HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #741 – Tacoma Thunder (01/20)

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  Well, one thing is abundantly clear…Apollo Gyze is still getting under the skin of Phoenix GM Master Bull. 

In other news, Bishop Ripley did not take kindly to the un-kind words spoken about him by Apollo Gyze.  He has challenged Apollo to a non-title match tonight and GM Max McGillicutty has signed off on it.  Also, World Champion Texas Wildfire is here and will be defending his title tonight.

It seems that these days, everyone with a camera phone fancies themselves as paparazzi.  The one time it seemed to pay off was out on the golf course.  You may remember that a week ago, Reid Rothchild was supposedly “injured” in his match against the Wicked Prophet however, said paparazzi caught Reid, his brother Roderick and Roderick’s manager the Ambassador out on the Phoenix golf course and he looked fine.  It just goes to show that Reid totally is a jerk and do whatever to make people feel bad.

Our show kicks off with pyro and the spotlights zipping all over the place.  First, Bishop Ripley comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.  He said he has a message for Apollo and will explain it to him in the ring.  Next, we hear over the loudspeakers “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE” and out comes the Hardcore champion in this non-title match.  Apollo was none too happy being forced to be on the show but then have to fight Bishop who he deems beneath him.   The match begins and Bishop is all over Apollo.  I guess Apollo didn’t do his homework of scouting out your opponent.  Bishop controlled the pace of the entire match until both men took out the ref as they tumbled out of the ring. With the ref down, there was no one to count.  Apollo and Bishop crawled back into the ring.  Bishop went to check on the ref but Apollo attacked him hitting a spin out powerbomb.  He went for the cover but there was no one to make the count.  Just then, the Wicked Prophet ran out in a referee shirt (his referee contract was good for a year).  Apollo began to jawjack with him.  The Prophet told Apollo to turn around.  Apollo wouldn’t listen.  Prophet told him to watch out.  Apollo wouldn’t listen.  When he finally turned around, Bishop hit him with the Alien Resurrection.  He made the cover and WP counted 1…2…3.  Bishop Ripley gets the win in a non-title match and now has to be considered for a future title shot.  Wicked Prophet and Bishop leave.  Once Apollo got up, he realized he’d lost and he blew his top.  He kicked the ropes a few times and then eventually left. (10 min)

Former Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel makes her way out.  She gets in the ring and says that she defeated Kimberly Kiccsass in decisive manner and that should make her the #1 contender.  She then calls out Ladies Champion Ruby Rose.  Ruby comes out and joins her in the ring.  Raquel states she wants a match for the title at the PPV.  Ruby reminds her she is NOT the #1 contender and asks what she plans on offering for this shot.  Raquel says that she will forgo the Ambassador’s mentorship and it will be 1 on 1.  Ruby says “Good but not good enough”.  Raquel asks what else she expects.  Ruby told her to put her career on the line.  Raquel thought about it for a moment and then agreed.  The two shook hands.  Well, it looks like we have our first match for next month’s PPV locked in.  Both women left on their own.

Backstage, the World Champion Texas Wildfire arrives and the fans pop huge.  He walks over to GM Max McGillicutty’s office and checks in.  Max tells him that Rad Gumbo still has not submitted for his rematch as of yet.  TW shakes his head.  “Ok, who then do I get tonight?”  Max picks a name at random.  “Regulator Mule”.  “Ok” TW says, “I’ll go get ready.”  Texas Wildfire walks out of the office.

Next on the card, the burly Russian Ivan Dragovich makes his way out and the fans boo him.  He threatens hit punch a few and even grabs the sign for the Axe that a fan had and tore it into many pieces.  He laughed as he threw the pieces into the crowd.   The music changed and out comes the Axe.  The fans pop as he makes his way out.  Axe makes a point at stopping by the fan whose sign got torn up and takes a selfie with him.  After some high fives, he makes his way into the ring.  Ivan immediately attacks him upon entering but after only a few seconds, the Axe began to own the match.  After delivering an eye rake to the Axe, Ivan went to the far corner and started stomping his foot on the apron.  Axe came out of his corner and Ivan caught him with a jumping side kick.  Axe went down.  Ivan quickly made the cover and with a hook of the leg (and the tights), he got the 1-2-3.  Ivan clearly stole a win here tonight.  The ref looked up to see some of the replay and saw what Ivan was doing in the corner.  The ref began to question Ivan but Ivan played innocent.  He then took off before the ref could do anything else.  Ivan laughed all the way to the back.  (5 min)

We go backstage and we are with Hayley Hailstone.  Hayley says that at some point, Ruby will have to give her a match and she’s patiently waiting her turn.  Lady Hermann then walks over and begins to push Hayley around some.  Hayley challenges her to a match tonight.  Lady Hermann says that she will even make it more interesting for her diminutive little friend.  She will put her spot in the Ladies top 10 on the line and if Hayley can defeat her (which she won’t), she can move up the rankings the right way.  Lady Hermann walks off.

We head back to the ring for one on one action between two of our newest hires.  First, Shawn ‘Abs of Stone’ Austin makes his way out first and he is booed the entire way down.  Next, Maximillian Redbeard comes out and the fans pop pretty loud for him.  Austin does not like that.  Maximillian makes his way into the ring and Austin charges at him but Redbeard throws a knock out punch and Austin is out cold.  The match hasn’t even started.  This one is declared a no-contest.  The fans pop as Redbeard leaves.  The ref taps Shawn on the face a few times to wake him up.  The fans laugh as he makes his way to the back.  (no contest)

Protocide is backstage and he says that he’s not through with Hardcore Hensen by a long shot.  If he thinks the mind games are over, the former drill sergeant is sadly mistaken.

Hayley Hailstone vs Lady Hermann is up next.  First, Lady Hermann came out to booing from the crowd but as soon as Hayley's music hit, the fans popped loud.   The match began and even with the size difference between the two, Hayley held her own and the longer the match went on, the more  Hayley took control of the match.  It was unfortunate that the match only had a 20 min time limit otherwise Hayley would have won this one.  Once the bell rang, Lady Hermann took off as it appeared she'd had enough.  Hayley celebrated with the fans before leaving. (20 min draw)

There is commotion backstage as Shawn Austin has attacked Maximillian Redbeard and he’s beating him down with a chair.  “WHO’S LAUGHING NOW, HUH?  Shawn throws the chair away and storms off.  A beaten and bloodied Redbeard makes it to his feet and glares after Austin.

