.  Felicia comes out to booing from the fans and she reciprocates in kind.  She gets in the ring asking who the hell Tempest thinks she is challenging her and she slaps her across the face.  Tempest smiles as the bell rings.  Felicia held the advantage for all of 21 minutes of tonight’s match.  She got some near falls but that 3 count she needed eluded her.  At the 22 minute mark, she called for the Sit Out Facebuster.  She tried to execute it but Tempest powered out of it and dropped Felicia with a DDT.  She went for the pin hooking the leg and getting the 1-2-3.  Tempest gets the win and skyrockets to the #1 contenders spot.  The fans pop huge for her.  She celebrates with the fans briefly before heading to the back.  (22 min)

The music changes and out comes Scooter J.  He gets a pop from the crowd.  He gets into the ring and asks for a mic.  He says that it is time for TNT to spread his wings and go solo and that includes TNT’s match tonight for the TV title.  He adds that he is going to take time off to contemplate.  He is NOT retiring and he will be back.  He just needs time to give all those nagging injuries some time to heal.   The fans give him a standing ovation.  He smiles and leaves the ring.

Backstage, Apollo runs into Wicked Prophet and asks where the hell he was during his match.  Prophet looks at him with a perplexed look on his face.  “We are not friends, we are not teammates.  I want nothing to do with you.”  Apollo is shocked.  “We’re a team.  Preacher put us together…we’re a team.”  Prophet looks him in the face and says “Get in my way again and there will be a SMITE in your future.”  Prophet walks away.  Apollo turns and leaves murmuring under his breath “Smite, schmite, wah, wah, wah”.

It’s time for our main event.  First, TNT comes out to a pop from the crowd.  He high fives with the fans and then gets into the ring.  Next, the music changes and the fans practically blow the roof off the place when TV Champion Drew the Canadian Love Machine came out.  He stood on the stage and held his title high as pyro went off behind him showering him in sparks.  He headed down to the ring and climbed in immediately climbing one of the turnbuckles.  He held the title high and the fans somehow got even louder.  He stepped back down into the ring and met TNT in the center.  The ref took the TV title and Drew and TNT shook hands.  The bell then rang.  Drew only held a slight advantage for the first two minutes of the match and then TNT matched him move for move; power for power.  Drew was taken aback by the sheer determination from TNT.  At one point, the ref took a bump and went down.   TNT then hit the ropes trying to take Drew out but Drew pulled the top rope down and TNT went over the top to the floor.  Just then, in from the crowd came Mean Jack Mason.  Mason attacked TNT throwing him into the steel steps.  It looked like Mason was going to powerbomb TNT on the steps until Maximillian Redbeard came out and chased Mason off through the crowd.  TNT crawled back into the ring.  Drew went to check on TNT but ended up eating a dropkick.  Drew shook it off and hit the corkscrew pescado.  He made the cover as the ref recovered and he got the 1-2-3.  Drew gets the win and the fans couldn’t be happier.  Drew goes to check on TNT and helps him to his feet.  The two shake hands and TNT leaves.  The show comes to an end with Drew celebrating with the fans.

More to come so stay tuned.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #778 – Phoenix Heat (7/04) – MELTDOWN PPV

Hello fans and welcome to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  Today, we are coming to you live in Phoenix, AZ for our July 4th PPV spectacular Meltdown.  The show has been sold out ever since the matches for the card were finalized.  Tonight, we have a full line up for you.  Our show will begin with an all roster (excluding the ladies and men who are in their own matches for the night.  We will also see the Tag Team titles defended with the Jacks taking on Scooter J and TNT.  If Scooter J and TNT do not win, they must disband.  The Banker and Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister will meet in a #1 contenders match that will take place within the confines of a steel cage.  The Hardcore title will also be on line with Apollo Gyze defending the title against Nix Anderson.  The match type has yet to be disclosed.   The Ladies title will be defended in a Fatal Four Way with Champion Violet Valkyrie taking on Hayley Hailstone, Sassy Maxine DeVito and Vanilla Zombie.  ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher’s job will be on the line if one of his team doesn’t win.  And if Maxine or Vanilla get pinned, they are out of HCW.    Finally, the NEW World Champion Texas Wildfire puts the belt (and his livelihood) on the line in a Scaffold Match (erected and standing 15’ above the ring) against Matches Malone.  This is one of the most dangerous matches out there and careers can be cut short by them.

