HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #732 – Phoenix Heat

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  Tonight, we have our other semifinals match with Scooter J and TNT taking on Ovaltine Jackson and Ghee Buttersnaps.  The winner of this match goes to the PPV to fight the team of Hardcore Hensen and Jacques Beannot with the winner becoming the new Champions.

The show begins back in GM Master Bull’s office.  In there with him are the Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel).  Max says that after the doctor’s evaluation, tt is determined that Tommy Lightning is not going to be healed enough from his injuries so he will not be able to team up with the Steel Curtain for the 6 man titles.  Master Bull says that had there been more time, he would allow the Curtain to re-qualify but since that won’t happen, he will allow them to choose a partner.  Buzz says he knows who he wants and whispers it to Starbuck but Starbuck shakes his head and whispers back.  Buzz shakes his head no.  It seems that the brothers are having an issue determining who their partner will be.  Bull tells them they have up until their match to reveal who it will be.

Pyro goes off and our show is ready to go.  Otto Ruthless comes out first and the fans boo as he makes his way down to the ring.  Next, the music changes and out comes Leon Teremoto.  The fans pop for him as he makes his way down to the ring.  Otto attacks him ruthlessly but Leon is able to keep him at bay.  The match was pretty even throughout with both men getting near falls after hitting their specialty moves.  At the 13 minute mark, Leon catches Otto with a sitout sideslam and hooks the leg for the 1-2-3.  Leon gets the win and the fans pop for him.  It’s cut short when ITF Champion Jacques Beannot runs out and attacks Leon beating him down before locking in the Spreadsheet.  After a few moments, Jacques releases the hold and laughs and walks away.  Leon is helped up and to the back. 

We go backstage and we’re with roving reporter Larry Morton (the Wicked Prophet couldn’t be here as he is already on Colorado preparing for his debut as a referee) and Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  Drew says that Reid is a coward and hides in the shadows.  Drew says that he will be the light in the darkness and he will reveal Reid’s true colors and asks again for Reid to accept his challenge for the PPV.  Drew walks away.

We head to the ring for our next match.  First, blaring over the loudspeakers comes “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYBODY” and out comes the vampire bot we love to hate Dr. Red Fang.  Fang is accompanied by his manager Ant Graham and the duo are booed as they head down to the ring.  Fang is snarling and growling all the way.  Once in the ring, the music changes and out comes the TV champion Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister.  The fans pop huge for him.  The TV title is not on the line tonight.  Davis makes his way into the ring but before the match can begin, Nix Anderson makes his way out and goes to sit at commentary.  Nix will be receiving a rematch at the PPV for the TV title.  Davis takes control of the match early on and it’s only 3 minutes in before we have our first ‘OH SHIT’ moment.  Fang set Davis on the top rope and he was trying for something but Davis managed to block it and then bodyslammed Fang from the top rope all the way down to the floor.  The fans popped crazy for that.  There was some delay before Davis was able to go out and drag Fang back into the ring.  When he finally got him back in, he went for a pin but Ant got Fang’s foot on the bottom rope after a 1 count.   Fang gets up and executes an airplane spin but Davis drops him with a piledriver.  He goes for the pin again only to put Fang’s foot on the bottom rope again.  7 minutes in, Ant tries to intimidate the referee but Davis coldcocks him.  Davis then locks Fang up with the Hollywood Clutch (camel clutch) and after stretching Fang a bit, he releases the hold and goes for a pin securing the 3 count.  Davis Hoffmeister gets the win.  Davis goes to leave but Nix is there and the two have a staredown before Nix leaves followed by Davis.  In the ring, Fang struggles to get to his feet but then the Unknown Assassin slides in and attacks Fang pummeling him with English forearm strikes.  The Unknown Assassin leaves Dr. Red Fang a bloody mess and the fans boo him.  Graham eventually makes it to his feet and helps the Dr to the back.

The Steel Curtain (Buzz and Starbuck Steel) are backstage with Larry Morton.  Larry asks if they have decided on a partner to replace Tommy.  Buzz says he has an idea but Starbuck’s is equally as good and they’ve tried multiple ways to decide a winner – a Jenga game, Rock, Paper, Scissors, and even Connect Four but they always reach an impasse.   Starbuck says Master Bull has given them until their match to find a partner so the search continues.

Our next match is ready to go.  First, Bob ‘Powder’ Keg comes out to booing from the fans.  Once in the ring the music changes and out comes Drew the Canadian Love Machine.  The crowd goes absolutely bonkers.  They totlally love this guy.  He heads to the ring high-fiving the fans and shaking hands before sliding into the ring.  Bob attacks him before the bell with a punt to the head which disoriented Drew quite a bit.  Bob took advantage and surprisingly owned the match.  Drew finally was able to shake off the cobwebs but then was tossed out of the ring by Powder Keg.  Drew began walking trying to clear his head when he is attacked by Reid Rothchild wielding a chair.  Reid smashes him a few times and then rolls him back in to the ring.  He climbs over the barrier and pushes a fan out of their chair and sits down.  Bob picks up Drew and drops him with a DDT.  He makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Bob gets a rare win due to the interference of The Elitist.  Bob leaves and Reid hops the barrier again and grabs a mic and gets into the ring.  “Yes, I accept the challenge.”  He drops the mic, picks up Drew and then hits the Reid Bottom (Rock Bottom).  He then hits the Rothchild leg drop.  He laughs as he leaves the ring. Drew is helped to the back by some stagehands.  (8 min)

Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel is backstage conducting an interview when she is interrupted by Kimberly Kiccsass.  Kimberly says she doesn’t want to wait for the PPV and wants a match tonight.  Raquel says no.  Kimberly starts to insult her.  Raquels relents but says the title won’t be on the line.  “That’s fine” Kimberly says.  “I can beat the crap out of you tonight and then again in a few short days.  That title will be mine; mark my words.”  Kimberly then walked off.

We go back to the ring for some tag team action.  First, Tobias and Leiton Snake come out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, the Steel Curtain comes out and the fans pop huge for them.  They get in the ring and the match begins almost immediately.  The Steel Curtain proved their dominance by totally owning the Snake Pit (201 to 95).   The Snakes never got an opportunity for a pin and Buzz and Starbuck shared equal time in the ring.  Starbuck almost got a near fall on Leiton but Tobias had made the save.  Keeping themselves fresh, the Curtain continued to dominate and it looked like it was going to end after Starbuck hit the Shooting Star Buck but he made the tag to Buzz who came in and hit Tobias with a German suplex.  He made the cover and that was all she wrote.  The Steel Curtain get the win in dominating fashion.  (21 min).  Just as they were leaving, the 6 Man Tag Team Champions the 5^th Column came out and began brawling with the Curtain.  We kept watching for someone to come out to their aid but no one ever did.  The numbers proved to be too much and the Column beat them down until officials came running from the back to break things up.  The Steel Curtain were thrown into the ring by the Column and try as they might, the officials could not stop them.  Just then music hit and out comes…and the lights went off.  HEY, DOESN’T ANYONE PAY THE ELECTRIC BILL AROUND HERE???  The lights came on about a minute later and the 5^th Column were totally laid out.  Buzz and Starbuck were dumbstruck.  They had no idea who came to their rescue…or do they?  I guess we’ll have to find out at the PPV.  (21 min)

Backstage, Larry Morton introduces Angry Jack Lawson.  Jack says that Ferguson was a sorry excuse for a partner and he placed a call and he will actually have someone who will watch his back.  Larry asked who this person was and Jack got really angry telling him it’s none of his business and he will find out when the rest of the sheep do.  He walked off.