We head back to the ring for the next match.  First, we hear the awful parody “Ice Dagger Baby” play and Ice Dagger makes his way out to the stage.  The fans boo the crap out of him but he does a little dance (ala Disco Inferfo (the wrestler, not the song)) and then makes his way down to the ring.  Next, Protocide’s music hits and out he comes to a decent pop from the crowd.  He rushes the ring and slides under.  The bell rings.  The match was controlled by Protocide for almost 17 minutes.  After being tossed out of the ring by Ice Dagger, Protocide was ambushed by his former sergeant Hardcore Hensen.  Hensen threw Protocide into the ringpost and powerslammed him on the floor (Ice Dagger distracted the ref) and then threw him back in.  Hensen took off through the crowd.  Even with his opponent severely weakened, Ice Dagger couldn’t get a 3 count.  After an eye rake, a knee lift and reversing a single leg takedown into a back body drop, ID just couldn’t get the job done.  The bell rings bringing this one to a draw finish.  Ice Dagger wasn’t through.  He picked up Protocide and called for his ending move the Ice Breaker but Protocide started to pepper ID with lefts and rights and then threw him into the ropes connecting with the Prototype.  The fans pop as Protocide leaves.  Ice Dagger eventually left.  (20 min draw) 

We cut backstage again and we seed a bandaged and bloodied Maximillian Redbeard chasing Shawn Austin through a parking lot.  Austin manages to escape barely by getting into his car and driving off.  A pissed off Redbeard sees an old junker sitting in the parking garage and he flips it on to its side.

It’s time for our Main Event.  First, Regulator Mule comes out to a small pop from the crowd.  He is NOT who the fans want to see tonight.  Next, the music changes and out comes the World Champion Texas Wildfire.  The fans explode as the champ comes out and his pyro goes off.  He high fives the fans and makes his way to the ring.  He gets in and climbs the turnbuckles holding his title high.  The fans pop louder and louder.  He gets down, hands the title to the ref and extends his hand to Regulator Mule.  Mule shakes it but then attacks TW.  Mule hits an elbow smash and TW counters with rapid fire punches.  TW then follows it up with the Hangman’s Clothesline.  He immediately makes the cover hooking the leg and gets the 1-2-3.  The Champ has won the match in only 2 minutes.  The ref hands him his title and he holds it high.  He climbs the turnbuckle once again pumping his fist into the air.  The fans pop louder and louder as the show comes to an end.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #740 – Phoenix Heat (01/16)

Hello fans and welcome back to our newsletter.  We are back in sunny Phoenix for the next episode of HCW’s Phoenix Heat. 

Pyro goes off and the spotlights swirl around the arena as the fans pop for the beginning of the show.  The Omegatron lights up and it’s….ugh…Apollo Gyze once again.  I guess he’s got another ‘public service announcement’ for us:

“Looks like the HCW is up to it’s normal fuckery, you got Hardcore Hailee (Hensen) stealing matches as usual. Outback Oscar finally got an Oscar for all that bad acting he’s been doing.

The false Profit lasted another week in the HCW, this only back my claims that I’m superior to all other wrestlers. I can’t believe the fans actually like that guy, he’s been on the scene for 2months and he already injured an actual wrestler. Reid with all that money you have, you should of just paid me to take out the False Profit. No worry’s now Profit has been mouthing off to the washed up champ Beanno Jaqass and I’m sure that is a check his @$$ can’t cash. Im hearing a lot of murmurings and snickering behind my back and I have two things for everyone. 1 I don’t apologize for anything I say or do 2. If anyone does have problem with anything I do or say, I defend my title 24/7 which means you can get this title or ass whooping any Time, where, and place.”

We immediately cut back to GM Master Bull’s office and he is LIVID.  He’s on the phone with someone.  “WHAT IN THE HELL WAS THAT?  WHO IN THE HELL AUTHORIZED THIS JACKMUNCH BEING GIVEN ANY AIRTIME?  Oh, it was YOU?  You’re fired.  Get me your supervisor….You, you’re fired too.  Give me your supervisor…Do me a favor and hire the right people.  What…outsourced?  What the hell are you talking about?  Listen, I run this show and you will do as I say.  Fix this now!”  Master Bull slams the phone down, begins seething and then violently brushes everything off his desk.  He just stands there.  A knock on the door results in an explosive profane barrage that has the stage hand peek in and then close the door.

Our show begins and the fans pop as ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston makes his way out and down to the ring.  He gets a little bit of interaction time with the fans before the music plays and out comes the Banker and his manager Ruth Heartless.  The duo are booed as they head down to the ring but they do their best to ignore the fans.  The match was off to a slow start which resulting in ‘boring’ chants being directed at the competitors but then it was the Banker who turned up the heat and began to dominate the match.  At the 12 minute mark, the Banker caught Lucas with an overdraft uppercut and he made the cover (Ruth held Lucas’ leg down) and he got the 1-2-3.  The Banker gets the win and the fans aren’t pleased.  He mockingly smiles at the fans and then he and his manager depart.  (12 min)

We head backstage and we are with Tommy Lightning.  Tommy complains that Biceps Bannerman stole his spot in teaming with the Steel Curtain and feels that he should be teaming with them.  When the interviewer tries to correct Tommy that Biceps did in fact win the belts with the Steel Curtain, he began to fly off the handle and said that Biceps would ‘pay’ before storming off.

Next up, we have ourselves some 6 man tag team action.  First, the Huber Clan (Butch, Ferb and Junior) came out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Shortly after they arrived in the ring, their opponents the 5^th Column (Baron von Blood, Oswald Zimmerman and Karl Braun) came out and the fans went off on them. They do not like them.  The Column flip the fans off and threaten to hit a few on their way down to the ring.  The Column hit the ring and attack the Hubers.  Although it started as pretty one-sided, the Hubers battled back and held their own against the former champs.  At the 15 minute mark, Junior hits the Mountain Man Cutter on Baron and easily gets the 3 count.  The Hubers get the win.  They celebrate briefly before leaving.  The 5^th Column followed shortly thereafter.  (15 min)

Biceps Bannerman is backstage and he says he doesn’t know what Tommy’s problem is.  He seems to think that somehow life has thrown him a curveball and he’s gone down swinging.  Tommy seems to have lost his grasp on reality and is lashing out against anyone.  Tonight, he will set Tommy right…whether he likes it or not.