The show begins with pyro going off and out comes the new Phoenix GM Ruth Heartless who is booed as she makes her way on to the stage.  Ruth gets on the mic and tells the fans that tonight’s show (her first PPV as GM) will be off the hook with all the great matches lined up for them.  She also says that someone from the past was invited to partake in the battle royal so we have a mystery person participating.  She says that she could give the winner of the battle royal a contract but thinks presenting someone with a big check may do more wonders (Cash is King).  Her last surprise of the evening, although it was never announced so it truly is a surprise to everyone, the 6 Man Tag Team titles will be defended.  The Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman will be taking on the Muscles Trio for the championship.  The fans pop so she takes that as her cue to leave the stage.  Pyro goes off once again and our battle royal is ready to kick things off.

We cut backstage to a promo from the World Tag Team Champions Mean Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson.

Mean Jack: First of all, my angry friend and I would like to thank GM Ruth Hartless for trying to rectify our situation from last week. It's certainly more than Master Bull would have done on the job.

Master Bull, you old bastard, you have made eternal enemies of the Jacks.

Angry Jack:  Scooter J, TNT, forget the retirement home, tonight, we're just sending you to the morgue.

Our next match of the evening is for the 6 Man Tag Team titles.  First, the challengers, the Muscles Trio comes out to a pop from the crowd.  They are wearing their rainbow colored bull horns and carrying around boxes of ‘Booty O’s’ cereal.  They get into the ring and continue to psyche up the crowd but then the music changes and out comes the 6 Man Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman who get an even bigger pop from the crowd.  They interacted with the fans before entering the ring.  The bell rang pretty quickly on this and the champs were in control for the entire match.  The Muscles just weren’t ready and it cost them.  Buzz and Starbuck did most of the work in the ring with Biceps joining in during the triple teaming.  He had mentioned that his knee was acting up but that didn’t affect the outcome.  Buzz and Starbuck tagged frequently to keep the other fresh but Buzz needed a quick tag after getting locked in the Muscles Crush by Weasley and nearly got pinned.  Starbuck was able to make the hot tag and the champs cleaned house.  At the 11 minutes mark, Muscles Thorpe came in but was still munching on his cereal.  He dropped some and almost slipped but then got caught by an Out of this World dropkick from Starbuck who dragged Thorpe to his corner and made the cover.  He got the 3 count and the champs are victorious in their title defense.  The fans pop as the champs were handed their titles.   The Muscles left first followed by the champs.

First, we cut GM Ruth Heartless’ office and in storm the Ambassador and Dr. Red Fang.  The Ambassador claims that Fang got cheated in his match as he defeated Drew but did not expect to have to take on the Ladies winner.  Ruth asks what he wants.   “Fang deserves a title match; we want a shot at a title of our choosing.”  Ruth wastes no time.  “Done.  Here is a blank contract.  Just be sure to get it filled out when cashing in.”  The Ambassador and Fang leave.

We had backstage and are with Nix Anderson.  Nix says that Apollo reign of tyranny comes to an end tonight.  Tonight, Matt Preacher is not in his corner so nothing can save him.  Nix smiles and walks off

Also backstage is the Hardcore Champion Apollo Gyze.  Apollo calls Nix a wannabe and thinks he can just get his way whenever.  Tonight, Apollo says he will not apologize for putting the hurt on Nix.  He walks off.

Our next match is ready to begin.  First, we hear the strumming of a ukulele and out comes Nix Anderson to a small pop from the crowd.  He gets into the ring and keeps playing in an effort to get the fans on his side.  He gets it by default when we hear “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” blare over the loudspeakers.  The Hardcore champ comes out to a massive booing from the fans.  He doesn’t let it phase him.  Once in the ring, the ring announcer states this will be a ‘tables, ladders and chairs’ rules match.  The match begins with both men trading control of the match.  Apollo managed to powerbomb Nix through a table but only got a 2 count.  The champ and his challenger both used the steel chairs on each other to inflict as much damage as humanly possible.  Both men got near falls but neither could get that elusive 3 count.   We join the match at the 12 minute mark.