Our next match is the last of the semi-finals for the tag team tournament.  Tonight, one of these two teams will go on to meet Hensen and Beannot with the winner emerging as the World Tag Team Champions.  First, Ovaltine Jackson and Ghee Buttersnaps come out and the fans pop for them.  They make their way to the ring and get the crowd psyched.  Next, Scooter J and TNT come out to a much louder pop from the crowd.  TNT high fives with the fans as Scooter J rushes the ring, climbs the turnbuckle and does his part to get the crowd excited.  After TNT arrived and he did his part, the bell rang.  Ovaltine and Ghee controlled the match for the first 12 minutes of the match going for pin attempts where they could but their opponents were aware enough to save the other.  At the 13 minute mark, TNT and Scooter J double teamed Ghee and feeding off the energy from the crowd, it got them pumped up.  Scooter J stays in and eye rakes Ghee before trying for a quick rollup and pin but only getting a 2 count.  Scooter J smashed Ghee’s head into the turnbuckle before tagging TNT in.  TNT came in only to be back body dropped but as Ghee tried for a tag out, TNT stopped him and hit the Townsend Driver.  He went for the pin and got the 3 count.  TNT and Scooter J get the win and will now go on to the PPV to challenge for the World Tag Team titles.  (15 min)

With the Superquake/Angry Jack and Drew/Reid matches being added to the PPV, we are now at 7 matches for each day.  This is really shaping up to be a great show.

It’s time for our main event in this non-title matchup.  First, Kimberly Kiccsass comes out and the fans boo the crap out of her.  She sneers at them and then enters the ring.  The music changes and out comes the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel.  The fans still pop for her.  She makes her way down and into the ring and the first thing she does is holds the Ladies title right in Kimberly’s face.  She then climbs the turnbuckles to louder and louder pops from the fans.  Just before the match could begin, new music played and out comes Ruby Rose – the lady who will be part of the triple threat match for the Ladies Championship.  She goes to sit at commentary and puts the headset on.  She waves at the Ladies in the ring and that seems to perturb them.  It did not, however, take away from the match.  These two put on a hell of a show and their story kept the fans engaged throughout the match.  They were practically even through the entirety of the match and it wasn’t until the 24^th minute when Raquel caught Kimberly unaware with a cross bodyblock that she was able to secure the 1-2-3. Raquel gets the win and, no offense to her challenger, looks strong enough to pull it off.  Ruby Rose leaves commentary and gets in the ring to have a few words with Raquel.  A quiet conversation leads to heated words followed by some pushing and shoving.  Just before the two of them could get into it, Kimberly hits the ring with a chair and takes out both of her PPV competitors.  She stands over her fallen opponents, grabs the Ladies title and holds it high as the show comes to a close.

After the cameras stopped rolling, GM Master Bull came out and said that the Ladies title match will follow the cage match between Violet Valkyrie and Vanilla Zombie.  He says it’s not worth dismantling the cage so the Ladies match will now be in the confines of the Steel Cage.  The fans pop.  Bull waves and leaves.

The World title match will take place before the final match as it will be a HELL IN A CELL and those aren’t exactly easy to take down in a quick fashion.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #731 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello fans and welcome back to the HCW Wrestling Newsletter.  Well, we are in the home stretch leading up to our PPV this weekend.  The show in Denver is officially sold out and the fanfest in Colorado Springs had to be moved to a new location to accommodate the extra fans (and there were a lot) who wanted to attend.  That event too is also sold out.  GM Max McGillicutty says that he will have an announcement he will make later in the show in regards to fanfest.  To handle the amount of wrestling taking place this week, we will have a total of 5 updates:  One for tonight’s Tacoma show, tomorrow’s Phoenix show, the fanfest and then our two day PPV on Saturday and Sunday.  After that, we will be on our winter’s hiatus giving the staff and roster time off to heal.

In other news, HCW is holding an ongoing “open tryout” for new talent to try and give wrestling in HCW a shot.  We had a decent turnout with a few looking pretty good.  We’ll have to see if they make the cut.

Tonight, the first bracket of the semi-finals for the World Tag team titles takes place with Hardcore Hensen and ITF Champion Jacques Beannot taking on the former champs the Mexicali Flyers.

The show starts off backstage where ‘Big Money’ Ned Rhyerson III walks in with his bags and stops at the board to see who he’s wrestling tonight.   He about loses it when he sees his name marked through and instead sees ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnston on the card.  He grabs his bag and storms off.

Pyro goes off and out show is about to get underway.  First, a local talent (I guess) comes out under the name of ‘the Soccer mom’.  She is masked and makes her way to the ring.  Next, Vanilla Zombie comes out first with her manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  The fans boo them as they head to the ring.  Once in the ring, Preacher grabs a mic and says that not only will Hardcore Hensen demolish Apollo Gyze, but the ITF Champion Jacques Beannot will easily defeat Leon Teremoto and finally, in the Steel Cage, Violet Valkyrie will get what’s coming to her - one hell of a beating from this woman – Vanilla Zombie.  Vanilla gets to unload on this masked nobody.  The bell rings with Vanilla starting off strong with her manager cheering her on.  As the match progressed, our mystery masked woman began to fight back.  Preacher became concerned and tried to get involved but the ref was able to stop him and sent him to the back.  As he was making his way up the ramp, he turned only to see ‘the Soccer Mom’ lock in a triangle choke.  He panicked and ran back to the ring but he was too late as Vanilla tapped out.  Vanilla rolled out of the ring.  ‘The Soccer Mom’ removed her mask and…holy cow…it’s Violet Valkyrie.  Violet takes the mic and says that she’s shown she can dominate and this weekend, in the Steel Cage, Vanilla will wish she never stepped foot in an HCW ring.  Preacher and Vanilla made their way to the back…outsmarted.  (19 min)

We cut backstage where the Wicked Prophet is with Ruby Rose.  Ruby says she’s thankful to still be in the title match but now understands how underhanded and deceptive some people can be.  She says that there is a reason she’s known as “short but vicious”.  She says she’s ready for Ravishing Raquel and asks if Raquel is ready for her.