The next match begins and Biceps Bannerman comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.  He begins the walk down to the ring until Tommy Lightning comes running out and attacks Biceps from behind.  Tommy got in some solid shots before rolling Bannerman into the ring.  The ref calls for the bell to begin the match.  After the bell rang, Tommy was lucky to get in 2 offensive moves against the onslaught that Biceps brought.  Biceps only needed 7 minutes and a huge kick to the gut to get the quick pin.  Biceps is declared the winner and enjoys the pop from the crowd.  Tommy, pissed, rolls out of the ring, grabs a chair and slides back in.  He makes like he’s going to hit Biceps but then Starbuck Steel rushes out.  Biceps turns around to see Tommy wielding the chair.  Starbuck rolls in and begins to yell at Tommy.  “What is your problem?  You were out due to injury.  What did you expect us to do?  It sucks but get over it.”  Tommy mumbles “You get over it” and then blasts Starbuck in the head with the chair.  He tries to take a swing at Biceps but Bannerman yanks the chair out of his hands.  Tommy then takes off.  Biceps goes to check on Starbuck who has a cut on his head.  It’s not bad but Starbuck is pissed off now.  Biceps helps him up and the two head to the back.  (7 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

We cut backstage and Kimberly Kiccsass is addressing her turn on Ravishing Raquel in their tag match.  Kimberly states that Raquel is full of herself thinking she’s holier than thou.  She blames Raquel for costing them the match and says that she will prove once and for all why she’s better and Raquel will just have to live with it.

We head to the ring and Roderick Rothchild makes his way out with his manager the Ambassador.  Once in the ring, Roderick says that he’s undefeated in 2019 and says that he’s beaten everyone who’s come across his path (Duh, that’s what undefeated means you dolt) and says he wants some real competition.  Music hits and the fans pop as Buzz Steel makes his way out.  Buzz gets in the ring and says that if someone wants a fight, he’s here to oblige.  The Ambassador got involved early and often (as he was the one time manager of the Steel Curtain, he ‘knows’ them) and that gave Roderick the advantage.  Roderick spent a LOT of time choking Buzz on the ropes.  12 minutes in, Roderick connects with an airplane spin and goes for a sloppy pin but Buzz kicks right out.  A few minutes later, Buzz hits the Buzz Cut but is distracted by the Ambassador.  Buzz threatens him but Roderick chokes him on the ropes again.  Roderick small packages Buzz and with a handful of tights, he gets the 1-2-3.  Roderick gets the win and continues his undefeated streak.  Roderick says he’s bypassing all the lower class belts and is setting his sights on the World Title.  (17 min)

We head backstage where Hardcore Hensen, Jacques Beannot and their manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  Preacher says that his team gets their rematch against the Tag Team champs and he guarantees a win tonight.  Hensen chimes in and says that he hasn’t forgotten about Apollo Gyze – the man who stole his title.  Once he and Jacques win the belts, he’s coming back after his title.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Kimberly Kiccsass comes out and the fans boo her.  She glares at them and pompously walks down to the ring.  She mocks the fans egging them on.  The music changes and out comes Ravishing Raquel to a surprisingly loud pop.  She gets ready to head to the ring but she is joined by her manager the Ambassador who receives a chorus of booing as he joins Raquel. The duo head down to the ring.   The match begins right away and after Raquel connected with a moonsault, the two were pretty evenly paced until Kimberly connected with the Christo.  She went for the pin but Raquel kicked out at 2.   Kimberly followed it up with a dragon sleeper but Raquel made it to the ropes to break the hold.   She then hit a flying hurricanrana and tried for a quick pin but Raquel kicked out.  Raquel began to fight back taking Kimberly off her game.  18 minutes in, the Ambassador hits Kimberly with his cane.  Raquel goes for the pin but Kimberly manages to get her foot on the bottom rope.   Raquel hits a diving knee drop for another 2 count.   The Ambassador then appeared to slip Raquel a foreign object.  Raquel rams Kimberly into the corner shoulder first and locks in the Ravishing Armbar.  Kimberly doesn’t submit.  Kimberly then jumps to the ropes trying for something but falls off the ropes landing awkwardly on her foot.  Raquel then kicked her leg out from under her and locked in an ankle lock.  She pulled Kimberly into the middle of the ring and with no hope of making it to the ropes, she tapped out.  Ravishing Raquel gets the win via submission.  Raquel grabs a mic and she challenges Ruby to a rematch for the Ladies title at the PPV.  She says that if she doesn’t win the belt, she’ll retire.  She drops the mic and she and the Ambassador leave.  (23 min) 

We are once again backstage with the World Tag Team Champions TNT and Scooter J.  SJ says that they beat Hensen and Beannot once, they will do it again.  TNT says that Hensen is too preoccupied and he is willing to bet that the titles are not going anywhere.  The two then head to the ring.

We head to GM Master Bull’s office once again.  He seems to have cooled off.  Looking at the carnage that was his office, he realizes that in a fit of anger, he’s fired 10 people today.  Bull picks up the phone and calls the production supervisor.  He apologizes (unlike Apollo Gyze who won’t) for losing his temper and tells the supervisor to rehire everyone.  He hangs up and says to himself that he needs to work on his anger issues but Apollo Gyze just brings out the worst in everyone.

It’s time for our main event.  First, Hardcore Hensen and Jacques Beannot come out accompanied by their manager Matt Preacher.  The trio are booed as they head to the ring.  Hensen threatened to hit a few fans but held back.  Once in the ring, Preacher begins yelling how they are looking at the next tag team champions.  The music changes and out comes the World Tag Team Champions Scooter J and TNT.  The fans pop as they head down to the ring.  The match began after the champs handed their titles over.  Scooter J and TNT were able to control the first few minutes but after Preacher got involved, they tied things up pretty quickly.  As the match progressed, it stayed pretty even with both teams hitting high spot moves and their specialties but neither were able to secure a pin.  About 20 minutes in, Preacher stuck his nose in one too many times, and Scooter J sent him flying into the crowd taking him out of the match.  The two teams then continued to fight with the champs taking the slight lead.  At the start of the 29^th minutes, it seemed like this one was going to go to the time limit.  All of a sudden, Protocide makes his way out.  Hensen just hit Scooter J with the Hard Times but got distracted so he didn’t attempt a pin.  SJ tagged TNT in and while Hensen was distracted, he turned him around, picked him up over his head, pressed him and then slammed him hard to the mat.  TNT went for the pin and got the 3 count. The champs retain their titles.  Scooter J grabs a mic and says that Preacher got one thing right tonight.  He guaranteed a win…however it was for the champs and not his team.  Hensen ended up rolling out of the ring and Protocide attacked him and the two fought to the back.  Jacques Beannot gathered up his manager and helped him to the back.  The champs stayed a few minutes to the cheering of the fans as the show comes to an end.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #739 – Tacoma Thunder (01/13)

Hello fans and welcome back to another action packed episode of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  Our show begins with a taped message from the Hardcore Champion Apollo Gyze:

“The HARDCORE CHAMPION IS IN THE HOOOOOOSE!