Fang and the Ambassador leave with the title.  Medical personnel come out and load Nix up on a stretcher and take him to the back.  The fans look on with concern.

We have a break while the steel cage is being constructed for our next match.  We cut back to the office of the GM and Ruth says she has an announcement to make.  She says that taking the cage down will be a waste of manpower and time so every match moving forward will now take place within the confines of the cage.  She said that the Main Event of Texas Wildfire and Matches Malone will still be on a scaffold but it will be affixed to the cage.

We cut backstage to the interview are where the Banker is being interviewed for his upcoming match against Davis.  The Banker says he was robbed of the title and Davis cost him it (umm, no he didn’t) and for him to get his rematch, he will defeat this ‘bank robber’ and put him away for life.

Also backstage is Davis Hoffmeister.  Davis acknowledges the return of El Chango, his one-time partner during the Desperado days but tonight it is all about who deserves it more.  Davis tells the Banker not to cash a check his ass can’t cover as it won’t take much to get overextended, into trouble with the law and then bankruptcy.  Tonight, the Banker’s dreams of regaining the World title come to an end.

The cage is complete and now we head back to the ring.  First, the Banker makes his way out to booing from the crowd.  He flips them off as it didn’t take much to get under his skin and agitate him.  He climbs into the cage and waits.  Next, the music changes and out comes Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister to one of the loudest pops of the night.  He high fives with the fans and makes his way down to the ring.  He goes to enter the cage but the Banker kicks at the door which swings open violently missing Davis’ head by mere inches.  Davis is pissed and enters the ring.  The Banker now has a look of fear on his face and has nowhere to go.  The door is locked shut and the match begins.  Davis goes for a piledriver but the Banker reverses it and then hits a running powerslam into the cage.  Something happened and Davis got cut.  Davis eye rakes the Banker but then gets blasted with a pair of brass knuckles.  The Banker goes for the pin but only gets a one count.  Davis is wearing a crimson mask and it begins to slow him down.  The Banker hits a Credit Check Chop and goes for a quick pin but Davis kicks out.  Davis hits a piledriver but is slow to go for a pin and by the time he makes the cover, the Banker kicks out.  At the 11 minute mark, a masked person rushes down to the ring and hands the Banker a chain.  The Banker hits Davis with it and then showboats.  He finally makes the cover but Davis kicks out.  The Banker can’t believe it.  He then wraps the chain around his leg and hits a Repossession Rib Buster.  He makes the cover and gets a 3 count.  Now, he has to get out of the cage.  Before he does, he uses the chain and ties Davis to the corner securing it with a padlock (where did that come from?) and then casually walks to the door, opens it, turns and smiles at Davis who is struggling to get free and then steps out of the cage ending the match.  The Banker wins and will be next in line after tonight for the next World title match.  The Banker leaves and the ref frees Davis from his bonds and collapses.  Medics come out and try to load him up on the stretcher but he refuses.  Davis makes it to his feet and the fans cheer.  He is helped out of the ring where he stumbled but didn’t fall.  Davis shrugs off help and walks on his own to the back.  He turns on the stage, waves once and then leaves.  What a hell of a match!  (12 min)

While the ring is getting cleaned up, we cut to a quick promo from Scooter J and TNT.  SJ says that tonight, they regain the titles and the Jacks will go back to being enhancement talent.  TNT adds that after they’re done in the cage, the Jacks will be the ones ending up in the morgue.

The ring had the apron removed and replaced and we are ready to go with our next match.  First, Scooter J and TNT come out to a nice pop from the crowd.  They interact with the fans and then enter the unforgiving structure.  The music changes and the fans boo as the Tag Team Champions Mean Jack Mason and Angry Jack Lawson make their way out.  They flip off the fans practically starting a riot.  As soon as they entered the ring, SJ and TNT went on the offensive.  Scooter J tries to choke Mean Jack on the ropes but its reversed and Mason delivers a belly to back suplex.  Angry Jack hits the ring for some double teaming action.  The champs double teamed SJ for 3 minutes but eventually TNT had enough and hit the ring and all 4 men began slugging it out.  TNT gets the hot tag and gets into the ring clearing house before Scooter J joined him to double team Angry Jack.  After some more back and forth action, Scooter J whalloped Angry Jack who shoved him to the mat and made the tag to Mean Jack.   Mean Jack hits Scooter J with a spinebuster slam and goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count.  SJ eye rakes Mean Jack and out of nowhere, Mason hits the Psychotic Break.  Angry Jack rushes in and sandwiches TNT between the ropes and cage while Mason make the cover and gets the 3 count.  The Jacks win the match and retain their titles which means Scooter J and TNT officially have to break up as a team.  The Jacks leave the ring with their titles.  SJ and TNT shake hands and then leave the ring ending their run as a tag team.  (13 min)