Our next match begins with Bishop Ripley making his way to the ring first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, the music changes and out comes ‘Red Hot’ Lucas Johnstson.  The fans pop huge for him as he makes his way down to the ring but he is attacked from behind by ‘Big Money’ Ned Rhyerson III.  The attack is short as officials from the back came out before too much damage could be done.  Lucas makes it to the ring and the ref asks him if he wants to continue.  He does.  The bell rings and Bishop controls the match.  I think that the attack from Ned did more damage than Lucas was letting on.  To his credit, Lucas kept kicking out of pin attempts. This went on for the entire match and we entered the final minute, it was apparent that Lucas was almost out on his feet.   Bishop grabbed him and hit a german suplex.  Lucas went bouncing to the other side of the ring.  Bishop crawled over and made the dramatic cover hooking the leg.  The ref counted 1…2… and the bell rang bringing this one to a draw finish.  Lucas is one tough SOB.  Bishop left and Lucas got to his feet.  He asks for a mic and calls out Ned.  Ned comes out and begins to make his way to the ring pushing through the line of officials who rushed out to prevent Ned from doing further damage.  Ned gets into the ring and Lucas challenges him to a match at the PPV.  Ned accepts and says that his ‘spot’ tonight was the last thing Lucas will be taking from anyone.  He turned and left without further altercation.  Lucas eventually left too.

Apollo Gyze is backstage and the Wicked Prophet asks him if he’s ready for Hardcore Hensen.  Apollo laughs and says that Hensen is just as wishy-washy as that goofball Master Bull.  Apollo also makes fun that Tommy Lightning got injured at the hands of the 5^th Column saying he can’t defend himself.  Apollo adds that when he defeats Hensen to become the new Hardcore Champion, the first thing he’ll do is flaunt it in Master Bull’s face…and promises he will NOT apologize.

Our next match is ready to go.  First, MJ comes out with Smasher #2 for this rare singles match.  They are booed as they head to the ring.  Next, the music changes and out comes Superquake Ferguson.  He gets a mixed reaction from the fans.  Smasher #2 attacks him before the bell trying to get the upper hand.  Even MJ had to get involved in order to get the giant off his feet.  Smasher #2 tried for the Steel Smasher a few times but he could not get the pin.  Smasher #2 hits Ferguson with a stomp and tries to pick him up but Superquake falls right on top of him.  Superquake rolled off but before he could get to his feet, MJ ran over and eye gouged him with peanut shells.  Angry Jack came in from the crowd and while Smasher #2 distracted the ref, he hit Ferguson with a chokeslam from hell.  He then took off through the crowd.  Smasher #2 ran over and made the cover hooking the leg and getting his feet on the ropes for leverage.  This cheating move got him the 3 count.  Smasher #2 and MJ left laughing.  Superquake got to his feet and wiped the remaining peanut shells from his eyes and asked for a mic.  He said that he was challenging Angry Jack to a match at the PPV and if he had any balls on him (as opposed to strikes and walks) (the fans chuckled), he would accept.  He then left to a nice pop from the crowd. (12 min)

‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild is backstage with the Wicked Prophet and Reid comments on how everyone loves Drew the Canadian Love Machine but he is a glorified nobody.  Reid says it’s too bad he can’t be on the Phoenix roster where he would beat Drew post to post until the Canadian Love Machine was nothing more than a discarded blow up doll.

We head back to the ring as our next match is ready to get underway.  First, over the loudspeakers blares “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APLOGIZE” and out comes Apollo.  The fans boo the crap out of him but he doesn’t care.  He makes it to the ring and begins to mock the fans starting to get them into a frenzy.  The music changes and out comes Billy Robbins.  The fans pop for Billy to make Apollo mad but it doesn’t work.  Billy hits the ring and Apollo backs off.   The match begins and Billy has control for the first few minutes and then Apollo took over opening a can of whoop-ass ala Stone Cold Steve Austin.  Apollo then dominated the match.  At the 15 minute mark, it seemed that Billy was out on his feet.  Apollo hit him with a powerbomb.  He picked him up and hit a second one.  The fans booing intensified as Apollo picked him up and hit a third powerbomb.  The ref told him to end by going for the pin but Apollo refused.  The ref threatened to disqualify Apollo but it fell on deaf ears…until the ref called for the bell disqualifying Apollo and awarding the match to Billy.  Apollo was livid.  He’d been robbed of his match.  He jawjacked with the ref.  He threatened to hit him a couple of times but ended up walking out.  Billy wins via DQ.  (15 min)

The Mexicali Flyers (El Dragon Insano & Tornado en Fuego) are backstage with the Wicked Prophet and an interpreter.  The Flyers state that they had a great match against the Steel Curtain and look forward to meeting them again once they procure the Tag Team Titles again.  The Wicked Prophet tells them not to overlook the (cheating) team that is Hardcore Hensen and (the weasel) Jacques Beannot.  The Flyers state they’ve seen worse and are adequately prepared.  They then leave.  

In-ring action continues with ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild making his way out to the ring.  The fans boo him and he nonchalantly flips them off.  He gets in the ring and continues his taunts until the music changes and out comes the Axe.  The fans pop for him as he comes out and makes his way into the ring wasting no time.  Reid exits the ring as Axe comes over and glares at Reid.  Reid smirks and then takes his time getting back into the ring.  Finally he does and the match can begin.  The Axe threw Reid around like a rag doll and the fans enjoyed every minute.  12 minutes in, Reid decided he’d had enough and tried to walk out.  He didn’t get very far when Drew the Canadian Love Machine came out and the fans popped HUGE.  Reid took a few steps back and decided he didn’t want anything to do with Drew so he crawled back into the ring.  He then yelled at Drew from the ring and turned just as the Axe was charging and hit Reid with his namesake.  One ‘Axe’ and a 3 count secured a win for the big man.  Axe gets the win and the fans approve.  Axe looks to Drew and nods.  Drew responds in kind.  Drew doesn’t enter the ring but walks to commentary where he grabs a mic.  He tells Reid that if and when he wants to meet him in the ring, he’s ready.  He then asks “What about the PPV?”  Reid shakes his head no and leaves.  Drew, disappointed at the cowardice of Reid, leaves shortly thereafter. 

We cut back to the office of GM Max McGillicutty.  Max says he has some great news and for once, is happy to beat Master Bull to the punch.  Max states that at Fanfest, the fans present will be treated to an All-Roster battle royal.  This is not a separation of men and women…everyone competes in the same match.  This is the first time ever that HCW has done this and is proud to let every member of the roster have a chance to shine.