I too agree with what Jacques Beannot did to the False Prophet, he doesn’t belong in the ring with us entertainers. He’s a sub-par broadcaster @best. Bishop Ripley should really consider retiring after that loss to the False Prophet. Really Bishop, you lose your first match of 2019 to a fan turned broadcaster/ talent enhancer! False prophet had no business refereeing that title fight Jacques had last year and Jacque had no business with the title in the first place. Far as I see it everyone here is a small fish in the sea, & I’m the next big TIDAL WAVE and if you don’t get on this upcoming WAVE your going to get knocked out the hell out the way. As for Hardcore Hannah (Hardcore Hensen) How dare you interrupt a champion while I’m addressing all you inferior wrestlers. Someone ought to teach you a lesson, and I know just the teacher to teach ya!”

Tough words from a tough champion.

Pyro goes off and our show is ready to get started.  The first match of the night will be a spot challenge.  Tonight, Outback Oscar is challenging Hardcore Hensen for his spot in the Hardcore title top 10 as he wants to move up the rankings.  Oscar’s music hits and the fan favorite gets a pop as he makes his way out and down to the ring.  He gets in the ring and almost immediately the music changes and we hear “BECAUSE I’M HARDCORE” and out comes Hardcore Hensen and his manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  Tonight, Hensen defends his spot in the lineup.  As soon as he entered the ring, he immediately attacked Oscar beating him down.  Hensen dominated the match but to his credit, Oscar wouldn’t give up.  Just when it looked like this one may be going to a time limit draw, Preacher got involved and hit Oscar in the face with a slap.  There may have been something in his hand as Oscar went down like a ton of bricks.  Hensen immediately made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Hardcore Hensen retains his spot.  Preacher joined him in the ring and then the music changed and out comes (the new) Protocide.  Again, this guy really looks different.  Protocide hits the ring and he and Hensen begin brawling.  The fight falls out of the ring and the two battle all the way to the back.  (19 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

Backstage, Ladies Champion Ruby Rose says that since a #1 contender was not determined after the Hayley/Violet match that she was told she had to defend her title against Vanilla Zombie but she is not even close to being a top contender so she is going to offer the first title defense to the woman who won her match in Phoenix – Betsy Cummings.  She acknowledges that at some point, Vanilla will get her mandated title match.

Our next match is ready to go with Women’s tag team action.  First, Kimberly Kiccsass and Ravishing Raquel come out to booing from the crowd.  Kimberly and Raquel have a very uneasy alliance for this match and it will be interesting to see if the two of them can work together or not.  Next, the fans pop as Hayley Hailstone and Violet Valkyrie come out.  The two high-five with the fans as they make their way down to the ring.  They get in and each climb a turnbuckle as the fans pop but keeping an eye out on their crafty opponents.   The match began and for 6 minutes, Kimberly and Raquel seemed to be working ok together.  A blind tag from Kimberly who wanted to go for the easy pin put a strain on their relationship.  Hayley and Violet used this and began taking the match to their opponents.  This went on for about 7 minutes until Kimberly and Raquel had some time to consult on the outside, set aside their differences and turn up the heat again.  Kimberly and Raquel then dominated the rest of the match.  18 minutes in, Kimberly locks up Hayley with a back mounted rear chinlock and went for a pin but Hayley managed to kick out.  This time, Raquel made the blind tag and got in the ring.  She called for the Simply Ravishing but Hayley hit a Shimmering Warlock Enzuigiri and rolled Raquel up for the 1-2-3.  Hayley and Violet got the upset win and the fans love it.  The two immediately leave the ring as Kimberly came charging in.  They left to a pop from the crowd.  Back in the ring, Kimberly and Raquel began to start pushing and shoving each other.  Kimberly hits Raquel with the Christo and then leaves her in the ring.  The crowd boos as she leaves.  The ref helps Raquel to the back.  (19 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

Backstage, we are treated to a visit from the World Champion Texas Wildfire.  TW says he’s heard King Rad Gumbo’s comments from last week and says that if Rad is done crying about his loss, he can enact his rematch clause and he’ll give him his shot.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  This is another challenge match and this time, it is for placement for the US title.  First, ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild makes his way out to booing from the crowd.  The Elitist doesn’t care and ignores the fans.  Next we hear “Preach, Brother” through the loudspeakers (I guess he didn’t get authorization from Megadeth to continue using their music) and out comes the Wicked Prophet.  Prophet gets a pop from the crowd and he high-fives with the fans as he makes his way to the ring.  He gets in the ring and as he tries to get the crowd psyched up, Reid yells at him to get this match underway.  Right off the bat, both men hit their high moves – Prophet hitting the Crucifix Clutch and Reid hitting the Rothchild Stunner.  Both men go down.  Prophet is up first and hits the SMITE.  Something appears to be wrong with Reid.  Prophet hits the Prop 8 followed by the Unrighteous Dominion and goes for the uncontested pin.  He gets the win in just 4 minutes.  The ref puts his arms in an X and medical comes out.  Prophet steps aside as medical tend to Reid.  Not sure what happened but they are in a quick hurry to get him out of there.  The fans are concerned about Reid but still cheer Prophet for his win.  He leaves after interacting with the fans.  (4 min)

Betsy Cummings is backstage and she says that it’s about time that she gets a shot at the Ladies title.  She claims that management has been elevating others who don’t deserve it and says that Ruby is right about one thing and that she is deserving of the title match.  What she is wrong about is that she will underestimate her and it will be Betsy walking out tonight as the champion.