There are two matches left for the evening.  The Fatal 4 way Ladies match and the Scaffold World Title match.  First, we are backstage with ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher and he is with Vanilla Zombie and Sassy Maxine DeVito.  Preacher says the title will change hands tonight and it will be one of his ladies who will get the job done.  When questioned what would happen if they lost, Preacher says “We won’t.  I guarantee it”.  The Trio walk off.

We cut to another area where we are with Hayley Hailstone.  Hayley says a storm is coming and everyone better watch out because a hailstone can be small or large but will cause distruction nonetheless.  Hayley says that it is her chance to shine and says that no one will prevent her from fulfilling her destiny.

Finally, the Ladies Champion Violet Valkyrie has her chance to speak.  She says that it has been a fun ride being the Ladies Champion and doesn’t see any other options so she’s staying put.  “This soccer mom is going to kick some major ASS tonight.  I will walk in as the champion and will walk out the same.  You can take that bet to Vegas!”

It’s time for the Fatal Four Way for the Ladies Title.  First, ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher comes out leading Vanilla Zombie and Sassy Maxine DeVito down to the ring.  He holds the cage open and the ladies enter the structure.  Vanilla stands around looking quizzically while Maxine tests out the bars of the cage.  The music changes and out comes Hayley Hailstone.  The fans pop as she makes her way out and down to the ring.  She high fives with the fans and interacts with those at ringside but she doesn’t enter the ring with the odds stacked against her.  The music changes once again and the stage fills up with fog.  Like a rocket, the Ladies Champ comes zipping down to the ring on her zipline.  It stops at the cage wall.  Violet unfastens herself and then sits on the top of the cage.  The fans pop.  She looks down at Hayley who begins to enter the ring at the same time Violet is climbing down to prevent any pre-match attacks.  Violet hands over her title to the ref and the match begins.

Hayley by far had the best outing over everyone else but every time she went for the pin, it was interrupted.  All 4 women experienced the unforgiving nature of the cage.  Preacher did try to get involved but Violet grabbed him through the cage and pulled him, face first, into the cage knocking him out.  We join the match at the 12 min mark.

Hayley looks on disappointed and we cut to Maxine who actually looks relieved.  With this loss, both Matt Preacher and Vanilla Zombie are out of HCW.  Maxine takes off and Hayley and Violet have a stare down in the ring.  Hayley extends her hand and Violet shakes it but Hayley doesn’t let go.  She pulls Violet in close and says “This isn’t over yet.  You and I will get a one on one match and then we’ll see who the better person is.”  She releases her hand, raises Violet’s arm in victory and then leaves so that Violet can celebrate on her own.

We cut to the back and we are with the challenger Matches Malone.  Malone says all he wanted was to get rid of Wildfire and now once he’s successful, he’ll be the World Champion…an added bonus.   Malone then flicks a match stick at the camera and walks away.

The final promo of the night is with World Champion Texas Wildfire.  TW says that Malone has been a stick in his side from the get-go and tonight, win or lose, this all comes to an end.  “Malone, I said it before and I’ll say it again.   You messed with the wrong hombre and tonight, it all ends.”

The main event is ready to begin.  First, Matches Malone comes out to booing from the crowd.  He doesn’t care and takes great joy in flicking match sticks at the fans to get them riled up. He gets into the ring and begins to climb the scaffold.   The World Champion comes out next and makes a beeline for the ring.  He gets into the ring and begins climbing the scaffold.  Malone tries to rush to beat him to the top so that he can have the higher ground but he slips and almost loses his footing.  He makes it to the top but Wildfire is already waiting.