It is time for our Main Event with the winner of this match going to the finals at the PPV to fight for the World Tag Team titles.  First, ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher comes out and introduces the Hardcore Champion Hardcore Hensen and the International French Title champion Jacques Beannot.  Preacher promises that his team is going to go all…the…way.  The trio head to the ring as the fans boo them.  Once in the ring, they taunt the fans until the music changes and out comes the Mexicali Flyers.  The fans pop as the Flyers make their way down to the ring and after some zipping around the ring, they entered the ring.  The match begins with all four men in the ring duking it out.  As the Flyers were told to send someone to the outside, Jacques hit Tornado en Fuego from behind knocking him out of the ring.  Preacher’s duo then went to town double teaming El Dragon for about 5 minutes.  El Dragon ends up hitting Jacques with a dropkick and Dragon made the hot tag to Tornado who came in…like a tornado but Hensen attacked him too and the double teaming continued.  At the 9 minute mark, El Dragon had enough and jumped in the ring helping Tornado en Fuego double team Hardcore Hensen.  Hensen throws Tornado out of the ring while Jacques ties El Dragon up in the ropes.  The dastardly duo then got out of the ring and double chokeslammed Tornado through the Spanish announce table.  Hensen rolled back in the ring and watched as the ref counted to 10.  Upon reaching the 10 count and it was apparent that Tornado wasn’t getting back up in time, he called for the bell awarding the match to Hardcore Hensen and Jacques Beannot via countout.  Matt Preacher joined them in the ring and held up both their arms yelling “I told you so” as the show comes to an end.

Tomorrow is the Phoenix Heat show and then we head to Colorado Springs for our Fanfest.  Be sure to stay tuned.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #730 – Phoenix Heat

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  Even though winter is approaching, things are heating up in HCW and are nearing a boiling point.  Our PPV week begins on Sunday with a show in Tacoma followed by one last one in Phoenix on Monday.  After that, we pack up and head to the Mile High City where Denver, CO will host not only the fanfest (Colorado Springs) but also the 2 day PPV Zero Hour.  Our show in Denver is almost sold out so get your tickets now.

Before the show begins, HCW acknowledges the real life passing of legends The Dynamite Kid (from the British Bulldogs) and Larry ‘The Axe’ Hennig.  The bell rings 10 times in solemn respect for them.

Pyro goes off and out comes GM Master Bull to a pop from the crowd.  He thanks the fans for attending and says that he’s super excited for the PPV only days away.  He’s getting the fans pumped up until the loudspeakers spit out “APOLLO GYZE DON’T APOLOGIZE”.  Master Bull is pissed and looks around.  A skirmish in the crowd sees Apollo making his way down towards his ringside seat.  Bull makes a beeline for him.  Just as Apollo was getting to his seat, Bull hops the ringside barrier and tells Apollo that he doesn’t care that he bought (scalped probably) a ticket; he doesn’t want him here.  Bull gets loud enough for the microphones to pick up what he’s saying “I’m sick of your shit.  Nobody wants you here.”  Apollo flashes his ticket in Bull’s face. “I don’t think your opinion matters.”  Apollo takes a swing at Bull who easily moves out of the way.  Bull is furious and calls for security to escort Apollo out of the arena.  Local police come over and politely escort Apollo away.  Apollo surprisingly leaves with no further instigation except for his bellowing laughter as he leaves.  I think he did what he wanted; he upset the apple cart.  Bull shakes off his anger and calls for the event to begin.   He makes his way backstage.

Our show kicks off with manager ‘the Honorable’ JC Dykes and the Unknown Assassin making their way out to the ring.  The fans boo but the duo consider themselves like Teflon and don’t let it stick.   A bell rings and out comes ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone.  He begins to hand out ice cream.  Dykes gets on the mic and begins to belittle Magnum.  Magnum lets it go until Dykes insults a little kid at ringside who unfortunately dropped his ice cream.  Magnum got him a new one but by this time, tempers were flaring.  Magnum began dominating the match and Dykes decided he wasn’t having any of it.  He got up on the apron and threw a fireball at Magnum.  Fortunately, Magnum stopped short of being blinded the flash but unfortunately for the Assassin, he was disqualified for his manager’s actions.  Dr. Red Fang then ran out and attacked the Unknown Assassin and the two brawled all the way to the back.  While that was going on, the Banker snuck in from the crowd, grabbed a chair, snuck in the ring and hit Magnum in the back with it.  Mangum no-sold it.  He turned around and the Banker bailed.  Magnum says he’s had enough of the Banker and challenges him to a match at the PPV.  The Banker surprisingly agreed.  It looks like our PPV is shaping up nicely.  (7 min)

Wilber Townsend is backstage and says that his loss to Texas Wildfire was a fluke and TW will wish he never crossed paths with the maniacal Wilber.

Our next match is ready to go. First, one member from the 6 Man tag team champs Baron von Blood comes out to booing from the fans.  The boos are short lived as the fans pop as Drew the Canadian Love Machine makes his way out.  Drew interacts with the fans as he makes his way down to the ring.  He even stops to give the kid who dropped his ice cream a high 5.  What a nice guy.  He gets in the ring but the Baron is an impatient man and he attacks Drew.  Drew dominates the match and easily takes control.  The Baron proved to be a challenge as Drew could not keep him down for the 3 count.  Before we knew it, the match was nearing the 20 min time limit.  Drew just took the Baron down with a handstand headscissors but then on the Omegatron, we see and hear from ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild.  Reid begins to mock Drew for his easy loss to him.  Drew, distracted, turned from the match.  The Baron began arguing with the ref.  Reid then appeared in the crowd, grabbed a chair and blasted Drew in the head with it knocking him out.  Reid immediately took off.  The Baron ran over and applied the Brain Klaw.  The ref lifted Drew’s arm 3 times and watched it fall the same.  The ref then awarded the match via submission to Baron von Blood.  The fans were PISSED.  Drew has been robbed during a match twice now.  This is not going to sit well.  Drew recovered, figured out what happened and then left just a tad upset.  (20 min)

Back in his office, Master Bull confronts the Banker.  Bull confirms the match for the PPV and tells the Banker that since he wanted to be involved in tonight’s event, he will get a match against Leon Teremoto.  The Banker scoffs and walks out.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  Missy Chick makes her way out first to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  The music changes and out comes Tacoma’s very own Hayley Hailstone.  The fans pop as the hugger herself makes her way down to the ring.  Once she gets in the ring, the match begins almost immediately with Hayley controlling the first few minutes of the match but then after that, Missy evened things up.  The match went for 14 minutes and finally came to an end after Hayley connected with the “What the Hail” and got the 3 count.  The fans popped loud for her.  She spent some time with the fans at ringside before heading to the back.  Just as she was making her way up the ramp, the British Crippler ran out and attacked her beating her down.  The Crippler threw Hayley back into the ring and then locked in the Crippler crossface and Hayley was tapping out but it did no good.  Finally, the Crippler relented and then announced that she and Hayley will have a match at the PPV whether she likes it or not.  The British Crippler then walked off.  Some extra help came from the back and helped Hayley to the back. 

Leon Teremoto is backstage and he says he’s ready for his match at the PPV against ITF champion Jacques Beannot and takes comfort that the Wicked Prophet will call the match right down the line.  Jacques’ bullying days are over.