The Regulators (Mule and Mammoth) make their way out to the ring to booing from the crowd.  Next, the team of Maximillian Redbeard and Superquake Ferguson come out to a pop from the crowd.  Maximillian takes the mic and says he’s calling out the Ass-Jacks (Angry Jack and Mean Jack) and says that now that Superquake has a real partner in his corner, those two schmucks are welcome to try something.  They’re here waiting.  The match begins and within a few minutes, the lights go out and when they come back on, the ref is down and Angry Jack Lawson and Mean Jack Mason are in the ring just beating the tar out of Redbeard and Superquake with steel chairs.  The two Jacks pull Redbeard out of the ring and, after setting up a table, double chokeslammed him right through it.  Angry Jack then hit Superquake with a tombstone piledriver.  They then took off as the ref began to stir.  The Regulators, not carrying about the attack, took the match to their opponents.  Redbeard and Superquake weren’t able to get much in the way of offense in so the Regulators dominated and after Mule hit Ferguson with a Regulator Roundhouse, he made the cover getting the easy 1-2-3.  The Regulators get the win much to the chagrin of the fans.  (18 min)  Trainers came from the back to help both Superquake and Redbeard to the back. 

Backstage, Jesse California is chatting it up with some female fans and he is interrupted by ‘Big Money’ Ned Rhyerson III.  Ned makes fun of Jesse in front of the ladies and they giggle and walk away.  Jesse is a bit perturbed.  Jesse turns to Ned “What is your problem?  Sad because you suck and no one likes you?”  Ned laughs.  “Speaking of sucking, when was the last time you were in the limelight chump nugget?”  Both men stand toe to toe and Ned says “There’s a ring right out there if you want to prove yourself…little man” and walks away.  Jesse stood there steaming and then made a beeline towards the ring.

Our next match looks like it will be another placement match as Ned Rhyerson is looking to move up in the rankings and wants to use Jesse California as a stepping stone.  Ned comes out first and is booed pretty heavily.  Once in the ring, Jesse’s music hits and he comes out making a beeline for the ring.  As soon as he gets in, the two begin slugging it out and the bell rings to start this one off.  Jesse controlled the first part of the match but Ned began to battle back.   This went on for almost 15 minutes.  Ned then tried for a step over toehold but Jesse used his other foot to push Ned off and Ned went flying into the corner connecting with the steel post.  Ned staggered back into the ring and Jesse hit the ropes connecting with the Famouser leg drop bulldog.  He makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Jesse California gets the win, retains his spot in the top 10 and exacts a bit of revenge on Ned.  He gets a mixed reaction from the crowd as he leaves.  Ned eventually makes it to his feet and slowly follows.  (16 min)

We cut to the back and are in GM Max McGillicutty’s office.  He’s talking on the phone presumably with the hospital checking on Reid.  It seems that he is ok but they will keep him overnight for evaluation.  After hanging up with the hospital, he gets another call.  We can’t hear who’s on the other end but Max smiles big when he hears that person’s voice.  We hear Max say “It will be good to have you back.  Take your time.  No rush.”  Max stands up and sends the camera man out of his office before closing the door.  Well, I guess that’s all we get.

It is time for our main event.  First, Betsy Cummings makes her way out to the ring to booing from the crowd.  Once in the ring, the ref takes a mic and says that if Felicia shows up anywhere around the ring at any point in this match, he will immediately disqualify her.  The ref then left the ring and with a flashlight in hand, began shining it under the ring going around to all 4 sides.  Before he came around to the last one, we see someone crawl out and disappear into the audience (presumably was Felicia).  Betsy was having a tantrum in the ring.  Next, the music changes and out comes the Ladies Champion Ruby Rose.  She gets a pop as she makes her way down to the ring.  She climbs in and immediately climbs the turnbuckle holding her title high.  She steps down and hands the belt to the ref.  This one didn’t go very long. Ruby started off hitting Betsy with a pendulum backbreaker.  She then followed it up with a Russian legsweep.  Third, she connected with an inverted DDT followed by the Red Wedding Facebuster.  Ruby made the cover and got the 3 count.  Ruby Rose is successful in her first title defense and secures the win in only 4 minutes.  Just then music hits and out comes Vanilla Zombie accompanied by her manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  Preacher blasts Ruby for not adhering to the GM’s decree that Vanilla was to get the next shot.  Ruby takes a mic and says she hasn’t worked up a sweat yet so if Vanilla wants her shot here and now, she’s ready. 

It looks like we have another title match.  Vanilla Zombie heads down to the ring with Preacher in tow.  She gets in the ring and just stares at Ruby.  The ref goes over to Preacher and tells him if any shenanigans happen, he will disqualify Vanilla and she will lose her shot at the title.   The bell rings and we have our next match.  Vanilla Zombie put up a little more fight but the champ was still on the top of her game.  The two would trade blows until Ruby hit a pendulum backbreaker on Vanilla.  Preacher jumped up on the apron yelling that nothing was being done to keep Ruby in check.  When the ref told Matt that Ruby did/is doing nothing wrong and told him to step down, Preacher took a swing at the ref connecting on the jaw.  The ref, pissed, immediately disqualified Vanilla and awarded the match to Ruby Rose.  Ruby gets her second win of the night.  Vanilla and Preacher then storm off to the back leaving Ruby to celebrate in the ring with the fans to bring the show to an end.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #738 – Phoenix Heat

Hello fans and welcome to the first Phoenix Heat show of 2019.  GM Master Bull comes out to a pop from the crowd and he says that he echoes the statements that GM Max McGillicutty made in Tacoma thanking the fans for a fantastic 2018 and an even better 2019.  Bull promises that Phoenix will be upping their game and will dominate the HCW scene for the next 12 months.  Bull is then interrupted as the Omegatron lights up and the house lights dim for what looks to be a vignette.

Intro

It begins in a hallway of a wooden style house. The camera moves towards a bedroom door which is closed. A sweet old woman off camera is heard calling out "Jack, time to play dear!" The door opens and Mean Jack steps out into frame where he looks into the camera and lets out an angry roar. A graphic then appears on screen "MEAN JACK IS COMING TO PLAY".

Master Bull is not happy with the interruption and says that if Mean Jack is here and wants to play, well then, he gets the opening match of the night. 