It’s time for our next match.   Music plays and out comes Scooter J to a decent pop from the crowd.  It seems that he is slowly winning the fans back.  He barely makes it into the ring when the lights go out.  A single solitary light rocks ever so slightly on the stage.  As the lights come back up, we see an empty rocking chair with the light attached.  Scooter J turns around and is ambushed by Wilber Townsend.  Wilber begins to take his frustrations out on Scooter J before the bell even rang.  Finally, the ref got off his butt and officially started the match but now Scooter J was at a disadvantage.  Much to his credit, Scooter J may have taken a lot of beating but he persevered.  He stayed right up there until the end.  Before we knew it, we were practically at the 20 minute mark.  Wilber attempts to hit the Go to Sleep but Scooter J nullifies it just as the bell rings bringing this one to a draw finish.  Wilber was frustrated but before he could do anything else,  TNT ran down and pulled Scooter J out of the ring.  Wilber looked on as his kin helped “the enemy” (basically, anyone who is not family).  He contemplated going after the two of them but turned around when he heard something and there was Texas Wildfire and TW began unloading on Wilber before hurling him out of the ring.  The fans popped huge for TW.  Wyatt was heard saying “this ain’t over, boy” and he made his way to the back.  TW celebrated briefly with the fans before also departing.  (20 min draw)

The Muscles Trio are backstage and they comment that it’s been too long since they held the 6 man titles.  Tonight, they take on the team of the Steel Curtain and Tommy Lightning and they will use them as stepping stones to secure the belts that were practically made for them.

We head back to the ring for the next match on the card.  First, the Banker comes out with his manager Ruth Heartless.  They are booed as they make their way down to the ring.  After some hemming and hawing, the music changes and out comes Leon Teremoto.  The fans pop huge as Leon makes his way down to the ring.  He gets in the ring and thwarts the Bankers attempt to sneak attack him.  The bell ring and Ruth gets involved early giving the advantage to the Banker.  This continued for some time until Leon started to make a comeback.  While the Banker was distracting the referee, Ruth removed one of the corner turnbuckle covers exposing the brackets below.  No one seemed to notice as no action really took place in that corner.  At the 13 minute mark, Leon hurled the Banker into that corner but he did not impact the bracket.  Leon charged hitting a splash in the corner but he caught too much air and landed a little high smacking his arm on the bracket.  He cradled his arm but the Banker grabbed it and locked in the ATM fee armbar.  The Banker used the ropes for leverage until Leon had enough and had to tap out.  The Banker steals a win.   The Banker leaves and mocks Leon but his eyes go all wide when he sees Magnum Kone come charging out from the back.  The Banker and Ruth hightail it through the crowd with Magnum in hot pursuit.  Leon shakes his arm trying to get the feeling back in but he gets blindsided by the ITF Champion Jacques Beannot.  Jacques locks in the Spreadsheet and sends Leon to la-la land.  Jacques keeps the hold on until the Wicked Prophet comes out wearing his ref’s shirt.  WP says he’s an official now and demands Jacques release the hold or be relieved of his title. Jacques relinquishes the hold and goes over to jaw-jack with the Wicked Prophet.  Jacques’ manager ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher comes out and gets between the two to keep Jacques from doing something that could cost him his title.  Preacher and Jacques leave but tell the Prophet to keep his nose out of their business.  (13 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel is backstage and she comments on how her 1:1 is now a triple threat match.  She says it doesn’t really matter if it’s one on one, a triple threat or even fatal four way.  She will be the one standing tall when the smoke clears.

Our tag team tournament is finally down to the last 4 competitors.  2 more qualifying matches and we’ll have the final teams vying for those coveted titles:

Hardcore Hensen & Jacques Beannot vs the Mexicali Flyers
Scooter J & TNT vs the Ovaltine Jackson & Ghee Buttersnaps

It’s time for our main event.  The Muscle Trio (Muscles McGuire, Weasley & Thorpe) come out wearing their rainbow colored bull horns and carrying boxes of Booty-O’s cereal.  The fans give them a decent pop as they head down to the ring.  Next, the Steel Curtain and Tommy Lightning come out and the fans pop huge for them.  The winner of this match will go on to the PPV to meet the 5^th Column for the 6 man tag team championship.  Buzz, Starbuck and Tommy get in the ring and the Muscles Trio backs off giving them their due.  The match began and the Muscles Trio took the early advantage sequestering Tommy into their corner.  By the time Tommy got to make the hot tag to Starbuck, he had been beaten down for almost 10 minutes.  Starbuck, followed by Buzz, came in and cleared house.  The Steel Curtain started to take control of the match but 3 minutes of triple teaming by the Trio pushed Starbuck to his breaking point.  The Trio then concentrated on Starbuck until he was able to make the hot tag back to Tommy.  Tommy began taking the fight to the Trio and then tagged in Buzz and Starbuck for some triple teaming of their own.  While all 6 men were in the ring fighting, the 6 Man Tag Team Champions the 5^th Column came out and stood just shy of ringside.  During the melee in the ring, Tommy gets tossed out.  The ref tries to regain control.  The Column attack Tommy and then hit him with a triple spike piledriver on the floor.  Tommy is busted open and bleeding like a stuck pig.  The Trio get pushed back to their corner.  Starbuck hits the ropes and hits a moonsault from the top turnbuckle onto the 5^th Column below.  HOLY SHIT chats rang throughout the building.  Buzz, the legal man, hits Muscles Thorpe with the Buzzkill.  He makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  The team of the Steel Curtain and Tommy Lightning get the win but everyone is concerned about Tommy.  Medics rush out and put Tommy in a neckbrace and load him onto a stretcher and take him out of there.  The show comes to an end with the Steel Curtain following and the fans looking on in concern.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #729 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello fans.  Welcome back to our wrestling newsletter.  Now that Master Bull got the results of his Phoenix show posted, we can finally get to ours. 

Pyro goes off and GM Max McGillicutty makes his way out.  He says that the PPV is only two weeks away and is shaping up to be one hell of a slobberknocker.  Tonight, the tag team tournament continues.  We also will see Wilber Townsend take on Texas Wildfire to determine the true #1 contender for the World Title held by the ‘Ragin Cajun’ King Rad Gumbo.  Wilber too has a beef with the Ragin Cajun as it was he who took Wilber’s crown as King of HCW earlier this year.  He hasn’t forgotten about it.  Finally, we will see Ruby Rose defend her spot against Kimberly Kiccsass who is making a final run after the Ladies Title.  With that, it’s time to kick off the show.  

Pyro goes off once again as the fans pop but then they turn sour when 2/3s of the 6 Man Tag Team Champions the 5^th Column come out.  Karl Braun and Oswald Zimmerman are representing their team in the tag team tournament.  We are shown brief comments from them with Karl boasting that not only will they retain their titles at the PPV but they will also become the New Tag Team champions and will hold both sets of belts.  We cut back to the ring and they are taunting the fans.  The music changes and out comes Ovaltine Jackson and Ghee Buttersnaps. The fans pop for them.  This makes the Column irate.  They immediately attack Ovaltine and Ghee as they enter the ring. The attack did little for the Column as Ghee and Ovaltine battled back and took control of the match from basically 5 minutes in.  At one point, Baron von Blood tried to make his way down but the ref must have been expecting it and had security out there almost immediately to escort him (kicking and screaming) to the back.  This allowed Ghee and Ovaltine to dominate the match to the end.  Just as we were approaching the 30 minute mark, all 4 men hit the ring trying to give themselves an advantage.  Once the ref got control, Karl hits the ropes going for something but Ghee hoisted him in the air with a back body drop.  He makes the quick cover getting the 3 count with seconds to spare.  Ovaltine and Ghee get the win and advance to the semifinals.  (30 min)

The Wicked Prophet is backstage with TV Champion Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister.  Davis says that he doesn’t want to wait for Max to give him an opponent tonight so he says he chooses Apollo Gyze.  When asked “Why?” by the Prophet, Davis says, “I can take him.  It should be an easy enough night.”  Both men have a laugh.  Nix Anderson walks over and says that ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher cost him his title.  They both know that Davis would not beat him one on one so if Davis were any sort of man, he would give him his rematch at the PPV.  Davis agreed.  The two men had a brief staredown but Nix walked away.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Leslie Grimes makes her way out to a small pop from the crowd.   Once in the ring, the music changes and out comes Violet Valkyrie.  The fans pop huge as she rushes down to the ring and slides under the bottom rope.  She climbs the turnbuckle and the fans pop even louder.  She jumps down and goes to shake Leslie’s hand.  Leslie takes a step back and doesn’t shake it. The bell rings and Leslie grabs Violet by the hair and tosses her to the mat.  Violet gets up really fast and locks Leslie in a triangle choke.  Leslie is trapped in the middle of the ring and with no hope to make it to the ropes, she taps out.  Violet lets her go.  Violet gets the win in just under 60 seconds.  The fans pop as she climbs the turnbuckle once again and then heads to the back.  Leslie follows shortly thereafter. 

The Wicked Prophet is backstage with the Steel Curtain.  Buzz says that singles action is ok but they really shine as a tag team. Starbuck says they may be in limbo at the moment but after their next match, they will be back at the top.  The Prophet asks who their opponents are tonight.  Buzz says that Max gave them the ability to pick their own so they have chosen…the Mexicali Flyers.  Starbuck says their styles have some similarities so this will be an entertaining one for the fans.  The Prophet wishes them good luck as they walk off.

We head to the ring for our next match.  First, the Steel Curtain come out and the fans explode.  They make their way down to the ring and do their typical psyching the crowd up.  Next, the music changes and out comes the Mexicali Flyers – Tornado en Fuego and El Dragon Insano.  They too get a loud pop from the crowd.  The high-five the fans as they make their way into the ring.  The Steel Curtain step aside and let them do their thing.  El Dragon climbs to the top turnbuckle and then does a back flip into the ring landing on his feet.  Starbuck and Buzz applaud him.  The four men make their way to the middle of the ring and all shake hands.  The bell then rings starting this one of with Tornado en Fuego and Buzz Steel.  This was about as even as it could get.  Both men hit moves that seemed very similar and each had the ease in negating or nullifying the others moves.  Buzz and Tornado tagged their partners in and for about 5 minutes, we saw the exact same thing.  Things then changed in favor of the Flyers as tempers began to flare.  The Flyers dominated the match for the next 7 minutes until Buzz made the hot tag and began clearing house.  At one point, Buzz hit both Tornado and El Dragon with the Buzz Cut and the fans enjoyed it.  The Flyers would also hit Buzz and Starbuck with a superkick and an insane brainbuster.  Starbuck gets the tag and he gets his team one step ahead of their opponents.  The Curtain then kept the tags quick as to keep each man as fresh as possible.  When Starbuck got tagged in the final time, he catches El Dragon with the Out of this World dropkick.  He makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  The Steel Curtain are victorious and the fans give them (all of them actually) a standing ovation.  All 4 men once again met in the center of the ring and shook hands much to the fans’ delight.  The Flyers left first giving the Curtain time to soak in their win.  They left a few moments later.  (26 min)

We cut backstage where a ruckus is transpiring.  It seems that Vanilla Zombie and Violet are brawling and security had to rush over to break it up.   GM Max McGillicutty arrives on the scene and he says that he’s had enough of these two.  Max says that the match at the PPV between Vanilla and Violet will take place inside a steel cage.  Both women look like they are happy with that news.  Security ends up escorting the two ladies to separate locker rooms.

We head back to the ring for our next match.  This one will be to determine the official #1 contender to the World Title.  The lights go dim and Wilber Townsend makes his way out carrying his lantern.  He takes a slow walk towards the ring but the closer he gets, the brighter it becomes.  Once in the ring, the lights are fully back up. New music hits and out comes Texas Wildfire.  The fans pop huge for him as he makes his way down to the ring.  He gets in wasting no time.  Wilber seems to have a few choice words for him but TW backs off at the insistence of the ref.  The bell rings and this one is off to the races.  TW manages to take control early but gets himself in a predicament when Wilber tried to powerslam him from the top rope.  TW held on for dear life and once it seemed that Wilber was going to let up, TW leapt and took Wilber down with a leaping DDT.  TW made the cover and got the 3 count.  Texas Wildfire gets the win and will go on to the PPV to meet King Rad Gumbo for the World title.  The fans popped for TW as he made his way to the back.  Wilber had to be helped to the back.  (8 min)

Kimberly Kiccsass is backstage with the Wicked Prophet.  She tells him she can’t stand being in the ‘Tacoma Aroma’ and that the state of Washington has nothing on Arizona and specifically Phoenix.  The fans boo her but she doesn’t seem to care.  She says tonight, the one true #1 contender’s walks out of the ring with a title shot and the other crawls home to wait another day.  The Prophet tells Kimberly not to dismiss Ruby so quickly but she said that she has and already has her sights set on a Ladies title match.  She walks off.