Music hits and out comes Angry Jack Lawson and Mean Jack Mason.  The two are booed as they make their way down to the ring.  Behind them on the Omegatron, it shows the beatdown they delivered to Superquake Ferguson at last year’s end of year PPV.  The duo turn and watch as they put Superquake through a table and they laugh.  Mean Jack makes his way around the ring stealing signs from all the fans sitting at ringside and proceeds to tear them up.  He laughs when he sees the sad faces of those fans whose signs he destroyed.  The fans pop when they see who their opponents are and it’s none other than the Mexicali Flyers.  Tornado en Fuego and El Dragon Insano make their way out and the pop is so loud that the Jacks cover their ears.  The Flyers don’t make it to the ring as Angry Jack and Mean Jack attack them before they can enter the ring.  Once the bell rang, the Jacks then double teamed the flyers continuing the beatdown.  El Dragon tried to hit Mean Jack with a chair but he hit the chair with his fist and the chair hit El Dragon in the face.  The chair was disposed of and Mean Jack planted El Dragon with a powerbomb before tagging out to Angry Jack.  The Angry one came in and nailed El Dragon with a chokeslam in the middle of the ring.  Mean Jack ran over and took out Tornado en Fuego.  Angry Jack made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Lawson and Mason get the win much to the chagrin of the fans.  (5 min). 

We head backstage and are introduced to another new member to our roster Anthony ‘Static’ Boom.  Anthony talks about how he’s happy to be on the HCW roster.  He’s looking forward to competing against the best of the best in the world.

We head to the ring for our next match.  First, Leslie Grimes makes her way down to the ring to a small pop from the crowd.  Next, her opponent Betsy Cummings makes her way out with her twin sister Felicia.  Felicia accompanies her sister down to the ring but the ref is quick to send her to the back.  Betsy immediately went on the offensive and beat Leslie down.  After getting tossed out of the ring, Betsy rolled under the ring and came back out almost immediately.  Hang on a sec, I think there was a switcheroo.  The ref did not seem to notice so “Betsy” continued the offense until getting tossed out of the ring again.  She rolled back under the ring and then came back out again almost immediately.  Betsy got back into the ring and hit Leslie with a leaping snapmare.  Betsy quickly rolled Leslie up and was able to secure the win with a minute left in the match.  Betsy got her arm raised in victory and she laughed all the way to the back.  (19 min)

Wilber Townsend is backstage and has a message for his opponent tonight.  “Sometimes I wish that I could feel pain. But I am different. And we should all embrace our differences, right kids? I am the Truth.  For instance, if I lost my way, then why can't I stop smiling? And why do I feel so good? Because I saw it in the eyes. For the first time I realized that you are not hollow in there. It's right here, it's right here, it's inside of you. And it's something that I know all too well because when I look inside myself, I see the good, I see the bad, I see everything. I see dreams you haven't dreamed, and worlds you haven't discovered. I see miracles. My mind is endless, and I am free. Magnum Kone…fear the buzzards.”

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, Otto Ruthless makes his way out and the fans boo him.  He yells at the fans and flips them off.  He gets in the ring and continues to berate them when the music changes and out comes Anthony ‘Static’ Boom.  He comes out to the stage and yells “Boom, Boom, Boom” and the pyro goes off and the fans pop for him.  He makes his way to the ring and high fives the fans on his way down.  He gets right into the ring and Otto ruthlessly attacks him.  It doesn’t take long for Static to take control of the match and take the fight back to Otto.  6 min in, Anthony locked in a figure four leglock but Otto made it to the ropes to break the hold.  Anthony kept the pressure on and the match began approaching the time limit.  Otto threw Boom into the corner and then charged but Anthony moved and Otto rammed his knee into the corner.  Boom then locked in the figure four again and this time Otto tapped out.  Static Boom gets the win and the fans pop for him.  He leaves the ring celebrating with the fans.  He makes his way to the back, turns to acknowledge the fans one last time and then goes behind the curtain. (17 min)

Backstage, Leiton Snake enters GM Master Bull’s office.  He says that he had one of the best win/loss records for all of 2018 but where did it get him…nowhere.  He tells Master Bull he’s challenging Bob Keg for his spot in the World title top 10.  Bull looks up and tells him “You do what you gotta do” and Leiton smiles and makes his way out.  Bull shakes his head.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, the lights go dim and some creepy music plays and out walks Wilber Townsend carrying a lantern.  He makes his way down to the ring throwing creepy looks at the fans.  He gets back in and hangs the lantern on the corner.  The lights come up.  The music changes and we hear the familiar ring of a bell which signals the King of Cones is here.  Magnum Kone comes out to a pop from the crowd and does his customary distribution of ice cream to the kids at ringside.  He delivers his wares and then enters the ring. After some posturing in the ring by Wilber, the match finally began.  Wilber controlled the match for the first 11 minutes but then after Magnum got a near fall after hitting the Ice Cream Sandwich, he took over the match and controlled the pace for the remainder of the match.  Just as the match entered the final minute, Magnum hits the firecracker but then Wilber ran Magnum into the corner post.  He dragged Magnum back into the ring, went for the pin but only got a 1 count before the bell rang.  This one ends in a draw.  Magnum began to leave the ring but Wilber attacked him and hit him with the GTS.  He left Magnum laying in the ring and walked away cackling.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, we meet up with King Rad Gumbo.  Rad is accompanied by Queen Alexandria.  Gumbo states that Wildfire got lucky in his match but he’ll let him have his fun in the sun because as soon as he demands his rematch, that belt is coming back with him.

Back in the ring, we are getting ready for the challenge.  First, Leiton Snake comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Shortly thereafter, Bob ‘Powder’ Keg makes his way out to more uncertainty from the fans.  It didn’t take long for Leiton to totally dominate Bob and after 13 minutes, he hurled Bob into the corner and he crashed hard and then fell back into the ring.  Leiton made the cover and got the easy 1-2-3.   Leiton moves into the World Title top 10 and Bob drops down into the TV title lineup.  (13 min)  The fans were not into the match at all.

Backstage, the 6 Man Tag champs the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman are being interviewed and they are interrupted by Tommy Lightning.  Tommy asks Biceps once again to step aside and let him take his rightful place as champion but Biceps once again tells him no.  Tommy storms off.

It’s time for our main event.  First, the Muscles Trio comes out and is dressed to the hilt in their rainbow colors and wearing their rainbow colored bull horns.  They give out samples of Booty O’s cereal to the fans in an effort to get them on their side.  The crowd is mixed.  Once in the ring, the music changes and out comes the 6 Man Tag Team Champions the Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman.  The fans pop huge for them and they high five the fans as they make their way down to the ring.  The champs controlled the majority of the match with the challengers getting a few good shots in with double and triple teaming.  The longer the match went, the more the champs kept control.  As we approached the time limit, Tommy Lightning came out.  He began jaw jacking with Biceps and then threw a chair at him.  Biceps got pissed and chased Tommy to the back.  Buzz had just tagged Starbuck in as the final minute of the match was taking place.  Muscles Weasley hit a flying headscissors but Starbuck hit him with a Starplex (slingshot suplex).  The bell then rang before he could make a pin attempt.  The match is called a draw and the champs retain their titles.  Buzz and Starbuck took their belts back from the ref and took Biceps’ also and began the trip to the back to find out where their partner went.  The Muscles Trio tried again to get the fans on their side but they weren’t going for it.  The Trio then left.

As the show comes to an end, we cut back to Master Bull’s office.  Bull says he’s talked to GM Max McGillicutty and because there was no clear cut winner between Hayley Hailstone and Violet Valkyrie for the #1 spot, he is going to give Ruby’s first title defense to Vanilla Zombie.   Bull then says that Violet and Hayley will team up to take on Kimberly Kiccsass and Ravishing Raquel.  The show then comes to an end.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #737 – Tacoma Thunder (01/06)

Hello fans and welcome back to our first Tacoma Thunder show of 2019.  GM Max McGillicutty makes his way out to thank the fans in attendance for being here tonight as well as supporting HCW in all of 2018.  Max promises that 2019 will bring new feuds, storylines and exciting times for the roster and the fans.  He says he’s not going to waste time talking their ears off…it’s time for some action.

Max leaves and pyro goes off to kick off our show.  A vignette plays of the Wicked Prophet training.  The song “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor plays in the background as WP is shown boxing meat in a freezer; flipping tractor tires and towing a car behind him as he drags it down the road.  The segment ends with “The Wicked Prophet is live…tonight”.

Our first match of the night begins with the Smashers making their way down to the ring for the first time without their former manager MJ (who had been relieved of his duties the end of last year).  They are booed pretty heavily.  Next, the team of Superquake Ferguson and Maximillian Redbeard come out to a decent pop from the crowd.  They get in the ring and the Smashers immediately attack them.  After a moment of sizing up their opponents, the Smashers turned up the heat on Superquake and Maximillian.  Both teams made fairly consistent tags trying to keep the fresh man in the ring.  14 minutes in, Superquake and Maximillian took back control of the match and double teamed their opponents.  At the 18 minute mark, Redbeard hits a knoggin stomp on Smasher #2.  Superquake hits Smasher #1 with a big foot to the face that sent him tumbling out of the ring.  Redbeard made the cover and got the easy 1-2-3.  Superquake and Maximillian get their arms raised by the ref in victory.  The duo celebrated briefly before leaving.  (18 min)

A video airs stating “Protocide returns”.  The guy looks physically different.  The time off seems to have changed him up a bit (he’s not a muscular as he was).

Our next match is ready to go.  Bishop Ripley makes his way out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Once in the ring, the music changes and we hear the song “Tornado of Souls” by Megadeth (need to look into whether or not he got permission from them to use it.  We don’t want a lawsuit on our hands).  The fans pop as the Wicked Prophet makes his way out to the ring.  He smiles and high fives the fans as he makes his way to the ring for his first ever wrestling match. The pressure is on.  The Prophet makes his way into the ring and climbs one of the corner turnbuckles as the fans pop.  Bishop yells at him to get the match started.

The Wicked Prophet wins with a THE CRUCIFIX CLUTCH over Bishop Ripley!!!

The fans pop as the Prophet gets his first win and he climbs the turnbuckle again to soak in the adulation from the fans.  All of a sudden, Jacques Beannot runs out and attacks the Prophet.  He beats him down before dropping him with a jaw jacker.  Jacques gets on the mic running WP down.  He drops the mic and then goes over and locks the Prophet in the Spreadsheet.  The Wicked Prophet is tapping out but this is not a match.  Finally, Jacques relents and then leaves smirking. 

Backstage, in the interview area, the new Hardcore Champion Apollo Gyze is talking smack but he is quickly interrupted by Hardcore Hensen.  Hensen, towering over Apollo, challenges him to a rematch.  Apollo doesn’t back down and says that as soon as the championship committee signs off on it, it will happen.  Hardcore says that after he wins his title back, Apollo will be apologizing for messing in his business.  Hensen walks away and then we see one bead of sweat trickle down the side of Apollo’s face.

Our next match begins with another newcomer to HCW.  Making his debut is Shawn ‘Abs of Stone’ Austin.  He struts down to the ring like he’s the sh*t.  He gets in the ring and the fans know a phony when they see one and they boo the crap out of him.  He flips them off before going back to posing.  The music changes and out comes Billy Robbins.  The fans cheer Billy just to piss off Shawn who by now is pacing in the ring like a caged tiger.  As soon as Billy hits the ring, Shawn attacks him.  The sneak attack did little to dissuade Billy as he began to control the match like a professional.  At the 6 minute mark, Billy hit a missile dropkick and just as he was going to go for the pin, Shawn locked in a sleeper hold.  Shawn had Billy trapped in the middle of the ring and had no choice but to tap out.  Shawn Austin gets his first win and the fans let him have it.  He flips them off a few more times before leaving.  (6 min)

Backstage, both Hayley Hailstone and Violet Valkyrie are being interviewed.  They both give the other high praise and regardless of the outcome, one of them will be getting a title shot.  Just then, the Ladies Champion Ruby Rose walks in and says “No shenanigans” and then walks away.  Hayley and Violet look after her with quizzical looks on their faces.

Our #1 contender’s match for the Ladies title is up next.  First, Hayley Hailstone comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.  Next, Violet Valkyrie makes her way out and receives the same welcome from the fans.  Before the match could begin, the Ladies Champion Ruby Rose comes out (also getting a warm welcome) and she goes to sit at commentary so she can scout the match.  Violet took control early and held it throughout the match.  Hayley was able to hit a couple of moves to allow her to go for a pin but Violet was able to always kick out.  Just as the time limit was getting ready to expire, Hayley connected with a roundhouse kick but before she could make the pin, the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish.  Both women were a bit frustrated but ended up shaking hands.  Just then, former Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel hit the ring accompanied by Kimberly Kiccsass and the two began to beat down Hayley and Violet.  Ruby then hit the ring accompanied by a steel chair and ended up chasing both Raquel and Kimberly from the ring.  Ruby dropped the chair and raised the arms of her friends.  She told them both “Maybe next time” as she glared at Raquel and Kimberly.  (20 min draw)

Backstage, Jacques Beannot is with his manager ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher and he goes into his reasoning for attacking the Wicked Prophet.  “You ask me why I beat him down?  Let me tell you something…he has no business being in the ring.  He is about as worthless as a wrestler as he was as an announcer and just as incompetent as he was as a referee.  He cost me my title and I WILL get it back but just as soon as beat the snot out of him.”  Preacher then chimed in saying that Beannot and Hensen are not through with the Tag Team Champs and they WILL get their rematch sooner rather than later.  The duo then walked off.