It’s time for our next match.  Kimberly Kiccsass comes out first but the fans boo her.  She doesn’t care and makes her way into the ring and begins to stretch.  We cut backstage where the Wicked Prophet has caught up with Ruby Rose.  He asks Ruby if she has anything to say about Kimberly but Ruby just turns and says her actions will speak for her.  Ruby makes her way out to a pop from the crowd.  She makes her way into the ring and is all business.  As soon as the bell rings, this one is off and Ruby takes control early on and holds on to it.  Kimberly got flustered a few times when Ruby would kick out of pin attempts but would fall back into defensive mode when Ruby got going again.  18 minutes in, the ref took a bump and went down.  Ruby hit the Red Wedding Facebuster and made the cover but there was no one to make the count.  Kimberly rolled out of the ring and grabbed a chair while Ruby checked on the ref.  Kimberly then hit Ruby across the back with the chair and then dropped the chair.  She then hit the Christo right on the chair.  She quickly discarded it as the ref was coming to.  Kimberly made the dramatic crawl and covered Ruby to get the 1-2-3.  Kimberly gets the win and then all of a sudden, is back up with renewed energy celebrating her win.  It is cut short when GM Max McGillicutty comes out.  Max says that Kimberly blatantly cheated to get this spot and even though he should reverse the ref’s decision, he won’t.  What he will do however is to add Ruby to the Ladies title match and now it will be a triple threat match.  Kimberly starts to throw a tantrum but then Ruby gets to her feet and then hurls Kimberly out of the ring.   The fans pop for Ruby as she will still be in Ladies main event. (19 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

The Wicked Prophet is backstage with Apollo Gyze.  Apollo says he won’t apologize for what happened in the Elimination Chamber as that hellacious structure is “every man for himself”.  He did what he had to in order to survive.  Tonight, his luck continues as he gets a shot at the TV title.  When the Prophet asked him if he could handle two titles if he won tonight, Apollo told Prophet to shut it and just watch a master at work.  Apollo then walked off.

It’s time for our main event.   First, we hear over the loudspeakers “Apollo Gyze don’t apologize” (editor’s note:  Be sure to do that in Mr. T’s voice) and out comes everyone’s favorite coward Apollo Gyze.  The fans boo him as he makes his way down to the ring.  He threatens to slug a few kids (what a jerk) who were mocking him.  He gets in the ring and waits.  The music changes and out comes the TV Champion Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister.  The fans pop huge for Davis.  He high fives with the fans as he makes his way around the ring.  He gets in and Apollo makes like he’s going to attack Davis but then backs off.  Davis doesn’t flinch.  Apollo goes right on the offensive but the TV champ is right there with him.  4 minutes in, Apollo hits a gorilla press and drop moonsault and goes for the cover only to get a 1 count.  Apollo then follows it up with a delayed vertical suplex.  He makes the cover again but Davis kicks right out.  The match continued for a few more minutes until Nix Anderson made his way out.  He caused more of a distraction to Apollo than he did to Davis.  Apollo went to jawjack with Nix but as he turned around, Davis kicked him in the gut and then hit a piledriver.  Davis made the cover and the ref counted 1…2…3.  Davis gets the win and retains his title.  Apollo rolls out of the ring.  The ref hands Davis his title.  Nix climbs in and stands nose to nose with the champ.  Davis then holds the title in Nix’s face as the show comes to an end.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #728 – Phoenix Heat (11/28)

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  This show was taped late due to Master Bull wanting to take extra time off for the Thanksgiving holiday and not put a temp GM in place to cover things.  I guess that’s his prerogative to change up his shows unless the owners have anything to say about that.

Pyro goes off and our show begins.  Master Bull makes his way out to a pop from the crowd.  He says that his roster has enjoyed the extra time off and they totally deserve it so he hopes the crowd understands with the delay in tonight’s show.  He adds that he needs to cut the show off early tonight as he has a ton of laundry to do.  All matches tonight will have 20 minute time limits.  Bull adds in that whomever has the shortest match (allowing him to leave earlier than expected) will get a bonus.  Bull then leaves.

First out representing the Ladies division is Lavender Gooms.  She gets a nice reception from the crowd.  Next out is Kimberly Kiccsass and she is booed as she heads to the ring.  She bypasses Lavender and grabs a mic.  She calls out Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel for hiding behind her title and hiding from her.  She calls Ruby Rose unworthy of getting a title shot when someone such as her goes by unnoticed.  The bell rings cutting her off.  She throws down the mic and removes her jacket.  Lavender immediately goes on the offensive locking Kimberly up with the Lavender Lock but Kimberly makes it to the ropes.  As soon as she released the hold, Kimberly locks in a dragon sleeper and drags her to the middle of the ring.  Lavender thrashes about for a bit but ends up tapping out.  Kimberly Kiccsass gets the win in only 2 minutes.  I think that is going to be hard to beat.  Both ladies eventually leave.

Backstage, Texas Wildfire is with the Wicked Prophet and he says that he is officially challenging King Rad Gumbo to a match at the PPV cashing in his title shot.  He adds that this has been a long time in the making and he’s ready to lead HCW into its future.  Prophet wishes him luck.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, Biceps Bannerman makes his way out to a pop from the crowd.  As he is psyching the crowd up, his music is abruptly shut off and out comes the Banker with his manager Ruth Heartless.  The crowd boos them but they don’t seem to care. The Banker takes a mic before entering the ring and says that he’s going to do to Biceps (and anyone else who gets in his way) what he did to the Regulators – drive them out of Phoenix.  He laughs and enters the ring.  Even though most of the match was one-sided in favor of the Banker (and his manager), nothing he could do would keep Biceps’ shoulders on the mat for that elusive 3 count.  This one ended up going the distance.  Before the bell rang bringing the match to a draw, Biceps hit the Banker with a clothesline.  The Banker got back to his feet and hit a Deposit Diving DDT.  There was no gas left in the tank so no cover was made.  The bell rings signaling the end.  Just then, we hear the familiar bell ringing of an ice cream cart.  Out comes ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone and just as he started to make his way down to the ring, the Banker got a surge of adrenaline and he and Ruth took off through the crowd.  Magnum says that he and the Banker will be in the same ring sooner rather than later.  He then left to a pop from the crowd.

The Wicked Prophet is backstage with Bishop Ripley and tells Bishop that King Rad Gumbo was here and wants to defend his World title and Bishop was chosen.  Ripley says that he will take the fight to Gumbo and says that there will be an Alien Resurrection in the King’s future and the title will be his.  Bishop leaves.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, the Ambassador comes out accompanied by Roderick Rothchild.  The duo head to the ring.  Roderick grabs a mic and says that he always knew Reid wasn’t going to go quietly and HCW is now in a world of trouble with a “Rothchild” occupying each of the rosters.  The Ambassador says that Reid will do just fine up in Tacoma and wishes him the best.   The music changes and out comes Buzz Steel.  The fans pop huge for Buzz as he makes his way down to the ring. The bell rings pretty quickly and Roderick and Buzz go toe to toe for a solid 10 minutes until Buzz took control and started to own his opponent.  To his credit, Roderick wouldn’t stay down long enough for a pin.  Before we knew it, we were entering the final minute of the match.  Buzz hit the Buzz Cut but then was distracted by the Ambassador.  As soon as Buzz turned back into the ring, the Ambassador hit him with a chair and Buzz stumbled.  Roderick grabbed him and hit an airplane spin.  He dumped Buzz to the mat and went for a pin but put his legs on the ropes for extra leverage.  The ref counted 1-2-3.  Roderick steals a win with only seconds left to spare.  Roderick rolls out of the ring laughing.  Buzz makes it to his feet and then nonchalantly rolls out of the ring…and grabs the Ambassador.  Roderick tries to make the save but eats a foot to his face.  Buzz then drops the Ambassador with the Buzz Cut (Diamond Cutter) and the fans popped huge.  Buzz walked to the back with a smirk on his face.  He may have lost the match but won the war.  (20 min)

We head back to the interview area with the Wicked Prophet but then all of a sudden, the lights go out.  A single light shines swinging in a lantern.  Prophet turns to see Wilber Townsend sitting behind him in a rocking chair.  The Prophet starts to approach but is stopped mid-step with a wave from Wilber.  He has his own mic.

"The TWNation has infected our world like an out of control wildfire.  And all it will take is one very simple little 10 count to eradicate Texas Wildfire and everything that he stands for. And I know, Wildfire, I know you're feeling the pressure too, man. That's why you're up and went and recruited the fans to be your new pawns. But you forgot to tell them the fact that you are just go going to throw them on the front lines and watch them fall and right behind them you will be riding oh so valiantly on your horse making sure your crown don't get too dirty. My brothers and sisters, know that you cannot tame a beast that does not fear. You the fans walk oh so blindly into this deadly alliance and you will finally learn the fact that there are worse things in this world than dying. When your city burned, I was there. When the plague swept your city streets, I was there. And when Texas Wildfire falls falls and his TWnation crumbles, there I will be standing. I am forever. I will always be, and I have always been.  Follow the Buzzards…but don’t get too close.  hahahaha"

We go back to the ring for our next tag team qualifying match.  First, the team of Outback Oscar and the Crocodile Hunter come out to a pop from the crowd.  Next, the team of Superquake Ferguson and Angry Jack Lawson come out and the fans boo them.  Jack hits the ring and attacks Oscar and Croc.  The team of Lawson and Ferguson totally owned the match but once it got to the 16 minute mark, Oscar and Croc took over and concentrated on Ferguson.  Superquake tried to tag his partner in but he just couldn’t make it to his corner.  In the 20^th minute of the match, Ferguson makes the tag to Jack who wasn’t expecting it.  Jack gets in the ring and looks, well, angry.  Croc and Oscar then double teamed him that took the match right to the time limit resulting in a draw finish.  Two more teams are out of the tournament and with this double elimination, it looks like Hardcore Hensen and Jacques Beannot have another bye that will take them right to the semi-finals.  After the match, Jack began to yell at Superquake.  Ferguson tried to calm him down but Jack was too angry and hits Superquake with a Chokeslam.  Jack gets frustrated and walks off.  We can hear him say “I gotta find someone.  I wonder if he’s free…”  I wonder who Jack is talking about or has that last screw finally come loose…?

We waste no time (remember, Master Bull has laundry to do) in moving right into our next match.  First, Tobias Snake makes his way out to a small pop from the crowd.  Next, the ‘Honorable’ JC Dykes comes out and introduces the Unknown Assassin.  The duo are booed as they head down to the ring.  Dykes gets on the mic and calls out Dr. Red Fang for being a coward and not wanting to face the Assassin for fear of getting his ass beat.  The match begins and for the first few moments, it is pretty even until Dykes sticks his nose into the match.  UA then began to own the match but Tobias would not stay down.  As we entered the 17^th minute of the match, Dykes pulled out his whistle and began to blow it trying to distract Tobias.  Tobias made a quick grab at it and then stomped on it on the outside of the ring.  He rolled back in only to get dropped with a piledriver.  He managed to make it to his feet and dropped UA with a snap DDT.  UA makes it to his feet and locks in a standing crossface.  The loudspeakers scream out “VAMPIRE LUNGES FOR EVERYONE”  and UA breaks the hold to watch for him.  Tobias makes it to his feet and hits the Dirty Deeds.  He makes the cover and with his foot on the ropes, gets the 3 count.  Tobias steals a win and leaves quickly.  Dykes gets into the ring to complain to the ref but then Dr. Red Fang and his manager Ant Graham show up on the stage.  Graham, speaking for Fang, says that the Dr. will accept a match against the Unknown Assassin at the PPV HOWEVER…it will be a loser leaves town match.  HCW, even on different rosters, isn’t big enough for the two of them so one has to go.  Dykes yells that he and the Unknown Assassin accept.

One final time, we head backstage and the Wicked Prophet is with the World Champion King Rad Gumbo.  Prophet begins to ask Gumbo about this match but Gumbo says that Ripley is a non-factor.  Gumbo says that he heard through the grapevine that Prophet wants to be a referee.  WP acknowledged that he was in fact granted the request to referee the match between ITF Champion Jacques Beannot and Leon Teremoto at the PPV and then is going to train for an in-ring debut in 2019.  Gumbo wishes Prophet the best of luck and then leaves.  

It’s time for our main event.  First, Bishop Ripley makes his way out to a small pop from the crowd.  Once in the ring, the music changes and we hear “GUMBO 7:30 SAYS ITS SUPPA TIME, BITCH” and out comes the World Champion King Rad Gumbo alongside Queen Alexandria.  The fans boo him and he just eats it up.  He makes his way to the ring and removes his robe and crown before entering.  He gets in, holds the title high and hands it to the ref.  The bell rings and Gumbo hits the Cottonmouth smash.  Ripley comes back with the Chest Burst Smash.  Ripley goes for the pin but Gumbo kicks out a two.  Ripley hits a german suplex but Gumbo straps in the New Orleans Crab.  He grabs the middle rope for extra leverage and Ripley taps out.  King Rad Gumbo wins the match and retains his title in only 2 minutes.   Gumbo gets on the mic and tells Texas Wildfire that he will accept the challenge from Wildfire or Wilber Townsend…whoever it ends up being…he doesn’t care.  Queen Alexandria gets on the mic and calls out Master Bull.  Bull comes on to the stage and she says that Gumbo got his win in two minutes.  Kimberly Kiccsass also comes out saying her match was also two minutes.  Master Bull says that the bonuses are that Kimberly will get a shot at Ruby Rose at the next show to see who will get the shot at Ravishing Raquel and the Ladies title.  She seems happy about that.  Bull tells Gumbo that he is already the World Champion and that he can’t grant him a contract or anything so he asks Gumbo what he would want.  Gumbo says that whomever he meets at the PPV, he wants it to be a specialty match and he wants to pick the stipulation.  Master Bull agrees. 

Just then, Texas Wildfire makes his way out to a HUGE pop from the crowd.  He gets in the ring and tells Gumbo that he’ll be seeing him at the PPV.  He is interrupted by Wilber Townsend (who by the way, is the guy that Gumbo stole the crown from) and Wilber says that he will be the one meeting Gumbo at the PPV.  King Rad says he will fight whomever is left standing.  Master Bull closes the show and says that in Tacoma, TW takes on Wilber with the winner getting the title shot at Gumbo.  The show ends with all 3 men in the ring glaring at each other.