Scooter J, one half of the World Tag Team Champions is also backstage being interviewed.  He says that tonight, he gets 1:1 action against the TV Champion for the belt.  Scooter J says that the Tag Titles are his priority for the moment but it would be nice to have a second belt over his shoulder.

Our next match is a challenge for a spot in the World title line up.  Challenging for this spot is ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild.  He comes out first and is booed.  Next, the man defending his spot comes out and it’s none other than Nix Anderson.  Anderson’s reaction is mixed but he’s a no-nonsense kind of guy so it doesn’t seem to bother him that much.  He gets in the ring and the bell rings. The match was practically even all the way through.  What was truly amazing was the fact that neither man went for a pin or submission for the entire match!  The two just slugged it out.  As the clock was getting ready to hit the time limit, Nix began laying into Reid with some chops to the chest (WOOOOOO).  Reid knocked him down and hit the Rothchild (Hogan) leg drop.  Before he could go for a pin, Drew the Canadian Love Machine’s music hits and Reid stands up looking around for him.  Drew is not there as he is still recovering from Reid’s attack last month.  The bell then rang bringing this one to a draw finish.  Nix retains his spot and leaves.  Reid throws a tantrum but then follows shortly thereafter.  (20 min draw)

We go backstage one more time and this time we are with the TV Champion Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister.  Davis says that the previous match between Nix and Reid was pretty brutal but it goes to show that wrestlers will go through lengths to keep what is theirs.  Tonight, he has Scooter J, one half of the Tag Team Champs.  He is not taking anything away from him but Davis has become accustomed to this title and isn’t ready to let it go just yet so he tells Scooter J that if he really wants it, he needs to bring his A-game.  Davis then heads to the ring.

It’s time for our main event.  First, the challenger Scooter J comes out and gets a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, the music changes and the fans practically explode as Davis makes his way out.  He shakes hands with the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.  He gets in, climbs the turnbuckle holding his title high and the fans pop even louder.  Davis does some stretching and the match begins.  Two minutes in, Davis hits a piledriver and tries for a pin but SJ kicks out.  A few minutes later, Davis connects with a second piledriver and goes for the cover but SJ gets his foot on the bottom rope at the 1 count.  Scooter J begins to battle back connecting with a superkick.  He goes for the pin but he only gets a 1 count.  After a bit more back and forth, SJ hits a piledriver of his own.  He picks Davis up who hits a clothesline out of nowhere.  Davis makes the cover hooking the leg and gets the 1-2-3.  Davis Hoffmeister wins the match and retains his title.  The fans explode in approval.  Davis helps SJ to his feet and the two shake hands.  SJ leaves so that Drew can soak in the adulation from the fans. 

The show comes to an end with Drew holding the TV title high and climbing each of the corner turnbuckles.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2019 #736 – Welcome to 2019 (Year 14)

Hello fans and welcome to the first 2019 installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  Today marks the 14^th year the Wrestling Newsletter has been published.  We will also recap what transpired at the PPV last year and then address changes, additions and subtractions from the HCW roster. 

First is a major change to our posting of the shows. The weekly shows will still be posted on the blog page (https://hwfcswafantasy.blogspot.com) either the evening or the next day after the show has taken place however, email updates will only go out once a week (typically after the Phoenix Heat show is completed). This will hopefully reduce the number of emails that go out but the content will be double the size due to representing two (or more) shows.

Recap from the PPV.

Apollo Gyze defeated Hardcore Hensen to become the new Hardcore Champion.  Apollo says he will not apologize for hurting anyone who tries to take his title.

Leon Teremoto defeated Jacques Beannot (the Wicked Prophet was the special guest referee) to become (and return the name of) the US Champion. 

Ruby Rose defeated Ravishing Raquel to become the new Ladies champion.  Ruby says she will defend her title against all comers.  Once she made her way backstage after her win, Ruby was approached by Violet Valkyrie and Hayley Hailstone.  They too inquired about future title shots.  Ruby responded with “Sure, why not”.

Because of injuries sustained at the PPV, Drew the Canadian Love Machine will be out of action for some time.  Drew taped a pre-recorded message from the hospital where he threw out a challenge to Reid to put his career on the line against him at the PPV (provided he’s healed and passes medical clearance).  We expect Reid to respond soon. 

Texas Wildfire defeated King Rad Gumbo to become the new World Champion.  Wildfire promised to defend the title with honor.

Scooter J and TNT defeated Jacques Beannot and Hardcore Hensen in the tag team finals to win the vacated Tag Team Titles.  Manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher already began to complain that his posse got screwed and demands that they get the first shot at the tag belts.

The Steel Curtain and Biceps Bannerman once again became the 6 man Tag Team Champions.  After his extended rest, Tommy Lightning has been cleared to return to in-ring action.  Tommy had a conversation with Biceps about stepping aside and letting him take his rightful spot with the Steel Curtain.  Biceps said that the Curtain chose him and together they won the titles.  He cannot step aside.  Tommy was not happy.

Davis Hoffmeister defeated Nix Anderson to retain the TV title.  The fans really love this guy.

The feud between Violet Valkyrie and Vanilla Zombie is over.  After the brutal steel cage match, Violet walked out the winner, bloody, but the winner.

Going Out

The Unknown Assassin and his manager ‘the Honorable’ JC Dykes are gone.  Dykes tried to look for a loophole in the contract but could not find one. 

Manager Ant Graham’s (representing Dr. Red Fang) contract was not renewed.  Graham questioned the evil vampire bot as to why this happened but Fang walked away cackling. 

Manager MJ, after speaking with the Smashers, also decided to call it quits after an irreconcilable difference with his team.  The Smashers have not been at the top for some time and they blamed MJ for this.
